Absolutely worth it!

I hired Julie for day of coordination, and got so much more from her!! Anytime during the planning process, she was there to help guide me when I felt stuck. She was so great with communication and response time to my emails, and had many great resources. Month of the wedding, she was very on top of it and helped me work out every little detail, one's I wouldn't have even thought of without her help!
She sent one of her coordinators, Yoly, to run our rehearsal and the wedding, and Yoly was very kind, flexible and professional! She was very timely, and the wedding ran so smoothly thanks to her! I actually got to soak in the events and enjoy myself since Yoly was so on it and making sure everything was getting done properly!
I HIGHLY recommend them! They will make sure your day is extra special!!

Julie was truly the backbone of our wedding day, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. From the moment she stepped in as our day-of coordinator, she brought a sense of calm, organization, and confidence that allowed us to fully enjoy every second of our special day.

Amazing Wedding Planner Service in San Diego

From the minute we signed our contract with Julie at The Best Wedding For You, she was extremely helpful and took a load off our shoulders for planning our wedding. She setup calls for us with DJs and florists and even joined a couple of the florist calls to help us communicate our vision clearly. In the approaching weeks and months up to our wedding, she was extremely detail oriented and provided us with a detailed list of all possible considerations leading up to our wedding, from invites to honeymoon planning! She also took the reigns with coordination between our venue, The San Diego Safari Park, and all our vendors, so that we could focus on other aspects of our big day.

The Best Wedding for Us

Julie came into our wedding preparation life after I had to let go of our first wedding planner (and let’s just say my spirits were low and some funds were already lost to paying our first vendor who was not a good fit to put it nicely). The universe had thrown us our saving grace in getting Julie as once she was onboard everything fell into place seamlessly. She was born to be planner. Organized, efficient, positive, calm, prepared and professional, Julie helped us achieve the most magical day that we will look back on with fondness for the rest of our lives. We had zero hiccups day of the event and that was thanks to Julie. She handles everything with such grace that even if things were starting to go off track you wouldn’t know as Julie resolves any issues as they arrive like a stealth ninja. Mind you we were trying to plan a wedding in San Diego while living in Reno in 6 months time since we lost months to the first planner and didn’t have anything to show for it. Also we were planning a full Latin Catholic mads at one location and reception at a second approximately 30 minutes away. If you are on the fence as to whether you should get a planner or not I will tell you that it is WELL worth it and if you get Julie S. you’ve hit the jackpot. She truly did create The Best Wedding for us and cannot recommend her highly enough.

Expert Wedding Planning Experience

We worked with Julie for the last 3 months of our planning for our Darlington House wedding. What struck us most about Julie was her extensive experience, strong communication, and get-it-done attitude.   We were extremely fortunate to have Julie’s experience for our wedding planning. During our walk through, Julie’s experience came through as she shared examples of previous set ups she’s done and offered instant solutions to potential problems. We could really envision each decision and felt confident that we were avoiding potential pitfalls as Julie shared her reasoning behind certain recommendations. You could also tell how strong Julie’s relationships were with the wedding vendor community - every meeting was well-run and somehow fun, despite wedding planning decision fatigue.   Julie had strong communication throughout the planning. She would respond within a day (if not more quickly) and kept us updated when she had one or two short weekend trips to make sure everything was on track and to let us know she’d be slower for a couple of days. She also kept us on track by properly pacing out our decision points and always telling us what to start thinking about next.

During our wedding weekend, everything went like clockwork, thanks to Julie and the team quietly hustling in the background. Julie did a great job at adjusting to our guests and the flow of the evening. For example, when we realized that we were running late for family photos, Julie explained that she’d be happy to keep the doors closed for a few extra minutes or suggested taking the family photos upstairs to balance the guest experience. It was great to know Julie would always have a couple of great solutions to keep the party going! Everyone in our party remarked how easy she was to work with when things came up. We’d recommend her to all future couples!

Wonderful!

Julie was fabulous! We planned our wedding with both of us going on multiple deployments and she always made the time to meet whether over phone or email! Her expertise in the San Diego area ensured that she always had vendors to recommend at various price points so we could pick who best suited our needs within the budget. She followed our desires to the Tee, would give options and suggestions that fit within our budget, and managed all the vendors without us needing to do much more than make the decisions. Our wedding was the best day of my life and I attribute that to Julie and all the wonderful work she did! Well worth the money for all the assistance she gave— wedding planning was way less stressful than I anticipated thanks to Julie being by our side!

The only “struggle” we had was the communication when we first booked. I think this was more out of a misunderstanding on our end of how much there would be early in the process, but as we got closer and closer to the actual day, Julie was there for every step of the process.

She answered our questions and gave great feedback. She planned every part of our timeline (which was super helpful!) and she made our venue come to life on the day of the wedding with our decorations.

She made sure we were where we were needed throughout the reception and she was incredibly kind and stress free throughout it all. Everyone in our wedding party had nothing but great things to say about Julie.

Worth every penny we paid here. Would definitely recommend her for any future wedding planning!

Looking for expertise and kindness? Choose Julie!

TL;DR: Julie was an absolute lifesaver for our weddings!
We had two events: a secular ceremony and traditional Indian one and Julie provided her expertise for both. Without Julie handling our vendors, communication, and small details, our weddings would not have gone as smoothly as they did! Her communication was always prompt and she always kept our preferences in mind when making decisions on our behalf. Her expertise and professionalism went a long way when dealing with vendors and we still cherish her kindness and dedication to us (the bride and groom--now married)!

Detailed review:
Prior to the events, we had detailed calls with Julie and told her about vendors we already decided on as well as vendors we still needed. For those we still needed, Julie was able to provide some recommendations. Given her years of expertise in this field, she was really helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Julie handled most (if not all!) communications with the vendors and other email communications, but always kept us in the loop which was really helpful. She expertly dealt with problem vendors, folks who took too long to respond to us, and emergencies with vendors. She also would be in constant communication with our venues to ensure our vendors could arrive at the right time, provide us with a proper timeline, and take care of insurance/health and safety/etc. paperwork as needed. Again, because she has worked in this field for such a long time, she really knew what questions to ask and what details needed to be considered while we could not have even thought of this stuff!

On the day of our events, Julie and her team were at our venue and double-checking that our vendors were there and that things were going according to schedule and plan. Julie had put together timelines for both us (the wedding party) and our vendors which was incredibly helpful to ensure we stayed on track. Julie was there holding open doors, fixing the train on the bride's dress, and directing guests. She did all the work in the background so that the wedding party and the guests could really enjoy themselves. We also found ourselves with guests who had not RSVP'd and Julie was so quick in finding them seats and figuring out their situation. In addition, she accommodated all last-minute requests when possible and was always by our (the bride and groom's!) side when it came to minor issues on the wedding days--which was really appreciated! Julie also made sure we were fed and kept aside food and drinks for us while we were busy with pictures, greetings, and reception events. We were so thankful for that!

Overall, we would recommend Julie a thousand times over! We really felt she went above and beyond during the whole wedding process!! She was really the rock that grounded us during our weddings and we really needed her expertise during our planning phase. If you are looking for someone who has incredible wedding planning expertise in San Diego and who is an organized, prompt, professional, and kind wedding planner, then Julie really is the right pick. This review is long overdue. Julie was our coordinator for my & my husband's 50th wedding anniversary on 11/05/2022. She was incredible throughout the entire process. I never got to have a big wedding or a reception with dancing for that matter, so really this was my chance at a big, beautiful wedding 50 years later! And Julie made it magical. She was there for every meeting, she worked with our vendors to make sure everything was taken care of, she had countless phone calls with us during the planning phase of the event, and she made our night so special. She helped out with every detail, and didn't leave anything to chance. She wanted to make sure everything was perfect for me and my husband. She guided us through every step and was there for every question and every concern. She is so professional and has so many years of experience and it definitely shows. I remember there was a time during the reception when my dress got a bit messed up and my makeup was smearing because I was so sweaty from dancing and having a great time, that she took me to the bathroom and helped fix me back up! I don't know of any other wedding coordinator that would take the time to help the bride one-on-one to fix them back up...but Julie will! She strives to make everyone feel comfortable and to make sure everything goes off without the slightest hitch. She even helped me and my daughter out when we were taking care of payments to the catering vendors, when they were giving us a bit of a hard time. We loved that Julie had worked at the venue a ton before so she really knew it inside & out. You can tell that Julie has been in the business a long time which was super helpful. She was available to help answer all of our questions until she took over the coordination with all vendors the month prior and that took a lot off our plates. What I really appreciated about Julie was that she doesn't mess around. She knows her stuff, is quick to make decisions, she'll rally everyone together, she gets things done. Our day went off without a hitch, literally no issues and I think a huge part of that was because of Julie. She even kept her composure when some groomsmen ran off right before the ceremony to get pizza!! It was the best day of our lives, thank you Julie for everything!!!

The Best Wedding Planner For You

This review is LONG overdue! We got married 7.4.2022 at Etherial Gardens but our original date was 2.25.2021. Due to the pandemic, we needed to reschedule our wedding date. Julie was amicable, professional, attentive, and willing to get on calls with us throughout the covid ordeal. What we loved about Julie is that although there was a long period between our original date and new wedding date, she was extremely organized with the original notes from the venue, us, and any discussions we had with the vendors. Plus, she has excellent relationships and connections with the local vendors. Julie doesn't play around either! She tells it how it is and won't sugarcoat things for you. She will let you know if something is a good idea or not but will always side with what you want as a couple.

The day of our wedding, we did not notice ANYTHING WRONG. If anything did happen, we weren't aware or she fixed it right away. She made the whole day flow flawlessly. I would HIGHLY recommend Julie as your wedding planner. We booked her for the month but honestly, the month service became almost a two year service commitment. She is reasonably priced for her years of expertise and you can't beat her price compared to other wedding planners that may offer less services in their packages. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND for booking her for the month of coordination service. I am a very hands on person so I loved planning my wedding but Julie was the icing on the cake I needed. That last month before your wedding, YOU WILL NEED HELP and of course, the day of your wedding. Our venue provided in-house event coordinators but Julie completed the team. Again, highly recommend Julie, from The Best Wedding For You in San Diego, CA for your wedding, whether it is for the month of coordination, month of coordination Plus, or a full service coordination. Oh and her husband is a DJ too!

Julie has to be the most talented wedding planner in the world. I cannot imagine having another planner for the most special day of our lives. Not only did she make our entire day function with no obstacles, but, she made the whole process of wedding planning so much fun. Julie is a master at her craft and worth so much more. She made sure we were living in the moment every second of the day with no worries and always stress free. It was the most beautiful day of my life and everything was absolutely perfect. Just an amazing person to have on your wedding day

Experience Like No Other

Julie was fantastic! Our wedding was supposed to be in 2020 and then 2021 and then finally in 2022. She stuck around and restarted the processes every time and was always on the ball. She offered great suggestions when we were out of our element and rolled with any suggestions we had. My husband and I are serial procrastinators and she was able to make sure everything got done and gave us the pressure we needed to follow through. She also dealt with my mom who could be a lot. Truly an experienced, competent, and special planner. Highly recommend!

Julie is an amazing coordinator!!

Julie is amazing on all fronts- organized, professional, knowledgeable. We did the month of coordinator. She is reasonably priced and as a couple made of graduate/medical students that was something important to us. She is also very nice and helpful. When our wedding was postponed twice (i.e. 3 different wedding dates) due to the covid pandemic, she was flexible and willing to continue to work with us. I will say to look at what the wedding coordinator option includes: we didn't realize that creating a layout of the venue (i.e. where tables, chairs, DJ, cake, buffet, etc.) was supposed to be completed by us and not her. (Thankfully she helped us create a layout as she knew the venue and was able to give her input!!) We also had a catering fiasco (catering company almost did not honor our contract from 2019 for our 2022 wedding due to the "prices being too low" and Julie was able to help advise us and give her input. Only thing that probably could've been improved (and it's very minute) was the creating the "day of schedule" on word doc and having us edit and send to her... it probably would have been easier to create a google doc because then we could just comment/edit at the same time. But she's been in the business for 10+ years so she has a method that works for her! On the wedding day itself, Julie was very organized and if there were mini fires (or really any fires) we had no idea because she was able to handle it all so we could enjoy our wedding worry/stress free. Would 100% choose to work with Julie and recommend you all to do the same too!

Julie is amazing!

Julie was recommended to us by our wedding venue. We ended up hiring both Julie and her husband, Mick (Elite British DJ) for our wedding and we're sooo glad we did. Her month-of service was perfect. Right when I was losing steam and starting to feel overwhelmed by the logistics, Julie stepped in and pulled everything together. I'm very detail oriented and Julie was still catching my mistakes left and right. She's professional, calm, and was attentive to our needs throughout the whole process. Best wedding duo ever!

I cannot say enough good things about our fairy godmother aka wedding planner Julie! Where do I begin. I grew up in San Diego and moved away after college but always dreamed about coming home to get married. I just want to say whether you are a local or long distance bride Julie goes above and beyond in every way to make your day the best it can be! Not only is she the sweetest lady but she truly cares about what she does. She starts about three months before your wedding with every referral you could possibly imagine! From our grooms cake to room blocks at Lowes for our out of town guests (including us). Then a month before she really gets into all the details including a four page information page where she goes over every possible detail she may need to know! From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave! She coordinated our entire timeline which was so difficult to nail down. She put out our name cards, and decorated our plates with cookies and custom m&m’s not to mention taking down our floral arch from our ceremony and putting it on our sweetheart table. We literally would not have been able to get married in my home town without Julie!. Julie I cannot thank-you enough for making this wedding one we will remember all our lives! I highly recommend her.

The best money you will ever spend!

Julie is truly a life saver! By far the best money we spent on our wedding was having Julie help us with the entire planning process! She is worth every penny! We had a COVID-postponed wedding and would have been incredibly stressed if it wasn't for her amazing coordination! Throughout the 2-year long wedding process, she was always extremely responsive, organized and really helped us plan for things we never even considered! Especially on the wedding day, it was amazing how well everything was coordinated and she really helped to keep us on schedule. My husband and I hired Julie (and Mick) for our wedding and we're so glad we did. Julie helped us with everything from sourcing and booking vendors to day-of coordination services. She was so helpful throughout the entire process and was an invaluable source of knowledge for us to draw on as we figured out different aspects of our wedding weekend. The Best Wedding Planner

We noticed in our search for a wedding planner that some can be condescending or make you feel like your budget isn't enough. We'd about given up when a friend recommended Julie, and she was such a breath of fresh air! She was able to find incredible vendors who fit perfectly into our budget and was always so attentive and responsive. She always made us feel special and important. She was even able to help us find a date to reschedule when covid cancelled our first wedding and we were able to keep all our vendors! The absolute BEST wedding planner!

My husband and I both agree that hiring Julie was the best decision we made for our wedding. Looking back I have no idea what we would have done without her. We originally hired Julie for our 2020 wedding that due to the pandemic needed to be postponed to 2021. Once we made the decision to move our date Julie immediately contacted all our vendors and gave us new dates that worked for everyone. I head so many horror stories about couples trying to postpone but ours was so easy and that was all due to the hard work of Julie. You wouldn’t have even known it was her first pandemic!

Julie made every part of the process of planning our wedding easy. She has contacts with the best vendors, including her husband Mick who was our incredible DJ! Our wedding day was perfect and I didn’t need to think or stress about anything. Julie was incredibly organized and has her weddings down to a science. I can’t recommend her services enough!

Awesome Coordinator

We would not have made it through the wedding planning process without Julie! She helped us with vendor selection, logistics, day of timeline, and answered our many, many questions along the way. She also helped us postpone due to the pandemic, which made a very stressful process as easy as it could have been! A must have

Julie was the wedding planner for my sister’s wedding back in 2015. She did such an amazing job I knew that I knew I had to hire her as mine when I got married. During these Covid times, having a wedding planner is an absolute must. Julie was such a huge asset to me during the stress of planning this wedding. I am an anxiety ridden person and she helped me to calm down many different times. Even from the start I had an emotional breakdown deciding between two different venues. I sent an email to her late that night in tears and she immediately got back to me and gave all this great advice to help me make that big decision. We had to postpone our wedding and Julie was so helpful in coordinating with vendors to find a new date. She has so much knowledge and experience in the wedding business that she has many great suggestions and vendor contacts that will ensure your day turns out amazing. She is exceptionally organized and the materials she provides you will help you stay organized as well. She was a joy to work with the entire two years up until my wedding. Julie really shines though on the actual day of the wedding. If it wasn’t for her, I would have been a stressed-out mess. Even the morning of the wedding we had a groomsman and guests drop out and Julie took care of all the changes that needed to happen. I knew I could put all of my trust in her. We had a couple situations come up at the wedding and she quickly and quietly took care of these. She even bustled my dress for me when my mom and sister were having issues with it. I can’t stress how much of a relief it is to have Julie around on your big day. She is just fantastic. Even more so, she is married to an amazing DJ and they are the dynamic duo. Could not have done it without her! (pandemic ceremony planning)

Where do I begin?! Julie is AMAZING! Prior to our wedding I had pretty much zero wedding experience so Julie had her work cut out for her with us! Haha She recommended a florist who we loved and helped set up everything like the photo booth and dessert! Julie is so organized and reliable. 2 things all brides can appreciate! She is also very kind and patient. Once the pandemic hit things were planned, replanned and replanned again but Julie was always there for us! She kept my sanity during a time of so much uncertainty with sticking to safe guidelines and keeping everyones health a top priority. In October 2020 we had a small, intimate ceremony which truly was the most beautiful, stress free, best day of our lives. We truly got to be in the moment. My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding day. We highly recommend Julie! Thank you so much for everything!

Leading up to my wedding she helped me put all my puzzle pieces together while giving me extraordinary and honest advice. She is kind, very organized, and gets it done. Julie will help with planning the best wedding for you!

We went with Julie and Mick's combo package for Day-Of Coordinator and DJ and are so very happy that we had them to guide us with planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic. Both Julie and Mick are pleasant to work with and had plenty of ideas and suggestions but never pushed us to make a decision.

Julie is organized and always quick to respond to emails. Her optimistic attitude was encouraging especially when we decided to change our 150+ wedding to a 35 person outdoor ceremony only. She took charge of coordinating with our vendors and making sure everyone was on the same page with our timeline.

We were nervous about how our actual wedding day would go since we had to pivot from our original plans, but our experience was still magical and we made such wonderful memories with our close family and friends. We have no idea what went on behind the scenes, but we know Julie was there to make sure things went on as planned!

We loved working with Julie and highly recommend her for any wedding coordinating needs!

Julie is incredible!

Julie is so fantastic!!!! My mom and I had gone back and forth about if we needed a month-of coordinator, and luckily when we decided to hire one, Julie was still available! She made our wedding day run so smoothly, I can’t imagine having our wedding without her! She knew every detail about our wedding day like the back of her hand. We had a couple meetings with her beforehand, including one at our venue since she had never been there before and she wanted to make sure she was prepared. On the day of our wedding, Julie was so amazing! She was great at making sure we both had everything we wanted and needed. She also wanted to make sure we were calm and not nervous all day as well! She did a fantastic job of making sure everything we brought to have her set out was done and in place when she got there. Julie was also great at making sure everybody was where they needed to be during our family photos. Even when my brother (who was walking my mom down the aisle) ripped his pants 20 minutes before the ceremony started, Julie remained calm and made sure we had a sewing kit to fix them. I couldn’t imagine not having Julie at our wedding making sure everything was running smoothly! My mind was 100% at ease knowing Julie was taking care of everything!

Fantastic Wedding Planner!!!

It is an absolute pleasure writing this review! When we decided to get married after a 2 year engagement, we thought about a low-key dinner at first but got SO excited at the gorgeous venue that we quickly agreed to a ceremony and the whole shebang! With 3 months to plan, we needed a wedding planner and started to vet out referrals. Best Wedding For You BY FAR is the best event planning experience we have had! Not only was Julie incredibly responsive and organized, she really knew what she was doing and helped us each and every step of the way. Whether it was soliciting vendor referrals and pricing, offering advice on event space set-up, guiding us through the floral decisions, she was ALWAYS helpful and came through on her commitments. She tackled the aggressive timeline head on and our wedding was spectacular!! EVERYTHING was cared for from set-up to take down, to fielding guest inquiries, everything!! We were treated to a fantastic and memorable experience (OUR WEDDING) and felt like guests of honor the entire event!! We didn’t worry about a thing and she made sure it stayed that way. Julie is the BEST!!

Julie at The Best Wedding for You was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! I could not have hosted such a beautiful wedding without Julie's help. Julie is extremely experienced and knowledgeable about weddings...from the planning and preparing for the event, to the actual day of the wedding. She always had great suggestions, ideas and advice when I needed them. Julie's assistance with coordinating our vendors and the timeline for the wedding day was invaluable, as was her help with our dress rehearsal, which in turn made the wedding ceremony go smoothly and as planned. Julie's assistance on the wedding day was fantastic! As the mother of the bride, I was able to actually enjoy my daughter's wedding because Julie was there to take care of all the details, coordinated all the major events during the wedding, handled any issues that came up during the wedding and got them resolved asap, and most importantly helped me relax! Not only is she a true professional, ( responsive, timely, organized, pays attention to detail), but she has the perfect personality to take charge when necessary, in a caring and tactful way. I always felt secure and comfortable knowing Julie was there to help me any time I needed her before or during the wedding. Our guests were so impressed with Julie's ability to multi task and make sure everything was just right, and to be so much fun at the same time. Julie was fantastic every step of the process. Over the course of the 9-month wedding planning process, I finished grad school, prepared for a board exam, and started a new job, and Julie kept everything wedding-related running smoothly while still checking in at every step to make sure that the day was exactly what we wanted--and it was! Julie is an invaluable resource for everything from vendor referrals to creating the perfect timeline. I am not great at event planning, and Julie really helped ask the right questions to make sure that my husband and I had a really special day. The day of, she truly went the extra mile to make the day run seamlessly. Julie is the best!

Julie's the Best!

We used Julie's month-of-coordination services for our wedding, and we could not be happier that we did! We spoke with several coordinators before making our decision, but once we spoke with Julie, we knew immediately she was the right choice!

Beginning a month before the wedding (when our contract started), I found Julie to be incredibly detail oriented, very responsive, and full of great ideas and advice! During the planning process, Julie thought of details I would have not have thought about otherwise. She created a the perfect timeline for the wedding - we would have been at a total loss in this area without her expertise. Our timeline was tight since we did not do a first look, but Julie was able to prioritize sunset photos and fit in all our wedding day events seamlessly even when our wedding fell 10 mins behind. Because of Julie, we did not have to worry about details and we could enjoy our wedding without stress. We thank Julie so much for her hard work and attentiveness. We had the most beautiful and perfect day thanks to her!

Organized & direct

Julie was exactly what we were looking for. Someone that was able to execute the day without any hesitations. Weddings are chaos and with all the maddness going on julie made me feel calm and relieved knowing she was running around making everything perfect. I had a lot of decor and diy centerpieces but knew she would make it look great! We had talked on the phone and had emailed back and forth multiple times. When the day came and I saw how beautiful it was for the ceremony and how she set up everything in the foyer and on the tables so nicely it was just lovely. A true professional as a wedding coordinator!

We chose a combination package with Wedding Coordinator and DJ team. It was the best decision for us because they worked very well together and gave us great advice on how to carry out our wedding plans. As you can imagine, there were plenty of snags to deal with as we closed in on our special day. But, Julie was very helpful with rehearsal in putting our minds at ease and to carry out final details. We asked quite a lot for Julie to do in a short period of time based on what the wedding venue allowed. Julie and her assistant were able to fulfill our vision of how we wanted our plans for wedding decorations carried out. Cannot say enough positive things about her professionalism and the extra care that Julie put into making ours a very special wedding from the beginning to the very end. Julie was the PERFECT Wedding Planner!

Right away we knew Julie was the perfect planner for our daughter's December 2018 wedding. She is so organized and walked us through each step making perfect recommendations. We are so lucky we found her. We originally started the wedding planning process in September of 2017 and selected a beautiful location on Shasta Lake in Northern California. We were not using a wedding planner for the wedding, doing most of the work ourselves. We had to make a last minute location change two weeks before the wedding as a result of the devastating fires around Redding, CA. (The venue was closed, the Interstate was closed). So we started over, we had a little over two months to plan a second wedding. We changed the location to Southern California and found Julie. Talk about a silver lining! Julie was amazing. She knows her stuff! She has great recommendations and great follow up. We had so much fun working with her and the day of the event everything went off perfectly. Everything was set up exactly the way we wanted it to be and she took care of all the details with vendors. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for the perfect wedding event of the season!

Incredible.

Julie was incredible. I had telephone calls with a few different coordinators and knew right away after her call that she was the one. I felt so at ease and less stressed just from talking to her. She's had a lot of experience at my particular venue. I chose the month-of coordination package which was worth it. The venue we rented was a blank space so there were A LOT of vendors to coordinate. Any time I told a vendor she was my coordinator, they RAVED about her. And I totally get it. She is very professional and has a ton of experience which was VERY evident. Rehearsal was thorough and seamless (we had a LARGE party). She provided vendor recommendations throughout the year. She was vital with all last-minute decisions and provided quality advice. I had major decision fatigue leading up to the final weeks so during the last month leading up to our wedding, I trusted her advice and recommendations, Any decision that needed to be made, I was like, WWJD. "What would Julie do?" She even pointed out things I wouldn't have known (such as doing 4 instead of 3 market lights because with 3, the pole would have been directly behind the ceremony arch). Her execution the day of, was on point. She was calm and firm with directions but not aggressive. I received many compliments from guests about her work that day. She was super helpful the day of, keeping us on time while not being too visible. This picture of her fixing my dress right before I walked out sums up how amazing she is, haha. She's like batman. Super organized and put all the decor (+ her assistant) where it needed to be, she helped make my vision come true.

Julie is the best wedding planner for you

Julie Scrivener at the Best Wedding for You was so wonderful to work with. I met her through her husband Mick (DJ with Elite British DJ) and I couldn't be happier and more thankful that I worked with this husband, wife duo. They make everything so easy and fun and your day is truly stress free!

Julie and I met for the first time to just go over basic logistics and to see what services I needed. She has a survey/questionnaire to fill out which helped me get a better idea of what she would be doing for my wedding (the day of and services I needed prior). She's super super organized (I really don't know how she does this job!!), emails my vendors when I have a question, answers all my questions in a timely manner, and then went with me to go through florals and food tasting.

Julie has a website you can use to keep everything organized and tasks she gives you to make sure you're on track and also had a list of vendors if I needed anything. I ended up using her hair and make up recommendation along with her floral rec and I'm so glad I did. I planned my wedding in about 4 months, but I really feel like I only spent about a month or even less, actually needing to do things for my wedding. I just put my trust into Julie and everything got done or she told me what to do and it was just so easy! The day of my wedding was absolutely stress free and I have Julie to thank for that. If you want someone who knows the industry, gets the job done, is so much fun to work with, and doesn't give you any stress during the process then Julie is your gal!! I got so many compliments about my wedding and everyone had so much fun!

BEST Coordinator for our Indian Wedding

Words can't even begin to describe how amazing Julie was. We had a complex traditional Indian wedding with and involved parents, and Julie did such a great job of making sure everyone felt important, but that we (as the bride and groom) ultimately got what we wanted. This was a destination wedding for us and Julie let us ship a bunch of stuff to her house months before. We wanted a coordinator who was polite ,but also not afraid to be assertive to guests so we could have everything go on time and as schedule - Julie did exactly that. The whole day went smoothly and ON TIME (which rarely happens at Indian weddings!) and this couldn't have happen without Julie. Best decision we made

If I could give Julie more than 5 stars I absolutely would. She is so incredibly knowledgeable, willing and wanting to help in anyway possible, extremely professional, and I have no doubt in my mind that she was the reason our wedding turned out perfectly. She helped my husband and I plan our wedding in no more than four months, and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it. She recommended multiple vendors to us (everyone of which we were extremely pleased with), worked with our odd schedules, and kept us informed about every detail. She put so much time and effort into making sure our wedding was ABSOLUTELY perfect, and it was. She removed a majority (if not all) of the stress that comes with planning a wedding, and my husband and I never once worried about whether or not any details were being overlooked or missed as she took care of everything. While we were planning our wedding, I was in the middle of Ph.D. program applications, my husband was in the middle of medical residency applications, AND we were an out of town couple - we NEEDED Julie!! We were quite spoiled in that we worked with Julie for over a year before our wedding; other than our reception venue to set a date, she was the first vendor we hired after getting engaged! She had an extensive list of vendor recommendations from which we selected most of our wedding vendors. She was very responsive and incredibly detail-oriented. Julie's experience in the industry shows as she just thinks of things that my husband and I never considered until she brought it up. We consulted with her on a lot of choices we had to make, and she provided smart, honest and thoughtful feedback that were valuable to us. She came with us to select our linens, to our menu tasting, to floral meeting + mock-up and did a thorough site run-through with us - again, a lifesaver.

On the day of our wedding, I didn't have to direct a single vendor on where they needed to be - Julie had it handled beforehand. If there were a problem with any of them, I would have never known because the reception was perfect when we got there! Julie created a very detailed timeline for the bridal party and our vendors; these definitely helped make the day go more smoothly.

Overall, I highly recommend having Julie as your wedding coordinator. There is no denying that planning a wedding is stressful, but having a professional whom you can rely on makes the process easier and more fun!

My now wife and I were a bit hesitant to shell out the cash on a wedding coordinator as we thought we were pretty organized people. But boy, are we glad we hired Julie to be the coordinator for our wedding at Scripps Seaside forum. From our first meeting, she was extremely organized, friendly and knowledgable about all aspects of wedding planning. She had great vendor referrals and always answered our texts and emails promptly. She also accompanied us to vendor meetings and gave truthful, unbiased opinions on whether we should spend the extra money on things like outdoor furniture or if the budget could be used elsewhere. Come the weekend of the wedding, Julie was absolutely crucial to the smooth ceremony and reception. She organized the ceremony, set up decorations, developed the timeline, oversaw all the vendors, etc. If you're getting married in San Diego and want to be able to enjoy planning your wedding with minimal stress, I highly recommend you hire Julie to coordinate your wedding. She did a phenomenal job!

Julie was awesome! My wife Megan and I will forever be grateful to her for all she did to make our special day go off without a single problem. We were referred to Julie by our venue and hired her as our Month Of Coordinator. Julie is amazing! She is extremely organized and on top of every single detail. She created the timeline and coordinated with all of the vendors. We gave her all of the extra items like flower girl basket, cake topper, wedding license, card box, etc. the week of, and she made sure everything made it to the wedding in its proper place. She went above and beyond our expectations during the wedding, using the ceremony items to add to the reception decor. Julie is simply the best at what she does. She was my lifeline during my wedding planning. She is very professional and responds in a timely manner. She took away a lot of the stress and sends me reminders on the tasks I need to do and I never felt pressured. Since she's been in the business for years, she knows a lot of vendors as well familiar with many different venues in San Diego. Our wedding went without a hitch (at least none that I knew of that were life altering) and I felt zero stress the day of. She went above and beyond the call of duty. She even made me a toss bouquet :). The only thing I had to worry on our big about was me not tripping in front of everyone and saying the right words. Although I consider myself a pretty good planner, Julie's help went above and beyond our expectations. My family commented on how she moved so quickly and smoothly preparing for things to begin and the effort was clearly visible. Something I noticed missing? vendors NOT contacting me with questions/problems!!! That was amazing!! Too many times, I've seen weddings where the bride is swallowed whole with questions/comments/concerns by vendors and guests alike, and I had none of it.

I was planning a wedding that was going to take place in California from 15 hours away, and I was so stressed out. Then I found Julie! I spoke to at least 10 different wedding planners, and it just didn’t feel “right”, and then we talked to Julie! Julie is so nice, and SO helpful. She took my wedding dreams, and made it a reality. Whenever we had meetings with her, or phone calls I felt like we were top priority, and it never felt like we were burdening her with questions. Julie is a top notch wedding professional. As a wedding coordinator myself, I knew I would not be an "easy" client simply because I do the same thing for a living but Julie handled me with ease allowing me to be the bride and not the coordinator (although I did but in several times and was lucky enough to have her remind me to be the bride!). We really can't thank Julie enough for orchestrating the most amazing, perfect wedding day we ever could have imagined!!! We came from in out of town to do an intimate elopement ceremony on the beach. From the moment I contacted her, (about a year before our big day) Julie really listened to my vision and was immediately putting in work to make it happen! She was VERY responsive and detailed with several emails back and forth over the course of a year, phone calls, giving us info and contacting different vendors, and best of all.. showing us the home away app and suggesting renting a beach house instead of staying in a hotel... which turned out to be the greatest idea EVER!!! Saying our vows at that private, intimate location was so amazing and it definitely would not have been the same experience had we done it somewhere else!
On the day of our wedding Julie was SO on top of it! In addition to all her wedding coordinator duties, she also somehow managed to pull off babysitter/nanny duties and keep both of our boys happy and help hold it together when they started having one of their melt downs haha ;) We were a little worried going into it, not having any family there to help out but as it turns out we had nothing to worry about because Julie handled it all... and all with an amazing, calm demeanor and smile on her face!
A thank you doesn't seem like enough to say how truly grateful we are for all she did to help give us the most special day of our family's life that we will always treasure.❤️
Julie is truly a master at what she does and I gladly recommend her to anyone looking to do a wedding in the San Diego area!

Julie was absolutely amazing! I honestly don't know how we could've put together our wedding without her. She is so pleasant to work with, never stressed us out, and was on top of anticipating everything, including little details I would have never thought of. She was very responsive, even months before the wedding, and was super helpful in helping us make decisions since she's seen it all. And on the day of the wedding she kept everything running smoothly so that the day went perfectly! Overall would highly recommend Julie to anyone planning a wedding!

Julie's services were hands down the most important of all the vendors we used. Even though we booked her for "month of/day of", Julie was very helpful in assisting us with many of the planning details early on--making many helpful suggestions, answering countless emails, and meeting with us several times. Once the date grew near she took over all the vendors and pulled everything together seamlessly. The wedding day was magical and went without a hitch, thanks to Julie. She is an experienced professional and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her without reservation.

Julie is INCREDIBLE!!!! I was referred to her and her husband (Elite British DJ) by a family friend who had them at their wedding. Luckily I snatched them up before they got booked as i know they are in high demand.

If you think you don't need a wedding planner...think again! Even if its just for the month of. Julie is worth every penny. I can not say enough good things about Julie. I got married on a military base and she was so knowledgeable about the rules and regulations. Julie is so sweet, professional, and a joy to work with.

On the day of my wedding Julie made sure everything ran smoothly. If there were any problems I never knew because Julie took care of it. From day one Julie said on the day of the wedding her job was to make sure the bride did not have to worry or stress about anything and i didn't.

I would like to explain and give an example of just how sweet Julie is. I had my reception on a military base which started at 6 pm. Since it was a military base there are certain rules, one being you are not allowed to start setting up until 2 hours before. My wedding ceremony was at a church at 2 pm and the church had a wedding planner so i did not need Julie at the church (also she had a lot to do to get ready for my reception). When I pulled up to the church, guess who was standing there....Julie! She came to the church and surprised me!

Like i said Julie is the best of the best and if you are able to book her before someone else does you wont regret it.

Thank you so much for the dream wedding you put on for us. All of our guests keep saying it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Can't get a better compliment than that! :) We know that there were a ton of crazy, weird requests and that we kept a lot of things last minute, but you really helped tie it all together. And sorry about the crazy light up plants lol.

I literally cannot thank Julie enough for all that she did. I hired her for month of and even before that month started she was there for any little or big questions or for any advice that I needed. She is very professional and helped make the process much smoother than I could have ever imagined. The wedding day went so smooth, we used her husband as our DJ as well and it was just absolutely perfect, they are a dynamite team and both helped to make our day amazing. As soon as my husband and I met Julie we knew we wanted to hire her. She truly does a spectacular job at what she does and is very efficient. We definitely were a little more laid back than usual on our deadlines and such but Julie helped keep us on top of what we needed to get done. We hired Julie to do our month of coordination and she was awesome. She communicated with our vendors and made our day absolutely seamless. She was so on top of everyone's roles and schedules it was absolutely amazing. She was my lifesaver and truly helped make our perfect day happen. All of our guests are still talking nonstop about how amazing our wedding day. It was organized and executed perfectly, but not cookie cutter, stressful or boring. She made sure that our day flowed so smoothly and it truly could not have been more perfect. So thankful for Julie and I could not recommend her more as a coordinator. She is absolutely amazing and truly made sure that my husband and I were enjoying our special day.

Julie is top notch. She is extremely organized and detail oriented, flexible, re-assuring, professional, and lots of fun! Our venue required us to bring in all vendors and Julie provided some excellent recommendations - a great added bonus to working with her. She is honest and straight forward and will give her opinion when asked but first and foremost listens to your preferences. The whole event ran very smoothly and I was able to (and my mom was too!) fully enjoy every moment knowing that Julie had everything under control. One last (and huge!) added bonus - Julie's husband Mick Scrivener (Elite British DJ) was amazing. He provided some great recommendations on how to make our event unique and everyone had an absolute blast on the dance floor. Highly, highly recommend them both!

Julie was the rockstar of my wedding! I had a majority of my guests coming from out of town (mostly NY/NJ) and had a venue where everything was brought in by different vendors. Julie made everything go seamlessly. I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding because I had complete confidence in her and her abilities- especially handling loud east coasters. My mom and sister were also raving about how great and priceless she was at the wedding. If you are looking for an amazing coordinator look no further- she is your girl!

What can I say.... Amazing still doens't fully describe the stellar individual Julie is. She was always kinda, reassuring, had the best timeline that my MOH and BestMan both appreciated to keep things on track. Without Julie, I couldn't image my wedding being the best day of my life. She was genuinely interested in me and my husband and at no point did I ever know there was ever a hiccup in the day. Julie is amazing! We got her basic full service package about 10 months before our wedding date. Our wedding was a destination one as we live in NYC, but from the beginning, she was always "there" for us. She definitely knows what she is doing and I am still amazed at how much attention she devotes to every client without getting mixed up! Our wedding day went smoothly even with our quick timeline. We found Julie (and her husband Mick, who is an amazing DJ) via a recommendation from a friend. We are really glad that we did. Working with Julie has been amazing.
Julie offers several package options that customize how much involvement you want her to have in helping her plan your wedding. We choose the month before the wedding and day of coordinator services she offers. Until your wedding, you get helpful emails (only once a month or so, they’re not intrusive at all) with hints about organizing or planning, and Julie is available for all your questions. She also had fantastic recommendations for other vendors that she’d worked with before and found good.
Once we got to a month from the wedding she took over the planning and organizing. She coordinated between me and the venue to make sure we were all on the same page; she organized a timeline for the bride and groom, wedding party, all other vendors, and family so that everyone knew where they were supposed to be and at what time (our master timeline was over 7 pages and we only had a 5 hour ceremony/reception with 90 guests!); she contacted all the vendors and made sure they knew what was going on and would show up on time; she set up all our wedding favors, the guest book table, and made sure that any outside ceremony flowers were moved inside for the reception; and took care of a million other little details.
Our wedding went off without a hitch and I honestly think it’s because Julie made that happen. I am an incredibly organized person, but I still don’t have the knowledge or awareness to be able to coordinate a wedding. Additionally, the last thing you want to be doing is setting out favors at your own wedding and it’s so relaxing to know that someone reliable is taking care of everything for you.
Julie is kind, funny, knowledgeable, incredibly responsive to your emails, and all around amazing to work with. Julie (and her husband Mick) were easily the best choice we could have made.

We recently worked with Julie as our coordinator for our 4/30/16 wedding. We were really far behind on just about all aspects of our wedding and the day was fast approaching. We had Julie do our “month of” coordination. Had we known then what we know now, we would have hired her as soon as we decided to start planning this. She made everything we hadn’t completed easier and gently gave us reminders of the important things we need to complete first. She was wonderful on help us get everything ready the month of, but she was AMAZING when it came scheduling everyone leading to the event. She made everything flow so smoothly and made the day enjoyable for both me and my bride. Julie handled it all and made sure we were enjoying everything. We cannot thank her enough for everything and make our special day so great. Our only regret is not hiring her earlier.

The Best Wedding For You - is absolutely right and she has plenty of awards for that reason!!! My husband and I had a Comic-Con themed wedding last year. We met her and her husband (the DJ) at a catering event on the military base. When we told Julie where we were having our wedding, she instantly was already giving us recommendations. We had to book her and we are so glad we did! She was familiar with the location (which had its challenges). We signed up for the month package which included two meetings, rehearsal, day of the wedding, and she will communicate with you with any questions you may have via email. When we had our schedule handed to us, we were wondering how we were going to get everything in in 5 hours (limited due to being on the military base). Everything worked wonderfully! On rehearsal day, she helped us work on the transition we wanted to do into our costumes after ceremony. Julie got to work on coordinating and setting everything up on the day of the wedding. She was the only one who captured on film, us and the wedding party transitioning into our costumes (I was Captain America and my husband was Iron Man) behind the black sheet. Julie and her husband did dress up to partake in the festivities as well. Julie (and her husband - will go into detail in another review) did an awesome job on our wedding to make it memorable for us, our family and friends!!! You won't regret it when you hire Julie and her husband. (People still talk about our wedding to this day...)

Our family and guests thought everything was beautiful and the whole day ran smoothly due to her diligence, attention to detail, responsiveness, and organizational skills.
