We had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer and other staff members at the Heritage Hotel for our wedding. Jennifer was always available to answer any questions I had along the way and gave us a tour of the venue multiple times. We had our rehearsal dinner there and they set up the room beautifully. The food for both the rehearsal and wedding were delicious and there was something for everyone to enjoy. They even offer centerpieces for the tables and to set up and break down decor and assign you a maitre de for the day of that is always getting you drinks and making sure you're comfortable. The venue is so beautiful and made for the best pictures! It's also super convenient that the ceremony, reception, after party, and hotel are all in the same location so there's no need to worry about traveling. The only down fall was that we lost power the night before the wedding for a couple hours and was surprised they didn't have a generator. But would definitely recommend having your wedding at the Heritage as it's a beautiful place with professional staff who are guaranteed to make you feel so important on your special day.

From day one this venue was amazing to work with. Jennifer did not pressure us to choose the Heritage, she actually recommended seeing more just to make sure this is what we wanted! And it was. The grounds are beautiful, getting married in the stone garden was such a unique entrance and so beautiful, and everyone loved the food!! We had out of town guests and they made a long weekend out of the wedding, used the pool, the close coffee shop and the golf! We LOVED the Heritage!!

Candice in sales was a joy to work with throughout our wedding process. She was communicative, straightforward, and accommodating. During the wedding weekend, hotel staff on hand were kind, easy to access, and fully on top of everything they had agreed to do to make our weekend what we wanted it to be. The garden room and outdoor space adjacent to it served as a perfect venue for our Indian haldi/sangeet celebration for roughly 130 guests.

Many of our wedding guests took advantage of a room block to stay at the hotel during their trip, and they were all very pleased with the accommodations and even eager to come back. The long hallways and numerous lounges offered ample opportunities for socializing, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

We highly recommend the Heritage Hotel as a venue for your wedding weekend!

The Heritage has always had a special place in my heart because it is located in my hometown and I knew having my wedding there would make it that much more special. My Husband and I got married on September 30th and can't stop talking about how having everything there (ceremony, reception, after party, lodging) was the best decision we ever made. The hotel and grounds are just absolutely beautiful and the timbers reception room is simply breathtaking. But what made it even more special are the staff. Jennifer was incredible leading up to the day with being responsive, keeping things on track and answering any questions we had, and our coordinator on the day, Kara, was unbelievable. We didn't even need a wedding planner! She made sure everything was set up perfectly and that the flow of the day was exactly how we wanted it to be. She is such a wonderful person and we feel so thankful to have met her. All of our guests raved about the food and how helpful and friendly all of the staff were. They also still talk about how amazing of a wedding it was. You can't beat the easy flow with going from the ceremony at the stone garden, to the cocktail hour room with the outdoor patio, and then simply moving to the next room to the reception, and only needing to go up to your room at the end of the night! It was a dream day and there is absolutely nothing we would change about it. If you want an unforgettable and special wedding with everything in one place, you must book the Heritage!

My husband and I got married at Heritage Hotel on 09/16/22 and could not recommend this venue enough. It was so convenient to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and hotel all at one location. The bridal suite was perfect for the bridal party to get ready in and the groomsmen had a great time golfing and got ready in a hotel room as well. The staff were all amazing. Jennifer helped keep us organized and answered all our questions leading up to the day, Kara was amazing and so helpful the night of the wedding, and the waitstaff and bartenders were so much fun and kept the party going all night (special shout-out to Lexi). We spent the rest of our weekend at Heritage Hotel and had the time of our life in the Tavern with the best bartenders (Quon, Craig, Steve, and Lauren). Overall, we 10/10 recommend and wish we could do it all over again!

My husband and I just got married here on May 21, 22. We would recommend this venue to others. It was perfect for us, We love the rusty country vibe. We had a lot of guests from out of state so it made it very simple for everyone. Not to mention the guys did a golf tournament the day before. Jen was terrific, the meetings we had were very detailed. If something wasn’t going to be a good idea, she would tell you but also make recommendations to make it work. She was very responsive with all my emails. I greatly appreciate everything!

We had our dream wedding at the Heritage Memorial Day weekend. It had the rustic look we wanted and was an all in one experience. We were able to have hair and make up done in the executive suite, the ceremony was in their stone garden (with a backup room if it rained), indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, and an all wooden reception room with a gorgeous stone fire place. It was great being able to walk back up to your hotel room at the end or hit the after party at their tavern restaurant in the hotel lobby. Our guest kept complimenting how they loved that everything was in one spot. Some guests came early to use the pools or go golfing to enjoy more of the long weekend. The vineyard and golf course were a great spot for pictures! The staff was so attentive and quick to answer questions. Couldn’t have asked for an easier planning process with them. We also used almost every vendor they were affiliated with and they were all great as well!

We chose the Heritage because its breathtaking woodwork & fireplaces throughout. The property
is gorgeous. We also loved the convienece of having our wedding at a hotel and Im glad we chose to do so because we were able to celebrate with our guests all weekend long. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing! Everything about the heritage was magical and wonderful!

We cannot recommend the Heritage Hotel enough! We had our wedding there this past July! First of all, we were a Covid couple who had to postpone our wedding from 2020 to 2021. The staff, especially Jennifer, were so helpful with moving our wedding date that it made a stressful time in our lives so much easier. Overall, this venue has everything you could want! Our guests stayed at the hotel and enjoyed their stay as you get all the amenities at the hotel like use of the gym and pools. We had our ceremony in the stone garden on the most perfect day! It’s a very unique and beautiful space! The timbers room for the reception is very grand and rustic, but also has a cozy feel. The food was also amazing! We did the buffet stations with steak and chicken, mash potato and pasta bar and more! Everyone loved the food. We also had a donut wall! We had the best day ever and it was all thanks to the amazing staff! Shout out to Sean, Della, and Faith! They were fantastic with helping to make everything go smoothly. We also had breakfast the next morning at the hotel which was so nice not to worry about going somewhere. You will not regret having your event at the Heritage Hotel!

My Wife and I are splitting up vendor reviews and I was excited to write the review for Heritage Hotel! From the months leading up to the wedding until the day of Heritage was nothing but wonderful! As we approached our wedding state guidelines for COVID continued to change. Heritage did a great job keeping us updated with what that meant for us, as well as being flexible as we made adjustments to headcount, locations of cocktail hour/DJ etc. always coaching us through the experience. Next on the night before the wedding there was a large storm and the power went out throughout the hotel as we were all hanging out the Heritage Hotel Bar (the Tavern). The Heritage Staff was wonderful and actually moved us from the bar into the cocktail hour room (which still had some emergency lighting), setting us up with candles and allowing us to have almost an impromptu pre party! Finally on the day of the wedding we had to transition from being mostly outside to inside due to rain, and everything went off without a hitch! Overall we would highly recommend Heritage and we were happy to go through this experience with them!

Heritage Hotel was the absolute best decision we could have made for our wedding. The moment we stepped on site during our initial tour we knew it was the place for us. Timbers is a stunning room and the vineyard and Stone Garden added so much variety and amazing scenery to what was already a beautiful day. Not only is the venue itself spectacular but the staff was out of this world helpful and a pleasure to work with! From planning all the details with Jennifer to Stephanie making sure our day went perfectly we had so much support that I never doubted that our day would be flawless. In fact, on our wedding day our cake never arrived from an outside bakery and Stephanie got it handled immediately between repeated calls to the bakery all the way to sending staff to buy us a cake at the last minute just so we didn’t do without. My husband and I loved every single second of working with this venue and it’s staff. I can’t say enough good things about them and they will always hold a special place in our hearts for all they did for us.

Booking the Heritage Hotel was the best first decision we made in our wedding planning process. Jennifer has always been the kindest person to us (as well as Barri), answering every and all questions we had, being SO flexible with the timeline and guest count because of COVID, and just went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of the days leading up to and the night of the wedding. My family members and friends RAVED about the food, particularly the steak and salmon, saying it was one of the best meals they had EVER had. My husband and I LOVED the steak as well, it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The Caesar salad was also delicious, and the service provided to both us and the guests was impeccable. The venue is a beautiful space that can be totally customized (bringing in a decorator) and just vies the perfect intimate, but large, wedding you may want. Our day-of coordinator was amazing, dealing with our large (10 on each side plus us) wedding party like a champ, and always making sure I was okay/had everything I needed - made sure my cathedral veil didn’t fall out LOL. I honestly can’t say enough good things about the venue, and wish we could relive the night over and over again. The Heritage Hotel holds a special place in our hearts now and can’t wait to go back.

We originally were having a NYE wedding and decided to move it forward in order to have a fall October wedding outside in Heritage’s tent. The tent is set in their vineyard for beautiful backdrop and photos. Jennifer worked with us all along the way answering our MANY questions and figuring out all of the changes we had to make in order to adhere to the ever-changing guidelines. Our day ended up being beautiful and we are so happy we chose Heritage for our wedding.

I originally booked the Heritage Hotel for my wedding on 10/17/20 before COVID started but with the pandemic, we decided it would be best to decrease our guest count to 25 people. Barri, Candice, and Jen were all extremely accommodating and helpful through the whole process. We are planning to have our large celebration next year, but we were able to celebrate with a smaller wedding dinner celebration this year and it exceeded expectations! All of our guests had an amazing time, the food was delicious, the decorations were set up beautifully, and no one's drinks got close to empty the whole night since the wait staff was so attentive. I highly recommend the Heritage! Thank you so much for an amazing celebration and we look forward to working with you again next year!

We just booked for next August. Jennifer is absolutely wonderful and so sweet. They have let me go back twice during the day on weekends without and appointment to show my parents and take notes for decorations. I am a city girl. My fiance is a country boy. This venue is the perfect in between!

The Heritage Hotel and Conference Center is honestly the best kept secret out there! From the planning stages to the day of the wedding, Jennifer, Kyle, and Jackie were absolutely amazing to work with. They were truly all about making this day so special for us. Our guests were in awe of the ceremony and reception spaces and the delicious food. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

I just read the previous negative review and had to respond. I was at that wedding and am a friend of the groom. The hotel was clean, beautiful and above all professional. The DJ played all the songs requested by the bride and groom. If a guest does not like the music it’s what the bride and groom picked it is not the music. I also had the steak and it was great!! As far as the drinks I found them just perfect and tipped extra as the service was above par. I did attend the after party. While the Bar was very warm as the air was not working there was actually extra food left over. They asked us if we wanted to take the extra and we declined. I am sorry that this guest of the wedding was upset. However, I can assure you all the rest of us were beyond happy!

Go see this place in person! We chose the Heritage Hotel for our July wedding, and it was the BEST decision. Jennifer and Chris are great to work with, the food was amazing, and the venue is beautiful! Online pictures really do not do it justice- it has been recently renovated, and the stone garden was lush and colorful for our ceremony. The Timbers room is stunning: huge stone fireplace, wood beams that feel like a barn, and full-length windows that look out over the patio. The staff was able to accommodate serving the dinner family style (highly recommended) and everything ran smoothly. The best part was hanging out in the pub afterwards and knowing that our guests could go right upstairs to their rooms. Highly recommended and a great value!

Chris and Jen are amazing! They helped my husband and I with everything at our wedding and was so flexible with ceremony location and decor. They are one of the best to work with. completely down to earth.

Our criteria when looking for a venue were to be able to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, and guest rooms in one location with a rustic vibe. My husband and I knew the Heritage was the perfect location for our ceremony and reception just from one look at their website. Jennifer was very responsive and helpful with all of the planning along the way. The venue was perfect, and Chris kept everything running smoothly the day of our wedding. Our guests commented on how great their meals were and most of them stayed the night and thought their rooms were excellent as well. If you are looking for a rustic venue, you won't regret choosing the Heritage!

What a great place for a destination wedding.

We had our winter wedding at the Heritage Resort and Conference Center on 01/30/16. In terms of the hotel itself, our guests loved it! They have recently put millions of dollars into renovations and the place looks great! The staff members were incredibly helpful and friendly. There is a great gym, beautiful pool and sauna, and cozy places to lounge in front of the fireplace throughout the building. The bar/restaurant was a great place for us to get together after the rehearsal dinner to mingle and after the reception to keep the celebration going! The food at the hotel is all-around amazing- from the rehearsal dinner, to late night snacks at the bar, to the reception meals. Also, it was great not to worry about people traveling after the wedding- they just had to go to their rooms! I was nervous planning everything from Philadelphia, where we live, but Chris and Jennifer made it so easy. They were both there for us every step of the way. Jennifer worked with our budget to tailor a perfect package for us and both Chris and Jennifer answered our many questions throughout the process to make sure our day was perfect. On the actual day of the wedding, they coordinated seamlessly with the vendors, made the rooms look absolutely beautiful, and worked hard to make sure every single guest had an amazing time. We absolutely intend to come back to Heritage at least once a year for a weekend getaway. The new pool bar in the summer is supposed to be amazing. We are so glad we chose to get married here- it was absolutely perfect!

My husband and I were forced to find a new venue 6 months before our wedding day. We had zero flexibility with date or time as we had already sent save the dates. When we met with Jennifer and Chris, they put us at ease. They worked magic to accommodate us with our specific timing as there was another wedding booked that same day. Leading up to the wedding, the entire staff was super friendly and professional to all of our questions and needs. The hotel was under renovation, yet the staff assured us that things would be fabulous by May 9....and they were!!! My guests are still raving about the food (we had stations-pasta, mashed potato, carving, and salad) and the Heritage room (cocktail hour) and garden room with access to the stone garden (reception) were both just perfect. Jennifer and Chris sat with my mom and I the day before the wedding to go over every detail when we dropped off our special touches- table numbers, memory table, favors etc. Being a school teacher (and type A lol) I had everything labeled meticulously and I can say that not ONE thing was not the way I had imagined it. The staff was also wonderful during the evening: my photographer had to leave at 8:30 and at 8:20 I asked them to bring out our cupcake tower (earlier than our set plan so I could have her photograph cake cutting before she left) and they pulled through with smiles on their faces!!! Ryan was our maître de and truly went above and beyond by not only packaging things back up for us at the end of the night, but labeling boxes AND delivering to our room. The only thing he couldn't touch was our card box and gifts--it made for a very easy and quick transition for us to the "after party" at Shadrachs bar in the hotel.
Bottom line: This venue has it all for extremely fair pricing. Beautiful banquet rooms, garden area, friendly staff, great food, hotel bar for after party, beautiful guest rooms, great amenities, oh and the bridal suite is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!!!!!

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony at the Heritage Hotel--wow, what a wonderful experience. Jennifer and Chris made the planning process as well as these events SO fantastic. They were very attentive to all of my questions and always quick to respond to my many emails. The Heritage Room was a beautiful and private space to host our rehearsal dinner and the food was great! We had our wedding ceremony in the Garden room--it is such a beautiful and elegant space. They handled everything the day of the ceremony ensuring that it was a flawless ceremony (and so that I could be worry-free). I could not think of a better place to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and for all of our guests to stay for the weekend!!!

Words cannot begin to explain how happy I am with our choice to get married and hold our wedding reception at the Heritage Hotel. We chose the Heritage for it's reasonable price, the ease of having everything in one location, and how beautiful the stone garden looked in the spring (it is gorgeous in June!).

The wedding coordinators (Chris, Jennifer and Candice) went above and beyond to make every aspect of my dream wedding come true. They were extremely accommodating and worked with me to incorporate all of my must haves into my big day. I live outside of Boston and was extremely impressed at their responsiveness to phone calls and emails and how easy it was to plan from a different state.

In addition to the ceremony and reception, we also hosted our rehearsal dinner and a breakfast the morning after at the Heritage. It made the trip easier for our out of town guests, and made planning and coordinating easier for me.

We received countless compliments on the venue, food and service from our guests, and I would highly recommend the Heritage Hotel to any bride-to-be.

Mike and I were beyond pleased with our wedding reception at the Heritage Hotel. It was everything we could have asked for. Chris and Jen provided us with a day we will never forget. They were accommodating to all our requests and our guests had nothing but positive things to say about the reception and their service staying at the hotel. The food was delicious, service was spectacular and the 8 Mile Brook Room is an awesome setting for a wedding!! If we had one complaint it was the cocktail room was a little warm. Chris gave us such attention throughout the night and had everything organized so well that the night ran so smooth. We wouldn't have changed a thing!!!

Working with Chris and Candice was a dream! Candice answered every question I had, months leading up to the wedding and found a solution to any snag that came up. Chris was with us the day of and was always there to ask if we needed anything and was off and running the second we did. Great team!

The venue itself was perfectly beautiful and is a nice hidden gem that not many people know about. Everything was just perfect!

Jennifer is fantastic to work with and the venue itself is amazing. We were married in their beautiful stone garden outside and the staff was able to hang the flower balls in the trees to make the setting look magical. They transformed the 8 Mile Room to my exact vision. The hotel itself was amazingly accommodating from helping distribute breakfast tickets for the room block at check-in to helping my late guests get settled in and not miss the wedding. The catering staff was super attentive and made sure I had zero worries. The food was phenomenal and everyone commented on how delicious it was, how stuffed they were and proceeded to dance off the calories. :) You can't go wrong with this venue. They made our night unforgettable.

The heritage hotel was perfect. I had alot of out of town guests all they had to do was walk from the reception to their rooms. The hotel has alot to offer pool, gym, spa, golf. They also have a resturant and bar which is where we all went after the wedding. Jen is amazing she answered all of my questions, and I had alot. They are very flexaible and aot is included in there package, wedding cake, room, guest rates, champange toast, ext. Chris (jen's assistant) was there from start to finish makeing sure my bridal party and ourselves had everything we needed. I had many compliants from the guests that night.

Jennifer is wonderful to work with and the venue is absolutely perfect! The package is affordable and the service is great! The wedding package is great too because it includes the cake!

I just can't rave enough about the Heritage, its staff, and my experience with them. From the very beginning, when I was researching venues, Jennifer (the catering manager) was quick to respond to my questions, concerns, and help in any way possible.

The entire staff truly went above and beyond during the whole planning practice and the wedding day itself. One of my decorations fell off a table during the reception and broke - I had absolutely no idea it happened, and would have just told them to trash it at that point, but a member of the wait staff took it in the back and glued it back together! It's the little things like that which made my experience with the Heritage wonderful.

The food was also terrific, the bar service was great, the staff was friendly, and my guests had a terrific time. The value was also great - you really get so much in each wedding package.

We cant speak highly enough of the Heritage Hotel and of their catering manager, Jennifer. Our entire wedding weekend went off without a hitch and all of the guests are still praising us and the hotel for such a great weekend. Every email that was sent to Jennifer was responded to immediatley with all of the information we needed. Whenever we had a request or favor, she never said no. Jennifer will accomodate anything that is needed to make the bride and groom happy. The food was incredible and the hotel rooms felt like home. I highly recommend the Heritage Hotel for both your reception and your ceremony. Their stone garden is a beautiful ceremony location.

The Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT was the perfect venue for our wedding! This location has recently been renovated, so everything looked great! We had just under 100 guests, but it could easily accommodate a much larger group as well. The Stone Garden was a beautiful spot for the ceremony, and pictures came out great. Having everything on-site (wedding, cocktail hour, and reception) was an excellent choice and the hotel is set up perfectly to make it easy for guests to move from one to the next. The grounds make for excellent pictures - just have your photographer visit the location ahead of time so they know where to take the best shots. The food was very good and staff were polite and efficient. Jennifer and Chris (our event planner and Maitre' d) were easy to work with, answered all of my questions, and provided us with all the information we needed to organize our special day. I highly recommend this location for a wedding (and other special events)!

I had my wedding at the heritage this past October and it was fantastic. Jen is amazing to work with and very understanding. There is no stupid question or request and she made everything perfect. The food was great, everyone couldn't stop raving about the steak. It was a great night and I was very pleased with the Heritage in all.

The Heritage Hotel was our venue of choice (after looking at about 20) for our wedding on August 15th, 2009. My fiance (now husband) had announced to me prior to our search that he "didn't want to have it in a place with a crystal chandelier". Having grown up as a teen working in his uncle's massive event hall he has seen his fair share of cheesy weddings and didn't want ours to be anything 'sparkly'. So we came up with a vision for an English garden theme. Finally, after many searches, we came to the 8 Mile Brook Room at the Heritage Hotel in Southbury. We shipped in manzanita branches from California, bought glass hanging votives over the internet, and found 14 vases at Home Goods under $10 a piece that mismatched on purpose. My wonderful husband washed in a strainer 3 bags of pea pebbles we got at Home Depot for $4 a bag to secure the branches in. We built these things in a service room that had been set up for us a couple of the days before the wedding. The rustic theme was completed with 3 mason jars of loose flowers surrounding the centerpieces. The food was wonderful, (get the gorgonzola ravioli pasta course, it's worth every penny!!) The hors d'ouervres were great, the staff was courteous, the events planner was totally accommodating and helpful. They allowed us to have a Venetian table without any additional service charge. When we had gotten there a couple of days prior to build the centerpieces and noticed a HUGE dumpster appeared outside not far from the wall of windows in the reception room-Jennifer had it removed promptly. What was even more wonderful was that since it was part of the hotel, our out of town and drinking guests had a very convenient, clean, inexpensive ($130 a night) place to stay. They also didn't have a 2-night stay minimum, which ruled out two other venues. I'm so glad that we had our reception here!

The Heritage Hotel is a picture-perfect setting for a rustic Connecticut wedding. They excel at banquet settings and large wedding-type events. Chris Allen and Jennifer Guilliano are amazing at what they do and will tailor your event to your particular vision. They have exceptional class, professionalism and knowledge of event planning and catering.
The hotel was just newly renovated and is truly a place you can be proud to have your guest stay! It's an excellent choice for a bride and groom looking to put on a great small-town wedding all in one place!

I was married at the Garden Room in the Heritage Hotel on 10/10/09. Jennifer is the coordinator there and she is great! I had all sorts of centerpieces and such for her to set up and it was perfect! We met three times before hand to go over everything and we corresponded by email and phone. When we received our one year anniversary dinner last week she also set that up!

The venu was gorgeous and our guests loved the pub in the hotel after the wedding. I highly recommend it!

They were great to work with! The venue was an excellent choice; especially since we had so many out of state guests. They were very responsive to all my emails. Some of the apps we picked were unavailable last minute due to supply issues, but they substituted with something else.

We had our wedding at the Heritage in March. They did a great job. The only part that was slightly confusing was that our initial consultation was not with the wedding director and we were not informed about this. Then in January we were switched to the correct person when it was noticed that she was not handling our wedding. Once we re-went over the details with Jennifer everything was great. The food was amazing and the service was perfect.

Jennifer from the Heritage was down-to-earth and helped us put together a spectacular wedding. They set everything up to our specifications and handled everything professionally. We had a great reception.

We just had our wedding at The Heritage. I cant say enough good things about Jennifer and the Maitre D Chris, who were both there the night of the wedding. We were married in the Rock Garden. I personally felt that without some candles and mums, the rock garden in pretty bland so we brought quite a few in. The siding on the building in the rock garden is also rotting away but, I am sure I am the only one that noticed. The leaves in the bushes had also not been blown out for the reception. We had our reception in the Garden Room which was great. We had access to the rock garden all night. The food was great, but some guests said that the steak was overcooked. Guest also raved about the cocktail hour and the pasta station. We ordered our cake from the vendor Jennifer gave us, and we ordered a spice cake. Only one layer of the cake was spice, while the rest was vanilla cake. We heard the cake was great, but we were bummed it was not what we had ordered. Overall, the wedding was amazing. Jennifer does a great job and it very flexible with your requests for decorations, etc.

An excellent rustic location with accommodations onsite! Great value and wonderful staff to work with. A fabulous experience all around.

Overall our wedding reception went very well. Jennifer was very helpful and quick to repond to any of our needs and questions. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful to our guests. The room was decorated beautifully, better than we imagined it to be. The only bad thing was the timing and food..chicken was extremely dry, and plates were taken away before people were finished eating. We had to hurry up and do cut our cake before the photographer left, but once they served cake to everyone the coffee didn't come out until a half hour or so after, which our guests were upset about. Didn't seem very organized, maybe because there was another wedding reception going on? Overall it was a great experience, but could have been a lot better.

I loved the location and Jennifer was flexible to work with with us, but I felt like professionalism was lacking. Things I had asked for ended up not coming to fruition the day of (minor things). The food was ok - the fish was extremely disappointing (very bland), and there was not enough food in the cocktail hour, which I had been warned about by other brides.
I would recommend the venue, only because I thought it was beautiful and it's unique compared to others in the area.

Unfortunately, Jen was away on leave during my interaction with Heritage. Most of my communication was with the maitre d- Chris. I was disappointed with my overall experience with the hotel. There were several things that were not delivered.

For example, the staff completely groomed the garden, the day before the wedding. There were areas where plants were visibly viable but cut. I was there a week prior and the garden was green. I was forced to buy a lot of mums last minute to make up for it.

Cocktail hour was to be 6 passed hors d' oeuvres and two stations. My guests complained that there was always a line to the stations. Barely anyone noticed the passed hors d' oeuvres.

The food was sub par. Veal and salmon were overcooked. Potatoes were undercooked.

There was supposed to be wine bottles with service at each table, this didn't happen. They did one wine pass for dinner.

I had specific directions for my centerpieces, it was done wrong. Thankfully, my maid of honor had to go down for something else and it was corrected prior to the reception.

Chris called me about an hour before to tell me all "the things that are going wrong". (minor issues but were presented in a way that stressed me at a time I didn't anything else.

Chris was supposed to be my bridal attendant. I saw her thrice, while we were sitting for dinner. (Bride and groom never sit). After that, I had to actively seek her out.

They switched the table arrangements, so my husbands family was placed in the back corner!
