Hair and makeup was the vendor I was most nervous about when we first started planning our wedding. I don’t wear a lot of makeup regularly and I was worried I wouldn’t look or feel like myself on my wedding day. Andrea was recommended to me by a friend and I am SO happy I went with her. She took into consideration how I was feeling, what I wanted the day of, and made sure to consider my skin type. She even gave me a bunch of tips at the trial on how to prep my skin and they made a huge difference. The trial itself went wonderfully and the wedding day was even better. Andrea and her extra artists were fantastic, fast, and everyone in my bridal party loved their hair and makeup. I felt so beautiful and love how I looked in all my photos from beginning to end. I cannot recommend Andrea enough and now hope I have another event in the future where I need my hair and makeup done just so I can hire her again. -

All around great experience!
Andrea was so great to work with and calmed my nerves! She paired me up with Luz who was a delight. It was originally going to just be me getting bridal hair done and she ended up styling 6 of us. Everyone loved their hair and she worked efficiently and got us all done on time. -

Andrea and team are amazing
Andrea and her team did my bridal party of 13. She came to the venue which was super convenient. Everyone absolutely loved their makeup and loved Andrea. The girls were so nice, accommodating, and quick. Also, the makeup stayed on all night and did not smudge or streak when we cried or sweat.
We absolutely love her and her team and definitely recommend her for your next wedding! -

Andrea is such a personable and accommodating hair and make up artist - she truly goes above and beyond. Leading up the wedding she was able to set up a trial for me, utilize a last minute hair piece I bought, recommended a spectacular lip gloss for the day of, and was able to redo my schedule because of so many changes. I was a bit of a needy bride, Andrea was so patient with me and I never felt like I was bothering her despite how busy she is.
On my wedding day, we had 11 adult hair & make up, 1 youth, and 2 flower girls. The timing went flawlessly without any hiccups or delays. Her team was professional, but still so fun and sweet! Every person loved their hair and make up. I have coarse, thicker hair and I was worried it would not stay in an updo, however, my hair AND make up lasted from 12PM to 11PM! I felt so beautiful on my special day and my hair & make up turned out better than I could have expected.
I highly recommend Unique & Flawless/ Andrea & her team. You will not regret hiring her for your hair and make up needs! -

I’m an older bride (63) and feel so lucky to have found Andrea to make me look and feel beautiful! She uses many different makeup products and since she is an expert, she knows which ones work best for a variety of people. Andrea is incredibly talented and her Instagram is full of very happy clients. Plus, she is so sweet and personable! We had such a good time together at both my trial and my wedding day. No wonder customers keep bringing her back for all their special occasions! -

Andrea and her makeup artist were amazing! We got married on 9/9/2022 and had 12 people getting hair and makeup done. Everyone looked beautiful and they made sure that everyone was happy with their look. 100% recommend! You can tell they love their job and will keep you at ease on your wedding day! -

The BEST hair and makeup artist I’ve ever had!
Andrea was absolutely incredible! I was very stressed leading up to my wedding reception, but she eased all of my worries. I showed her a photo of a look she did with one of her previous clients from her Instagram page and not only did she do exactly what I wanted, but it turned out better than expected. I wanted a low bun hairstyle and soft glam/natural look (ill attach a photo). She made me feel so beautiful! I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn’t believe how much volume and curls she did with me super straight flat hair. We also had a great conversation and I felt like I was laughing and smiling the whole time! 100/10!! -

Andrea did hair and makeup for me and a mix of hair and/or makeup for 3 of my bridesmaids (since some wanted to do either their hair or their makeup themselves). Andrea was incredible! She brought a director's chair and all her supplies. She was on time, never felt rushed, and we all felt so relaxed and cared for by her. Her skill with both hair and makeup was perfection. Just look at her Instagram account for evidence! I scheduled my hair and makeup trial with her, but she had an emergency come up and wasn't able to keep the appointment. But, because of that she offered to do it for free the following week! She's flexible and positive. I did have to check in with her a few days before the wedding to nail down the schedule for the morning of. She manages a team of other artists, so she wasn't sure if she would do everyone herself or if she would bring another team member for the bridesmaids. In the end, she did all of us herself. It made for an early morning for a couple of the bridesmaids, but the result was WONDERFUL! I was on the fence about whether I wanted to pay for hair and makeup, and in the end I am so glad I spent the money on it! I highly recommend Andrea if she's available. -

We (my family, my brother and his Girlfriend), flew to San Diego at the end of October from Alaska for my sons wedding on Nov 7th 2021. I had very low hopes of finding someone in San Diego to do our hair and makeup for a wedding that was under a week away because of the very short notice and because I didn’t have any luck finding anyone up to that point. But thankfully I got a referral to Unique And Flawless (Andrea) by another trusted hairstylist/makeup artist. I contacted her and anticipated that they wouldn’t be able to get a few of us in. And to my amazement, she had openings on Sunday for us!! She scheduled 2 appointments of us for that day with a wonderful artist, Terry, in time for the wedding of my son and his new bride. I had her go to Lemon Grove where my brother and his girlfriend had an Airbnb because that location was closer to the church of where the wedding was going to take place. Well, I didn’t realize the distance from Oceanside to Lemon Grove and I miscalculated the time horribly. Thankfully my brother’s girlfriend was there and she was able to be the first to get ready. Terry did a remarkable job and she was very accommodating and because of that, I was able to surprise my daughter with a beautifying session as well 🥰. Thank you Andrea for sending us Terry! Thank you for making this a very wonderful experience us 3 ladies.

I met Andrea back in March 2018 for my sister's wedding where I was the maid of honor. My sister had her trial make-up with Andrea and we all loved the look so I asked my sister if Andrea can squeeze me in for my hair and make-up as well, of course she said yes! She did a great job doing my make-up! I don't apply make-up on a daily basis so I searched for a look that I wanted online and showed it to her. She always asks if you want the same level of shade or lighter as the one on the picture, she can make the adjustments for you. Her make-up lasts a really long time and they don't smudge if you cry on a wedding. Her work looks great not only in person but in pictures too! I recently attended a wedding again and I was one of the bridesmaids and everybody said that I looked stunning! Andrea also does a stellar job on hair! Just show her the style you want and give her the headpiece you want to use then she will do her magic! I always feel and look like a goddess every time she does my hair and make-up! That's why she is my go to make-up artist! -

Unique and Flawless absolutely exceeded my hopes and expectations!
I got married last Sunday and four days before my wedding my HMUA flaked out on me, I went in to panic mode. Got online and started reading reviews and looking at before and after photos. Unique and Flawless stood out because of how many amazing reviews Andrea had and more importantly her photos showed her talent. I'm an older bride, 45 and then some lol, so I need more help than the 24 year old naturally gorgeous bride with already flawless skin haha. I messaged her for a long shot that she'd even be available on such short notice and she called me within 20 minutes.
We talked for a few minutes and all of that panic dissipated, she's the kindest and hardest working woman and she assured me that even though she had three other commitments that weekend she would make it happen because every bride deserves to feel beautiful on her wedding day and does not need any extra stress, so I booked her then and there without a trial.
Her and Terri showed up early and set up in our bridal salon and got to work. It's incredible how quickly they work and the magic they do! They started with my bridesmaids and then got to me last so my makeup and hair was as fresh as it could be before the ceremony. It wasn't super hot but it was definitely warm out. I was worried about looking old in the sun and my makeup sweating off, but it didn't. Even after all my crying it stayed put beautifully! My hair looked so pretty and my girls all looked amazing too! Andrea even did my MIL's makeup and she looked stunning. Gotta love that airbrush makeup, it did wonders for all of us!
I didn't realize how important having a PROFESSIONAL HMUA was until it was almost too late. I couldn't fathom spending the money for someone else to do my makeup but paid big bucks for a photographer when it dawned on me, what if I look all sweaty and blotchy in all of my wedding photos lol can't have that! I learned a valuable lesson, when it's your big day, feeling beautiful makes you shine the whole day and night through and that is PRICELESS!!!
Andrea doesn't even charge as much as some others and I'm so grateful I chose her because she's an absolute professional and loves what she does and it shows in her personality and her work. I promise you will be happy with Andrea and her team, if you're not then maybe you're not a reasonable person lol. One of her reviews that got me was a bride saying how sad she was to take her make up off at the end of the night because of how beautiful she felt and I totally understood that the night of my wedding too. It's magical how she transforms you into the perfect you, not caked on over the top dramatic you, but the natural as can be with a tad of glamorous perfect for your wedding day you!
When my husband saw me for the first time he cried and that was sexy as hell to me. If Andrea can help this old lady look stunning enough for her man to shed tears then she can do it for you too! My daughter is having Andrea do her hair and makeup for her Grad pictures next month because she was so happy with how she looked for the wedding. My MIL said it was the most beautiful she's ever
looked. My whole wedding party was happy with their hair and makeup and we can't thank Andrea and Terri enough!! If you're reading reviews to find the right HMUA for you that means you're newly engaged so CONGRATULATIONS!! Take my word for it... you will worry about so many details but the most important one is YOU, so hire Andrea and all the worries about how you will look are gone and you will shine like the precious gem you are. Best investment you will make!
p.s. I hated the thought of my before photo going up on her site but I realized it was her before and after photos that sold me, so please forgive how terrible I look haha, thankfully she helped to polish me up. -

Andrea's work is incredible! She did all the makeup for our daughter's wedding (7 bridesmaids, the bride and me the mother of the bride) in San Diego and we could not have been more thrilled! First I have to say what a beautiful person she is -- inside and out. She is very kind and so easy to work with ... she listens to what you want before she starts and she tailors the makeup to each person's needs. Her work is really stunning! Natural yet dramatic and tasteful. As mother of the bride I was nervous getting my make up done (I've never had anyone do it before). But I could not have been happier! I got so many compliments. Everybody looked amazing and our daughter (the bride's) makeup was stunning. The makeup lasted all day without touch ups which was really nice. I would definitely hire her again for makeup. We would also use her for hair in the future (her work is beautiful) but our daughter's good friend did everyone's hair for the wedding. Great job - thank you SO much Andrea! -

Andrea was such a joy to work with. She was very easy to communicate with and was flexible on scheduling for the trial. She was so personable and made it easy to work with. All I had to do was show her pictures of ideas and she had and she made me look stunning! Immediately I knew she was the perfect fit for us! I sent her how many people needed what and she was able to build a schedule based off that info and when we needed to leave.
On the day she arrived to the house and immediately began working. She was so fast but did beautiful work! My hair has a hard time holding a curl but she got mine to stay like a dream!
If I need hair and make up again I'd use her in a heartbeat!! -

Best experience ever!
I want to start off with Andrea herself. Andrea is a beautiful woman, beautiful mother and beautiful soul.
My wedding was on 10/20/18 and I will update with pictures once I get them in.
Now for what the future brides want to hear:
Pricing: in this competitive market, unique and flawless is definitely reasonable. The quality definitely exceeds her price.
Flexibility: I changed my hair and makeup twice...and even on the day of I asked for something a little different. Andrea never once gave me a hard time. She executed flawlessly and I was so impressed.
Punctuality: Even though my venue was hard to find, and even though she got lost, Andrea was on time. She managed to finish everything on time and she even stayed longer during my photo shoot to make sure my veil was on correctly.
I highly recommend Andrea ...and also her free lancer Terry (who is beautiful and hilarious) for your wedding. Go with people you can trust. You can trust Unique and Flawless.

We were all dressed and ready for pictures before my photographers got there. Everybody that got their make up and hair done were FLAWLESS, i really really mean that. I couldn’t have been happier on my wedding day. Andrea made me feel like family since the day i met her. It was like I’ve always known her. She really went above and beyond and exceeding all my expectations. If you are looking for an amazing, out of this world hair and makeup stop here because you found it . I did my trial run with her on new years ever for a friends wedding and she did exactly the picture I had give her for both my hair and make up!!! She is the best of the best with also being quite inexpensive compared to whats out there. She is very friendly and sweet and had beautiful salon setup in her home when I did my trial run and she was able to come to me at our hotel for the day of the wedding and bring her team as well. Andrea can be a little hard to reach over email but is very responsive if you call or text her. Andrea is an amazing hair stylist! Not only did my hair look good, but so did all my bridesmaids. She worked so quickly and we even finished early which is unheard of when it comes to wedding hair. I’ve been in so many weddings and hair is never finished on time let alone early. She made sure everyone looked perfect and if she didn’t like something, she took the time to redo it until she liked it. -
