The dream team of photographers
The choice you make on who to have photograph your wedding is such an important decision, and it's such a great feeling to confidently know you made the right call. Mary and Joe knocked it out of the park!
They were so professional and dedicated to all the details, but more importantly they quickly became friends. We truly felt like we were hanging out with our best friends all day. They are hilarious and made us feel so comfortable and confident on our special day. They captured every single moment, had a perfect back up plan that came into play due to weather, and were so fun to have at our wedding. They both brought such a wonderful and genuine energy to our day.
They provided us with so many amazing memories that we will cherish forever. We will never have blank walls again because of beautiful gallery they gave us. Looking at these photos made us feel like we were right back there in the moment, the best thing is that you can feel the emotion in each one. Every single photo brings warmth to our hearts.
I will rave about them every chance I get. I know that every person who books Mary and Joe for their special day will be so lucky. Looking back now I couldn't imagine anyone else shooting our wedding day. They are incredible at what they do. This is what they were meant to do.

-photographers who would go above and beyond to make you feel like the greatest and most gorgeous power couple they've ever worked with?
-photographers who are also incredibly intelligent and that you can have great conversations with?
So were we, which is why we booked The Bowmans Photo in October 2019! It took me around 2 months of diligent searching for our wedding photographer. Something just never sat perfectly with each photographer we met with until we spoke to Mary. As soon as we got off the phone with her, my partner and I both said "SHE'S THE ONE" and booked her that night.
I am currently going through our engagement gallery and we've never felt more SEEN by anyone other than Mary and Joe. They miraculously knew who we were as a couple and as people and was able to capture it on camera. They gave us beautiful conversations throughout the shoot and were so gracious with their time. I personally have never felt more confident in someone taking my picture until now. I want to cry with how beautiful I feel in our pictures. It captured the way my partner looks at me when I'm not looking and it feels amazing.
Honestly, take the plunge and PLEASE book The Bowmans. We are so incredibly excited for them to shoot our wedding and just to hang out again. They are such fun and beautiful souls. If we decide to have a family, we would probably fly to where they are just so they can take our family photos. Sounds extra, but I said what I said. -

Book them!!
Absolute Perfection! We can’t express the depth of our gratitude for Mary Bowman. On our day, she made us feel comfortable and seemed to genuinely care about our day and getting to know us as people. She was not there to just “snap some photos”. She was there to truly and sincerely capture us and the day. She documented all of the little moments/details and captured our love in a way I only hoped was possible. It is so hard to capture a feeling in a photo, but she really nailed it across the board. If you can, do not hesitate to book Mary and Joe!
We have so many photos we love and will absolutely treasure our memories and these photos for a lifetime. -

Our FAVORITE Photographers
When we met up with Mary and Joe for an engagement shoot in Yosemite, we felt almost instantly that we had found new friends. By the time we started our first shoot, we discovered a blend of professionalism, character, enthusiasm, creativity, humor, and warm personalities.
Mary and Joe made the whole experience so comfortable and fun. Any concerns or awkwardness were quickly forgotten. We warmed up within minutes and ended up laughing, dancing, and exploring. By the end of the day we felt like we were simply adventuring with old friends and chasing some golden sunlight.
The Bowman’s continued impressing us by getting our photos back in no time at all! We were and remain left speechless by how beautiful and dreamy they are! I feel like Mary and Joe were able to capture moments that are so genuine and natural. Even more...Mary’s editing skills only enhanced the magic!
The Bowman’s offer such a unique, authentic, and high-quality experience. They are both brilliant and caring, investing in your love story and creatively capturing it. We can’t recommend them enough!!!! And we couldn’t be more excited to work with them again on our wedding day!!! -

Mary and Joe are your people. After doing so much research, I found that Mary and Joe were able to capture unique moments/feelings. I found myself feeling pure joy looking at their pictures of random strangers, so I KNEW they wouldn't just take the good old cheesy pictures, but they would take us back to the moments we would want to remember. And they did not disappoint! Having Mary and Joe with us, was like having your besties with you the entire time. They are the dream hype team! They made us feel so comfortable, loved and totally allowed us to be our goofy selves. We could not imagine anyone else photographing our special day. Look no further, The Bowmans are the people you want capturing your special day. -

Dreamy Mountaintop Elopement
Having the Bowmans photograph our mountain elopement was an absolute dream. They were professional and delivered stunning pictures, but the whole experience that they create is what really made it. My husband and I are very awkward in front of a camera. Our engagement photos (not by the Bowmans) are a disaster, so finding someone who could guide us and put us at ease was important, and the Bowmans did that so well. Our time with them felt natural and fun and sweet. They managed our complicated family dynamics smoothly and respectfully, and they generously accommodated the various changes that were made due to a coronavirus wedding. We are so happy that we booked the Bowmans for our special day. -

When I first met Mary, she made me feel so comfortable talking business and all at the same time she was making personal connection.
Our wedding was peak Quarantine and we had to make adjustments, Mary + Joe were so great to work with during a stressful, emotional time! We ended up changing plans and they were AMAZING with all our changes. They truly are a important part of your day and they do a great job of blending in with your guests and being a part of your day! From engagement pictures to our mini-wedding day they made us feel like rock stars. Not only have we fallen in love with their work but we’ve fallen in love with THEm!! Great people and great work.

The Bowmans have the experience, equipment, editing skills and an extra little something—likability. My wife will tell you that I don’t love photo shoots, but working with these two felt like being out with dear friends shooting the breeze. It was fun. Natural. Easygoing. They create great work because they’re great people who make you feel comfortable. Hire them. You will love what they bring out in you, your soon-to-be spouse and the two of you together (not to mention the hours of celebration with loved ones). A+ work. Worth every penny. -

My husband and I just adore Mary! We had multiple issues trying to find a photographer for our destination wedding, then Mary came recommended by our event coordinator - and we couldn't be more happy that she did. We had the opportunity to meet her face to face in our hometown and instantly felt a connection. She's young (EAGER), professional, SO MUCH fun to work with, and an overall bada** at her trade. She made each part of our day fluid and easy, never feeling 'posed', and we have the photo's to prove it. There are so many beautiful candid shots, it's hard to choose our favorites. Quick turn around for the 655 photo's she snapped of the event - which was very important to us. Highly Highly Highly recommended Mary for your photography needs! -

You need mary
Uncomfortable getting pictures taken? I promise you won’t be with Mary! My now husband and I (ok, mostly me) used to be very camera shy so we were naturally a little nervous for a photo shoot. Though, the minute I met Mary my nerves subsided.
She is so fun, sweet and mature beyond her years. She is present but so good at what she does you hardly notice her. She made everybody in my wedding party comfortable as well and holy cow did our pictures turn out beautifully. I am beyond grateful for her kindness and creativity. Our pictures are slowly but surely being being placed throughout our home. As stated, you need to hire this wonderful person. -

Mary was wonderful to work with and took beautiful photos for our engagement and wedding day! She is very sweet and was invisible at the right moments and guided my husband and I at the right moments. There are four undeniable reasons photographer Mary Bowman is the best.
1) Amazing Photos. We really liked how she captivated not only the posed pictures but the ones where we interacted with our guests and the truly joyful moments. Also, Mary is an artist that seems to never settle with the quality of her photos but pushes to be better.
2) Calm. Mary has a talent for helping everyone enjoy themselves and look their best for the pictures she takes. She even took a photo of a crowd over 200. And man she can get LOUD too which helps!!!
3) Proffesional. Mary knows what she’s doing and handles the business side of things with integrity and kindness. Beyond her years as a professional.
4) Fun. During the photo shoot with the different groups (family, siblings, wedding party, bridesmaids, etc.) Mary kept the attitude light by playing fun music. Also, Mary’s laugh is hilarious!
My wife and I loved having Mary shoot our wedding and it’s one of the main things we still talk about since our wedding. GO MARY! -

I could not be more happy that we found Mary and booked her for both our engagement and wedding day photos. Mary is so sweet and funny and instantly makes you comfortable.
