We can't say enough positive things about our experience with Sunday River Weddings. From the initial planning process all the way to the events of the wedding we felt well taken care of with this responsive, kind and prepared team. Our guests continue to rave about the quality of the food, the kindness of every staff member and the gorgeous venue. Our guests with allergies felt safe and taken care of due to the attention to detail of this team and their ability to go above and beyond for their guests. My husband and I have nothing but positive memories looking back on our wedding day and it is because of all this incredible team at Sunday River! Absolutely have your wedding here!!

From the day we toured Sunday River we felt welcome and cared for. The wedding coordinator, Katie Chambers, was incredibly helpful and very communicative throughout our beginning process. Our "day of" coordinator, Michaela, was also so incredibly helpful throughout the process. On the day of our wedding she was kind and very organized. She communicated with my Maid of Honor throughout the whole event to make sure I had everything I needed. We absolutely loved the venue. The Jordan Hotel, where us and our guests stayed, was recently renovated and looks stunning. The Jordan Terrace, where the ceremony took place, was probably my favorite spot, it was breathtaking. Sliders, where our reception took place was a perfect spot. Our guests still rave about the food and everything was set up and taken down efficiently and on time. The staff were incredibly kind. Greg at the front desk especially made us feel like family and your stay isn't complete without having a conversation with him. Overall, I am so grateful we booked this venue for our wedding and look forward to going back to visit.

The Jordan Hotel, Sunday River was the perfect venue for our Fall wedding. The outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour with the reception at Sliders worked great for our 100 guests.

We loved the location where everyone could stay on site and enjoy the amenities like the heated pool and hiking trails.

Katie and Jen were great to work with through the planning process, always very helpful and responsive. The entire staff at the Jordan were very friendly and accommodating, especially the front desk and banquet staff. We highly recommend!

The Grand Summit Hotel was a fantastic place if you're looking for an "all in one" wedding venue. Having everything onsite made everything 100x easier for us, and so many of our guests commented on how nice it was to not have to travel around, be able to run upstairs to change their shoes, see each other around the resort, etc.! We had our ceremony on the ski slope, reception in the ballroom, and after party and farewell brunch in CAMP. It was so nice to be able to have to worry about coordinating transportation and not have to rent tables/chairs/flatware/linens, like so many venues make you do now! Truly all in one. We also used Sliders at the Jordan for our welcome party which was a fantastic way to show our guests the entire resort.

Planning a weekend full of multiple events from across the country could have been a disaster for us, but Katie and Malaney were more than accommodating and supportive answering all of our questions and worked amazingly with our planner and vendors to ensure everyone had what they needed. And our day went PERFECTLY. If you're looking for a stress-free day, this is your venue.

We got married at the Jordan Hotel in July 2022 and had a great experience! Kylie and Katie were both a pleasure to work with. They were super organized and had us fill out a questionnaire that had everything planned out to the last detail. We decided to do a welcome reception for all of our guests instead of a rehearsal dinner and everyone loved it. We used the Grand Avenue restaurant/bar off of the lobby and did the Italian buffet and everything was great and being able to mingle with everyone the day before the wedding took some of the pressure off of our wedding day. Everything went so smoothly on our wedding day and Kylie was continously checking in with us throughout the weekend to make sure we were happy with everything. We received many compliments from our guests and we cannot recommend Sunday River enough! Thank you Kylie, Katie, and the entire Sunday River team!

Katie and her team at Sunday River and Jordan Hotel were a dream! We had a wedding that was displaced due to COVID-19 and recently got to celebrate in the way we originally intended. We cannot praise Katie and her team enough for how special they made us all feel on our big day! The venue, the food, the service and overall experience were top notch! We highly recommend working with the Sunday River Wedding Company to all future couples especially holding your wedding at The Jordan Hotel and Terrace! Thank you!!!

The Jordan Hotel at Sunday River was the perfect venue for us! We lucked out with the weather and foliage and had a great day. Katie Chambers was beyond helpful with the planning process and day of logistics. Our questions were always quickly answered and we never felt lost or confused during planning. Thank you!

We were married at the Jordan Hotel at Sunday River and could not be happier with our experience. First, the venue itself is incredible. Whether you get married in the spring, summer, or fall like we did, the views will not disappoint. Our coordinator Katie C. was also amazing. She worked with us through our postponement and was always very helpful and responsive. Things would not have come together without her. The staff and everything else about the place is also great. Everyone was courteous and our guests raved about the food and experience. If you can budget for it, I highly recommend doing the fireworks add-on! Our guests were blown away and it added something extra special to the evening. You won't be disappointed by going with Sunday River!

My husband and I were married on 10/19/19 at the Jordan Hotel and everything was amazing! We live three hours away so a lot of planning was done through e-mail over the past 2 years. Our coordinator, Kylie, made everything so effortless and set my bride-brain at ease on many occasions! She made sure our day went off without a hitch. The staff is so accommodating and helpful, the venue is beautiful, and the food was great! Our family and friends cannot stop talking about our wedding!

We got married at the Grand Summit Hotel ballroom at Sunday River. Our wedding was everything we wanted and more! We worked with Noah in the beginning and he was unbelievable- always quick to respond and help with anything we needed. Our day of coordinator was Alex and she was also fantastic! We worked with her in the 3 months leading up to the wedding and she was great- very responsive and helpful with planning. The weekend of our wedding she was around for whatever we needed. We had an amazing wedding weekend!

This venue is just an absolute dream! From meeting Noah to the day after the wedding, everything was perfect! The staff was amazing and we got our very own wedding coordinator Alex. She took care of everything the day of and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We got married and had our reception on North Peak. Perfect weather and perfect views. The food was incredible and we got tons of compliments on it. The serving staff was phenomenal and friendly. We had our rehearsal right at the Jordan Hotel and it was perfect too! The Chondola ride was a real treat for our guests as well. Beautiful resort!

My husband and I would highly recommend having a wedding at Sunday River, specifically the Jordan Hotel. Our hope was to have our guests come for the weekend- and we were able to do just that! The venue itself is beautiful, staff is friendly, and the pool is great, too. We worked with wedding planners for over a year planning our wedding and they were always quick to answer any questions or concerns. Unfortunately the rain came down right before our ceremony time, so the venue staff quickly moved everything indoors and everything continued smoothly! We received many guest comments about how the food was the best that they had eaten at a wedding. All in all, we were so pleased with our choice!

Can't write enough wonderful things about our experience at Sunday River! We hosted our wedding at the Jordan Hotel in July of 2017. Katie Chambers was our wedding coordinator provided by the venue and she was wonderful. Always responsive, informative, helpful and super friendly! I always had a thousand questions that she kindly answered. We were able to set up the day before our wedding and that couldn't have gone smoother! I got a lot of great compliments on the staff, from the people that checked us in, to the wait staff at our rehearsal and our wedding. They even cleaned up our whole reception site for us! We rented 2 suites for our bridal party and they were HUGE! Perfect area for the parties to get ready the day of. What I really loved was the long aisle walk down to the alter! We got a few complaints about food but you can't please everyone. We had roughly 115 guests, all of which did show. This was comfortable seating for the first floor. Any more than that would need tables upstairs. We were happy we didn't have to do that at our reception as we wouldn't have wanted to split people to the second floor. Having our grand entrance down the stairs was really one of the best parts! We were able to bring in our own desserts and decorate however we wanted. All of our guests loved that they were able to stay on the property as well. If I was going to marry my husband again, I would absolutely do it again at Sunday River! :)

Our Sunday River Wedding was a dream come true. Words cannot express my gratitude to Sunday River’s Wedding Catering Sales Manager, Emily Bourassa and Wedding Coordinator, Betsy Riley. From beginning to end our wedding was well organized, planned and a fun experience. Emily and Betsy were extremely responsive, timely and made us feel as though they had everything 100% under control.

Their love and passion for wedding planning, shows in their work by being just as excited as we were for our wedding. Emily and Betsy were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. They went above and beyond! Everything was wonderful, from beginning to end. I wish it wasn’t over!!

We had our wedding at the Grand Summit Hotel on 8/13/16 and could not have had a more perfect experience! Emily Bourassa and Heath Weatherbee made sure that we had an amazing day. Every step of the planning process was easy and organized. We had our ceremony on the covered bridge in Newry, which our guests couldn't stop remarking what a beautiful and unique site it was. The Grand Summit Hotel was perfect for our reception. All of our guests who wanted to stay for the weekend were able to be in one place, allowing us more time to spend with all of them! The on site restaurant/bar ("Camp") was the perfect after-party location, not to mention delicious complimentary brunch for all the guests staying at the hotel. The food for our reception was incredible! Filet and lobster tail at a very affordable price and cooked to perfection. Guests to this day are still telling us its the BEST food they have ever had at a wedding. Heath was our day-of coordinator and he took time weeks in advance to have detailed conversations with us so that every detail was planned for. Our rehearsal dinner was on-site as well and Heath made sure that it went off without a hitch, even moving tables inside for us when it started to rain. Overall, a perfect experience and at a great price! We would recommend Sunday River (and Heath and Emily) to any bride and groom looking for a beautiful location, great food, and a affordable price!

We had our ceremony and reception at Sunday River's Sliders Restaurant at the Jordan Hotel, and we could not have been happier! Emily Bourassa and Hilda Needham were extremely organized, responsive and helpful, and did everything they could to answer our questions and to make sure that our special day was exactly what we wanted. They have wedding planning down to a science, and truly helped to take a load off our minds by taking care of nearly everything that needed to be done. The entire staff there, from the front desk to the servers and bartenders, was exceptionally and genuinely friendly. Sunday River was an absolutely beautiful setting, and our guests kept commenting on how gorgeous and fairytale it was. We had the perfect day! Thank you Sunday River! We could not recommend you more highly!!

We would recommend a wedding at Sunday River to anyone looking to get married at an awesome location surrounded by gorgeous mountains and friendly people. Everyone we worked with, From our Wedding Sales Manager Emily, to our Wedding Coordinator Hilda, to the wait staff, to the shuttle bus drivers, to the bartenders (At all bars on the mountain!) were an absolute pleasure to be around and work with. The experience they created for us was incredible and we will be returning to Sunday River with unbelievable memories for the rest of our lives. Thank you to everyone at Sunday River, We are so happy we decided to make the trek from Boston to Maine for our wedding!

My husband and I got married at North Peak and would recommend it to anyone! Our wedding coordinator Katie was amazing and made sure the day and details went off without a hitch. Everybody was very accommodating in making sure our day was special and personal. The food was to die for, the venue was gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. Our guests raved about the wedding and we can't thank Sunday River enough for our perfect day! If you are looking for a unique mountain venue that guests will talk about, you found it!!

Our wedding at Sunday River was amazing! We had our ceremony and reception at the North Peak lodge, which was so fun and beautiful. We are big skiers, as are a lot of our friends and family, so it was perfect for us to have a slope side ceremony! Our weather was great, although a bit cold, so we were able to have our ceremony outside - I can't wait to see the photos because I'm sure they will be fantastic. We then had our reception inside the lodge, which was cozy and spacious for our 130 guests.

When we decided we wanted to be married on a mountain, we looked around at some options - Sunday River was the top choice because they actually allow you have your ceremony ON the mountain. The packages they offer are very comprehensive, and they are a well-oiled machine when it comes to coordination and service. My friends kept prepping me that it was going to be stressful the few days right before the wedding, but I didn't feel that way at all! I was so relaxed because I knew everything was being taken care of by a wonderful staff that worked well with our vendors. Granted I did a lot of organizational leg work ahead of time, but it all worked with their system perfectly. Also, the food was delicious - prepared up at the lodge, not cooked below and shuttled up. If you and your guests are up for a bit of adventure, this is a great choice for your venue!

Having a summer wedding at a ski resort is the best idea we had! The pools and hot tubs and outdoor spaces were available to us without crowds. The lodging is gorgeous, the food is delicious, the staff is so on top of things.

I really and truly cannot speak highly enough of Sunday River for my wedding. They are absolutely fantastic, and I had the wedding of my dreams. We were married at North Peak (ceremony & reception) on a very rainy day.

The service, from my first email over a year before my wedding, to our departure was phenomenal. I began working with with Emily Bourassa, who was so instrumental in showing us the venue as well as the hotel (the Grand Summit) where our guests stayed), and at the two-month countdown began working with Laura Scheidegger, one of the wedding coordinators. Both ladies were wonderful and always responsive and helpful to my questions. The day of my wedding, Laura ran that show without a hitch (at least, not one I knew of!).

Our venue was breathtaking - you're on top of a mountain! The ceremony was planned for outside, but due to rain it was indoors. I was weather-worried in the months leading up, but I wouldn't change a thing. We were basically married inside a cloud, and the ceremony felt cozy and intimate. For getting there, the guests rode in the covered gondola cars (so cool!). I loved having the ceremony and reception in the same site. The lodge, for the reception, was just what I wanted - a rustic/elegant, with tongue-and-lap siding and a stove at the front of the room and enormous windows.

The food was also amazing and delicious. The salmon was my favorite for entrees, and the mini lobster rolls as appetizers were so delicious and so "Maine." The Grand Summit was also great for the guests to stay in. So fun to have everyone in one place. The prices are unbelievably good for wedding rooms - I've paid more to stay at economy hotels. The three-bedroom suite was perfect for my family, for my bridesmaids and I to get ready, and to have family and friends in. We had our rehearsal dinner at Camp in the hotel - again, great food and great service.

I can't say enough good things and I highly recommend Sunday River. My day was perfect.

I can not say enough great things about emily bourassa and betsy giddings. They were both so amazing and helpful. I do not live near maine so it made it a little stressful to find vendors thst I could check out. They helped me with all of that and answered every little question I asked. On the day before my wedding betsy greeted my husband and I at the door with a nice welcome! She was readily available at all times and went out if her way so I did not get stressed. I am happy to review sunday river and say that I would not change a single thing about my day or my experience. So ladies thank you so very much. It would not have been the same without you both.

Sunday River was the perfect place to host our wedding ceremony and reception, my husband and I could not have been happier. Our guests are still raving about how amazing our wedding was from the Chondola rides to the Peak Lodge to the delicious food and awesome service provided by the staff. The planning process was so easy thanks to wedding coordinators Emily and Laura, their expertise ensured the entire weekend went smoothly. If you're looking to have a mountain top wedding this is definitely the place to do it, I can't recommend it enough!!

AMAZING! Planning a wedding should be as easy as it was with the staff at Sunday River. Emily was amazing and really easy to work with. She did a great job guiding and making suggestions to make my day as special as it should be! The hand off to my coordinator (the last 2 months of planning) was seamless! Erica is professional and makes sure things are done the way YOU want! They did an amazing job staying in my budget. The facilities were great and all the staff at the hotel were genuine and great to work with as well! I would HIGHLY recommend having your wedding at Sunday River!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Sunday River and their wedding reception team. I was blown away by how amazingly helpful they were throughout the entire planning process right up until it was time for our reception to be over. If you are looking for a beautiful location, amazing support, and a great value then this is your place!!

When Mr. Library and I started looking for wedding venues, we had some pretty no-budge criteria in mind: we wanted to stick to our relatively small budget (everything had to add up to under $10,000 for the whole wedding), we wanted to show off the state of Maine in the summer, we wanted a place where out of town guests could stay very close by so no one would have to drive after the reception, and we wanted personal service that would make everyone feel welcome. Sunday River Grand Summit Resort was all of it and so much more.

We visited Sunday River second on our list of venues, and as soon as we walked through their doors and met the (at the time) wedding coordinator Jessica, we knew we had found what we were looking for. Even in the midst of the chaos of peak skiing season, the hotel was calm, relaxed, and inviting. The prices were extremely reasonable too. Because Sunday River specializes in skiing, their peak months are from December to April, meaning that their prices are lower during wedding season! Their wedding packages (there are three pre-made, or you can create your own) have everything broken down to a per person cost and have tons to choose from for food. We toured everything we could possibly want to see, asked a billion questions, and after we left, found an email thanking us for our consideration. We booked their Grand Ballroom two weeks later.

During the wedding planning process, many people find it helpful to have a wedding planner or coordinator. Thanks to Sunday River, these people were already included in the package! They not only helped with the details at the reception, but the day-of coordinator Meredith was there for the rehearsal, the ceremony, and the coordination of it all. And we didn't even have the ceremony at the resort!

As the wedding got closer, we knew we had made the right decision for our venue. Every email was answered promptly, professionally, and with a little humor. As another part of the wedding package, we were able to choose a "magical moment" and a "special service" that were of our own choosing. Because our ceremony took place on a nearby covered bridge that didn't have enough parking for everyone, we had the hotel provide two hours worth of shuttle services for our guests! They rode on a beautiful trolley from the hotel to the ceremony and back again! As the bride, I also got to ride on it, and they decorated it just for us! Nothing could have felt more special! We also chose to have the hotel serve a champagne toast as our magic moment. We never had to pay for it because it was already built into the price!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by the front desk. I had never met these ladies before, but they knew exactly who I was, my name, which rooms we had arranged for for our suites, and they brought all of our wedding boxes into the ballroom for us so we could set up later. They were on top of everything! If someone was missing, they would find them. I needed water, they would get some immediately. The prices for the rooms were outstanding ($112 for a regular room with 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch) and very comfortable. We never had any issues with guests booking rooms in our block, and they made it very clear that no matter how late people booked their rooms, they would give the the discounted rate and find them some place to stay.

The food was delicious and very easy to pick. They had at least six options for us to choose from, and we had done a tasting around six months before our wedding. We had a long list of food allergies and Kosher needs, and while we couldn't get the food completely Kosher, everyone's food needs were met. They even made the kitchen pepper free for my aunt with severe allergies. They were also flexible in serving people. If someone had ordered one thing but suddenly requested another, it wasn't a problem. They had extra dishes ready to go. The servers were quick, polite, and attentive. We were very impressed.

As for the reception itself, I couldn't have asked for more. They allowed us to set up the reception the night before and they had all of the tables and chairs ready for us. The next morning, I had a few things that still needed to be taken care of, so Meredith the wedding coordinator jumped on them immediately. She even took pictures of everything and sent them to me after the wedding! She understood what kind of feel we wanted from our wedding through her survey we filled out beforehand, and her help was priceless. She came with us to the ceremony, put everyone in order, fluffed my dress before I walked, made sure the trolley brought everyone back and forth, and then went back to make sure cocktail hour went off without a hitch. She personally cut our wedding cake in the kitchen, made sure everyone was having a great time (which they did!) and that the food was delicious (which it was!), and stayed until we decided we didn't need her. For a woman with a nine month old at home to work this hard on a Saturday was unbelievable!

In the end, we were sad to leave Sunday River. We loved the people and the service so much, we would go back in a heartbeat. We cannot recommend their services enough! They made our wedding weekend easy, fun, and incredibly relaxing.

We LOVED Sunday River! From the beginning of our planning with them, the wedding planners at the hotel were attentive, funny, and super helpful. It only got better when we were handed over to the day-of coordinator, Meredith. She was organized, prompt, and calming. She was there for every little question leading up to the wedding, day-of, and the day after. The food was amazing (our guests were even raving about the vegetarian option!), the service was impeccable, and the people working throughout the hotel were fantastic. Everyone knew who we were, they were ready to help in whatever way possible, and they made everything special. Book them early!

They were there for me every moment of the way...and they remembered all of the little things I was afraid I would forget.

I highly recommend Sunday River! My husband is in the military and we worked with the staff for about 3 years to plan the wedding - they were so easy going about moving our date (3 different times) as he was deployed, had trainings, etc. Emily and Kerrie worked hard to make sure our day was perfect! They spent extra time ensuring the decorations were just the way we wanted, they helped us to organize, and were supportive throughout the process. Food was delicious and the price was reasonable! They helped us to order kegs and had beautiful gourds carved with our names in them! It was beautiful and such a nice surprise. The only down side was they put our "suite" right under the garbage bins. They offered to change it, however many of the other rooms didn't have a view. I highly recommend making sure they book one of the penthouses for you (we ended up switching with my brothers). Small inconvenience for the rest of the experience. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the venue! We also used the beautiful bridge down the street for our ceremony that was perfect for photos. Couldn't be happier!

Sunday River was the location of our reception and they did a fabulous job answering my questions, catering to unique requests, coordinating with other vendors (photographers, DJ, florists), and providing warm hospitality to our many out-of-town guests.

The food was delicious and well priced. Event-day assistance was more than I could have hoped for as Sunday River staff helped with all aspects of hall decorating and vendor coordination.

The only reason I give them 4.5 stars for quality of service is because they placed my husband and I in a hotel room next to my parents. On our honeymoon night. Who does that?? Haha!

Sunday River (at the Jordan Hotel) was an amazing host for our September wedding! Our initial point of contact and then our day-of coordinator answered a million questions for us leading up to the big day.

The hotel staff, particularly Greg, was incredibly helpful with getting us space to process our floral arrangements (we made bouquets from loose stems) the day before, and finding us storage space with AC to keep them fresh; anything else we needed (eg last minute high chairs for some kids), he and his staff did their best to accommodate.

The head caterer Jennie-Mae was also wonderful accommodating how we wanted our guests with special meals handled and made sure we (the bride and groom) were fed and watered throughout the busy evening. She also ended up organizing our people for sparklers to make sure everyone got theirs lit (and stayed safe). She also helped us find our baker, which we loved (Shelby Cakes).

Our coordinator Bryon helped with lots of little details (Sunday River has a master document that covers pretty much the whole day and keeps it all in one place), and he was able to get some signage made for us at no cost to us. He helped move things around for day of decorating (eg setting out flowers close to the event so they didn’t bake in the sun all day, turning on our fairy lights) and also ran our rehearsal the day before; plus day of, he ran the timing of “releasing” our wedding party to walk down the aisle. Leading up to the day, we do wish he’d let us know a little more often when he received an email from us but maybe couldn’t get us an answer right away, just so we knew it didn’t get lost in the shuffle; and it was also a little frustrating at times to be asked questions when answers were already included in the master document, or when answers felt like “probablies” instead of definite “yeses”.

However, at the end of the day, Bryon and Sunday River pulled everything off beautifully and smoothly, and we are really happy we had our wedding at Sunday River!!! From set up to tear down, they made our lives so easy day of so we could truly enjoy the time with our friends, family, and each other.

We used Sunday River for transportation to our nearby venue (a rental house called Ski Esta), lodging, and for a pre-wedding event for our out of town guests. Emily was our sales manager and met with us a few times far in advance to discuss our needs and to tour the different properties to find the best space for our event. We ended up booking a block of rooms at the Grand Summit and holding our welcome event in a section of Camp restaurant with a selection of dessert and coffee arranged by their catering staff. We also had the front desk hand out gift bags to all guests checking into our block. This is something they don't do anymore, you have to pay a fee to have them placed in the rooms, but since we discussed this before the change in policy, they were very reasonable and worked with us. Hilda was our day of event coordinator and worked with me to nail down our complicated shuttle schedule (we had different groups being picked up/dropped off from both Sunday river and other locations), she also helped me arrange to have a surprise groom's cake delivered for our dessert reception. Overall, the pricing was very reasonable, they were very flexible, responsive, and easy to work with, and all of our services went well (their brownies and whoopie pies in particular were a big hit). The only negative is that the hotel's website in general needs some updating. For room blocks, guests have to call the front desk and give an alphanumeric code that is not very easy to remember. It would be great if they could provide online booking in the future.

From start to finish, planning our dream skiing/snowboarding Valentine’s Day wedding with the Sunday River Team was an incredible experience. Each team member we worked with was great at what they do, kept us informed every step of the way, and were up front about costs and answering all of our unique questions/requests. The Jordan Hotel is a beautiful venue, along with being in a great location for ski in/out all weekend and especially for our unique ceremony. We wish the weather was better so that we could have enjoyed the igloo and skiing at Jordan Bowl after our ceremony, but they accommodated this inconvenience by reserving us a room at The Foggy Goggle so that our family/friends could join us for lunch! We had so much fun throughout our entire stay at The Jordan all weekend, staff at the hotel were kind and patient, very accommodating. The food was incredible, hosts/hostesses were great, and the set up and break down of the reception space was made easy!

The only thing we did try to request and was not fulfilled would be more attention paid to potential food waste and allowing us to take leftovers of the food we paid for at the reception. We also requested shot skis and they didn’t provide this. We would have loved to see more perks, like better discounts, lift tickets for the brides or comped lift tickets due to bad weather, more Boyne points from payment for the event. Otherwise, we look forward to continuing to come back to Sunday River almost every weekend in the winter for many years to come! We would absolutely recommend a wedding there!

The venue was gorgeous, staff was amazing, food delicious, and very affordable. They even took everything down after the wedding which was a nice surprise after the long night we had. The only complaint I have is that they aren’t very responsive over email/phone until it’s your wedding week. I believe this is due to lack of staffing because day of, our coordinator was awesome and so attentive! I highly recommend booking the largest 3 bedroom suite they have for your bridesmaids. Pictures don’t do this place justice. 10/10 recommended!

In short, our March wedding weekend was a win and is still being talked about by all generations in attendance. Starting from our request for an outdoor winter wedding during active season and rolling through day-of location changes due to snow conditions, the Sr. crew was on point to help make it happen.
At the time we'd requested a winter and outdoor wedding (planning starting during the 17/18 season), this was not a normal offering for the mountain but they were able and willing to make our vision a reality from the first day I pitched my crazy idea to get marred in the snow...on a Saturday...in mid-season. While we scrapped certain aspects last minute due to my reaching my limit with logistics planning, the staff was ready and willing to have made it happen with ease.
The one draw back of a winter wedding is the unpredictability of all things winter (weather/snow/illness/etc). Our day-of coordination staff was down by not 1 but 2 sets of hands on deck. SR's VP of Sales jumped into the lead to ensure all aspects of the day from room set up to guest-guiding went off smoothly. Noah jumped right in moving tables and escorting guests while VP of Event Kerri was there to hold my dress as i walked to the snow sinus infection pounding and all.

Our rehearsal dinner was held at CAMP in the Grand Summit hotel. I would give food, coordination, and service a 10.

Our reception transformed Grand Ave at the Jordan Hotel from a breakfast brunch buffet into a sleek, sophisticated gala space for our reception of 150. Bar and cocktails 10, Food 7 (some inconsistencies which is to be expected in large banquet style events when doing plated for 100+), Wait and Bar service 9. Communication between event and hotel staff 8--see additional note.

An added challenge with the change in support staff and resources out due to illness weekend of was minor hiccups or unknowns lost in translation. Our coordinator assigned to us had given her resignation due to relocating to another state just a month before our wedding and with a number of details in the finalizing stages. Couple this with doing a wedding off season when vendors are in their down time and much of the crunch planning time falls on the holidays and it can require some expectations setting and over diligence in making sure that all vendors, event staff, hotel desk, etc are on the same page and solidify the plans and order documents well in advance.

It was a gorgeous ceremony, amazing party, and truly our vision coming to life.

sunday River helped make our wedding day all I imagined it would be! And They were very excepting of my rowdy guests! ?

My husband and I are so happy we went with Sunday River for our wedding venue. From the moment we had our first visit, until our wedding day, Sunday River's staff was very helpful and was very friendly. The three bedroom suites were wonderful for our bridal party and families, and they were very affordable. The pool, hot tub, and spa were all very enjoyable. Sunday River will bend backwords to make your day as special as you are. We couldn't thank them enough!

Sunday River was a wonderful place to have a wedding. You can't get a better view than the scenery on the mountain. We had ours at the Jordan and it worked out perfectly. We worked with Laura towards the end and she was very helpful and very responsive. They are quite helpful in working with requests. I would recommend sunday river to anyone!

We haven’t even had our wedding here yet and I am beyond frustrated. Everything started going south after we signed the contract. We almost cancelled last year because we had bought a house. We were 7 months out on the time and we had to decide to either pay them an extra $5,000 to cancel because “ they wouldn’t be able to fill the spot with short notice” or postpone to next year and pay an extra $11,000 with “price changes”. They neglected to mention we would have to pay for a room to get ready in. My fiancés parents visited the place a few days ago and the entire area had construction which they failed to mention until I reached out to them and they said it “should be ready by august.” If we are paying a down payment on a house for this place we should be getting more than a “should be ready”. They don’t give you complimentary golfing day of like most places do so my fiancé called 3 months in advance to book and they were already booked up and suggested we golf at another place down the road.

The most unprofessional wedding planner. My fiance and I decided to get married at the Peak Lodge. We obviously wanted to check out the venue before we booked but had limited time since we lived 3 hours away. Still, we ended up scheduling a Saturday appointment with the wedding planner and were excited to see what Sunday River was all about. On that Saturday the wedding planner never showed up. We asked many employees about her whereabouts and when they finally located her hours later we were told she was home because she had mixed up the dates. We were told we could still go up to the Peak Lodge to see see what it looked like, however, adding to our bad luck the chondola was broken so we were able to see absolutely nothing. It was a complete waste of our Saturday, gas money, and energy. We received an email from the wedding planner the following Monday. It was filled with excuses and then wondered if we wanted to reschedule. Ha! Like we would ever get married at Sunday River after the complete disrespect we encountered. I understand people make mistakes, but this was a pretty significant one. No one wants to start their wedding off on the wrong foot. We were offered absolutely nothing for compensation and instead got an email almost begging for us to feel bad for her! Since she had soooo much on her plate this month. Also, the ski lodge was filthy. I definitely would recommend staying away from Sunday River.
