The King & Prince was our wedding venue this past October, and everything from the service and location to the food and responsiveness was phenomenal. We can’t recommend Sarah, the event coordinator, highly enough. She worked within our budget and helped bring our dream to life. Our guests who stayed had wonderful experiences, and we felt cared for throughout the entire weekend. The Best Day!
We had our wedding at the King & Prince and it was easily the best decision we made. Sarah and her team made the entire process as enjoyable and stress free as possible. Every detail was thought out and handled. The food and drinks were amazing, everything looked just like we planned, and we felt so cared for and special. When planning our wedding the first thing we knew we wanted was a resort all our guests could stay at, have a vacation, and throw a wedding all in one location. we loved EVERYTHING about the king and prince. Being from New Hampshire this was a destination wedding for us and all of our guests. I compared resorts all along the little islands of the east coast from North Carolina to Florida and King and Prince stuck out in so many ways! They offered SO much in their wedding package. I thought the pricing was good, food was amazing, accommodations 10/10! I could NOT have planned this wedding without their in house coordinator Sarah Woodward! She is a ROCKSTAR. Planning from NH was definitely tricky but she has an answer for everything under the sun and recommendations. 6 months later and our guests are still raving about the food, the stunning venue, their room accommodations, and what an incredible weekend it was all together!The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort's reply:

My husband and I held our wedding reception at The King and Prince in September 2024. We worked with Sarah for almost a year to plan our wedding and she was amazing! Sarah is very knowledgeable, responsive and eager to help in anyway. I felt very confident going into the wedding weekend that our vision was going to come to life and that is exactly what happened! Our friends and family continue to rave about how incredible the entire weekend was. We had a lot of out of town guests that stayed on property and everyone had a fabulous experience! During our reception, Sarah and her team were very attentive to us and our family. Everyone felt that they were being taken care of all night long and we are so grateful for the amazing weekend we had!The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort's reply:

The best day of our lives!
We couldn’t be more thrilled with our experience at the king and prince. Sarah was our day of coordinator but went above and beyond those duties leading up to the big day. Every single one of our guests was floored with the service, the ambiance, and the little details throughout the ceremony and reception. My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at The King & Prince in June 2024. I grew up near St. Simon's, and my husband and I spent a lot of time there while we were dating. When we toured reception venues on SSI, The King & Prince was the clear option. The K&P team made it SO easy to design a reception that was personal, beautiful, and thoughtful. From the food to the set up to the bar to every staff member, it was excellent. Special shoutout to Sarah, who was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and encouraging throughout wedding planning.
Another added bonus was The King & Prince serving as a central location throughout the weekend. Our families and bridesmaids stayed on-site, as did many guests. The location was very central for guests who rented AirbNbs or stayed at other hotels.
For context, we had 175 guests with food stations. The seating was tight, but Sarah made it work beautifully! We also had an outside wedding coordinator to manage the overall schedule since our ceremony was at a different location.

King and Prince is the best venue for someone looking for an upscale beach wedding. Our ceremony was held on the Oceanfront Lawn. The ocean in the background is a breathtaking backdrop. Reception was under the tent on the Atlantic Court Lawn. Since you are right on the water the ocean breeze keeps the guests cool! King and Prince has an entire package you can read online to know exactly what is included & what they provide! K&P provides an event coordinator & a day of concierge team. There is a cute wedding cottage the bride and bridesmaids can use to get ready in, all they ask is that you buy food through them which also makes your life easier! They do a bridal brunch and it was so good- mini biscuits, fruit, baked goods. The wedding day package includes a complimentary oceanfront king room for the bride and groom and a complimentary two bedroom villa for two nights. We used the villa for two couples in our wedding party & also it was a great place for the groomsman to get ready! Leading up to the wedding Sarah Woodward, our event coordinator, made the planning process so effortless! She was so helpful, and easy to get in contact with! She answered any questions I had! When you go for menu tasting you decide on all the details of your day- it made me feel so at ease about everything! I mean they even ask if you want to have a private cocktail hour with your husband before going into reception! After the ceremony it was so nice for my husband and I to take a breather/chat before going into the reception! If you've ever eaten at K&P you already know the food is so good! Our wedding guests raved about the food!!! I highly recommend the shrimp and grits bar! Picking a menu was hard because the options are endless and everything was delicious- what a great problem to have!!!
The service K&P provides is truly TOP TIER!!!! They have dedicated staff that take care of the bride and groom during the wedding! Whatever we needed! When we got back to our room they had leftover food waiting for us! They even saved some of our cocktail napkins, cigars from the cigar bar, and bar cups! Oh, and they make you custom cups for the bar!! We got our crest put on them and they turned out so cute!! The day after the wedding, all of our decor that we brought was already packaged up and ready for us to pick up. They tell you they don't want you to do anything and they truly mean it!! AND they think of everything, during the reception the mosquitos got really bad..... K&P staff started passing out bug spray! As a bride, is it SO nice to not worry or think of all the what ifs, K&P does this for you!!! It was supposed to rain the morning of our wedding & I rented furniture. I was very stressed we weren't going to be able to use what I rented. Somehow Sarah made it happen for us! The staff truly go above and beyond!! My husband and I have been joking about having an anniversary party at K&P next year, because we had so much fun!! I don't know of another venue where you can get this kind of service, they made our day so special!!
I rented: table cloths, dance floor, & the lawn furniture, everything else pictured K&P provided (tables, chairs for ceremony & dinner, band stage, table numbers, tent, cake stand). However, you don't have to rent anything because K&P has it all even candles. They butler passed the appetizers during cocktail hour, which makes your event just feel more upscale!The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort's reply:

The King and Prince was truly a perfect place to get married! They made all of my dreams come true! Our ceremony was on the beautiful ocean front lawn and reception was held in the Delegal room adjacent to the lawn! I loved the whole atmosphere of the King and Prince! Dionne was wonderful to work with throughout the entire wedding process! I planned our wedding while living in California and Dionne was always available, professional and friendly to work with! She made sure that every detail of our wedding was exactly how I wanted! The majority of our wedding guests stayed at the King and Prince for the weekend and everyone was so impressed with the entire hotel atmosphere, staff, and food! It was so nice to give our guests a beach getaway at the same time as celebrating our wedding! We received so many great compliments and and have so many happy memories from the weekend! We cannot thank the entire staff of the King and Prince enough! -

King & Prince is a magical place to get married. Of course we picked it for many reasons, not only is it directly on the beach, the resort itself is just beautiful. Even the rain backup room directly overlooks to ocean. Also, the staff are just lovely. Scarlett is so sweet and helpful:) She was made for her job! The food is delicious too! Also, our family and friends loved having the option to rent a villa and/or house on the property. Super convenient! Highly recommend! Thanks K&P! -

The entire planning process was wonderful and the team accommodated all of our requests!! We mainly worked with Scarlett and Shauntae who were WONDERFUL and so sweet. The venue was absolutely stunning and the resort was such a fun location for our guests - this was a destination wedding so all of the accommodation options were great! And the FOOD!! I’ve gotten so many compliments on the southern feast. I could not recommend the king and prince enough! -

Our experience with the King & Prince and Brittany’s team was nothing short of amazing! From our first phone call to the day of our wedding, the King & Prince staff did everything they could to make our day everything we ever imagined! We had a specific vision and with the guidance of our coordinator, Brittany it came to fruition. We had to go to our rain plan due to weather, but it ended up being more beautiful than we could have planned.
For us, the best thing about working with the King & Prince was how everything was centralized! We didn’t have to bring in a ton of outside vendors/decor and we were able to make decisions with ease. The options provided to us by the King & Prince were elegant, timeless, and classic. Brittany also did a wonderful job coordinating with any of the outside vendors we did have to bring in and made it easy for us as the couple! We didn’t have to worry about any of those details!
One of our favorite parts of the whole process was our tasting day! The tasting experience was intimate and FUN! During this time we also picked our decor, walked the venue space, and connected with Brittany. Because of how wonderful our tasting was, we knew the big day would be amazing!
I without reservation, highly recommend doing your wedding at the King & Prince and letting them take care of you so that you can enjoy your special day!The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort's reply:

The coordinator is one-of-a-kind, very experienced and professional. We enjoyed working with her and she did a spectacular job on all fronts, (including bustling my dress)! Due to the hotel booking several other events/functions the week of, the night before and the night of our reception, we feel there could have been some improvements with other staff.
