We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about The Ivy! From the moment we toured the venue to the last dance on our wedding night, every part of our experience exceeded our expectations.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful everything was. The ballroom, cocktail hour space, and grounds created the perfect setting for our wedding. The food and service were exceptional, and everything throughout the evening was flawless.
A huge thank you to Jordan, our wedding coordinator, who was incredible from start to finish. Throughout the planning process, she was organized, responsive, and always willing to answer our questions. On the wedding day, she made everything feel effortless. Knowing she was there coordinating every detail allowed us to relax and truly enjoy every moment. She made us feel so cared for and ensured the entire day ran seamlessly.
We also cannot thank Mike, our maître d', enough. He brought our vision to life perfectly. Walking into our reception for the first time was such an unforgettable moment because every detail had been executed beautifully. Throughout the evening, Mike made sure everything stayed on schedule and that we, our families, and our guests were taken care of. His professionalism and attention to detail were truly outstanding.
The entire team at The Ivy worked together so seamlessly, and it was obvious how much they genuinely cared about making our wedding perfect. Every vendor commented on how wonderful it was to work there, and every guest had an amazing experience.
If you're looking for a wedding venue that combines breathtaking beauty with exceptional service and an incredible staff, The Ivy is the perfect choice. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our wedding day everything we dreamed it would be and more. Thank you for giving us memories we'll cherish for a lifetime! -

My husband and I were married at the Ivy at Ellis Preserve this month. Our wedding day went perfectly. Jordan was an incredible coordinator and made the entire process seamless. As a Type A bride who chose not to hire a wedding planner, I never felt I needed one because Jordan and the Finley staff were so organized and attentive. The day ran flawlessly from start to finish. Both our parents and we had an amazing experience at Finley. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. The food was delicious, and the staff was professional, organized, and attentive throughout the entire event. 5 stars! -

My wife and I had our wedding at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish.
Working with Meg and her team was so easy and fun. They truly do it all and made the entire process feel seamless. From planning to execution, they were organized, responsive, and always willing to help with anything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about making your day perfect.
The food was outstanding. Our guests have not stopped talking about how great everything was, from cocktail hour to dinner and dessert. The drinks, the service, and the overall experience were top notch.
The venue itself is beautiful, and the location made it easy for everyone to attend and enjoy the weekend! Our guests had an amazing time and keep telling us how much fun they had all night.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married. Highly recommend! -

My husband and I got married at the Ivy at Ellis Preserve on March 13th of this year, and it was quite literally the best day of our lives. Wedding planning was not a strong suite of mine but our coordinator, Megan, was so incredibly helpful along the way with every decision. She was prompt in answering my many questions and is just all around a lovely person to work with. Our Maitre D, Mike, who we worked with on final details, our rehearsal, and on the wedding day, made sure that all out details were ironed out and any last-minute questions answered. Every single staff member we interacted with went above and beyond for us, were so kind, and made the day that much more enjoyable. I cannot recommend the Ivy or the folks at Finley Catering enough. Thank you guys!!!! -

Simply the best!
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was everything we could have dreamed of and more for our wedding day. From the very beginning, our wedding coordinator, Jordan made us feel genuinely cared for, paying attention to every detail and making the planning process feel effortless every step of the way. As the big day approached, Nikki, our incredible maître d’, was our calm in the chaos. She ensured everything ran flawlessly and allowed us to be fully present and truly enjoy every moment without stress. Her assistant Ashley and our bridal attendant Sydney were beyond attentive, constantly checking in and making sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. On top of all of that, our guests are still raving about the food — from cocktail hour to dinner, everything was absolutely amazing and exceeded expectations. The level of love, care, and professionalism shown by the entire team is something we will never forget. We truly couldn’t recommend this venue more — it made our wedding day absolutely perfect. -

Thirty years ago, my husband and I attended a Finley wedding at the Ben Franklin in Center City. When our daughter was engaged in December 2024, we only went to Finley's newest wedding venue in Newtown Square, the Ivy at Ellis Preserve. Our wedding coordinator, Megan Radano and bridal attendant Kathy Barr were all this MOB needed to book our wedding here....and it truly was a day to remember! This gorgeous space fit comfortably our 250 guests while providing the most delicious food. After feasting on brisket, crab and other delights during cocktail hour, many thought that this was their main meal for the night. Dinner was delicious if you had any room left:) And, in addition to the Master Baker Cake, there was a dessert bar that included waffles and hand scooped ice cream alongside a coffee bar. All those with allergies, or not, were well taken care of by the most amazing staff. Megan, Michael our Maitre-D, Nikki, Kathy, Hailey, Bill and Ralph and every table server and bartender. We have received so many thank you's from our guests who said that this was the BEST WEDDING EVER. So grateful Finley Team for making our dream wedding come true! We love you!
And, just another perk, the two hotels within walking distance and restaurants including a Ruth Chris Steak house all provided excellent service for our guests. -

Simply the best is an understatement!
Literally the best. Our family has had weddings at Cescaphe, country clubs, all which we were very happy with but Finley really outdid themselves! Everyone said it was the best wedding they’ve been too, they couldn’t get over the food especially. And from a service perspective we also felt the Finley team was the most attentive and really have it down to a science but let’s you have a say in how the night is run too. Lastly, Savanah our Maitre D even put together a highlight video reel for us that people literally thought was done by our videographer it was that good! Just simple extra touches throughout the day like that really stood out. Bonus tip, extend cocktail hour, the food is so good you will be happy to have the extra time and bites! -

I had my wedding at the Ivy at Ellis Preserve 4/12/25, the space is absolutely beautiful, the chic barnyard theme is elegant, very large, tiered, and the most beautiful venue my husband and I have ever seen! The staff was wonderful throughout the entire process, Tina and Mike did an amazing job setting us up for the big day and helping everything run smoothly that night! Another staff member Margie kept my family and I with a drink at all times and even ended up fixing my dress! Great venue and even better time! -

I cannot say enough beautiful things about our experience at The Ivy. When we first visited, it was a construction site of rubble, dirt, concrete and steel beams. We wore hard hats and had to have a vision of what the completed venue would look like. Our coordinator, Tina was the utmost professional answering every question we had. Once we booked we were so excited! Tina kept us in the loop with regards to flooring and bar installations and the final product. We visited the location in September and was blown away by the aesthetics. My daughters wedding was just in Feb 2025 and The Ivy delivered!!! Not only was the food exceptional and my guest were so impressed, but the STAFF was AMAZING! They exceeded my expectations. Every attention to detail was taken care of. The bridal attendants were so sweet, helpful and accommodating to our every whim. I had 3 staff members swarming over me the entire night asking if I needed anything! A glass of wine, something to eat from the cocktail hour and even bringing my pocketbook to my table! It was over the top and I'm still reeling from it! Even the acoustics was perfect. We had a the Band Masquerade play and everyone was on the dance floor!! They were awesome! My family and guest have been sending text all week with the most beautiful words about Laura and Colin's wedding! It was truly a dream come true and that's coming from the Mother of the Bride! Thank you Ivy and every staff member! You made me and my daughters dream come true!! xoxo -

We got married at The Ivy at Ellis Preserve, Finley's newest ballroom. Our guests were blown away by the aesthetics of the upscale ballroom/ farmhouse vibes. Every detail in the venue was perfect and classy. We have received so many compliments on just about everything. Our guests cannot stop raving about the food -- from cocktail hour to their hot surf and turf entrée to the dessert room completed with an ice cream sundae bar. We can't forget to mention the afterparty spread full of Philly's most favored cuisines. Finley Catering does it right. My husband and I, as well as our families, were waited on the entire night and did not have to worry about a thing. They had it all taken care of. Our wedding coordinator, maitre d, assistant maitre d, and bridal attendants took care of us from start to finish. Working with the Finley team was such a joy as they took away all of the stressful aspects that come along with wedding planning. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. -

Finley Catering is hands down the BEST! If you are considering a Finley venue, rest assured that you will be making a great decision! The best way I can describe Finley is a well-oiled machine. They have done this for so long that they could do it in their sleep and still crush it! They are so organized and experienced which made the wedding day go seamless and stress-free. We truly felt great going into the day because we were confident that they had everything handled! One of the main reasons we chose a Finley location for our wedding was because you receive so much for the cost - amazing food and drinks, cake, ice sculpture, etc. Our guests are still raving about the food, especially the incredible cocktail hour display/selection! You will not go hungry or thirsty at a Finley wedding!
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve is such a great venue! It is all-around BEAUTIFUL! The grand, picture-perfect historic staircase and columns out front, lovely grounds and cottages around the venue for photo opportunities and the inside of the venue has lots of natural light that makes it feel both cozy/welcoming but fancy at the same time! The layout inside the venue is awesome too - spacious and has a great flow. Special shoutout to Megan Rodano who was OUR HERO! She helped us every single step of the way from our initial tour all the way to cleaning up after the wedding. She was so responsive, helpful, patient, creative and truly went above and beyond to make our day as perfect as possible! Highly recommend Finley/The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve for any event/occasion! -

April 13th Wedding Review
Ellis was the first and only venue that my wife and I looked right after we got engaged. From the first time meeting with our coordinator Tina, all the way up to the day of the wedding, they were nothing short of amazing. We had a lot of changes happen with our planning and Ellis did everything in their power to ensure our wedding day was hands down the best day of our lives. 2 months later and people are still raving about the amount of food, the quality of food, as well as the taste of food. We have heard numerous times that "that was the best wedding we have ever been to." I cannot recommend Ellis enough and encourage any bride that is considering it, to just book it! -

Megan made the process very easy and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her with all our questions leading up to the wedding. The maitre d Paige and her assistant were both extremely helpful that night especially with the last minute changes with guests and timeline. All the staff was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for better people. We are very grateful!!
The reception was an absolute dream! People could not stop talking about how delicious cocktail hour food was, the abundance, as well as the beauty of the building and ballroom. The uplighting really elevated the room and it felt so elegant and dreamy. We are elated on how everything turned out and we wouldn’t change anything. We highly recommend this venue!! -

Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true, and we owe it all to the incredible team at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve/Finley Catering. We had Tina as our venue coordinator and we ended up using her as our florist as well and I cannot say enough amazing things about Tina and the support she provided throughout the entire planning process. She was incredibly helpful and communicative with the venue coordination, and I was beyond impressed with her dedication to making my floral dreams a reality. She listened to my ideas and provided valuable insights, helping select the most stunning blooms that suited our style and budget.
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was a dream venue, and every single aspect of our wedding day was truly remarkable and seamless. The bridal suite was spacious and fun, the service from start to finish was absolutely impeccable, and the FOOD - I heard from countless guests that this was the best wedding food they have ever had and I could not agree more. The cocktail hour spread was insane, dinner was delicious and every plate was hot, and the dessert spread was off the charts. The staff was professional, attentive, and friendly. They went above and beyond to make sure me and the groom, our parents, and our guests felt special and well taken care of. I have to give a special shout out to our maitre d, Abel. I've been in a lot of weddings and I have never seen a maitre d/day of coordinator who is so on top of things yet so chill at the same time. He was funny, incredibly attentive, and made sure we didn't have to think or stress about a single thing on our wedding day. Abel, Tina, and the whole team at Ellis were nothing short of amazing and we are forever grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped us create. The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve checked every single box of what a perfect wedding should be and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!!! -

We had our daughter’s weddings at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve on 3/25/23 and it was absolutely perfect. Every single detail from our first meeting with Megan until the end of the after party was spot on.
Megan is absolutely amazing to work with-she went above and beyond my every expectation.
Abel has the entire day down to a science and makes sure the only thing you need to do is have a great time.
Our guests continue to say that it was the best wedding they’ve been to and that the food was absolutely phenomenal.

We got married at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve this weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Guests are still talking about how great everything was from venue to the food and staff.
We started off by working with Megan who was a total angel from the start. She is truly such a pleasure to be around and she is a major part of what sold us on the venue. She is so responsive, so helpful, so kind, accommodating and overall amazing at her job. Seeing her on our wedding day just made me feel confident that nothing would go wrong. She is a major asset to this venue and we cannot thank her enough.
Abel, the maitre D is a literal saint. He nailed the entire day and made sure it ran so smooth, and if I had a question, a need, a request, he handled it right there on the spot. It was almost unreal how amazing he is at his job. The day was planned out by the minute and it truly could not of gone any better. We also cannot thank him enough and he is another major asset to this venue.
Our bridal suite attendant Shannon ( I think that was her name, I’m sorry if it’s wrong) was another amazing amazing person. She saw me getting out of my heels and without hesitation, came over and switched my shoes for me, she made sure we had everything we needed and was such a pleasure to be around .
The food was spectacular, absolutely incredible. From the cocktail hour to the entree’s, I was stopped every 5 seconds by guests raving about how good everything was. It was served timely, it was fresh, I wouldn’t change a thing.
The bartenders were some of the kindest souls I ever met and kept the guests happy and filled all night.
The staff as a whole are truly passionate about what they do and they understand what an important day this is for the bride and groom and we are so happy with our decision to go with this venue. There is not a single thing I would of changed about the entire experience with Finley Catering and it’s staff.
12/10 experience, I would relive it over and over if I could. -

Outstanding!
My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at Ellis Preserve back in July and it was everything we could have wished for and more! The venue itself is STUNNING, but what really makes it stand out above the rest is the Finley Catering team. From the planning process to the day-of facilitation, we felt confident that we were in great hands. We worked closely with Tina to plan the details of our day and she was wonderful. She was patient, responsive, and highly communicative every step of the way. On the day of our wedding, we were blown away by the level of service provided by the Finley team. Even our parents had a personal attendant (who was amazing), so their glasses were always full with their beverages of choice! Our guests are still raving about the stunning facilities, outstanding food options, and exceptional service. The Finley team truly has it all down to a science! If we could do it all over again, we would absolutely choose them again!

This Venue for our wedding wAs nothing less than outstanding!! The crew were extremely accommodating and professional yet so warm and welcoming. The ballroom was just so beautiful, they pay great attention to detail with everything they do. The bridal suite was beautiful!!! Our guests ALL raved about the cocktail hour and the dinner was mouthwatering. Service was amazing. I couldn’t recommend this place more!! In fact I hope to attend a wedding there as a guest soon. We live in Florida and were nervous about planning a long-distance wedding in Pennsylvania. Thankfully, the Finley Catering team at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve made the entire process easy and fun through their professionalism and responsiveness. They were very organized during the planing process and were easy to work with. A lot of the wedding day items are included through the venue making the process even easier such as the catering, cake, linens, etc. You can also opt to hold your wedding ceremony on-site and also host an after party which we highly recommend. The day-of was a breeze with their amazing staff on-site ensuring that everything runs smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy the day knowing that Finely would take care of all of the details. We absolutely loved working with the Finley family to make our wedding dream come true!!!!!! We actually started touring at Union Trust, but we wanted more of a nature vibe. After meeting with Michelle, and sharing our vision with her, she immediately suggested the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve! We were connected to Trish and she showed us around the ballroom. After just 5 minutes touring, we immediately knew we wanted to get married outside at Ellis!!!! From there, we signed the contract to secure our date, and began planning the wedding of our dreams! All of our other vendors had heard of Finley and Ellis before, most of them already provided their services there for past weddings too, so everyone worked so well together on the day of. Leading up to our special day, we were connected with Tina who helped us plan the best day ever! Tina was so helpful with all the details, with all her experience she really understood our vision and helped us schedule out our day perfectly. Before our big day we had our group tasting where all the food was delicious, and then our menu meeting where we got to make our food choices (and also choose to our upgrades — we used sparklers for our entrance!!!!!!). Tina did a great job leading up to the wedding and then handing us off to Megan (our maitre d). Megan was an excellent communicator and walked us through how the day would work. Megan also led our ceremony rehearsal and did a fantastic job keeping the bridal party informed of how the ceremony would work. Megan also did a phenomenal job the day of the wedding— from the morning of, having breakfast and lunch fully stocked, champagne in the bridal suite (which is BEAUTIFUL), music playing- it was so nice to get ready to! Then Megan organized the bridal party for the ceremony, and afterwards had a drink for me and my husband and also cocktail food waiting for us in the bridal suite!!!! The entire night was so seamless as she helped the show go on (entrances, dinner, drinks ALL night (constantly had a drink in our hands), cake cutting, bouquet tossing). It was all perfect!!!!!! And then, since we didn’t get to eat all our food, Megan had our food boxed up and we got to eat delicious leftovers the next day! Everyone raved about the food, the drinks and the dessert table!!!!! In addition, all our guests loved the lighting in the reception room (which we got to choose). Everything was so personalized and we can’t thank Finley enough. SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing! 100% Recommend.
The entire Finley staff at Ellis Preserve is phenomenal. I started working with them back in 2020 for my 2022 wedding. Megan & Brielle worked tirelessly to help ensure every detail for my wedding was documented and executed with perfection. No matter what (big/small), Megan & Brielle answered every single one of my many emails and were able to pivot to accommodate my changes/new requests as needed. The facility is beautiful and the food was amazing. From Megan, Brielle, the head chef, waiters (both bridal suite/guest), bartenders and owners I am so grateful for all their support in making my wedding day spectacular!! -

Best venue around!
Our wedding at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was everything we could have hoped for! The whole day was perfect, from the food to the atmosphere to the amazing service. Our guests were blown away by all the amazing appetizers at cocktail hour and the “best steak we’ve ever had” at dinner. The ballroom itself was perfect for our ~170 person wedding, and we all had a blast at the after party in the cocktail room. The whole day ran so incredibly smoothly in large part due to the amazing staff, especially Brielle and Meghan who were a huge help through the process. If you want your day to be perfect for you and all your guests, we highly recommend considering the Ballroom at Ellis! -

Where do I even begin with how amazing Finley is! Our wedding at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was like a dream. We booked Ellis a little under two years prior to our wedding. We loved Trish Finley and she was a huge part of why we chose that venue. Ellis is absolutely gorgeous! One of the biggest selling points is the absolutely stunning bridal suite. That really made the entire morning so relaxing and enjoyable. Tina, our event coordinator, was absolutely wonderful. She was communicative, responsive, and very patient with all of our questions. She made sure everything was in place to make sure we had the perfect wedding. We also worked with Brielle and Megan, who were both incredible. They were so kind, fun, and attentive. You honestly don't need a planner with all of the people wonderful people at Finely. On the day of, Shannon was my bridal attendant and she was just awesome. The entire staff is first class! We've received so many compliments about every aspect, but especially the food. The food really is the best! Our guests were particularly impressed with the dessert room. Everything was flawless and we wouldn't change a thing. I would recommend this venue to anyone. -

The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve and Finley Catering was by far the best decision made for our wedding! First, the food is absolutely incredible. I wish I took time to enjoy it more, there was just so much of it and I couldn’t get to it all! Megan helped me through the planning process and immediately answered all of my annoying questions. The bartenders were so nice and quick! They were amazing. Brielle was there the night of my wedding, and she was also incredible. She handled everything, all my decorations were put out perfectly, and any time I wanted to change something she was right there to do it. We also always had food or drinks when we needed. My husband said he doesn’t know how much he drank because it just magically kept getting full haha! I am so happy with how my wedding went and I cannot recommend Finley Catering enough! If you are considering for your wedding, do not look any further. -

Everything is perfect!
I got married on a Thursday at Ellis Preserve and it was SO worth it. They give the absolute best weddings every day of the week. They prioritize you every step of the way. Everything was perfect, and the guests are still talking about the delicious food. Meghan, Brielle, and Trish are all personable and treat you like family. I highly recommend! -

Best day of our lives!
We had the wedding of our dreams and it was all thanks to the coordination of Megan and Brielle! They did such a fabulous job helping us through the very stressful process of planning a wedding. Even on the day of when little things went astray (as they always do on a wedding day) they were able to keep calm and sort it all out which in turn allowed my husband and me to enjoy our day worry free! Of course we should mention how stunning the venue is! We have only got raving reviews from guests, claiming “it was the best wedding food they have ever had”! From how smoothly everything went on schedule to the amazing cocktail hour and dinner even to the amazing bartenders and staff, we could not have dreamed up a better day! We are recommending @TheBallroomatEllisPreserve to everyone we know! Thank you again to Megan, Brielle and the staff for making it the best day of our lives!! -

This venue has it all! Our wedding was held at the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve and coordinated by Finley Catering - and it was amazing. The cost of the wedding was reasonable considering everything they include, and their team is so professional! Megan, Brielle, and the whole team were kind, professional, and made everything go as smoothly as possible from start to finish. We originally had to reschedule due to the pandemic, and they were very flexible considering the circumstances. With our new date we were still able to enjoy a tasting, have our pre-wedding meeting, and the big day went off perfectly. On the day of, a bride's biggest worry is having to handle all of the little details, but with Finley you will have a coordinator, which eases so much of the stress the week and day of! They help with communicating with your other vendors, and allow you to sit back and enjoy your wedding day. My husband and I wouldn't change a thing! Between the outdoor option for a ceremony, the gorgeous ballroom, a beautiful cocktail room and patio, and a hair and makeup suite - you can't go wrong! The Hilton hotel is also located across the street and it's a 5 minute shuttle ride! The food was some of the best dishes we've ever had, the grounds and ballroom were beautiful, the day had an easy flow to it, and we still hear how much people enjoyed our wedding even months later. If you are still looking for a venue, you can't go wrong! -

We continue to be thankful that the staff at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was flexible, proactive, and real about what was happening during the pandemic. We were of course forced to move our reception from June 2020 to July 2021, and found them to keep us as the couple in mind at all point during the transition.
As you'll see in a number of reviews:
1) The food is phenomenal
2) The staff takes such good care of the couple and their families during the day.
3) The venue is beautiful
We'd get married here again tomorrow if given the chance. -

Best decision for our wedding
The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve was the most stunning and elegant venue for our wedding. The staff is absolutely outstanding. They truly catered to each and everyone of our needs and wants (our parents too!). I cant even begin to express how delicious the food was at our wedding- Finley has a wonderful menu. Ellis Preserve knows exactly what they are doing and they do it all with grace. I HIGHLY recommend this venue for your wedding. P.S. as a bride I did not have to lift a finger day of my wedding and it was truly delightful -

The venue was beautiful, the service was impeccable, the food was 5 star and the planning was made so incredibly easy by the on site event coordinator. Our guests had so much fun and raved about how great the hors d'oerves, dinner and dessert bar all were. We loved the outside patio with firepits as well as the indoor classic decor and ability to matchour theme with their selection of linens, chargers, and uplighting! This venue and caterer is a true gem! -

We had our reception only here and it was amazing! We had to move our days from May to October due to Covid and they were very responsive during all the chaos of replanning. Words can not describe how amazing this venue is. I recently had my wedding @ the Ballroom at Ellis Preserve on Oct 4 2020, and Finley catering has by far exceeded my expectations. As a Covid-19 bride I can say that Ellis was the absolute best decision I made for my wedding. Through all of my planning , the team made me feel valued and made sure my day was everything I dreamed of. My wedding planner Megan and her assistant were so accommodating and paid attention to every detail. Also the food and service were fabulous !! My family and friends are still raving about this venue. It truly was a fairytale wedding and I am forever grateful to Finley and the Ballroom @ Ellis for giving me this special day. -

8.07.2020 Outdoor Tent Wedding!
After working for months with the finley catering team we decided to move our wedding from Crystal Tea in the Philly to Ellis Preserve due to Covid restrictions. We were pretty adamant about keeping the date and the team really worked with us to help make the day more perfect than we could have ever imagined. We tented the front lawn at Ellis and last minute moved the ceremony from a church to the front steps at Ellis as well. The whole Finley team was AMAZING from start to finish during the planning transition and the whole entire day. It even poured right after the ceremony and with the swift actions of their team this didn't put a glitch in the day at all. The whole space was gorgeous, food was delicious and service above and beyond. Even with all the Covid restrictions, the Finley family made our guests feel safe the entire time and made sure everyone stayed dry and had a great time. Truly the best vendor - I could go on but don't look any further than the Finley Catering group and their venues! -

My family and I couldn’t recommend The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve enough. From the staff, to the building, to the food, this venue is first class all the way. When starting the wedding planning journey, we looked at 10 places in the Philadelphia suburbs. None even came close to the look and value of Ellis. On our tour, my mom and I walked into the Ballroom and started to cry – its that pretty! When booking at Ellis, they make everything so easy. There are so many things included already that would typically be upgrades at other venues (premium bar, dessert stations, cake, gold chargers, Chiavari chairs, etc.). During the planning process Carly was so helpful and quick to respond. Its so hard to plan/decorate a wedding when you’ve only been to the venue a few times, but she really put me at ease! On wedding day, the staff was incredible…Megan ran the show and Brielle attended to my husband and I. Brielle was so amazing and made sure we had a drink in our hand the entire night 😊. Our parents even had dedicated servers to make sure that they had everything they needed. The food at cocktail hour and dinner was excellent and I still have guests commenting on how great it was.

The team at Ellis Preserve went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was absolutely perfect. We worked with Carly throughout the planning process - she was extremely responsive and helpful and walked us through everything thoroughly. One great thing about Finley was their 'all-in' pricing package - it made things extremely easy and transparent when budgeting for the wedding. Carly made sure we were aware of the costs for any 'upgrades' or 'extras' such as specialty linens or sparklers. On the day of the wedding, our maitre d' Megan made sure everything went off as planned - coordinating with our band and other vendors so that timing was perfect. She even made sure that we always had a drink or food in hand - even when were out on the lawn taking photos before cocktail hour started. So many guests commented on how much they loved our cocktail hour food and dinner and how attentive all of the staff were throughout the night. My husband and I even got to eat (a rarity at your own wedding!), since Megan fixed us a giant spread of the cocktail hour food and sat us down to eat dinner - all of the food was delicious and fresh.
We are so glad we chose The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve - it is elegant, classy, fun, and Finley catering made the entire process so easy and enjoyable! -

I had my wedding here about a month ago and I can't tell you how amazing the entire staff was! Carly was our main point of contact and she was so responsive...and certainly helped me this entire past year by addressing all of my questions that I had. Meghan, the Maître D, was absolutely fantastic to work with on my wedding day as well. The staff at Finley was just so attentive. They truly cared about our wants and needs. On my wedding day, they set everything up just as I wanted it to look like and even asked for my approval if everything looked okay! I can't commend them enough for their work. I still have guests raving about the great time that they had and they all loved the food!!! I would 100% recommend this venue because the Finley staff was so impressive to work with! We had our wedding reception at the Ballroom on 1/25/19, and I cannot recommend this venue more! From start to finish, the service was impeccable. Carly was wonderful to work with; she answered all of my questions quickly and was so friendly! I felt very comfortable and calm during the planning process because of her help. On the day of, Megan and the serving staff were UNBELIEVABLE. They made sure that we always had drinks in our hands, took special care of our parents and bridal party, and made sure that each and every guest had a wonderful experience. The food was divine - our guests are still raving about it! If you want a stress-free, incredible wedding that people will be talking about for years to come, look no further! My only wish is that I could relive the day over and over again. -

Every aspect of planning a wedding was made simple by the staff at Ellis from beginning stages to the very end during the Sparkler Send Off. The venue itself is gorgeous. We looked at a number of venues but when we walked into The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square (my home town) we both new there was no point in looking any further. The place is just gorgeous. Very accessible with adequate parking, a Hilton hotel within walking distance and a huge dance floor. My friends and family are still talking about the food. OMG the food !!! Amazing ! The women we worked with, Carly and Megan were so professional and personable and made the whole process so enjoyable. We really had the time of our lives and will be forever grateful to how amazing they helped make the whole day. I honestly wish we could do it all over again it was so much fun. I can not recommend this place more highly. Top quality all the way. And do yourself a favor, absolutely get the flower wall !!! -

Meghan Sent on 10/02/2018I had my wedding here in July 2018 and it was AMAZING! I loved this venue online and as soon as I visited in person I fell in love. Let's start with cocktail hour--I got so many compliments on how delicious the food was, the amount of food there was and the placement and decor of the food. There were 3 different stations (I had meat carving, Italian and raw seafood bar) along with 8 buttlered hors d'oeuvre's (combo of hot and cold). The cocktail hour had a room both indoor and outdoor with a bar at each. The outdoor bar was perfect for a summer night and looked out upon the beautiful grounds of the preserve. I extended mine to 1 1/2 hours and it was worth it! Ok now onto the reception -- it was AMAZING! The ballroom is absolutely stunning! They even have different colored lighting that you can pick throughout the night. I had approx 180 guests and there was a ton of room! Plenty of bartenders at each bar so no guest was waiting long in line. Not only was the venue beautiful and food amazing but the staff there is absolutely wonderful to work with!! I worked with Carly and Megan (who was my maitre d'). I had a lot of questions and Carly was always quick to respond...there were even days I think I talked to her more then my own family! Megan was the BEST! I met with her the week of my wedding to go over where to put everything--and she nailed it! When I walked in on my wedding day the ballroom looked exactly how I had dreamed. She always made sure I had a drink in my hand and food the night of the wedding. She kept me on track that night always letting me know what was next and making sure I didn't need anything. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Megan! I also choose to get ready at the ballroom in the bridal suite which was beautiful! Plenty of room for myself, 7 bridesmaids and the two moms. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ellis Preserve...my dream wedding come true!!

The outdoor space was a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and the ballroom was beyond perfect for our cocktail hour and reception. Carly, Megan, and their team made our wedding planning process so easy and stress-free, that when it came to our wedding day we could actually relax and know we were in excellent hands. Our parents and guests raved about the beautiful space, absolutely AMAZING food, and attentive service. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day or people to work with!

Joanna Sent on 08/17/2018I can't say enough great things about The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve. This venue is truly the best and I would recommend it to anyone getting married. We got married two weeks ago and are still getting nonstop compliments about the amazing food, gorgeous ballroom, and overall experience. We worked with Bethany for the majority of the planning process and she was so great to work with. She was incredibly accommodating and we truly felt that the wedding was personalized to our taste. Megan helped us the day of and made sure we felt like royalty all day. The weather was possibly the worst it could have been (humid then pouring rain then drizzling then hot and humid, etc) but we honestly did not even care. They made sure our indoor ceremony was perfect and all of our guests loved the intimate setting. (Plus, the inside is so gorgeous, you don't even have to worry about where to take pictures if it rains... the options are endless!) They went above and beyond for every little detail. .. such as making lavender simple syrup for my signature cocktail!! The week of the wedding, I was a mess with questions and wanting to change the floor plan, etc and they were nothing but sweet and helpful the entire time. Recommend this venue 100%!!

When we signed our contract the venue was still under construction and all that we saw were concrete floor and steel beams as we toured the ballroom. That being said I didn’t have any doubt or anxiety with what Finley Catering was going to provide. They always were able to answer any of our questions and were extremely acommodating to all of our requests. The day of our wedding was perfect and everything went off with one issue. All of our guest complimented every part of the wedding and still talk about it today as one of the best venues [appearance, food, staff] that they have ever been to! Thank you Finley catering and the staff at The Ballroom at Ellis Preserve for a magical night!

Their entire team, from the Finley family leadership, Jennifer, Carly, Megan, the Bar Staff, and the entire crew are focused entirely on providing the best event for you. In addition to personalizing every detail for our daughter and her fiancé, their team was available for every question or topic for a year. The ambiance, the cocktail hour appetizers, the choices of wine, the food, and the hospitality provided to the bridal party were the best. In addition to virtually every guest providing complements on the Ellis Preserve experience, we thoroughly enjoyed working with Finley. They are so nice and accommodating to your special day. Jessica Sent on 03/28/2018My husband and I got married on October 5, 2017! We knew this was our venue the moment we pulled up. It is the most gorgeous building, ever! Side note: the building has its on emoji (just saying). With an even more stunning ballroom. We were the ballrooms FIRST Thursday wedding. Yes, a Thursday. And I would not change a thing! With the amount of guests who attended and the people on the dance floor all night, you would have NEVER known that it was a week day! For starters, my husband and I fell in love with Jenn from the beginning! She was SO amazing, helping us out from the second we stepped into the building for the very first time. She had a checklist of things that needed to be accomplished during this crazy process that you wouldn't even think of! She is amazing. My husband and I moved across the country in the middle of our wedding planning (stressful) and Jenn was there every step of the way, keeping in touch with me through email, which made it extremely stress free.
Leading up to and the day of, Megan, our maitre d', was also AMAZING. How is it possible that there are so many amazing people working for Finley Catering? Megan was the sweetest, most thoughtful person, ever! I prefer to eat gluten-free and without even mentioning that to her, the night of our wedding, during dinner, Megan brought me out a gluten-free crab cake. I was extremely thankful and not even expecting it at all! I was completely OK with eating the regular crab cake (to die for).
From our bridal suite brunch, Hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and dessert, everything was absolutely DELICIOUS! My husbands family traveled to the ballroom from the West Coast and could not stop raving about the food! "The best crab cake they have ever tasted!"
Even though this review is extremely long (I apologize), I am sure that I still forgot to mention wonderful things about this place! This shows that the staff of Finley Catering goes above and beyond to make the days leading up to their weddings PERFECT! -

The venue itself is gorgeous, my wedding was 2wks ago and people are still raving how it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to! I know every bride says that about her wedding day but I seriously can not say enough good things about how perfect the day was and it is all because of the Finley team. From the beginning of planning I worked with Trish and Jenn, I dont think these two ladies could have been any more helpful then they were. They treated me with such kindness, answered all of my emails (and there was a lot) quickly and with the answers I needed and just made the whole planning experience so easy. The day of we all got ready in the beautiful bridal suite and Nicole took care of us from the time we got there and through the night and she could not have been more helpful and nice. Our Maitre' d was Megan, WHO WAS FABULOUS! I met with her the week of to go over everything for the day of and I immediately felt more at ease about the day. She was hands down the best thing on my wedding day because she took care of every single detail for me and she did a fantastic job. If you are thinking about a place to hold your wedding you must check Ellis out. It is run like a well oiled machine and the Finley team knows what they are doing. If anything went wrong that day I never knew it. They couldn't do enough for us and everything I requested they delivered, they treated us like royalty. My family and friends can not get over the food, the food was absolutely ridiculous (in a good way). If you love your food like we do, you will not be disappointed, totally worth every single penny we paid. Its been about a week since my wedding and that is all everyone is still talking about. They are all saying it is the best wedding they have ever been to and how fantastic the food was. I am so grateful for everyone there for making my day so beautiful and it HIGHLY recommend them.
