    TME's way or no way!

    We do not live in Hawaii and were only able to visit once for the site tour. Everything else was done via zoom with Caroline and the TME team. Every email I sent was responded to extremely fast and with an incredible amount of detail. I could not and would not have done it any other way than with them. Words can't describe how perfectly everything came together. I had zero stress with other vendors because Caroline took care of it. She and the day team decorated the whole place to make it look like something you can only dream of. They have tons of weddings to do but they make each and every person feel special and just as important as the next. I absolutely adore them and I want them to plan all my parties in the future!

    The Backbone of Our Wedding – We Couldn’t Have Done It Without Them

    From the moment we started working with Caroline and Kailyn, I knew we had found something special. Out of all the vendors we spoke with, they immediately stood out for their warmth, professionalism, and ability to really listen. They didn't just offer packages or timelines — they offered peace of mind.

    One of the biggest reasons we chose them was how grounded and reassuring they were. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the wedding — all the moving pieces, the DIY elements, and the inevitable unexpected problems. But Caroline and Kailyn handled everything with such calm confidence. Every hiccup that popped up? They fixed it before I even knew it was a thing. It felt like they had a sixth sense for solving problems quietly and efficiently, which allowed me to actually enjoy the planning process and, more importantly, the day itself.

    The day of the wedding was where they truly shined. They brought our vision to life down to the tiniest detail. All of our DIY decor was placed perfectly — exactly how I had imagined it (and better, honestly). I was able to be fully present, knowing they were taking care of everything behind the scenes. And when it came time for clean-up, they didn’t just disappear like many vendors do. They packed everything up with care, ensured nothing was lost or damaged, and even made sure we got our venue deposit back — something I never would’ve thought to double-check in the chaos of the night.

    If I had to sum up our experience in one sentence: Caroline and Kailyn were the calm in our chaos and the magic behind the scenes.

    Choosing to work with them was, without question, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. I truly can’t recommend them enough.

    Book with Brenda

    We booked tropical moon events for our wedding in March at Kualoa Ranch. Brenda was our coordinator and was absolutely amazing!!! we cannot recommend her enough. She made our day perfect! Our wedding was a destination wedding and we did not have to worry one bit with Brenda in charge. She has the best personality and her experience and expertise is off the charts. She is absolutely incredible and I would 1000/10 recommend her if you are booking with tropical moon events. you wont regret it!!

    The best team

    Oh I don’t know where to start. Working with Caroline from Tropical Moon Events as our day-of coordinator was the best decision we made for our wedding! From start to finish, she went above and beyond to make our wedding day truly magical. Her attention to detail, organization, and ability to remain calm under pressure were remarkable.

    We had 4 meetings before the wedding day, and each time she listened to our vision and executed it perfectly, ensuring every detail was flawless. Whether it was coordinating with vendors or handling last-minute changes, Caroline handled everything with professionalism and grace.

    On the wedding day, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Caroline managed the timeline seamlessly, allowing us to fully enjoy our special moments with family and friends. Their warmth, expertise, and genuine care made us feel like we were in the best hands possible.

    Highly Recommend

    Working with Caroline at Tropical Moon Events was an amazing experience. She went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were not only met but exceeded. We had a difficult venue to work with, however Caroline made sure to keep them in line & on track with everything. Throughout the whole process she kept in constant communication with us to make sure we felt like everything was getting done. Days after our wedding we were kinda bummed that we didn't get any physical copies from our Photo Booth, but when we opened up our bag of decor, we found that Caroline made sure to grab a physical copy of each photo that we were in. She made sure to let us know when certain vendors weren't providing what they promised & was able to find a solution. Planning a wedding in a state you're not currently in is a difficult situation, but Caroline made the process so easy. She is amazing, & we would highly recommend working with her & with Tropical Moon Events!

    Destination Wedding Made Easy

    Absolutely amazing choice for wedding planning! Our destination wedding to Hawaii was executed flawlessly. Dania and her team were spectacular and made everything special happen plus more for our special day. She was very knowledgeable, nice, professional and thorough.     One Month Coordination and Waitstaff

    Tropical Moon Events - I did the one month coordination package since I planned most of the wedding myself and just needed someone who could execute the day of. I worked with Brenda and Dania who were both really amazing to work with! Brenda compiled all my notes and met with me weekly one month before the wedding and took care of most of the vendor coordination at that time. Dania and her team were the ones on the ground running the show the day of the wedding. There were a lot of last minute details that she was able to get into the wedding and she was amazing at rolling with the punches. I am a little bit of a type A bride but she made me feel like she had a good handle on everything. At a certain point I had to just let go and let her do her job and they did everything so smoothly! However, if you are bringing some of your own decor please label the items like an inventory, there were some of my items that weren’t returned to me at the end of the night. Have a family member or someone in the wedding party double check at the end of the night!

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They Made Our Wedding Perfect and Better Than We Could Have Ever Imagined!

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Me and my wife recommend Dania and her team at Tropical Moon Events 1000%. Dania is very busy because she is really good at what she does and is constantly hustling to make sure your wedding goes exactly how you imagined without putting the stress on you. She gave us multiple recommendations, contacted vendors, found the best prices to fit our budget, is friendly, very easy to communicate with and detail oriented. We didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. If there was a hiccup along the way, she never came to us, she knew our style and what would make us happy and then she made it happen. Her and her team did the exact job that they were hired to do. If you're going to put your money in the right place for your wedding, start right here and book with Tropical Moon Events. They go above and beyond. They took the stress out of our big day, especially not living on the island and planning everything from the mainland, it meant a lot to us how perfect everything was! I hope I don't set the expectations of them too high, but it's kind of hard not to because of the job that they did.

    I highly recommend Tropical Moon Events for weddings!!

    Choosing a wedding planner is not easy and to my surprise time consuming (sometimes you have to wait weeks just to schedule a phone consultation). I highly recommend Tropical Moon Events, specifically Leila! I was looking for a wedding planner who could help us plan a small destination wedding in Oahu. I interviewed with 4 other wedding planners before choosing to work with Tropical Moon Events. We first spoke with Dania, who responded quickly and gave honest and realistic advice. She already had several wedding venues in mind from the very first phone call. I felt like we were on the same page and she understood my vision, even though it was vague and limited at the time. Check out their website and instagram as well, I found them to be extremely helpful as a visual person. Their pricing is also comparable to their competitors.

    Leila became our lead planner once we booked our venue and from our first meeting until the very end, Leila guided us every step of the way and helped us make our dream wedding come to life in a way we never could have imagined. Leila is warm, professional, meticulous, and so easy to work with. We had over 16 vendors all together and Leila never missed a single detail, not a single deadline. Everything on our wedding day went so smoothly and so beautifully, it was literally one of the best days of our lives.

    You will remember your wedding planner for the rest of your life. Leila is not your typical wedding planner, she will become your best friend and support you in every possible way to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams.

    We were initially concerned about finding the right venue and vendors we could trust. We trusted Leila 100% with her recommendations and we couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out. My now husband and I still talk about how we miss our monthly phone calls with Leila! All the vendors we worked with were honestly so wonderful and amazing.

    Tropical Moon Events will let you set your budget and your own vision. We never felt pushed in any direction. Leila listened to us and supported us to create our wedding the way we envisioned. They also use a software called aisle planner, which keeps track of all your budgets, vendors, deadlines, guest lists, and seating charts, which makes everything so much easier.

    Thank you again Leila for literally EVERYTHING! You were one of the best parts of our beautiful wedding that we will always remember

    Avery, the best coordinator you can ever ask for!

    I am so glad you were assigned to be our coordinator because your services was way more than we expected. Choosing a wedding coordinator for me was very important as I wanted someone to be able to bounce ideas, help me troubleshoot and ultimately be my best friend throughout this entire wedding journey. You did just that!!

    Avery went above and beyond to coordinate this wedding as seamless as possible, to everyone it looked perfect but behind it all, there were tons of work in place to make it look the way I envisioned my wedding to be.

    Avery was on top of it, things I was worried was absolutely diffused as she was quick with solutions and options. She was a phone call/text away whenever something on my mind pops up. My guests and family were so impressed with the way she handled everything. I love that she always provided options for me, you can tell she had high level of experience.

    Simply Amazing!

    We had the best experience with Tropical Moon Events all thanks to our amazing coordinator, Avery. We absolutely loved working with her and we couldn't have asked for a better coordinator by our side on our special day. Avery is professional, friendly, and so very helpful. She also helped us save money which we were really thankful for. She made sure we were on track with what we needed to accomplish and answered any questions/concerns we had leading up to the day. We had a last minute change with our photographer due to some health issues and she handled the situation and communicated very well and made sure I wasn't stressing two days before our wedding. I can not thank her and Kristina, her assistant, enough for making our special day turn out way better than we could have ever imagined!

    Perfection!

    Our wedding planner Avery did such an amazing job helping coordinate my wedding. Helped me with a list of vendors and documents before she took over. Understood my view of decorations I wanted and how I wanted them placed( I did my own decor). She helped adjust the timeline the day of and made our special day stress free. Definitely recommend Tropical Moon and Avery!!

    Highly recommend Tropical Moon!

    We hired Tropical Moon for planning, service and the bar. We felt that hiring a planner was absolutely necessary as we are from Las Vegas and had a destination wedding in Hawaii. Darcie was our planner and day of coordinator. She is extremely organized and recommended great vendors based on our budget and vision. The wedding planning process can be stressful, and she was there to reassure us and keep things positive. Darcie and the Tropical Moon team executed every detail of the wedding day to ensure things were perfect! We highly recommend Darcie as a planner and our wedding day turned out way better than we could have imagined! The service team and bar team were also amazing! Our guests loved the drinks! We highly recommend Tropical Moon!

    TME is family

    From the moment we met our coordinator, Lacy Wheeler, we could just feel that we would be alright. Prior to this meeting, we were very stressed and burnt out from wedding planning, however Lacy’s grounding and calming energy just took off soo much weight off our shoulders. We really appreciated the eyes for details, the timeline, the Instant responses, the positive energy throughout, the affirming feedback, and advocating for our wants. On the day-of, Lacy and her assistant were simply amazing and made sure everything went sooo smoothly. Our families appreciated them as well and valued their help so much!     Tropical Moon you rock!

    We are so happy that we chose Tropical Moon Events to assist us with our wedding coordination and Bar services. Brenda did an amazing job coordinating with us 2 months out from our wedding making sure all the little details were planned and executed. She went above and beyond a coordinators role by even replacing some of the roses in our center pieces that were wilting on the day of our wedding! I was really surprised to see her doing that for us as we arrived at our venue. I cannot forget Dania as well who we first consulted with and got the ball rolling for us early on. And also cannot forget Darcie whom we spoke to a few times leading up to the wedding regarding any other services we needed and/or problem-solving any concerns we had. The bar services were also excellent, our guests loved the drinks. And of course the wait staff made sure we had enough drinks and food at our table. All we can say is wow!     Best coordinators you can book on Oahu!

    Everyone we talked to was helpful and kind, especially our coordinator Leila. She was absolutely incredible and made our wedding day COMPLETELY stress free. Once Leila took over, we weren't bothered with one question, concern or problem that may of came up.     Tropical Moon took the stress away from planning an overseas wedding!

Planning a wedding in Hawaii without ever seeing the venue in person, and with a tight budget, was stressful but Tropical Moon made the process so much easier.     AMAZING. Tristyn is the best

    I can't say enough about how awesome Tristyn was. My only regret is not booking her sooner. As soon as she took over, all the stress of wedding planning was lifted. My favorite of all our vendors.

    Outstanding-Professional Service

    Darci helped my daughter plan her wedding at Kualoa Ranch on Sept 2nd. There would not have been a wedding without Darci. My daughter does not like to plan...but Darci made it so easy. She was responsive and organized and always a professional. We all talked about what a wonderful job she did. We also used their bar service and it was wonderful. The staff were great to work with.     Incredible top to bottom

    After interviews with several different coordinators, we found Dania for day-of-coordination package for our wedding at Kualoa Ranch. She was excellent! She honored the pre-pandemic cost posted on her website, and recommended many vendors who gave great services at an excellent price to help us stay in our budget (Star Bar, Keneke's, Akahi Productions, Elias Parker, Cake Works, Designed with Aloha, Accel Rental) She really pointed us in the right direction and probably saved us at least a thousand dollars or more! Our wedding was excellently produced, on time, and really I have no complaints at all. Hire Dania and her team, you won't be disappointed!

    Awesome experience!

    We chose Tropical Moon as our day of coordinator. Dania and her assistant Jenna were so helpful throughout the entire process and recommended some really awesome vendors for our wedding day. Things got a little hectic dealing with Covid restrictions at our venue, but Dania helped us work through all of them and made our dream wedding come true. I couldn't recommend them enough!

    Nailed it.

    I'm so grateful for Dania and her team at Tropical Moon Events, we had the most beautiful wedding at Kualoa Ranch! The 2-week planning & day of coordination service was perfect for us since I come from the event world and felt that I could handle a lot of the design and pre-production stuff. As much as I planned and organized ahead, I really leaned on Dania to pull it all together in the end. They have worked at this venue plenty, so I felt like I had a great partner in bringing the vision to life.

    Dania was very accommodating and loaned us various supplies: signage and lanterns, which was a big help so I wouldn't have to do a wasteful one time purchase or spend money renting those things. I ended up paying it forward and donating some decor to her which was a big help to me so I didn't have to ship it back home or lug it around on our honeymoon. We hired them for the bar services as well, and the staff was very friendly and professional.

    The whole day felt so smooth and that's how you know they nailed it behind the scenes. Our guests were all overwhelmed with the how awesome the day was, I'd highly recommend them!

    Delicious Cocktails & A+ Bartending Service!

    Dania, Kristen, and the rest of the Tropical Moon Events team were so wonderful throughout our whole wedding planning process. They were so patient with us when we would ask 20 questions per email! Haha. They provided us with a plethora of options for signature drinks, infused waters, and a la cart services. They also provided us with an alcohol shopping list once we gave them the final head count. We bought all of our alcohol at Costco and we were able to deliver it to TME directly!

    The day of our reception, the signature drinks WERE A HIT! We had the Lilikoi Margarita, Mango Whiskey Sour, and Tropical Bellini. Everyone enjoyed them SO MUCH. When we got all the extra alcohol back, barely any of the beer was touched and we barely had whatever of what was needed for our signature cocktails. Oh, and the infused waters were also a hit! SO REFRESHING IN THE HOT WEATHER!

    Dania and Kristen were great with answering random phone calls, too! They were so nice and friendly the day of our reception and we literally could not have chosen a better bar service! Thank you, ladies, for adding to all of the fun at our reception! HAHA

    Excellent Coordinators

    The team at Tropical Moon Events did an excellent job as day-of coordinators for my daughter's wedding at Waimea Valley, Oahu. They made sure everything was perfect, and kept the event running smoothly from beginning to end. The girls worked tirelessly, and were such fun to work with. Just delightful!     Fantastic Wedding Coordinator

    Dania is an absolutely fantastic coordinator. Her crew did an excellent job taking care of the details so my husband and I could enjoy our big day. I would recommend Tropical Moon Events to any couple, especially those planning a destination wedding. While all of the details were run by us, Dania handled communication with our vendors and made sure everyone was prepared. She created a layout for our ceremony seating and site setup, provided a timeline of events for our vendors, and kept everything running smoothly the day of along with her two assistants. Dania also has a great eye for decor and helped us put together a fairy-tale wedding based on a few inspiration photos. We loved working with her team, and would gladly recommend them to our friends.

    Magic really does exist!

    We were thrilled with our experience with Tropical Moon Events! I knew I wanted to do most of the planning myself but our venue, Sunset Ranch, required a day-of coordinator and recommended Tropical Moon Events two-week coordination package. Although I had worked out most of the details at the two-week mark, I still expected to be doing a lot of work in the lead-up to the wedding. Quite to my surprise, from the moment Andrea and Dania stepped in I really didn't have anything left to do! They coordinated with all of our vendors, created an incredibly detailed timeline, helped manage some of my expectations, and generally were just lovely to work with.

    The two weeks before our wedding we had some of the most perfect weather I have ever experienced on Oahu. Nevertheless, I was regularly checking the weather reports and knew that we would likely get rain on our wedding day. Andrea proposed some back-up options which was reassuring but I held out hope for a sunny day. When I woke up on our wedding day it was pouring rain. Throughout the day the sun would come out for an hour or so and then it would start raining again. Needless to say this was not what I needed on my wedding day! About an hour before the ceremony, I was told that we would have to have the ceremony inside the chapel instead of in the garden. I didn't realize until that point exactly how much I wanted to get married outside but I agreed to the change of plans. I really have no idea what happened in the next 45 minutes but Andrea and Dania worked some magic behind the scenes and the moment the rain paused, they had everyone out in the garden, wiping down chairs, laying out rose petals, and setting up audio (something I had previously been told wouldn't be possible with the unpredictable weather). The garden ceremony was perfectly magical and it wouldn't have happened without Andrea and Dania. They went above and beyond to pull off my dream wedding when they really could have chosen the much simpler plan to have the ceremony inside. I am so grateful to them and I guarantee you will be too!

    Dania and her team were amazing! I was so impressed with the way our wedding turned out. First of all, the big things like timing, and people and vendor placement were spot on. But what really made me appreciate her and the team were the smallest details that we briefly discussed was visible everywhere! All the little things that meant the world to me were perfectly placed and creatively designed. I am so happy I chose Dania, but I knew from the beginning she was the one.

    Tropical Moon Events was F A N T A S T I C!! We had the pleasure of having them as our bartending staff at our Sunset Ranch Wedding. We were so pleased with them throughout the whole process - prior and during our wedding. Since we bought the alcohol for our wedding (open bar) they were so kind to even go through suggestions on what to buy and quantities based on our guest count. They even drove to Hawaii Kai from the North Shore (it is a little over an hour drive) to pick up the alcohol from us and so kindly stored it for us for the wedding. It gave us one last thing to worry about and store and was so easy to do. Shoutout to Kristen who helped us do this!

    On our wedding day itself, they were awesome! Our guests even commented to us on their professionalism and how sweet they were! We didn’t even have to worry about set-up or breakdown because they did it on their own. On top of arranging everything nicely for pick-up at the end of the night, they even made us a “midnight meal” with leftovers from our reception. They also wrote a cute little note on the box sharing their well-wishes. It was so simple, yet so thoughtful and was a perfect way to cap off our night.

    We would highly recommend Tropical Moons to anyone couple considering using them for their special event! You will guaranteed get wonderful service!

    Our wedding was held May 1, 2018 at Kualoa Ranch. Tropical Moon was an amazing deal for bartending service and could not have been easier to work with. Dania assisted us in setting a drink menu and determining the right amount of alcohol for our guests. Setup and Service was truly amazing and all of our guests loved everything. You can not choose a better bar service for your event!

    Dania was extremely helpful and patient throughout the planning we process. We had to organise our special day from overseas making it just that much more challenging, however communication was always good with lots of follow ups to make sure everything was spot on. When we were stuck on decisions or ideas Dania provided plenty of guidance based on past experience and pictures to help. The day was amazing, went perfectly to plan (from transport, to ceremony, photography and reception). It was a stress free day and very memorable for all family and friends.     Dania and team were just awesome! We had a morning wedding and a brunch reception. Dania custom-designed a menu that consisted of different mimosas, bloody marias (complete with accoutrements) and micheladas - a nod to my new husband's Mexican heritage. Our rowdy crew loved the options! The icing on the cake was when the shave ice truck arrived and her crew suggested we pour tequila all over it to create an adult shave ice concoction. Seriously, Tropical Moon Events was worth every penny. Thank you, Dania and team, for everything!!

    We received so many compliments regarding Tropical Moon's services!

    I hired them for my Wedding that was located at Ke'ehi Lagoon Memorial Hall. We wanted the guests to still feel like they were attending an elegant hotel wedding, without actually being in a hotel, and Tropical Moon made that possible.

    Throughout the planning part of the wedding, Dania was accommodating, and often followed up with me, making sure they provided me with what I needed, and provided me with a very reasonable rate.

    On the day of the wedding, the staff was responsible for replenishing food and drink during cocktail hour, served dinner, continued to service tables (i.e. take away finished plates, refill waters/tea, etc.), set-up and replenished my donut bar (which also included coffee and hot water), as well as cleanup at the end of the night. The entire staff was professional, friendly and willing to help wherever they were needed. I can't thank them enough for helping me to execute the wedding of my dreams! I would definitely recommend them for any parties in which waitstaff is needed.

    We hired Dania and Tropical Moon events for our bartending and day of coordination. Both were fantastic! We hired their waitstaff as well. Dania is wonderful- due to time zones we had calls at off hours and she was very accommodating! We were also able to drop items off ahead of time due to our schedule. We scheduled multiple calls and a venue walkthrough/rehearsal. There were some day of issues due to unforeseen circumstances, and her and her team solved all of them. Dania was also great for bouncing our ideas and thoughts off of, as we had never planned a wedding before!
    Specifically related to the bartending-- she provided a shopping list and we brainstormed a few cocktails together. People loved the drinks- they were all a big hit! The waitstaff was great as well, very professional and walked all the way out to the beach to bring us drinks during our formal pictures.
    Highly recommend!

    Dania and her staff were really awesome! They showed up ready to work with a friendly attitude. They were able to quickly set up and break down, which was very important for the time constraints of our venue. She's a joy to work with, super flexible, and really listened to what we wanted. We loved her infused flavored waters and her Maui mango black tea was amazing! We would highly recommend her to everyone.

    From day 1 Dania and her team made sure that my wedding was executed with love and aloha. As a bride in Hawaii, there is nothing I wanted more! From start to finish Tropical Moon Events displayed the highest level of professionalism. Whenever I had a question, I knew that Dania was always just a phone call or text away!     Having Dania on my team while I planned my Hawaiian destination wedding was one of the best decisions I could've made from the mainland. Her aloha energy is contagious as she is always a pleasure to chat with, plus she kept me on track and at ease during the entire process coming up to the big day. Not only did we have Tropical Moon pick up and deliver all our food and wedding cake from town, they also ran our open bar. The individualized drink menu Dania crafted for us was a HIT!!!!     With the notion of having an entire wedding to plan looming large as the date approached, I was delighted after speaking with Dania. My wife and I wanted a casual yet elegant affair, mellow, but classy. Groovy, and fun. And organized. And as least stressful as possible. Basically, we wanted it all, and Dania delivered.. She stayed on top of all our vendors, food and otherwise, which when planning from NYC and trying to comprehend island time is worth its weight in gold as far as I'm concerned.

    Weekend of the big day and I was blown away by how little I had to get involved above and beyond looking good for the main event. After the first handful of questions like "Is the wine chilled," or, "Will the Ipod need a generator," and so on, I realized that we were in great hands. Dudes out there, my wife was chilled out at the wedding, all smiles, all night long - no messing around with extraneous details, no drama. There was so much planning that went into our classy-casual weekend, I can't imagine anyone handling everything with as much composure and expertise as Dania did. Thank you much Dania, you helped us make some amazing memories.

    Living far from the Islands in New York and planning a destination wedding back home was rough. Good friends of ours that were recently married convinced us that doing it yourself is cool, but suggested we give ourselves a break and hire a professional to help with the planning and day-of coordination. That was the best advice anyone could have ever suggested!

    We hired Dania Summers only a couple months before the big day. From our first phone conversation she understood what we were hoping to achieve. Her attention to details and thorough understanding of weddings in general, made it much easier for us to realize our plans, and then things really began to take shape.

    She is based out of Oahu but agreed to travel to Maui and be on hand for the weekend of our wedding. While she made the day-of run beautifully, she went above and beyond by anticipating our questions and last-minute needs, was completely organized with every last detail in check, allowing us to keep calm and focused on enjoying our family and friends. Dania worked seamlessly with all our Maui vendors, arrived early to oversee the set-up, and appeared like magic at the church through our service. Dania worked tirelessly into the evening, with the event schedule in hand, and never made it feel rushed or overly formal (per our request). The day wouldn't have been as graceful without her.

    I had the recent pleasure of working with Dania and the Tropical Moon team for my wedding. The lead-up and consultations beforehand regarding my bartending needs were thorough, thoughtful and engaging. During the actual event, Dania and her team provided excellent service and a variety of delicious and unique beverages to my guests. They certainly went above and beyond in all they did and I would highly recommend the team. The pricing was fair and competitive for the Honolulu market. If there was any other event that I needed a cocktail service for, I would be hiring Tropical Moon again!

    The best!!

    We had a traditional wedding but without many of the traditions. We did all of the research, planning and decision making ourselves up until our ceremony venue required a registered local wedding coordinator. It was fate that we met the team at Tropical Moon Events, specifically Dania and Avery. They are a preferred vendor of our venue - they should be a preferred vendor for all venues!

    When we caught up with Dania and Avery, they were immediately supportive of our atypical wedding approach and assured us they would help in any way they can. Immediately, we knew we liked them for their lovely personalities and that we picked well. Since we fell into the "mostly do it ourselves" group, we didn't work closely with the TME team until closer to our event date (it's awesome that they have tiers bc this tier worked perfectly for us in terms of cost and amount of hand holding) and let me just say, what a godsend they were. Also worth noting that they checked in throughout with reminders, milestone check points, and a wealth of information which we were very grateful for and at no point did they feel pushy nor neglectful.

    When it was time to give up on everything because we had been planning for SO long (14 months for us), when you think you've exhausted all corners of all vendors and options, when you think maybe it's easier to just cancel (haha jk), Avery came to the rescue. She provided options for areas where we were lacking, she asked all the right questions from things we didn't think about to things we have thought about but don't have decisions for. She was never pushy when we didn't have clear direction, instead she beautifully compassionately helped us navigate those uncertainties. She took over all correspondence with vendors so that we could breath. When vendors weren't sharing our vision, she fought for us behind the scenes. Avery's attention to detail and professionalism is admirable! She was with us every step of the way while she was in Hawaii and we were in Ontario, Canada. Her clear and frequent communication with us made us feel very reassured and that we were there too.

    Avery truly went above and beyond, probably even more than we know because everything ended up being perfect on our rehearsal and wedding days. Thank you for everything that you did, Avery, and to the assistants as well.

    We highly recommend Tropical Moon Events and if you do get a chance to work with Avery, have fun!

    Best decision you can make

    One of the best decisions we made was hiring Tropical Moon for our bar / service staff!

    We had our wedding at a private estate and had to bring in every vendor in from the outside. We hired Tropical Moon for our waiters, banquet captain and bar package.

    They were amazing! I am a banquet manager at a large hotel in Waikiki and have high standard for service staff. Tropical Moon's team was EXCELLENT from the signature drinks (delicious!) to set-up to service, they did it all!

    You will not regret hiring them for your event!

    If I were to summarize our experience with Tropical Moon Events (TME): “Without them we would have been a complete mess”.

    We chose the Stellar Coordination package because we had two years until our wedding and had the capacity to plan beforehand. However, living outside of Hawaii, we did not know the vendors or venues and desperately needed the experience/coordination of TME. Despite not being able to meet face-to-face and being in completely different time zones, they worked with us from the very start. It was invaluable to have them introduce us to vendors and give us guidance. This meant coming up with our vision of the wedding without seeing the venue, assembling decoration, and communicating with all vendors. Our wedding was a little more complicated in that some guest spoke only Japanese and some spoke only English, so we had to include both languages into the wedding and incorporated cultural aspects from both cultures. TME was understanding and helped us in trying to keep costs down. For full disclosure we went way over our initial budget, but that was not TME’s fault. Probably most important was the wedding coordination at the event with the assistants helping to setup/breakdown and run the whole event. Their chill, relazed nature also helped to calm our nerves throughout the process.

    Overall we were amazed by the high level of planning that TME provided, but there were of course things that might be improved for the future. In our case our assigned planner changed part way through the planning process, which did make continuity a little hard, but with a few phone calls everything was smoothed out. TME also insisted on using Aisleplanner, an online wedding planning platform. Unfortunately toward the end the whole process become a mess of google sheets/docs, dropbox folders, incomplete Aisleplanner pages, and long email strings. Even with the Stellar coordination, there is a lot of organization that is needed on the couple’s side.

    This vendor definitely provides a great value given the quality of service you get for the price. We initially hired this company for bar service at our wedding reception. The bar service was good and the drinks were fantastic. Dania was easy to work with and came through on our last minute request for waitstaff.

    Dissapointing from Start of Finish

    Dania and her team at TME came well-recommended, so I was very surprised by the lack of professionalism and attention to detail that I experienced throughout my wedding planning process and on the actual day of my wedding (12/29/19 at Waimea Valley). I hired TME for their "Stellar Coordination" package (2 months out + day of coordination) and honestly felt that working with them actually made the planning process more difficult and stressful for me.

    From not responding for over a week to my questions (wedding planning is hard enough from afar without having to track your wedding planner down repeatedly), to making multiple mistakes in vendor communication (wrong head counts/missing details), and with lackluster responses to my questions about things (the team actually asked me for MY advice on dress steaming after I took it upon myself to do the research I had asked them to help me with) - combined with a constant stream of excuses ranging from sick kids to bad traffic - I was left pretty disappointed by their subpar communication and planning assistance.

    Trying to remain optimistic (and because I'd already paid for their services) I figured where the TME team could really help out was on the day of, making sure everything ran smoothly, but I was again let down. The team was distant and aloof on our wedding day, making it awkward/difficult to communicate with them during the day. And despite being asked the day before to come up with a plan, there was no action from the team to help correct the big issue of a muddy ceremony space, and one of my bridesmaids actually had to step in to figure something out. Even though they knew our guest count 10 months prior to the event, over half of our wedding guests did not have seats for our wedding ceremony. One of the lighting elements we had paid for was not set up and TME did not notice despite it being clearly communicated/on the invoice, so our reception was not as we had imagined. We had asked for help in making sure all our invoices were paid in full prior to the wedding and on the day of, found out we had a near $3000 payment left unfulfilled. And I could go on and on!

    I am a very organized person, and in thinking about my wedding, I had initially thought I might plan it entirely on my own, but really thought hiring a professional team would take some of the pressure off me, and provide extra advice/help thinking of the little details that come with industry experience. And honestly, I think I would likely have been better off without TME. We did have a wonderful wedding, but it was more so DESPITE the TME team than because of them!

    Dania and her team were apologetic when I expressed my concerns/disappointment at the services they provided, and admitted that they were overwhelmed and maybe at capacity. So hopefully they will improve their business practices in the future. But at this point, I definitely would NOT recommend TME for any wedding or party planing events.

    Joy, I sincerely apologize for your disappointment in our services. It feels as though you were predetermined to be dissatisfied and that there was nothing I could do to deter you from that route. From the moment we met in person you had given me the cold shoulder, were distant and would not connect with me at all. There is no greater let-down than to work so diligently for someone to have it go completely unrecognized. All of the work we did such as coordinating and finalizing all details with your vendors, creating a layout to spec, a detailed timeline for all of your vendors to work from, the full day of setup, execution and cleanup have gone vacantly unappreciated. In response, I'd like to address the issues you mentioned: **Client Communication: I was punctual with our communications as we were on a texting basis. I accidentally dropped the ball on Thanksgiving weekend while driving with a full car which carried my entire family. I apologize. **Vendor Communication: As for the head count, we had it absolutely correct. I had received multiple last minute text updates of drop-outs and add-ons from you in a single morning and I sent the caterer the wrong number, which I had immediately corrected. So there was nothing wrong with your catering numbers. There were no missing details in your vendor communications as well.**Dress Steaming: When asked for advice on professional steaming for your dress we had done research and sent you information for services near the location you would be staying. You did not use them and found a different service and so I had asked you what that was. I had offered for you to use our steamers, letting you know they are not professional grade commercial steamers, but just a household kind.** Distant/Aloof on Day: I was communicating with your entire family throughout the day, doing everything we could to help, with constant check-ins at the bridal suite and making sure everyone was on track. My assistants were introduced to your family, letting them know we were all available to assist if anyone needed anything.**Muddy Ceremony: The ground was very squishy at the rehearsal and we talked about using an alternate walking path if it was still very bad. We discussed exactly how we would do it. Luckily the ground had dried up quite a bit, and in my opinion would have been ok to walk on, especially after a few more hours of drying in the sun. When your bridesmaid came down to check it out, she asked if there was something we could lay down because in her opinion it was not dry enough. I went ahead and sent my assistant to my office to grab an extra Aisle Runner I had in storage. We laid it out for your ceremony as an emergency measure, and used the alternate walking path.**Ceremony Seating: I apologize for any lack of foresight and not confirming this with you in advanced. It's very common for wedding ceremonies to have partial seating for thier guests, particularly with larger events of 150, such as yours. Most times our clients make it known that they want to have full seating if desired.**Lighting Element: This was not communicated on your invoice at all. You had written me a small note about it and I missed it. I'm sorry. This is the reason that I send all final documents to my clients for review. I sent you a copy of the production list and layout which had all design elements depicted in text and in drawing. You did not mention that I was missing anything there. I am undoubtedly human which is why it's important to me to have my clients participate in making sure I have all the details accurate for thier very special day.** Outstanding Payment: I had all your payments organized and listed them for you. I did miss a payment for your videographer because his invoice had a big stamp that said PAID on it. It was misleading and although I had been in communication with him he did not mention anything to me about it.**Excuses: I don't recall any instances of sick kids or bad traffic. I was 30 minutes early to your wedding rehearsal and wedding, and right on time to your rehearsal dinner.|| Our goal on the big day is to stay in the shadows, orchestrating you're vendors and troubleshooting problems behind the scenes while you and your guests are able to experience the "wedding magic" that happens. It's so important to us that our clients are fully present for thier day and not bogged down by the zillion details that go into making such an experience happen. You should always be a guest at your wedding, as you were. We got multiple compliments from your friends and family members that noticed what a great job we were doing to make everything run smoothly and on cue. We were there for 15 hours and worked tirelessly to ensure all went off without a hitch, including staying 45 minutes after you left cleaning up the bridal suite, taking out several loads of garbage so you would be sure to get your security deposit back. You had a perfect wedding.
