The Best Wedding Planner!
I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa as our wedding planner, and I cannot express how incredibly fortunate we were to have her expertise and dedication throughout the entire wedding planning process. Vanessa is not just a wedding planner; she is a true maestro of all things wedding-related.
From the moment we engaged her services, Vanessa proved to be exceptionally hands-on and organized. It was evident that her main priority was ensuring that we not only had a memorable day but enjoyed every moment, from the initial planning stages to the final dance.
One of Vanessa's standout qualities is her remarkable responsiveness. She was always just a call or message away, ready to address any concerns or questions promptly. Vanessa played the role of a mediator between us and the various vendors involved, ensuring that everyone was on the same page and that our vision was executed flawlessly.
One aspect that truly set Vanessa apart was her meticulous attention to detail when it came to financial matters. She kept us informed and on schedule with payments, which significantly reduced any stress related to budget management.
Professionalism exudes from Vanessa in every interaction. Her demeanor and conduct throughout the entire planning process were nothing short of exemplary. She exhibited an impressive level of ownership and control over all aspects of the wedding, leaving us with complete peace of mind.
Furthermore, Vanessa was not only receptive to our preferences and requests but also incredibly innovative. She brought fresh and creative ideas to the table, suggesting ways we could enhance our special day even further. Her ability to blend tradition with innovation added an extra layer of magic to our wedding.
What truly stands out in our memories is Vanessa's detailed agenda. Thanks to her meticulous planning, we were able to enjoy a peaceful meal together as husband and wife before diving into all the wedding festivities. It was a precious moment of serenity that we'll cherish forever.

Wow is all I can say. Vanessa is such a professional and knows all the right things to do to keep a bride calm. From the day we hired her, she constantly kept in touch with us and was very attentive to every detail. She is such an expert at improvising when needed and was always prepared. Her professionalism and passion for what she does definitely have us the impression that she was on the same page with us and the rapport we were able to build with her, made her like family to us. Where do I start Vanessa , we have worked together on many weddings , but the moment I became a bride, I honestly saw what your brides have been blessed with. Vanessa when unforeseen circumstances occurred and I went into a panic you immediately put on your cape and grabbed my hand , calmed me down and help me finish my journey. I can’t say thank you enough for helping me pull all the pieces that together to create my PERFECT DREAM WEDDING… within MY BUDGET..

Vanessa really made our dreams into reality! We were a GA couple planning a destination wedding in Daytona Beach, FL. She planned our ENTIRE wedding beginning to end with ease! She is an expert in her craft and kept us on budget! Vanessa made sure that my husband and I were both included in every decision making. I loved that she reminded my husband that it was his special day as well. Everyone complimented on how calm of a Bride I was and it was certainly due to Vanessa! My wedding was everything I could have dreamed of and more. The love in the room was palpable.
Vanessa and I talked for 1 year about this wedding—sharing ideas, & inspiration on what we wanted the wedding to look like. Vanessa understood the vision and mission the entire time. Our wedding was not traditional, and she appreciated that, and executed that. I’m super thankful for her on that end.
Throughout the wedding planning process, there were a few times where our communications crossed. As a bride, you have a vision for the biggest day of your life & you want that to be held in regard with love and care. You want to feel like you’re working as a team. Unfortunately, I can’t say I felt like that on our journey together. I felt like I annoyed her, although she was paid from a business service.
On our initial call, we were told that Instagram would be a big inspiration piece for wedding decor and details. For that reason, we would have up until 2 weeks or so to change any decor we wanted.
Around 6 months out, I made a switch in the arch shape, and she asked us “are you sure this is the last time you’re going to change this?“ which seemed as if she was bothered with my changes. When I emailed her professionally explaining how this caused confusion for me.. she said she “was joking”. From a brides perspective (even a business perspective), it didn’t feel like a joke. No bride wants to feel like they’re bothering their planner— someone they personally hand-picked to work alongside.
During the wedding, we fell completely astray of the timeline. I just keep asking myself “where was Vanessa.” Toasts were supposed to begin at promptly 8:45 PM, but they started around 10:30PM— when I went to Vanessa asking her when we were doing them (along with bouquet toss and garter removal). With this, The best man gave his speech at 11pm and party ended at 12am. Unfortunately, Some guests had already left before these speeches
Not to mention—1 week before, we added in 2 extra hours of videography for $700). But, because of the chaotic attention to the timeline, the videographers left (as supposed to) right before the best man’s speech. This was a huge hiccup—as we paid extra, there should’ve been no valid reason for this.
She told me she was upset that the videographers left—and worked to make things better by gathering footage from the wedding guests to piece together the best man’s speech for our highlight video. I appreciate her efforts, but we didn’t pay for iPhone footage. We paid for top-of-the-line professional footage, and that unfortunately fell through.
Private cake cutting was supposed to be at 6:45pm and that didn’t happen until 10:34pm, and it wasn’t private. We were supposed to have a last dance at 11:55pm, that never happened, We had no last dance at all. We were supposed to have a newlywed send off, that didn’t happen— People just dissipated out of the venue.
We had a few celebrities at our wedding, and V managed to get pictures/ FaceTime call with family with each. That didn’t bother me bc she was part of this event, and all of them are loving and more than happy to do this. But the fact that These things were done before the toast, led me to believe that she had prioritized content with them, over her paid clients —my fiancé and I.
On wedding day Vanessa pulled up our wedding group chat (with my fiancé)… and I was a-taken back to find that neither of our numbers were saved. So even after 1 year of talking, it came across as transactional for her; which unfortunately is not how my husband and I build relationships in this period of our life.
I wish Vanessa and I had better chemistry & understanding during the wedding planning process. It felt that the wedding planning evolved without any emotion or real relationship building.
I wanted to write this review, for some points to be considered, and hopefully work toward honoring the next bride— her thoughts, concerns, & her dream wedding experience🤍

Kalina I’m so happy you and Jamal had a beautiful wedding day. There were a lot of things that were requested on the day the wedding and since I know how important a wedding day is, as your planner I accommodated each request (1st looks that were not scheduled, tik took video iPhone footage and bridesmaids getting ready at the venue instead of at the Airbnb) to name a few.
Once an event is delayed all formalities are naturally pushed back. It is highly recommended to have certain bridal party speak on wedding day and anyone else at the rehearsal dinner. This is discussed in every timeline call meeting. However, in this case all guest had the opportunity to speak with no time limit.
Communication has and always will be open, we spoke via phone, text, email, Instagram DM, FaceTime and Zoom every week. Im sure it can be very stressful living on the west coast planning a wedding on the east coast so communication with you was far more than any client to make sure you felt supported. Messages sent during other clients events were answered immediately. As for phone numbers; all of my clients are in my phone and documented in our cloud based client portal which is also on my phone. My assistant has the numbers as well so that it is readily available in the event I’m away from my desk or away from my phone and need to contact my clients. I also have group chats with each couple for quick check ins.
Event planning is not just a job for me, it’s my passion, my purpose and I’ve always had your thoughts, concerns and vision priority while planning your wedding! I will do the same for all my couples!
I too hope this helps other brides understand that even when things change, I’m able to adjust and make things work before the event end time per contract and still deliver above expectation!
