The Madison Hotel❤️

We had our wedding at The Madison Hotel, using the Conservatory, and it was nothing short of magical. The space itself is absolutely beautiful, and the team went above and beyond to make our vision come to life. They even allowed me to set up my trees behind the sweetheart table, which made the room feel so personal and like Christmas 🎄❤️

Our Maitre D’, Jose, was truly exceptional — attentive, kind, and at my every beck and call throughout the entire night. He made sure everything ran smoothly and that we never had to worry about a thing.

The food selection was fantastic, with so many great options, and everything was delicious. They even added decorations to our cake for us and followed our instructions perfectly, which was such a thoughtful touch.

The entire experience felt elegant, seamless, and special. One tip: definitely pay for the uplighting — it completely transforms the space.

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Highly recommend The Madison Hotel to any couple looking for a truly unforgettable venue.

Best day ever

We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding than The Madison Hotel. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, elegant, and genuinely joyful. The hotel itself is stunning—classic, romantic, and impeccably maintained—providing a beautiful backdrop for both our ceremony and reception.

The staff went above and beyond at every step. Every request was handled with care, and nothing ever felt overlooked or rushed.

Stunning Reception in the Madison Hotel Conservatory

My wife and I had a wonderful reception at the Conservatory room at the Madison Hotel. Leading up to the event, they were very clear with communicating details and they were helpful with accommodating our requests. Our reception was beautiful and went smoothly, and our maitre’d and the staff were incredibly professional. We felt that the level of service and planning was well worth what we had paid. Madison Hotel Conservatory Stunned Our Guests and Our Day was Perfect Thanks to their Staff

We hosted our wedding reception at the Madison Hotel in the Conservatory, and it was a raging success! The calm and friendly demeanors of the catering coordinators and staff clearly reflected that they are part of running a very well-oiled wedding venue machine! Joe, Carolina, and the staff were all very in control and made us and our guests feel comfortable. The cocktail hour was lovely and absolutely overflowing with excellent food. All our guests raved about it! The fantastically beautiful Conservatory venue was curated and arranged perfectly. All in all, the Madison Hotel catering staff were gracious hosts and made the entire wedding reception planning process easy. We had a spectacularly dazzling and fun wedding!

Amazing Experience!

15/10 Tim was amazing at helping us with everything we needed. He was easy to work with and easy to contact. He made every effort to assist where he could, and to do so financially as well. We negotiated and Tim was very supportive and never made us feel uncomfortable! The food was great, the space was fantastic, as far as all of that goes, absolutely ZERO complaints. My guests had a blast and couldn't get over the beauty and fun of the venue!

Wonderful venue!

The Madison Hotel was the best venue. The conservatory is perhaps the most stunning room I've ever seen. It took everyone's breath away. The ballroom is a great size and really well laid out with the dance floor in the center. And a huge plus is all of the picturesque locations for wedding photos and portraits: the beautiful exterior, the oak panelled bar, the refurbished dining train cars! Plus, the convenience of having everything for the wedding weekend take place under one roof cannot be understated. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Garden Room, and our after party in GK's Red Dog Tavern, and our farewell brunch in the hotel lobby at continental breakfast. It could not be more seamless. Not only was it easy for us to have everything in one place, but our guests were so appreciative of how easy it was to be able to stay on site. The train ride from Penn Station could not be any easier either, especially for those from the city who were able to travel there and back in one day. Just a super convenient location all around! We had a great time working with Kellen Wittrien and TIm McHale in the lead up, and Joe Zimmerman as our Maitre D' on the day of. We had A LOT of changes to the cocktail hour passed hor d'oeuvres and Tim was incredibly willing to work with us, accommodating all of our requests! Joe also made sure we were well fed on the night of our wedding, bringing us cocktail hour food and packing our dinners to eat later that night. Alexa Verderame was also very helpful with the Room Block set up.

The Madison Hotel is a true gem!

Trying to find a venue that allowed us to have an wedding that was a fusion of both cultures (American and Indian) was a massive challenge, and after looking at many venues and after 2 months we found the Madison Hotel and it felt like the right space, but a voice in our heads kept questions weather this was too good to be true. As the months rolled by and we continued to work with the Tim and the rest of the staff at the Madison hotel, we realized we were working with some of the nicest people we have ever met and their restless pursuit in ensuring our big day was special was nothing sort of inspiring. They were extremely attentive and cared for ever single detail and partnered with us in every single aspect. Weddings can be very stressful and thanks to the entire staff at the Madison Hotel, the venue and the food was something we did not have to worry about.

Coming to the venue, the Conservatory is one of the most beautiful ceremony spaces we came across, the layout of the conservatory where we had the wedding followed by the cocktail hour in the Victorian room and the reception in the ballroom are very conveniently located next to each other. The adjoining restaurants Rod’s steak house and the Red Dog Tavern make for a fantastic after party location and our guests absolutely loved it. Lastly, we had a requirement of an event space with an adjoining hotel as we had a lot of guests from out of town and the rooms at the Madison hotel was nothing short of spectacular.

The food at the cocktail hour and reception were cooked to perfection and the service was on point and ensure everyone got their food on time. The steaks and chicken were excellent but the desserts stole the thunder. The cheesecake spread was out of this world, we had assumed we were getting the plain cheese cakes but we ended up getting 4 different kinds of cheesecake and each better than the other.

We cannot believe we were so lucky to find this gem and everyone at the Madison hotel made our wedding very special.

A Perfect Night

It was such a smooth experience working with Tim and the staff at The Madison Hotel! Tim was dedicated to help us with our questions throughout the process and we really appreciated having him there to communicate with leading up to our wedding. There was a slight miscommunication regarding food tastings which we were at first nervous about but everything turned out amazing and we got got compliments all night about how great all the food was. The cake was great too, we went to Calandras for our complimentary tasting and it was so smooth and easy, and also included in the one price for the wedding which was nice. The whole experience was easy going, they know what they are doing at The Madison all you need to do is sit back and tell them what you want out of their selection of choices, perfect for a laid back couple who doesn’t want to think of every single detail on their own, awesome awesome experience. It was the most beautiful wedding we could have asked for.

The Conservatory is a one-of-a-kind NJ Venue! Dreamy and magical!

I chose The Conservatory at The Madison Hotel as the venue for my bridal shower in May 2022. This venue was one that I had on my list for a very, very long time (even before getting engaged!) so they were one of the first calls I made once I knew my date.

|| The Conservatory is a dreamy, stunning, one-of-a-kind venue in New Jersey. I had the vision for a garden tea party themed bridal shower, and The Conservatory was the perfect backdrop for this event. As soon as you walk through the doors, it feels like you’ve been transported into a scene from a movie - the sunlight, plentiful seasonal flower arrangements (all of which are included as part of the decor throughout the year), classic chandeliers, and tasteful decor make for a very elegant event.

|| We were able to work with the event staff (Amy was lovely!) to customize the floorplan, table arrangements, and other small details. We wanted a completely vegetarian menu and they were able to accommodate that happily. We also wanted to set up a desserts table with a tiered cake, and they were open to us bringing in our own desserts. We were able to go in ahead of time to decorate, and got enough time to break down afterwards as well.

|| The staff at The Madison Hotel is lovely - they made sure the food was refreshed often, coffee/tea was always flowing, and our guests had only kind things to say about all of them. The food was delicious!

|| In addition to showers, The Conservatory would also of course be a lovely venue for a dreamy ceremony and/or reception (the hotel has additional ballrooms that could work for a larger reception as well). Given how gorgeous the surroundings are, you’d only need minimal decor to bring the whole event together.

|| One tip - given how popular this venue is, they book up really quickly for showers , especially during peak months (April-June I believe), so make sure you reserve your date WELL in advance. I reached out around October for a May weekend lunch time slot, and there were already only a few options available.

|| The Conservatory at The Madison Hotel is a gem of a venue in New Jersey, and I’m so grateful to have gotten the chance to host an event there!

Exceptional

My reception was held in the conservatory space of the hotel and it was absolutely stunning. The space needed very little decore because the flowers and greenery are already there. I simply created my center pieces. Charles, the catering manager, helped us with the planning process and allowed us to make a number of menu customizations included an added meat to the carving station, another dessert station, and an additional passes plate during cocktail hour. Our Matre’ D, Joe, was also excellent day of and worked with my day of coordinator to ensure our DIY things were set up and broken down. He also had cocktail hour food brought up to our suite which allowed my husband and I to enjoy the food privately. He was friendly and so accommodating. With the wedding package we also received a free one-night stay for the night of our wedding as well as an upcoming free stay for our one-year anniversary.

The food was also incredible! Honestly I cannot say enough good things about this venue. We even had our rehearsal dinner at there attached restaurant and loved it. The price I’m adding to the review included all our guests, vendors, and menu additions.

Exceeded Expectations

We knew we wanted to get married at the Madison Hotel from the first time we stepped into their Conservatory as guests. It's a beautiful venue, and having everything on-location is so convenient. When we finally had our own wedding there this past summer, it exceeded our expectations, thanks in large part to the people we worked with. We communicated primarily with Tim throughout the planning process, and he was so patient and responsive to our many questions and requests, especially during renovations. He helped us organize a rehearsal, an after party, and a morning after breakfast, in addition to our ceremony and reception at the venue. Everyone he put us in contact with, from hotel staff for our room block to Red Dog Tavern for our after party, were equally helpful and professional. Our assigned maitre d was Charles, who made sure we had absolutely everything we needed for the wedding, from walking us through a rehearsal, to setting/cleaning up decor and making sure we always had food and drinks. Everyone at the Madison Hotel truly is a wedding expert, and we were so thankful for how easy they made things, enabling us to have the most memorable time ever.

Beautiful Venue & Wonderful Staff

We had our wedding reception and morning after brunch at The Madison Hotel. We knew from the start that this would be our wedding venue. I found the hotel through google and we booked a tour for the following week. We had visited several other venues and my husband did not like any of them. The second we stepped into the hotel that all changed. From the beautiful Victorian design to the breathtaking all glass conservatory, we fell in love with the venue. It was the first venue my husband said he actually liked. We worked with Amy for most of the planning. Amy was easy to work with and responded quickly (she does work I think Thursday-Monday’s so if you email her during her days off she does have on out of office auto response, but she gets back to you the day she’s back). She was able to guide us through the planning process and answer all my questions along the way. On wedding day my maitre’D was Kellen. Kellen was equally amazing to work with! She worked with my coordinator to make sure everything went smooth. The reception was beautiful and ran so smoothly. Kellen even made sure I got a taste of everything at cocktail hour by setting up my own private table for my husband and I to have a moment of peace to eat! All my guests highly praised the staff. They kept saying how attentive everyone was from the maitre’d to the bar staff to the waiters. All the staff were amazing and you could tell they knew exactly what to do and have perfect timing. The morning after brunch was fantastic as well! All the food was delicious for both the reception and the brunch. My guests keep saying how great everything was. I highly recommend having your reception at The Madison (and do the morning after brunch!).

Beautiful Conservatory!

The Conservatory at the Madison Hotel was our dream venue, and everything about it was perfect for our wedding day. We had our ceremony and reception in the conservatory and the victorian suite for our cocktail hour (especially grateful the Madison Hotel offered us this change last minute when the room became available!). We worked with Tim MacHale during the planning phase, and he was always responsive and accommodating. We also loved that they updated their dog policy, so our dog could be part of our wedding day! Our Maitre' D for our wedding day was Joe Zimmerman, and he was very kind and attentive, making sure we had time to eat and got us water or drinks. We didn't have to worry about a thing! Joe went above and beyond to ensure that all our items were set up where we needed them (welcome bags, signature drink signs, guest book frame, flip flops for the reception, etc.) and moved everything up to our suite at the end of the night.

The entire staff is also incredible and kind! During the day, they brought us extra full length mirrors and mini fridges when we needed them in our get-ready rooms. They turned around the rooms impressively fast, and we had many compliments on the food too. The only drawback was that due to renovations at the hotel during the wedding, there were limited bathrooms available. Besides that, we all had an amazing time, and so many guests said it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've been to!

The perfect venue for an indoor wedding

I knew from the start I wanted an indoor wedding, as the weather is the one thing you can’t control and I didn’t want to have to stress about that. My husband and I also fell in love with the idea of having the hotel on site, so the Madison Hotel was the perfect choice for us. We had our ceremony in the conservatory, our cocktail hour in the Victorian suite, and the reception in the Glynallyn Ballroom. We are so happy with our choice of venue and our day was amazing! The conservatory is such a beautiful room and already has flowers in it, so you save money on florals by not needing to decorate the space. The food is incredible and there was so much at cocktail hour that we had a lot of variety without any additional upgrades. We had a 3 course meal followed by dessert - which you get 2 of because there’s cake and an additional option that comes in the package. The venue didn’t come with a bridal attendant, but rather a maitre d who oversaw the event. We had Charles who was absolutely wonderful in making sure we had everything we needed. He brought us all the food from our cocktail hour to enjoy privately in one of the getting ready rooms and was constantly checking on us throughout the night and bringing us drinks as needed. Having the hotel on site was amazing as us and all our guests were easily able to walk back to our rooms and change into comfy clothes after the reception and hang out at the hotel bar for the after party. The venue recently underwent some construction, but luckily we were not one of the couples affected by this and were told we were the last wedding in the old ballroom. I have heard that communication about these things has not been the best, and perhaps it’s because we were not affected by it, but I had no trouble at all emailing back and forth and getting my questions answered by hotel staff. The one thing I would note is that the venue can book the conservatory for other events prior to the wedding, which leaves only about an hour-hour and a half to set up the room for the wedding and limits your ability to take pictures in there beforehand if this happens. Luckily this didn’t happen to us, but it was added stress that they would book another event so close to our wedding and we would only have 30 minutes in this beautiful space.

Amazing venue!

We loved everything about the Madison Hotel! The conservatory was absolutely stunning and we were able to have both our ceremony and reception in it. While we were planning, Tim MacHale guided us and answered all of our questions. He was always ready to jump on a call to go over everything and was very organized. The day itself ran smoothly. Our maître d' was Sharon Gomez - she was very attentive and made sure to check in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was good, she made sure everything was set up correctly and timely, and brought everything (welcome sign, card box, etc.) to our room at the end of the night which was extremely helpful. We did a first look and were able to take a bunch of pictures outside and inside the conservatory, which we really appreciated the coordination from the hotel - there was an event right before ours, so we had limited time in the conservatory, but it was available to us for about 30 minutes which was great, as our ceremony was later in the day in October and so it would have been dark afterwards. We were so happy they were able to accommodate our requests! Something we really liked was that the conservatory is very beautiful and the hotel provides some of the flower decorations, so we did not need much else for the ceremony decorations. The food was also great - many of our guests complimented it afterwards! Overall we were so happy we chose The Madison Hotel and would highly recommend it!

Perfection!

I can’t say enough about this venue! The location, the professionalism and the care and concern for our needs was exceptional. This venue has the best food which all of our guests raved about. The glass conservatory for our ceremony was beautiful! Thanks Joe and Tim for working with us and making our day so special!!!

Gorgeous and Professional

We were married in the conservatory which was absolutely gorgeous, and all the guests loved it. It made for a very unique and special experience and the lighting during the day is wonderful. They were also very accommodating when we had to postpone twice due to COVID-19. They were extremely professional and great and handling things so we didn't have to worry about anything other than being sure we were in the right place at the right time, and sent us food over during cocktail hour as well.
They have an excellent reputation in the area too, one of our guests had been to a previous wedding here and another couple had their own wedding here decades ago!

Fairytale Wedding

When my husband and I saw the Conservatory we knew we had to get married at The Madison! Charles was great and helped us to coordinate everything we needed before our big day. On the day of our wedding Carolina was our maître d’ and she was absolutely AMAZING! I was so nervous and stressed the morning of but when she arrived in the afternoon she took care of everything! I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She made sure that everything I asked for was done and in place. At the end of the night she even had all of our things in our room ready and waiting for us. If you are getting married at The Madison ask for Carolina! Our family and friends are still two months later raving about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was.

Stunning Venue, Old Time Feel - Absolutely perfect

The Madison Hotel is a beautiful venue, with an old time feel and charm. We had our ceremony and reception in the conservatory, and it was perfect. The Conservatory is so beautiful that you don’t need much décor. It is breathtaking and felt like a dream. The hotel itself is exquisite and has a unique charm that we loved. The hotel and staff were flexible and easy to work with. Amy was the manager we worked with and she was very friendly and answered all of the questions I had throughout the planning process. It was easy to drop off things and stage for the event. Our whole weekend when smoothly – and it was extremely nice having everything including overnight accommodations all in one place! Our guests loved the venue, hotel, atmosphere, and the food. There is plenty of space to get ready, and a number of places to take pictures at. We had a conference room right down the hall from the Conservatory for hair and makeup (the lighting in this room is much better than in the hotel rooms, so I highly recommend doing hair and makeup there). We had the room all day and night, so could leave our things in there until the end of the wedding, which was so convenient.
Carolina was our Maitr’D the day of, and she was awesome. She checked in on us, made sure everything ran on time, coordinated the day of with our DJ and officiant, brought us food during cocktail hour, and was a please to work with. She made sure everything was set up how we wanted, and even cleaned up and packed everything for us at the end of the wedding. Everything was brought to our hotel room for us, and she even took care of bringing my personal things (e.g. dress bag, flowers, miscellaneous items) up to our room from the getting ready space. We didn’t have to worry about a thing.
Our wedding was on a Sunday and we were the only wedding that day – so we almost had the hotel to ourselves, which was fantastic. We were there on Saturday, and noticed that it can be crowded if there are multiple weddings.
We absolutely loved the Madison Hotel, and if we had to do our wedding over again, would choose the Madison Hotel again without hesitation.

Dreamy Conservatory Wedding

When we got engaged we only bothered looking into one venue, the Conservatory at the Madison Hotel. The flowers hanging from the ceiling, the hotel grounds (which were covered in Tulips), the amazing chandeliers along with the astonishingly gorgeous glass conservatory made our wedding like something out of a dream. I would pick that room again in a heart beat!

We worked with Tim for a large majority of the planning process and he was great! Carolina was our Mater D and she checked in on us frequently and helped coordinate all the key moments with the staff on the day of.

The convenience of having guests stay in the hotel overnight was an added bonus since we didn’t need to coordinate with any shuttle service. Our first look was in the Train Cars and I can’t wait to get our pictures back from the photographer! Between the pictures of the tulips and the beautiful grounds and the actual events inside conservatory, I’m not sure I’ll have enough wall space for all my gorgeous pictures!

The best day of our lives !!

We had our wedding on March 20, 2022 at the Madison Hotel. The ceremony and reception were in the Conservatory room. The first day we saw it we knew we were getting married there. Carolina Callejas took care of us since day one. Communication on point, she made everything so easy and stressless. The day of the event ran smoothly and her team was great, they really made our day the best; unforgettable and unique, everything was as I dreamed. I would recommend her always. Location was beautiful and all our guest loved it and still talking about it. Food was great also. Highly recommend choosing the Madison hotel and its team for your wedding day.

Dream Wedding

The Madison Hotel made our dreams come true. Our ceremony and reception was held in the conservatory, it was absolutely stunning all evening. Our maitre’d Charles was incredible to work with and took care of us throughout the whole night. After our wedding, so many of our guests said how much they loved the cocktail hour and reception food. The Madison hotel provides getting ready rooms and there are so many incredible photo spots throughout the property. Having been to many wedding venues before and after getting married, the Madison Hotel experience ranks at the top among all of them. Dreams come true

The Madison made all of our wedding dreams come true! Tim was incredibly helpful with everything leading up to our special day and Joe made sure our day was PERFECT. Incredible Venue!

I don’t have enough great things to say about The Madison Hotel. Once we got to see The Madison Hotel in person, I knew it was definitely going to be our wedding venue, and we didn’t even take the time to look anywhere else. From the start, we worked with Charles, and he ended up being the maître d for our wedding too. We are so lucky we got to work with Charles because he is truly incredible at his job! He answered all of our questions along the way, always made us feel at ease, and went above and beyond the day of our wedding. He made sure everything went according to plan, and was always present and visible throughout the day. Our experience at The Madison Hotel would not have been complete without Charles. Not only were the staff and service at The Madison Hotel fantastic, the food was also delicious! Everyone kept saying how much they enjoyed their food and drinks during the cocktail hour and reception. We chose to have our ceremony and reception within The Conservatory, and that was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The room was absolutely gorgeous from day to night, and made for the absolutely best wedding photos! It also made things so easy for us, and our guests, having one venue for getting ready, wedding photos, the ceremony and reception, and hotel accommodations. I would highly recommend The Madison Hotel to anyone who needs a venue for their wedding or special event!

Top-Notch Service and All-in Experience for the best day of our lives!

Where to even begin?! The Madison Hotel was a perfect reception venue for our wedding in September 2021! The catering team had two weddings going on, the hotel was full and they have two restaurants to manage, in yet the team made us feel like we were the only people that mattered!! Working with Tim leading up to the event was so easy, he had answers within a day or so to all my questions throughout the planning process! They were super flexible with my requests (like bringing in late night Chick-fil-A for my guests!). Service is everything for these types of events and the Madison Hotel's service is OUTSTANDING! From the front desk to the catering team to the maitre d for the night, Carolina, to the team serving guests to the bartenders at the event and in the restaurants - they recognize the importance of providing the highest quality experience from start to finish. Even with everything going on at the hotel, everything came out perfectly on time as we had outlined and discussed leading up to the day including the main course; there was no dragging it out as I've seen at other venues from time to time. I did not have one question or concern going into the reception that day - I had full confidence that it was going to go off smoothly because their experience and expertise was obvious. Carolina was so great to work with. As soon as I got there, she told me everything I needed to know and what to expect. She continuously followed up with my husband and I to see if we needed anything from another drink to putting our cards/decor away in our suite. I was able to relax and enjoy the day I had been planning for over a year knowing that they were on top of every detail. In addition, the rooms were all updated, the front of the hotel made for beautiful pictures, the bars were open until to 2am with some of the kindest bartenders who wanted to make sure we had the best time to the very end and the lobby is a really great spot to sit and recap the day the next morning while enjoying the coffee/breakfast. We spent so much time reminiscing with friends and family there as we finished up. It is a one-stop spot for people who want a great party - this was important to us, we wanted a hotel with lively dining/beverage options so we can keep the party going and everyone could just crash! It worked out as well as I could have imagined. The people working there genuinely want to make sure it is the best day of your life - they were flexible with guests (ex: we had some order a bottle to go and sit outside until very late night!) and flexible with our event (ex: we went over 11pm slightly so the band could give us "one more song"). The one thing to note is that they limit the hotel block to a small number of rooms. We had a lot of people coming in from out of town so you may need another block. Fortunately, we were able to eventually get almost everyone who wanted to be there in a room. Nevertheless, I could not recommend the Madison Hotel more!!! THANK YOU!!

First class in so many ways!

We hosted our daughter's wedding here and the staff and venue exceeded our very high expectations! Planning was made easier by their expertise and personal attention. The venue itself is so beautiful, not only where the wedding is held but in many other nooks and crannies of the hotel. The food was excellent, and the service was too. Our friends raved about it. Loved having the wedding in a place where the guests could stay onsite.

Magical Venue

We had our ceremony and reception in the conservatory of the madison hotel and it was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The food was excellent, the staff was attentive, and the room was absolutely beautiful. Book this venue for your wedding!

Fantastic Wedding Venue!

The Madison Hotel was a wonderful place to get married at! Even though we needed to reschedule multiple times due to the pandemic, the venue was very professional and easy to work with on each occasion.

The catering department is full of knowledgeable workers who want you to have one of the best days of your life at your wedding. What stood out at this venue versus others that we saw was all the different unique features. We were married in the full glass conservatory which felt like a dream and couldn't have looked better on a summer day. Then on top of that, we were able to have our reception in the grand ballroom, which felt like something out of a Disney fairytale. The overall space was grand and elegant at the same time.

Outside of just the nice visuals and atmosphere, all guests were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. On our day Joe Z, the maitre d was constantly checking in with us making sure everything was up to our standards. At the end of the night, he was even nice enough to pack up many of our items and bring them up to our suite personally. If you want quality, a beautiful atmosphere, and great service, this is the place for you.

10/10 Experience!

The only venue we toured, and fell in love instantly with the conservatory. Definitely fit our theme for light and airy to a T. Working with The Madison was effortless, and their accommodations with reschedules dating back to March 2020 will never be forgotten. They put their brides first, and worked with us so closely to ensure a successful outcome. Maitre D - Joe, AMAZING. He supported us from the moment we met, to the moment the wedding was over.

The Madison Hotel was the perfect place to host our wedding weekend!

Let me tell you, these guys know what they are doing! It was THE only venue we visited and once we saw the Conservatory we knew this was it! When we had to postpone, they made the process as simple as possible. We worked with Tim throughout the planning process and he was always available to answer questions along the way. We had our rehearsal dinner at Rod's the night before which was fantastic. There was a large room for the girls to get ready in and there was always someone available for assistance. The staff and Charles, our maitre d that night, were amazing! They even packed everything up and brought it up to the bridal suite so we didn't have to worry about a thing that night. We hosted a breakfast the next day which was delicious and they even repurposed small bud vases we had from the night before and put them out as centerpieces. Their attention to detail was amazing and they really went above and beyond.

Beautiful- Vintage- Classic Venue

Great venue! Conservatory is an amazing location for a ceremony. So unbelievably beautiful! Ballroom is gorgeous and whole location is very vintage and cool. Service was great, convenient to have everything under one roof. Would very much recommend this venue!

Patricia Simmons is all you need to know about this venue. She made the whole occasion perfect. From personalizing the food card to finding us a grand balloon arch, we couldn’t have pulled it off without her. She helped us decorate, play games, and just enjoy everything instead of spring off others were having a good time. She even made us a plate and reminded us to actually eat which is easily overlooked.

Wonderful venue

Even during COVID-19, the team at the Madison put on such a beautiful winter wedding for us. The food was amazing and we had a gorgeous wedding cake. The conservatory was a beautiful room to get married and have our reception in. The flowers and chandeliers in there make it really glowy and romantic. This venue is a really amazing value compared to the prices of other venues!

My mom has to eat gluten free and our day of coordinator made sure to tell her which things she could eat, which was very nice! He also checked in plenty with me and my spouse to make sure we were getting food/drinks/ anything else we needed while guests were coming over and congratulating us. We had such a wonderful experience and a great wedding!

Amazing venue!

Thank you for this wedding experience. Me and my husband could go on and on telling you how much the guests obsessed over the venue, the food, and how safe the day went.

It obviously meant the world to us that people came to celebrate with us during this pandemic, so the day to go as it went put us so much at ease. It was a heck of a party! I would casually ask people if they had eaten and was constantly told how amazing the food was throughout the night.

Charles was superb. I feel so lucky to have had that kind of attention and service on my special day. I emailed him as well to let him know just how fantastic he was to us, our families, and guests.

Thank you for helping to navigate what most times felt impossible. I have heard horror stories from friends and colleagues about how venues had treated their clients during this pandemic. Clearly this was not the case and I will forever be grateful.

It is evident why folks rave about this venue on just about every platform. I will do the same, but wanted to personally thank you because I am still just so moved. I wish you many successful wedding seasons and a safe and happy holiday!

Saturday 19 June 2021 is available to book!

Hello! My Husband and I eloped this summer and we have made the decision that we'd rather put more money towards buying a house than continue planning our big dream wedding. It was a tough decision but we're happy with it! If you're newly engaged or know someone looking for an incredible venue that has an available Saturday in June tell them to contact Tim at The Madison Hotel and tell them Elizabeth sent you! While we ended up not actually getting married at The Madison the overall experience was wonderful and I have no regrets about originally choosing it as our venue! Tim and the whole team are fantastic and really care!

An amazing night!

I knew as soon as I set eyes on the Madison that I wanted to have my reception in the Conservatory. Working with them was so easy and I never felt like I had anything to worry about. The service truly was top notch. We received so many compliments about the food and the venue space during and after our wedding there. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience. My perfect night

Wow!!! I love the Madison Hotel! From the moment I walked in and saw the lobby (with cookies and coffee 24 hrs) I knew this was the place for my wedding. When I walked into the Conservatory I knew there was no other venue for me in the state of New Jersey. The atmosphere at night is absolutely gorgeous. It was the perfect size for my wedding only fitting 130 guests means I could keep the guest list to a more intimate level. When I saw pictures of the conservatory I told my mom this was way out of our price range but boy was I surprised that it wasn't! Carolina was my contact and "wedding planner". She took care of every last detail and treated my family like her own. She even dealt with my mental breakdown when my flowers were just not right and got on the phone with my florist and straightened everything out before my big day. The wedding day was perfect and the whole hotel helped to ensure that all of my guests had a good time. Everyone raved about the wedding and the venue. It truly felt like we were in an old school 5 star hotel. My only complaint would be that their in house baker left the hotel prior to our wedding and the outside baker did not make the cake according to the hotel's recipes. Let's just say the cake was lackluster. Considering, that is the only thing that wasn't 5 stars I would say go to the Madison Hotel now and check it out for yourself. I cannot wait for my one year anniversary because we promised each other we would go back to the hotel and enjoy our anniversary at our favorite hotel.

Amazing Wedding 1/25/20

My husband and I were married at the Madison Hotel in the Conservatory where we had the ceremony and reception. This venue was nothing short of amazing. Charles coordinated and the day of Carolina was our Maitre'D. They both made sure we were taken care of and that everything went smoothly. I can't say enough good things about our experience. The rooms were lovely, our guests were comfortable, the food was incredible. It had all the perks of a venue that does a lot of weddings but none of the "wedding factory" feel. The hotel was charming and cozy, the conservatory is magical. Our wedding day was perfect. I cannot recommend this venue enough.

Gorgeous Venue

After seeing the venue and meeting with wedding coordinator Angie we decided the same day to book the place . She was warm , friendly , and helped us with everything and anything we needed . The venue is gorgeous , the food was amazing and the staff really handled the wedding perfectly! No complaints at all !! Highly recommend the facility and make sure you ask for Angie she will go above and beyond to make sure your happy !! We actually miss talking to her on a daily basis :-) perhaps we will have to book our anniversary party through her for next New Years !!!

Gorgeous, Glamorous, Affordable

The Madison Hotel is gorgeous.. think vintage victorian. The planters and decor in the Conservatory are beautiful and set a lovely atmosphere for a wedding in any season. This venue is also priced at an affordable rate and the staff is super accommodating and friendly.

By far - The Best Wedding Ever!

Wow! We were blown away by our wedding! It surpassed our expectations. Angie coordinated with us leading up to the wedding. She was so easy to work with and readily available to answer any questions. For the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, Carolina and Luisa were superb! They both went above and beyond! Carolina consistently checked in on us to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. Exceeded Our Very Lofty Wedding Day Expectations

From start to finish, the Madison House staff was absolutely incredible. They worked with us on dates, pricing, menu, you name it... they made the process of planning a wedding so incredibly easy. Moreover, what we got for our money was incredible. Our guests have not stopped raving about how good the food was and how beautiful the rooms were. In hindsight, choosing the Madison was the best move we could have possibly made, and it was worth every penny. Cannot recommend highly enough -- the people there will take care of you every step of the way. A+, 10/10, however you want to phrase it -- this venue is the best.

A beautiful hotel for your wedding

We are so happy we chose The Madison Hotel for our wedding. We got married in October and had our cocktail hour in the conservatory and reception in the ballroom. Tim worked with us every step of the way and right after meeting with him, we knew we could trust him and the hotel to host a beautiful wedding. There are benefits to having your wedding at a venue that is “all-inclusive” and has held weddings for over 30 years, and it showed. The day of our wedding ran smoothly with no issues at all. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Joe was our maitre’d we can’t say enough nice things about him. He checked in on us often and made sure everyone was taken care of. He packed up everything for us after the wedding and sent it up to our suite. All of our guests raved about the food - from cocktail hour, to dinner, and dessert. There was another wedding the same night and honestly I didn’t even know it at the time - a guest told me the next day she saw the other bride in the hotel bathroom during my wedding and even she didn’t realize there was another wedding going on! The whole hotel is beautiful, the rooms were nice, and everyone had a great time at Rod’s bar after the wedding. You won’t regret booking The Madison Hotel for your wedding. They know what they’re doing!!!

Beautiful venue!

The conservatory is truly a magical place to get married in. The indoor greenhouse was just what we were looking for. Rain or shine, the place looks beautiful. I highly recommend working with Angie. She was very professional and easy to reach. Whenever we had any issues, she was quick to help resolve and friendly to work with.

Beyond our expectations

My husband and I had our wedding on August 17, 2019 and were blown away with the entire event. Not only does The Madison Hotel offer the convenience of being able to have everything in one place (ceremony, reception and hotel for your guests), but the quality of service and food is out of this world! We had guests come from all over the country and world and all of them said they had never been to a more incredible venue and wedding. You will not be disappointed having your wedding here! Also, this is one of the more affordable venues in the tristate area and I’ve been to weddings all over the state and the quality of this venue hasn’t compared. Carolina was our day of planner and her service was outstanding. We were taken care of and not once did I have to lift a finger or worry about a single thing. We had both our ceremony and reception in the conservatory and the way they flip the rooms between cocktail hour is mind blowing. The room photographs so well and we CANNOT wait to get our pictures back!!! THANK YOU to The Madison Hotel for an incredible day for my husband and our guests. We wish we could do this day all over again!!

Perfect in every way!

The entire team from The Madison Hotel went out of their way to make our day perfect. They guided us through the planning process and brought a sense of calm on the day of. The team is professional and handles everything--no stressful questions to the bride or groom!The venue is simply gorgeous. The Conservatory is bright, beautiful and requires little to no extra decor. The ballroom is elegant and spacious. All of our guests raved about the food and enjoyed every moment. It was the perfect location for our special day!

Amazing night in the conservatory

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the conservatory in the Madison Hotel. It’s hard to put into words how the room lights up at sunset, it truly looked magical. Tim MacHale (director of catering) was excellent, professional, and so easy to work with. He was very accommodating of all of our questions during the planning process. Joe Zimmerman (maitre’d) was so kind and very accommodating of us, ensuring that we were able to eat on our wedding night! We received many compliments from our guests on the food and desserts. We were able to have some of our entree, cake, and creme brûlée, and all were delicious. The hotel rooms were very comfortable and many of our guests stayed there after the wedding. It was very clear that Tim and his team are very experienced in planning weddings and events. I would encourage anyone planning to have their wedding in Northern NJ to look at the Conservatory at the Madison Hotel.

I love the Madison Hotel

We were married in the glass conservatory on April 27th. Out wedding was small, about 80 people, so we were able to have our ceremony and reception in the conservatory. Our wedding planner was Angie and she was amazing. All of the staff at Madison Hotel are amazing. Everyone we encountered throughout the planning process and on our wedding day were wonderful and super responsive. The venue is beautiful, the food is amazing and everyone there goes above and beyond for their guests. I could not be happier with how the wedding turned out. This was the second place we visited, once we saw the beautiful conservatory we knew this was where we had to have our wedding. It was the best day and I can’t thank Angie, our maitre’d Patty, and the rest of the team enough for putting together an amazing wedding.

Everything was beautiful

The second I saw pictures of the conservatory at the Madison Hotel, I fell in love. The more I researched, the more I realized it ticked off a lot of the boxes for what I was looking for: it had lots of greenery and was open and bright so it looked like it was outdoors while remaining indoors in case of rain, it was a hotel so guests didn't have to worry about driving or hiring an Uber after the wedding, but it wasn't a chain hotel, it had a restaurant connected to the hotel that was perfect for our rehearsal dinner, and it had a lot of different beautiful spots around the hotel for photos.

We worked with Angie during the planning process, and she was so sweet, patient, and knowledgeable the whole time, and she even found us after the wedding to say hello and congratulate us. Our maitre'd was Carolina, who stayed on stop of everything during the wedding night and made sure everything ran smoothly, which was perfect, because we were busy all night and would have forgotten everything we needed to do otherwise.

We got to see the conservatory several times during the planning stages, but we never got to see it at night until the wedding, and my husband could not stop looking around the room and commenting on how nice everything looked. We're still getting compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how incredible the food was (we didn't really get to try the cocktail hour food, but that was our fault, since we were busy saying hi to people and forgot to ask the staff to set some food aside for us), and if that's not a major vote of confidence, I'm not sure what is.

The Conservatory Room is my favorite!

Since the moment I saw the Conservatory Room online I fell in love because this is my style. I love the greenary and the openness with all the windows. Everyone loved the room and loved the food. The food was really great from cocktail hour to the reception and the cake was also very tasty! I would recommend this place to others.

The Perfect Winter Wedding

From the moment I walked into The Madison Hotel, I knew it was my dream Winter wedding reception location. I worked with Joe Z. throughout the planning process and Carolina the day of and they were absolutely fantastic. I would take friends and family to see the hotel frequently throughout the planning and Joe was always available if I had any questions. We were lucky enough to be the only event that day so we had the cocktail hour in the Conservatory and the reception in the ballroom. I love that it is a hotel wedding, without a chain hotel feel. Everything is personalized and cozy and they have multiple spaces to get the perfect wedding photos. I would highly recommend attending their seasonal wedding shows to interact with vendors and sample the different food stations and desserts. For the after party they had live music at Rod's which was also a plus. My husband and I look forward to visiting the hotel and re-living our wedding day for anniversaries to come.

Experience of your dreams

You go into planning a wedding with extremely high expectations- you want the day to be perfect for you and your guests. The Madison Hotel absolutely exceeded every one of my expectations and made our wedding day dreams come true. From the second we entered the venue, we were sold. The charm that the hotel holds is EXTREMELY hard to find in a wedding venue. In no way did the place feel like a wedding factory- from the gorgeous traditional outside, the cool train car restaurants, the stunning conservatory, our guests could not stop raving about all of the beauty of this venue. In addition to the aesthetics, the convenience factor of everything really helped make our decisions. We've all been to weddings where the rehearsal dinner is at some restaurant, followed by a twenty minute trip to a hotel, then the ceremony at a church one hour in a direction, reception in another, only to return to the random Hilton you've called home for two days. That couldn't be more opposite to the experience that the Madison Hotel provides. We checked in on a Friday for our rehearsal and our guests did not leave until Sunday after brunch. We held our dinner, getting ready, ceremony, reception, after party and brunch all at the venue. Our guests had a pool, a breakfast bar, a gym and a mile trip into downtown Morristown to keep them busy on their downtime. We could not have received more positive feedback from our guests on everything being in one place. If you are getting married at a church, there are multiple beautiful churches within the area (College of St. Elizabeth directly behind the venue has a gorgeous Catholic church). While aesthetics and convenience obviously matter, service obviously makes or breaks an event like this. I cannot say enough positive things about the services. We worked with Charles D and Joe Z on the planning and execution respectively and they both were super accommodating, responsive and did whatever they could to customize the day to make our experience exceptional. The Madison offers a really tip- to- tail package that removes alot of the guess work out of planning a wedding. They also offer really nice features like free rooms for parents of the bride and a bridal suite- simply for booking with them- no begging your guests to book their rooms so yours is free required. Although we are now done with the wedding at the Madison, they have gained a lifelong client of anniversary dinners, overnight stays and random visits to relive one of the best days of our lives. thank you!

A Dream Come True

We knew the Madison was our venue from the first time we stepped foot in it. We booked the venue a year and a half before the actual wedding and our feelings never changed about it. On the day of everything looked amazing, even with some hiccups along the day. It was just amazing to see our vision come to life. The food was amazing and the cake was great. Everyone enjoyed the food, views, stay, and environment. We will always have a special love for The Madison and the gorgeous glass room.

Highly recommend to book at the Madison!

We had our ceremony and reception in the Conservatory and all of our guests stayed at the hotel as well. We wanted to find a unique venue in our budget that was also a hotel so all of the weekend events could be at the same place. We really enjoyed working with the staff at the Madison Hotel. Elise and Angie helped us with the pre-planning meetings and answered any questions we had over email at various planning stages. From our rehearsal dinner in the train car at Rod's, to Joe and the catering staff on our wedding day, the staff was so helpful and made the experience so enjoyable. We still receive so many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed our wedding and loved the venue!

The Madison Hotel was the first and only venue that my Husband and I looked at. We fell in love right away with how beautiful the Conservatory was. Throughout the planning process we did work with different Catering Staff members, but each one knew where we were in the planning process and returned my emails and phone calls with answers to any of my questions. Joe was our maitre de the night of our wedding and was absolutely amazing! We got married in March and there was a snowstorm earlier in the week. Looking up and seeing the snow on the roof of the Conservatory was such a beautiful bonus to our amazing day. All of our items that we used for centerpieces, signs, and cars were all gathered up and sent right to our room so we did not have to worry about getting anything either that night or the next morning. The food was incredible and the wedding cake and ice cream bar were a huge hit. I 100% recommend The Madison Hotel for someone's wedding! 5 stars across the board!

Having our wedding at the The Madison Hotel made our day absolutely unforgettable. We had our ceremony and reception in the conservatory, and everything was absolutely gorgeous. We want to most heartily and gratefully thank you for the outstanding service that we received at our wedding last weekend . Patti, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely outstanding. Not one detail escaped her attention. She made herself available for every important time and question for the event . She redid my daughters bustle. Set extra passed h’or oeuvres while taking pictures during the cocktail hour. She even found batteries and a screwdriver to put together the Thanos gauntlet for the final dances !
The room was breathtaking , the food was so delicious, and the support service was outstanding.
Thank you so much for your professionalism . It was truly appreciated. It did not go unnoticed that your presence was on sight during the ceremony and setup of the reception. What an amazing day! The staff, the facility, and the atmosphere at The Madison Hotel made our wedding day amazing! We’ve already booked a room to go back and celebrate our 1st anniversary. From the moment we arrived for the rehearsal dinner Friday night to the moment we checked out Sunday, everything was perfect. The best part is being able to have every aspect under one beautiful roof. The remodeled conservatory, reception room, even the ladies room are gorgeous. They are updated while honoring the integrity of the historic building. Tim and Joe took care of us as though we were family. The people at the Madison Hotel are committed to making every event a fantasy!

We had our ceremony in the Conservatory and our reception in the Ballroom of the Madison Hotel. I fell in love with this venue the moment I saw it! I especially loved the Conservatory because it gave you that outdoor garden feel without having to worry about the weather. Also, the plants and flowers that they have in there are so beautiful, you can save money because you do not need ceremony decorations. We worked with Joe throughout the planning process and he was wonderful! He answered all of our questions and was very helpful in all aspects of planning. About a week before our wedding, we found out that Tim was going to be the maître d' for our wedding. Although Tim was not as familiar with our event plans, he did a good job and the day went smoothly. The food was great and the cake was delicious (we highly recommend the cookies and cream!). The hotel provided two large rooms on the first floor for the girls and guys to get ready in. Our photographer had fun taking pictures throughout the hotel and outside near the antique train cars. After the wedding, we had an after party at the bars in Rod's and GK's. Both bars are right next to each other, so it was easy for our guests to move back and forth to socialize. Many of our guests stayed over at the hotel, and the hotel rooms were clean, well-furnished, and very reasonably priced. We also had many guests traveling from NYC, and the train station is directly across the parking lot from the hotel. So convenient! Overall, I am so thrilled with how our wedding turned out and would highly recommend the Madison Hotel!

Wonderful hotel and spot to host an event. Joe Zimmerman was so helpful throughout the planning and made it so easy!! We stayed at the hotel as we were out of town and it was an awesome experience. We have a toddler and it was super accommodating to traveling with a little one (fridge/microwave, continental bfast, indoor pool)!! Our birthday event there was a huge success. Food was fabulous, staff was nice and helpful and everyone was so accommodating to our “special” requests. Highly recommend this hotel for any event. Oh I forgot to mention that our event was just one of many including weddings they had going on and they handled everyone so well- it was hardly noticeable that they were so busy!!! Much thanks to all the staff.

[ review posted by MOG, but written personally by the bride and groom ] We LOVED our wedding at the Madison Hotel. Every step of the way was enjoyable and highly professional. We had to do most of the coordination with the hotel long-distance, and the staff was always responsive and attentive. Most impressively The Madison Hotel Catering staff addressed our unique needs beautifully. Our guest list included a significant number of professional athletes and so we requested the chef "lighten up" our brunch menu and add lots more vegetables and healthy items. We were highly impressed with the results and our guests were delighted. The location was gorgeous and the staff did a wonderful job of quickly transforming the room with our multiple flower arrangements and gifts for each guest on each table. At every moment the staff aimed to please and the result was a magical and smooth wedding. We are beyond satisfied and happy!

The best venue you can pick for your wedding hands down. Beautiful and affordable. Every guest raved about the delicious food and how lovely the Conservatory Room was for a daytime wedding. It's a perfect venue and weatherproof (brides-to-be, you can have the beauty and natural light of a garden for your ceremony and/or reception, but none of the rain or snow worries). All of our wedding party and immediate family stayed at the hotel, we had our rehearsal dinner at the hotel's amazing steak house, we had the ceremony and reception in Conservatory Room, and we had our pictures taken on the grounds and in the train car. It's truly an all-in-one stop shop for your wedding venue needs. Staff were helpful and courteous. Having everything in one place made our special day very relaxing for our guests and allowed everyone the chance to really appreciate the love being celebrated amidst the beauty of the Conservatory Room/grounds and the abundant and delectable food being served. They also make cakes on site, everyone raved about how delicious it was. This venue made my life as a bride so much easier. I highly recommend it. We live in NYC, but it was worth crossing the river for this hidden gem!

If I could give this venue more stars, I would. This venue is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Our wedding was absolutely PERFECT because of The Madison Hotel. Our ceremony and reception were in The Conservatory--it is such a unique and stunning space--it offers such beautiful lighting and opportunities for photos and videos. The staff, especially our maitre d' Carolina, Tim MacHale (the director of catering) and Elise Munc (catering sales manager--basically the woman who coordinated it ALL for me), I owe my perfect wedding to. These people are completely devoted to the details of your day. They answer same-day to any questions/calls/emails you have, they make sure the day runs completely smoothly. I am forever indebted to them for making our wedding the most amazing and special days in our lives.

Our guests were raving about our wedding at the Madison, and how amazing it was! We worked with Tim at the Madison to coordinate our plans, and he was extremely responsive, reassuring, and professional. I was nervous about meeting our maitre'd since they assign one a few weeks before the wedding, but as soon as I met Carolina, all my nervousness about whether everything would go as planned went away. Carolina was extremely organized and professional, and so easy to talk to. The day of, she checked on me often, helped my mom bustle my dress, and made sure my husband and I had food and drink with how quickly everything went during the cocktail hour and reception. She packed up cocktail hour food for us and it was waiting for us in our suite at the end of the night, and she also made sure we got back all of our decorations and props we had given to her. I had given her a list of everything I wanted done, and all of it was executed. The entire Madison staff was so professional and accommodating, and we felt like royalty that night. We had our ceremony in the conservatory and our reception in the ballroom. I was originally concerned about the other wedding, but Tim was right when he said we would never see or interact with the other wedding. We had our after-party at Red Dog Tavern next door, which didn't need to be booked ahead of time. We loved having our wedding at the Madison because everything was in one convenient location for our guests-- our rehearsal dinner was at Rod's, we had brunch the next morning in the Victorian suite, and took all our wedding photos on the property, in the train cars and outside the front of the hotel on the lawn. Although there are multiple weddings there every weekend, the staff made us feel like our wedding was the most important one, and they really gave us their time & attention. We loved how elegant and unique the venue is. Thanks for making our wedding unforgettable :)!

I can't say enough about this venue. I knew our wedding was going to be in the conservatory the moment we set foot in it. The staff is friendly, our maitre-d Carolina was on top of everything, and Carrie made sure everything came together for us. The service was great and the food was amazing. We didnt have to worry about tracking down anything because the staff/maitre-d gathered it all up and put it in our room for us. The level of professionalism everyone has at The Madison is unmatched. The grounds are beautiful and well kept with so many lovely places for photos. We are still getting compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was. We couldnt have chosen a better venue for our perfect day!

I cannot speak well enough of this gorgeous conservatory. We had our son's wedding reception here in January 2017 and it was truly magical! The snow came down and the place felt like "winter wonderland"! The food was exceptional and filet was amazing. The cocktail hour had a ridiculous amount of food, all great. The staff, from the start with Tim to the end, with the wedding coordinator, put us at ease and worked everything out for us. They took care of every detail. I highly recommend the conservatory anytime- summer or winter, day or night, sun or rain. The key: we used candle light (from Conroy's florist) and chandelier lighting only: no colored DJ lights which made it beautiful and romantic. Everyone couldn't stop raving about the gorgeous reception!

We had our wedding at The Madison Hotel in September of this year and it was absolutely perfect. We booked this venue as soon as we saw the conservatory and they told us we could have our ceremony in that room and then the reception in the ballroom (to accommodate the number of guests we had). It was a no brainer- we were blown away by the conservatory, as were our guests on the day of the wedding. Food- amazing. Bacon wrapped scallops, lamb chops, dumplings, mashed potato bar, you name it- everyone loved it. I was even able to sit down and enjoy my (generous portion) of salmon for dinner- do brides ever get to enjoy their meal? I did! Staff- phenomenal. Throughout our planning process- we worked with three different people due to their schedules/etc. (Sarah, Elise, and Tim) All 3 of them were a pleasure to work with and each time our main contact was changed- it was seamless, as if we didn't have to explain anything to the next person, they knew all of the details. We wound up having Tim as our maitre d' the day of the wedding and he was awesome. He kept calm and made sure literally everything we asked for was executed exactly as we asked. We didn't have to worry about a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. This place has one event after the next (I'm talking corporate conferences, baby showers, weddings, and meetings all at once) in every room on the same day. We never even crossed paths with any of the other events. I don't know how this place does it, but they do it well. Some other pros- the complimentary hotel room for the bride and groom, the large room given as the "bridal suite" for hair and makeup the morning of, the many spots for great pictures, the complimentary breakfast for hotel guests, and their overall willingness to work with you on any request you have. No matter how weird or annoying you think it is- they will help you do it. I wish I could do it all over again- exactly the same!

I can't recommend this place enough.Today marked exactly 1 year since we had our wedding at The Madison Hotel. From the beginning Joe had been amazing! Very patient. He listened to our ideas and gave us the options that we could work with. The place is to die for!! My husband and I always wanted a really soft and romantic venue and this is exactly what they gave us. I was in awe when I saw the conservatory that night. The Flowers they had in there blended it very well with our wedding party so we didn't need extra. We added 2 pillars in the front and just one flower on each table. Absolutely gorgeous! Catalina was at the top of everything and made sure that everything went smooth but gorgeous that night. It was everything that I've ever wanted. I am so thankful to these wonderful people. They make this place magical!!

I can't say enough good things about The Madison Hotel. They are absolutely pros at running large, amazing banquet events. My first correspondence with Sara Maurer was prompt and professional, and the Conservatory basically sold itself when we went for a tour. When Sara retired, I was nervous as to who was taking over, but Elise Munc immediately made me feel at ease. She was so friendly and personable, and genuinely seemed to be excited to help me plan my wedding. She was so patient in answering all my questions and last minute changes.

On the day of my wedding, Elise checked to see how everything was going, and our MC, Carolina Callejas, was absolutely amazing. Elise's and Carolina's attention to detail was wonderful, which really helped because I sent a lot of specific instructions and pictures on how I wanted things set up. Elise promptly responded to emails and didn't miss a beat. My husband and I also really appreciated that they were both amenable to odd and detailed requests. Everything went perfectly the day of! Carolina kept checking on us to see if we needed anything, and even set aside food in our suite from the cocktail hour since my husband and I missed everything due to pictures. Throughout the night, Carolina moved everything to our room, so we didn't have to worry about losing anything or cleaning up. You really couldn't ask for more or find fault in their service.

One amazing thing I also wanted to mention was the Madison Hotel's sensitivity to allergies. We had one guest who was allergic to many different foods, and we were all concerned about what she would be able to eat at the wedding. I mentioned this to Carolina, and she said not to worry. The head chef came out to talk with our guest and her family, and not only did they make a special meal for her during dinner, they also made a special plate of hors d'oeuvres so she wouldn't miss out on cocktail hour.

I had my wedding here in March 2017, and it was amazing! The conservatory is stunning, you barely need decorations because it's already so pretty. The space is perfect for smaller weddings. I'd recommend it for groups of about 100 people. The staff was very helpful and accommodating during the planning process, even with some last minute changes. It was definitely in the upper end of my budget, but they include a lot of extras (table settings, cake, menus, escort cards, a suite for the night, plus two parent rooms,) which helps with the price. They did all the set up and breakdown for us as well. It's also well worth the price because of how completely charming the place is. The conservatory is so different from your typical ball room wedding, and really feels like you are bringing the outside inside, so it's great for winter weddings. The food was, according to my very picky grandmother, all excellent. I was too excited to eat much, but the creme brulee was a highlight for me. Be aware that you are not able to try all of the food choices at the bridal showcase. However, it is still worth going since there were several butler-passed hors d' ouerves which I did not like and was able to sub out for other choices for my cocktail hour. Overall, it was a big hit. I got tons of comments on how gorgeous the place was.

We had our late September wedding reception at the Madison Hotel and could not have been happier with the venue, service, and staff! We fell in love with the conservatory at first sight and even slightly scaled back our guest list in order to comfortably fit in the room (we ended up with 136). Our flowers were gorgeous next to the lush greenery of the conservatory. Neither of us are from the area, but thought the location was perfect - close to Newark for those flying in, with a train station steps away for our friends from the city. We really loved that everyone could stay at the hotel so there was no need for driving/transportation (we had our ceremony across the street). Since no one had to travel between the ceremony and reception, our guests had the perfect amount of time to check into their rooms and hang out at the hotel bars. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful! We even secured rooms for storing items prior to the wedding, getting ready in that day, and brunch the next morning. We started planning with Sara and finished with Elise and both women were attentive, responsive, and eager to help make our ideas come to life! We were able to make adjustments to the menu and timeline to add our own personal touches. I made sure to try as much of the food as possible (including the cake!) and it was all so delicious! Joe Zimmerman assisted with the final details in the days leading up to the wedding and he was more than helpful during the cocktail hour and reception. Joe made sure we had everything we needed and kept the flow of the evening moving very well. He easily and quietly took care of a small mishaps with minimal disruption. Our guests have all raved about the conservatory and the food! We truly could not have asked for a better weekend or better staff! Thank you so much to everyone!

We had a church ceremony and our reception at the Madison Hotel. I'm from the area and I always knew that I wanted my wedding reception to be in the ballroom. We chose wisely because our wedding was fantastic! Elise was our catering manager and Charles was our maitre d', and our day ran so smoothly. The food was delicious, both at cocktail hour and dinner, and everyone was on the dance floor all night! Charles made sure that I always had a glass of champagne in my hand. We continued the party at the Red Dog bar afterwards, and our guests were there until the bar was shut down, everyone was having such a good time! I've heard nothing but positive feedback from all of our guests. It was such a wonderful day. I cannot thank the staff at the Madison enough for a perfect wedding day.

My husband and I had our wedding here almost a month. ago. I sincerely have nothing bad to say. Elise is so absolutely amazing...I started communicating with her about 2 months before my wedding (the person we had prior had retired) and she responded to all my millions of emails and calls right away...and with so much detail. That's one thing I really needed as I was planning...because as it got closer I had more detailed questions and concerns, all of which she dealt with with such kindness. As soon as we checked in, the whole staff took care of everything...they went above and beyond. From the time we got ready in the bridal suite (with food and champagne) to the ceremony and reception...they were there to help with anything. The maitre'd (Joe) - is the sweetest and is so helpful. He was right there whenever I needed anything. All of my guests (especially my family) commented on how nice and helpful he was (and the waitstaff too). The food was wonderful and the conservatory looked gorgeous for both our ceremony and reception. It blew my mind how perfect it was. I just could not stop smiling that day...there is not a thing I would change. So I want to thank the Madison hotel staff for everything and for making my wedding the best weekend of our lives. We will never forget it. And we plan to go back and stay to celebrate anniversaries :)

We just had our daughter's wedding at the Madison hotel and we were so happy with our decision to have it there. The catering manager, Tim, walked us through all our options and really helped with the decision process. The wedding exceeded every one of our expectations. The Bride and Groom could not be happier how their special day turned out. Joe Z. was an exceptional maitre d' and took care of everything. The Conservatory looked especially magnificent with the autumn flowers and the hotel grounds were perfectly manicured for our outdoor pictures. The wait staff and bartenders were very professional and kept everyone happy. Unfortunately I was so busy greeting guests that I did not get to eat too much of the food that we spent so long picking out, but everyone really enjoyed it. The waffle and ice cream bar was definitely a hit as was the potato pancake station during the cocktail hour. As a friend of mine said, the room that night truly felt "magical." We could not have asked for a more beautiful ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The Conservatory at the Madison is a perfect wedding choice!!

Looking back there is nothing bad I could possibly say about The Madison. We initally booked with Sara, and we were hesitant knowing she left. This changed the second we met Elise! She was very relaxed and understanding, and listened to any question and concern that we had.

Our maitre D' was Joe Zimmerman and he was exactly what a couple needs on their wedding day. He tended to all of our needs and never looked worried. We had a guest give us a last minute worry and he handled it very quickly. The food was great and they had so many options for your cocktail hour!

The conservatory was the dream room for my wife and we could not be happier with the way the entire day turned out. Thanks to everyone!

We had our wedding reception (about 110 guests) in The Conservatory at The Madison Hotel. From the moment we stepped in to the hotel over a year before our big day and met Joe Zimmerman, we knew this was the venue for us. Everyone there is so professional and caring. Joe helped us out so much along the way. While we were sad he couldn't be with us on the big day since he was on vacation, we couldn't have been happier to have Tim MacHale manage our event that night. He was AMAZING. My husband and I never worried about one thing. It was truly a dream come true wedding - everything was perfect. Tim and his team went above and beyond without a doubt. Our guests still tell us how great the food, party and venue were - one of the top weddings we've all ever been to for sure (and happy it was mine!) :) You can't go wrong with choosing The Madison Hotel for your venue. I recommend them a million times over.

Tim and the entire staff at the Madison Hotel made the entire process so pleasurable. We were planning our wedding from HK and even with the distance, they were so accommodating and responsive.

Our Wedding took place in the Conservatory space at the hotel and it was breathtaking! Our family and friends are still talking about the room, the food and how good the cake was!

There is a huge difference in booking your venue at a hall owned by a chain hotel and a hall owned, as the Madison is, by a family business. I found that out for myself when circumstances arose that I had little control over, and against my expectations, the Madison Hotel staff accommodated my requests with the utmost professionalism. The Madison is a spectacular venue, through and through; the Conservatory is gorgeous, and looks exactly like it does in pictures. You will not regret having your wedding here!

We are back from our Honeymoon ;)......I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU again for what was a beautiful and high energy wedding. All the pieces came together even though it was a VERY HOT rocky start, lol...(our limo’s AC weren’t working on that 107 degree day so you can imagine the sweat...what a start to a wedding, lol)....but my God, you guys as a team put together a hell of an event and Anthony and I could not have been happier! So a HUGE thank you for EVERY detail....people were very impressed. They Loved Loved Loved the food, the staff, the Bartenders.....they loved the cocktail room, the main event space and those chandeliers!.....Honest to God, I don’t think I have been to a better wedding and that is not me being sueded, lol!!!! You all were truly awesome from start to finish with all the planning and then to the execution.....we felt so comfortable with you Joe...you were the Man!!!!! ;) Elise, you pulled it all together beautifully....what a great team! We are still getting remarks...could not have been done without your help, creativity, quick communication, and great personalities. You both truly made our wedding day magical and so much fun....there wasn’t a thing I could say badly...it was truly perfect from start to finish. We even got major compliments about the rooms and your restaurants. The Madison and it’s staff truly impressed our guests and we had to really emphasize how important the two of you were specifically in executing every detail.

We are so sad it is over...never will we be able to recreate such a night....but we are certainly looking forward to visiting the Madison Hotel for other special occasions and continuing to re-visit the wonderful time we had by simply going to dinner at the Madison and even staying over sometimes.

There truly are not enough wonderful things to say about The Madison! We had both the ceremony and reception in the Conservatory with roughly 100 people and it was the perfect space for that amount of guests! There were some ideas that we had that our contact person Tim McHale knew were not going to work and he was always diplomatic about letting us know that it simply was not going to work (for example, extending until 1:30am, which in all honestly, would have been ridiculous!) Tim and the Madison staff were always so extremely patient with all of the questions we had, even when we both asked you the same questions in the same time frame because we had not checked in with one another. Saturday night simply, could not have been more perfect. Every vision that we had came in to fruition. To say that Joe Zimmerman and his staff were attentive would be an understatement. They thought of such things as making sure my bouquet was placed into a vase all night, they had every item that we brought (which was no small list) boxed up and returned to the room, and managed to follow our unique schedule for the day to a T. The Madison, Joe and staff, and Tim will not have anyone that will give them a higher recommendation than ourselves.

The level of service that we received from the Madison Hotel was top notch! We worked with Tim MacHale throughout the entire process who was so helpful and so kind. He answered all our questions and spent so much time with us, upfront and after we signed the contract. Though he is the director of catering we were lucky enough to have him as our maitre d for our wedding. He was super attentive and the night went beautifully!! My husband and I just had our wedding ceremony and reception in the Conservatory and I have to say that room is absolutely gorgeous! Joe Zimmerman was our maitre d' and we could not have been more impressed with his attentiveness and his cool demeanor. He was a true professional as well as an incredibly nice person! He was awesome! As were the entire staff, so polite and professional! Our ceremony in the Conservatory was in the early evening and the light in the room was so bright and happy! Immediately everyone loved the space. Cocktail hour was outside, again a beautiful area! The food was raved about all night! Then back into the Conservatory for the reception and the way it was transformed was amazing! As the sun went down, we had different phases of light taking up the room and once the stars were out, candles were lit on the tables and our up-lighting painted the entire space....words cannot express how magical it was! Our guests could not believe how beautiful everything looked, how amazing the food was (cocktail as well as dinner and dessert). It was an absolutely exquisite wedding! I cannot think of one thing that was not done perfectly. Thank you so much to Joe and to the staff! It was a truly amazing day!

My husband and I (and really all of our guests) were BLOWN AWAY with the service provided by the Madison Hotel- Anything we needed they got for us-- after the ceremony they made sure my husband and I had a little down time to soak it all in- (much needed for me!) On the day of we had our own private waiter-- I DID EAT! We got any drinks we wanted- Yes-- though everyone told me I wouldn't eat.... the Madison made sure I ate on my wedding day hahaha- ( I definitely recommend the ice cream bar... SO GOOD) the venue was gorgeous-- the food was perfect- they just made everything SO EASY- really very little stress at any step of the way- I can honestly say I LOVED every minute of wedding planning- We had breakfast there the next day and again- the service was just amazing and really made us feel very special--

Nothing could have been better about having our wedding at the Madison Hotel. The conservatory was the prettiest room I've ever seen, and we were treated like gold by all the staff. Our guests had an amazing time and ate loads of food! I would recommend this to anyone, especially if you like indoor gardens.

Truly Magnificent!!
My husband & I were married at the Madison Hotel... 3.12.16 ceremony & reception in the exclusive Conservatory. Our wedding experience was magical! we could not have been happier! Charles Dietz was our Catering Manager... and made sure that every attention to detail was perfect! With a food allergy, mix of older and younger guests, & half of said guests coming from out of town, Charles and the Madison Staff made sure everyone felt like a returning friend! Our family & friends still rave over the wonderful food, romantic ambiance of the Conservatory, and the pleasant and attentive staff! The Madison Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way!!! From their extensive selections for the cocktail hour, main course, and all of the courses in between, no taste bud will be left disappointed! And no need to go outside the Madison for your cake either... their pastry chef is phenomenal!
Rehearsal dinner was at Rod's Steak House, inside The Madison, and was outstanding!!
We highly recommend The Madison Hotel for your wedding celebration... or any function that calls for the best food, service, and experience!

I recently got married at the Madison hotel and it was absolutely amazing ! The staff was very professional and friendly . Tim and Carolina were always there waiting and eager to fill our drinks and help us get anything we needed . They were so helpful and kind . Our cocktail hour was amazing , especially our sushi spread ! It was some of the best sushi I have ever had! Carolina did an amazing job setting up the sushi display ! The dessert spread was out of this world ! I have never had so many amazing types of desserts . Our wedding cake was so beautifully decorated and couldn't have been more perfect ! Keith the pastry chef did an outstanding job ! Our veniese table was spectacular!!! We had the wedding of our dreams ! I wouldn't change anything! Thank you to all the wait staff and all of those who put their all into making this night the most perfect one imaginable .

Our experience at the Madison hotel was wonderful ! We couldn't be happier with they way everything turned out ! Tim and all his wait staff were completely professional and helpful ! We never had to worry about a thing ! The dessert was out of this world and everyone is still raving about how great it was ! It was truly spectacular ! I wouldn't change a thing !

We had the most amazing wedding reception in the Conservatory of the Madison hotel! Talk about classy, this venue cannot be beat.

It was raining/freezing (this was April 9th) and you would never have known! The decor, amazing. The food, delicious. The staff, attentive and on their game.

The location was just icing on the cake. We had a lot of out-of-town guests who came in via train (from the city or the airport) and some who stayed and took a direct train into NYC for a little visit the day before. We had our rehearsal dinner in a private room at Rod's, and a smaller family brunch the Sunday afterwards at Rod's as well. Besides the 4 minute ride to the church for the ceremony, everything was in one place.

Thank you, Tim and Charles, for helping to plan and execute an unforgettable time!

As someone who used to do a lot of event planning I knew the exact style of wedding that I wanted to have. My husband and I researched many, many, many venues online and in person before ultimately deciding to go with the Madison. Having my wedding at the Madison hotel was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I could not be more pleased with the quality of the event and the level of service and professionalism that I received from the staff of the Madison along the way. The Madison has an old world elegance and charm that is rare to find. The sophisticated ambiance of the venue was important to me as I did not want my wedding to be a “wedding factory” wedding. However, what is nice about the Madison is that although it is charming and elegant it is backed with the staff of a large well run hotel. The large infrastructure of the Madison and the professionalism of the staff guarantees that the execution of your event will go smoothly and that your guests will have all of the amenities of a well-run hotel at their fingertips. The Madison is centrally located and only a train ride away from NYC making travel to and from airports easy. Economical room rates ($139) make it affordable for your guests to stay overnight allowing for extra "wedding time" at the hotel bar after the reception and at the complimentary breakfast the next day. The Madison has every amenity that a bride could want - - a spacious bridal suite, large separate rooms to do hair and make up, a moderately priced tavern and high end steakhouse to serve as venues for a rehearsal dinner or any pre-wedding preparation. I can't say enough good things about Tim McHale and Joe Zimmerman. I would like to write more good things about my experience at the Madison but this site limits the amount of characters that you could post.

We had our wedding in the conservatory which was beautiful, intimate, and very romantic! From start to finish, The Madison Hotel was accommodating, professional, patient in answering all of my questions, meticulous, attentive, and completely exceeded our expectations. They really went above & beyond with anything additional we requested. The food is excellent too, especially the wedding cake. We received so many compliments on how great the cake was. I have not experienced customer service like this in a very long time- top notch!

My husband and I got married at the Madison just like week, and the day was amazing. We worked with Tim from the very beginning. He helped us to design our day and the menu exactly as we wanted. The food was delicious from cocktail hour to dinner and our amaxing cake. The conservatory is beautifully decorated for the season and looked gorgeous in the evening. We heard only good things from our guests about the food and the service. Our maitre D' was Joe. He was very attentive and went above and beyond to make the night personalized and special for us. Thank you to everyone at the Madison for making our day wonderful, we cannot say enough good things.
