I don't even know where to begin. Tanya was amazing. Above and beyond what we could have imagined. She was responsive, kind, sweet and sometimes direct and to the point when needed. We had an out of state wedding and knew we needed someone else to take the reigns for us. She suggested amazing vendors and and made sure everything was picture perfect for us. Making Dreams Come True

Southern Charm Events guided us through every step of our destination wedding weekend start to finish which included venue choices, vendor contracts, rsvp lists, and detailed family timelines. Our wedding day was so beautiful and joyous because of Southern Charm Events. Would recommend this group to any couple thinking of a wedding in the Jacksonville area and nearby islands. Truly special.

I wish we could get married every weekend just to work with Southern Charm Events again!!

Easy, stress-free, smooth, FUN! These are all words that immediately come to my mind when I think of Tanya and her team.

Tanya was our “day of coordinator” but she was truly there for us from the moment we signed the contract (over 1 year!) From the planning checklist, to the budget tracker, to all the other planning resources they provide, Southern Charm Events is WORTH EVERY PENNY! Not to mention everything they do on your actual wedding day. From set up, to keeping you on track with your timeline, to wedding crisis control, they are the total package.

If you asked me, I would say that our day went smooth, perfect, without a hitch and not one thing went wrong. However, on our wedding day there was a small hiccup with one of our table cloths and an ant pile. Tanya and her team handled it so quickly, with such professionalism that I didn’t even know about it until 3 weeks after the wedding! Talk about wedding superheroes!

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better team than Tanya and Haley, and we feel so lucky that we got to spend the best day of our lives with them.

Tanya, and the entire team at Southern Charm, were absolutely amazing throughout the whole wedding process, from planning all the way until the end of the wedding night! We booked Southern Charm about one year out from our wedding date and from the get go, Tanya and her team were thoughtful, organized, and incredibly responsive. Tanya provided us with recommendations for all of our vendors and made the whole process much more simple. When it came to the day of the wedding, Tanya and her team had everything covered. We were able to relax and focus on each other, which is exactly what we wanted. Hiring Tanya was easily the best decision we made when it came to our wedding planning!

Highly Recommend!! Tanya & Team are amazing.

Hiring Tanya & Southern Charm was the best decision we could have made. We chose the "Day Of" package, but that is misleading because you have access to so many resources from day one. Between the customized wedding website, checklists, vendor resources, and the ability to send over individual questions either through email or phone calls our planning process was actually really fun! I am sad its over. Both myself and husband had so much fun the day of our wedding. Not one thing went wrong, and we didn't have to make any decisions. Tanya & team already knew exactly what we wanted which allowed us to fully enjoy the day. I think that is what hiring a planner is all about. If I could leave 100 stars I would.

Amazing Support Team!

Jess and Tanya with Southern Charm Events were wonderful and helped us plan an amazing wedding! We had to postpone due to the Pandemic, and they were there every step of the way to put our minds at ease and work with our other vendors to help secure a new date. They had great local suggestions for other less common vendors that you think of last minute (ice, linens, etc.) and have great relationships with a lot of the key players in Jacksonville. Jess handled everything day of and thought through every scenario for us, making sure things moved smoothly. She was professional, kind and supportive and a blessing to have at our wedding!

Wedding Club Continental 12/10/2021

I hired Southern Charm Events about 60 days out from the date of my daughter's wedding. I really thought I had a handle on things and as the wedding date kept approaching, my daughter and I knew I needed some help. Tanya is amazing to work with and I can't give her and Jess enough praise for the day of the wedding. From making sure everything was going smoothly through emails and texts and the rehearsal. Tanya made herself available whenever I needed any questions asked or any changes made. Communication with Tanya was very easy and she knows her craft. Jess was phenomenal on the wedding day. I can without a doubt say that Jess made everything seem so effortless. She was a Rockstar the whole night. My daughter's day was so perfect and that is all I ever wanted for her. I would recommend Southern Charm events 100 times over.

We can’t say enough about Southern Charm Events! We had the best experience working with Tanya and her team. It was interesting to plan a Wedding in the middle of a pandemic, but our vendors made everything so easy and fun! Jess Kress was our day of coordinator and she was phenomenal onsite. I’m in the event industry as well and was worried that I would be in “work mode” on the big day. Jess made me feel so relaxed and took care of every detail. Exceptional Wedding Planning

Planning a wedding is very stressful, but imagine throwing a Pandemic into the mix and trying to coordinate everything with all of your guests, wedding venue cancelling on you, and difficult vendors... you need great help to navigate you and support you and that is exactly what I found with Southern Charm and more! Even before the Pandemic, Southern Charm was able to offer suggestions on every area of my wedding planning from vendor recommendations to hotels! Truly a one stop shop for planning and I could not recommend Tanya enough!

Steampunk wedding at the Zoo

My experience with Southern Charm Events, Tanya, Ashley and Andie were nothing but on top of their game. I had quite the unique wedding with a theme of Steampunk and then with the limitations of a wedding hot spot the Jacksonville Zoo. Having our wedding at the zoo on 3.14.20 means we literally have like an hour to set up before guest arrive. But with the savvy astuteness and quick draw mcgraw to react to any situation, Ashley pulled it off and not only I appreciated all her work, but more so did my Groom. He said having her there, the help from Andie through rentals and even Tanya in the background all made our day completely stress free and more so magical. TOP NOTCH!!

Best wedding planner

Southern Charm Events made our day absolutely perfect!! Tanya and her team could not have been more helpful and responsive during the entire wedding planning process. If she was unavailable to respond to a question, one of her team members got back to us right away. They use an amazing program called Aisle Planner, which helps you stay organized and on top of everything you can possibly need for your wedding day. Tanya's cheerful and energetic personality makes you feel at ease, as you know she is going to take good care of you. She sent us a detailed timeline with every single event that was taking place during our wedding weekend. We are from Chicago, so finding a planner for a destination wedding can be stressful, as you don't have the opportunity to get references from family or friends. However, my stress was never high, as once I met Tanya in person, I knew I could trust her to get the job done! We could not be more satisfied or happy with our wedding planner choice!!!

The Elite Event Planner

We started out planning our daughter’s wedding on our own, but it became clear we needed assistance. It had been over 30 years since we planned a wedding and we wanted to get this right for our only child, so on a friend’s recommendation, we hired Southern Charm Events. I wish we had done it sooner!

Tanya Hendricks and her staff were professional, attentive and had some great ideas for things we never would have thought of. When we had some difficulty finding just the right vendors, her recommendations were spot on for the vision we had for the wedding. From florist, to DJ to videographer we couldn’t have been happier with her recommendations.

When it came time for the wedding and reception, we wanted to be able to enjoy the event we had spent so much time and money planning and not have to deal with all the details the day of. Tanya and her staff handled absolutely everything. We had a couple unexpected and unpleasant issues that came up, that believe me, a parent of a bride doesn’t want to have to deal with, and Tanya and her staff handled everything with the utmost professionalism. She handled it way better than we ever would have.

You’d be foolish not to hire this team. A very reasonable price to pay for peace of mind and excellent service and attention to detail for your event. Some of the best money we spent on this wedding was hiring Southern Charm! They delivered everything they promised and more and worked very well with all our vendors! Hire Southern Charm Events!

Rentals and Day of Coordinating

Southern Charm provided some of the rentals for our wedding day as well as our day of coordinator. They were such a pleasure to work with. All of the ladies I worked with were super organized, professional, and responsive. The quality of the rentals provided were in great condition and provided all of the beautiful touches we wanted for our day. And Julie, our day of coordinator was wonderful to work with. I was the bride who had 10,000 things going on, and she was always there to gently get me back on track to all the things that were outstanding. She made sure everything got setup the way we wanted and kept us on track throughout the night. I am so appreciative of their services and recommend them!

Tanya and the Southern Charm staff were simply the BEST. From my first consultation I knew they were going to be the perfect wedding planning staff for me. Tanya made me feel such at ease from the moment I walked into her door. She answered all of my questions and made my entire planning process not seem so overwhelming. She gave wonderful suggestions of vendors, ideas for decor, and overall just helped me every step of the way... and did I mention their rental inventory?! AMAZING products and the best quality! I was able to relax and soak in every minute of my wedding day because I knew everything was taken care of and in great hands. I chose the day-of coordination package, but they really were by my side throughout the entire process and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company! I'm a convert - Amazing team!

I was a Mom who thought I could coordinate everything myself and save some money but my husband convinced me I needed some help. I quizzed Tanya on why I needed her and she responded in her gracious manner about what she and her staff would do to help us through the process. Honestly, I must admit I still wasn't convinced but I gave in. Today I will tell you it was the best decision we made. Southern Charm provided us with an online planning tool that was exactly what we needed to keep track of addresses and all that goes with planning a wedding.
They sent reminders for specific target dates which kept us on track. Tanya put in more hours on the day of the wedding than any other vendor and kept everyone on track. She and her staff are amazing to work with. They provided suggestions, came with an emergency kit that proved to be very useful. and had a plan B in place if needed. I can't praise Tanya enough. I don't know what we would have done without her and her team. It is obvious that Tanya loves what she does.
Another plus is that Tanya has a huge rental inventory. I can't imagine anyone wanting something she doesn't have. She also has a great network of vendors that she can recommend. I used several that she recommended and was very happy.

Best planner on the planet!

Tanya was so amazing! My wife and I live in Augusta Georgia, planning for a Jacksonville wedding, so planning would’ve been extremely difficult as we only go down once a month. I can’t even imagine the chaos that would’ve ensured without Tanya and her business. She made herself available, her communication is top notch, and she kept us in line in terms of deadlines with reminders and frequent meetings. Her associate Heather was great as well, she helped us out so much in the day of while Tanya was running around handling set up and what not! Anyone who is questioning whether or not you need a wedding planner, let me tell you that it makes the process so much smoother and you will be so happy you did it. And if you need a wedding planner, look no further then Tanya and Southern Charm. By far the best planner in Jax, and arguably, the planet.

Tanya was our All Star Quarter Back!

Tanya was absolutely amazing. We had a fairly large wedding of 150 people that my mother thought she was going to be able to plan and coordinate all by herself. My husband and I knew all along that would be a disaster and we wouldn't get a wedding that reflected us if we would even got one all at. So as soon as he proposed we were on the hunt for a wedding planner.
I somehow stumbled upon Southern Charm on google and honestly the name is what drew me in. I wanted a simply southern, slightly rustic, wedding and it sounded like Tanya knew the true meaning of southern. It turned out to be our best decision! Tanya and her team are so talented and experienced that she quickly became our Quarter Back. She would give us options of some of the best vendors she knew and were in our price range and set meeting up with them so we could pick from those few. Through this we came up with an all star team of vendors! Every one of them was a pleasure to work with.
One of the best things was going to an expo with her. She would send us to certain vendors' booths and we could ask her how we felt about any that we saw and she knew pretty much all of them. We found half of our vendors that day.
In the months leading up the online planning assistant Southern Charm, Aisle Planner, provides was a huge help. It gave me one simple place to look at everything, even on the go. The interface is fairly easy and you will use it long past the wedding as an address book.
On the wedding day Tanya really shined. We had drama with the rain threating but she managed to get us a tent last minute and it may have even turned out better with it. With the team of vendors she curated there really wasn't much to worry about so I was pretty relaxed on the day of. I knew she would handle what needed to be done. I got to enjoy my day and soak every bit of it in. We were ahead of schedule all day long.
She also had Heather Canada with her and she was amazing as well. She made sure I had everything I needed at the reception from making sure I got some of my cocktail hour food, to finding my change of shoes, to making sure I had wine for my champagne toasts. She made it very easy to just focus on my husband and everyone that came to see us.
I could go on all day long about what a wonderful experience I had with Southern Charm but I still can't put in to words what it was like to have this woman in our corner. She's honest, experienced, and just a little bit scary with how good she is. She genuinely cared about us and wanted to see us happy on our special day. Not to mention, she's big dog friendly, which was a must for us because our 80lb pitbull was our Dog of Honor.
We needed Tanya in our lives for this wedding and so do you. She will make sure you get the wedding you've been dreaming of, even if you're not totally sure what that is yet.

Amazing Planner and Amazing Rentals!

Tanya and the Southern Charm Events team were a dream to work with. I hired them for both wedding planning and event rentals. The last days leading up to the wedding I had so many people telling me I looked so calm considering I was getting married soon... and that's because I was calm, and not worried about a thing! I actually got to enjoy my wedding because I knew everything was handled with care and excellence.
Our wedding day was everything we envisioned and more. My husband says he felt like we were in a movie. :) That is all thanks to Tanya! We couldn't be happier.

I had a friend tell me to hire a day of wedding planner so that I could spend the time with my daughter on her big day. I'm so glad I hired Tanya and her crew. I loved the online programs Tanya uses to help keep things organized and to make sure we are all on the same page I am a very organized person and this was right up my alley. I was so thankful to have Tanya on the day of my daughter's wedding. She was very professional and took care of flaws made by other vendors. Her keen eye helped us fine tune some small details that made a huge impact on the final look of the wedding. I would definitely recommend Tanya to be a part of your planning details!

Tanya has now done three weddings for me family, and all of them were fantastic! My sisters' did the partial planning, where they have Southern Charm help out about a few weeks' prior to the wedding. I did the full planning services, and I highly recommend it. Tanya is so knowledgeable of the industry, and she knows so many of the vendors in Jacksonville - many of my vendors were relieved to hear I was working with her! Tanya is very responsive, and if she's busy, she has other people on her team that can quickly help you out. My research time was minimal with finding vendors, as she already knows the best to work with. Tanya put together a budget for us, recommended countless vendors (all of whom were amazing), was able to help us get a few cheaper rates on some vendors, and she put together a wedding timeline to the minute. It is such a relief to have Tanya and her team take care of everything that day, so that I can truly enjoy the day with my husband, and dance the night away with my guests. Tanya and her team are absolutely worth the investment!

Tanya and her staff were nothing short of amazing! Tanya and Paige were very quick to respond in all communication leading up to the wedding and were taking care of so many things behind the scenes that when it came to my wedding week, I did not have a thing to do! The service they provide for the cost is invaluable. I also rented a lot of décor items through their rental service and everything was beautiful and in great condition. I loved the entire experience of working with Tanya and Leah at SCE! I just needed day of coordinating and they were wonderful from the first time we video called to when we met in person. I'm not super fussy about much which sometimes can make things a little more difficult to get me to commit to something but Leah and Tanya were very understanding and helpful when I needed it most. It was so easy to have them for planning services and then have them provide the decor! They were the best money we spent for the entire wedding. If you think even for a second you might need a coordinator, call them!

Tanya and her staff are phenomenal and made my day so perfect! We were recommended to Tanya by my husbands best friend. When talking about booking a wedding planner we were not completely sold so decided to see her in action. After seeing Tanya in action at another wedding my mind was made up and we booked her. Tanya was quick to respond with any question. I work nightshift so most of my emails were sent after hours and I can not count how many times I would receive a response late at night or early in the morning. Her team were also quick to respond as well. Towards the end of my wedding planning we experienced issues with the venue. Tanya was quick to help solve these problems and then some. When I was debating on changing the venue two days before the big event Tanya had a backup plan ready to go if needed. I believe the back up plan was established within 1 hour of me deciding it may be a possibility. Considering things book years in advance this alone shows Tanya's abilities in my opinion. The day of the event went as smooth as can be. I did not know any problems during the event. Tanya kept everyone on time and it was completely perfect and I promise it would not have been without her! We also did rentals and florals through Tanya and her team. My guests all said that this was the best wedding they had ever been to and it looked like so much work went into it. Everything was gorgeous and everyone wanted to know every detail! I would go through Tanya for everything she offered! She was just that amazing.

I cannot say enough about how amazing my wedding was and it was all due to Mrs. Tanya. She was wonderful during the entire process. Anytime I had a question or issue, she was there to make sure it was taken care of. During our meeting, I told her that my one request was that myself, my mother and my mother in law would not be bothered with any issues the day of the wedding. She stated no problem and boy was she right. She thinks on her feet and can make anything work. Also, they have AMAZING rentals and very reasonable pricing. You are in good hands with Southern Charm!!!

This space isn't big enough for me to write how I feel about Tanya and Southern Charm Events! My wedding would not have been possible without her! From decor to planning, she made the wedding of my dreams come true! Tanya is so easy to work with. I didnt have family living near by who could help me with all of the planning and Tanya truly became family to me. She listened when I was stressed out, she responded in an extremely timely manner to my thousand emails, and she got the vision of what I wanted my wedding to be, right from the start! I had absolutely no worries the day of my wedding because I knew Tanya and her team were going to take care of everything. Overall, Southern Charm Events was everything I could have ever asked for as wedding planners and a rental company. They kept my vision in mind the whole time and made sure things went according to what we planned as much as possible. It rained on my wedding day and though I insisted on being outside for the ceremony, my wedding planner Lorianne, made sure it happened regardless of what everyone else wanted and stuck to what I wanted most! It made for beautiful memories! I hope that anyone getting married uses them! A wedding planner didn't seem necessary at first but they proved to me that I was way wrong! When I think about Tanya and her girls, I want to cry happy grateful tears. My wedding would have been nothing without them.

I walked into Tanya's office with zero vision. I had a venue and a dress, and no idea about colors or themes or anything. She helped pull my dream wedding out of me, I can not thank her enough for the time and patience she had for me. Between countless e-mails, phone calls, mind changes and tears she was there to help with anything I needed.

The day of Ashley and Lorianne were my coordinators. They put together EVERYTHING. They checked in with me throughout my night and left me to just enjoy my wedding. I was carefree the entire time. If anything went wrong during the day, I still have no knowledge of it.

Aside from their talent with wedding planning, they do rentals as well. Most of our décor for the day of came from them.

Seriously, I do not have the words to describe my love for Southern Charm. My wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without them.

The ladies at southern charm were beyond amazing the day of our wedding! We hired them to help us coordinate our wedding the day but as time went on we realized we need help finishing up the planning and we are so glad we hires them. The girls went above and beyond! I know our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did without them. They have amazing rentals as well so if you love vintage things...this is the place to go for your rentals!! Tayna and Lorriane at Southern Charm Events with the help of Tayna's amazing husband made our wedding day beyond beautiful and goregous! Tanya Hendricks was my wedding planner at Southern Charm Events. I had interviewed several other wedding planners and found them to be very "stiff" and too professional. I know you're thinking "how can a business person be too professional", but when I met Tanya she was lively and fun. We connected immediately. She had so many ideas she was willing to share even before she knew I would hire her. Tanya went way above and beyond what I had hired her to do. I had hired her for just the rehearsal evening and the day of the wedding due to my budget restrictions. She helped me with invitations and many of the printing obstacles I ran into doing my DIY wedding. She even offered various items for my decorating use. Although all that was wonderful, she was amazing during the rehearsal and day of the wedding. She was organized and in control, making sure everything was done and running on time. I felt very comfortable to just relax and enjoy my special day because she also watched over me, making sure I was eating and not stressed about anything. Tanya did so much more than I ever expected out of a wedding planner. She loves what she does and she makes her brides feel special and well taken care of. I highly recommend Tanya and Southern Charm Events.

I am SOOOOOO glad we choose Tanya and her team to be our wedding planners! They were extremely helpful with the planning process and making sure we had the best vendors across the board. Tanya and her team were top notch! When I first met Tanya I had already been dissappointed by a few other wedding planners who declined to do my wedding. Tanya was recommended to me and she came in and got the ball rolling immediately! She took my elaborate ideas for my wedding and ran with them! I was beyond pleased with her from day 1 to day of! I even had a caterer crisis and Tanya helped me find the perfect caterer a month before the wedding. She has a great selection of inventory that can be used to decorate your event and she is just one of the sweetest women you will ever meet! It was such a pleasure working with her as she helped make the planning process so easy especially since I was a bride who was touring the country while planning her wedding. Crazy right? But we pulled it off and guests are still raving about how well done and unique it was!!!

Tanya and Jessica were wonderful. My daughters wedding was perfect they added so many extra touches that we not even considered. They handled every small detail. The best money I ever spent. I was able to fully enjoy the day of my daughters wedding knowing that everything was Perfect. Their staff was professional and hard working. Our planning meetings would turn into friendly tea parties. They listened to my daughter and took time to get to know the couple and was able to bring couples vision and personality to their special day. Tanya and her staff were nothing less than EXCELLENT. She provided whatever was needed, and catered to the bride, groom and the families. She was prepared with what we needed, and worked with anything we may not have known or remembered to do. Before the wedding, she contacted all of the vendors and officiant to make sure that everything was ready for the big day. She did a walk through of the venue three days before to make sure we all were on the same page with how the day would proceed. On the day...she had nothing but the bride and groom in mind. She told me before the wedding that she would make sure "we had no stress and nothing to worry about, she would take care of it." That was the absolute truth. We had a few, minor glitches on the day, but she was on top of things and took care of everything and made sure that I, the bride, was not panicked. And, my hook and eye snapped off of my dress, and she was prepared with a needle and thread to sew me back together...we have pictures of the surgery. I would recommend Tanya and her staff to any bride who needs a wedding planner. The attention to detail, to the needs of the bride and groom, and the fact that she is there for you is all about Southern Charm. She even added extra decor for us, and Kenny added lights that he hated to do...but did because I asked. He got a hug for that one. Charming....absolutely! I consider her a friend, and I almost felt sad that I would not see her...we need to do lunch. Best thing is, the officiant forgot to get the MOH and BM to sign the marriage license to make it official...Tanya got in her car that Monday, drove to the officiant's office which was a little bit of a drive, got the license, and her and her husband signed for us (since they were there and witnessed) just so we were legal. Talk about going ABOVE AND BEYOND! Thank you Tanya, for everything. The memories will last a lifetime...or, until I get really mad at my hubby and kill him for his life insurance! ;-)

I don't even know where to begin with how amazing Southern Charms Events is. I got engaged in May of 2011 and my mom and I dove right into wedding planning ourselves. After becoming extrememly overwhelmed and unlucky with finding a wedding venue we turned to the internet and some friends for reccommendations; and that is where we found Tanya with Southern Charms Events. We set up a meeting and from the second we walked in the door and gave her my ideas she started spitting out everything we needed to hear and pretty much had my entire wedding planned exactly as I had envisioned. Deciding to hire a wedding planner was an easy decission once we met Tanya. The bride and Tanya clicked right from the beginning and continued a great relationship throughout the whole process. Tanya was there everytime we needed her, assisting in picking out flowers, rental items, a venue, etc. Tanya has a great team that took everything by the reins when the weather got bad for an outside wedding and moved the whole set up inside. You could not even tell that the wedding was not supposed to be at a different location.

Tanya gave us many options for chosing our venue (Wyndham Riverwalk), photographer (Christy Whitehead Photography), florist (Blossoms & Accents, Inc), rental company (Beachview), bakery (Metro Cakes), DJ (Footloose Entertainment), and Carriage Rental (Pinto Carriage Works). She went out of her way to make sure we had appointments to visit different venues to fit our schedules.

I can not say enough about Southern Charm Weddings & Events other than they are the ones to chose.

I live in Naples, Fl and my daughter Kathleen who was the bride and the groom live in Tampa. My daughter found Tanya/Southern Charm from a Bridal Show. We had the wedding at The Club Continental. Tanya was more of a wedding coordinator for us and I wish I would have used her for the whole wedding. She went way beyond what I ever could have imagined she would do. She coordinated the rehearsal and wedding, helped me find vendors, the pastor, made a very detailed schedule of what the wedding party, and guests should do before and at the wedding. My daughter and I had the decorations planned for each table (with a picture of how they should be set up on each box) since we were having to travel with them to Jax. Tanya brought a huge team of people to set up the tables including a decorator so that I wouldn't have to. You only have 2 hours to set things up at the Club, so it was so nice to be able to get ready without being rushed. The tables were beautiful!! Everything was perfectly organized and on time and I'm so grateful for how hard Tanya and her team worked for us. She was the best value out of everything we spent on the wedding and I would highly recommend her company for your wedding!!

Tanya and her staff are WONDERFUL! We planned our wedding in 7 months and literally could not have done it without her. Her recommendations for vendors were excellent and saved us a lot of time. I hired Tanya as the day-of-coordinator. She was very responsive during the six months leading up to the wedding. Any questions I had she answered promptly. She made us work out details that we would have otherwise forgotten. She was very helpful in assisting with developing a timeline for the big day. Despite many last minute changes, she kept everything in order. The wedding day was everything I had hoped for. Everything ran smoothly and timely. I did not feel rushed. We had plenty of time for pictures (which was the most important thing to me) and dinner. I was very happy with Tanya and her staff.

Tanya with SCE was absolutely amazing! Every last detail to my daughter's wedding was seen to and I was able to truly enjoy the rehearsal and the day of the wedding with my daughter, knowing that everything was taken care of. I could NOT have done it without her! The whole SCE team was amazing! I would reccomend them to anyone that's looking for a wedding planner or coordinator that really cares about her brides & can take care of everything from beginning to end... down to the very last minute of the event! I found Southern Charm by chance through Facebook one day. That was one of the luckiest days of my life. Working with Tanya was a breeze. She is so responsive and detailed. She referred me to the best vendors all of whom were reasonably priced including her services. When I met with my vendors, they were all glad to be working with her. If not for her, I would of forgotten about dozens of important details. On my wedding day, I didn't have to do much but get myself to the venue on time. Everything ran smoothly because Tanya and her team were there. She made sure that my wedding day was stress free for me. Her team checked up on the groom and I frequently to make sure we had drinks/food which I didn't expect. Tanya is my MOB defiant, bubbles snatching, speed sewing, loss and hazard preventing wedding planner. =)She is among the best in the business and I am so blessed to have found her. I can't imagine my wedding day without her being a part of it. It would of been a mad house without her attention to detail and experienced hand. Thank you, thank you Tanya and Southern Charm for all of your help in such a beautiful wedding!

We were so happy to run across Southern Charm Events. My husband and I had a destination wedding. We live in Georgia and we had our wedding in Jacksonville beach, FL. Tanya and Southern Charm Events saved our wedding. Our original vendor that was supposed to be arranging our beach wedding was horrible on getting back to me. Finally I found myself on my last trip to Jacksonville beach basically in tears from the lack of communication. We were having a hard time finding someone else, because our wedding was on Memorial day weekend. We were tired of hearing "it's impossible", since invitations were already out, and changing the date was not an option. My sister found Southern Charm somewhere online and we went to see Tanya, at my sister's persistence. Best thing we ever did! Tanya listened to our story, had a quote to us the next week and we were bonded at the hip. I would literally e-mail her when things came to my mind and she always replied before the day was up. She found us a cake lady, DJ, florist, transportation, set up for the beach wedding, hotel that provided great group rates, etc with only 2 months left till the wedding date. Literally the only thing we had was the reception area with catering, the photographer and videographer. I have to say after hiring Southern Charm Events I was able to sleep at night. Our wedding was beautiful and flowed seamlessly. We opted to do our own decorations, but Southern Charm still had additional decorative items that we were able to use. We even had a time line (which I would suggest you print out and give to someone to make sure you follow it). I am a self proclaimed perfectionist that would prefer to do things myself, but Southern Charm Events was the next best thing! I would recommend them to everyone and can't thank them enough!

My fiancee and I explained to Tanya our vision for our wedding including our budget.
She went out of her way to help us have the perfect day with everything we requested and more. She was able to save us quite a bit by putting us in touch with Judy's Cakes who did a beautiful job and also recommended exactly the amount of cake we would need for the occasion.
On our wedding day, Tanya and her assistant came early to help our friend with the design of the reception luncheon tables. When we were having difficulty getting in touch with the instrumentalists for the ceremony, Tanya made a point to keep calling the director until he got in touch with us. When my fiancee had a special request for a special song for our first dance, she found a way to see that it happened just the way he wanted it in spite of the instrumentalist not having it in their repetoire.
Seven weeks before the wedding, my future mother in law passed away unexpectedly and my future father in law became very ill requiring us to be out of town. I got home two weeks before the wedding and my fiancee only 5 days prior to. Things were very trying during this time with us caught up in planning and implimenting a funeral while taking care of an elderly parent living in another state.
We simply could not have had the perfect day without Tanya's willingness to go the extra mile for us by communicating with all the necessary vendors and making sure that everyone was on board while at the same time communicating with us to relieve any concerns. When the officiant couldn't make it to the rehearsal, Tanya came and directed that even though she had a very small window of opportunity to do so.
You can not do any better when planning for any special event, than to have Tanya Hendricks of "Southern Charm Events" on board!

We are very detailed, organized individuals and have had years of experience in the hospitality industry but did not want to coordinate it all and enjoy the beautiful day! We called on Tanya to help us pull everything together and make sure all went off with out a hitch. She was extremely helpful, detailed and just what we needed. She also added that wonderful "southern charm" that a lot of people have lost when it comes to a special event. She had to step in and take care of few hickups and did it without missing a beat and we were so thankful not to have dealt with that on such an important day. We would recommend her to any bride and she's worth every penny!

Tanya, was so wonderful to work with, she is not a day of coordinator she is an overall coordinator, beginning with our first meeting, I knew this was exactly the type of person I needed to make all the small details of my day come together. She contacted all vendors and made sure that we understood all our contracts and made sure everything went according to schedule (she even created an extremely detailed timeline for the event, to keep everyone on track). We had a problem with out DJ but Tanya took it and dealt with it without the Groom or I ever having to lift a finger. She is truly a dream come true for any bride!

Tanya has handled our son's wedding, a large Cinco de Mayo party, as well as coordinating a very large and detail oriented high school reunion, where I first saw her talent and professionalism hard at work. I would recommend her and her vendors when planning any occasion large or small...Tanya allowed my wife and I the freedom to sit back and enjoy the festivities knowing that with her involvement, the smallest of details would be attended to, and that we actually saved money by having Tanya make all of the arrangements.

Tanya Hendricks of Southern Charm Events is the best wedding planner you could ever have. From a business point of view she has the best prices and she is very professional. She is always on time and she is always aware of what is going on around her and around her bride. She does everything to make the bride and groom feel like family and just have a wonderful time. On a personal level, I became very close with Tanya. It is hard not to with her fun, outgoing, and loving personality. I felt very confident having her handle the planning for my wedding. If I ever had any questions I could call her anytime and she would always be there with the answer. I don't think there was ever a time that she didn't have the answer to one of my questions. On the wedding day usually most brides are nervous that something is going to go wrong. I wasn't nervous at all on my wedding day. I was very relaxed and all I had to do was focus on myself and my husband. Tanya took care of the rest! All in all I think that every bride should have Tanya as their wedding planner. She will give you the wedding of your dreams!

From the very first phone call, I knew Tanya Hendricks was the right person for our Son's wedding. We were not disappointed, in fact, she exceeded our expectations. The event turned out to be awesome! The Bride and Groom appreciated not being held to a rigid schedule and enjoyed taking all the time they wanted to greet and talk to guests during the reception. Everything flowed so well and we received comments from more than one person that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. Tanya gave us suggestions that helped with cost reduction. She escorted a wedding crasher out the door, quietly I might add. She made the wedding day stress free for the bride and groom as well as the MOB and MOG.

Tanya is AMAZING! No matter what you hire her for, she is there for everything! I had a little conflict with one of my vendors 10 days prior to my wedding. Tanya dropped everything she was doing to help us out. She sat there for 2 hours with us, coached us in how to solve it, and had a back up solution waiting if things didn't smooth out. She truly LOVES planning weddings, and puts her heart and soul into it. I would recommend her to everyone!!!!!!!!!

My wife and I have had many events in our 31-year marriage. After dozens of birthday parties (we have 4 kids, all grown now, thankfully!), weddings, etc., we contacted Tanya and "gave her the reigns"! It was nice to see my wife able to relax and enjoy for a change. Tanya is a lady with great ability as well as character. Tanya was wonderful. She was only supposed to help the day before and the day of the wedding, but as soon as we hired her she started contacting all of the vendors. The only thing I had to do was show up!! She is professional and she knows how to take care of her brides.

I used Tanya at Southern Charm events as my event rental company. I had already hired a wedding planner, so didn't used her services for that. Big regret. Tanya was professional, accommodating, and willing to work with my last minute changes to rentals. In hindsight, after meeting her and talking to her, i wish I would have also used her to plan my wedding. Oh well,...highly recommended in either case. The only "problem" I had was sometimes she is hard to get in touch with. But now I know that it is because she is so busy!!! I'm telling all my bride friends to go her way. Super cute vintage style wedding props and always there with a smile. Thanks Tanya.....

Easy experience

The girls at southern charm provided excellent customer service and their pricing was realistic to others in our area. The only issues we had with our rentals is that all 100 chairs needed a good wiping down as they are white and you could tell they were dirty easily. The chairs also had deep scratch marks on the folding part, which could also be seen. We also rented wine barrels and they were perfect condition. Overall easy and great experience.

This company came highly recommended by my wedding planner. However, a few weeks before the wedding they had a staff change. We had been dealing with Leah since the beginning who we absolutely LOVED. There was a new individual whom was hired, and we had some difficulty with our bill, they changed around some items and left some out. We did not hear back on email for 2 days then the individual said it was in her junk mail. We loved all the items that came and were delivered to the venue, it was all stunning. I do not know if everything came, but I did not want to worry on my wedding day. Everyone said it was a perfect wedding so I will take it!
