Melissa at The Party New York is an absolute gem of a planner and a person. She is, without exaggeration, the reason our wedding day was perfect.
We hired Melissa about eight months before our wedding date, and from our very first meeting she was incredibly organized and communicative. We had regular check-ins throughout the planning process, and as the big day approached, she increased the frequency of our meetings so that nothing ever slipped through the cracks. I genuinely did not have to lift a finger — she handled all of the planning and execution, from the big-picture vision down to the smallest logistical detail. She brainstormed with us from the start and made even our wildest ideas possible: a wedding spread across four different venues within walking distance of each other, complete with second line parades as a nod to our home in New Orleans.
Finding the right venues and vendors was where she truly proved invaluable, especially since we live out of state. I had looked into a few venues I liked before hiring Melissa, but she made sure each one was actually right for us — touring them herself and sending us pictures and videos so we could decide with confidence. When it came to vendors, she was intentional about finding people who matched our style and could handle our complex wedding day plan. That meant some of them were vendors she had never worked with before, but you would never have known it — she was so professional and built such an easy rapport with everyone that it seemed like they'd been collaborating for years. She set up every vendor meeting for us, attended each one alongside us to guide the conversation and make sure nothing was missed, and then handled all of the vendor communication and coordination from start to finish. We never had to chase down a single email or contract. As a bride, that peace of mind is priceless.
And our wedding was not a simple one to pull off. We had a non-traditional celebration spread across four venues: a private ceremony, followed by a walk to cocktail hour at a French restaurant, then a second line parade to Radegast Hall for our reception and dinner, and finally another friend-led second line to the after party at Café Balearica. Four venues, multiple processions, a hundred moving parts — and she made every single one of them seamless. She designed all four spaces herself, and each one looked absolutely incredible. Beyond the design, she orchestrated the flow between events so smoothly that our guests moved through the day effortlessly. We stayed on schedule the entire time, and everything went exactly as planned. She is a true master at coordinating complex logistics.
What really sets her apart, though, is who she is as a person. She has the friendliest, most bubbly personality — she instantly puts you at ease and makes the whole process fun. But when it's go-time, she knows exactly when to be firm and directive to keep everyone (including a wedding party full of excited friends and family) on track. That balance is rare, and it's exactly what you want in a planner.
Melissa wasn't just working behind the scenes — she was a memorable part of our day, and our guests loved her too. She made our special day everything we wanted and so much more. I truly could not have asked for a more wonderful planner. If you want your wedding to be flawless AND actually enjoy the process of planning it, hire Melissa. She's incredible. -

Lacy was super supportive in helping us plan our wedding and being on the ground with local planners. We had complex permitting from the town + working with beach permits that she helped us navigate. She also helped us source local vendors (catering, florals, raw bar) and kept us worry-free the day of. She saved us SO many back-and-forth trips along the way by being local to the Hamptons. Utilized Lacy for the full weekend from our intimate beach wedding, welcome dinner (family only) and larger ceremony and reception the next day. -

Lacy made my day beautiful and perfect!
Like everyone else, I was very overwhelmed about how to decor my wedding venue as I was preparing for the wedding in Manhattan while I was living in a different state. Lacy from the Party New York was very thorough and calm while preparing all these decorations. She was very understandable with my budget. Not only she made it work as what I've dreamt for my wedding around my budget, but also beautifully! Our communication was very clear, quick, and easy through face to face meeting, email, text and call. I was able to send her lots of photos of what I wanted.
On my wedding day, the ceremony was supposed to be held outdoor rooftop, but this windy/cold NY weather didn't allow us to have it done like we've planned. So we had to change the place to hold the ceremony. When I walked in, I was surprised with how much I liked the setting even with the last minute change. Everything was perfect.
Bouquet, boutonniere, wedding arch, and table decor... everything was perfect! She really did a good job. I don't know how many times I told her on my wedding day that I really loved the setting and she knew exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend to work with them if you are looking for someone who can assist you for your wedding thoroughly! Thanks again! -
