I cannot say enough amazing things about the Wedding Experience through Carnival Cruise Lines.
We chose an embarkation day wedding on the Carnival Valor so all of our family and friends could attend, even if they were not sailing.
The wedding experience took care of everything. They made the planning portion so easy (a matter of pick and chose what you want: ceremony, reception, layouts, hows you want things to go etc) and they did the rest. We only had to do the other things on our own (dress, tux, favors, shoes, etc etc).
It was the most stress free experience I have ever had. I would not have changed a thing and it gave us the most beautiful memories possible. -

This experience was a good example of not passing judgement based on the opinion of others. Prior to planning our cruise ship wedding we were a little leery when we found out that cruise lines outsource their wedding planning to another agency. We then came across a few complaints that people had with this agency, and of course were on edge the whole time.
In the end, it turned out to be a wonderful experience with no problems. The three consultants we dealt with were all helpful. Our lead consultant Angela helped us to create all that we wanted for our wedding and it was a success! -

The Wedding Experience was great at my Carnival Cruise wedding. Raven was always very helpful and attentive to my questions and concerns in the year leading up to my wedding. Marty and Marta got all 60 of us on the ship in no time. They went over ceremony details and made sure that the immediate family was seated appropriately at the ceremony. They assisted with my guests, even helping with the handicapped, and guest flow from one venue to the next. We could not have done it without them! -

The Wedding Experience is partnered with Carnival Cruise Line Weddings. They assist you in getting your marriage license, if you do not reside in Florida (for a fee, of coarse). They also have different packages available, like for flowers or decorations if you would like little extras for the wedding and/or reception. I got married aboard the Carnival Freedom Cruise ship on October 13th, 2013. It was a 2nd wedding, so i didn't get too caught up in a lot of extra detail. My goal was to get on the ship, get married, open bar reception with yummy food, and then set sail for the best vacation ever. Everything went as planned. Honestly, every detail was already catered too. I would not recommend purchasing any of the extra's. It will completely go unnoticed. Carnival is already on top of every detail, as was the Wedding Experience. You really don't need extra's. Save your money and spend it on something you will really notice, like alcohol on board or excursions at each port or even a very nice spa treatment. You will remember that much more than extra flowers at the wedding. lol.
The wedding experience provided an officiant (a lady who conducted the ceremony) plus a planner to coordinate everything. My planner, Kristine, was completely amazing. She met us at the port prior to us boarding and walked us through every step of the process. Everything was clear, and she was really sweet and helpful. Our officiant was equally amazing. She also met us prior to boarding the ship and explained every detail of the wedding ceremony. She had us stand facing the crowd, with her back to the crowd, and the ceremony was beautiful and went right as planned. I never thought about the bride and groom having their backs to the crowd, but when she flip flopped it, it was much better for our guests.
Everything went right on schedule and turned out perfectly. I would recommend this vendor to everyone wanting a very low stress, no drama, wedding. -

The wedding was beautiful and everything was as planned. We did not have alot of extras because the cost was a bit high, but it was a beautiful ceremony. -

My officiant and wedding planner were great. The office took several days to respond to emails and I had to make corrections to my forms since they had the wrong package listed. -

I used the wedding experience for my Carnival Cruise wedding out of Tampa, FL. I have to say first, that i LOVED the officiant I was provided with for the day! She helped everything, and was far more soothing than my coordinator. My coordinator seems like a very nice person, but I was a little offended at some remarks and attitudes she gave off towards my less than traditional wedding choices, and the fact that they waited until the DAY OF THE WEDDING just 2 hours before to point out that there was a misunderstanding on the paperwork. Now, I blame the misunderstanding mostly on the office, since I wasn't working directly with my coordinator until the day of. I spoke to someone through the company about music choices, and they said if I didn't want a DJ (the lowest price option) and wanted less I could just bring a CD and it would be fine. This was NOT TRUE! you HAVE To pay for a dj just to play music! So on the day of they tell me this, and that i'll have to pay an extra couple hundred dollars for the dj just to use his equipment, even if there was no speaking or actual DJing. Luckily they were able to coordinate this last minute, so I do give them props for that, however I do not think this issue should have happened to start off with, and certainly not addressed just a couple hours before I'm to be married!
But back to my specific coordinator and not just the company - A couple times she did offend me with some unprofessional comments. Such as a strange look and "are you sure?" with some ill hidden disapproval because I was wearing converse sneakers under my dress. Um, that's my choice, not yours.... because this is my wedding, and it's the day of, so it's not like I'm going to change my mind now! She also wanted us to do toasts which we did not want, wanted us to add more readings when all we wanted was a very short and simple ceremony, and even though in my family it is proper tradition for the bride to be in the rehearsal, she refused to let me saying it's bad luck. Uhh, not in my family it aint!!! Why isn't this MY choice? So I stood there and watched awkwardly. I also did not like how rushed I was, and how rude she was about it. I fell behind schedule with my hair due to a missing hair dryer in my room (it should have been there, the cruise apologized, wasn't my fault!) and she made it very clear that she was not happy with being 3 minutes late.... Personally, I'd rather take away from my reception time than be rushed through all this and stressed out. It was highly unnecessary. I felt judged by her, and uncomfortable.
But that was the only bad points - if you look through that again you'll see it was maybe 2 hours of the whole day that were troubled by her remarks, and I do think the company itself did a fine job, and I'm sure that my coordinator was just stressed. I absolutely adored my officiant, and because of that I'm keeping my star ratings decent! I think you'll be fine using this company, just know not to cave on your beliefs and traditions, and make sure you don't mess up when it comes to the dj ;) if you dont choose dj or higher, you get NO MUSIC at ALL! even if you bring your own stuff! -

The photographer assigned to my wedding was professional and patient ill give him that but the quality of his work left much to be desired. Its a shame because we can never have the opportunity to get more pictures. As we were reviewing our photos he took we got to the story book and he spelt my husbands name wrong! I am so thankful we had our friends and family there to take a few good shots. Its breaks my heart that our picutres by the photographer were destroyed never to be seen again. As mosy couples we were on a budget and hoped to get a few good professional pictures done but didnt even get that. At $30 for an 8x10 and $10 for 5x7 i expected so much more! I wish they would have had the option to view our photos after our honeymoon but they told us its either purchase them now or never. I got married Sept 1 now it Sept 10 and I regret not purchasing one of the photos with my mom and I. So point of the story have your friends and family take pictures! Dont be disappointed! -

If I could give this company 0 stars I would!!!
I am having my wedding aboard a cruise this summer and have been working with The Wedding Experience company to plan my big day. This was supposed to be the happiest time of my life, and I was eagerly anticipating planning my wedding until I started working with The Wedding Experience company. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been extremely disappointing. I have never encountered such unprofessional and unethical behavior from a company. They have been dishonest and deceitful throughout the entire process.
Despite paying nearly $3,000 for their services, they have been unresponsive, unaccommodating, and outright rude. Given my full-time job, I asked my mother to assist by calling the company during the day to get answers to some questions I had. However, they refused to speak with her and wouldn't even take her calls, insisting on communicating with me directly. This has made the planning process incredibly stressful and difficult.
With just two weeks until my big day, I have been informed that this company has been fired from working with the cruise ships. This news has added to my anxiety and frustration, leaving me uncertain about the status of my wedding plans.
I strongly caution against engaging with this company! I am adamant about receiving a refund of my $3,000!!

Worst wedding planers ever
We are thrilled to hear that after years of bad wedding experiences, Royal and Celebrity finally dropped The Wedding Experience. This was one of the worst companies we have ever had to work with. The CEO Barbra is the worst, unresponsive and doesn't care about the guests. We got married onboard April of 2023 and the pre-cruise stuff was a total disaster. Once onboard, Celebrity took over and made everything right. Even the onboard staff wasn't happy with The Wedding Experience. Worst event planners on the planet. -

Do not under any circumstances use this vendor
I cannot express enough how awful this vendor is. If it was possible to give them 0 stars I would. Look at their average rating and the complaints and realize that is your reality. The only reason people would’ve given this service a higher review is because they clearly do not care about their wedding day.
Putting aside the inconvienence on the boat (of which there were many), this company does not communicate or do their job.
I paid for my wedding 6 months in advance and was informed that I would get my information shortly after to confirm documentation and know what would happen on-board. After 2 months of attempting to contact my pre-event coordinator by phone and email they finally answered the phone, only to accuse me of being at fault for “not calling”. When I explained my many calls and emails that went unanswered they then said it was “not a big deal since the boats dont know what they’re doing anyway”. The 5000 service we paid for is highly inflated and effectively premium for renting a (non-private) room on the boat. When I received the documentation, which was just a pre-written email with a few PDFs to select options for my ceremony (again, something I had been requesting for months) the paperwork informed me that I had to return it prior to the 60-day mark which at that point was 2 days away. The paperwork LITERALLY ASKS YOU TI PROVIDE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION NEEDED FOR YOUR CEREMONY - INCLUDING WRITING YOUR OWN SCRIPT.
For reference, we were only doing a symbolic wedding so the amount of information required from us was minimal compared to other packages, and they still could not handle it.
After this encounter I requested a manager for assistance, who turned out to be THE CEO OF THE COMPANY. Not only are they the exclusive vendor you /need/ to use Royal but it turns out that they also own about 3 or 4 other businesses that operate as exclusive vendors with Carnival, Celebrity, Etc. And those are just the ones I could find with a basic google search.
When the CEO got in contact with me it was even worse. She failed to communicate, return calls, emails, and even texts! (She gave me her direct cell and said texting would be the easiest way to contact them) She said her prior representative was supposed to send my documentation 2 months prior so she admitted they had failed to provide it on time and that “everything will be okay , do not worry about what the paper work says because we will make it right”. She did not. All she did was forward my information to the on-board coordinator who we had difficultly finding (because again, we could not get in contact to verify the information - it was wrong). The on-board coordinator just showed me all the documentation they got and it was the email I sent them months ago, without update. It even included things like “please decorate the room the last night of the cruise”. In what fucking world would I want to have my room decorated the last night? (By the way, they didn’t do it until we asked and the decorations are 2 magnets with string and a plastic sign that doesn’t stick to anything).
It is clear to me that roughly 20 years ago a group of prior cruise management employees started their wedding businesses and have a monopoly. They do not care about you, your business, and likely do not return correspondence unless their yacht gets service. You can find multiple complaints with the BBB, including some of which they had to go to court over.
Reading the comments and reviews for this business was the only relieving part because it confirms my experience. Oh, and by the way, on the boat there were 2 other wedding parties. One of them was with a veteran in a wheel chair and they got their wedding cancelled due to issues with the vendor. We had to help console our coordinator who was on the verge of tears. Oh, and even though we had opted for Royal to officiate the wedding they didn’t know they had to do that - so we had to LAST SECOND get a friend to marry us on the boat. They DO NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICES ADVERTISED.
I ended up spending about 40% of my time on the boat dealing with this vendors issues and am currently awaiting to hear back for my refund request. The on board Guest Services manager agreed we should request one, and I am currently working with their corporate office to bring awareness to the multiple issues and try to stop anyone from dealing with what we had to do.
If you have been hurt from this business I implore you to reach out to me so we can coordinate and stop anyone from feeling the level of frustration, pain, and sadness that my wife and I experienced. My review, while scathing and lengthy, only encompasses a portion of the issues I had dealing with them.

Stay away- unreliable scam compnay
I truly wish there is an option to give ZERO stars on this review. This company is honestly the worse at what they do and a bunch of ignorant lying people in the industry. It's really sad that they have a monopoly for cruise ships in this industry. Honestly, working with them is literally pulling teeth and then found out we were lied to regarding details of the wedding (flowers, cake, appointments, you name it). We wasted so much money and time dealing with this NOT SO- wedding experience.
I didn't feel like they deserve any type of review, but expressing my concern even to the owner is useless because she's usless herself. Her and her team are not repsonsive and lie through their teeth.
If you research this company through theKnot or wedding wire , these reviews don't lie. We planned our wedding 1.5 year in advance and NOTHING came through. I do not know why cruise companies continues to use this low class company to help plan weddings. -

Unethical/ shady business
Reviewed this vendor on wedding wire and Carnival. Unfortunately Carnival requires this vendor when docking in Grand Cayman for marriage license. Due to the Covid Pandemic Carnival has cancels all weddings for 2020 up until spring of 2021. Although Carnival has agreed through no fault of anyone to return all our money for our cruise and reception after changing wedding dates 2 times and several ship changes The Wedding Experience had decided not too. They decided they are sticking to there No Refund policy during a pandemic knowing they cannot marry us and we are forced to get married local. Just disgusting they will not budge and think it's ok to keep $465 of our money and cannot marry us. They said we would have to reschedule our cruise to not loose our money for 2021 or 2022. Who in their right mind is going to wait that long after already waiting and planning for 2yrs. Their is no cruise to reschedule.. and yet they refuse a refund. DO NOT PICK THIS VENDOR! -

Mrs. Pamela Crist
Our wedding was on March 22nd. 2019, we sailed on the Carnival Conquest out of Fort Lauderdale. I wouldn’t recommend a Carnival Cruise wedding to anyone. I’ve spent half of my time planning my wedding being stressed out due to the lack of communication with The Wedding Experience. The amount of paperwork is unreal. It was very complicated to fill out , and I felt there was no help from The Wedding Experience. At the time of planning I felt that is was extremely hard to get ahold of anyone. And when I did get ahold of someone I felt that I was given attitude. I felt as if I was a inconvenience to them. Which in this sense I shouldn’t of felt this way, because I have paid them specifically to help me plan a memorable wedding. My wedding wasn’t memorable due to being rushed after the ceremony it’s self. I didn’t get half of my photos I wanted. The wedding coordinator on grand Turk had made things very rushed for myself and my guest. Not only that but my cake was left behind. The only thing I can’t complain about is the ceremony site was beautiful.
While on the cruise, it was a nightmare the night before our wedding. The carnival wedding coordinator and photographer kept interrupting our last formal night dinner to go over wedding details and plans, which I felt could have been dealt with differently. It was very uncomfortable for my guest at our dinner table due to they couldn’t order their dinner until we were done discussing our plans. It was to the point where one of my guest politely asked the photographer to get with the coordinator, and be on the same page as her before they come back. Neither the coordinator or the photographer were on the same page. The photographer would come to our table with something different, and then the coordinator would come to the table with something completely different. It was truly a nightmare to where I was in tears. There was also more issues that I can go on about such as wedding licences issues, passport issues, the carnival wedding Coordinator loosing our imagination card and the grand Turk Coordinator not emailing or carnival about the situation. but I feel like I have expressed myself to the point of exhaustion. I’ve been on the phone back and forth with carnival to have them compensate me for the aggravation of this company, and all I get is a $200 shipboard credit for my future cruise. That’s it for my frustration. I feel like I should be compensated more then this due to this isn’t even 10 percent of what my husband and I paid for this awful wedding experience. Not only that but we had close to 50 people attend our wedding, which brought carnival more money. I then approached carnival about how I feel that the $200 shipboard credit is not good enough that it isn't 10 percent of what we paid for. I get a email 48 hours later that there's nothing more then can do. I feel this is horrible customer service. There’s nothing more I have to say about this company other then to the new brides out there please be smart about your decisions in using this company for your future wedding!!!!!!!!!!!! -

HORRIBLE COMPANY DO NOT WORK WITH THEM! My fiance and I decided to get married on a Celebrity Cruise to Alaska and they have been an absolute nightmare to work with. Celebrity is known as a nice, luxury cruise ship but guess what, The Wedding Experience works with ALL of the cruise ship companies, so you may be paying Celebrity pricing for a wedding but you're getting a truly (worse than) Carnival Experience. Emails are not returned, calls are not returned, prices are extremely inflated and you're basically left to plan an entire wedding on a location that you have never seen and are not sure of the rules. Nothing gets confirmed until two weeks before the wedding. I'm getting married in September and have no idea where I will be married, what kind of musician I will have, etc until two weeks before the wedding. The wedding brochure on the Celebrity Website is completed out dated which makes working with The Wedding Experience even more difficult. I was working with a woman for the past year and a half and she was fired so now I'm having to get all of the details that she already confirmed re-confirmed with the ship. All of the employees leave it up to you to come up with questions you may have. No one gives you an idea of what will happen the day of, etc. They all act like its the first wedding they've ever planned on a ship. Celebrity is really missing out on an awesome opportunity to make $$$$ from weddings! Seems like such a great idea but it really is the BIGGEST of headaches having to plan everything with absolutely no support and no confirmation of facts. -

Warning to any one considering planning their wedding with the Wedding Experience - DON'T DO IT. Their customer service is shocking, their prices are inflated, and they do not care about your wedding at all. They are not responsive to calls or emails. Furthermore, they have a bunch of provisions in their contract with rules and restrictions that will screw you over.
We attempted to plan our wedding with them, and after months of one horrible experience after the next, and after 60 of our guests have already booked the cruise, we had no choice but to cancel and plan everything from scratch on shore! We lost a bunch of time and money and it was a terrible and stressful experience that no bride and groom should ever have to go through. -

They were not professional and didn't know what they were doing. We had to take them to court after the wedding to get some of our money back for the services they didn't provided that was stated in the contract. -

I had so many issues with these people. I was doing a cruise ship wedding and they were taking care of the plans. I had to fight tooth and nail to get called back when they said they would. There was no room for any flexibility with the guest list. The lady that was supposed to be working for me ended up going on maternity leave, which I can understand, but I fell through the cracks with the other person that was supposed to pick up her work, which I can't understand or accept! I would never again use this service and I tell everyone who will listen not to use them either. Horrible people skills, communication, and not at all worth the money. -
