We recently celebrated our wedding at Inn at Willow Grove, and it was truly everything we dreamed of and more. From start to finish every detail was handled with such care by Catherine, Lisa, and their entire crew, making the experience seamless and stress-free.
The property itself is absolutely stunning. Its elegant, peaceful, and perfectly suited for such a special occasion. The accommodations were top-notch, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and comfortable everything was.
What truly set this experience apart was the staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The service was exceptional, and it felt like they anticipated our needs before we even had to ask.
The food was incredible as well! The striploin and chicken dishes were cooked to perfection and you HAVE to try their brunch French toast brick.
Every detail came together flawlessly and we could not have asked for a more perfect place to start this new chapter.

Our wedding at The Inn at Willow Grove was nothing short of unforgettable. The venue itself is stunning—rich with history, charm, and a sense of timelessness that you simply can’t find anywhere else. But for my wife and me, it was even more than that. This place has woven itself into the story of our relationship (it’s where we had our first date, got engaged, and celebrated our son’s 1st birthday), and celebrating our wedding here felt like coming full circle.
From the moment we made the decision to return home to the Inn to celebrate with our closest family and friends, we breathed a sigh of relief, and a large part of the wedding stress was removed. The entire team, especially the Director of Private Events, Catherine, and Food and Beverage Director, Wednesday, went above and beyond to make the planning process easy—even as we planned from five states away. The day was seamless and joyful. Every detail was handled with such care that we were able to be fully present with our family, friends, and each other.
Staying in the cottages at the Inn made the experience even more magical. They’re charming and comfortable—exactly what you want during such a special weekend. The guest services staff was incredible, delivering warm beignets and French press coffee to us each morning and offering thoughtful turndown service in the evenings (the jam-filled macadamia nut chocolate cups were amazing). These small touches added such warmth and hospitality that we felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay-the epitome of southern hospitality. In hustle and bustle of wedding activities, sipping coffee together in rocking chairs on the porch of the Schoolhouse cottage added a layer of calm and is one of our favorite memories.
The historic grounds provided the most beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and photos—every corner feels like it carries its own story, and now, one of those stories is ours. Walking down the aisle and saying our vows, enjoying an awesome cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres, sharing a wonderful meal, and dancing the night away in a place that already meant so much to us made the day even more meaningful. We left with full hearts and memories we’ll treasure for a lifetime, as did our family and friends.
Our guests also loved the Mill House Spa and pool. Several family members treated themselves to massages and raved about the experience — the perfect way to unwind before the big day. Others enjoyed lounging by the pool. Knowing our loved ones were being cared for added even more joy to the weekend.
If you’re looking for a venue that brings together beauty, history, a truly special atmosphere, and the most thoughtful and hospitable team, The Inn at Willow Grove is incomparable. We couldn’t imagine having started this new chapter anywhere else. The only problem—we didn’t want to leave.
We’d like to extend a special thanks to David and Charlene Scibal, Matt, Wednesday, Catherine, Michele, Lisa, Andrew, Heather, Nikki, Ray, Kelsie, Michelle, Mrs. Barbara, and every single staff member that went above and beyond for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -

Perfection from Start to Finish!
Our wedding at The Inn at Willow Grove was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with a warmth and genuine kindness that made us feel like family. Every single member of their team went above and beyond, not just for us, but for every guest! People are still talking about how special the entire weekend felt.
A huge part of that perfection was thanks to our wedding planner, Catherine, whose attention to detail and flawless execution were unmatched. She anticipated needs we didn’t even know we had, kept everything running effortlessly, and created an experience that felt personal, elegant, and truly unforgettable. Her calm, caring presence made the entire planning process a joy, and the big day ran smoother than we ever imagined! Just incredible!
The Inn at Willow Grove delivers an atmosphere of charm, comfort, and heart. If you want a wedding that feels intimate, elevated, and absolutely unforgettable, this is the place. The Inn at Willow Grove is, without question, an exceptional wedding venue in every possible way. Yes, the property itself is breathtaking, especially in the fall, but in a state like Virginia, beautiful backdrops are not hard to find. What truly sets this venue apart, and what makes it worthy of every accolade, is the people.
From the moment we booked, the staff at the Inn was professional, communicative, and unbelievably supportive. Even though I know they were slammed with weddings and mid-week events the month of ours, they made me feel like my wedding was the only one on their calendar. They brought my vision to life with care, patience, and genuine enthusiasm. They answered every single question I had (and I had many!) and worked with me on every detail, no matter how small. I always felt heard, understood, and taken care of.
On the day of, everything was seamless. The team moved with calm confidence, handled logistics before I even knew they existed, and created an environment where my family, friends, and I could simply enjoy every moment. That level of attentiveness and professionalism is rare, and it’s what truly elevates this venue to an award-winning experience.
I can’t wait to return to the Inn again and again, not only because it will forever hold one of my most precious memories, but because of the extraordinary people who make this place what it is. We had only stayed at Willow Grove once before and loved it. So when we started looking for a beautiful and romantic, we immediately thought of Willow Grove. Our cottage was lovely and had a beautiful view, both front and back. Every staff member was so helpful, especially Lisa and Michelle. We dined in the restaurant a few times and that too was outstanding.
Although we're over 7 hours away, we can't wait to return.

We had a beautiful wedding this past weekend at Willow Grove. It was the first venue we toured and we knew it was the one - it's gorgeous, guests can stay on-site, and the food/drinks were top tier. The staff really made it, though - everybody was so unbelievably kind and accommodating (Catherine, Ray, Alexis, Michelle, Jessica, Don, Lisa, Gabriel, Cody, Steven, and more I know I am forgetting). I don’t even know where to start with the Inn at Willow Grove! Every bride deserves to say that everything about their wedding was perfect and that’s exactly what the Inn did for us! The property is stunning and offers so much for any brides vision! The staff are AMAZING and Catherine is the most organized and on the ball day of coordinator a bride could ask for! That might be her title but she does so much more for her brides! I visited a lot of other locations on our wedding journey but nothing holds a candle to the Inn at Willow Grove.The Inn at Willow Grove's reply:

I would highly recommend the Inn at Willow Grove for any special event. In my search for the perfect venue, I happened upon this gem. From the first moment that I toured the venue and talked to Michelle I knew that this place was perfect for my wedding ceremony. It was so perfect that I booked my date just a few days after touring the property.
Throughout the year leading up to my wedding Liz helped with all the details and kept planning on track. She did not leave any details unattended. She was also very responsive to my many questions and requests to come back and see the venue or the cottages. There was never a time that she was not gracious and accommodating. The planning and help before the ceremony was top notch, but that isn’t even the best part.
The weekend of the ceremony could not have gone any better. There are so many details that describe the Willow Grove team’s commitment to making my wedding special and smooth. The check in process was smooth and efficient. It took just a few minutes and we were walked to our cottage by a team member. They settled our bags in and made sure we had everything we needed before they left. My rehearsal dinner food was amazingly delicious. The party raved about the food and service. Liz was there for the event, made sure we had what we needed and helping keep the dinner moving. Liz walked us through the rehearsal, making sure we were prepared for the most important day in me and Dakota’s life.
On the day of the ceremony, we woke to coffee service left at the door to our cottages. This included beignets that were as good as any I’ve ever eaten. My aunt, who doesn’t drink coffee was sent tea service instead. This was repeated each morning of our stay. Their specialized care also included turndown service each night. Turndown service included a small treat left on the nightstand. These small details made the wedding party and those staying on site feel pampered and taken care of.
My wedding ceremony and reception could not have been any better. Liz ensured that all vendors were helped with their set up and took care of all the small, personal details that were special to Dakota and I. She even went above and beyond to help me get my perfect sunset wedding photos, which were so important to me. She even helped me include my fur babies for our big day. My friends and family still talk about how good the food was at my reception and how beautiful the venue was.
I cannot capture in this review how amazing the Willow Grove venue and team are. I will be eternally grateful to this amazing group for all of the efforts that went into making my weekend and day special. I highly recommend the Inn at Willow Grove for any event you might be planning. You will not be disappointed.The Inn at Willow Grove's reply:

From our first interaction with the Inn until checking out from our wedding weekend, the service was consistently unmatched! It started when we were visiting another venue in the area and decided to stop by the Inn for lunch without an appointment. We were introduced to Wednesday and she dropped everything she was doing to chat with us about having our wedding at the property. We were completely blown away by her service and the time she spent answering all our questions – the service we received that day was better than any potential venue we visited (where we had scheduled appointments). This incredible level of service we received from the staff at the Inn was a common theme in every interaction.
Our next interaction was with Michele. We made an appointment to come show our parents the property, and Michele also rolled out the red carpet for our visit. She answered the questions of our entire family and made sure we had a champagne toast. Throughout the entire planning process, Michele quickly addressed all our questions related to the rooms and we are truly grateful for her kindness and assistance! Quick note on the rooms, they are all stunning – our guests loved them!
Lastly, but certainly not least is the amazing Liz! We first met Liz at our food tasting and she made sure the visit was personalized and accommodated all our crazy requests! Liz was an absolute pleasure to work with and brought such a wealth of knowledge to how to make our day perfect. On our wedding weekend, Liz was running around making sure all the logistics and stuff in the background was going smoothly, but she also made sure to check-in on us and ensure we were as happy as possible.
Everyone we encountered at the Inn was absolutely incredible. We wish we knew them all by name, but the people at check-in, the butlers, the servers, even the maintenance crews, EVERYONE was incredible. The Inn will forever be a special place for us and we cannot wait to be back for anniversaries and vacations!

We got married at the Inn at Willow Grove in October 2018, with 100 guests. It was the perfect venue for our wedding, and our guests agree!
The grounds are impeccably maintained, and the rooms (while expensive) are amazing (there are heated bathroom floors!) We had our rehearsal dinner at the Inn at Willow Grove, and much of the bridal party stayed on-site, so it felt almost like a "destination wedding."
We worked with Gabrielle throughout the planning process, but unexpectedly switched to working with Michele just about a week before the wedding. I was nervous about a switch so late in the process, but Michele exceeded all of our expectations in the days leading up to the wedding and the day itself. Between Michele, Lynn, and Wednesday, I felt attended to and taken care of throughout the wedding weekend.
Having good food at our wedding was a priority for my husband and me, and we are so glad we picked the Inn at Willow Grove. Our guests are still talking about the dinner during the wedding itself and the rehearsal dinner. So unheard of for weddings!
We loved our experience with the Inn at Willow Grove and are looking forward to coming back for celebrations! -

We had the most amazing day here and couldn't have picked a more special place to tie the knot. Guests feel like they're driving to the middle of nowhere, then are surprised to find a charming, historic inn surrounded by adorable luxury cottages and the most beautiful gardens. The events coordinator Gabrielle could not have been any better to work with, as was the entire staff. From the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch, the entire weekend was perfect. The Inn at Willow Grove now holds such a special place in our hearts, and was the most beautiful place imaginable to get married. -

Susan Sent on 06/27/2018We had my daughter's wedding reception at the Inn at Willow Grove this past weekend. I am a tough critic and it is very unusual for me to give 5 stars to any business. However, I had to plan and manage this wedding reception from out of state and Gabrielle, the Director of Private Events, and Lynn, the Event Manager, made it easy. Gabrielle was very responsive and flexible and always had answers or suggestions when we had questions. She also helped coordinate the vendors the day of the wedding and I was able to relax and enjoy the day. The venue is beautiful and the service is outstanding. The food is amazing and the guests kept commenting that it was one of the best (some said "the best") wedding they had ever attended. -

Whitney Sent on 12/31/2017The Inn at Willow Grove is beyond spectacular. The grounds are beautiful year round. After deciding to have my wedding here, I was informed that they were breaking ground to add more rooms and a bigger spa to the property. More of my guests were able to stay at the Inn due to this expansion.
Willow Grove provides the full package. I was able to book my food and beverage through them, hire Gabrielle as my wedding coordinator and keep all of my events on the grounds. The chef worked with us to accommodate food allergies and created a special menu for our rehearsal dinner based off our wants/needs.
I have no regrets for choosing this venue. All of my guests loved the food, staff and atmosphere. I personally loved Gabrielle, the Director of Private Events, because she is so kind, extremely knowledgeable and lends a helping hand when trouble happens.

Erica Sent on 04/11/2017There is one simple word to describe the Inn at Willow Grove: WOW! The venue if beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent! All of these combine into making your stay and wedding at Willow Grove a real EXPERIENCE!
I worked with Willow Grove for over a year to plan my perfect wedding. Gabrielle, the events coordinator, is truly a gem as she was always patient with me and my decisions. My fiancé and I could not decide on the style and size of wedding we wanted. We bounced from 75 to 30 to 15. Gabrielle was able to give us options for all these scenarios and was invariably able to accommodate exactly what we wanted. We ended up planning a small garden wedding with 15 guests and a sit-down dinner at The Chef’s Table in The Vintage Restaurant. The gardens and grounds were so beautiful! Your photographer will have no trouble finding the perfect spots for first looks, portraits, family photos, etc. The restaurant is spectacular, and the service is excellent. We were able to do a special menu based on their current spring menu, and the timing of courses and servings were perfect.
The best part of getting married at the Inn at Willow Grove is the Inn itself. My fiancé and I love coming here because it feels like a home away from home. Delightful touches like tea in the evenings with turn service and beignets is the morning with coffee make your stay so comforting and relaxing. Your troubles simply cannot follow you when you stay here! Even though my fiancé and I were the only guests staying at the Inn for the wedding, we felt like we were the only people there. The staff is so attentive and willing to accommodate your every need; you will surely be back for future stays.
I highly recommend that if you are interested in getting married at Willow Grove, spend the night and eat in the restaurant! The charm and service speak for themselves, and this Inn will undoubtedly provide the perfect venue for your Virginia Wedding.The Inn at Willow Grove's reply:
