AMAZING in every respect
Christina is fantastic. She knows her stuff, is a consummate and organized PRO, and Stover Hall is a wonderful, wonderful venue. The sweeping, well kept lawn sprinkled with some nice seating areas/outdoor tables, a nice firepit ringed with Adirondacks, and those incomparable mountain views! PLUS a generously sized reception hall with space for cocktails as well as seating, and gorgeous huge windows facing those same mountains. Add in a large storage room FULL of decorations (we had to purchase very little), a number of places to sleep (in the house and cottage), and plenty of parking for the guests. And: the rain stopped and the sun came out and it was a perfect, perfect day. Our daughter and her husband could not have been happier. -

Perfect Wedding at a Perfect Venue
Amazing venue! Christina and Wes are professionals who have been doing this for a long time and have a wealth of knowledge they are happy to share. Unlike most venues that nickel and dime you for everything (we saw 1 place that wanted to charge per chair), their pricing is upfront, clear, and doesn't have any surprises with plenty included. Obviously the location is beautiful and even if it rains you still get the mountain views from inside the event space. They have an awesome set up for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in the main house with great lighting. We loved having our direct family able to sleep onsite. The event space is awesome with a separate dining area for mingling and a bar/dance area for dancing and music. I cannot recommend this venue enough. -

We were looking for a sleep in venue with outdoor ceremony and reception. There is a gorgeous view as well! It is located 5 minutes from Luray, VA, a beautiful small city.
Christina was our day of coordinator and did a great job, she was responsive and helped before and after the wedding.

Stover Hall is a great combination of a Beautiful outdoor space for a ceremony, and a lovely indoor rustic, yet classy reception venue. We highly recommend selecting this venue for your wedding AND using Christina as your coordinator. She is highly organized and in tune to your needs and desires, her venue, and the flow of the wedding and will make your weekend/day go off without a hitch. -

Words cannot describe how AMAZING the venue itself is!
Starting with the views, the house & the barn.. everything is absolutely gorgeous.
The chandeliers in the barn will leave you speechless! Christina & Wes we’re both great to work with! From the very beginning to booking the venue was such a smooth & easy process.
Christina was my day of coordinator & honestly I couldn’t have done it without her. It rained on my wedding day so we had to move everything inside the barn last minute. She knew exactly what to do & made sure I was calm & was always checking in on me to make sure I was having a great time. -

I understand in the wedding industry what you spend in money you save in time, and what you spend with your time, you save on money. Well let me tell you Stover Hall is the best in the business hands down and will save you both money and time. When I started looking at venues I wanted something with indoor and outdoor spaces, bathrooms, room for 150 people, a venue I wasn't going to get rushed out of by 10pm to prep for their next wedding, and a place I could choose my own vendors. What I got was so much more! Christina and Wes will go above and beyond to make your wedding planning the least amount of stress. First, you get the entire venue Fri-Sun. So you get to set up, and sleep on site so you don't have to worry about transportation the next day. I got my hair and makeup done right on site and still got to sleep in and have breakfast without stressing over making sure I left on time or anything like that cause it was all right there. Also there was plenty of room for my bridesmaids. My husband and his groomsmen could have stayed on site but they were right next door instead. Literally within walking distance. We did the rehearsal dinner right on site and even had some guests over that night so everyone knew where the venue was, and they were so impressed by it all. Nexy, they have a full downstairs room FILLED with every decoration a wedding has ever needed. Any trend you're seeing you don't need to spend the money on it. They have it. From table numbers, to candles, to wooden slabs and hurricane glass candle holders they have it all. Last, we used Christina as our day of coordinator. The amount of people who told me something was going to go wrong on my wedding day. But nothing went wrong. Or at least I didn't hear of anything going wrong and people are still talking about how great the wedding was. Christina was incredible the day of and leading up to it. She answered every single text, has a list of vendors she's worked with and recommends, and let me come out to the venue when I was having questions or felt like I needed to look at decorations or the set up again. Honestly you'd be stupid to go somewhere else and not spend your money here. Save yourself the stress, and headache and just go with Stover Hall. Trust me. -

5 star service!
As a local wedding videographer and fan of mountains, I LOVE filming in the Shenandoah Valley. Stover Hall is a GREAT location for weddings and will give you spectacular views for your day! The 8-acre estate is very easy to get to and is just a couple miles south of Luray, VA. The inside of the estate is GORGEOUS with plenty of room for the bride and her entourage to hang out, do hair and makeup, get dressed, and more!
The guys have a separate cottage just behind the estate, making it easy for everyone to get ready on location, and make it to the wedding on time! =) I was VERY IMPRESSED by the caliber of great vendors on hand for this wedding. The flowers were some of the best I have seen all year. The food was AMAZING. The photographer was a blast to work with! The DJ was enthusiastic and fun, leading the dance party late into the night! My point is, this venue truly wants YOU the client, to have the best possible wedding day experience you can have and they won't settle for anything less than that in any category. That leads me to the most amazing part of Stover Hall....THE OWNERS! Wes and Christina were absolutely AMAZING! In all of my years of filming weddings, I have not met a more sweet spirited couple than these two. They truly have a servants heart and went out of their way to make this day special for the couple. Wes and Christina were super friendly, professional, and hard working. Every time I saw them they had smiles on their faces and were serving in some small or big way! I saw them helping with decor, mopping floors, coordinating timelines and events, serving cake, and SO MUCH MORE!!! If you are looking for a wedding venue with 5 STARS for service, I highly recommend Stover Hall. I was super blown away by my experience there and I know you will be too! There are so many amazing things about stover hall. The barn, the main house, and the overall scenery is beautiful. Christina & her husband made us feel so welcomed and like family. You get the entire venue for the whole weekend which has so much space and rooms for everyone. Christina also has an entire basement full of decor you can use which helped us so much! We also hired Christina as our coordinator and she brought my wedding dreams to life. I can’t thank stover hall enough for an incredible wedding weekend. If I could do it over there again, I would!! -

AMAZING!! Truly a dream come true!
We got married at Stover Hall June 19th, 2021 and WOW. I truly can’t put into words how amazing this venue is along with the INCREDIBLE owners and their hospitality. From the time we pulled in until the time we left we felt so taken care of and so spoiled. Christina and Wes go above and beyond for their couples! The house, landscaping and barn are absolutely gorgeous with so much detail and hard work put into every thought of the place. We’re so sad the weekend flew by so fast as it was truly the best weekend of our life. We can’t imagine choosing anywhere else. If you’re considering Stover Hall look no further. You will not be disappointed! Can’t recommend enough! We love Stover Hall so much and already trying to find another excuse to do it all again! ;) -

Stover Hall is amazing. A hidden gem in the middle of Luray! Stover Hall is so unique for so many reasons! It is perfectly situated at the foothill of the mountains, which lends for the most picturesque back drop for your magical day! As if that wasn't enough- it is in close proximity to numerous lodging options and you can book the entire property for the entire weekend!! I can't even describe to you how amazing this is! Having the ability to enjoy time with your loved ones and not have to constantly worry about transportation helps to alleviate unnecessary stress on your special day! Christina is simply amazing and makes you feel like you are the only wedding on the books! She is kind hearted, responsive, and so much fun! The barn itself is eloquent and perfectly laid out! Stover Hall's pure beauty and perfect set up allows for a stunning wedding. You will not find another venue, or compassionate venue owner as Christina and Stover Hall!!! -

Best decision ever!
We got married Nov 9, 2019 and we couldn’t have been happier with our decision! The place is beautiful, clean and well maintained! If you’re looking for Mountain View’s- this is it! Christina is soooo easy to work with! She’s very accommodating and professional and if you hire her as your day of coordinator she will take great care of you! We absolutely loved getting married here! You get the whole place for the entire weekend instead of just 8 hours at other venues so you can clean up the day after your event instead of rushing right after it. Also, you can use the beautiful decorations in the storage room saving you lots of money! Great bang for you buck! -

More than what we could have hoped for!
Let me start by saying our day was absolutely magical! Stover Hall had everything we wanted in a venue and more. Christina (the owner) was outstanding from day one. She was timely, responsive, and beyond helpful. She worked so hard to make sure everything went well for our special day. The mountain views are incredible, the dining hall is gorgeous, and the layout of the climate controlled barn is awesome! This venue had the perfect rustic feel that we were looking for! The main house is also absolutely beautiful. It was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and for the wedding party to stay in for the whole weekend. I would 110% recommend this venue to anyone for your big day! If you are on the fence, take a tour and you will be sold! -

Stover Hall is not your average venue. It is drop dead gorgeous in every way. Being able to stay on the grounds for the weekend took loads of stress away and allowed for lots of relaxation before the wedding. While the amazing mountain background, cozy house, and stunning barn made for a perfect setting for my wedding, it was truly Christina that made my wedding dreams come true. She went above and beyond for my wedding and made me, my husband, AND my bridal party feel like family.
I received continuous praise about the venue and Christina throughout the weekend and during my wedding itself. Christina coordinated my wedding schedule, made sure the reception area looked stunning, ensured I was stress free, and made me feel like my happiness was top priority. I’m not sure what I would’ve done without her! I would recommend Stover Hall a thousand times over! -

Look no further!
Honestly, there are not enough good things to say about Stover Hall. It was the first (and only) place my now husband and I looked. We got such a good feelings from Christina, her demeanor, the wedding package, and the venue itself that we knew we could not find a better spot to get married. We had a beautiful, stress-free experience here. The pictures were spectacular (even in early March!) and it Christina’s efficiency was unreal. Highly, highly, highly recommend. -

On June 8, my husband and I got married at Stover Hall. The location is unbeatable and the entire venue is immaculate. What we loved the most was that we could spend the entire weekend at the venue. We didn’t have to worry about driving to/from. There was also plenty of space for our bridesmaids and groomsman to stay. Christy and Wes were beyond helpful and was with us every step of the way. It was a stress free weekend! I highly recommend Stover Hall as your wedding venue!!! -

Stover Hall is an absolutely stunning venue, and Christina and Wes, the owners, are equally incredible. The contract is extremely convenient -- you get to check in Friday at 11am and don't have to leave until Sunday at noon, so it's the perfect one-stop-shop for all wedding weekend festivities. A huge storeroom of decorations is included in the contract, in addition to accommodations for the couple and their guests in the main house and cottage. The barn and backyard make absolutely beautiful spots for the perfect ceremony and reception. I highly recommend this venue! -

Mom of the Bride
As the mom of the bride Stoverhall was a beautiful wedding venue. When we first came to look my daughter knew instantly this was where she wanted to be married. It has stunning views. Charming home and barn. The bonus of staying from Friday to Sunday was extraordinary. The guest house was perfect for bridal party and rehearsal dinner celebration. The cottage was also a great addition for the groom and groomsmen. The decoration room was a super bonus, that allowed us to add additional touches to a special day. Our guests loved everything about Stover Hall their compliments were constant all through the weekend. So many things made it extra special, from the pool, fire pit to the Stover Hall cornhole boards.
Stove Hall met our needs on so many levels. The lock wall was so special and touching, I can't wait to see a "little" baby lock added one day. We also loved that Stover Hall honor the military with a discount. My husband (the daddy of the bride) and I thank Christina and Wes for a wonderful experience at Stove Hall for the wedding of our daughter and now "son". We pray that others will use this beautiful location for the wedding of their dreams and a Happily Ever After. ♡ -

Stover Hall was the first & only wedding venue we actually looked at before making our decision. The owner, Christina, was absolutely incredible & so helpful. From the gorgeous views to the amount of room this venue holds, Stover Hall was perfect for my husband and I. Everything was so lovely! -

When she said yes, I said oh shoot, because now we need a wedding venue! Fast forward a few months, we began our search over a wide range of venues. Our search was expansive and we focused on several key requirements that directly drives the outcome of a wedding: 1) quality of the facility, 2) the people we would work with, and 3) what amenities were available. Stover Hall exceeded expectations in all of these key requirements (and many more) and we'll tell you why!
Walking through the historical site, we felt like we were taking a trip back in time! Stover Hall did a great job blending beautiful antiques with modern facilities. Each building and each room appears to be designed with great tastes in mind (fun fact: a lot of the furniture/decor were handmade or restored by Christina herself!). The lodging was beautiful and comfortable, and the reception area was suitable for everything we wanted to do! Perfect for photography (our photographer loved shooting at here), and with much attention paid to detail, we couldn't ask for more!
There is a certain chemistry that comes with working with the right place AND the right people. Meeting Christina (and her sweet mom!) and Wes, we immediately felt they were such kind and genuine people, who loved what they do! We clicked immediately, and our gut instincts were right. Christina and her team were exceptional and went above and beyond to ensure we had a successful wedding. She is quick with her communication (often responding in less than a day), which was really reassuring to us. She was also so flexible in giving us a wide range of freedom and honored many of our requests. On our wedding day, Christina, Wes, and team, were the first ones on site and the last to leave, working closely with all our vendors and ensuring everything was going smoothly.
The amenities that Stover Hall offered were perfect for our needs. It has everything, including tables, chairs, dinnerware, even a popcorn machine! FYI, they do not offer tablecloths but that was easily mitigated (we found good quality tableclothes for great prices online!). The bar and kitchen was clean and had all the appliances we needed (e.g. a commercial size fridge, regular fridge, kegerator, dish washer, stove and oven, etc.). Lastly, the space was perfect for our intimate (90 persons) wedding. The layout is able to accommodate groups from cozy gatherings to large "Kardashian-sized" weddings (okay maybe not Kardashian-sized weddings but it looks like it can easily accommodate at least 200 guests or more).
Aside from the beautiful venue, amazing staff, and thoughtful space and amenities, another bonus was Stover's inventory of decor from past events. We were overwhelmed by the amount of items that were donated by previous weddings, and Christina made them available for us to borrow! It allowed us to decorate our our wedding into the atmosphere we were going for. This helped tremendously with our finances/time/stress, as it helped cut down on decor expenses and DIY projects.
In conclusion Stover Hall was the perfect wedding venue for us and we were extremely happy with our decision. We are so so grateful for Christina and her team in helping make our wedding weekend a success. Christina and Wes are truly the perfect team, homegrowing this family business into what it is today. We are so proud to have our wedding hosted here and wholeheartedly recommend Stover Hall and their team! -

Our wedding day was the most beautiful day ever thanks to Christina and Wes at Stover Hall. Right from the beginning, they were so attentive and answered every question we had. The house itself is absolutely charming. It was perfect for our bridal party and it was so nice to be able to stay there for the whole weekend instead of just our wedding day. The barn was spacious and had stunning views of the mountains. Every step of the way, Christina and Wes were there to give us advice and help us plan our perfect day. My now husband and I went to tour Stover Hall and immediately fell in love with the property. We had already visited quite a few venues, but we knew as soon as we stepped foot here that this would be where our dream wedding would take place. Stover Hall provides very beautiful scenery for a wedding. The house is amazing and cozy, great for hosting a rehearsal dinner. The barn and addition can provide a rustic feel to your reception, and is able to hold a larger wedding with plenty of room for dancing! The backdrop in the dining hall area looks out to the mountains of Shenandoah National Park. We received many great comments from friends and family about choosing a lovely venue. Christina was fantastic to work with. She is willing to adapt to last minute changes, like when we had to order an event tent to keep the ceremony outdoors after a threat of rain. She was very easy to communicate with and she offered her support throughout the process. We opted to have the property for the entire weekend. Christina and her staff were there for check in, some set up, and almost all of the day of the wedding. It was fun to look over to her towards the end of the night and see her dancing the Cupid Shuffle with all your friends and family! You can tell from the way she interacts with her clients/couples that weddings and celebrations are her passion. She stays connected with her couples before AND after the wedding, almost treating it as one large extended family. My husband and I can't wait to have children and add their locks to the wall that Christina keeps at the venue. -
Elise Sent on 10/09/2017This.Venue.Rocks!!! Christina has been a gem since the day my new husband and I stepped foot on Stover Hall property and shook her hand (which quickly turned into hugs). You can tell she is very proud of her property and absolutely loves her couples. The moment you sign the paperwork you’re family! She gives you tons of advice and knows her stuff. The venue itself is unique and absolutely stunning. The idea is to have a nice, relaxing and happy WEEKEND. I absolutely loved that idea. You go and set up the wedding decorations, set up everything on Friday in the breathtaking barn, have a great spot for rehearsal dinner whether outside overlooking the mountains or grilling out. Then the big day happens! Christina and her husband Wes help with every last detail. Sunday you can even do a brunch on the property! You are there for 3 beautiful days and the wedding party/family can stay with the Bride and Groom at the beautiful plantation house (which Christina and Wes have designed and kept so beautifully) or the small honeymoon cottage.
I could not have asked for a better venue. I have gushed and will continue to gush over how amazing Stover Hall is. The Luray beauty mixed with Christina’s venue is the perfect mountain wedding getaway. -

We cannot say enough good things about our weekend at Stover Hall and the amazing service that Christina and Wes provided. From the moment I met Christina, she was gracious and professional. As our wedding coordinator, she always responded quickly and patiently to our many questions, putting our minds at ease during the planning process. As we got down to details of planning, the expertise and flare she brought to the planning were so helpful, as she knew when to advise us and when to give us leeway to make choices to make our day personal. She was flexible in planning meeting times, yet so organized and thorough in her preparations, communication and coordination with vendors.
We had the privilege of meeting Wes the weekend of the wedding. Such gracious hospitality and service, the two of them were such a great team, both behind the scenes and in the midst of the festivities.
Christina did such a beautiful job of decorating the barn and ceremony site, following our requests and specifications and adding her artistic eye to create a lovely backdrop for our celebration. Having access to her vast supply of wedding decor was a bonus! She even gracefully took on the last minute opportunity to arrange and display many of our leftover flowers in such a beautiful way!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Stover Hall. Our accomodations were immaculate, beautifully decorated, well equipped, and comfortable. We appreciated the added treats of fresh flowers and delicious cookies greeting us at the house. As we enjoyed the Grieves' hospitality, we also enjoyed the opportunity to show hospitality to the wedding party and out of town family visitors throughout the weekend. The morning of the wedding was so relaxing, enjoying the grounds and beautiful weather. We have thanked God over and over for that amazing weather! Throughout the day, Christina was where we needed her, when we needed her, never in the way, but always available. We were able to relax and enjoy the day, confident that Christina and Wes had all the details in order. They did not disappoint, and kept things running like a well oiled machine, or maybe better put, a well-choreographed dance.
Having the property for the whole weekend was HUGE in adding to the relaxation and our ability to enjoy the celebrations and time with family and friends. It was so nice be able to host our family as well as much of the bridal party for Friday and Saturday night, which allowed for plenty of time to enjoy one another's company as well as the beautiful house, cottage, pool, property and views. Saturday evening after the bride and groom headed off, we enjoyed hanging out with a few friends under the twinkle lights outside, and we again made the most of the property when we hosted a breakfast Sunday morning for our extended family. I feel like the celebration extended from the time we arrived until the time we left, spanning the entire weekend, rather than just having a celebration on the day of the ceremony.
We have heard nothing but positive comments from so many of our guests. Our pastor said that it is his favorite place to do a wedding. The bride told me that she wishes she had gotten a picture with Christina because she was such an important part of her day!
