I just got married at the William Penn Inn, and let me tell you it was the BEST experience working with them. My guests cannot stop talking about it and how they have “never seen such beautiful flowers” or “that was the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding”. Darlene is the event coordinator and is a rockstar. One of my favorite people ever and she made planning a wedding in 3.5 months seem easy. Kate is the in house florist and completely exceeded my expectations with the flowers- to say she is talented is an understatement. The bouquets and tables were stunning. She is the best of the best. We had the Philadelphia station which had mini hoagies, cheesesteaks, crab fries, tasty cakes, and hot pretzels as a late night food option. I highly recommend doing this. The food was delicious and all the guests left with full bellies!!!!!! I have only positive things to say about the William Penn Inn and their staff, and I almost wish I was getting married again just so I could hang out with them some more! Do yourself a favor and get married here- you will be doing what I’m doing now and writing a review reminiscing on how perfect everything was at your wedding!!!!! -

Cathy at the William Penn Inn was excellent. Flexible, fun, professional and honest. Gorgeous venue. Delicious all inclusive features to include cocktail hour, entree, desserts, cake and open bar. Taste testing was amazing full meals. Gorgeous gardens to marry in and two venues inside for celebration (the slightly more expensive one was more than gorgeous). I did a lot of DIY with table centerpieces and little giftts and posters. They set it all up as requested. Their linen and china was beautiful. Bridal Room gorgeous with awesome snacks and champagne. Price amazing for what you get. She even boxed up the meals for the few that couldn’t make it. All we had to do was hire a DJ, Officiant and photographer which a list was provided. Perfect Wedding! -

I couldn’t recommend the WPI more for as a wedding venue. Our day was absolute perfection! From the staff to the food to the grounds, it was everything I could have dreamt of… and SO much more!! Darlene was attentive to every detail of our vision and ensured that the day would be beautiful and was it ever!!! Honestly, there is not a single thing that wasn’t amazing. The William Penn Inn was an 11 out of 10!!!! -

From the first day we walk into the door we where greeted with a warm smile. Our coordinator Darlene and Kathy took great care of us.
Our coordinator Darlene was absolutely wonderful. She help from beginning to the end it was a smooth process. The tasting was great and they pay attention to small details witch is absolutely essential to have great event. Our guests love the atmosphere and the food. From cocktail's hour to desert everything on the menu tasted real good. the staff was pleasant and courteous to work with. We absolutely recommend William Penn Inn for your next big event or special day. Thrust us you will not regret it. -

A fabulous venue for both your ceremony and reception. The gardens were beautiful for pictures. The food was spectacular and the cake was included in the price. The staff, from event coordinator to wait staff was extremely professional and helpful every step of the way. Our wedding day coordinator was amazing and really made every last detail was perfect. -

A dream come true!
Our wedding at William Penn Inn was a dream come true! We got married in September of 2023 and worked primarily with Darlene. She is such a joy and has such a kind heart! We loved working with her and she became our friend throughout the whole planning process. She answered every question we had and was quick to respond. We had a wonderful meal tasting at the restaurant a few months before the big day. Our family was treated so well and we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the special time in our life. Our rehearsal was a fun experience and we enjoyed seeing our vision come to life. We look back on our wedding day so fondly. The timeline was perfect, the food was wonderful and the decor was exactly what we envisioned. We’ve received so many compliments from our guests and it is truly a testament to how special WPI is. Darlene and team are so talented and truly put us at ease. We can’t recommend the William Penn Inn enough! 🩷 -

Cathy and Jackie were amazing to work with. Cathy helped from day 1 to the very end. Jackie helped the day of our wedding. Both were so accommodating, helpful and professional. The service from staff and food were incredible!! -

Smooth beautiful wedding venue
I highly recommend this wedding venue if you like beautiful classic historical place with great food (it have to be as they’re a restaurant) and working with very helpful and accommodating staff. Literally an one stop shop that provides with details of the wedding that you don’t need to worry about. The best part is the cost, it comes with open bar, cocktail hour, reception hall (we did the carriage ballroom), dinner, wedding cake, bridal suite, overnight stay for the couple (if available), event coordinator that guides you throughout the night, basic centerpieces (honestly the flowers were sooo pretty), table number, cute wall personalize welcome sign, table cloth and setting, indoor ceremony (provided chairs) and plenty of parking for the guest. You don’t have to do much decorations as the place itself is beautiful.
Weddings are super stressful and they made it so easy and fun for me (a bridal with an one year old). I highly recommend this place to anyone! -

Our wedding was an absolute dream…
We cannot recommend the William Penn Inn enough! Cathy was absolutely amazing, friendly, knowledgeable, and very timely with responses from the day we requested information to our wedding day a year and a half later. The staff at the WPI were willing to accommodate every single request we had without issue.
On our wedding day, the entire staff went above and beyond to make all of our wedding dreams come true. Everything went so smoothly, the set-up was picture perfect, the breakdown at the end of the night was efficient and they really made sure we felt like guests at our own wedding!
The food and desserts were delicious and guests were raving about it all night long.
We highly recommend the WPI for your wedding day - their all inclusive package makes the wedding planning process a lot less stressful - the staff are professionals and will take care of everything to make sure your day is everything you dreamed it to be! -

I cannot express enough gratitude and respect for everyone I dealt with at William Penn!! Darlene was a coordinator and was amazing helping ask alll my questions and I asked a lot lol and very responsive with everything involved with planning the wedding! She was so helpful with everything as well and just soo friendly and professional. My other gratitude goes out to Cathy who was amazing helping during the whole day! She was sooo attentive and helpful and friendly and professional and don’t wan to repeat words lol but any other word to describe outstanding! My day was amazing all thanks to the staff at William penn! The food was delicious and the open bar was a plus lol much love to all involved 🥰 thank you soo much! -

Shane and I can never thank Darlene and the rest of the William Penn Inn team enough for making our wedding day absolutely a dream come true. Our original date was for September 2020 and with the pandemic we decided to postpone. WPI was on board with the date change and completely understanding. Darlene was great to work with throughout the planning process and the crazy questions I threw at her. She even helped me through some troubleshooting with other vendors when we postponed. The day of went really well and Darlene was there bright and early with us all the way through to cleaning the bridal suite during the ceremony. Her and Ali were truly amazing and are the best at making couples feel like guests at their own wedding. All of our guests were wowed by the whole evening from the food to the service that was provided. Everyone had an amazing time!Thank you thank you thank you all! -

We just got married at the William Penn Inn on 10/22/21🥰 It was so beautiful!! Darlene and Ally did everything and anything to make this day as wonderful and beautiful for us! My husband and I chose the William Penn Inn after just one tour and a gut feeling. We loved it and new we had to have this as our venue. We are so glad we chose it because it was just spectacular! We got married outside on a beautiful day in the garden, which I recommend to everyone💕 their garden is manicured to perfection! The inside banquet halls are absolutely gorgeous with elegance! We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to say “I Do!”🥰 -

My husband and I are so thankful we chose the William Penn Inn for our wedding. They were amazing throughout the whole process, especially when we had to postpone due to COVID. Cathy was fantastic to work with during planning and was so easy to communicate with. Day of, we worked with Karen, who made sure my husband and I were taken care of the whole night.
Our wedding day seemed to run flawlessly from our end. We did not need to set up or take down anything. Everything was taken care of by the WPI. We brought our own champagne glasses and cake knife, which were engraved with our names and the WPI made sure to clean them and have them ready for us to take at the end of the night. The food was AMAZING! We have received so many compliments about the food!
Overall, the day was a dream and we could not be happier with our experience at the William Penn Inn! -

Working with Kate and the floral team at the William Penn Inn (Flower Shoppe) was such a highlight of planning my 2020 microwedding. I am so grateful my wedding planner let me know that the William Penn Inn's floral team can also handle florals for outside events not held at the inn. Kate went above and beyond what her job description requires, even meeting me at my venue to survey the space to better put together a plan and quote for our wedding. We met again in person a month before the wedding, where Kate showed me samples of what my flowers would look like, including a bouquet, centerpieces and decor. I was truly blown away by the time and effort she put in before our wedding even happened to make sure the day itself would be beautiful.
I was also impressed by the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe's competitive pricing -- I did a lot of florist research before choosing Kate and her team, and while of course, their talent won me over, price played a big role too. I found the prices to be extremely fair, and Kate was happy to work within our set budget.
When the pandemic changed our wedding plans, Kate jumped into action to create a smaller package that still helped bring my vision for the day to life. The day of the wedding Kate's team assembled our floral arch, greenery and candles flawlessly. My bouquet was beautiful, as were the flowers for other members of the bridal party.
We can't wait to work with Kate and the William Penn Inn Flower Shoppe team again next year for our vow renewal and reception. -

William Penn Inn is beautiful as always! Cathy made us feel comfortable and was very friendly and honest. Food was delicious and we loved staying there and having our special day celebrated there. Only recommendation would be to turn off the dining music in our indoor ceremony area while the ceremony was going. Other than that great venue! -
