The Mockingbirds were the best decision we could have made for our wedding. They were so much fun and easy to work with. They were the highlight of the event. Kyle was exceptionally helpful in the planning process and assisted us every step of the way.
The event was MC’d very well and the dance floor was never empty. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how fun they were the whole night.

We truly cannot say enough amazing things about The Mockingbirds. From start to finish, they were an absolute highlight of our wedding day.
We knew we wanted a live band, but I had no idea where to start. My husband had seen The Mockingbirds a few times before and was adamant that we had to have them. He took the initiative to reach out, and thankfully they were available for our date. From the very first contact, Kyle was incredibly easy to talk to and work with. Communication was smooth and consistent—he always responded quickly to emails and answered every question we had. The band was organized, professional, and kept us on track with deadlines, making us feel completely comfortable and confident that the reception would be a blast—and they delivered beyond expectations.
Our only real request was to get people up and dancing, and that they absolutely did. The dance floor was packed all night long—guests of every age were dancing, singing, and raving about the music. Their energy, talent, and ability to read the room was incredible. They seamlessly transitioned between songs and genres and kept the momentum going the entire night. They truly made our wedding.
We’ve had countless guests tell us it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen—some have even gone on to see them perform again around Boston. If you want a fun, high-energy, unforgettable reception, The Mockingbirds are the absolute best choice. We would hire them again in a heartbeat!

The Best Wedding Band!
We wanted a party and The Mockingbirds delivered. When we were planning our wedding one of the must haves was a band. What started as genuine phone call with Kyle, to seeing them perform live in Boston, led to us booking The Mockingbirds for our wedding and we could not be happier we did. Kyle’s professionalism and experience helped us in the planning process. He listened to what we wanted and offered valuable suggestions that we didn’t think of as the wedding planning process can be daunting. Kyle played acoustics during the ceremony and cocktail and the band rocked the night away after dinner. From the their first song to the last song, the dance floor was packed all night long. They have an incredible set list and really play off the energy. It’s so fun looking back at our photos and videos and just seeing the dance floor full of our family and friends all enjoying the Mockingbirds. The next morning at breakfast people kept coming up to us telling us how great the Mockingbirds were and asking how we found them. We cannot wait to go see them play an event in Boston this fall.

If you are looking for a band for your wedding...look no further. Kyle and The Mockingbirds are insanely good. They made our wedding day so much fun and every person there could not stop staying how awesome the band was. They captured our essence through music and made so many sentimental moments happen for us. They rocked everyone's socks off and played so many of our favorite songs, including Free Bird which was ELECTRIC...just saying. They played the perfect blend of pop, rock, country, DJing songs...you name it. They were the perfect band and awesome people to work with. We cannot imagine our day without them and would highly recommend to everyone who is looking! -

We could not be happier with our decision to have the Mockingbirds perform at our weding reception! From the very beginning, Kyle (the band’s lead) was incredibly organized, responsive, and accommodating.
On the day of the wedding, the whole band was absolutely INCREDIBLE! We had a list of must-play songs, and they seamlessly wove those into a setlist that kept the dance floor packed all night long. They read the crowd perfectly and kept the momentum going from start to finish.
Since the wedding, quite a few guests have reached out to ask for the band’s name for their own weddings/events...the Mockingbirds truly made the reception. I cannot recommend them enough!!! -

“I wish I could tip everyone in the band a million dollars!!!!”
Words said by me on the way out of our wedding: And I do. When I say this band literally *made* our wedding, I am not joking. The dance floor was absolutely packed all night. Every single person I danced with said some variation of, “The band is INCREDIBLE.” We had uncles and grandparents and nieces and nephews and everyone in between out there getting down the whole night. Even our friend who is literally in a leg cast right now could not keep himself off the dance floor. If you want everyone to have the most fun at your wedding, book the Mockingbirds. Don’t even think about it.
And I’d be remiss not to mention that beyond the incredible musicianship and energy, Kyle has been the absolute easiest to work with. He is so easy to talk to, kind, helpful, and communicative. When I asked if they could learn Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen, Kyle was all about it (and don’t even get me started on their vocalist Boston who crushed that incredibly difficult song…) He even let us use his equipment so that we could perform a “first song” together instead of a first dance and was super accommodating helping us figure out the logistics of that.
If you’re still having doubts (why?), everyone at our wedding started chanting “ONE MORE SONG” at the end of the night because they couldn’t get enough. Our wedding was literally just a few days ago, but I couldn’t wait to write this review because I’m still riding the high of the best party ever. We love the Mockingbirds!!! -

All of our guests have been RAVING about The Mockingbirds since the wedding! I cannot say enough good things about them. First, they were easy to work with and organized. Kyle checked in with me a few times a year during the planning stages to go through the whole process of what they offer and what we were looking for. They have great suggestions if you're struggling to decide certain music and they know the industry well. For a high strung bride like myself who worries about everything, I didn't have one stress working with them. They can read the room incredibly well and keep the party going! Our dance floor was full the entire night. The only time it emptied out was when the band would take a 10 minute break. All of the musicians are incredibly talented and put on an amazing show. Book The Mockingbirds for your wedding and you won't regret it!! -

They were highly professional and willing to go the extra mile to make our day special by learning a few new songs for us. They were also super communicative and very accommodating to our requests (including performing at the top of a mountain for our ceremony). Riley ensured our day was special by providing wonderful dancing music and matching the room's energy throughout the night. I would highly recommend them! -

The Mockingbirds are SO GOOD!
Hiring The Mockingbirds to play at our wedding was one of the best decisions we’ve made. Beforehand, we went to live shows from a few bands in the Boston area and The Mockingbirds stood out above the rest. They are a fantastic live band and our guests are still raving about them months later. They were adaptive to inclement weather, the best communicators of all the vendors we hired, and most importantly, knew how to get everyone going on the dance floor. Even my 91-year-old grandma couldn’t help but get out there and move! If you’re on the fence about hiring them: do it. You will not regret it! -

Review written by my husband:
The Mockingbirds were easily one of the best parts of our wedding, which took place on 1/27/2024. We (bride and groom) were on the dance floor for almost the entire night with a large group of others, and we have received countless compliments from our guests on how much they loved the music/band.
As the groom, I admittedly did not have a heavy hand in most of the wedding planning. However, the one big thing that I was responsible for was the music. Given lack of other assignments, I was able to spend a good chunk of time researching different live music options for our wedding, which involved multiple phone calls and going to see various bands perform live. Here is why The Mockingbirds won our “Battle of the Bands,” in no particular order:
Set List Customization - Many bands we spoke to offered limited customization of their set lists. They had their repertoire of songs they played at most/all weddings, and would let you pick a few additional songs of your choosing. This was not the case with The Mockingbirds. They sent us a Spotify playlist of over 200 songs that they knew, and we customized almost the entire set list. The handful of songs that they played which we did not pick fit in perfectly with the vibe of the wedding and the other songs that we did pick. They even learned 2 or 3 new songs for us that we requested, which were not originally a part of their Spotify list.
Well Rounded – The Mockingbirds know songs across a wide variety of genres. For our wedding, we chose a set list that was mostly 90s/2000s pop punk (Sum 41, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, etc.) with some classic rock sprinkled in. This made our wedding reception feel almost like a rock show in many ways, which is exactly what we were looking for. All of the other bands I went to check out sounded very “wedding band-y” for lack of better term. I say this understanding that this is what some people want, and The Mockingbirds do know a bunch of those songs that you hear at most weddings, as well, if that’s what you are going for. All I am really trying to say here is that you shouldn’t feel “boxed in” at all with the Mockingbirds, no matter what genre(s) or vibe you are going for.
Pricing – The Mockingbirds were the most competitively priced of all the bands I spoke to. This made me slightly nervous at first, but after reading some reviews and seeing them live, I quickly realized this was nothing to be concerned about (and obviously a HUGE plus, with how expensive weddings are). They performed as a 3-piece at our wedding, which is their standard configuration, and it worked perfectly for our wedding of ~120 guests. Don’t listen to these other bands that try to tell you that you need a 6 or 7-piece band for your wedding. I also worked directly with Kyle, the guitarist, over the phone. I’m guessing this removes some “middle man” costs as some of these other bands have separate booking people and others they need to pay.
Accessibility/Live Shows – The Mockingbirds are regularly playing shows in Boston and elsewhere in New England which made it very easy to go and see them live beforehand. Some of these other bands we considered to play our wedding do limited “showcase” nights, and others didn’t even offer an option to see them live (I was surprised that some just told me to check out their YouTube videos).
In summary, the Mockingbirds were amazing! Do yourself a favor and book this band for your wedding. I did the research for you! -

The Mockingbirds performed at our wedding this fall and were the highlight of the night. The music was amazing as we had expected after seeing them a few times live beforehand, and they were incredible people to work with in the lead up. They were professional, communicative, flexible, and patient with us as we worked through major decisions. They even let my cousin come up to perform with them for a song - which was a total surprise. They have fans for life in us. Whether you’re looking for a wedding band or just some live music on a weekend night, we couldn’t recommend the Mockingbirds more. -

The Mockingbirds were SUCH a great decision for our day. We had a DJ booked through our venue but we really wanted live music too. The Mockingbirds worked so seamlessly with our DJ so we could have a wide variety of music. They even learned some songs we requested and did an INCREDIBLE job. Let's Go Crazy by Prince was one of my favorite moments of the entire day.
Kyle was extremely communicative and quick to respond throughout the planning process and truly a pleasure to work with. As a stressed bride who feels the pressure to do everything herself, The Mockingbirds made me feel like the music was completely taken care of from the start. That piece of mind alone is worth booking them.
Plus, our guests LOVED them. Amazing song list, great energy, and excellent guitar skills. -

The Mockingbirds were incredible. I can't imagine what a better wedding band would be like. We saw them play a gig at a bar in Boston. It was just the core 3 guys and they had everybody in the bar... People of all ages... up and dancing and having a great time. We knew they would be perfect for our wedding. We were right.
Kyle was very communicative with us in the weeks leading up to the wedding. He made sure he understood our musical preferences. The band learned a song for us even though they didn't need to learn one for our bride/groom dance. It was just a Foo Fighters song we like that was not on their repitoire. He communicated with the venue.
At the wedding they got there well in advance to set up. DJed some music for the cocktail and dinner hours and then most importantly, got everybody out on the dance floor for the entire 2 hours or so they played. And I mean everybody. They played a great mix of music for our multigenerational guests. They brought an additional singer to complement the main trio. Everyone commented to me how much they loved them and how much better they were than they band they had at their wedding or other wedding bands they had seen. These guys love what they do. That comes through loud and clear in their performance and the guests just ate it up. We were all so bummed out when it was time for it to end.
Book them. Book them now. You won't regret it. -

The Mockingbirds checked all our boxes as a wedding rock band! We were looking for a high-energy band who would appeal to our wedding guests, both young and old. The Mockingbirds offered a wide variety of music in their setlist, were open to learning new songs, and offered their services at a reasonable price.
Riley, our POC in the band, was always professional in his communication and quick to respond to us. He was also flexible when we needed to add on additional services (such as a solo instrumentalist for cocktail hour or MCing the reception).
On our big day, everyone was impressed by the talent in this band! Our guests were up and dancing the whole night (including toddlers), and the band only took one 15-minute break during the whole set.
Their performance and MC services were exactly what we wanted (and needed) for our wedding reception and we would highly recommend them to any couple looking for a rock band! These guys are awesome! -

This band was absolutely AMAZING! I wish I could give more than 5 stars and I cannot recommend them enough! They brought so much fun and energy to our reception and we had such a good time dancing . The dance floor was PACKED the whole time. My friends kept pulling me over to tell me how great they thought the band was. Working with the Mockingbirds throughout the planning process was easy and Riley was very responsive over email so I never had to stress over communication. -

They played all the songs we requested during the perfect moments, the kept the party going through the whole night, and they totally read the crowd to make sure everyone was on their feet and dancing. The Mockingbirds were absolutely fantastic for our wedding reception at a local brewery! Kyle was extremely responsive and communicative throughout the booking/planning process, and we were able to add several pieces to the band, including a female vocalist and a horn. The Mockingbirds had us covered for music from the start to finish of our event: Acoustic guitar during the cocktail hour, the whole band playing relaxed music during dinner, and then the perfect mix of pop covers during the later portion of the evening. The band kept everyone out on the dance floor with hit after hit, and many of our guests commented on how great they were! Even guests who weren't dancing were clearly enjoying the music, and the band brought amazing energy to our event--and they sounded fantastic! I would definitely recommend the Mockingbirds for a wedding, or any other party!
