Best Wedding Planner EVER!!!
Vicky Furman is hands down the BEST wedding planner in the Keys!!! We seriously could not have asked for a better experience. She made our entire wedding day so seamless—we didn’t have to worry about a single thing, which let us actually relax and enjoy every moment!
Vicky is so calm, incredibly knowledgeable, and always one step ahead of everything. No matter what came up, she handled it like a pro!! And her response time is amazing—she always got back to us so quickly and was there for anything we needed throughout the whole process.
We would recommend Vicky to absolutely anyone planning a wedding!!! She is truly the best at what she does! -

Melanie is more than a wedding planner—she’s an angel!
Melanie was truly the heart and soul of our destination wedding, and we cannot recommend her highly enough! From the very beginning, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Planning a wedding from afar can be overwhelming, but Melanie made the entire process feel seamless and even fun. She spent countless hours on the phone with us, patiently answering every question, calming every worry, and thinking through every detail. Her guidance was invaluable — not only did she offer incredible creative ideas, but her advice actually saved us money in so many areas. She genuinely cared about helping us make smart decisions without sacrificing our vision. One of the most special touches was that she hand-painted plates for us. Yes — hand-painted! That level of thoughtfulness, artistry, and dedication is so special. It made our celebration feel so personal and unique, and our guests are still talking about it. She typed up our menus at no extra cost and handled every detail before, during and after our wedding. When I was panicking over a necklace on my wedding day, I called Melanie. She retrieved my necklace so graciously at another resort. We are now in communication about shipping those gorgeous plates home ❤️ Melanie is organized, responsive, creative, and deeply invested in her couples. If you’re looking for a wedding planner who will treat your big day as if it were her own, Melanie is the one. We are beyond grateful for everything she did to make our dream wedding a reality. Booking a wedding in Key West without Melanie is a mistake…
From the moment we started planning our wedding, Melanie was nothing short of incredible. Her attention to detail, calm presence, and deep knowledge of Key West made every step of the process feel effortless. She brought our vision to life in ways we couldn’t have even imagined, handling every vendor, schedule, and last minute strategy session with grace and confidence. Thanks to Melanie, our wedding day and the entire week leading up to it was completely stress free and filled with joy, beauty, and unforgettable memories for us and all of our guests.
Beyond being the best planner we could have asked for, Melanie has truly become a friend. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care went far beyond what we ever expected. Vicky Furman, the BEST of the best!
I cannot recommend Vicky Furman Events enough!!! Vicky was the best wedding planning decision we made... She pours her heart and soul into each wedding she plans (just look at her Instagram), and this was evident in the planning of our special day in Key West at Casa Marina April 2025.
We utilized her full planning services, meeting every other week for a full year. Vicky kept us on track and poured COUNTLESS hours into planning our wedding weekend. We immediately clicked with her – we knew and loved that there was no B.S. to be had mixed with a lot of fun and love! Planning a destination wedding may be daunting especially when it is time to choose important vendors – Vicky made everything easy and provided amazing vendor recommendations along the way. Each vendor we worked with shared with us their highest respect for Vicky, always impressed with her planning work and leadership. Not only was Vicky our planner, but she was also our advocate and became our friend in the wedding industry – this quality we learned is incredibly important to have in a wedding planner.
Vicky committed to planning the wedding of our dreams, and that it exactly was. She brought our vision to life, and then some. Because of Vicky, our wedding planning process was smooth, full of fun and laughter, and most importantly we had the best wedding day of our lives, without any stress. The Best Decision After Saying "Yes!"
Hiring Vicky Furman as our wedding planner was hands down the best decision we made—second only to saying “yes” to the ring! We found Vicky through The Knot and were instantly impressed by her full-service planning approach. She provided us with vendor recommendations, helped manage our budget, and kept track of all the tiny details that make a wedding run smoothly.
What really makes Vicky shine is her personality—she’s incredibly detail-oriented, kind, and honest (in the most supportive way). She kept us calm, confident, and right on schedule, planning our dream wedding in just six months! She took all our preferences to heart and helped bring our vision of a laid-back, beachy celebration with friends and family to life.
Vicky is proactive, flexible, and truly passionate about what she does. She made even the trickiest challenges feel like no big deal—and handled everything with such grace that we never felt overwhelmed. One unforgettable moment: a random drunk guest tried to crash our ceremony, and Vicky handled it so quickly and discreetly (calling the police!) that not a single guest even noticed. That’s the kind of superhero she is.
On the day of the wedding, she and her team were incredibly helpful, making sure we could relax and fully enjoy every moment. She kept us informed without adding stress, and it genuinely felt like everything was under control—which it was!
On top of all that, Vicky’s sense of humor made every planning call something we looked forward to. We’re honestly a little sad the wedding’s over just because we miss talking to her! Over time, she became more than just our planner—she became a true friend.

I can’t even begin to explain how incredibly lucky I was to hire Vicky Furman Events. They were more than I expected or dreamed of. They made this wedding planning process a breeze. The level of professionalism was outstanding. The simplicity of hiring vendors was wonderful. The wedding day process was amazing. Berenice kept me on time and organized while Vicky handled the overall process. I never felt unprepared or unorganized. My day was definitely carefree. They truly are a dream team. I would hire them again in a heart beat and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to do their wedding in the Keys. I can’t thank them enough for bringing my wedding dreams to fruition. Our daughter’s wedding
Vicky worked with us for 18 months and brought to life our daughter’s vision perfectly. Vicky is calm, pays attention to detail, responsive and extremely talented. Best Wedding Ever
We truly had the best wedding ever, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Melanie and Vicky. Initially, we tried to plan everything on our own but quickly realized we were in over our heads. From our very first conversation with Melanie, we knew this was the right fit. She was down-to-earth, approachable, and immediately put us at ease. After a month of stress, we felt instant relief knowing she had our backs.
We wanted something nontraditional that truly reflected our personalities, and Melanie embraced our vision without hesitation. She not only supported our unconventional ideas but also brought fresh, creative suggestions that we wouldn’t have thought of on our own—but absolutely loved.
On the big day, we finally met Vicky, and she was incredible. She ensured everything ran seamlessly and was our guide throughout the day. It was such a relief not to worry about what needed to happen next; she kept everything on track—which, honestly, was a miracle in itself!
Thanks to Melanie and Vicky, we were able to be fully present and enjoy our wedding as if we were guests. Without them, we wouldn’t have had the "best wedding ever," as echoed by everyone who attended.-

I worked with Vicky for the last 12 months and have to say, I made the right decision from the start. She was on the ball when it came to keeping me on track with booking vendors and getting all the little details figured out before the big day. She was prompt to making our scheduled calls and always helped me match my budget to my vision. My husband and I have immense gratitude and appreciation for Vicky and Melanie for the EXCEPTIONAL roles they played in bringing our dream wedding to life! From the very first meeting with Vicky and Melanie, it was very clear these ladies were highly skilled, professional, and truly passionate about what they do. They are very dedicated, hard workers, and pay extreme attention to all details. They listened to our vision, asked the right questions, and were able to point us in the right direction to all of the correct vendors with complete ease. There was 0 stress throughout the entire wedding planning process because of them! Plus they are just total gems and so much fun to work and communicate with. Dream Wedding Came True! Thanks to Vicky Furman Events!
Vicky Furman Events helped make our dream wedding come true. Vicky helped with our rehearsal dinner and our wedding day! We had 150 guests at our wedding for a sit-down dinner and dancing afterwards. Vicky and Melanie helped with coordinating everything and made both days and events run extremely smoothly. There were no hiccups and all of our vendors were exactly where they needed to be thanks to Vicky and Melanie! Vicky was great with communicating before the events, and she was always available to answer our many questions. Vicky and Melanie were both professional, making us feel extremely special on our big wedding weekend. All of our guests are still talking about how our wedding was the best they have ever been to! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Vicki Fuhrman events and hiring Melanie as my wedding coordinator! From the pre-wedding meetings and venue walk-through to the actual wedding day, she showed up and ran the entire event like a boss. I didn’t think I would need a coordinator, boy was I wrong. I couldn’t have done it with out her. From the local knowledge, communication and attention to detail, hiring VF Events was one of the best decisions I made in the wedding planning process. With so many moving parts and 100+ people it was especially helpful to have someone there to keep things moving . Melanie was so amazing, kind, and detail-oriented, which is exactly what I was hoping for. My sister in law and family loved her too and were so happy she was there to assist. Stop Looking! The Best Planner Is Right Here!
I don't even know where to start! Vicky and her crew were simply incredible. You hear your wedding day will be stressful but with Vicky planning your day, it will be one of the most relaxing days. We didn't have to worry about anything. There was a possibility of a storm on our wedding day and Vicky's team was ready with plan B and Plan C in case everything went sideways. Everything ran super smoothly and all the vendors we worked with were great! I wish i could get married more often just to get to work with Vicky more. So, stop looking for your planner. Vicky is the right person and by choosing her, your day will be stress-free and an amazing day! Thank you Vicky!! -

I used Vicky as my wedding planner/coordinator. She was phenomenal! She went over every detail and made sure that my wedding was just perfect. Everyone kept asking me how the planning process was and if I was overwhelmed or stressed and I honestly told everyone that Vicky had everything taken care of for me and that I didn’t feel any stress at all. I can tell that she has been in the game for quite some time. She’s extremely knowledgeable and can be trusted. Vicky and her assistant, Caroline, made me feel like a complete princess on my day and made sure that everything happened exactly when it needed to and that I had everything that I needed. I told Vicky when I met her that I wanted my wedding to look like a styled wedding shoot straight out of a magazine… and she OVER delivered. She is extremely responsive, calm and so fun to work with! We never would have been able to pull off our wedding at the Hemingway Home without her! Even though I had an intimate 16 person micro wedding, Vicky and Melanie made us feel special and very well taken care of from start to finish. I am so thankful we found this team!-

Vicky helped me plan my wedding at Old Town Manor in April 2024. She was a great help throughout the process. She gave me vendor recommendations, made sure my payments were made, made a detailed timeline, and did all of the logistical work leading up to the day. She made sure my needs were met and made our day very special. Her co worker Melanie was also very attentive during my day and helped greatly. She went above and beyond anything I could imagine. I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding near the Florida keys. -

Incredible wedding planning experience
We are so thankful to have had the Vicky Furman Events team lead our wedding planning! Truly, we wouldn't have been able to pull off such a memorable and beautiful wedding without Vicky and Melanie. When I wasn't sure if my ideas could be executed, they found a way. When I didn't know which vendor would be best for catering since I live elsewhere, they knew exactly which one to choose (which my guests are still talking about). Their responsiveness, vendor connections, and on the ground support on the day of the wedding are truly unmatched. I was consistently impressed by their ability to keep us on schedule while also being flexible to our day of changes. Vicky and Melanie have amazing taste and a work ethic that can't be rivaled. Vicky and her team are amazing!
Where do I even begin?! Vicky was truly incredible. Not only did she help us with all planning logistics for months on end, but she knows vendors and the island well and we truly relied on her connections and expertise… which came together for the most INCREDIBLE WEDDING EVER. You need VFE as your planners!
Vicky helped plan our wedding while we were living out of state. She made us feel reassured when we weren’t able to visit vendors or even the venue. This allowed us to book our dream venue when we wanted which we otherwise would not have been able to do. Melanie and Vicky helped us stay organized throughout the entire process with frequent meetings, tips and reminders. Melanie went out of her way to help answer last minute questions or concerns which kept me calm leading up to the wedding. They kept the wedding day on track and handled any small issue that came up so quickly so that I was never aware. I highly recommend. -

Vicky gets it DONE!
Vicky and her team were a huge part of why my wedding was such a success and we are SO thankful that we hired her!! Planning a destination wedding is not for the faint of heart, but Vicky was so helpful with her suggestions and knowledge of Key West and all of the vendors in the area. She was professional and responsive, answered all of my questions and gave great recommendations. She was also especially helpful with wrangling all of my vendors who were on island time. Everyone prepared me by saying "Things will go wrong at your wedding day, but just go with the flow," but I can honestly say that the wedding day truly could not have gone more perfectly thanks to Vicky and Melanie. I had a lot of DIY decor and Vicky made sure that all of my details were well-executed, kept our vendors on schedule, and kept the day stress-free for my husband and me. Our guests raved about how perfect everything was and how efficiently the event was run. Highly, highly recommend Vicky!
If you are looking for a Key West wedding planner, I truly believe you can't do any better than Vicky. As someone with experience in the wedding industry, I originally did not plan to hire a wedding planner. After planning a destination wedding on our own for a few months, I decided to look into some planners in the area - once I had my initial phone call with Vicky, it was a no-brainer to hire her. She is so incredibly knowledgable about the venues, other vendors, and just the Key West wedding industry as a whole.
We were not able to make a trip down to Key West prior to our wedding, so having Vicky on the ground to give us suggestions on design direction, vendor selection, weather preparation, etc. was truly invaluable. The day-of went incredibly seamlessly, even with the threat of rain - my guests raved about everything and I credit the success of our event to all our vendors, especially Vicky. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say Vicky's services were the best money we spent on our (completely magical) wedding weekend, for sure. -

You NEED Vicky to plan your wedding!
My daughter's Key West wedding was perfect, mostly because of Vicky and her assistant, Acey! Her sense of humor, wit, thoughtfulness and authenticity aren't qualities required for an outstanding wedding planner, but Vicky is all of the above and so much more. We loved planning what turned out to be a perfect wedding with Vicky. I recommend her 1000%!!! -

Effortless Planning
Vicky thank you from the bottom of my heart. I found Vicky on a whim - she was helping out a friend with Eventfully Yours answer some questions I had emailed while her friend was out of town. I did not have a planner yet, although I chatted with a few. After our phone call I booked Eventfully Yours and Vicky Furman Events! Not only was she fabulously priced for the amount of work she offered (brides FYI - a lot of planners only give 2 months before the wedding communication, Vicky was unlimited) but she truly cared and was on top of whatever I needed. I don't think I ever waited more than 20 minutes for a response from her. Now if you hire Vicky and are wondering how she does it all - well she does - but she also has an amazing day of helper, Acey. Acey showed up at my ARBNB with the biggest and most infectious smile. During the getting ready process she made me feel like time was mine and she was only there to keep us on track. This truly allowed me to stay present, which was important to me. I wanted Vicky and Acey to be guests at my wedding - not working for me, LOL! My family could not stop talking about how great both girls were. They took care of business when they had to, celebrated when it was appropriate and made everything literally effortless. If I could do it all again I would, with Vicky on my team. Our wedding was the best day of our lives. I highly recommend marrying your best friend at the Audubon House and Tropical Gardens with the best team to start the beginning of your forever! -

What An Amazing Experience!
I’m not sure where to begin this review because working with Vicky was priceless. I can’t thank her enough for how she made us feel throughout the planning process and the friendship I ended up gaining.
If you do not hire Vicky and her team, you are making a mistake. I’ve been in a number of weddings and have seen all levels of coordination/planning. I’m not biased when I say our wedding was one of the most organized and smoothly ran events. Vicky orchestrated the perfect day from start to finish. Our wedding day (and the planning experience) was so fun and stress free which couldn’t have happened without Vicky and Jackie. Read that again… how many people can honestly say that their wedding planning and day was fun AND stress free?
Vicky organized touch base calls for the two of us throughout the planning process to ensure we were on track (of course we were!). I could call/email/text her for absolutely anything and she was extremely responsive. Jesse and I drove down the weekend after Thanksgiving to meet with Vicky face to face and to meet with a few of our other vendors (shout out to: Monika at Duarte Floral, Iris Photography, Bradi at Catered Affairs and KW Cakes). If you are unable to make a visit down prior to your wedding, don’t fret. I would have complete confidence in Vicky’s guidance virtually.
On the day of the wedding, Vicky had Jackie assist. Jackie was such a gem and helped with all the little details. She helped make sure I had all of my personal items (like lipstick, purse, etc) for pictures and after the wedding. She brought my “party” dress over and helped me change quickly into it during the reception. We ran low on wine and she ran to the store and got us another case! After the wedding, she put all of our items back in our hotel room (wedding dress, cake!, our signage, gifts, etc). We stayed at the Kimpton Lighthouse directly across the street and this was incredibly helpful!
Vicky has a gift of making everyone around her smile, have fun, feel at ease and confident that everything is taken care of. Her attentiveness, attention to detail and flawless execution skills created the perfect event. We look back on our wedding and couldn’t have imagined a better weekend. I attribute this to all of our amazing vendors, but Vicky in particular for being the quarterback.
If you want the A+ team, hire Vicky and the rest of the vendors we used ;) I gained a friend throughout this and couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience.-

Vickey is absolutely incredible to have in your corner going into your wedding day. On the day of my wedding, I did not worry at all about any potential issues or setbacks as I knew Vicky would fix it immediately. I don’t know if there are words in the English language to adequately describe what it was like to have Vicky managing our wedding day, but I’m going to try. First, I will say that we were introduced to Vicky just a few weeks before our wedding when our original coordinator had an unavoidable conflict, and at that point I was a nervous wreck. Our wedding date came upon us 8 1/2 weeks after Hurricane Ian left us with the shell of our home standing, and our hopes and dreams truly battered. I was a wreck, but in the very first call with Vicky, she assured me our wedding would be perfect, and somehow I believed her.
Vicky is organized, knowledgeable, kind, confident, creative, and calming. She made me feel like our wedding was the most important thing she had going on in the world. She listened and made recommendations and suggestions that made our day truly spectacular. We had 55 guests attending our Key West wedding from all around the country and every one of them complimented us on the wedding- how smoothly everything ran, how organized it was, how they loved the sea glass escort cards (last minute recommendation by Vicky, as I hadn’t yet figured out how I would get folks their seat assignments)…. Everything was flawless and from the moment I woke up, I did not have to worry about one thing. We literally just enjoyed our day and let Vicky run with it. Vicky knew all the other vendors we had hired from decor, catering, venue, photography, video, florals….etc… and she made sure everything happened on schedule and to the highest standards. If you are searching for a professional who will make sure your day is better than you could have dreamed, call Vicky Furman. She’s the real deal!!-

Dream come true!
Hiring Vicky to help plan and coordinate my wedding was literally the best decision we made regarding our wedding! She was perfect from the very first minute! She worked with me for a year and was always ready and available with any questions I had. Everything, every person, every place Vicky recommended was absolutely 100% the best! I cannot begin to express how grateful we were to have Vicky be a part of our wedding day/planning experience. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but planning a destination wedding gives added challenges since we cannot physically be there to oversee every last thing. Hiring Vicky Furman was the BEST choice, and she made the entire experience easy, fun, and stress free! She was proactive and responsive and 10 steps ahead of the game at all times. I love vicky furman!
Words cannot express our gratitude for Vicky Furman. Our wedding in Key West was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of her. Kurt and I came to her with a budget and a few ideas and she worked her magic and brought it to life. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again! If you think you can go with just any planner well...DON'T! I started planning alone for around 30 people because it was a destination wedding and immediately got overwhelmed. From the first call I never had doubts that everything was just gonna work out perfectly! Vicky is tough and not for the weak of heart :D but don't be scared, its tough love! She will tell you how it is so you don't waste your time or money and she will make sure your vision comes to life.
Vicky Furman is definitely a top-notch wedding coordinator and we were incredibly lucky to have chosen her for our fairytale wedding. She had everything under control from day 1. My husband and I laugh about it now but I used to text her in the middle of the night if I was panicking about something, she would always reassure us, no matter what time, sorry Vicky :D I was a little bit of a wreck at some point like every anxious bride I suppose!
We married a week before hurricane Ian hit the island, I was thinking that we would have had to reschedule the wedding and it really wasn't an option, the location we chose for our wedding had damage so Vicky called me for a backup plan if indeed they weren't able to fix our venue. Even during the hurricane she kept in touch with me and kept me up to date with everything. The most important thing that she did for us was to reassure us that everything was gonna turn out just fine, and it did, she made it happen, we are sooooo grateful for you Vicky!
My husband and I would love to renew our vows in 10 years and yes, we would choose her once again! I LOVE, LOVEEEE VICKY!

Vicky was amazing. Not living in Key West, my daughter and I relied on her for so many recommendations and decisions regarding an October wedding at Old Town Manor. Besides making great recommendations for our awesome vendors, Vicky was proactive in securing a beautiful tent in case it rained on the day of the wedding. It did! In Florida fashion a thunder storm rolled on and Vicky was ready. During the rain, our guests enjoyed an amazing dinner! The storm cleared and the dancing began. The Best!!
From day one Vicky and I had a connection -- one that I knew she would pull out all the stops to make our wedding day special. Not only did she go above and beyond making it spectacular, she brought to life my vision and it was better than I ever imagined.
Working with Vicky, I gave her key words that described my husband and I in what we were looking for as a theme. Within the first few weeks of interacting with Vicky, I remember saying "Vicky, I trust you". Through the months of planning Vicky made it easy for us to plan a wedding in Key West while being located in Chicago. She would give us options and help us narrow the focus for the vendors who were able to bring their expertise to the experience.
One possible issue with having an outdoor wedding in Key West is weather complications. Vicky knew exactly when & what to do/say to calm our nerves & how to keep the party going. The ultimate professional, she knows how to navigate any possibility & what steps to take to mitigate extenuating circumstances.
Vicky was able to utilize my rough ideas & cultivate a magical night for us -- one that won't be forgotten & has become the gold standard for everyone who was in attendance. -

Vicky is the best!
If you are looking for a wedding planner in Key West, do not look any further. Vicky was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the minute I inquired about having my wedding at the Hemingway House, Vicky was on the phone with me walking me through each step. She goes above and beyond in all that she does.
I thought planning a destination wedding with a full weekend of events would be overwhelming but Vicky made it incredibly easy and a joy. She was able to make my vision come to life and it was truly incredible! Especially since I wasn’t going to Key West before the wedding. Vicky has a calming demeanor and was there for me at every part of the planning process. I wouldn’t even know where to begin without her. Best of the Best! Vicky Furmam
We had my daughters wedding and reception at The Hemingway home on 6-11-22. We could not have been happier and more pleased. The experience was great from looking at the Hemingway Home for the first time to the last call. They made it so easy planning a wedding from afar. They gave you a list of their preferred vendors they work with and we rolled with it. We worked with Vicky Furman, wedding and Events Coordinater and she was excellent. She was on top of things from the beginning by answering all our questions and Suggesting anything we forgot. She answered all our emails right away and her communication was top notch. I cannot recommend her or The Hemingway Home more. It was the most beautiful place from the ceramony spot, to the cocktail hour by the pool and lastly the reception area by the house. All of our guests were in awww by the whole celebration! It was beautiful!-

Wedding Perfection
Sheer perfection. If I had to describe our wedding using only two words those would be it. My husband and Iive in Austin, TX so having our destination wedding in Key West at the Hemingway Home was of course very fun to plan but being so far away from
home there was a lot of uncertainty. Heck, we didn’t even see the venue in person until the wedding rehearsal day! But let me tell you - I wouldn’t have done anything differently. I put my full trust into Vicky, our month of coordinator, and the rest of our vendors (Great Events Catering, KissMe Entertainment, Key West Cakes) and they created the most magical night of our lives. They say perfection doesn’t exist, but I can assure you it does, because that’s exactly what my husband & I experienced on 04/23/22. The best wedding coordinator in Key West
What can I say about Vicky. Honestly, I didn’t think I needed a wedding coordinator for my intimate wedding of 26 guests. I’m a very detail-oriented and organized person and have run my own business, managing staff and vendors, for over 25 years. But my venue, Old Town Manor, strongly encouraged me to hire one and I’m so glad they did. I can tell you without hesitation that hiring Vicky was by far the best decision I made for my wedding! Living in California, there is no way I could have pulled off my wedding so seamlessly without her. She saved me so much time, energy and expense. She understood my vision, was extremely responsive anytime I messaged her and she took initiative to anticipate needs I didn’t even know I had. Wedding of a lifetime
My husband and I just got married at the Hemingway house in February. I cannot rave enough about this venue and the staff. Vicky Furman was our coordinator. She was excellent, responsive, detail orientated and a calming presence through the whole process. All of her recommendations and suggestions were on point. Although you chose all your vendors they all know each other and truly operate as a well organized machine! Even with a little rain the wedding was perfect. From the ceremony, to the cocktail hour to the reception everything was excellent! Any hiccup that came our way (which is inevitable) Vicky was innovative and had a solution that honestly turned out better than I could have ever imagined. If you want a truly unique, beautiful and professionally handled wedding then book at HH! Our guests were absolutely blown away and they all can’t stop raving about it. The whole experience was absolutely magical! My only regret is not booking on a Saturday because it was so much fun and I wish I could have had one extra hour!-

Dream Day-Of Coordinator
This is your sign to have your wedding at the Hemingway House if you're in any way considering it. Despite having to postpone our date, we could not have asked for a smoother planning process, and our day was everything we'd dreamed it would be. Vicky was an incredible day-of coordinator, assuring us along the way and making sure everything was in order. The vendors were also all excellent. (We went with Great Events for catering, Milan Event for florals, and Eventfully Yours for equipment.) We wouldn't have changed a thing, and we're so thankful to everyone who played a role in our special day. -

Vicky made our day PERFECT!
I wish I could repeat our wedding day 30x over! The Hemingway Home was the most magical venue - from the ceremony, to cocktail hour by the pool, to the garden reception under twinkle lights. The night flowed perfectly and we wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Vicky was so great to work with, so communicative during the planning process, and great to bounce questions and ideas off (from vendor suggestions, to little details we should consider adding, to the best Duval bars to hit after the reception). She made the month leading up to the wedding stress free since she took the lead on communicating with our vendors, and she helped to make our wedding day perfect. We were so thankful for her, and our wedding party loved her too!
We have gotten so many comments from our guests on how it was the “best wedding ever”, “most fun wedding ever”, etc., and I know that was thanks to such a unique venue and the little details Vicky helped us put together.-

Best Wedding Planner in Key West
My now wife and I HIGHLY recommend using Vicky Furman for your wedding planning! Vicky was absolutely amazing! She worked with us for a full year, even though we hired her as a day of wedding planner. Throughout this year, Vicky gave great recommendations for vendors and consistently checked in with us during the stressful planning process.
On the rehearsal and wedding days, Vicky was on top of everything. She made sure we stuck to our timeline, but was also flexible when she needed to be. She helped set up and breakdown items that we brought for our 2 venues. She did a wonderful job at coordinating our vendors and making sure everything looked perfect. Vicky also helped coordinate photoshoots and transportation for our 60+ guests.
Overall, Vicky Furman is fantastic, extremely nice, helpful and our guests absolutely loved her too. Best thing was she was honest and straight forward. Again, my wife and I would strongly recommend Vicky to everybody! -

The Best Wedding Decision You’ll Make!
If you are thinking about getting married in Key West, go ahead and switch the decision to ‘yes’ and then make your next decision hiring Vicky as your planner.
This woman is amazing! She is efficient, organized, well connected and so knowledgeable of the key west wedding scene. She’s also incredibly kind and calm but gets things done!! My husband and I had booked our wedding pre-covid and she helped us navigate moving our wedding date so that all of our guests could make it and have the BEST TIME EVER!
We gave her our budget up front and from there she helped us find vendors that not only fit our budget, but surpassed our expectations!! From our DJ (Sanaris - just the best ever!!) to the catering (Destination Catering - fantastic crew and food!!) and all the little details - everyone she recommended was perfect!
Day of (or week of I should say) Vicky was on top of it. She met up with us and collected all of the things we brought for the wedding, managed to perfectly arrange the seating for our guests at the venue, kept everyone organized and on time, as well and took care of my husband and I all night. When I needed water I turned around and literally Vicky was walking up with water. When we were mingling with guests I thought “I need to go grab a drink!” And there was Vicky with my exact drink in hand. My whole family and bridal party were impressed with Vicky through and through. Honestly our wedding was as great as it was because we hired Vicky.
We could go on with nothing but great things to say about her - but as a naturally disorganized bride who hasn’t had her wedding planned for years, hiring Vicky was probably our best decision when it came to our wedding planning!-

Phenomenal doesn’t even begin to describe Vicky. She made planning such a breeze with preferred vendors she trusted and knew would do a great job and she was right! She is as detail oriented as I am (which I don’t say often) and was one step ahead at all times. Month of the wedding I handed over my invoices and details and she made it all come alive! Everything we wanted in our wedding with ease
Going into the planning of our wedding we weren’t sure if we were going to have a small wedding or elope. We decided to elope and it couldn’t have gone better. Having lived in Key West for a bit and knowing the town and visiting the Hemingway House often, we decided what better place. Once I sent an inquiry about the wedding packages it took off from there. Vicky was amazing and made the entire process as easy as could be. We chose to live stream the event and once we were done with the ceremony, we had time for pictures around the property. So if you are looking around for places, look no further, Vicky and the Hemingway House are the best! And for added ease and convenience, directly across the street is the Lighthouse Hotel. We stayed there and just walked out of the hotel and right into the front of the Hemingway House.
Vicky was on it and we couldn’t have been happier. She is a great asset to have on your wedding team for sure. -

We got married at the Hemmingway Home in April 2021. We fell in love with the house and the grounds back on a tour in 2109 and that was it. We had so many compliments on how beautiful the space was for both the ceremony and reception. We live in Maryland and after reading all of the wonderful reviews about Vicky, I just had to book her as my wedding planner. Even though I was states away, she was always so responsive and was always 10 steps ahead of any question I had. I think every Bride is worried about the day going seamlessly and Vick will 100% do that for you. She knows the wedding business and the different vendors like the back of her hand. My now-husband and I were married at the Hemingway Home on May 8, 2021. We can not say enough good things about Vicky! Vicky worked with us, and by worked with us, I mean she held my hand as I asked one million questions throughout the planning process. At the start of planning, Vicky provided us with a booklet of protocol, vendors, and planning recommendations. This was extremely helpful, and she walked me through booking each vendor, asking what we were looking for and recommending one or two that would be appropriate to meet those needs and our budget. Vicky made sure that everything was perfect, from the vendors to bustling my dress when my bridesmaids couldn't figure it out. I had my wedding at The Ernest Hemingway Home on May 1, 2021 and it was incredible. Vicky was our coordinator and she was amazing. Super professional, but personable. She was always on top of everything and was overall super helpful. She never let me feel stressed or overwhelmed as we planned the wedding from out of state. We had about 95 guests and every single one of them were impressed with the venue and the wedding as a whole. Vicky was an absolute pleasure to work with. As a full-time graduate student with a full-time job, I quickly realized that planning an entire out of town wedding on my own was not in the cards for me. I contacted and spoke with a few wedding planners but didn't feel like we made a great connection. I randomly found Vicky online and she asked if we could set up a call within the next 24 hours. As soon as we began talking, my stress began feeling lighter. Immediately on that very first phone call, Vicky began going through all of my wedding details and provided me with recommendations and vendors she knew personally. We chatted for over an hour, and I hadn't even paid her yet nor signed a contract! She stepped in and took charge without hesitation, when I needed it most. Vicky would respectfully provide me with recommendations or insight on different things for my wedding that I had not even thought of, which was extremely helpful. Vicky paid close attention to detail, for example, bringing a bin with little waters to my outdoor ceremony at Fort Zachary Taylor, so that my wedding party and guests were comfortable and hydrated. I am so happy with the wedding vendors I picked and how seamlessly they all worked together to make my big day special. Amazing place for any size wedding
I could not be happier with how my elopement went at Hemingway House. The grounds are so clean with a perfect tropical feel - and the cats are just so cute. It really is so gorgeous!! We made the decision to elope due to Covid-19 constraints. We wanted something beautiful, relaxed, but still very special. When we learned that the Hemingway Home did small weddings, we knew that was the place for us. We were happy from our very first conversations with Vicky Furman, our event planner, all the way through the entire process. Our wedding was very small, with only our grown children in attendance. But, even with a small wedding, you still have to think of photography, lighting, flowers, seating, timing, etc. Vicky gave us great vendor options, and reached to all of them, making sure it all came together seamlessly. It was a magical day, with the most beautiful backdrop of the Hemingway Home and gardens. We would not have changed one thing! -

Vicky Furman is PHENOMENAL!!!
I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. Vicky and the Hemingway staff were the best, most professional people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Not just for my wedding, but throughout my life. Any time I reached out to Vicky, no matter what time or day of the week it was, she responded promptly with all the info I needed. Destination weddings can be more difficult due to the fact that you are not able to meet your vendors/try out whatever you’re looking to book before the actual wedding. With Vicky, this was not the case... she made me feel totally at ease throughout the entire thing and recommended the most amazing vendors that fit our needs based on what I told her her we envisioned for our wedding.
Once the day finally came, it was nothing short of perfect. The grounds and decor were BEAUTIFUL and with Vicky’s experience she made the entire event go so smoothly and everything looked flawless. It was better than anything I could’ve dreamed of. I didn’t know much about wedding planning or even which venue would be best for us when I first started looking - and I can say with 200% certainty if you book with Vicky she will exceed your expectations. I feel so lucky that we found her and that we were able to experience her EXCEPTIONAL service. If you choose to work with Vicky and the Hemingway Home staff, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.-

The most amazing day because of Vicky!!!

Vicky Furman Is The Best!!!
Our experience at the Hemingway House exceeded all of our expectations. Everything from the ambience, to the food, to the staff was exceptional. The wedding site, which included the garden for the ceremony, the pool area for the cocktail hour, and the lawn for the reception, were decorated impeccably. It was romantic, elegant, and altogether ideal for us and our 75 guests, who also commented on how incredible the site was. All of the little details we wanted were pulled off exactly how we imagined, a testament to the incredible work done by our planner, Vicky Furman. We worked closely with her for over a year in preparation for our big day, and we could not have chosen a better person to guide us through this process, which was difficult at times due to the pandemic. We could not have done this without her; she was the driving force behind our perfect day at the Hemingway House. My husband and I will always recommend Vicky and this venue for couples planning a wedding, and we’re certain many of our guests will as well. It was a night we will never forget! -

COVID hurricane wedding
For months we had been planning a big 100-person wedding and reception at the Hemingway Home, and were so excited. But when COVID happened, we decided we had to scale it way back. Vicky and Jen were really accommodating and worked with us to scale it back on fairly short notice, reducing our headcount to fewer than 20 people, eliminating the reception, cutting the cost and even changing the date. Then, the week of the big day, a hurricane was threatening to hit the keys. We didn’t have a backup plan for rain, much less a major storm. But when we arrived for our rehearsal, Vicky walked us through a plan B, C and D in case of different levels of rain, and assured us we’d get married one way or another. It made us feel much better. On the big day, the rain stopped just in time and everything was perfect. We felt like we were in good hands the whole time. -

Peace of mind
My husband and I got married at the Hemingway House about four weeks ago and I am SO THANKFUL that Vicky was our coordinator. As soon as I met Vicky I was so impressed with her wealth of knowledge, her amazing recommendations, and her calm spirit!! I knew I had to have her by my side on our big day. I honestly did not think planning a destination wedding would be so easy and so.much.fun. -- I loved every second of it. On our wedding day everything was so perfect, the timeline was seamless, and it was truly a joy to have Vicky there with us. I even had a pretty epic dress malfunction (think Janet Jackson moment!!) and I swear within 20 seconds Vicky was by my side with a sewing kit ready to sew me back in. Fairytale made simple!
Working with Vicky on planning our special day was nothing less than seamless. Her knowledge, communication and passion for wedding planning in Key west, far exceeded what we were expecting when we decided to hire a wedding coordinator. Easy Choice, Hire Vicky
We had our wedding at Ocean Key Report on March 7, 2020. Ocean Key required a day-of coordinator and boy are we glad they did! Vicky was highly recommended to us by another vendor. I learned there are two things you need in a wedding planner/day of coordinator: 1. Calm demeanor, 2. Highly educated in the wedding/event industry, 3. In the know about local vendors. Vicky checks all 3 boxes. She killed it through during the planning process and on our wedding day. Even though she was our day of coordinator, Vicky was there for me during the planning process and had amazing insight to support me through something that was new to me. Vendor choices are hard to make. Vicky had worked with all of them and provided her honest opinion. She pointed out decisions I needed to make that I never thought of – and I thought I was detailed! She is very seasoned in the wedding business. I had no worries – which is of the utmost importance when you are getting married. My husband also was very vocal on how happy he was with her the day of.
Hire Vicky, I promise you will have no regrets

Amazing, our wedding was perfect and we couldn't have done it without Vicky!
Throughout our wedding planning both from St. Petersburg, FL and our several trips to Key West, Vicky was very professional and fun to work with. We instantly got along with her and we stayed in touch with phone calls, emails and quick text messages. She answered any and all questions we had for her.
During our wedding day everything went so smoothly with not one hiccup and we credit all of that to Vicky. You cannot go wrong with Vicky as your wedding planner. :) -

The Best Day Ever
We started planning our wedding 16 months ahead of time. As a native Floridian I knew I wanted to be near the ocean but I didn't want the traditional beach wedding. Enter Hemingway Home and Vicky. With Vicky's help all of our wedding dreams came true! She was amazing from first point of contact to the end of the night. She kept me updated every step of the way and never took longer than a few hours to respond to an email. She was also available via text and when planning a destination wedding, it was so crucial. Vicky provided information and assistance I never found on any wedding planning website. She made sure our day was absolutely perfect, even when we had last minute people not attending our plated dinner (which may have been pretty stressful without her help).
We are SO happy we chose Vicky. -

Vicky is the best!
Vicky was great and easy to work with. I don’t know how my big day (Destination-type wedding) would’ve gone down without her. I had no idea what I was doing in terms of planning a wedding and she was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Her calm and easy-going demeanor throughout the whole process, was a breath of fresh air, as wedding planning could have been a stressful time. Truly amazing
Just got married here about two weeks ago. It was a small wedding about 75 guests. When we first started planning our wedding we had no clue where to begin or even what we wanted. The only thing for certain was that we wanted Hemingway House. Our first contact was with Vicky Furman. With her knowledge and expertise she Provided guidance that turned out to be the most wonderful advice we could had been given. Our wedding day was truly spectacular.
We were able to incorporate all our wedding elements into the space and the grounds of the house between all the candles and the decorations and the lighting it truly was amazing and beautiful and picturesque. Could not have been happier with the fact that we chose this venue and Vicky as our wedding coordinator.
We could never thank Vicky enough for her professionalism, guidance, responsiveness. She treated us like family not just another client. Knowing that she cares and has our best interest in mind helped us get through the whole process

Vicky is amazing! Highly recommend!
Vicky is an amazing wedding planner and there is no way that we could have pulled off our destination dream wedding without her support, networks and organizational/planning skills as well as she is one of the most friendly people I know! My husband and I live in Virginia, and Key West is our favorite destination spot so we knew we wanted to get married there...but didn't know where to start. Once we had our initial meeting with Vicky, the stress was gone and she took charge! She walked us through sequentially what decisions/vendors we had to make/select by key deadlines. Vicky helped us to select our venue, caterer, photographer, florist, event rentals, DJ, hair & makeup and transportation! And all were outstanding! My friends and family said that this was the best wedding they have ever attended! And lastly, all the way leading up to our wedding (even hours before), all of my friends mentioned that they could not believe how stress free I was! So, if you are considering a wedding in Key West, I highly recommend Vicky to assist with your planning. She will create a wedding of your dreams! -

Don't think twice about hiring her - you cannot find a better planner than Vicky!
Vicky is more of a planner than I could ever have dreamed of. She was very responsive (on average replies within the hour, which is unheard of...), gives good advice/perspective, and is on top of every single detail. There was not a single thing that didn't go as planned - the wedding was perfect and better than I could've ever imagined. She has such a great handle on everything, makes sure we were having a good time, give advice on how to keep calm during the ceremony, and I honestly cannot ask for a better planner. She knows all the vendors, knows how to calm the nerves (wasn't sure if it was going to rain so a bit of panic), and is very organized. I cannot speak more highly of Vicky and don't think twice about hiring her - it will be the best decision you'd make regarding your wedding planning! -

That was the theme of our experience with Vicky.
As the wedding planner for the Hemingway House she is the best thing ever to happen to weddings.
We live in Washington, DC and love Key West. We decided to get married at the Hemingway House, which due to distance, provided a fair number of obstacles. Work had ramped up for both of us and we had no opportunities to get down to Key West prior to the wedding.
Needless to say, as we were beginning to work through the details of our wedding, more issues mounted. More and more questions kept coming up. (weddings are insane). I could almost physically see the weight of this wedding on my fiancée’s shoulders.
Along came Vicky.
Let me get the tangibles out of the way.
Your email will get a thoughtful and prompt reply.
She will answer you via text if you prefer, and those are also prompt.
She will answer ALL of your questions and provide guidance when needed.
She is a drill sergeant when needed (basically while herding your family and friends through the rehearsal), but one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
Every detail will be covered.
You will feel like you are her only client. You aren’t.
There. Those were the easy tangibles. Now for the not so tangibles.
When you face an issue, a question about ANYTHING, contact her. We did and she not only went above and beyond with answering any questions but also with her general assistance throughout the wedding with various logistics (like how were we going to get pictures down to the venue and set up?). I mentioned earlier that I could physically see a weight on my fiancées shoulders. That weight was no longer there. Vicky wrapped her arms around our wedding and the stress was lifted.
Vicky wants nothing more than for your wedding to be special. We were facing potential down-pours for our wedding and as you know in the islands, you never know if and when it is going to rain nor the intensity of that rain.
Vicky suggested we put a tent on hold, which we did. Since the probability of rain kept fluctuating and the event rental company needed 3 days notice for a final yes or no, Vicky helped us negotiate letting them know 48 hours prior. Which we did, thankfully, because it did pour and we were prepared. She also quietly and seamlessly passed umbrellas to groups of guests. They are still raving about how phenomenal and beautiful our wedding was.
She will take YOU in to account. What do I mean by that? We really wanted to be present during our cocktail hour but we had agreed to let our amazing photographers scoot us around the property for the best pictures. Vicky asked that this was okay and then made sure that we had food and drinks. She also made sure that we were where we needed to be and where we wanted to be as well. She made sure that not only did we do what we had to do, but also enjoyed our own wedding. Not an easy task.
In short, we can’t say enough good things about Vicky!

Vicky and Hemingway Home were an absolute joy to work with. They were kind, accommodating, fun, and made it so we had the wedding of our dreams. Incredible coordinator!!
Vicky was the perfect event coordinator to help pull together lose strings for our casual outdoor beach wedding. She gave me a few vendor recommendations (that were all excellent!) and helped plan a beautiful vision in a blank space. She was professional and very focused on her work but also knew when it was time to relax a little on a certain issue.
