Hiring The Finer Points is a no brainer!

Lynn and Lisa were absolutely incredible to work with throughout the wedding planning process and on the day of our wedding. They are organized, excellent communicators, and both have such a calming and reassuring presence. They were such great guides when it came to making decisions about vendors, design elements, and all of the countless details that go into planning a wedding.

They know exactly what they’re doing, which meant that on our wedding day, we didn’t have to think about a single thing other than spending quality time with our friends and family. We truly had the best day ever, and Lynn and Lisa were a huge reason why.

Lynn is also incredibly well-connected with so many amazing vendors and venues in the area which made the planning process that much easier. At one point, we mentioned feeling stressed about pulling together all of our signage, and by the very next day Lynn had scheduled a meeting with her friend Sandi at Live Love Lettered. Sandi immediately understood our vision and handled everything from our custom drink stirrers to our seating chart. Easy!

We are so grateful to The Finer Points for making our wedding day so beautiful, memorable, and stress-free. Their expertise, guidance, and support were worth every single penny, and we cannot recommend them highly enough.

Wedding Planning you didn't know you needed!

We worked with Rachel from Finer Points for month of planning for my daughter's wedding. She was incredible to work with: great communicator, patient with questions, detail oriented, kind, and more! We weren't sure we needed a month of planner since we thought we were well organized and had our vendors all contracted. We were wrong! In the 6 weeks before the wedding, everything comes to a head. Rachel was there at our venue walkthrough, created our day of timeline and did all of the final coordination and communication with the vendors. She also has a creative eye for details and was able to help with ideas for those final touches. She put up with my endless questions. Wedding day, she was there to manage all of the vendors which means my daughter and I were able to enjoy the day. She had everything running on time and was the first point of contact for everyone limiting the need for us to answer any questions. She also kept an eye on the weather forecast and was able to help us manage a pop up storm that rolled in. I can't recommend her enough and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. No matter how organized you think you are, using Finer Points for planning will help you be able to enjoy your wedding!

You Need Nicole!

Working with Nicole was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Planning a destination wedding in the California desert in May felt overwhelming at first, especially because I am notoriously indecisive, but Nicole made the entire process feel effortless from start to finish. I truly still cannot believe she was able to plan and design our entire space without ever seeing the venue in person beforehand and somehow she executed it more perfectly than I could have ever imagined.

Every single detail was handled flawlessly. The day went off without a hitch, and Nicole managed everything so seamlessly behind the scenes that we were actually able to relax and enjoy every moment. She had every detail down to the wire, anticipated things before we even thought of them, and somehow always knew exactly what would fit our vision and theme perfectly. From décor selections to logistics, every choice felt intentional and beautiful.

What impressed me even more was her ability to coordinate vendors in a completely unfamiliar location. Despite never having worked in that area before, she found incredible vendors willing to come out to the desert, and every single one exceeded expectations.

Nicole went above and beyond in every possible way. She was endlessly patient, reassuring, creative, organized, and genuinely invested in making our wedding special. She took my scattered ideas, inability to make decisions, and the chaos of planning a destination wedding and somehow turned it into the wedding of our dreams. Honestly, it ended up being even better than I ever could have envisioned.

I cannot thank Nicole enough for the care, effort, and heart she poured into our day. She didn’t just do what was asked of her. She exceeded every expectation and then some. If you are considering booking The Finer Points, DO IT. They will take your vision and bring it to life in ways you didn’t even know were possible. While creating your dream wedding anywhere you want it, they will be delivering red carpet customer service. Nicole makes you feel like a celebrity bride and a true VIP. I can confidently say you will never meet anyone as talented, dedicated, and incredible as Nicole. Five stars truly does not feel like enough.

An Incredible Wedding Day-Of Coordinator Experience

Without a doubt, one of the best decisions we made throughout our entire wedding process was hiring The Finer Points and Rachel for our day of coordination. From our first meeting at their beautiful downtown Leesburg studio, I was blown away by Lynn and Rachel’s attention to detail, enthusiasm, and consistency. Planning a wedding can be so stressful, and by the time I started meeting with The Finer Points, I was hitting a wall of burnout that made me unexcited about anything related to planning. Rachel immediately hit the ground running once we started, communicating a few months before the wedding, gathering my other vendors' information and contracts, organizing final details, and creating a day-of schedule that was so detailed and clear that it was easy to follow. Thanks to Rachel, I spent the last few weeks before my wedding calm and excited because I knew she had every small detail handled, and I could focus on enjoying the time with my family and friends.
Throughout my entire wedding day, Rachel and her lovely assistant were by my side making sure the schedule stayed on track and that I was taken care of. Rachel made sure every vendor knew where to go and what to do, and not a single one had to call me or stress me out due to her consistent outgoing communication. She even made sure my husband and I had a piece of wedding cake waiting in our fridge when we were so busy dancing that we forgot to have any. Those little touches meant more than I can explain. My mom calls Rachel our “Wedding Day MVP” and I wholeheartedly agree. It’s one thing to like your planner as a vendor, but we also just all really loved her as a person. There’s a reason The Finer Points is the best wedding and events planner in the area, and I can confidently say my day would not have been as special without them. Cannot recommend The Finer Points enough!

Choosing The Finer Points to coordinate our July 2025 wedding was one of the best decisions we made when wedding planning! Lynn and Nicole were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and competent. They handled all the day-of logistics seamlessly and made us feel at ease in their capable hands. We got married at Stone Tower Winery, and they know that venue like the back of their hands, so if you're getting married there, I'd especially recommend The Finer Points! Our wedding had a lot of moving parts, and Lynn and Nicole handled all of it expertly and never made us feel like we were asking for too much. Nicole even did some impromptu content creation for us, so we had some amazing photos and videos to look back on the day right away! Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more, in no small part because of The Finer Points. Can't recommend them enough!

Perfect in every way!

Rachel was the day of planner for our daughter's wedding. She went above and beyond for every last detail! Wonderful wedding planners

We are so grateful that we planned my daughter's wedding with The Finer Points. It was a perfect day. The best of the best

My husband and I cannot thank The Finer Points (TFP) enough for making our wedding day so wonderful - especially Lynn, Rachel, and Kyle. We are so grateful for all their help leading up to the big day and ensuring everything went smoothly on the day of the wedding. From the timeline and floor plan they created, decor they transported and set-up for us, vendor coordination, clean up, and more - it was clear they understood our vision and took it to the next level. TFP's hard work (both in front of and behind the scenes) truly made everything go off without a hitch! As an example - it unexpectedly started to pour at the end of our cocktail hour, and they quickly and seamlessly pivoted our plans and moved all our decor inside.

Additionally, several of our guests let us know how much they appreciated The Finer Point's help when they had wardrobe malfunctions/other issues that TFP fixed in an instant. We want to thank them for not only taking such great care of us, but for our family and friends as well - it means so much!

The Finer Points went above and beyond to make our day better than we could have imagined, and we have nothing but the best to say about them. TFP has our highest recommendation!

A Fantastic Experience

Finer Points LLC was the wedding planner for my daughter's wedding in June 2024 at the Middleburg Barn. Lynn and her team did an amazing job of making the wedding day beautiful and seamless! I highly recommend Finer Points! Lynn did a good job of learning who my daughter was and what she and her fiance wanted on the day of the wedding. Ask for Nicole!

Our venue required a day-of coordinator, which in hindsight, if you can afford it, do it! I literally never had to look at my cell phone. Nicole just handled EVERYTHING. It was very clear that her (and her assistant Lisa) were prepared to handle much, much more than what our event through at them, so while we only hired Finer Points for the day-of, they're clearly a sure-bet for full service wedding support. I heard a few things on the day didn't go quite as planned, and I still don't know for sure what those were because Nicole just handled it. I see that as a sign of an excellent vendor.

Best. Coordinators. Ever.

We had such a pleasure working with Lynn, Rachel & Kyle at The Finer Points. As a very detailed person, it was appreciated that I could pass off my vision and trust these ladies would see it through so I could enjoy the day. From the beginning, I felt in good hands. They took notes of everything that I envisioned happening at our wedding. Rachel developed a wedding timeline that was easy to follow and share with others filled with diagrams and notes for all vendors. Rehearsal and Day of were kept on schedule due to their amazing coordination with all involved. I felt relief when I saw Rachel walk into my getting-ready room the morning of the wedding. If I needed anything or wanted anything changed, Rachel and Kyle made it happen. They were able to give me advice when I could not make a decision, they packed everything up so nicely at the end of the night and even secured us dinner/cake after the wedding when we came off the high and were ready to eat. I highly recommend these ladies, they will allow you to enjoy your day and make your dreams come true!!

Outstanding!

We had the pleasure of working with Lynn for my daughter's wedding in Northern VA in mid-September. I can't say enough about how wonderful she is to work with. From the moment we met her with our initial inquires to the very last detail of the wedding, Lynn was professional, accommodating, kind, and provided us with the best advice and information for every aspect of the wedding. Back in the day the venue handled everything, so we were quite overwhelmed with the decisions we had to make from the silverware to the food, linens, etc. Lynn guided us from start to finish, leaving us with very little worry that the planning was in the right hands. Even more, my daughter and husband live across the country so it was a challenge to all get together for group planning, but Lynn made it work, even attending virtual meetings over the weekend or at 8PM. She was very reasonably priced compared to other planners, and she provided us with her caring personal touch, vendor recommendations, and other suggestions to help with our decision making. Not once did she say "no, that can't be done." I have a Type A personality, as does my daughter, so letting go of the reins wasn't easy for us, but we were in such capable hands with Lynn and her team. The wedding day went smoothly, with Lynn taking care of all our needs. I can't recommend her enough - if you have any reservations at all, I'd be happy to get on the phone with you to sing her praises. Thank you, Lynn and The Finer Points, for your help making my daughter's wedding an amazing event!

Victoria was an incredible partner throughout the entire wedding process. She brought our beach wedding dreams to life, and we will be forever grateful for the special day she created for us. Our wedding was a dream

The Finer Points was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our venue required day of coordination and I’m so happy they did. The Finer Points from start to finish were spot on. We worked closely with the owner Lynn before the wedding. She helped with our scheduling and thought through all of our ideas. Then the week of Nicole Dukas took over as our lead coordinator. She gave our whole wedding party schedules the day before, led our rehearsal, and led our wedding the day of perfectly. From keeping the calm, designing a gorgeous space and even doing an alcohol run mid wedding she took care of everything!!! Would recommend to anyone!

Work with them!

Lynn and the whole Finer Points team was amazing! We hired her as our wedding coordinator for our May, 2024 wedding at Murray Hill in Leesburg. From the first meeting, she was professional, gave helpful vendor recommendations, and the planning began! Throughout the few months that we worked with her, Lynn kept us on track for the months leading up to the wedding with a schedule that became essential in our planning and for the day of the wedding. She was great in communicating with all of our vendors, and was especially helpful with the caterer, which was such a big part of the planning. We couldn't imagine our wedding day without Lynn and Rachel from The Finer Points! They took control of the whole day and relived much of the burden that would've otherwise been on myself and family. SOS no more

I literally won the jackpot with Lynn of The Finer Points!!! You see, I had started planning our small July wedding at the end of March and thought I had it all under control... I was overcome with stress from spreading myself too thin trying to manage it all myself, and keep pace with my daily life and work routines. I had everything prepared - venue, music, food, photography, hair/makeup, rough timeline - but had I missed something?
I AM SOOOO INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL for Lynn. She accommodated our hectic schedules to do a venue walk through and I immediately knew we had the best. She's simply a gem of a person, extremely communicative, professional, poised, and honest! (as someone else put it!) She helped us quickly problem solve ideas to maintain the feel we wanted and NOT compromise on what WE WANTED!!
Trust all of us, you need Lynn's services if you want your wedding day to be truly exceptional (AND stress-free). Don't be like me and seek help 2-3 weeks before your day. Yes it's "just a day" to some and "the best day" to others; the excitement and stress that weddings breed is REAL. Don't get lost in it --- call Lynn sooner than later!

You Need Lynn if you want a Perfect Wedding!

Lynn is amazing! She was highly recommended to me by a friend when I realized I could never plan my wedding on my own. She was by my side from beginning to end.

We had an initial meeting in her lovely studio where we talked about my vision, budget, expectations, and her process. From there, Lynn recommended all of my wonderful vendors, she came to multiple vendor meetings with me, and even came to my home for a final meeting before the "big day" to make sure everything was lined up and organized. She was extremely communicative, professional, poised, and honest!

And finally, Lynn facilitated everything that happened on my wedding day. She came to my hotel room in the morning to make sure I was happy, she worked with my vendors at the venue to make sure my vision was executed to perfection, and was by my side throughout the entire night to make sure it all went smoothly.

My wedding day was everything I imagined it would be, and more. It was absolutely perfect in every way, and I could have never done it on my own. Trust me, you need Lynn's help if you want your wedding day to be truly exceptional (and stress-free). She is amazing!

The best investment for our big day!

Where do we even begin? We had the absolute PLEASURE of working with Victoria and Laura from Finer Points to bring our Corolla, NC wedding to life in June of 2023. Victoria was our primary planner and we cannot sing her praises enough.

Planning a destination wedding (we live in NY) comes with a unique set of challenges. Even if you’re familiar with the area, like we were, there were so many details, questions and decisions that need to be made. It had the potential to feel daunting but Victoria guided us through with ease. She is highly organized, equal parts conceptual and detail-oriented. We were able to describe the “vibes” we wanted our big day to emit and she helped us feel in any gaps we had in our vision.

Once we moved beyond the initial planning stages, Victoria put any of our anxieties at ease about the big day with regular check-ins and an incredibly detailed schedule for rehearsal and wedding day. She (and the entire Finer Points team) are thoughtful, accommodating and best of all, resourceful. We threw them a few curve balls along the way (e.g. wanting to work with our own DJ but needing to rent equipment locally) and they were more than happy to help us. We really felt like we had a partner in the wedding planning experience—someone who was on our side.

If you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, all I can say is that this investment was more than worth it in our opinion.

Lynn knows everyone in Leesburg, which made coordination between vendors so simple and stress-free! We cannot recommend The Finer Points Coastal enough!! We got married in Corolla, NC in April 2022 and we can honestly say that there is no way our wedding would have been such as success if not for the Finer Points. Laura and Tori were incredible throughout the entire process and took out so much of the stress of wedding planning. Their communication in emails, zoom calls, and in-person was outstanding. I never felt like any question I had was too big or too small and they were always quick to respond with advice.

As someone who’s strong suit is not in design, I was initially worried about choosing things like color palettes and decorations myself. However, working with Laura and Tori allowed the visions of my perfect wedding to come to life. It was incredible how they were able to put together exactly what we wanted from just a few pictures and ideas. The reception turned out even more beautiful than we could have imagined and perfectly represented us as a couple.

The day-of coordinating was also very impressive, Laura and Tori truly went above and beyond to make sure we and our guests had the best day possible. They had the schedule of events planned to the minute and it made the entire day so much less stressful.

Personally, Laura and Tori’s enthusiasm and passion for our wedding was apparent in everything they did. By wedding day, it honestly felt like we had known them for years and they became like family. We could feel their excitement for us and that made the day even more special. We have nothing but praise for The Finer Points Coastal and highly recommend them for your wedding!

Laura and Victoria from The Finer Points Coastal are Amazing!!!

Selecting The Finer Points Coastal to be the wedding planner for our daughter’s April 30, 2022 Whalehead Club wedding was by far the best decision we made. A wedding planner is the foundation on which all other wedding decisions are made, and Laura and Victoria were simply amazing to work with. They were meticulous throughout the entire process and brought to life a vision that our daughter and her husband had only previously dreamed about. Their ability to ask the right questions and to understand the concept of what we were trying to accomplish and then turn it into reality created a magical experience that none of us will ever forget. Laura and Victoria exhibit a unique passion for their craft and an enthusiasm that is a rare combination to find. It is clear how much pride they take in their work. Their love of the Outer Banks and experience with the area was apparent and helped make us feel at ease throughout the process. Their communication skills, organization, preparation, follow-up, and execution all receive 5+ stars! They are experts in wedding etiquette and think of every detail which is especially important when planning for a venue such as the Whalehead Club. Our 170 guests could not stop complimenting us on the ceremony, décor, layout, and cocktail hour/reception and we owe this to the vision shown by Laura and Victoria. Our officiant, who has presided over more than 200 weddings, told us that this was the most special and unique wedding he had ever attended.
And possibly the best part of the experience is that Laura and Victoria have become a part of our family in the process, and we will forever be grateful for them making this day so special for all of us. Mother of the Bride

As the mother of the bride I would give the Finer Points and Laura B six stars if I could! The attention to detail and personalization was second to none. Laura was a wealth of information with amazing ideas and follow through. From the coordination of multiple vendors to calling audibles for a rainy weekend full of events, Laura and her team were always thinking ahead. My daughter’s wedding weekend was a “dream,” her words! All of our guests remarked on what a wonderful time they had and without a doubt that was made possible because of Laura and Finer Points.

Laura and Victoria are simply amazing planners to work with! They were super easy to work with and their attention to detail is impeccable. They are very good at keeping in communication with their clients and vendors. They remained attentive and invested in their clients' rental orders from the start and were well organized! They also made sure cleanup and breakdown ran smoothly and everything was cleaned up as needed, which allowed our crew to have a smooth breakdown and pickup of the items they rented and the tent and dance floor. We loved working with them and we are excited to work with them again in the future!

Lynn & Nicole are the BEST!!

Lynn and Nicole at The Finer Points are truly the best coordinators we could have asked for. We book the day of package and the help and coordination they provided was truly the greatest. We can honestly say our wedding would not have turned out as perfect as it did without Lynn and Nicole. We got so much assistance from both ladies leading up to our wedding. From helping us find vendors, assisting us with food selections, helping decide reception layouts, to everything in between, and most importantly to helping us on our wedding day, Nicole and Lynn did an outstanding job. I know some people get hesitant to book a coordinator for their big day and thinking they can do it all themselves, please book with The Finer Points. They helped our day run smoothly without any issues, that we know of, and made our day truly magical and perfect. Nicole was with us all day on the day of and she was so professional and truly helped ease any worries and potential issues. Our favorite part of wedding planning

Collaborating with Lynn at The Finer Points was the best part of our wedding planning experience by far. Lynn was always calm, has so much experience and guidance on weddings in the Loudon area, and made sure we were on track. When we started wedding planning in January 2021 for a 2022 wedding, we didn't know what to expect with covid. Lynn helped us find affordable vendors, work with them to bring our vision to life, and ensure everything went smoothly during the weekend itself. She was always available to answer questions too, which we really appreciated. Thank you to Lisa who helped on our big day as well! I will miss talking to Lynn regularly now that our wedding is over :)

So grateful for The Finer Points!

We are so grateful to have hired The Finer Points for our October 2021 wedding. Laura was our lead and she was assisted by Nicole. These ladies were just rays of sunshine to work with, which alleviated so much of the stresses that often come from wedding planning. Laura was incredibly organized and thoughtful in remembering little details that were very important to my husband and me. I am the type of bride that is super organized, super type-A, and also super obsessed with the wedding industry itself (I could look at tablescapes, wedding dresses, decor, reception decor etc all day), so it was really important to me to find a planner that embraced my knowledge of the industry and desire to be involved, particularly the design process. Laura did an excellent job of helping me focus my ideas and achieve my design vision in a way that met my budget. You NEED This Team!

Having a planner/coordinator for your wedding is an absolute must! Laura Billak with the Finer Points was our saving grace throughout the entire process. They were the first vendor we booked after we secured our venue - and we found them because of the venue's high recommendation for them. Now we know why! Laura knows the wedding industry inside and out. She was there through every step of the way and made sure that we stayed on schedule with our planning and organization leading up to the big day. She was always available to speak to me - exchanging emails, texts, and calls at any time I needed her. The Perfect Wedding thanks to Lynn and Nicole from The Finer Points

We had the most amazing wedding experience all thanks to Lynn and Nicole from the Finer Points. It exceeded any expectations that we had and Lynn knocked it out of the park! Our wedding experience with Lynn and the Finer Points was definitely a journey as we originally had our wedding scheduled on September 2020.

As we all know, we had to reschedule and push it back to October 2021 due to the pandemic. Lynn was with us every step of the way these past 2 years and we could not have asked for a better planner to help navigate us through this experience. During our journey of planning and replanning, Lynn had a group of trusted vendors that she recommended to us. The florist that she recommended understood our vision to a T and put out the most amazing floral package together. Our original caterer had to drop due to the pandemic but Lynn quickly had a strong alternative recommendation and our guest genuinely enjoyed the food and the presentation of everything. Lynn had prior experiences with the venue so she knew exactly what to do and how to make our venue perfect for our amazing day. Every recommendation that Lynn provided to us turned out to be AMAZING recommendations. There is obviously a lot of stress that comes with wedding planning, but Lynn always provided comfort to us every time we spoke and helped us navigate any questions or concerns we had.

After all of the planning and replanning, our wedding day nears and we hear the scary news that there's potential for rain! Luckily, Lynn had the foresight to plan a rain backup plan just in case (luckily we didn't need it!). Throughout the planning efforts, Lynn and the Finer Points created a detailed itinerary for the day that was executed to a T! We had some last minute scope creep as our families wanted to add some traditional Chinese tea ceremonies but Lynn was able to accommodate us and add that to the schedule.

Here comes the wedding day. Lynn and Nicole had FLAWLESS execution. Lynn and Nicole were in contact with all of our vendors throughout the lead-up and the day itself -- so all of the set up was executed perfectly. As the processional of the ceremony was about to start, it started to rain! Obviously that stressed the wedding party out but Lynn was super calm and her presence calmed us down. The rain passed within a minute or two and the ceremony was executed flawlessly. Lynn and Nicole were amazing throughout the rest of the night and helped us, our guest, and our vendors with everything throughout the night.

We cannot state enough, THANK YOU LYNN, NICOLE, AND THE FINER POINTS for the most perfect wedding we could have asked for that far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Lynn, Nicole, and the Finer Points to anyone as they helped us with our dream wedding.

SO Thankful for Lynn and her Team!!

If you're looking for the ultimate coordinator, Lynn and her team REALLY knocked it out of the park. We hired Lynn as a day of coordinator, but she did so much more than just prep us a few weeks in advance of our wedding. During the COVID pandemic she offered advice, made phone calls, and helped us navigate the challenges associated with moving our wedding. She helped ease the stress, kept the information transparent, and followed up with the necessary vendors when we ran into hiccups.

Before our wedding this summer Lynn stepped in and helped so much with the coordination and execution of our dream wedding. When we had a last minute change of plans, she and her team effortlessly stepped in, addressed it, and made a new plan (something as a Type A person I LOVE). They made our wedding beautiful and I cannot imagine the day without their help. If you're on the fence about a coordinator, or are unsure of who to chose - I promise you will not be disappointed by Lynn and her incredible team.

Absolutely Perfect!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Lynn and The Finer Points. We met with Lynn early in the planning process, and she was an incredibly valuable resource to us throughout, especially navigating the challenges that COVID presented. She was super organized, responsive, open to all of our ideas and suggestions, and thoughtful about considerations on how to make the day as pleasant for our guests as possible. She gave us recommendations on vendors who all turned out amazing, she took point on communication with our venue owner which saved us a ton of time throughout the planning process, but where she really stood out was on our wedding day. Lynn put together an amazing schedule and coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure that everyone was on the same page, and throughout our wedding she was constantly on top of every little item and timing, handled issues that popped up with ease, and generally made sure we, our guests, and our vendors were crystal clear on where they should be and when. Laura made our wedding day dreams come true! “Above and Beyond”, as that is the approach she takes in her event coordination. From her wonderful vendor recommendations, her fastidious planning ahead with vendors, to her flawless day-of coordination, we would not have had the wedding weekend we had without her. Excellent Service

There is no doubt that among the best decisions we made in planning our daughter’s wedding was to hire Lynn Iannizzi and the Finer Points to assist us in the planning. From the moment we met Lynn we were very impressed by her pleasant, personable, and genuinely caring nature and calm demeanor. We knew that she would be of great assistance to us and the perfect person to help with the planning. It was readily apparent that Lynn’s years of wedding and event planning experience would help us navigate through the wedding planning process and select vendors that would best meet our needs. As we ultimately discovered, she turned out to be far more than the perfect wedding planner and exceeded all of our expectations.
We were well into planning for a July 2020 wedding and had everything lined up only to be faced with restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 Pandemic. We decided to reschedule the wedding for November 2020 and Lynn immediately dove in and successfully worked with all of our vendors to reschedule a November wedding. As the November wedding approached, more restrictions were imposed and we had to again adjust the wedding plans. Again, being the consummate planning professional that she is, Lynn was instrumental in helping us coordinate all of the additional changes that were necessary for the wedding and reception, even though both events would have to be phased back. Lynn calmly coordinated and guided us through all of the necessary changes, and because of her personal involvement and attention to detail, we were ultimately able to have a smaller yet still beautiful and memorable wedding ceremony and family dinner.
Lynn’s guidance and suggestions on venues, vendors and approaches for the wedding were excellent. From day one she was personally committed to making the wedding successful, always listened carefully to and respected what we wanted, offered thoughtful recommendations, and never failed to quickly respond to us when we had a question or needed her advice. She is a skilled wedding planner and we will always be thankful for her caring and tireless support. We look forward to working with Lynn as we plan a larger reception in the future.

Above & beyond

From the beginning of our planning process, Lynn was incredible! She made us feel heard, gave great suggestions and was always just an email or call away. Less than 2 months before the wedding, we made the hard call to change from a 200+ person affair to a 15 person family only ceremony. Lynn was my calm through it all - she knew exactly how to scale down the event and took care of all of our logistics and details. Then, in the days leading up to our "mini-mony", a hurricane hit the weather forecast. Lynn did a phenomenal job of coaching me through when decisions such as to move the dinner indoors (a poor option given COVID) needed to be made. Ultimately, we the weather held off and she made the venue look absolutely beautiful. I truly could not have made it through the day without her, and cannot wait to have her support our larger ceremony next year.

Best choice we made!

I had the pleasure of working with Lynn for my 9/26 wedding, and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing she was. There is absolutely no way we could have pulled off our special day without her commitment, expertise, and passion. Due to covid, we were faced with the task of replanning our wedding essentially from scratch in late June. From the moment we reached out to Lynn, her warm and welcoming demeanor made working with her both enjoyable and easy. I appreciated her flexibility and clear communication, especially when I went back to work as a kindergarten teacher via distance learning. Had I been left to coordinate all the details on my own (which I foolishly thought I could at one point), I am confident everything would have fallen apart. Instead, Lynn fully took over the reigns and communicated on my behalf with the various vendors we used.

When the wedding weekend arrived she was incredibly professional, energetic, and patient. I was able to fully enjoy my day knowing that Lynn had everything taken care of, right down to bringing her husband and his truck to the venue to move a generator! There were so many details in both the scheduling and the design of our wedding that I never would have thought of, but she made everything run like a well oiled machine. What’s more, she made us feel so special while doing all of the above. I cannot speak highly enough of everything that she did and would make the decision to work with her ten times over.

Detail oriented; precision execution;

I was skeptical on the need for a planner. We already booked a venue and the church and were well on the way to choosing vendors. I thought it was an unnecessary indulgence, but in the end, it was one of the best decisions we made. Thanks to Lynn's precision execution and calm demeanor, our daughter's wedding day, in the middle of a pandemic, was perfect. Through the process of planning, Lynn took the time to get to know and understand not only the bride and groom's wants and needs, but also both sets of parents who wanted to participate in the event. Great coordination

One of the best pieces of wedding advice we were given was to hire a coordinator, and Lynn was definitely the right choice. Lynn has been in the business for many years, so she truly knows the ins and outs of coordinating a wedding. Which is great, because we did not! She was helpful through some of the late planning stages, and made sure we were asking the right questions. She really shined in the final couple weeks. You think you've got it together, but stress levels go through the roof, and Lynn— who recognizes this, because she's been doing it much longer than we have— responded calmly to all our panicky emails, and was flexible to make schedule changes we wanted. She knew our vendors well, which was also helpful in terms of making sure everyone was on the same page for putting a schedule together. Rehearsal and wedding day went off perfectly, and Lynn made sure everything was taken care of!

Best day ever

We hired Lynn to help us with my daughters wedding in Leesburg VA. Lynn was such a pleasure to work with and my daughters wedding day was absolutely perfect !! Lynn was absolutely amazing for our wedding! We used the full service package and I am so glad we did. We ended up having to change planners with only 6 months before the wedding and she made everything go perfectly. The fact she was able to put this wedding together on such short notice should tell you how organized and efficient she is. Lynn is so approachable and easy to talk to. I felt that I got along with her immediately and was calm, cool and collected in the face of the last minute changes, AND dealing with an impending HURRICANE the day of the wedding!!!
I didn't know exactly how I wanted my wedding to look - I just wanted a fun party that I could enjoy with my family and friends, and she helped me create the event I hazily imagined. Her vendor recommendations were all spot on as well.
I can't say enough good things about Lynn; I am SO happy she planned my wedding and I would tell anyone to choose her, 100%.

Felicia Kettler is my hero! She beautifully navigated challenging family dynamics and made sure everything went smoothly. As the bride, if anythjnf was amiss I was not aware of it as she ensured that it was taken care of. We also had an anxiety-induced week as a hurricane was headed for our wedding, and while it ended up missing us, Felicia worked double time to ensure the event was flawless- rain, shine or hurricane. Most importantly, Felicia made sure that I (the bride) got the wedding that I wanted. She is SO organized. I miss working with her!

We hired The Finer Points as our day-of-coordinator for our June 2018 wedding at Murray Hill in Leesburg. I can't say enough wonderful things about Laura! Both Laura and Lynn sat down with my husband and I about 3 months before our wedding to go over details and ask us questions about our day and what we expected. We then had a venue walk through with both of them, along with our caterer and the manager of our band. Laura was also there for our rehearsal and made sure everyone got a copy of our timeline and was on the same page. Laura and Lynn were both so positive and excited about our vision and I always felt super confident about our plan with every meeting.

Laura was the lead for our wedding and she did a great job! The one thing I love about her is she has such a positive attitude which is so helpful when you're the bride and get stressed easily. In my stressed out haste right before the wedding, I told her my vision for the DYI decor I had brought to the wedding and she just took it and made everything look beautiful. She was very easy to get in touch with. I was able to text her about anything and she would make it happen or figure out a plan. She even texted me the night before the wedding to remind me to take a moment during the wedding to take it all in and enjoy the day. She took plenty of pictures and sent them to me afterwards. She also texted me photos of another wedding she did a few weeks before that had the same draping that I was going to have so I could see what it would look like. Her main goal was to always keep me informed when necessary and stress free! Laura went above and beyond and helped take the stress away from me and my husband and our families on the day of our wedding, which was my goal from day one. Everything went smoothly and it was a day that we will never forget! I would absolutely recommend The Finer Points to anyone!

P.S. My in-laws also hired Laura to plan the rehearsal dinner at their house. It was equally as wonderful!

We hired Lynn under her partial planning wedding package for our October 2017 wedding and it was probably the smartest decision we made in the planning process! Lynn helped with suggesting multiple vendors, as well as working as our wedding day coordinator. Lynn was extremely friendly and easy to work with, and always made herself available by email/phone whenever we had questions or concerns. She helped coordinate visits with vendors and was present for our meetings with them. She was there to ask all the questions us wedding novices didn’t think to ask. This was particularly helpful during our walkthrough at the venue. While it was very helpful for Lynn to assist us along the way with vendors and general coordination, we truly valued her help the final month prior to the wedding and day of. During the final weeks leading up to the wedding, Lynn created a detailed Schedule of Events, confirmed with vendors and helped fine tune the details. She ran our rehearsal and helped coordinate the basics of the ceremony in conjunction with our officiant. After the rehearsal was finished, she made sure we had transferred to her possessions everything we would need to set up for the next day (e.g. candles, decorations, etc.). All of these items ended up where they were supposed to be on the wedding day.
The day of Lynn was wonder woman. She was here, there and everywhere coordinating everyone from the bride and groom to the rest of the wedding party and families. We never heard about anything that went wrong because she was silently handling it! We highly recommend Lynn. She was pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job!

We cannot say enough great things about the Finer Points and we love Laura. We first met Lynn and hired the Finer Points for Day Of Coordination. We had our wedding at our home in the backyard and we originally reached out to her to destress the prospect of having 60 people at our house and dealing with setup, vendors, etc. We didn't expect to get SO much more. From the moment we met Laura, she blew us away. She really got to know us and understood what we wanted, which was an outdoor rustic wedding with our closest family and friends. Laura helped with catering, met with the florist and managed the tent. I was amazed every time I went to a meeting with her because she was totally in control, which meant I did not have to be. She sent us tons of pictures and ideas whenever she saw something she thought we might like. For the day of, she was everywhere. From looking for sprinkler heads with the tent people to stringing lights in trees and sweeping my patio, to ensuring linens and centerpieces were perfect to making sure every last candle was where it was supposed to be. She was WONDERFUL. She even captured pictures and videos on her phone that everyone else missed. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and everything we hoped for. There is no way it would have been the same without her. She did everything possible to remove our stress so we could enjoy every moment. Hiring the Finer Points was absolutely the best decision we made in our wedding planning and I highly recommend them. A wedding takes months to plan but in the end, it only lasts for what feels like seconds. We are so glad we remember and enjoyed every one of those seconds thanks to Laura's help.

Lynn is amazing! I was planning a wedding in less than 6 months and decided about 2 months in to hire a planner. I opted to just hire Lynn as a day of coordinator, but she was really so much more than that. She was so responsive and helpful when I just needed some advice, about hotels, transportation options, etc. We had two great meetings, one early on, and one a little before the wedding, and I could just feel the stress melt off me when we met. She has everything so organized and under control, knowing every little detail of what we wanted. The day was perfect. Even when it suddenly seemed it might rain for our outdoor ceremony, she made me feel confident that if it started in the middle, she had a plan. (luckily it didn't) The reception was beyond perfect - if anything went wrong and needed fixing, I had no idea about it. All our decor, was placed exactly as we hoped. We had some special things like videos we wanted played, and she worked with the DJ to make sure everything was set up and it all went off without a hitch. We had some timing issues due to longer than planned speeches, etc, and she helped us change plans on the fly and move things along. People told me something would go wrong, but with Lynn, NOTHING DID! We just had the best time and didn't worry about anything. She's also just a sweet, nice person to work with - I felt like I was working with a good friend!

Words can not express how grateful I am to Lynn for being the most level headed, organized, thoughtful, meticulous, and amazing wedding coordinator. My original wedding coordinator quit just 6 weeks before my wedding and I was scrambling to find a new one. Lynn came to my rescue!

She was a pleasure to work with, she was knew exactly what to do for every situation, she listened to me, she understood my vision for my wedding day and she executed it perfectly.

I actually ended up getting terribly ill right before our dinner and reception were supposed to start. I couldn't greet my guests, I couldn't keep any eye on anything because I couldn't even stand up and Lynn took care of everything. She was calm and thoughtful and kept everything moving forward so that guests weren't the wiser that the bride was missing. She rolled with the punches, made quick changes to our timeline to accommodate my getting sick, and even stayed later than she was contracted for so that she could make sure I was able to rejoin my guests and reception.

She is worth every single penny! And her prices are very reasonable.

Lyn Iannizzi was the best decision we made in planning my daughter’s wedding. She was organized and unflappable. She answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns before the wedding and during the wedding and reception made sure everything went smoothly and according to plan. Lynn is very knowledgeable about all things wedding and thought of things we never would have. Before the ceremony she made sure everyone was in the correct place and coached us on what to do when. During the reception, Lynn was there to coordinate with the DJ and make sure the toasts, speeches, first dance, cake cutting, etc. went off without a hitch. Hiring Lynn as my day of planner from the Finer Points was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day. My family and I literally said that to one another over and over. From our first conversation, she made me feel at ease, and I loved that she asked all the questions I didn't even know needed to be answered. On the day of the wedding, she orchestrated the rehearsal and impressed all of us with her knowledge of Jewish weddings. Lynn at The Finer Points did an amazing job as our day-of wedding coordinator! She was involved and handling details starting weeks before the wedding, too. I didn't worry about anything on the wedding day- Lynn handled all the contracts, tips, having the vendors set up, making sure everything in the venue was set up perfectly- the list goes on and on! She was even in contact with the shuttle drivers as they were en route to make sure the timing was perfect! And at the end of the night, Lynn made sure all of our things were nicely packed up and ready for us to pick up in the morning. SOOO happy we hired her! My wife and I had an enormously positive experience working with Lynn and the Finer Points and would recommend them to all of our friends in a heartbeat.

We booked the Finer Points after looking at at least a dozen day-of coordinators and it was an easy decision because of the Finer Point's competitive pricing, particularly compared with all the services offered, and Lynn's wealth of knowledge and experience.

Lynn worked with us in the months leading up to the wedding, quickly and fully answering all our various questions about details and minutiae that go into planning a wedding. She was very accessible.

She worked seamlessly with all our vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. She created a timeline for the wedding wedding for the bridal party and the vendors to make sure everyone knew what had to be done when and who needed to be where, down to the minute.

Felicia ROCKS! One of the main reasons we wanted a day-of coordinator was to be guests at our own wedding. The Finer Points did exactly that. Felicia was absolutely on top of everything—from putting together a detailed timeline to helping the guys with their boutonnieres, and even details we didn’t even think of! Felicia went out of her way to help with it all and ensure everything ran smoothly. She was responsive, energetic, absolutely detail oriented, and most importantly we felt like she was a part of our family. She was such a huge help coordinating with all of the vendors before the wedding to ensure they were where they needed to be the day of the event. She was a blast to work with; we had so much fun planning! Felicia contributed tremendously to the wedding of our dreams going off without a hitch!

We had the best experience with Lynn! Both of us are busy professionals and Lynn did an amazing job helping us select vendors, answering e-mails, and making sure that all the details were taken care of and that we were staying on target with our timeline. We did not have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding. She is so sweet and the vendors she recommended were all wonderful! She was the perfect wedding planner!

Lynn was absolutely amazing! She was our day of coordinator but did SO much more.

From our first meeting, we were highly impressed with Lynn’s professionalism, responsiveness and valuable ideas. We felt that Lynn was with us throughout our wedding planning process, even months, weeks and days before. She was extremely helpful in coordinating our other vendors and took away any stress and outstanding issues.

We highly recommend Lynn and she was one of our best wedding investments. I am not sure what we would have done without her and she helped make our wedding...the best day ever!

I hired Lynn as the Day of Coordinator because we were having our wedding at a family farm. I wanted to enjoy my wedding day and not be worried about coordination of vendors, etc. Lynn was perfect for the job and I really liked her from the start! She was very friendly and made me feel at ease. She was super understanding in everything we asked of her. She was a huge reason why everything went according to schedule and I didn't know of any mishaps or issues because she took care of it all. I hired Lynn as my day-of-coordinator about a month before my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I made in the entire planning process. I was feeling nervous about all of the little details coming together and after my initial phone call with Lynn, all of my nerves were gone. She was extremely flexible in meeting with me to go over everything I had planned and really helped me make those important last minute decisions. Lynn put together our entire wedding weekend timeline, coordinated timing with all of my vendors, had advice for different parts of the evening and etiquette, and even brought a beautiful birdcage to use as a card box and a ring bearer pillow for us to use!

Lynn is a joy to work with. She is extremely professional and kind and you feel like you've known her for months the second you meet her. My entire bridal party and family was so appreciative of her help in directing us where we needed to be, setting up all of our family pictures and favors, handing out vendor tips, and helping clean up at the end of the evening. Knowing I had Lynn there allowed us to not have to worry about a single thing the day of the wedding.

I will admit I was at first hesitant to hire someone so close to my wedding date, but decided to think of it as an investment in all the time and money I had already spent on my other vendors, and it was well worth the extra expense! Lynn's advice, knowledge of the area and the flow of a wedding at my venue, and her relationships with all of my vendors was invaluable. The day would not have gone as smoothly and I wouldn't have been as relaxed without Lynn. I highly recommend hiring The Finer Points!

I can't say enough nice things about Lynn. First and forermos she walked me through the process while my wife was out of town finishing her graduate degree. Lynn was very flexible with meetings and worked around my work schedule. The vendors she worked with were professional and reasonably priced. The wedding went so well that people are still talking about.

Hiring Lynn and The Finer Points, LLC was the best decision I made during the wedding planning process. My wedding day went smoothly -- exactly on schedule and all of the vendors showed up and did what they were supposed to do, thanks to Lynn. My husband, our parents and I were able to actually enjoy our wedding day, which was invaluable.

I chose the "Wedding Day Coordination" package as I had already picked many of the vendors, and our venue, a hotel, offered catering and other services. My now-husband and I initially met with Lynn about six weeks prior to our wedding, although we had already been in touch prior to that time (and she was very responsive). She was flexible with our busy schedules. Lynn knew all of the right questions to ask, and she put together an incredibly detailed schedule of events and contact list for all of our vendors.

The few weeks leading up to our wedding were, for the most part, the least stressful of the entire wedding planning process because Lynn took over. She stepped in and was the contact point for all of the vendors, so that I didn't have to check in with them or confirm anything in the weeks leading up to the wedding. And on the day of the wedding, she was coordinating everything behind the scenes, so that neither my parents nor I had to deal with vendors and all of the many little details that make up your wedding day (e.g. the shuttle showed up on time to the hotel to pick us up, the cake was delivered to the hotel and was the cake that we had actually ordered, the organist showed up on time to the church, the ceremony programs were passed out to our guests, the DJ was ready to go for cocktail hour when we arrived back to the hotel, etc. etc.). Throughout the entire process she very calm and detail-focused, which is exactly what I wanted and needed in a coordinator.

If I had to do it all over, I'd definitely choose Lynn again as she gave us (our parents included!) peace of mind and the opportunity enjoy our wedding day

I cannot rave enough about The Finer Points! I reached out to Lynn initially who wasn't available but she pointed me in the direction of Felicia Kettler, who works with her. I could not have asked for a more responsive, patient, fun and detail oriented wedding planner. Felicia went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect prior to my wedding and on the actual day. She was also my voice of reason during the planning process ensuring I stayed calm and to leave the work to her. Although I hired her as a "day of" planner, she assisted me months prior to the wedding date without hesitation. She reached out to all of the vendors, provided a detailed timeline, assisted with the seating, visited the venue multiple times, and the list goes on to make sure all ran smoothly the day of the wedding. My wedding had a lot of moving parts since it was a dual ceremony, we had a bagpiper, Celtic band, DJ, etc. but at no point was I worried things weren't flowing as they should. I knew Felicia had everything under control, and that she did! Many of my family and friends commented on Felicia's skill to maintain a calm demeanor while having fun running the "show".

Felicia is truly an amazing wedding planner who as I like to say is a "hidden gem"! For any future brides needing help with their wedding, contact The Finer Points and ask for Felicia!

Lynn I at the Finer Points was wonderful to work with. She has a great calming manner, and perfect disposition to deal with any family. She was extremely responsive to any questions, and always available when needed. She made helpful recommendations, and volunteered to bring extra items that were useful. Amazing. I can't even describe how helpful Lynn was and how valuable she was to my wedding. The cost was completely worth the time and energy put into the wedding, and to me personally. She was beyond helpful and I can't imagine what I would have done without her. She was constantly accessible for any questions I had, big or small. Hiring Lynn to help us on our daughter's wedding day (4/12/2014) was the very best decision I made. Knowing that I could spend the day with our daughter and really enjoy her wedding day without any worry about the set up or the ceremony timing was so wonderful. I totally trusted Lynn and knew that she would do an amazing job. From the minute I met her, I knew we were going to be a good team. Lynn is calm and detail focused. She really tries to get to know you so that she can get a good feel for how you want your day to go. She is easy to talk to, has great suggestions and is very knowlegeable about etiquette and other wedding matters. She put together a great timeline and managed it perfectly throughout the day and it just made everything flow. Lynn stayed until the very end and made sure all the gifts were handed off and all the important items were ready to be returned. We only have one daughter but if we had to plan another wedding there is no doubt that I would ask Lynn to help us again.

Lynn was nothing short of INCREDIBLE. It was the best day of our lives. We hired the Finer Points for Day of Coordinating services. After a hectic year of planning, I wanted the day to go smoothly and to be honest....be able to tune out any issues and focus entirely on my husband. Lynn allowed us to do that. From our grandmothers to our parents, a six month old flower girl and more, Lynn attended to everyone's needs. Everything was on time and looked perfect. Lynn is a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful for her help!

I interviewed a few different planners in the area and was instantly impressed with The Finer Points. We paid for a partial planning package which was a great value for how wonderful our planner was. That said, Lynn Iannizzi is incredible! She is very knowledgeable and her vendor recommendations were awesome. I never felt like she was nickel-and-diming us, as it frequently felt during other aspects of our wedding. She was always available to discuss the wedding and made honest recommendations. She was always responsive and flexible. Lynn was definitely a calming force during the final planning months. Her day-of coordination was flawless (despite my sometimes vague explanations of my vision :) ). The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flowed seamlessly despite complicated transportation and time gaps. We honestly could not have planned such a beautiful event without Lynn!

Lynn was wonderful to work with. She was our day-of coordinator but she really went above and beyond that, meeting with me several times at my venue to iron out all the details. We had a ton of decor and a lot of different vendors coming in and she helped set everything up perfectly and directed all the vendors so that everything ran smoothly. On the day of the wedding my husband and I were able to just relax and have a fantastic time because Lynn handled everything for us, even staying later than she was supposed to per the contract. In general she was very professional but also friendly and just a lovely person to work with. I highly recommend her!!

After our initial meeting with Lynn, it was clear she was the best choice for us. We opted for the total wedding planning, and we are so glad we did. Lynn worked hard to make our wedding day the beautiful, fun, and memorable day it was. We had a simply amazing time, and I appreciate everything she did - from her extensive network of great vendors, to the final touches on the amenity boxes she provided for our out-of-town guests. Everyone kept telling us what a wonderful time they were having. I know this was in no small part due to her talents, and abilities to pull together my "dream team" for the day! She gave me great peace of mind, and that allowed me to actually relax and enjoy our wedding day.

Lynn was my wedding planner and she was awesome. She was always available via email/phone when needed and there were a lot of emails! :) She advised me on everything that needed to be done which is exactly what I needed.

Besides all the planning & details that went into the wedding, the reason I would highly recommend The Finer Points is that despite a bad storm/tornado hitting our outdoor reception tent right before the reception started we had to move to a plan b very quickly and if Lynn & Priscilla weren't there to facilitate I'm not sure what we would've done. We managed to have a wedding indoors with music, food, booze and great friends & family! But definitely needed somewhere there to direct the guests, caterer, DJ, venue staff, etc. Without them, I honestly don't know how the night would've turned out so thank you to Lynn & Priscilla!!

Lynn (and Priscilla) were both a wonderful help in planning our wedding. We opted for the day-of planning, but we received so much more! Right from the start Lynn gave us suggestions for other vendors, such as the cake baker and florist, who she knew provided quality services and was in our price range. Both suggestions turned out great! The schedule she made for the wedding, as well as her confirming with all of the vendors, made the week before the wedding and the actual wedding totally unstressful, which is what every bride wants. Lynn was also very valuable in answering all of the smaller etiquette type questions like who to tip. Lynn had not worked with our venue before, but she made a special trip to go out before the wedding to tour the facility and discuss details with the managers at the venue. I would definitely recommend the services of the Finer Points because they are worth the money and they go above and beyond.

I used the Finer Points as a day of planner but I was surprised at how involved and helpful Lynn was from the start. She set up several meetings with me WELL in advance of the wedding and offered tips and added value along the way. Her detailed schedule of events for the day was amazing and it was a document that helped keep all the vendors and my wedding party on the same page! Many of my bridesmaids who have been in many weddings were impressed with the detail and direction that Lynn provided in the schedule of events. I cannot say how happy my mom and I were were Lynn and Priscilla - they are true professionals. They were instrumental in the rehearsal and "herding the cats". But above all, the wedding day was FLAWLESS. Lynn ensured everything went smoothly and my mother and I never had to worry about a thing. Hiring Lynn was one of the best decisions we made and $$ VERY WELL SPENT. Having Lynn gave me peace of mind for the 11 months up to my wedding. The execution of the wedding was phenominal. They made everything flawless - from ceremony to reception and all the transitions in between.

Lynn Iannizzi from The Finer Points is the total package. I was not a stressed out bride like many, but I was too laid back. She helped me talk through all of the little details that I had no idea about and she made me feel that everything would be taken care of without a problem.

On the day of my wedding, she made sure everything was perfect and I did not worry about a thing. What's more, and the reason that I hired her...my mother and my friends did not have to worry about a thing either.

I received many complements from friends and family about how organized and friendly Lynn was at the reception. She helped keep things moving and seemed to pop up whenever anyone needed something. If you are thinking of getting a day of coordinator, you need to hire Lynn.
