My husband and I decided on two must haves for our wedding day: a unique venue and great food. From the moment we stepped into the Terrain venue located in Glen Mills, we knew it was where we wanted to get married and host our indoor ceremony with family and friends. We wanted a unique location that felt like home and Terrain delivered. Our wedding took place this December with ~80 guests and it was the most seamless, efficient, and fun process. The winter décor they provide for the venue is classy, elegant, and beautiful and every space of the venue it picture perfect. You can easily enhance it with as little or as much of your personal style as you want and it will be look absolutely breathtaking. Carla and the entire Terrain event staff made our wedding day so special, and I loved that they made sure we took time to be together to enjoy the little moments. Carla made the entire planning experience a breeze and I knew I was in good hands where I didn't feel like I needed another day of coordinator or wedding planner. She answered EVERY question I had promptly, and it was a joy to work with her. A special shout out to Hen, our attendant for the Mushroom House for her professionalism in handling our wedding party as well as doing breathing exercises with me prior to the ceremony and checking in on me throughout the night (you are an angel). The package Terrain offers is unbeatable, and the food and drink options are endless to ensure everyone’s tastes and dietary restrictions are accommodated. We have received numerous compliments since our wedding on how magical the venue is, the service guests received, and the food (just what we hoped for!), and if you want only the best for your wedding day, book Terrain. We plan to make Terrain our annual anniversary dinner because we miss it already! -

I just had my wedding at Terrain at Styers (May 2024) and it could not have been more perfect. From start to finish the team was organized, responsive, and pleasant to work with. They run a tight ship and make the planning process a breeze. I can't imagine having worked with any other venue because they handle so much. I had an outside day of coordinator to help but depending on the complexity of your plans, you don't necessarily need one (though I do recommend it). The decor is nice enough that you don't have to add much. Allison planned the majority of my wedding and was amazing. Maura planned the final weeks and worked the day of. I am so grateful to have had Maura as Allison's replacement. Her calm energy was exactly what I needed when inevitable problems arose (not Terrain related), and she was on top of it all! The weather was awful for my day and we had to do an indoor ceremony, but I'm actually glad it ended up that way because the decor and lighting was beautiful. Before ever visiting I knew this was the perfect venue, and my experience lived up to the hype. Talented chefs, tasteful decor, extremely photogenic landscape, ample parking, ample hotel options (all were great), best of all, an organized and fun to work with staff. Every guest who spoke to me said it was the best wedding they had ever attended. I have to agree because it was a dream come true. -

Early on in wedding planning and venue shopping, I came across Terrain on WeddingWire and was immediately hooked. My original plan of renting a pavilion in a state park and booking food truck was out the window; I quickly learned the cost of rentals and food. Terrain is a beautiful all-in-one venue. The site itself is gorgeous, and the stationary decor and lighting the the garden shed is beautiful on it's own. The food was raved about all night, and even as I'm typing this I am getting texts from my guests about how they loved the family style of eating and that between cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert, they never felt hungry the entire night. Terrain provided the dinnerware, the silverware, all kinds of glassware, table runners, dinner tables and chairs, and the outdoor seating for the ceremony. Carla, our outstanding terrain consultant, had been in contact with us over the six months leading up to the big day. The monthly meetings, questionnaires, and contact lists were a godsend in planning. The best part was watching it all come together. While Carla worked with the vendors and behind-the-scenes work day-of, our attendant Leah was calm, cool, and collected. She worked with the bridesmaids and myself in coordinating photos, the first look, even helping me to the bathroom prior to our cocktail hour entrance. She never rushed us, always made our decisions feel heard and felt like one of the group by the end of the night. Cheers to the both of them, and the entire terrain staff, for making the day feel so effortless. all our of love, the new Mr and Mrs Thompson! -

Choosing Terrain at Styers as our wedding venue was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made. What drew us in, was the warmth and coziness that radiated throughout the entire space. We were instantly captivated.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented, earning countless compliments from our guests.

Everything is amazing and top notch at this venue! Starting with beauty of the venue and the amazing staff. From the very first email I sent to the day of my wedding here everyone was so great. I worked with Carla and Allison for my wedding and they made the process so easy. Everything is so organized and our meeting leading up to the wedding alleviated any anxiety I had about the day.
They are so helpful and I would recommend this venue and staff to everyone. They were so accommodating with my food allergies along those of our guests. Our guests raved about the food. My wedding day went so smoothly and they made sure I didn’t stress at all. If they needed to ask me something on ny wedding day, they were calm and jumped right in. Even calmed me down when I realized I left the plant I bought for my ceremony at the hotel and came up with a solution right away.
I planned the wedding myself so I was afraid that I didn’t hire a coordinator/planner, but they were so great the day of making sure everything went smoothly that I didn’t regret it at all. They made sure to let us know where we had to be and escorted us there and even queue up the bridal party for the ceremony and told them when they should started walking down the aisle. Both families raved about the staff and I am so happy we chose Terrain for our big day! -

If you are planning on having a wedding with approximately 100 or fewer people, you MUST have your wedding here!
Everything about this venue made for the perfect and most stress-free wedding planning experience and day we could have possibly imagined! We live halfway across the country and were unable to tour venues, but we were incredibly impressed with the beauty of the venue from pictures, and also the responsiveness of the staff.
Around 6 months before the event, we were assigned an event manager, Courtney, who met with us once a month. During the monthly meetings, we discussed our ideas, visions for the day, had our questions answered, and completed questionnaires. The questionnaires were essential for keeping us on track with planning the entire day. By the time we were a couple months out from the wedding, we were calm with the knowledge that all of our questions had been answered, all of our wishes had been heard, and all of our questionnaire data had been translated into a clear schedule and timeline that we were able to share with our DJ and photographer.
During the day, everything went flawlessly! From vendor load-in to keeping schedule for pre-ceremony photos, ceremony timing, and all of the reception details – it was amazing! Plus, they offer a small detail that made all the difference. After the ceremony, my bride and I were encouraged to take a few minutes to ourselves in the mushroom house (bridal suite on site) where the staff had left a plate of passed hors d'oeuvres and two of our signature cocktails. It allowed us to spend a quiet moment together and eat some food so we could spend more time with our guests! The food and bar service were next level! The wait and bar staff were professional, speedy, and made for a super efficient and enjoyable experience for us and our guests. The food was also amazing! Such a great variety of hors d'oeuvres, main dishes, and desserts to suit all dietary restrictions and preferences. Our guests loved the s’mores and firepit outside (October wedding). We had family style plating, which we loved!
In summary, this venue was beautiful, the staff was amazing, the food was incredible, and it made for a perfect night! -

My husband and I love Terrain, we've been to both locations - Devon and Glen Mills to shop and eat brunch / dinner quite a few times. The wedding portion of the property is super unique, and the food is phenomenal. The Garden Shed (Reception building) is everything we wanted and more. I wanted long gorgeous wooden tables and chairs, which they provide. Talk about their Indian temple you get married in front of, who can say they've done that before? How about their gorgeous dance floor and strung lights indoor and outdoor. Can't forget about the Mushroom house (Bridal suite), one of the oldest standing buildings in the area. I loved that they can provide all of the basic things you need for a wedding without having to spend an extra fortune buying / renting those things. The bread in the flower pots were definitely one of things I was most excited for, for our guests to experience. All of the appetizers and desserts are served on gorgeous wooden bowls, trays, cutting boards. I love the complimentary s'more station out of the gorgeous fire pit area. Our Event Manager was great to work with as well, I asked a ton of questions, and they were quick at responding and being straight forward. The night went too fast but it was a night I'll never forget. -

I literally had been dreaming about getting married at Terrain, even years before I was engaged, after attending a shower there. Terrain is one of those magical places, and who wouldn't want to feel magical on their wedding day. Once we were engaged, my husband and I looked at five different venues; Terrain just happened to be the last one, and when we left my husband just said "this is it, this is the place." So we booked the following day for a wedding that was 2 years out (10/18/20). Then covid hit, and state mandates forced us to move our date back to 10/31/21. The Terrain team made what was a very stressful time, a lot easier with their empathy, transparency and willingness to find solutions. I've heard several horror stories from other couples as to what their venues did as a result of having to postpone due to covid, and I feel blessed that Terrain not only held to our contract, but actually offered some additional enhancements as a result of having to push our date back. Our wedding day at Terrain was absolutely magical. The staff were wonderful, the setting couldn't be any prettier, and the food terrific. Our pictures turned out wonderfully, and will always remind me of our magic day together. -

I truly cannot recommend this venue enough. Our photographer helped us find this venue this past February when we shifted from a large 100+ person wedding to a 22 person microwedding. Kelsey and Dana were AMAZING and so helpful leading up to the wedding with planning. They truly allow you to make it personal to you as a couple and are so accommodating! The day of the wedding the team jumped right in- helping to set up where they could, followed us with food/drinks during photos so we didn’t pass out LOL, and something that really stood out to me was when the belt on my dress snapped during dancing…one of the staff came right to the rescue with a safety pin to keep it up so I could continue dancing and not stress! They all work together to really make sure your day is seamless. If there were any hiccups in the day, we really wouldn’t know because of how on top of things the venue staff were! Guests and vendors were raving about how delicious the food was and how welcoming the staff were to them. & of course, the venue itself it STUNNING and the perfect location for an intimate wedding like we had dreamed of! -

Oh my, where do we start? Our journey with Terrain spanned 2 years. We were slated to be a May 2020 Bride and Groom but due to COVID we were forced to move our wedding to May 2021. Eileen, Dana and Kelsey made this process seamless, we had no issues moving our date and signing a new contract. In addition, there was honest sympathy and consideration for what we were going through. Our event manager, Eileen even made us a promise that our 2021 date would be even more amazing than we originally planned, but I will get to that promise later in this review.
Throughout the process (both 2020 and 2021), all of my questions were answered and the Honeybook platform made communication open and easy. We had talked to other couples who were forced to move their dates and many of them had a negative experiences and poor communication with their vendors. Terrain provided a clear timeline for expectations and not one detail was missed- even when our event manager went on maternity leave and there were staffing changes in the Design Team. They always maintained the highest professionalism.
Terrain at Styers is truly remarkable place in itself, simply touring the space you cannot deny how truly enchanting it is. To combine this with the event team and the talent of Design by Terrain, the service they offer is simply unmatched. I can attest that if you choose to invest in Terrain, you can give them full trust to make your wedding day the best day possible. We had so many concerns about the weather, the pandemic, meals options….you name it and we stressed about it--and Terrain? Well, they had a plan, an answer and suggestion. There is no better team you could ask for.
Now back to Eileen’s promise---she certainly did not lie. Our wedding day was absolutely magical. Even after missing a few monthly meetings, Eileen picked up right where we left off. Throughout the whole process, Eileen and I talked about all of the details of our day and she was always bursting with fresh ideas and suggestions. Out of all the wedding planning things, I will miss our monthly calls the most. Each call we would talk about details and she would suggest a way to make my ideas even more special or elevate them in a way that she knew would be meaningful. That meant so much to me and the day of the wedding those details stayed with our guests for days after. Many of them reached out to tell us how amazed they were and how beautiful the entire day was. Without a doubt, the pandemic forced us to make changes but it also allowed us to elevate parts of the wedding that we had not planned prior and make changes to things that were not quite what we wanted. We were thankful for Eileen and her commitment, within her promise we felt extreme confidence. There was no need for a wedding planner, Eileen was on beat with every single detail and I say that with loud hand claps in between for absolute emphasis, ha! Beyond all the dreaming and imagining we did about our day, it exceeded that and we send Eileen a huge thank you for managing our day and ensuring everything was absolutely perfect.
Other details and remarks:
-From our tasting, we knew the food would be outstanding and every single guest commented about how amazing the food was. -Due to the pandemic, we downsized to 70 guests and while large weddings are often what is desired, we feel immensely grateful for our smaller wedding. It was way more special to have our closest guests there and we would not redo a single detail aside from buying more bourbon for the bar.
-One of the main reasons we booked with Terrain was for the breathtaking photos we had seen from other couples and we now have our own—forever. The day flew by and I cherish the pictures and videos that we have. It really is what you have to hold on to- so keep the back drops for your photos in mind.
-We also hired the Design by Terrain team to handle the garden shed and reception details (seating chart, tablescapes and floral installation). They were worth every penny and I literally cried when I saw the room all lit up before our ceremony. I will never forget that moment and am so thankful.
If you are bride and groom thinking about Terrain, I will tell you that you will not find a better venue and whatever dreams you have for your wedding day will be even more special at Terrain. My husband and I joke that we would get married again at Terrain if it means being able to relive its magic.
With that said, Thank You to Terrain for making our wedding dreams come true!

Best thing I ever did!
Omg minus getting married and having my daughter, booking Terrain was the best thing I ever did. Not only is the venue just absolutely gorgeous (like literally not one bad backdrop) and the food insanely delicious (food is to die for, people are still raving about the food at my wedding), but the staff here is outstanding - like I can’t say enough great things about them and express my gratitude enough. Kelsey, Eileen, and Dana are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They went above and beyond for us. Even the menu tasting is so personalized and intimate. We postponed our wedding bc of Covid and they could not have been more supportive and accommodating. I heard horror stories from my engaged friends whose venues fought them about postponing. Not Terrain. They gave us every option possible and even sent us a little care package in the mail. They worked with us every step of the way and stayed in communication with us the whole way through. They made me feel so special and really made this experience so memorable - Kelsey even personally texted me the morning of my wedding with such kind words. I honestly teared up. I could never have imagined the staff caring about me so much and being so genuinely excited for me. All of them feel like friends now and I can’t wait to find excuses to book more events at Terrain so I can work with them again. Seriously just book them - you won’t regret it. My day was absolutely magical and I 100% credit Terrain and the staff for that - I could not have asked for a better venue. Eileen - I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you for coordinating my whole day flawlessly & easing all my anxieties. And HUGE shout out to ISABEL!!! Omg - best bridal attendant a girl could hope for. She was my right hand the whole day, running around for me like crazy and just the absolute sweetest girl in the world. Thank you!! -

The team at Terrain were absolutely incredible to work with. They were very understanding and flexible with the pandemic, upping their safety protocols and doing everything they could think of (and they're a pretty creative bunch) to execute a memorable event within the current Covid restrictions. Our 35-person wedding was an absolute dream, and almost every guest commented on how great the service was and how smooth everything went. The hospitality really stands out. And of course, the venue itself is GORGEOUS. I couldn't have asked for a better setting and team. Want to have a day where you don't have to worry about the details and even things you didn't think of are considered and taken care of? This is your team.

Due to COVID, we decided to cancel our big wedding at another venue and booked terrain for a 25 person micro wedding in the hot house. If you’re looking for a story book, photogenic venue with great food and staff, this is your place. I was very sad to give up my big wedding dreams but was glad I could at least have something small that my guests and I would remember forever where I could take beautiful pictures. Kristin was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. She’s good at her job. 2 weeks before the wedding my husband got covid and as you can imagine, it was a very emotional time but terrain was incredibly flexible and understanding and they worked with us to postpone shortly after. Some might think it’s pricey but in life you get what you pay for and you truly get good quality service and food here. I’d recommend it to anyone and people have already inquired about it since posting some of the beautiful pictures. My guests are still talking about how dreamy it was. -

Everything about this venue is 5 stars. Our event coordinator Eileen is such a sweetheart and was so patient throughout my many questions. Katie from the design team nailed the whole moody fall vibe I was going for. Everyone still mentions how good all of the food was. My nerves were a mess on my wedding day but as soon as I arrived at Terrain, it was show time and literally everything was under control. Everyone was so comforting, supportive and my bridal attendant was super funny. I am also so happy Terrain has a store and café, it's nice to have the option to go back and reminisce. I can't thank everyone who works at this venue enough. It truly was the best day ever. -

My husband and I can’t recommend Terrain at Styers enough. We had our microwedding here and it was the absolute best day ever, thanks in large part to Terrain.
We originally had a destination wedding planned in Savannah, GA (we live in NJ), and in July we decided to cancel due to Covid. I was devastated, but we chose to have a microwedding with our immediate family and bridal party instead of postponing. We found Terrain and when we went to visit, the sadness of cancelling our Savannah wedding went away.
Terrain was absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful October day where we could have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all outside. It was the perfect night.
Working with Kristin was extremely easy. She was knowledgeable and was able to execute our vision of what we wanted perfectly. We can’t wait to go back and visit this beautiful place!!

I would highly recommend having your wedding at Terrain at Styers. For our wedding the garden shed and the mushroom hut were just amazing. The decorations were just beautiful and it just looked so great and made our special day feel like a dream. There was a large menu available in terms of food and they were all delicious. We were unlucky to have our wedding during what is still the thick of the Corona Virus but the staff was very understanding and quick to respond to our concerns. Eileen was our Event Manager and she really did a great job getting us through everything. My wife and I were very happy with how things turned out. Go there for a visit and I am sure you will see what we are talking about! -

If you’re not picking terrain for your wedding you’re doing it wrong
If you’re not booking terrain in glen mills for your wedding, you’re doing it so wrong. My husband and I were a COVID cancel/reschedule couple. When we decided to pull the plug on our destination wedding for August in April, I reached out to terrain(because it’s absolutely gorgeous and that’s been my dream venue if I ever did anything in the states) just to see what can be done (in all honesty, we were assuming nothing this year with it being super close to our desired date). I first worked with Kelsey who was absolutely fantastic. Professional, understanding, kind, knowledgeable and extremely responsive. She welcomed my husband and myself and literally worked so hard to get us a date close to our original and always kept us in mind with all the moving pieces. We got September 12 2020 which was absolutely perfect (the day was literally perfect even down to the weather). We then worked with Eileen who, just like Kelsey, is seriously the sweetest, easiest going, professional, understanding, kindest, and most responsive person we’ve ever worked with. Planning a wedding is seriously a pain- cancelling it, rescheduling and planning it again during a pandemic is just a nightmare. Eileen and her team literally took so much stress off my when it came to planning the wedding there. The process was as painless as it gets but the biggest thing why I say terrain is amazing is because they literally built a wood floor and got a tent at no extra charge for couples when the state of PA decreased indoor gatherings so couples have the option of an outdoor wedding rather than postpone or cut people (honestly terrain is SO beautiful so having it outside and under lights was amazing). I literally haven’t heard of any other venue to do that. Other brides and friends that I know who got married in 2020 have told me nightmares about their venues- from charging them a transfer fee for a different date due to a pandemic because the venue isn’t doing any type of accommodating for outdoors- to telling them if they’re outside regardless of meeting the PA guidelines, they can’t dance because people aren’t 6 feet away & there is no money reimbursement. Terrain as a business is how a business should be run. They do right by their clients especially when things are out of everyones control like they are this year. Our wedding was seriously amazing. Not many people this year can say they had the wedding of their dreams- we did. Our guests who’ve never been there LOVED it and those who have been were so pumped we told them where it was. We don’t need to have another wedding next year. Terrain literally made our dreams come true. We were extremely fortunate enough how the cards fell for us. I can’t stress enough how much they are the perfect choice. From the staff, to the food, to the decor, to the ambience- it’s so perfect. I can’t say enough “thank you’s” to Kelsey, Eileen, and the entire staff at Terrain who made our day so perfect. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! -

From start to finish they were unbelievable. We had to change dates due to Covid. Once we rescheduled it had to be moved to outdoors and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Our reception was beautiful, the food is still being talked about, and the service was incredible. I can’t recommend them enough!! -

Terrain is a wonderful place to get married at! If you want a beautiful outdoor wedding with that whimsical, magical feeling, then Terrain is the place to go. Even with all the craziness going on right now (Covid), Terrain and their team made me feel calm and reassured the entire time. The food is amazing and my wedding day was perfect. I can not thank the Terrain team enough for their amazing work. And Design by Terrain are also so amazing! I cried when I saw how beautiful my reception tent looked! -

I will forever be grateful for Terrain at Styers. Every corner of the property is stunning and such a beautiful backdrop for your wedding.
Our wedding was gorgeous thanks to the Terrain team. We chose the Hot House package which is for a wedding with a guest count of 30. We wanted something small and intimate. The design team (Katie) and coordinators (Kristin) set up meeting times so that you can come in and talk about your vision. They are very good at answering all of your questions via telephone or email. Very professional and reliable. I recommend hiring the design team for your flowers and details because they know the space and the vision you are capturing, as well as offer their own recommendations.
Because the Terrain does their own catering, you only have to pick out the menu choices. Their food is delicious! Everyone was satisfied, especially the bride and the groom.
So with the catering, the design team, and the coordinators, I didn't have to do one thing on my big day. I arrived on site an hour before the wedding for photos, walked down the isle, and danced the night away. The staff also clean up and gather your things for you.
Terrain makes any wedding feel very special. My favorite thing was that you can have open flames so the night was lit by gold candlelight. We got married surrounded by hanging lanterns and candles on the floor. It was perfect for a February wedding. Magical and cozy and warm. I did not want the night to end. -

Best day ever is an understatement! I can't thank the staff and floral team at Terrain at Styer's enough for making our big day everything that I could have dreamed of and more! The decor was BEAUTIFUL, the food was amazing, and the attention to detail that the venue pays is unparalleled. All of our guests kept coming up to me and my husband to tell us that they've never been to such a beautiful wedding, and it wouldn't have been possible without all of the support and knowledge that the staff at Styer's has! The venue even assigns couples a wedding coordinator that works one-on-one with couples to make sure the day is how you envision it. From drinks to menu to decor and day of, they guide you through and make sure things are running smoothly. Huge shout out to Schuyler, who helped make our day AMAZING! Thank you, thank you! I highly recommend booking your wedding here or even just visiting this gorgeous green house/shop/cafe! -

Getting married at Terrain was the best decision we made for our wedding. It is absolutely perfect.
Every member of the staff was so incredibly nice and helpful. Our event manager Kristin made the day just so easy and stress-free all around. She was an absolute dream. It was so easy to communicate with her and keep everything organized. There were times where I had the usual bridal stress about a small thing, and when I asked Kristin about it, it was no problem to take care of at all. They are all so professional and you feel you're in great hands the entire way.
The food at Terrain was spectacular. The tasting provided so many excellent options and all of our guests loved and raved about the food to us afterwards. Terrain was so great with accommodating allergies and dietary restrictions. Nothing was ever an issue.
Our wedding was small, with about 50 guests. We had our ceremony indoors in the Hot House and the reception in the Garden Shed. Terrain also provides s'mores by the fire pit outside, which our guests loved.
We used Design by Terrain for our florals and they absolutely knocked it out of the park, with lanterns hanging overhead in our ceremony and reception space, and absolutely stunning flowers and greenery in my bouquets. Katie was so sweet and made sure everything was perfect. They did such an incredible job.
Truly, everything about Terrain was just perfect and made the day so easy. We looked at a few other venues where, while they were cheaper in terms of cost, far more work would have been involved in terms of coordinating everything, setting up the space, taking care of vendors, and more. Terrain was 1000% worth it for us, to just not have to worry about any aspect and know everything would be perfect for our day. I truly cannot recommend Terrain at Styer's enough. -

Our coordinator, Debbie was fantastic and literally over the top amazing. She ensure all events went off with out a flaw and created a stress free environment for me as the bride. The entire team at Terrain straight up killed it! From the drinks being serviced, appetizers gently offered to the dinner presentation - it was all perfect. I did not receive one construction note or criticism about our day from any guest (young or old). I would do it all again if I could... -

My husband and I had the time of our lives at Terrain! This outdoor venue with its natural beauty and elegance was so perfect for our wedding. The staff was incredible, professional, and so helpful throughout the day. The food was out of this world - every single one of my guests was RAVING about their meal! We also used Terrain for our florals and they were so easy to work with and did an outstanding job! We are so happy we chose to have our wedding here. It was beyond beautiful!! I highly recommend Terrain for any occasion! -

We knew Terrain Gardens was THE ONE as soon as we walked through the doors. It has the perfect mix of garden and rustic charm that we were looking for. The entire process was so easy and so seamless from start to finish, and the day of? Totally exceeded our expectations. The venue was breathtakingly beautiful, the staff was so kind and responsive (and honestly, kudos for dealt with our rowdy crowd!), and the food was simply delicious. Where to even start with Terrain. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. The best thing we could have done was hire their Terrain Events team. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of. A special thank you to Kristin for answering every single one of my e-mails and being so accommodating last minute when 6 guests could no longer make it and another special thank you to Katie for understanding my vision for our big day from the very beginning and executing it in the best way. I knew Terrain was the perfect place once stepping on site and it still exceeded all expectations! Best value imaginable for a wedding venue - perfect in every way: ambiance, food, and the level of attention to detail and professionalism shown by all their staff. Kristin, Sara, and Molly were amazing and helped immensely during the 6 months leading up to the wedding and the day of. My partner and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect and magical day and we are so so happy we booked Terrain. Also - the food was fantastic! Best wedding food I've tasted and the bartenders also did such a great job with our signature cocktails. The space is absolutely beautiful and perks like the Mushroom hut to get ready and go after the ceremony were so special. -

Terrain (@ Glen Mills) is the perfect wedding venue for any kind of wedding. The ceremony space is absolutely beautiful and the reception area is spacious and warm. We went with Terrain for our wedding because they made it easy. Because catering was in-house, we already had ceremony, reception, and catering pretty much taken care-of just by working with Terrain. They also have great relationships with so many vendors, which made it super easy when picking who we wanted to work with for drinks, flowers, etc. Kristin was really responsive and kept us informed and feeling good throughout the whole process. Countless guests have told us that our wedding was the best wedding they have ever attended and we had so much fun! Highly recommend working with Terrain for any special event. -

The Terrain feels like a hidden gem to me and that’s why I’m so excited to have our wedding there! They are also super accommodating! We ran into an issue that resulted in us needing to change our date and I was devastated. The Terrain was super responsive and gave us some alternate dates that we were able to decide on and ultimately ended up doing. After all was said and done I felt much better because of Kelsey and everyone else who has helped us along the way so far. They were so understanding and reassuring. -
Leah Sent on 08/26/2018Dream come true. Words cannot describe how gorgeous Terrain is and how amazing their crew is. This was the first and last venue my husband and I visited. We took a tour and booked our date immediately, that is how incredible this place is. Shout out to Sara, Deborah, and Katie! Sara was our event manager who worked with us 6 months before the big day to nail down details, vendors, answer any random questions, ease our worries, schedule tastings, and so much more. The day of, Sara was there running the show and making sure everything was in order, organized, and sticking to the timeline. Deborah was my bridal attendant the day of. She was an absolute sweetheart who made sure I was always comfortable, kept an eye on my belongings along with my maid of honor’s, made sure I didn’t pass out from the heat and was always close by with a water or a vodka or a tissue and a hug. Katie was head of Design by Terrain, our florist/designer. She is so knowledgeable, talented, organized, and just an all-around amazing person. She has wonderful ideas and has a knack for pinpointing the style you are going for. I could not imagine going with another florist with this venue. If you’re a Terrain/Anthro lover, then this is the place to be and these are the beautiful people you want to be working with leading up to/on your big day. Look no further. They delivered nothing but top-notch service at a stunning venue with excellent food. We continue to receive compliments! Highly recommend!

Amanda Sent on 02/10/2018From the first time we saw Terrain, it was very clear that this would be the wedding venue for us. From the first visit to the day after the wedding Terrain and all of its staff were a pleasure to deal with. They know how to run a well-planned wedding which feels effortless and comfortable. The aesthetic is what draws you in, but the farm-to-table food and authentically beautiful design services will make you fall in love. We selected almost all of our vendors from their recommended list--they have formed a great community around creating truly unique weddings for couples. Sara was so helpful and a joy to work with throughout the whole process. We also decided to work with Katie and Matt from Terrain Design Services for our flowers and greenery, a natural fit when they work in the location which also happens to be a working nursery, and they delivered beyond my wildest dreams. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception being in such close proximity gives the event a great flow and kept the mood up the whole night. All of our guests enjoyed the venue as much as we did the first time and every detail they provided were so appreciated. We are so excited to be able to visit the store and cafe on our anniversary.

Amanda Sent on 06/29/2014Having attended quite a few weddings together my husband and I had an idea of what we wanted for our own day. It was important to find a venue that was different and unique for our special day, and Terrain was all that AND more. Having originally booked a different wedding venue and planning for 150 guests, we ultimate downsized to a 35 person intimate wedding at Terrain...and we could not have been happier. Terrain is rustic, quaint, unique, and has infinite options when it came to photos. If you've ever visited Terrain, you probably already know this, but it is even more awesome for a special occasion. I should also note their "plan b" is the best one you find in the area, and I had no second thoughts in the event we would have to hold our ceremony indoors (who knows in April!)
Planning our special day with Christina was wonderful - she made planning easy and stress free. It was always a treat getting to meet up with her and talk details! The food at Terrain is FRESH and not 'ballroom food' or 'pick from column A & column B' - you meet with Chef Keith and plan the menu YOU want. Our tasting was amazing, and the food is all cooked to order and fresh the day of your event. You cannot beat Terrain's cuisine.
We also worked with Terrain for some of our decor (as I did some of my own DIY decor) and flowers. Matt.is.amazing. I could not have asked for a better person to work with to bring my vision to life. He was always willing to listen to my thoughts and then transform them into something magical - which is exactly what our day was.
My husband and I fell in love with Terrain from the first time we went there, and people STILL talk about how awesome our wedding was - from the venue (the Garden shed), to our outdoor ceremony, to the food, our flowers (succulents!) to the various details found throughout - our day exceeded our expectations, and I cannot recommend (or thank) Terrain enough. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts. -

If you want a casual, down to earth, yet chic venue with the most incredible staff on the planet who will make your wedding go off seamlessly, your search is done my friends. We wanted to focus food, drinks, and had a particular aesthetic for our January wedding. Terrain provides a coordinator who checks in every 1-2 mo with questionnaires and meetings to organize you, and our coordinator Courtney understood us entirely. She was both totally relaxed and also completely detail oriented, 2 perfect qualities in a coordinator. Terrain also provides a bridal attendant the day of, which I did not expect and who was so integral in making the day special and enjoyable for me and my husband. She trailed me everywhere, held my fur wrap and bouquet whenever the photographer didn't need me to have it, brought it when I went outside, offered us prosecco and soft drinks in the mushroom house, brought us cocktails throughout the night, and let us know whenever a new course arrived at our table to make sure we ate. She arranged a special private date moment for just us two right after the ceremony in the mushroom house (the house reserved for the bridal party) to taste all our appetizers and all our specialty cocktails. I didn't have to worry about a single detail.
I was completely blown away by all the staff - friendly, smart, unique individuals who were totally on top of it all night long. The bartenders impressed us and gave my little nephew kid "cocktails" all night long. It was also very obvious that Terrain also treats its vendors exceptionally well and this was very important to us - every vendor told me they loved working with Terrain.
We hired Allaire Rentals for a cute lounge in the hot house and Aaron from 13th St Cocktails to do multiple specialty cocktails and oven fired handmade pizzas. The latter was the hit of the night and I would work with him 100 times over again...
Everything was 10/10; Terrain's food was 7/10. Our families and multiple guests said hors d'oeuvres were not passed around enough, making lines for the stationary food very long. My mom loves a raw bar and she did not get to try any of the raw bar we paid $2k for because it ran out 3/4 of the way through cocktail hour. The entree food was spectacular on paper and then in practice. I recommend the braised short rib and staying away from the herb crusted cod (lacked flavor, roasted kale was a bit soggy) and mushroom risotto (zero flavor whatsoever, represented well by the bright whiteness of its color...). We did also get an extra course of squash soup for dinner and those were great. Burrata salad was tasty.
We had read a review about a winter wedding being cold and were worried, but did not experience this at all. I wore a sleeveless dress and felt appropriately warm the entire night. Our guests even all went outside to get pizza from 13th St Cocktail's pizza truck and make s'mores. -

We had our dream wedding at Terrain on 9/18/21. There is truly no place like it. We visited many venues all over the map, but Terrain was the clear winner. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the setting was perfect for our wedding of 60 guests. The day flowed so seamlessly from arrival to the Mushroom House bridal suite (which was my favorite part), to the ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, and reception. We had so many guests compliment the drinks, food, service, and everything in between. The service was top notch from the servers, bartenders, event planners, and bridal attendant. I cannot recommend Terrain enough! It truly has it all. -

My husband and I eloped and we were looking for the perfect venue to celebrate with our family. We envisioned a intimate dinner with 50 guests, great ambiance, drinks and amazing food. Terrain's Garden Shed was all of this and more. Our coordinator Kristin helped make our dream come alive! She was always available to answer any question and made sure it all went off without a hitch. Our guest's were blown away with the ambiance of the space and the menu was equally as impressive. We also had such a great experience with the bartender, Joe. He went above and beyond throughout the whole evening! Thank you, Terrain and Staff for making our wedding celebratory dinner so special! -

Terrain at Styer's was just a dream of a venue to get married in. Every single detail of our day was absolutely perfect. The staff is amazing, so personable, helpful & kind. The venue is gorgeous, and the added touches that they included for our day (around Christmas) were so lovely.
We could not say enough amazing things about the team! We worked with Kristin as our coordinator, and Kelsey from the sales team.
Our guests spent the whole night talking about how incredible the food was, in particular our favorite compliment, "this tastes nothing like 'wedding' food!". THAT was our exact goal, to find a venue that was rustic, simple & different, and that had food that actually tasted good. We succeeded!!
We are now trying to convince all of our engaged friends to get married at Terrain so we can go back! -

Kristin Sent on 01/23/2017I recently had my 100+ person wedding here, and it was fantastic! Terrain is such a unique space. I love the rustic aesthetic, and our guests were blown away by how beautiful it was. They do a lot of events here, so the staff definitely knows what they're doing! We were assigned a coordinator during planning, and they had multiple people there, day of, to make sure everything ran smoothly (including a bridal attendant just for me, which might have been my favorite part!). Because Terrain does so many events, it was sometimes hard to get in to see the space (we were out of town, so weekends were kind of our only option, and there are events most weekends), and we had to work around the event schedule for our rehearsal, so it was kind of rushed. For what you get, it is a good value - I particularly liked that the space is always decorated beautifully, so I didn't have to really worry about my own decor. Just be aware that the design team there changes the decor from time to time, so it may not be what you expect on the day of your event! I also loved working with the chef on our menu, which was 95% vegan. It was no problem for them at all, and they actually enjoyed creating the menu with us. Even non-vegans were blown away by how great everything tasted. My only criticism is that I would have appreciated a more pro-active approach during planning - especially in the last month or so when all of the last-minute details were being finalized and I had about a million questions!
