Chelsy and Sage with The Gathering Co were truly one of the greatest gifts of our wedding experience. From the very beginning, they cared about every single detail — big and small — and handled everything with such warmth, calmness, and genuine joy. You can feel how much they love what they do, and how deeply they care about the people they serve!
When our wedding weekend was turned upside down by a snowstorm, Chelsy was an absolute saving grace for me. She walked with me through every option, every decision, and every emotion. She was fully committed to making our dream day happen — no matter what! I never once felt alone or overwhelmed because she was always one step ahead, steady, reassuring, and completely in control in the best possible way
They made sure every vendor was safe and supported, every guest was cared for, and every detail was thoughtfully handled — all while keeping such a positive, calming presence. In the middle of what could have been so stressful, she created peace, confidence, and so much joy.
Because of Chelsy and Sage, our wedding day was not just beautiful — it felt seamless, cared for, and incredibly special. They didn’t just plan an event… They protected and carried our vision through one of the most unexpected situations imaginable.
We are endlessly grateful, and I cannot recommend The Gathering Co enough for any wedding or event. They truly made our day perfect!!

My husband and I did not have the most linear wedding planning process. 6 months before our wedding date, we found out that our venue was closing and we were going to have to find another venue to host our 240 person wedding. This is also around the time we met Chelsy with The Gathering Co. Despite the fact that we booked the event management package (for month of coordination), Chelsy and her team were there for us from the time we met until our wedding day. Chelsy provided recommendations for new venues to tour, read over every contract, negotiated with the venue on our behalf, and truly helped us to execute our most perfect day. We were even running over an hour behind on wedding day and neither my husband or myself ever felt this stress as Chelsy handled every bit of it with grace. We can't thank her and her team enough for all they did for us. She brought such positive energy to what had been a stressful wedding process. Can't recommend her and her team enough! -

The BEST wedding planner!
Working with The Gathering Co. for design and day of coordination was the #1 best decision we made for our wedding. We worked with Maddy and (I cannot overstate this) cannot recommend her enough.
Maddy was able to take a few inspiration pictures we had, add in her own suggestions while respecting our wishes, respond to my numerous requests to bounce ideas off of, and bring an amazing day to life. Her ability to manage everything, while keeping us within our budget, made us feel confident and stress-free during the entire process. And the day turned out beautiful, I cannot stress enough how many compliments we received specifically on both the design of the wedding, and logistics, a lot of which was directly her doing.
Logistically, her communication was fantastic—always quick to respond to emails, texts, and calls, which made the planning process so much easier. We do not live in state, and she was so helpful being able to coordinate things in lieu of us. She was incredibly organized, always had an answer to any question we had, and even went above and beyond by helping us solve last-minute logistics issues, sacrificing her personal time to make sure everything went perfectly. She is the sweetest and nicest human, not only was she a dream to work with, but she also kept the entire event on track while being warm and approachable to us and our guests.
TLDR: Book The Gathering Co. (and Maddy!) ASAP for the wedding day of your dreams!! 50000000/10 stars!!! -

I don’t think I can fully express how helpful it was to have the Gathering Co as wedding planners. The TGC team were such incredible partners throughout the whole process, from choosing a venue to selecting vendors all the way through to the day itself. I was dreading the stress of planning a wedding, and with the team’s help, I ended up with a wedding and experience that I would do all over again, exactly the same, no questions asked. The best feedback I can give is that, even though we felt like our planning team did all of the heavy lifting, we ended up with a day that multiple said looked and felt so much like us. -

My wife & I got married 4 months ago, and we STILL can’t get over the beautiful execution of our fall wedding. Our wedding photos and videos captured the labor of love that Chelsea put into our wedding day.
She was so professional, accommodating, and reliable. She ensured that our day was stress-free (emphasis on stress-free) through consistent and intentional communication.

100 stars for Chelsy and TGC!!! Full planning with her over my 2 year engagement was literal perfection and she crushed in making our dreams come true! Her ability to listen and learn who we were as a couple, her creativity, execution, communication and just overall kindness cannot be matched. She helped create the perfect day that represented both me and my fiancé. It felt so authentic, original, unique and special - that was all because of Chelsy and her attention to detail, amazing ideas, and ability to create TOTAL VIBES!!! I cannot even explain how grateful I am for Whitney and The Gathering Co. team! I had absolutely no clue how to start planning a wedding and started researching wedding planners. I found The Gathering Co and love their style and their vibe. My fiancé, Doug, and I did a consultation with Whitney, and we were totally sold within 5 minutes of speaking with her! We hired The Gathering Co for Full Planning, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I did not really have a vision for my wedding, but I knew what I did not want. I told Whitney the only requirements were that it was sleek, modern, and not corny (lol). Whitney prepared our inspiration and design packet, and it was perfect – she totally understood my style and incorporated it perfectly into our wedding. Whitney asked how hands on I wanted to be during the planning process, and I told her this is her area of expertise, and I fully trusted her – I only wanted to be brought in for important decisions, contracts, and payments. She handled EVERY. SINGLE. THING. for us! The entire process was completely stress and worry free. On the day of the wedding, Whitney and her team were on their A game! They handled all the vendors, their timelines, set up, clean up, literally everything. Doug and I got to fully immerse ourselves in enjoying our wedding and having the best time and I owe it all to The Gathering Co! If you are considering hiring a wedding planner, you absolutely need Whitney! Not only is she amazing at her job, but she is just an all-around wonderful and amazing person! -

Chelsy and her team at The Gathering Co. went above and beyond in ensuring that we had the wedding of our dreams! We are not familiar with the NC area and only had 1 opportunity to visit the area prior to our actual wedding day, and yet Chelsy made the long-distance planning so stress-free and smooth. Across different time zones, Chelsy was so meticulously organized and stream-lined - there was never an invoice, vendor conversation, or other design detail that went unaccounted for. She was so wonderful in constructing our dream wedding design off of just Pinterest mood boards, and then extremely flexible in changing around details as well. She executed the perfect balance of tailoring things to our taste while offering her expert opinion when it came to things like cost/convenience. It felt like a true collaboration and I never once felt pressured by her to make a certain decision. She handled the majority of our vendor conversations, was a pro at managing inconvenient last minute changes common to all weddings (i.e: guest cancellations, contingency plans for bad weather, tracking weather changes like a hawk leading up to the wedding day, retracting said contingency plans when the weather turned out to be great), searched high and low for additional vendors/design elements that fulfilled the criteria for certain cultural traditions of our wedding, and most importantly, made the day of the wedding such a dream and so much fun. I loved working with her so much -- I think it's rare in the wedding industry to meet someone so phenomenal at their job from a professional/organizational standpoint, who is also both laid-back and such a joy to be around. It was so obvious in every single one of our interactions that Chelsy truly loves her job and goes above and beyond for her clients; her enthusiasm was so contagious and it made the whole process unforgettable. I would get married all over again for the chance to work with her again. Please, please book her for your wedding - You won't regret it! -

Outside of my wife and I, there was nobody more integral to our wedding than Chelsy. Across a 26-month engagement, which started across state lines and in the thick of the pandemic in late 2020, Chelsy guided us through every step to give us our dream wedding.
We worked with Chelsy to not only plan our wedding, but also build out the design elements and bring to life the vision we had in our hearts... but that our less-than-creative minds weren't quite sure how to articulate. That was simple work for Chelsy, guiding us through every step to make our big day beautiful and seamless.
The Gathering Co.'s approach is the perfect balance of keeping you on top of (and ahead of) what you need to do as a couple, all while giving you the peace of mind to know that, even in stressful times, it'll all come out perfectly in the end. In every vendor meeting or planning session we had, my wife and I were always confident that we would get exactly what we needed. Chelsy's affable and electric personality is complemented by her incredible expertise and strong determination to get you everything you need from your vendors, your venue, and even those in your family that are helping plan your big day.
There won't be an engagement we come across where Chelsy isn't our very first, ironclad recommendation. We could not be more grateful to her and her team for their unimpeachable efforts that made our big day more joyful than we could've imagined.

We could not recommend Chelsy more! Her full planning for a year and a half engagement was well worth it. I kept getting asked why I was such a calm bride and 100% of the time replied, "the planner." Chelsy and her team absolutely crushed it for our big day!! We hired the Gathering Co. for design and coordination and they were such an integral part of making our day run smoothly and beautifully. I worked closely with the team leading up to our big day which was so helpful to have someone to bounce ideas off of, answer questions and make sure nothing was forgotten. They also provided a planning spreadsheet/timeline which was unbelievably detailed and helpful. It helped me SO much to be able to make sure I was getting things done at a reasonable pace without overwhelming myself. The design elements that Chelsy and her team dreamed up and helped source were perfection and we are so happy with the way our day turned out from the aesthetics, down to the logistics. Chelsy and her teammate Katie were there with us on our wedding day, and everyone was raving about them! Chelsy has such a calming presence (I cannot stress this enough!!) and she manages to get every thing and everybody where they need to be with ease and grace. Any little "problems" that occurred on our wedding day, she problem solved like a boss, because she is one!! Katie had such a delightful, upbeat energy and always made sure me and my husband's glasses were filled on our wedding day! I highly recommend that you hire the Gathering Co, you will not regret it!!!

Best decision of my entire wedding planning process
I got married on 01/08/2022 ( a little late on the review writing, my bad Chels lol) but let me tell you, I was on the fence about getting a wedding planner at the very beginning of planning, but decided to pull the trigger and go for it. I do not regret any penny spent ONE BIT. It is worth every single dollar and then some! First of all Chelsy is AMAZING and an absolute professional and genius at what she does. She took all of my thoughts and dreams of what I wanted my wedding to be in my head and turned them into reality. She made wedding planning as stress-free as possible. I was truly able to place my trust in her and her vision for my day and she made it all come to fruition. Chelsy is highly respected in the wedding business by other vendors and it is so obvious why. She is also a genuine soul who has your best interests at heart. It is very evident event planning is Chelsy’s passion and something she takes seriously. If you’re looking for a wedding planner and thinking of The Gathering Co., don’t think anymore, just do it before she gets booked!!! -

From day one Chelsy and her team made us feel special! We hired Chelsy for our month of coordination for our wedding in March 2022. Based in Denver, my schedule was often a bit wonky and Chelsy was accommodating throughout the time we worked together on finding time within her schedule to align to our trips to NC. Her and her team responded to all of our emails within the day and often to emails that did not require a response just to hype us up and make our ideas heard! What we loved most about working with Chelsy is she went above and beyond to make sure what mattered to us most was perfect, to provide design guidance when it came to our vision and to help with any questions we had such as how to find an affordable acrylic easel last minute. Our wedding party also enjoyed working with her on the weekend of and we never felt rushed while she kept us on schedule. She is organized, kind and works extremely hard! Book them early and you won’t regret it! -

Best day with the best team!
Chelsy and her team at the Gathering Co. did an amazing job planning our wedding and coordinating day of! From Day 1 we could tell Chelsy was focused on ensuring our wedding perfectly reflected us as a couple. She went above and beyond listening and taking notes during planing calls and then perfectly communicating our wishes to vendors. Chelsy also has amazing taste and is able to perfectly understand her clients’ preferences to bring their style to life. After having to move our wedding from early March to late May due to Covid, it meant so much to us that Chelsy worked tirelessly to update our style plan to fit a summer wedding with no complaints or questions.
On the day of, Chelsy and her team did an amazing job setting everything up and keeping everyone on schedule. Multiple times Chelsy brought my husband and I as well as our parents water, snacks, drinks, etc. and made sure we were all having the best time! We would also recommend Chelsy’s husband, Thomas, who did an amazing job as our officiant. We have friends and family from different cultural and religious backgrounds and wanted to make sure our ceremony felt inclusive, while also being personalized. Thomas was thoughtful and intentional in crafting the perfect ceremony for us! Please do not hesitate in hiring the Gathering Co. for your wedding!

Wow, I don’t even know where to begin. I got engaged two years ago and my wedding came to a stop two months before our wedding day in 2020! After 3 reschedules, a intimate wedding and then our big celebration, Chelsy and her team managed it ALL! Not one time did I feel like I had to handle things myself. I truly just cannot even explain in depth all that she means to us and how structured and beautiful and intentional she was with us and our wedding. If you can budget a planner, do it! Not one time did I say “I’m ready for this to be over” or “I wish we went to the court house.” They are the best and I’m forever grateful! I have no idea where to begin when I sing the praises of Chelsy and her team! At the beginning, we originally wanted to hire a day of coordinator, but seeing The Gathering Co.'s portfolio, we decided to add on design and I'm SO glad we did. I had a vision for our wedding that I had a hard time conveying so I sent some photos to Chelsy. When she presented the mood board, I almost cried, as it was everything I had dreamed of but had a hard time conveying. Chelsy and her team are true professionals who will guide you every step of the way with securing rentals, knowing vendors, and just overall logistics of the wedding. When our wedding got postponed due to Covid, Chelsy handled all the rescheduling with grace and tact. We finally had our wedding a month ago, and many people of our bridal party and family remarked how smooth and seamless it went due to Chelsy and her assistant leading the charge. Seeing the whole venue come together after over a year of waiting, was an incredible experience. We got so many compliments on the layout, decor, and flowers. Look no further…. Chelsy and her team are AMAZING! Chelsy is an incredibly talented planner with a team that create magic on your special day. We met one of The Gathering Co’s team members by chance at a venue open house. We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, so we set up a consultation meeting to see what they had to offer. Upon meeting Chelsy for that consultation, I knew she was the planner for me. We just clicked! She is full of energy, creative, full of ideas and connected with great vendors. Aside from all the business stuff, she is very caring, supportive, thoughtful and one of the sweetest humans you will ever meet! At our initial consultation, Chelsy got what I was envisioning for my wedding, which she later displayed on the most beautiful vision board. Chelsy was very helpful in recommending venues and vendors. She works with a wide array of vendors and helped us choose the right ones for our wedding. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming. Chelsy guided us through the entire process. She put together a detailed timeline and kept us on track. She was very patient with us as we tried to make decisions. She answered countless questions and thousands of emails. We were in the final stage of planning our wedding when we had to make a difficult decision. Talk about stress! Chelsy was right there; she never skipped a beat. Within a week of deciding that we needed to move the full wedding to a different date, she not only had our new COVID-friendly intimate wedding all set up on our original date, but she also locked down all the vendors for our new date in 2021. Amazing to say the least! We had our intimate wedding on our original date, and we could not have been happier. It was exactly how we envisioned. Chelsy and her team worked hard and spent countless hours creating a beautiful day for us. There was so much attention to even the littlest of details. There are not enough words to describe how truly grateful we are to her and her team for making our wedding day so special. LOVE The Gathering Co and can’t wait to do this again with them in 2021!

The Gathering Co. Is AMAZING. Look no further for a thorough, caring, and incredibly talented team to create magic for your special day. I’m a COVID bride so the stress of ever changing plans and the unknowns of the times goes without saying. Chelsy worked with me for almost a full year on my design plan/general coordination for the day. She sent me the most beautiful vision board that captured all of my hopes and dreams for my wedding day in one document. She is organized and creative, always having a unique solution or idea that I never would have come to on my own. When COVID hit she seamlessly transitioned from my larger venue wedding to my intimate back yard wedding at my family’s lake house. I like to say she planned 2 weddings for me. Chelsy was very patient with me through the decision making process and really made my vision come to life. She made me feel comfortable and at ease through the whole process even when things could have felt out of control due to the pandemic. She responded very quickly to any question or concern that I had. When it came down to my wedding day, I was blown away by the beauty that she created. The entire aesthetic completely surpassed my expectations. The table scapes were absolutely stunning. There was so much attention to every single detail. I was overwhelmed by how perfect it all was. I have received endless compliments on how beautiful the day was. She ran the day with confidence and grace despite questionable weather. Because she was so peaceful, I never once got anxious and felt truly present on this long awaited day. At the end of the night she even cleaned up things that were not her responsibility and didn’t complain once. Chelsy became a friend to me in the whole wedding planning process. I hired the Gathering Co (Chelsy) for their event management services (8 weeks of pure bliss) package and it was one of the smartest decisions I made as a bride! From the very beginning, Chelsy was there to help and answer all my questions. She made me feel confident in my ideas and guided to some of the best vendors. Then when the craziness of 2020 hit and it was clear that COVID was going to affect our wedding, Chelsy supported me and my family so well! I cant even begin to describe how AMAZING Chelsy and the Gathering Co. were leading up to our special day and of course on the day. Chelsy was extremely helpful since day one, and she was the fourth person we met with. Immediately she had a calming presence and knew her stuff. We loved the idea of how the company works and how they have multiple people on site to help with wedding day preparations. I do not exaggerate when I say our day was PERFECT, and I owe all of it to Chelsy and her team. Even if something went wrong or not as planned I would have had no idea. She kept us right on schedule the whole time and even when a few things took longer than expected she was right there with an answer and how to make it work! They set up and decorated everything beyond what I had imagined. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with the Gathering Co. We hired them for Month of Coordination and they went above and beyond from the very beginning. We began working with Chelsy who was amazing at helping us stick to a timeline, figure out what is important and what can be let go, and how to make our non-traditional ideas work and not feel out of place. Jenn ended up doing the coordination for much of the month of the wedding and was the coordinator on our wedding day and words can't express how amazing she was.
Both Jenn and Chelsy were so detailed, kind, and never made me feel like my 1 million questions were overkill. They both went above and beyond in helping with things they didn't have to do for us just to make sure we had the best experience we could have. I truly feel like they love what they do and genuinely care about each couple's day. I really couldn't put a price tag on the peace of mind we got from not having to worry about all of the small details and not having to put that responsibility on a family member.
Our day flowed so smoothly and I got multiple comments about how lovely and helpful Jenn was from guests. She and the coordination assistants were also so great in making sure everything was set up exactly like we wanted it (even when that meant fighting against the heat that was melting candles and browning greenery). I would 100 percent make the choice to go with the Gathering Co. again and I would advise every couple to do the same! -

Where do I begin? It's hard to put into words just how much I appreciated Chelsy and her team. I have 2 kids under the age of 4, so I quickly got very overwhelmed with trying to plan a wedding without any help. I started researching wedding coordinators, and came across The Gathering Co's page. I reached out to others as well, but something about Chelsy's passion and genuine care just got me from the start, and I knew she was the right one for me. From start to finish, Chelsy was just amazing. She is so organized, and made so many great design suggestions. Less than a month before the wedding, I decided that DIY flowers was just too much for me to handle, so Chelsy got right on it and found me an amazing florist for a great price. Hiring Chelsy and her team was the best money spent on our wedding! Easily the best decision we could have made. From the very start, Chelsy showed genuine care about making sure our wedding was exactly how we wanted it. She was awesome about communicating timely via email and was always there to answer our questions (even my small annoying ones!). Her organizational skills are top notch and the wedding was SO smooth thanks to those skills. Her team was amazing setting up on the wedding day and they styled the entire venue PERFECTLY. I was most nervous about design because I had an idea of what I wanted, but the budget made it hard. Chelsy helped me IN DETAIL to find items that would create the vision I had without breaking the bank. It was seriously just so great having her help. Another great aspect was her diplomatic personality where our rowdy wedding party/vendors truly respected her and wanted to listen to her instructions/ideas. Chelsy even fixed my wedding dress at the end of the night when the strap broke! She’s the most helpful and sweet woman and made our wedding day so great.

Hiring Chelsy and her team for design services and day of coordination was undoubtedly the BEST decision my partner and I made while wedding planning. I swear this woman is a wedding planning genie or something—every design detail she touched was made SO beautiful but also SO reflective of us as a couple. Countless guests have told us how personalized and heartfelt our wedding details were, so if you’re looking for a planning team to help you design a truly unique and personal wedding, I couldn’t recommend The Gathering Co. more highly!
Additionally, Chelsy was ALWAYS available with genius answers to even our most random wedding planning questions AND to tackle unexpected challenges for us so we wouldn’t have to stress. She managed to find us new ceremony musicians within a month of the wedding AND a new lighting vendor within a WEEK of the wedding when the folks we had originally hired fell through. I can’t emphasize enough just how much stress she saved us and how much her knowledge and expertise made us feel completely taken care of in the months leading up to the wedding.
Mostly importantly though, Chelsy and her team are SO good at what they do, that my partner and I were able to completely relax and enjoy ourselves on our wedding day—to soak in every SINGLE moment without worrying for a second about what was going on behind the scenes. Everyone says this, but our wedding was absolutely the happiest day of our lives, so it was truly a priceless gift to be able to fully experience and feel present in all of it. Originally I was going to have a coworker coordinate for me, but she had a conflict and I needed to find someone asap to fill in just 2 months before my wedding. Her styling is absolutely beautiful, and she honestly is such a sweet and pleasant person to work with! I had a few mishaps with my bridesmaids about a month before the wedding and she supported me every step of the way and reassured me everything would be fine. My husband and I both feel as though we gained a friend through Chelsy and will miss the planning process with her. It was a joy getting to know her and her team.
The Gathering Co. as a whole offers many different services as well, which we took full advantage of. Chelsy's husband, Thomas, was our officiant. He was awesome!! We were definitely nervous performing our vows, and just having him be our officiant made us that much more comfortable and relaxed. It was like having an old friend marry us. Jenn also did the calligraphy for our wedding. We had a few old window panes we wanted to have used as signage and we collected magnolia leaves to be used for our guests' names. She did a great job!! She was so easy to work with and the windows and place settings came out so so nicely. She also decorated an arch used in our ceremony and it was beautiful.
The team styled the entire set-up beautifully. I could seriously just go on and on about how great this company was to work with. Every detail had care and attention to detail and I really thank Chelsy and her team for that.
Honestly, we are lucky having to been able to work with her. We literally planned our wedding around her availability. The value of the services you receive are just above and beyond. Book them before they get snatched up! This company is the real deal.
