Knowlton Mansion was the best choice we made for our wedding celebration. We feel so grateful that my mom found this venue and we ran with it.
We already had the best first impression and they did not disappoint until the very end.
Everyone we talked to and worked with was so nice, accommodating, patient, and professional. From the very first person, Cara, who introduced us to the venue and the logistics, to Eileen the event manager, to Rebecca the day of manager, and the bridal attendant were all SO personable and supportive and focused on helping us fulfill our vision. We really appreciated how patient they were with us. Also would like to point out how easy it is to communicate with the team and have all of our questions answered throughout the entire process. Eileen was particularly so helpful and responsive ! They also kept us accountable with reasonable and very clear timelines. On the day of, Rebecca was so receptive and clear in that she is there to support us and answer any type of question ever.
Ok and the FOOD was something else! All of our guests from different parts of our lives were similarly huge fans of the food and the portion. The hors d'oeuvres were such a hit and the entree was so good and great portions. They left feeling so full and satisifed which was so important to us.
Knowlton Mansion was such an important factor to why our wedding day was the best day of our lives. We wish we could go back to this most perfect day.

Elegant, Unique, and Stress-free from start to finish
We toured Knowlton in January 2024. Even in the darkest days of winter, it held such a unique elegance. We toured 8 other venues that weekend and Knowlton was categorically the winner for us. The mansion boasts an intriguing walk-through with well-preserved rooms that make for a fascinating welcome to your event. The ballroom in the back is large, airy, and innately beautiful. We felt comfortable minimize costs on florists due to the beauty of the mansion and I have no regrets. We also thought they had a great rain plan - that was really important to us. We have seen too many friends scrambling to figure out a viable bad weather plan.
Leading up to our wedding, I emailed Eileen with an annoying amount of questions for which she had endless patience. I never felt like a nuisance, even though I am completely confident there were several questions I asked her multiple times.
Knowlton includes a day-of coordinator and a personal bridal attendant. I worked with Dani as my day-of coordinator, and I cannot say enough great things about her. She did the impossible - she made my wedding day completely stress-free. If there were problems during the day, I simply never heard about them. She took my vision for the day and enhanced everything - she completely understood how I wanted things to look, and then improved my plan.
I extended our time at the mansion so my bridal party and I could get ready there - I strongly recommend doing that if you have the option. It allowed the bridal party to feel settled in. We also did the Wine Cellar which, frankly, is a must. Guests loved having the option to head down and do a sampling. It was a nice little "surprise" after dinner. Our guests also really enjoyed all the outdoor spaces - Knowlton sets up a great outdoor tent with fire pits.
We are still receiving compliments about the venue, the food, and the flow of the day. I have nothing to fault them on. Our photographs are so unique and beautiful. There are too many great spots to take photos - we could have spent a week exploring all the curious spaces for photos. Thank you ALL for making our day seamless.

A dream come true!
From the moment my now husband and I walked into the Knowlton Mansion, we knew this was the place we wanted to have our reception. The mansion is the most unique venue I have seen, and the addition of the ballroom is beautiful but still carries over the charm of the original home. Eileen was our point of contact leading up to the wedding and she was a delight to work with. She was very helpful and responsive with all my questions, and she made me feel at ease with the timeline. On the day of the wedding the staff was amazing! My husband and I had a few waiters that were focused on us all night. They made sure we had a drink and tasted every hors d'oeuvre. Overall, I can’t recommend Knowlton enough. The place was beautiful, and the staff was top-notch.

July 2024 Wedding
Knowlton Mansion is a beautiful and charming venue! My husband and I got married at Knowlton Mansion on July 5, 2024. The Conroy Catering team were great to work with. In the months leading up to our wedding, we were able to reach out to our coordinator, Eileen, at any time to answer all our questions. We were able to visit whenever we needed for planning purposes. Eileen was amazing to work with! In the week leading up to our wedding, we worked with our day-of coordinator, Dani, and she was absolutely wonderful! She had a calming presence that was able to meet all our needs and answer all our last minute questions. She was so helpful and attentive throughout the whole evening. Additionally, all the ladies got ready at the venue the morning of the wedding. All the staff were very accommodating while we did hair and makeup. All of our vendors were welcomed and everything ran so smoothly. Lastly and most importantly, our families and guests loved the venue! They loved the outdoor ceremony space, exploring the mansion, and hanging out in the sunroom of the reception area for cocktail hour. Our wedding date was extremely hot outside, and we cannot thank the staff enough for being so accommodating to our guests while they waited for the ceremony to start. They made sure they had water and could wait inside if they needed. The food was also amazing and our guests had so many compliments on our station-styled menu. The Conroy Catering team went above and beyond on our day to make sure that everything ran smoothly, that guests were taken care of, and that we were having the best day!

Absolutely stellar!
As my now-husband and I drove away from our tour of Knowlton, we immediately knew it was the venue for us. For the services you get wrapped into one, Knowlton is a no-brainer! Our day-of coordinator made sure things moved smoothly, the cake was delivered directly, and the staff ushered guests from place to place. Everyone couldn't have been more friendly! The space is gorgeous on its own, so we didn't even need a florist. If you're looking for a one-stop shop with helpful staff, DELICIOUS food, and a unique breath-taking site, cannot recommend Knowlton more.

The most perfect venue!!
This was the absolute perfect venue! It was very unique, which I loved! The front part is an old mansion and the back was an addition they put on and has a more rustic feel. There's a barn out back and a beautiful outdoor ceremony location. The back up for rain is in the barn, which they just renovated and looks gorgeous! There's so many unique places for pictures (mansion, nature, barn, wine cellar, etc). The staff was AMAZING. Eileen was our coordinator for planning purposes prior to the wedding and she was sooo helpful. She made sure every single detail was planned out perfectly. And our day of staff, Dani and Rebecca were the best!! They made sure the day went smoothly and that we had everything we needed at all times. They really made you feel like your wedding was the most important day for them, too. They were just the loveliest. The food was INCREDIBLE. I'm not usually a big fan of wedding food, but all of our guests were blown away by the food selection and quality.

An absolute gem!
Knowlton was the best choice we could have made for our wedding day - hands down! As a venue, it offers everything: a gorgeous historical setting, two beautiful ceremony spaces, excellent food & drinks, an amazing ballroom, and a team that will really go above and beyond to make your day a dream-turned-reality. For couples who are in the process of finding a wedding venue in the Philly area - you MUST visit Knowlton! We only have great things to say about our experience with Knowlton. Our journey started in 2019 - we were looking for a venue that would host both our wedding ceremony and reception with an outdoor option, and Knowlton was it. Since it's also owned by a catering company, the food is outstanding. To top it off, Knowlton offered the best rates and flexibility as to our event hours. We don't live locally and felt confident enough to book Knowlton without even visiting first! Over the past three years, we navigated two postponements due to the pandemic. Each time, the Knowlton team was incredibly understanding and willing to move our date. At a time when vendors were having a hard time themselves, the team's graciousness and generosity quite literally kept our wedding dream alive. When our day arrived, it was even better than we envisioned. Chris, the day-of coordinator, and her team did a perfect job. Our ceremony and reception, including a delicious sit-down dinner, went without a hitch. There were so many moments of kindness and support - as the bride and groom we felt taken care of the entire time. Our guests raved about our wedding, our venue, and the catering, and we have Knowlton to thank for that. All the praise to the Knowlton team!

Amazing wedding venue!
As my husband and I near our 1 year wedding anniversary, I can't help but remember how amazing my day was at Knowlton Mansion last March 2022. The staff at Knowlton Mansion really make the experience incredible, everyone was so attentive and flexible. The food was OUTSTANDING, my guests raved about it for months. Day of my dreams!
I don't even know where to begin with all of the AMAZING things I have to say about Conroy Catering and Knowlton Mansion. The staff from the very beginning made the entire booking process so smooth and easy. They were beyond responsive to all my emails and so easy to work with. Eileen made our coordination so organized and was beyond helpful! We couldn't have had the organized and smooth day without her. Then Chris as our day of coordinator was beyond amazing!! She placed everything exactly where I imagined and made Knowlton look breathtaking. My guests who walked in were all blown away with its beauty! Then the FOOD!! Amazing!!! My guests today are still talking about how delicious everything was. I never had wedding food this fantastic. Every worker and bartender at Conroy Catering is fantastic and dedicated to making your day perfect. I was truly blown away and at a loss of words for how amazing they made my wedding! Amazing experience!!
We are so happy we chose the Knowlton Mansion as our wedding venue! The staff was amazing from start to finish. Cara and Eileen were very responsive and answered all of our questions promptly and gave great advice and recommendations. The venue is gorgeous and so unique, from the wine cellar service to the outdoor firepits and much more. The ceremony location under the pergola is perfect and barely needs additional decor. Everything was taken care of so well on the day of the wedding thanks to Chris. The team pays attention to every detail - for example, they knew I wanted all of the decor to have gold accents; the cake stand I brought wasn't large enough so they used their silver cake stand but decorated it with gold cloth to go with my theme. My bridal attendant, Dee, was so sweet and kept us on schedule and made sure my husband & I were fed throughout the night. The food choices were also unique and delicious. We received numerous compliments on the food and venue and atmosphere. We couldn't be happier with our experience! Thank you!!

Knowlton Mansion saved our wedding!
This was our DREAM day!!! Long story short, the Knowlton Mansion staff and venue completely saved our wedding!
We were originally booked with another venue (one which got a tremendously bad rep locally during Covid....) and we changed everything and were re-booked at Knowlton less than 90 days before the big day! Not only was Cara and the booking staff extraordinarily helpful, they were also incredibly sympathetic for us and everything we had gone through with our original venue. They showed true compassion to us for once! Cara ensured all booking information was sent to us quickly, and we were there touring within 24 hours. As soon as we got there, I felt like this tremendous weight had been lifted off of my chest. The venue is absolutely stunning, and they were beyond accommodating with us! We were treated like we mattered and like our wedding day was important, which was the exact opposite of how we felt prior at the original venue.
With so little time to go until our big day, the entire Knowlton team was incredible in assisting us to get everything organized, booked, and put together. We had a tasting so quickly so that we could FINALLY send out our invitations (which had been previously printed with the original venue, but not sent yet thank goodness). The food was BEYOND delicious! So much more upscale and exciting than the typical "wedding food" menu. They even helped create a custom deviled egg and a shrimp po boy slider for cocktail hour for us! The short rib was seriously to die for, both at the tasting and the wedding itself. So tender and flavorful! But seriously, you cannot go wrong with a single menu offering! Everything was phenomenal.
In the last weeks leading up to the day, Eileen took the reins and she was just as amazing as the rest of the staff. I felt completely stress free when it came to anything venue related, and 10000% confident that we were in good hands. We absolutely were!
The day of our wedding was perfection! We had gorgeous October weather, a team that took care of our every needs, and absolutely everything turned out exactly how I had hoped! Our guests raved about our menu options (I heard cocktail hour was incredible!), and everyone had time to eat and enjoy before dancing the night away in the gorgeous reception area. We also had the wine cellar service during cocktail hour, which was such a treat for us and our guests!
This wedding day was 3 years coming because of the pandemic, so to have everything go so incredibly smoothly at a place that truly cared about us meant the world! I cannot speak highly enough about Cara, Eileen, and the entire staff over at Knowlton! I will forever recommend this gorgeous venue to any and every bride/groom to be!

Could not have asked for a better venue! Not only was the place unique and gorgeous, but the staff was so helpful! Eileen helped me plan out my whole day and Rebecca acted as my day of coordinator. I didn't have a wedding planner or separate day of coordinator and I did not need them thanks to the staff at Knowlton. I wish I could have spent the entire day there taking photos because of how unique and beautiful it is. The food was incredible, and people keep telling me how delicious everything was. They were also very accommodating with last minute changes and making sure the day was everything I wanted. I am so thankful to the staff for helping make my day perfect.

A literal dream come true
The Knowlton Mansion is a breathtaking venue, and the staff of Conroy Catering are unmatched. Our event coordinator, Rebecca, was incredibly wonderful and efficient, and helped produce an absolute dream of a wedding. Our main attendant Dani was SUPERB. She always made sure we had food and drinks at hand, she made sure we wanted for nothing, and she was so upbeat the entire time. Every server and attendant was professional, kind, prompt, efficient - I cannot recommend them enough. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Best Wedding Ever
We cannot rave about this venue enough! We had our wedding on 10/28/21 and had the best staff (Eileen, Cara, and Rebecca) helping us plan it all. From start to finish, Eileen and Cara were easy to communicate with via email and phone, which is a huge plus when rescheduling a wedding three times. On the day of the wedding, every staff member was attentive to our bridal party needs and helped set up our decor to take stress off our friends/family. Even the owner, Jack Conroy, checked in with us to make sure we got everything we needed for our big day. Let me not forget our amazing bridal attendant who made sure we got to sample all our appetizers and drinks during cocktail hour while taking photos. Every one of our guests loved the options for butlered hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and dessert bar! The food quality and taste was stellar and dare I say the best I’ve ever had at a wedding (even our NYC family agreed). The new tents outside are retrofitted with gorgeous chandeliers and heaters for your guests, and the fireplace/patio area was a huge hit for s’mores! If you’re looking for a venue in Philadelphia where everything is included in the package (esp for a large wedding like ours with 200+ people), you definitely need to choose Knowlton Mansion!

Absolute dream venue and staff
The Knowlton Mansion was an absolute dream to work with. We had to postpone our wedding to August 2021 and they were so accommodating, very responsive to all of our questions, and so nice during the whole process. The entire planning process was so easy with them. On the wedding day the staff was so attentive and made it a seamless affair. We legitimately didn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day. They even had a bridal attendant who found my husband and I multiple times while we were taking picture during the cocktail party and brought us water/appetizers/drinks. It was amazing. I cannot recommend this venue enough

The most amazing wedding venue!
From the moment we walked into Knowlton Mansion, we fell in love with it! Choosing Knowlton Mansion as our wedding venue was the best decision we ever could have made! It is such a gorgeous, special, and unique place. We got married in July, and we are still in awe of how beautiful it was! We truly had the wedding of our dreams, and we are so grateful for Conroy Catering and the wonderful staff at Knowlton Mansion. They went above and beyond to make sure our day went smoothly! Eileen, Cara, Rebecca, and Dee were so responsive and helpful, and they took such great care of us! The food was incredible, the cake was delicious (and beautifully decorated), and we absolutely loved the wine cellar! I don’t know where to begin! Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and so much more! Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering were beyond amazing. Our guests kept saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The food was amazing. They kept telling us how beautiful the venue was and I could not agree more. We had so much fun! We appreciate everything that everyone did especially Chris with the setup and helping organize everything. Dee was also AMAZING! She brought us food, made sure we ate, and had fun! She was so great! I seriously cannot thank them enough and everyone else. Eileen was a huge help with all my questions and details. We are so so grateful and so happy we chose this as our venue, I could cry over how perfect everything turned out. They made this huge and stressful moment in our lives so incredible and made the entire process so EASY! We had a miscommunication with our florist regarding setup and the ladies at Knowlton made sure my vision still came to life! It was amazing, a dream come true. Truly magical. Hidden gem
My husband and I recently celebrated our wedding at Knowlton Mansion in July 2021. The staff at Conroy helped make our wedding truly something to remember. While our wedding was small and intimate, our guests are still talking about it weeks later.
I full heartedly recommend Conroy catering at Knowlton Mansion, and wish to share the following from our recent experience.
Atmosphere:
—Open home: We really wanted our guests to be able to wander and not feel locked into a ballroom. Our guests enjoyed the ability to explore the historic rooms. It helped the day feel personal. Like we were celebrating in a home. The historic rooms also offer a great place to get ready.
—While the mansion is historic, the attached ballroom is modern with all the conveniences of a modern world—-AC (the historic rooms have AC too, great for summer wedding), generous bathrooms for guests (no lines or porte-potties here folks), kitchen on-site, etc.
—The ballroom has a lot of sunlights and windows to create an amazing naturalistic and bright space—perfect alternative for an outdoor loving couple forced by weather to stay indoors. We lucked out and had ours outdoors, but it meant a lot to know we had a Plan B that would be memorable too.
Covid Safety:
—Our wedding was originally planned May 2020. During the past year, there has been a lot of stress, but none of it came from our wedding planning with Conroy. They worked so hard to accommodate us and keep our guests safe. When we rescheduled from 2020 to 2021, they worked with us. They also offered a variety of Covid safety measures: staff wearing masks, reducing shared plates at food stations, outdoor/indoor space, improving air circulation through open doors, outdoor tents, etc.
They took it seriously, and we trusted them. With a guest list that included several elderly and vulnerable guests, including the groom himself, this trust was not something lightly given. But at every step, they demonstrated that safety was a priority. In the end, our 40 person event had no covid cases, thankfully.
Accommodations
—Our guests and bridal party had several health issues that they accommodated with great aplomb. Handicapped ramp and bathrooms. Space was easily accessible for guests with mobility issues.
—Groom has bad back, they allowed us to keep specialty ice pack in kitchen fridge and groom was able to lie down on chase upstairs when needed.
—Dietary needs—This is the BIGGEST thing that brought use to Conroy and that we will sing praises about until the day we die. Groom has celiacs and other dietary needs that required a gluten-free, fish free meal plan. It wasn’t just the groom. When all was done, each table had a gluten-free eater. Special care was taken to make the food default gluten free. While there was some gluten food about, it was clearly marked and all entries, appetizers, and even the cake was gluten free. My god the CAKE! Best gluten free cake ever. Cake was made by a pastry chef who works at a gluten free bakery. Amazing! For any couple with diet issues, know that Conroy will work with you.
In short, when we started planning we felt overwhelmed and concerned about having a safe space that could accommodate the physical and dietary needs of our guests. Not only did they help address those needs, they made planning the wedding so smooth. And on our special day, Rebecca (our day of manager) made everything go smoothly. She dealt with issues we didn’t even know we had. In the end our day passed like a dream. It all happened so quickly, but it was such an amazing experience, and Conroy is there to help make it happen.

Stunning and professional venue!
We cannot say enough about how much we LOVE the Knowlton Mansion. Having our wedding reception here was the best decision we made!! Planning (and replanning) a wedding during covid was stressful, but Knowlton and Conroy Catering made it a breeze. They bent over backwards for us at every step of the way to make us feel special and to reschedule for a new date. The venue is absolutely GORGEOUS. If you’re looking for a venue that will provide your photographer with countless unique photo ops, this is your place. Our photographer could not get enough! She kept saying how much she loved the venue and its uniqueness. The food is outstanding! There are so many options to choose from… (make sure to get the chicken and waffles app!) Due to covid, they added an additional tent outdoors, which actually made for a beautiful cocktail hour outside. Everybody, from the billing to the wedding planner, to the day-of-staff was top-notch. When we arrived for our reception, all of our decorations and tables were set up, just as we had imagined! It was the perfect day, and we would do it all over again.

Conroy catering facilitated our wedding and we could not have been more impressed. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. They handled every detail for us and they were there every step of the way from the contact signing to the end of our wedding. We got married during the pandemic and regulations were changing daily. Actually up to the the day before our wedding! It was stressful and uncertain for months but the staff at conroy were there to update us and give us news even it it wasn’t what we wanted to hear. They modified and restructured things up to the last day to make sure that we could have our perfect wedding. We couldn’t have been more grateful. I can only imagine what an amazing job they do during normal times. I would recommend them to anyone looking to plan an event. Big or small.

Amazing Experience During A Pandemic!!
Our wedding was originally scheduled during the COVID-19 shutdown and Conroy Catering got straight to work on creating a plan B for us. However, our "plan B" turned out to be better than we could have ever imagined for our first plan! Not only did they help make the wedding of our dreams come to fruition, they had so much care and understanding throughout the uncertain process, they were in contact with me every single day, and they helped make sure all of our guests were safe! I would highly recommend Lisa and her team. Anything can happen or go wrong while planning a wedding and this team will be ready to adapt and make sure it is more than perfect no matter what!

Growing up in the fox chase area I have always admired the Knowlton Mansion, and wondered what it would be like inside. Recently, my wedding rehearsal dinner was held there and it exceeded all of my expectation! From the absolutely delicious food, to the gorgeous, unique and historical atmosphere! The best part of the whole experience was the incredibly kind and helpful Staff. They made sure we had a night we would never forget!!! I highly recommend this Knowlton Mansion for any event!

Amazing! Best wedding venue ever!
Getting married is stressful enough, but add in a pandemic, stressful is an understatement but Conroy Catering's staff helped us through the process, rebooking us twice, reassuring me IN EVERY WAY that they were here to help. In the end we had the most amazing wedding EVER!! Since the day after the wedding, my phone has been blowing up telling me it was THE BEST FOOD they ever had at a wedding, how beautiful the mansion and grounds are and how wonderful the staff was. The tent they added was perfect to keep us and our family and friends was perfect so we could socially distance us from each other yet still be able to be all together to celebrate. They also had a sanitation captain that went around and cleaned surfaces throughout the party which made us feel so safe. And I have to get back to the food... OMG!!!! The butlered hors d'oeuves were soooo good! We picked the short ribs for our entree which was the best piece of meat I have ever had in my life and my husband is a crab cake aficionado and he said it was the best crab cake he ever had and as I said above, our guest all agreed- BEST FOOD EVER!!!! And I can't forget about the cake... WOW!!! We picked chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and lemon pound with lemon curd and it was fantastic along with the other dessests!!! I can't thank Conroy Catering and their staff for making my dream wedding come true and making it perfect in every way!!! YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!

Best Wedding Venue!
My husband and I made one of the best decisions in picking the Knowlton Mansion. Everyone we had met with was very helpful. Our event manager and bridal attendant were so amazing and attentive to me and my husband during our wedding. The event manager setup all of my decorations and coordinated the ceremony, while the bridal attendant made sure we tried all of the food and refilled our drinks. I still get so many compliments on the food! I will be recommending Knowlton to everyone I know, and hope to visit as a guest soon!

We had the pleasure of having our son’s wedding rehearsal dinner at the Knowlton Mansion on the evening of 10/15/20. During these uncertain times, we didn’t know what to expect. Everything was exceptional. All current guidelines were followed, leaving us and our guests feeling very safe. The decor was very welcoming, with the tables neatly set with candles, greens and crisp white linens. Simple elegance . The glow of the fire pit was visible through the dining room windows enticing everyone to come outside for a visit. We had preordered the Chicken Francaise as the meal and it was the best I’ve ever tasted. Eileen and her staff (Danielle, Kelly and Suzi) promptly saw to all of our needs - from drinks to desserts. Making history in Philadelphia
My husband and I knew we wanted to have our wedding here the moment we walked in the door. The building has so much history and it has stood the test of time. We were looking for a location close to home, which would look incredible everywhere in photos, and would also not break the bank. We really wanted to get married in a historic building, and this place had ticked all the boxes. All the food was delicious and we had heard so many compliments about the food and the building. Our favorites were the duck hors d'oeuvres, the chicken and waffles, and the bavarian cream filled chiffon cake. It felt so luxurious. The staff was always friendly, attentive and incredible accomodating. We also had a wine tasting in the cellar, which is a very romantic little spot that feels like being transported to Europe. It's incredibly charming and was a key part in our perfect day ever.

Beautiful Venue, Great Food, Attentive Staff
The Knowlton Mansion is a hidden gem in North Philadelphia. I had never heard of it before I started planning my wedding, but am so glad I found it. The venue is beautiful, the staff were responsive and attentive both during the planning phase and on the day of our wedding (they made sure we ate, and our glasses were never empty!) The food was really great - and they threw in some nice additions like a wine tasting in the wine cellar and valet parking. I would highly recommend!

Dream wedding
There are not enough words to be able to describe how amazing and grateful my husband and I were to have been married at Knowlton Mansion. From the team who helped us plan to our staff on our wedding day, everything was perfect. There are plenty of people available prior to your event to help with organizing and answering any and all questions. They do their best to make it everything you want and more. They are very upfront about prices and what all of their packages include. Lauren Murray was fantastic leading up to our event. Likewise, the day of staff was great. Chris, our coordinator the day of, was on top of everything and everything went off without a single hiccup. It even rained on my wedding day and she made it her mission to get me outside for my ceremony like I wanted. Dani, the bridal assistant, is the sweetest! She helped me down the aisle, made sure I always had a drink in my hand, delivered me my food, and made my night the best time ever!!! Our cake/food was phenomenal and they accommodated for all of our vendors as well. I cannot recommend Knowlton Mansion/Conroy Catering enough!!!

Amazing venue. Besides being beautiful the staff was always endlessly helpful. They were accommodating with my time of arrival all the way to the end of the night. The venue allows guests to wander the grounds, sit by the fire, explore the house, or dance the night away. I know all of my guests had a great time because of this. Food was amazing and no one left hungry and I’ve gotten endless compliments on my cake. Just note if you have the ceremony there you will need to provide your own mic/speaker. I didn’t know this and some guests couldn’t hear us during the ceremony

The Most Amazing Day!
We had the most amazing wedding day at Knowlton Mansion. This venue is such a gem in the city - it's so special and gorgeous. The staff were so helpful and easy to work with from the beginning. They were a huge help with all of the questions and coordinating leading up to the wedding and relieved our stress (as much as possible). They offer three packages, but you can really customize everything however you'd like, from the menu to the floor plan of the whole venue. Eileen was our day-of manager and she and everyone else at Knowlton were awesome (not to mention so sweet!) and everything ran so smoothly! They made sure we were offered all of the cocktail hour foods and desserts, they catered to our parents, and just really made the day perfect for us and our guests who gave us lots of compliments. You can't get better than Knowlton Mansion. From the moment we walked in we knew we wanted to get married there from the old house mansion look on the front to the rustic vintage ballroom on the back and the awesome patio space it was the one. Once we chose it we never looked back. Lori was wonderful responding to all my various emails in a professional and timely manner. I asked to stop by the venue a few times before my big day and they were extremely accommodating. On my wedding day they truly made all my dreams come true with not one thing that went wrong. They were extremely professional and kind. They accommodating the fact that I cannot eat gluten with gluten free apps, dinner, and a gluten free wedding cake. I continue to get complements on how awesome the venue was as well as how amazingly delicious the food was. I truly cannot recommend them enough.

Amazing! Dream wedding!
We had the most magical wedding EVER at Knowlton Mansion on 3/30/2019. It was a dream come true! The entire staff were so genuine, welcoming, and accommodating. I am fortunate enough to live close to the venue, and would often stop by (weekly) to make payments- they always welcomed me to walk around to get inspiration, take photos, ask questions. Lori was also super responsive and helpful to emails during the planning process. We completely customized our menu and did stations instead of the typical seated dinner and it was a HUGE hit. Conroy Catering didn't bat an eye, and totally entertained by crazy ideas- and they exceeded my expecations! The passed hors d'oeuvres were to die for! Mini crabcakes, cheesesteak empanadas, beef negimaki: makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The salmon at our American station was melt-in-your-mouth good! We did a his, hers, and OURS signature cocktails- delicious, fresh, top shelf quality cocktails. Our Bridal Attendant Dee was so attentive- she kept the food and drinks flowing all night for me and my Groom. Eileen, our coordinator, was so helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive ( especially during my rehearsal stress!) We felt so comfortable in that space, we never wanted to leave. Last but certainly not least, the cake, cupcakes and cookies were unbelievably awesome. I consider myself to be a cupcake snob and honestly we were worried with them baking and frosting so many- would they be dry? bland? we hadn't tasted any of their baked goods and had no idea- They were AWESOME! their pastry chef could win any episode of cupcake wars with flying colors! Man! Our strawberry champagne cupcake hit it out of the park, with banana tres leche being a close second. Our beautiful sparkler exit capped off the night- a night we wish we could relive forever! Thanks Lori, Lauren, Eileen, Dee, the bartenders, and entire staff for helping to make our dream wedding a reality! Don't hesitate when booking your special day at Knowlton Mansion- it will be the best decision you make!

Our daughter Lindsey and her husband Scott got married on March 23, 2019, and it was such a beautiful and magical day. We had the best experience w/Knowlton planning our daughter's wedding. Everyone we dealt with was kind, helpful and professional. The food was insanely delicious and cake so amazing...I loved the cake so much, I ate leftover cake for the entire week after weeding:)...The best venue ever...you felt as if you were in a warm home with gorgeous details that took your breath away! A perfect wedding at a perfect venue
Our wedding was absolutely wonderful. The Knowlton Mansion provides the most beautiful and romantic setting for a wedding, AND the staff are incredible in making sure everything goes smoothly all night. My husband and I were so well taken care of the entire evening. We got so many compliments about the food, and our guests seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. Absolutely no complaints!

Amazing Venue!
The Knowlton Mansion was a superb place for my reception. The food was excellent, the chef was very attentive to the dietary restrictions of some of the guests, and the space was breathtaking. My daughter and her husband were married at Knowlton Mansion on June 30, 2018. The day was extraordinary. The customer service and attentiveness of the staff is top quality. Lori was superb in planning and preparing for the event. Lori made some great suggestions and offered input in making considerations for the event. The staff at the event were all extremely helpful. Dee and Chris know what they are doing and made the day special for the bride and groom. The food service staff, chefs and bartenders were personable, worked hard and made a special day for all. The food was superb and the guests raved about the quality of the food. The building and setting are different than many venues. The charm of the mansion and the beautiful grounds was the perfect setting. The staff were very accommodating and never once said there were things we could not do or they could not do. The quality, setting and helpfulness of everyone at Knowlton is truly appreciated. In comparison to other venues I feel the pricing was more than fair. There were no hidden fees/upcharges and that made budgeting much easier.

We just had our wedding at Knowlton Mansion on 06/23/18. Everything from the beginning to the end was amazing. Working with Lori throughout the entire process was awesome. She answered all questions and made sure to communicate all details to our manager for the day of, Chris. Chris was on top of everything and made sure everything ran smoothly. Dee waited on my husband and I during the wedding and she was so sweet and made sure we were okay. We had so many compliments on the venue, especially the wine cellar! Knowlton Mansion is a beautiful venue and I highly recommend it! Seriously, no complaints!

Knowlton Mansion was an AMAZING place to have our wedding! I was looking for something a little different than the typical Philadelphia ballroom. I wanted the romantic feel, while still being close to the city for our guests. Lori was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Our families are from out of town so they hadn't seen the venues. We emailed Lori and she always allowed us to bring people in to see the space. She was prompt in answering emails and stayed on top of things. I knew the venue would be beautiful, especially set up with the flowers and decor for the wedding, but when we got there on the wedding day it exceeded my expectations. I had always heard that the bride and groom never eat and are super exhausted from running around and talking to everyone, not the case at Knowlton. I had an attendant whose main job was to feed me and bring me drinks...it was the best thing ever! She would ask me what I wanted to try while we were taking pictures and would hold a napkin under me while I ate it during a quick picture break, seriously, it was the most fun experience ever. They also made sure any food we wanted to try was on our table when we sat down and we had champagne waiting for us at our table. At the end of the night, they made sure to have a variety of desserts at our table as well to try. One thing we heard repeatedly from our guests was how amazing the food was. People are still telling us that our wedding had the best food of any wedding they had ever been too. We were lucky to get a beautiful summer day and the grounds were amazing. Our guests really enjoyed sitting outside by the fire pit. You should definitely pick Knowlton Mansion as your wedding venue. You will NOT be disappointed!!

Customer service was beyond our expectations! From the time we first visited until after the event the staff was extraordinary. We had several special food requirements that the chef happily fulfilled. Lori guided us through the process up until the rehearsal when Eileen took the reins to help us through my daughter’s wedding day. On the day of the Wedding we had Dee as our bridal assistant. Everyone we dealt with were exceptional!!

Would recommend the Knowlton Mansion to anyone looking for a unique, elegant, and beautiful wedding venue!! From the grounds, to the mansion, to the high ceiling in the ballroom - this place is picture picture perfect! Not to mention the food is AMAZING - and that's not being biased. We had endless compliments on the great food selections. And as an added bonus the staff is amazing! So helpful and accommodating leading up to the wedding day and extremely attentive and flexible day of! Definitely check them out!

I can't say enough good things about Knowlton Mansion. My husband and I had our reception at Knowlton on 10/8/16 and had the best experience. From planning before the wedding to dropping off our decorations and enjoying our day, everything was taken care of and exactly how we asked! Dee and Chris took care of everything for us and were always available to keep the night moving along and to get us whatever we needed. We dropped off boxes of wine bottles and decorations and they were set up exactly how we had described. The day after all anyone could say was how good the food was - especially the desserts! And our LEGO wedding cake - special request from the groom - was such a hit! Everything was beautiful! Thank you!

Wow! We don't even know where to begin. We had our wedding on September 3 at the Knowlton Mansion and it was truly the most magical day of our lives. The venue was absolutely gorgeous, especially during the end of the summer. We had our ceremony outside and our reception in the ballroom and it was just beautiful. Lori was our point person in the beginning who was absolutely wonderful - very professional and poised, answering a MILLION emails of mine - and transitioned everything over to Eileen, who was our day of coordinator, who was just lovely! We got to meet Eileen during our final meeting with Lori and she put any worry I had quickly to bed. She just got it. I work in the event planning industry so was a bit particular (which I'm sure many brides are) but she handled every suggestion with grace and left me feeling completely stress-free, knowing it would all come together perfectly, and boy was I right! When we arrived at the venue everything was setup beautifully, better than I pictured, and my fiance and I were so happy and excited. Eileen had attended to everything before we even asked for it, and to both of our families - the level of detail and attentiveness far exceeded our expectations. And Dee, our maitre d, was absolutely wonderful! You could tell she really loves what she does and every time we smiled, she smiled back even bigger. She was absolutely incredible! The beautiful decor, amazing food and service was truly incredible. We are so happy we picked the Knowlton Mansion to hold our wedding at, it was truly the happiest day of our lives! We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something unique and rustic, just beautiful!

Our experience with Knowlton Mansion was so great! We worked with Lori leading up to the wedding who was so responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. She was a dream. Eileen and Dani were the managers who were with us the day of the wedding and they felt like family! They were a joy to work with and made the day go seamlessly! My only call out was that the room felt a little tight with our guest count of 230. Otherwise, our guests were blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of the venue. It truly is an experience! I can't stress enough how amazing this venue is. It literally has everything you could ever want in a rustic / vintage type setting. I was originally supposed to get married outside in the garden, but due to unfortunate weather it was moved inside. Everything was still SO perfect. The staff is so warm and friendly and Lori is just unbelievably sweet and helpful. Lori never failed to answer my emails within the same day or any calls I made. She was always there to help. The day of I worked with Jeannie. She had such a warm and energetic grace about her that calmed me entirely! My day was perfect and it was all because of The Knowlton Mansion and it's staff!

Knowlton Mansion was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a vintage/rustic/unique setting in the Philadelphia area. Our wedding was flawless from start to finish. The venue was beautiful, the food was delicious, even the cake. I have never been to wedding were the people actually eat the cake, and even take pieces to go (we chose the carrot cake)! Before the day of the wedding, Lori was beyond accommodating. My email were always answered same day, we met multiple times, and she gave us a lot of great tips to make our day perfect as well as get the most for our money. They decorated the mansion perfectly with everything we provided. They even supplied us with a hot chocolate bar as the guests left. I never once worried about anything on our wedding day, I knew I was in great hands with Conroy Catering at the Knowlton mansion. It truly was our dream day!! Look no further than the Knowlton Mansion =)

Absolutely amazing! Everything went according to plan. There were no hiccups or issues for our NYE wedding. The event manager was able to setup all of our decor where we wanted with no problem at all. The staff was extremely accomodating and the food was amazing. Cocktail hour and entrees were hot and delicious. I have received multiple compliments from guests saying how it was the best wedding food they have ever had. I couldn't say enough things about the staff and the entire experience. I am so happy I picked Knowlton for my wedding.

My husband and I fell in love with Knowlton Mansion from our first visit and our wedding there was absolutely perfect. Everyone we dealt with was responsive and fantastic. We worked with Lori through the planning process and she made it such an easy and nice experience. Eileen, our day of coordinator, and Dee, our wedding day attendant were incredible as well. Eileen made sure everything was set up exactly how we had pictured it and Dee was incredibly attentive during the wedding, making sure we had anything we could want.
Our wedding was gorgeous and exactly what we pictured, all of the guests commented on how unique the venue was and how delicious all of the food was. That, combined with the great staff who worked with us to make our wedding perfect truly made this a perfect day. The Knowlton Mansion is a hidden gem in Northeast Philadelphia. As soon as we walked through the doors we knew it was the perfect place to have our wedding reception. The Knowlton Mansion is full of history, has beautiful grounds including horses, and a very large ballroom made to feel as if it was original to the historical mansion. My husband and I were looking for something different (not a typical hotel ballroom) to host our wedding and the Knowlton Mansion was perfect. The service was also impeccable! Lori followed us through the entire process, answered all of our questions, and made our requests come alive. She paid wonderful attention to detail. We received many wonderful compliments from our guests (they RAVED about the food!) and are very thankful to everyone at the Knowlton Mansion for everything they did to make our day special. We highly recommend the Knowlton Mansion if you're looking for a unique place to host your wedding filled with much character and impeccable service.

We had a wonderful experience with Conroy Catering at Knowlton Mansion. Lori met with us several times to help us plan the day and was great to work with! She was super responsive to any questions and special requests (and there were many). The food was just as delicious when they were serving 6 of us for the tasting as when they served 160 guests the night of the wedding. We got so many compliments on the venue!! They even set up a s'mores station out back over a fire pit. I would highly recommend Knowlton Mansion to anyone looking in the Philadelphia area.

From the first time we went to visit Knowlton to the last minute of our reception, the venue and staff was nothing short of spectacular. The place speaks for itself with beautiful landscape, historic decor, and rustic feel. My husband and I loved that our guests had the entire place to ourselves on our special day- and that everyone was free to roam the grounds and building (the barn and horses were a big hit for the little ones!) . At night, the firepits in the back gave guests a nice break from dancing and drinking inside. Not only did Knowlton Mansion look impressive, but the food and drinks were delicious! Everyone raved about the cooking (and I have never been to a wedding with so many hot horderves.)
I think the biggest and most pleasant surprise for us was how friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating the staff was. Lori helped us throughout the months leading up to our wedding. She was always prompt to reply to our questions and seemed genuinely excited for us each time we saw her. Eileen, who was our event manager the night of the wedding, was equally as pleasant and was extremely helpful that night- making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. My maitre d, Dee, was also so helpful- constantly making sure my glass was full and that I didn't need anything. My husband, too, was impressed by the way the staff brought us appetizers and drinks while we took our bridal party pictures outside during cocktail hour. I have never been to a wedding where so many guests have gone up to the bride and groom to mention how nice and energetic the entire staff is. It really was such a happy day and the staff at Knowlton played such a big role in that!

My husband and I INSTANTLY fell in love with this venue the moment we stepped foot inside. We knew it would be where we were going to get married. They were VERY accommodating and easy to get a hold of whenever I had a question. They helped us stay with in our budget and showed us ways to keep costs down too. They made it super easy for me to have everything at one place, on such an amazing, beautiful night. Knowlton mansion had the most amazing staff I had ever had the pleasure of working with,all of my assistance from planning stages to the day were nothing short of amazing! Making it so easy for me to be able to bring in all my own other vendors. They thought of every little detail, and were extremely helpful with any specific requirements I had asked for. I can't say enough good things about this venue! I had my ceremony and reception here on 5/16/15 and it was magical. Jeannie was the manager who made sure everything went smoothly all day long. We had a bridal assistant named Dee who was the best! We never had an empty drink in our hands and she made sure we got to try all of the food which was delicious. I am still hearing compliments about the food and the service. The grounds were beautiful and they mansion felt like a fairytale. I worked with Lori to plan everything and that was such a pleasant experience. She was quick to respond when I had questions and was always so sweet.
I have not one negative thing to say. It was just the perfect day thanks to them! I would recommend this venue to anyone.

I would highly recommend the Knowlton Mansion. Our daughters wedding was held there in early May 2015. The ceremony was held outside: the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The reception inside was also beautiful. We dealt with Lori and she was fabulous- very helpful and accommodating. Our wedding coordinator that day was Eileen and she was equally fabulous. The food was amazing and the whole atmosphere of the mansion was total elegance. The guests are sill talking about it being the best wedding ever- even three weeks later!

The staff helped us ever step of the way and made everything for us effortless. The mansion was beautiful even with our rainy day and compared to similar venues we could not beat the price. There are too many good things to say about Knowlton from the atmosphere to the details in the space, but the most amazing part is what a great time everyone who went to our wedding had, but more importantly what a fantastic time my husband and I had. My husband and I had looked at dozens of venues before stumbling upon Knowlton Mansion through a message board discussing local venues, and it was the best thing that could have happened to us. After our initial visit, we knew immediately that this was the perfect venue.
Everyone we encountered through Knowlton and Conroy Catering were extremely professional, helpful, and accommodating. Lori was our rep throughout the booking process up until the day of. She was readily available to answer any questions and was extremely knowledgeable of not only Knowlton weddings, but any wedding process.
We chose a December wedding, which meant that the mansion was decorated with wreaths, garlands, trees, and other holiday decor. It really added to the space and made it that much more special. The history of the venue and all of the details throughout the mansion really added an amazing character that you really can't get in a typical wedding hall-type venue.
From the catering aspect, we chose the stations option, which was, in my opinion, the best option. Our guests loved having so many options to choose from for their meals and made the night go so much faster in terms of the flow of events. Everyone absolutely loved the food options and were amazed at the attentiveness of the entire staff. We also chose a cupcake tier instead of the normal wedding cake, and it was a huge hit.
On the day of the wedding, we had two staff members assigned to us, a maitre de and a coordinator. Our maitre de was Dee, and she did such a great job making sure that we had everything we needed throughout the day. Our coordinator was Jeannie. She was so amazing and accommodating for anything we needed throughout the night. She made sure that everything was taken care of exactly how we planned it. She and Dee were amazing coordinating with our vendors and made our evening absolutely perfect!
My husband and I would 100% recommend recommend Knowlton Mansion and Conroy Catering for any event!

I got married at Knowlton Mansion on October 18th and could not say nicer things about Conroy Catering! The venue itself is stunning - we got so many compliments on the uniqueness of the mansion and ballroom. We chose to do wine tasting in the wine cellar, which was a great touch! Conroy was fantastic to work with. Every member of their staff was so friendly and helpful. They made sure my husband and I got to enjoy the wedding and fulfilled every request and more. We are still getting compliments on the food, especially the cocktail hour. Seriously, I could not have asked for a better caterer!

I have been a wedding guest and had my wedding at Knowlton and I want to go back again. The ambiance is incredible, fantastic food, great value and excellent service. They are very flexible and let us add on time and we had our choice where in the night that could be (1 1/2 cocktail hour was great!) Our guests loved the wine cellar option and they are building a fire pit which should be really fun.
They offer a lot if different packages for your budget which we really liked. We did the bronze and still felt like we had great value. The hors d'ouvers flowed the whole cocktail hour, people loved the cake which was just the general cake nothing extra, the bar was always open. We got compliments on the service, food, ambiance, history and uniqueness of the venue. We really liked that guests could enjoy the rest of the house and outside patio when they needed a break from dancing. Its just a beautiful place to get married we could not be happier.
A few above and beyonds that are worth mentioning...They loaded up my parents entire car at the end of the night and fed and served guests that had arrived 30 minutes before our start time. That is some excellent customer service.
They worked well with all of our vendors as far as we heard and tried to accommodate everyone in the rain. Lori answered dozens of calls and emails from my mom and I she was always patient and informative.
A word to the wise...Do not book their recommended hotel Sheraton Four Points. This hotel was close to the venue but not worth it at all. Some guests missed the ceremony because their rooms were not clean at check in time. The staff was overwhelmed and did not give our our guest bags. Their whole block booking system is a mess. Don't take away from a great experience at Knowlton by going to this below average hotel.

We were beyond happy with our wedding at Knowlton Mansion. The staff is phenomenal. The sales consultant Lori is very sweet and happy to answer any questions. Our event managers were Eileen, Maureen, & Dee, and they all kept the show going and were so attentive to making sure our family members and we all got to try food. We were impressed that Knowlton takes the time to set up ceremony sites outside & inside if the weather is iffy that day. Also, the day before our wedding there was a thunderstorm that knocked down many trees. Knowlton had landscapers out at 6:30 am on our wedding day fixing everything! The staff was also kind enough to set up our pictures, guestbook, etc. and then to package everything up at the end of the night.
We had the bronze package, and our guests are still raving about the made-from-scratch food! They loved the butlered appetizers and their entrees. We had a tough crowd of Main Line foodies, & they were all beyond impressed. My husband and I tried all the appetizers, & we were so full in time for dinner!
We chose Knowlton as our venue because we figured if we had bad weather on our wedding day, it is still a beautiful venue on the inside. We lucked out with the perfect summer day, and it was absolutely gorgeous! Our guests loved hanging by the fire pit and on the porches outside and enjoyed exploring the mansion. Everything is so pretty that you do not need to do much with decor.
We found the staff at Conroy reasonable and down-to-earth. Their packages are so clear as to what’s included, and having the venue and caterer the same company definitely made things for us! All wedding venues/caterers are expensive, but compared to other venues charging the same price, we felt like we got an exceptional value with the good food, the beautiful venue, and the staff. The staff understands that you are paying them a lot of money and wants to make your day perfect for you. We are so happy!

My husband and I were really looking for something unique for our wedding venue. The knowlton mansion is a beautiful mansion home with a ballroom that is just exquisite, high ceiling, breathtaking chandelier, wooden beams and large enough dance floor. We had about 150 people at our wedding and I think that was the perfect number for the space. We used the outdoor ceremony space and got married on the grounds. The food at Conroy Catering was very, very good, we added a lot of different stations to our cocktail hour and used the wine vault downstairs for pictures and wine tastings/cigars during the wedding. The team at Knowlton Mansion/Conroy Catering was easy to work with and we were so happy that we chose this venue.

My husband and I got Married at Knowlton Mansion on May 31 2013. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. Our Consultant was Maria Amezola. She was the sweetest, most calming person we had met throughout the entire process of looking for a venue. She was one if the main reasons we chose to have our wedding at Knowlton Mansion. She made us feel safe and welcome. Like we were family and like she had a genuine interest in every aspect of our wedding. She was very organized and guided through the process of planning a wedding. The service was impeccable and every one of our guests commented on how delicious the food was. We were so happy that we chose Knowlton for a wedding. I always hear horror stories of how something disastrous happened of someone's wedding day...well, that did not apply to us! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and all thanks to the masterminds at Conroy Catering and Knowlton Mansion!

I would highly recommend Conroy Catering for any wedding. My husband and I had our wedding at the Glen Foerd Mansion, and Conroy catered our event. In a word, the food was exceptional. We chose the “Bronze” package, which was their least expensive package, and we were very satisfied. The butlered hors d'oeuvres and the bruschetta bar were absolutely amazing! These were definitely our favorites.
For their meals, our guests had the choice of chicken, eggplant, or salmon (there were other options in the Bronze package, as well), and all of the meals were delicious. We chose a red velvet cake, and that was a great choice too.
My husband has some prior experience working with a catering company, and he was very happy with the smoothness of how things unfolded with all of our different vendors (DJ, photo booth attendant, photographers). They worked very well together. Conroy Catering ensured that all of the vendors worked very cohesively together which made it almost seem as if all the different vendors were a part of Conroy Catering.
The wait staff and bridal attendant were very personable and took very good care of us. We could not have been happier with choosing Conroy Catering!

My husband and I were married on July 4th at the Glen Foerd Mansion, and if I could do it all over again I would! Conroy catering was absolutely fabulous during our wedding planning journey. Maria was our catering consultant and she went above and beyond for us in every way. They helped plan our day down to each and every intricate detail. The food is unparalleled to any wedding I have ever attended. If the mansion does not speak for itself in its beauty, the food will lure you in at each and every bite! I cannot thank the Conroy Catering team enough for helping Alex and myself plan our day, they made the happiest day of our lives one to remember forever.

Absolutely amazing! Conroy provided not only the catering for my wedding, but owns the venue, the Knowlton Mansion, where my reception was held. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. They assist you in every detail leading up to the wedding and are on-point the day of the wedding. We received so many compliments on the food and heard from many guests that it was the best wedding food they've ever had. I would recommend Conroy to anyone looking for an amazing reception and a wonderful wedding experience!

Ok, I probably drove Lori from Conroy Catering crazy with all of the emailed questions I sent for a year straight. She's amazing, and took my crazy like a champ. We got married at Knowlton Mansion, and it is and was absolutely gorgeous. You have free reign of the entire property when you get married there, so guests can spend any time before and during your ceremony and reception looking around. There is a really cool looking wine cellar that is amazing for pictures, and horse stables with three horses. The food was awesome, and the staff were all really helpful. The best part about Knowlton, though, is that it is so beautiful, you don't have to do much in the way of decorating. We kept our flowers really simple, and Knowlton puts out really pretty candles and lanterns all around the space. We are so happy we picked this space to get married in!

Our reception was at Knowlton Mansion in August 2013. We could not be happier with how everything turned out. Maria was amazing with all of the planning and details leading up to the wedding. She sent helpful reminders when we needed to provide info or final decisions. Very very responsive and helpful. Accommodated tweaks we wanted and really helped us customize the reception to what we wanted. For the week of and day of coordination, Eileen was amazing as well. We dropped off items to be set up and everything was arranged as we wanted it and had described. All the wait staff made sure that I and the Mr. ate and were able to enjoy the food and drinks we'd so carefully thought through. At the end of the night, the staff had everything broken down and boxed up for us before the bridal party could even turn around. Outstanding service, incredible food. We did the espresso bar which was a great treat to accompany dessert. Not to mention that Knowlton and the grounds themselves were gorgeous in the summertime.

Conroy Catering provided my wedding with some of the most delicious food I've every tasted! All of my guests commented on how amazing everything was from the appetizers, to the salad, to the main courses and cake. We also had such a great time at the private food tasting that we had for our wedding. Knowlton Mansion had a beautiful setup for our tasting and the chef even came out to ask us if we had any questions or if we wanted any of the food prepared differently.
Maria at Conroy Caterers was so helpful during the entire process and she answered all of our questions and made us feel taken care of. Thank you Conroy for our amazing wedding at Glen Foerd Mansion!

My husband and I got married at the Glen Foerd Mansion in July, and were extremely pleased to have chosen Conroy Catering as our caterers.
We chose a promotional package that included valet parking, food, alcohol, the cake and staff for a fixed price per guest. Our package had fewer choices than some of the others Conroy offered, but that worked for us as it made it easier to pick dishes and to track our costs as our guest count changed.
Maria, our main point of contact at Conroy, was wonderful to work with. She was always on top of things, was incredibly nice and wonderfully patient. Since my husband and I live in London, we ended up communicating with her mostly over email, and she was always very responsive.
We had both our ceremony and reception at Glen Foerd, and Maria also acted as the event planner for the entire day. She worked with us on things like where we wanted the ceremony held, how and when the toasts were conducted, and how we would be introduced. We also had a practice run-through with another Conroy staffer a few days before the wedding to go through how we would walk down the aisle and how the introductions would take place. Those kinds of things seem simple enough but doing it beforehand allowed us to work out a few kinks before the actual day.
The day of the wedding went without a hitch and the staff were fantastic. By the time we arrived, everything in the dining room had already been set up. We cousin and I made the floral centerpieces and the staff took charge of putting them on the tables. The event manager was great and kept things moving along on time. The young woman assigned to take care of me and my husband was so nice and always made sure we had something to drink and if we needed anything she got it for us. Our guests all raved about the food and cake.
We’re very happy with the service Conroy provided and would definitely recommend them to other couples!

I had my wedding at Knowlton Mansion and it was absolutely fabulous. People are still talking about how wonderful the food was and how attentive servers where at the wedding. I had no complaints to the team and the wedding planner I worked with there. They were extremely attentive to my needs and made sure we were happy every step of the way! I would recommend them to anyone and plan to use them for any parties I may host in the future!

My now-husband and I held our wedding reception at Glen Foerd in August 2013. We are extremely pleased with our decision! We walked into our wedding planning envisioning something simple, and Glen Foerd initially seemed opulent; we also worried our intimate party (we ended up with 76 guests) would look lost in the conservatory. We finally chose Glen Foerd because 1. venues in Center City were still a 45 minute drive from the U City church in rush hour traffic; 2. everything, including alcohol and the delicious cake, was included in Conroy's competitive price; 3. the area by the river provided the outdoor feel we wanted while the mansion allowed all of our guests to eat indoors in air conditioning, which was a difficult combination to find. Lori was wonderful throughout the planning process--organized and responsive--and helped us with various substitutions even the week of the wedding. Our guests loved the food, even one guest who is a retired food critic. Instead of feeling lost in the huge mansion and conservatory we had plenty of space to spread out, which comes in especially handy when there are small children in the party. Those working the reception were laid back, accommodating and efficient. Thank you all for the great night!

Conroy Catering is the exclusive caterer for Glen Foerd Mansion which is where we had our June wedding in PA. They are a little more expensive than other caterers but they overall package they provide is exceptional and well worth the money. You can customize it to everyone's liking. The food was amazing. Everyone raved about it from cocktail hour, to our sit-down dinner to the cake and flambe dessert station. Everything exceeded our expectations including the staff who were just incredible people. They catered to our every need and made sure we got to taste all of the food at our wedding. We did not miss a thing. They paid so much attention to detail and it showed in the end product. We could not have asked for more.

Our wedding was held at Glen Foerd Mansion and Conroy Catering managed the site and our catering. The usually stressful process was made easy and pleasurable by our contact, Maria Sampera, and our guests were in awe of the venue. It did rain on our day, but the mansion provided more than enough room for guests to wander and explore during cocktail hour, and relax on the big porch during dessert. The food was outstanding, service was impeccable...we wish we could do it again!

The Knowlton Mansion is amazing! For starters, it is a beautiful venue. The grounds are gorgeous too which makes for great photos. The staff are courteous, friendly, and professional. They attended to my every need. They made sure myself and the bridal party all got hors d'oeuvres even though we were taking pictures during cocktail hour. The food was excellent - everyone raved about it! The cake was great too. There is not one bad word I can say about the Knowlton. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely choose the Knowlton Mansion!

I can't thank Elise and Matt, and the rest of the staff, at the Ballroom of Bridgemen's Hall enough for making my wedding absolutely perfect!!! Elise and Matt went the extra mile to make my special day even more special. And the food was AMAZING - the carved filet is out of this world. We had our wedding reception at Glen Foerd and were extremely satisfied with the level of service from Conroy Catering. We initially decided to go with them after a visit with Maria Sampera. She was so professional and easily assuaged any concerns we had and really just made us feel very comfortable with Conroy's ability to execute our reception. We continued working with her throughout the entire planning process and she was very responsive and detail oriented. As a bride who was DIYing a lot and without a wedding planner, Maria was such a huge help - I honestly do not think things would have gone nearly as well as they did without all of her help! Even when things were handed over to the event manager, all directions were followed to a "T." I relied on them to set up the majority of my reception decorations and everything looked flawless when we arrived from the church. I knew the second I walked in the door that we picked the right venue and caterer for our winter wedding.
Alice, the Bridal Attendant was also great on the day of the wedding. She kept us with a full drink and food the entire night and also came to the rescue when we couldn't get my gown bustled.
All of our guests were extremely complimentary of the food - especially the hors d'oeuvres - the little spinach phyllo dough bites are AMAZINGLY addictive!
