Whitney was absolutely amazing and I could not have asked for a better wedding planner! She kept me on track during the whole planning process and met up with me and my family well in advance of the wedding to make sure she knew what our vision was for the wedding and after that initial meet up she followed up regularly with emails and phone calls to ensure my vision was coming to life the way I imagined. The week of the wedding she was on top of everything which made the week relaxing. The rehearsal the day before the wedding went smooth which made the wedding a breeze. I had no worries the day of the wedding which honestly is the best thing for a bride! 10/10 I highly recommend Southern Hospitality Wedding and Events! -

From the moment I hopped on a call with Ashley, it was a no-brainer that she was the planner for me! She was so warm and kind that I felt like I'd known her for years. Over the months that followed, she proved to be every bit as professional and dependable as she was personable: detail-oriented, expert in her craft, and genuinely fun to work with.
Through every indecisive moment and last-minute change of heart, she never once made me feel like too much. She met me with patience, perspective, and exactly the guidance I needed to make confident decisions. I truly could not have navigated this process without her team!
Our wedding day itself went perfectly, and that would not have been possible without the Southern Hospitality team. They handled everything that popped up with grace and steadiness (in the most adorable matching green dresses, no less!). The team went above and beyond by capturing behind-the-scenes clips on their phones and sending them to us afterward. Such a sweet, unexpected touch!
The thoughtfulness didn't stop there. I'd had a custom crest made for our day, and Ashley worked with my photographer Sarah to gift me an acrylic piece that they surprised me with on our bar front! Something I'll treasure forever.
With the SoHo team by your side, you get to be there — really there — for every second of your day, surrounded by the people you love, while they make sure everything else runs exactly as it should.
Nothing was overlooked. From the very first conversation, it was easy to trust Ashley and her team with every detail of our day. As mother of the bride, I helped my daughter plan and prepare for her destination wedding. But not being familiar with the location or vendors, I needed help. I've never utilized a wedding or party planner before and did not know what to expect, but Ashley and Whitney went above and beyond by any measure. I have no doubt there were tasks performed that I'm not even aware of, but of those that I did know about, all I can say is that I was very impressed. Consummate professionals, but friendly and focused on personalized attention. It was well worth the cost to have this team on board to make sure everything unfolded seamlessly to create a beautiful wedding experience. -

If you're looking for wedding planners who will allow you to truly enjoy your wedding day without worrying about a single detail, Ashley and Whitney are exactly who you need. From the very beginning of the planning process, they were incredibly detail-oriented, organized, and supportive. No question was too small, no detail was overlooked, and they consistently made us feel like every aspect of our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us.
On our wedding day, they exceeded every expectation we had. Our family, wedding party, and my husband and I had one responsibility: get ready and enjoy the day. Ashley and Whitney seamlessly managed everything else. They were ten steps ahead at every moment, anticipating needs before they arose and handling countless behind-the-scenes details that we didn't even realize were happening until after the wedding. Any challenges that came up were resolved quickly and calmly - although, thanks to their incredible planning and preparation, there were very few.
Beyond their exceptional organization and professionalism, what stood out most was their demeanor. They remained calm, positive, and collected throughout the entire day, and that energy was contagious. They created such a peaceful environment that not only did we feel completely at ease, but our families and wedding party did as well. Their calm presence allowed everyone to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
One small detail that perfectly reflects how thoughtfully they approach their work, they even coordinated their outfits to complement our wedding aesthetic, making them easy to spot whenever we needed them while blending beautifully into the day. It was just another example of the level of care they put into every aspect of their role.
Looking back, we're honestly amazed by how much they handled without us ever knowing. They made what could have been a stressful day feel effortless, and that is an incredible gift to give a couple. We cannot recommend Ashley and Whitney highly enough. They are organized, proactive, professional, compassionate, and truly exceptional at what they do. Hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding, and we are forever grateful for everything they did to make our day absolutely perfect. -

Planning a destination wedding can be incredibly stressful, but Ashley and Whitney from Southern Hospitality Weddings made the entire process feel easy, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable! Just when I thought I had thought of every detail, Ashley and Whitney would help fill in any gaps I was missing. Our shared Google Doc made it so easy to be on the same page. They made tedious work seem seamless every step of the way. As a very particular bride, it’s hard to plan everything so precisely and trust that your vision will be carried out, but they did just that, and more!
When unexpected rain forced us to make a choice about moving dinner indoors, Ashley and Whitney were calm and patient as we decided how to proceed. They laid our options out clearly and we chose to play it safe. We are beyond grateful that we did because they somehow completely transformed the indoor space beyond our wildest dreams! It was even more beautiful than any plan we had in place! Despite the weather challenges with dinner, they preserved every other event outdoors, kept everything running perfectly on the timeline, and moved quickly and efficiently while maintaining the calmest, most reassuring presence!
Ashley and Whitney were sweet, thoughtful, and professional. They made sure we always had drinks in hand, helped flawlessly with my dress transformation, and truly took care of us all day and night. Multiple friends and family members went out of their way to comment on how exceptional they were, which says everything. I cannot recommend Ashley and Whitney enough! They are true professionals who deeply care about their couples and execute weddings with grace, style, and heart!

Ashley and her team at Southern Hospitality truly think of everything. From start to finish, working with them was an absolute pleasure—and easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.
I am PARTICULAR but I trusted Ashley completely to go do what she does best, and that trust paid off in every possible way. Every detail—from décor to logistics—came together more perfectly than I could have imagined. When obstacles popped up (as they always do), Ashley handled them with total ease. She brought only the most crucial decisions to me and leaned on my people for the rest, which allowed the day to feel calm, seamless, and actually fun. We were able to relax and truly enjoy the party.
Ashley was the best partner I could have asked for. She helped guide decisions that felt overwhelming or ones I couldn’t quite make my mind up on, and she handled last-minute requests flawlessly. When my sign stand didn’t arrive on time, she immediately sourced a solution through her incredible vendor network—no stress, no panic, just handled. She also wasn’t afraid to keep it real with me and step in when needed, advocating on our behalf with other vendors and making sure we received the best possible service. That support meant everything, especially while planning most of the wedding from out of town.
What you get with Ashley is the gift of your perfect day: one where you get to be fully present, soak in every moment, and spend time with your people while she handles the rest. And as if that weren’t enough, she is also just a genuinely kind, thoughtful, and wonderful human.

I absolutely adored working with Ashley & Whitney with Southern Hospitality. They went above and beyond to make my rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding day absolutely perfect! I am an extremely Type A bride, and Ashley was the perfect Day-of Coordinator for me. She handled every detail and set up beautifully and to my exact vision! She kept me informed without overwhelming me with updates on the big day. We had several mix-ups or sticky situations that they both handle with such grace and professionalism. I absolutely adored working with them, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! They were my #1 favorite vendor to work with, and it was the best money I spent in my entire wedding budget. They provide such peace of mind, fun, execution, detail, and creativity! Ashley was the glue holding everything together on our wedding day!
Working with Ashley was truly a pleasure. Our wedding day is a day that we will treasure forever, and that is due in large part to Ashley’s efforts for 1.5 years leading up to that day. It’s always said that something always comes up during your wedding day. That is true - for us, it was two thunderstorms (and one so strong it knocked over our head table). And there is no one that I’d want besides Ashley to manage all that comes up in wedding planning. Ashley is detail-oriented and so positive to work with. The Outer Banks wedding community is small and Ashley has developed strong relationships with all of the best vendors over her years of experience, a true asset in wedding planning. She was receptive to all of our ideas and had creativity to maximize our budget to make the most out of our day. We ended up going with the “day of” package because I am someone who meticulously plans and obsesses over every detail. That being said, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to fully let go on my wedding day—but thanks to Bethany, I did. And that is nothing short of a miracle! She brought my vision to life so flawlessly that I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, which is incredible because, truthfully, I worry a lot.
From the moment the day started, Bethany had everything under control. She handled every detail with such precision and grace, ensuring everything ran smoothly while allowing us to be fully present and enjoy the moment. Knowing she was behind the scenes making everything happen gave me the peace of mind I didn’t even realize I needed.

Every time I got on a phone call with Bethany she was truly my calm. She took so much of the stress off of me and reminded me that she had everything was under control. I could call her whenever and she was there to talk anything over. I had some communication issues with one of my vendors and she took full control, even went directly up to their office for me since I’m out of town. Well worth the money!!! -

Our wedding was straight out of a dream thanks to Southern Hospitality Weddings & Events!
Ashley is the best wedding planner there is! She is so knowledgeable about the industry and knows everything inside and out from the different vendors, designs, and just about anything that comes to mind regarding wedding planning. I probably wore Ashley out with questions everyday yet she was always willing to answer them so quickly. I could be very indecisive when it came to making choices for my wedding vision since I just loved everything I saw. Ashley was amazing at presenting my options, helping me to narrow them down by asking me tougher questions to get me thinking in a head space of what I ultimately envisioned for our big day and kept in mind, my budget when presenting the different options!
Both Ashley and Bethany are so personable and the sweetest souls. I could not imagine not having them as my wedding planners. They are truly the best!
The day of my wedding, Bethany was there with me, calming my nerves before I walked down the aisle while Ashley was behind the scene, running the show with care and efficiently and calmly, seeing to it that the final details were executed as planned. They both made sure that everything was always going smoothly and that Matt and I were having the best time while ensuring we had everything we needed - (from making our dinner plates, to getting us hors d'oeuvres during our time of getting our pictures taken, and to making sure we got our cocktails first)! They treated us like royalty the whole night! They even wore matching dresses to match my theme / vibe of the wedding (THEY ARE THE BEST!)
Ashley and Bethany surprised me with a special design at our sweetheart table with the scalloped plates I liked to have had. Due to budget constraints of not being able to select the scalloped plates for all the tables, Ashley wanted to make sure that there was a special touch of the scalloped plates that I had envisioned at our wedding for just Matt and me to enjoy! Not only was that so special to have on our big day - but Ashley & Bethany bought a set of 4 of these place settings to gift Matt and me so we could continue to use them throughout our lives together - (again THEY ARE THE BEST)!
Our wedding was everything we dreamt of and more! It felt like it was straight out of a movie, all thanks to Ashley and Bethany who were there every step of the way to help design and execute all of the ideas we discussed. I could go on and write a whole book about just how special Ashley and Bethany are and the magic that they created for our special day - so if you are looking for event planners on the east coast - Ashley and Bethany at Southern Hospitality Weddings & Events are AMAZING! I’m going to truly miss working on my wedding with them, and I’m already hoping I can plan a party or event down the road so I can work with them again!
Also, I wanted to add how Ashley came to the rescue by helping with setting up and handling details for the night before / rehearsal dinner - to help reduce any stress for me for the weekend! During the rehearsal practice, the eve before the big day, everyone in my wedding party couldn’t stop complimenting on how efficient and great Ashley was at guiding us through the rehearsal for the ceremony!

I have been trying hard to find the words to explain just how much Ashley meant to us throughout the wedding planning process…But, to put it in a phrase, she is a miracle worker! I already miss talking to her! Her fun, warm-hearted, and straightforward personality put us at ease from the moment we met her. She’s incredibly talented and imaginative, and used her immense creativity to identify who we are as a couple and create a wedding that authentically reflected our personalities. Whenever I got overwhelmed or stressed, Ashley let me lean on her completely to help navigate decisions. She kept our vision and personalities front and center, and when I got lost in Pinterest boards or decision-making, she had an effortless way of bringing us back to what really mattered. On the wedding day itself, she ensured that everything went smoothly. She is an agile problem-solver, and I will never forget the sheer relief that I felt knowing Ashley and Bethany were there to handle the details, the timeline, and all of the last-minute questions. We were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment. I will also never forget jumping for joy when Ashley showed me pictures of our wedding reception for the first time. All About the Details!
We hired Ashley with Southern Hospitality almost a year and a half before our October 7, 2023 wedding. After our first consult call, we knew that Ashley was going to be perfect! Though we're both from the east coast, the military had us living on the west coast all while trying to plan an OBX wedding. Ashley made it an absolute breeze. It's apparent that all of the wedding vendors in the Outer Banks are a close-knit group, and Ashley knew just who could make our visions (though sometimes vague!) come to life. On the day of the wedding, a small storm shower was looming and due to arrive right at the ceremony time. No sweat for Ashley! We made the decision earlier in the day to chance it outside! Though we had to push back the start time a little bit, everything went off smoothly, and we were able to get married in the sand. She did an INCREDIBLE job of decorating the Sanderling pavilion with the little details- many of which were from her personal collection. We loved Ashley's 'Type A' personality and all of the checklists provided to keep us on track with planning. Most importantly, she is a very sweet, caring person, and it's apparent that she takes great pride in her work. She makes dreams come true! Thank you again, Ashley! -

We hired Ashley as our full-time wedding planner and it truly was an incredible experience. It's honestly hard to describe how special Ashley was to us throughout the entire planning process over our 1.5 year engagement and especially on our wedding day. After my first conversation with Ashley I knew she was exactly what we needed. Ashley is understanding, creative, extremely detailed, and all around one of a kind. Wow. Words cannot describe how absolutely incredible Bethany is!!!! Our wedding came together seamlessly. I booked Bethany almost a year and a half out from our wedding for day of coordination and we stayed in touch over all those months up until it was time to transfer over everything! Bethany was so incredible at answering any and every question under the sun! We are from PA so we had countless vendor, OBX, beach, and wedding questions that she knows everything about! We got married in a rental house and we were there the entire week leading up to the wedding. Bethany was even nice enough to come over earlier in the week before it got crazy to walk through the house and talk through everything!!! She ran through a perfect rehearsal practice and everyone knew exactly what they needed to do for the wedding day. My entire wedding morning I was able to relax in the bridal suite with my bridesmaids because I knew Bethany had everything under control - and I was right!!!! She set up everything perfectly just as I had dreamed of! I couldn’t have asked for a better planner, she even joined us for a dance during the reception! She is incredible and you absolutely cannot go wrong with Bethany & Southern Hospitality!! -

We hired Ashley as a full time planner for our Outer Banks wedding, Ashley was a godsend throughout the whole wedding planning process. She talked me of the ledge more than once, made sure no stone was left unturned, and quite literally made my very all over the place, hard to describe vision a reality. She's so incredibly organized, a calm presence needed during the chaos of wedding planning and basically just gets it DONE. Our day was flawless, perfect, stunning, the best day in the world because of Ashley. She handled any situation so efficiently, and even sent someone to CVS for lash glue a mere 30 mins before I was supposed to walk down the aisle.
Not only was she a huge help with our wedding, she also helped with my mother in law plan our welcome dinner for ~120 guests. She was onsite the night before and was a huge help with all of us coming from out of town. Ashley cares so much about her couples and is the best of the best!!! -

Couldn’t have done it without her!
Let me just say, if you’re on the fence about having at least a day of coordinator, I’d highly recommend dismounting that fence on the side of Southern Hospitality!
Ashley is such a gift! She was the very first wedding vendor I booked & I’m so glad she was part of our team (& now family because she’s the best). From general advice, to vendor recommendations to talking through logistics, she was thorough, informed and well versed with the local vendors in the OBX (& beyond). While the day of had been planned meticulously, we were dealt a hand of cards outside our control and got married in the middle of Hurricane Ian. A few days before the wedding, Ashley called to let me know the tent vendor wouldn’t be able to set up due to the gale force winds in the forecast. This was my sign to totally relinquish control to my vendor team with Ashley as the lead with my utmost trust and confidence. I can say wholeheartedly, it paid off tenfold.
She works with a sense of urgency while remaining calm & collected which made me feel calm despite the +40mph winds🙃 You’d never know that there was ever a different plan A from how everything turned out! I’m also very aware that I probably have no idea just how many things she fixed, saved, made a gut decision on etc and for that I am forever thankful!! -

Ashley came as a recommendation from my photographer and while I was on the fence about the day of coordination, SHE WAS THE BEST decision I made. I had some concerns about my venue's ability to execute everything and knowing, in the end, she was overseeing was such a RELIEF!
I thoroughly enjoyed chatting and working with her. We got along right away.
I emailed her everything I had booked for and like magic less than 24 hours later there was this perfectly organized plan and timeline capturing every detail. I cried in a line at Starbucks I was so relieved that someone would handle everything.
After that, the stress melted away. I was ALWAYS confident she had everything perfectly under control. And if something did go wrong on our day, I saw no signs of it! It was PERFECT! -

I knew I wanted to get married in the Outer Banks but living 5 hours away, I needed someone who understood me, saw my vision, and was all around an amazing person to get along with. I found that in Ashley. She knew how to calm me down when panic arose, she knew how to explain budgets and pricing to someone who doesn't understand that language, and she knew how to find the best vendors to put on the best weekends of our lives. Ashley not only works hard to make your vision come to life but she helps guide you in making the best decision for you as a couple. We met multiple times over our 1.5 year engagement and every time Ashley had new ideas and more things crossed off our checklists. I am a very detail-oriented person and Ashley saw that. She knew that if I wanted to make a craft as much as I wanted to help me de-stress, she encouraged me to do it. If she knew I was overwhelmed she would encourage me to drop things and put things on others' to-do lists. We decided to host a series of 3 events, including the wedding, and Ashley helped make all of those events happen. If you are getting married in the Outer Banks, I cannot recommend Ashley enough. She is what you are looking for. She made this stressful and overwhelming experience a calm and fun one. Our wedding was perfect and I give all my thanks to Ashley. She may have started by planning our wedding but the friendship that formed out of it was the best part. -

Ashley is the absolute BEST! We hired her for our day-of coordination and she truly exceeded our expectations. She was always so calm, organized and supportive throughout the entire planning process. I emailed her constant questions but she was always so responsive and helpful. When I told her I was stressed about something, she would always reassure me that ‘xyz’ was going to be fine and all would work out. She always knew the right thing to say. Planning a wedding states away (we are from Indiana) should be stressful, but Ashley helped make it stress-free! She gave great vendor recommendations and every vendor said we were “in great hands” when I told them Ashley was our day-of.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding, she came in and took control! Everything she did was flawless and her attention to detail is incredible. A lot of my guests even commented how impressed they were by Ashley! Not to mention, she’s such a great person and was so much fun to work with. She even brought my husband and I appetizers when we were taking pictures on the beach during cocktail hour - the sweetest gesture! Ashley is seriously one of a kind. I am so grateful for her passion, knowledge, eye for detail, patience and friendship. We started planning our wedding with her a little over a year before the wedding and Ashley was incredibly responsive with all of my questions - and there were a lot. She made me feel important even thought I knew she had so many weddings coming up before mine. OBX has always had a really special place in our hearts so it was the perfect place to have our wedding. I was initially stressed at the thought of planning a wedding across the country from Colorado, but Ashley made it so much easier and honestly fun. She is incredibly creative and helped with design as it was not my forte. She brought my vision to life, made sure my rentals were correct, gave incredible vendor recommendations, set up everything perfectly, and was honestly just so much fun to work with. Ashley is the expert you NEED at your wedding.
Ashley was our wedding coordinator and was absolutely phenomenal. I truly don't know how my wedding day would have gone without her because of so many different factors. We held our ceremony and reception at a beach house in OBX, and ended up having 40 more people than was originally recommended for space. Our ceremony set-up was very non-traditional and what I though was complicated logistically. On top of that, the forecast was calling for rain and storms the night of the wedding. I think I would have had a nervous breakdown trying to navigate that situation and make all the calls by myself but Ashley was calm, confident, and extremely COMPETENT while we were making our Plan A and Plan B. I trusted her judgment completely and in the end, she made the right call to have us set up everything outdoors and we ended up having a GORGEOUS night. I cannot stress how I will always be so grateful for having her at our wedding because I was fully ready to move everything indoors and we would have missed out on a wonderful outdoor event. Not to mention she put in some serious work setting up our tables and decor in high heat and humidity and everything looked stunning. The first thing anyone should do who is planning a wedding in OBX is hire Ashley. She was the best and most important decision I made during the wedding planning process apart from choosing my groom :)!! -

Booking Ashley as our wedding planner was easily the best decision I made! I found her just over a year from the event, and she was amazing each step of the way. She using google drive with folder to keep all documents organized and on schedule. I hired her in 2019, and with the changes and curve balls that 2020 brought us - she reassured and guided us each step of the way with recommendations regarding potential venue changes, date changes..etc. We had to pull a last minute venue change about 4 weeks from the wedding date and she pulled it all together flawlessly! My husband and I both have time demanding and consuming jobs, so she was huge in making this process manageable. With day of coordination and set up - perfect! She found everything and had it look better than we had envisioned together. She kept the day running smoothly and timely. My parents, in-laws, and wedding party all commented on her professionalism, effectiveness, yet easy-going personality that made us feel comfortable! Would not be able to function without Ashley!
Oh my gosh were do I even begin?! We hired Ashley a year and a half before our wedding, our date had to be pushed due to covid, and THEN we lost our venue 2 weeks prior to the wedding due to covid. ( It was right in the middle of NC numbers peaking). We originally had a 200 guest count and ended up with 39. People were dropping daily, even the week of the wedding still, and Ashely never complained once! She contacted all the vendors for us with updated guest counts so we didn't have to. She stayed so positive and professional through it all! I highly recommend getting her all inclusive package even if you don't think you need it. My parents have had a home in OBX since the 80s, and I went to school for Hospitality so we thought we knew it all but Ashley is a wizard! When things started to get crazy with covid a few weeks prior to the wedding she kept everything so perfectly in order. If you're out of town it's so crucial to hire a planner! She kept the wedding on schedule without us feeling rushed. I felt so relaxed and was able to enjoy our wedding so much thanks to her. Everyone raved about her at the wedding! I am sad we are not working together anymore now that the wedding is over but we had such an amazing experience working with her! -

Ashley is a godsend! Our wedding was one of the first to occur after this years pandemic began. We had to change venues, guest count, schedule, pretty much everything within a week of our date. I can't believe it has been almost 2 months since the wedding. Brian and I had been together 25 years before we decided to make it officially official and we knew OBX would be the perfect place but really had know idea where to start. When we reached out to our photographer Ryan who had been doing our family beach vacation photos for many years he said, "Just call Ashley" and thank god we did. We knew it would be a challenge trying to plan something from so far away and we thought starting early would be the best option. There were hiccoughs along the way as I hear every wedding has but right from the beginning we could tell we did not have to worry. Each time something came up I said, "no worries, we have Ashley" and boy was that such the truth! I could tell right from the start that Ashley knew what she was doing and would keep everything under control. She earned her weight in gold right from the start. When our first event home lost their CO and we had to change event homes, she was on it! When we drove from NY to visit the new event home and the agency had a glitch, once again, she was on it. We had a plan A for beautiful day, plan B for rain, and plan C for hurricane. Who would have thought we needed a plan D for a Pandemic! Once again, she was on it! Ashley never missed a step, she kept us grounded, and allowed us to stay calm, wait, and make rational decisions during these times. She assured us that we could decide last minute and she could pull it altogether in the end if needed and she did. Even at the last minute when Covid prevented Brians best friend from coming to officiate our wedding, once again Ashley to the rescue. She knew what was important to us even when we might not have and she made sure it happened. We wanted, simple yet elegant, but also in budget. Because of Ashley we were truly able to celebrate our 27 years with our family and close friends from the beginning of the week to the end of the week. Because of Ashley we were so relaxed to be able to be awake at 6am catching the sunrise with the horses, swimming in the pool only a few hours before, and catching the lightning storm at the end. I knew from the very beginning I wanted to hire someone to coordinate our wedding day. I wanted to ensure that neither myself, my husband, or our families had to worry about anything on the day of and let me tell you, Ashley knocked that out of the park! She does everything from full wedding planning to day of coordination and I would have trusted her with absolutely everything! Even though we only had day of coordination, she made sure to stay in touch throughout the entire wedding process. She gave recommendations for vendors and guided us whenever we had questions. A few weeks before the wedding she really narrowed in on our day and did all of the last minute organizing, vendor communications, timelines, etc. She thought of everything! On the day of, I didn't have a care in the world. Ashley's services gave me the best gift of being able to fully enjoy that day and not worry about anything else. We also planned our wedding from out of state and through Covid and she was an incredible help through it all. Several times we had to alter our plans because of reopening guidelines and each time she made us feel relaxed and comfortable with all the changes. Even on the day of the wedding when we moved our ceremony time last minute to escape some unfortunate storms, she was a rockstar and made it happen! Ashley was great! She helped us through our whole planning process, was very responsive and helped us figure out what our best options were and explored various avenues for decor (hiring vendors, vs DIY, etc). While planning the wedding from afar Ashley was very responsive to texts/emails and available for in person meetings when we came into town. Unfortunately, we had experienced some family drama leading up to the wedding and Ashley was very helpful with diffusing awkward situations and was always looking out for our best interest! We were able to drop our decor off the night before and when we walked into the venue the next day everything was perfectly set up and arranged as we envisioned! Ashley had some complimentary signage and props we were able to use for our decor, which was much appreciated! Ashley was a huge help on our wedding day, from making sure we ate, to making sure the dogs had water/treats, to helping safety pin my dress when the bussell wouldn't hold. Our day was perfect and ran so smoothly, credit is due to Ashley for her preparation and coordination during the rehearsal and wedding. It was such a good feeling to not have to stress about the details of the day knowing that Ashley had it under control! -

When we started the wedding process, we quickly found out that many venues on the outer banks require you to at least have a "day of" planner. We quickly booked with Ashley after reading some great reviews. I still thought to myself, why do we need a planner? What exactly are we paying for? Can't my mom just do this?! Now a month after the wedding and I COULD NOT imagine our day without Ashley's help. We went with a custom package that allowed for us to coordinate with each other about 10 weeks out. Ashley LISTENS to exactly what you want and what your vision is for your big day and ensures that it all plays out how you want it. As a bride, you go through the planning process excited but also somewhat nervous as to how its all going to look, come together, etc...we pulled up to the venue and any worry that I had was gone and I was just shocked at how amazing everything looked. Not only how it looked but how seamless the ceremony and reception went. Her number one priority was that my husband and I were focused on enjoying every moment together and she did just that. I just can't say enough about her except that you NEED her for your big day. We love Ashley! -

My husband and I were married on 5.22.19 at the Sound to Sea Beach Club and hired Ashley as our day of coordinator and words cannot express how appreciative we are of Ashley and her assistant! Of the vendors we hired for our day, Id hire Ashley over and over. She didnt bat an eyelash when we told her we were having a Wednesday wedding and she was more than willing to help! Being from Pittsburgh and having to transport all of our decor and such, I was really nervous about how everything was going to get accomplished but Ashley handled it all with ease! She decorated our reception perfectly, managed the other vendors and the guests as they arrived, handled any mishaps so that I didnt have to, and even helped break down the decor at the end of the night. I didnt have to stress over anything that day, I was able to sit back and get ready and soak in every moment. PLUS, she loves dogs- FYI for you doggy parents wanting your fur babies as part of your ceremony like we did! I can honestly say that I was on the fence about having a wedding planner. I am from Ohio and figured I could likely take care of everything on the own, after all I consider myself to be a rather organized person. I can honestly say I would have been a complete nervous wreck without Ashley!!!
I did a lot of planning on my own but Ashley was there every step of the way to answer questions and help me choose the best vendors for what I was looking for. The week of the wedding I was told that the eucalyptus I had ordered months ago had not shipped. I was an absolute mess. She showed immediate interest in our Pinterest Boards and helped guide us with vendor options, as well as local pricing and what was within the appropriate range and what could probably be negotiated (I negotiate for a living but had no clue what is appropriate pricing ranges on the OBX). Having Ashley there on our wedding day was amazing. My husband and I were able to be fully present, and my Mom and sister (MOH) were too! She managed every detail, as well as gave our tips to vendors and coordinated everything along with Miha from the Pier house Events Team. Ashley made sure everything happened on-time and was GREAT at keeping us on track for vendor payments before the big day. She created a to-the-minute timeline of the day, which allowed us to be fully present in every moment, because we knew Ashley was managing our time as we all decided on before the event. She is an expert on all things wedding, details, planning and the OBX in general and we highly recommend her services! She seems like a friend to me now and I fully enjoy following her on Instagram!
