Untouchable planning and expertise

Where do I even begin…first off, when it comes to a wedding planner, look no further!! There is no comparison (and trust me when I say…I did my due diligence and vet almost every wedding planner in the industry) when it comes to the level of expertise, knowledge and perseverance of Sonal and her amazing team!! A little over a week ago, our dreams came true. Actually, what happened last week far surpassed what our wildest dreams could have ever even imagined. Sonal and Ginny, having you by our side was hands down the best decision we made. The unbelievable magic that took place last week has been the talk of the town and every single guest that attended. We had a very large destination wedding and literally everyday since we got back, we are getting HUNDREDS of messages of being blown away from the experience and the meticulous and perfect planning from our guests but also from people who were watching via peoples posts and stories all over social media. We have complete strangers reaching out to us saying they were blown away by everything as they watched stories being posted online. Every single person has thanked us over and over again for giving them an experience they have never had and probably never will again. We have people begging us to have a vow renewal (every year) so they can experience similar events again. Every single one of our guests have made comments on the planning and execution of every event and took notice of every single detail. We were blessed with rain (yes, I love rain that much) on our wedding day but you can imagine the chaos this creates with everything when this happens. The seamless step in and step up when all things could have gone wrong was impeccable. You know it was an amazing weekend when not just us as the bride and groom and our families are dealing with post wedding blues but almost everyone who attended has reached out to us saying how much fun they had and how indescribable the experience was that coming back home has nothing short of sucked and there is a level of sadness everyone has that it’s over. We are so thankful for you and all of the SJS Angels for making our wedding one for the books. It will be talked about for ages and it most definitely was the wedding of a lifetime!! Sonal, Ginny….you are a gift to this industry. You are fierce strong women who leave countless impacts on peoples lives. Single-handedly, this industry is a better place because of you two!! There is NO BETTER TEAM in this industry to make your wedding dreams come true!! You are a force to be reckoned with!! Thank you will never be enough for all did 💙 you will forever have a place in our hearts!!

Sarin Wedding

Sonal is an absolute perfectionist and a dream to work with! She sees the vision for the bride and groom so clearly and then works tirelessly to make that into a reality for them. She is always there when we have questions and makes wedding planning fun for us. Having her as our full wedding planner has been the best decision we have made so far. She is super approachable and will work with you to figure out the right solutions when you have any problems. Moreover, she knows the wedding industry in & out and is therefore such a huge asset when working with venues, logistics, vendors etc. We couldn't recommend her enough to others as we feel that your wedding planning should be a memorable experience and with Sonal it will be exactly that.

I have no idea how we could have had such an amazing wedding without their services. Sonal and her crew were awesome from the very beginning. They are extremely organized and detail oriented. They have a ton of ideas for different events and helped out with literally anything we asked. They know the best vendors, make great recommendations, and planned the dream wedding for us.
I keep hearing "That was the best wedding I've ever been to" from our guests. Sonal and her staff will make your dream wedding come true. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend them.

We are sooo thankful to have had Sonal and her amazing team help us with our wedding!! They were incredibly thorough and organized and made sure we were happy and not stressed! My guests said they were all very nice and I would definitely agree with that! Could never have done this wedding with them!

One of the best in the business!

My husband and I are generally procrastinators, and we honestly had no idea how to approach this wedding planning. Sonal and her team were beyond godsend, they made sure we were on task throughout the process without being pushy. Sonal always listened to our ideas, we were able to incorporate everything we wanted, and she was a very big reason why everything was able to come to fruition. Our wedding day was an absolute dream, my parents cannot stop raving about how everything went without a hitch, and we cannot thank Sonal and her team enough for everything they did. It truly was the best day every for us.

My husband and I are super "on it" but when it came to wedding planning, we were very laid back and often took our time. We needed someone like Sonal J. Shah and her team to help us to stay on point and drive us forward even when all we wanted to do was stay in the blissful state of engagement. When I think back to our wedding planning, I think back to relying on Sonal and Ruth for a lot of support. No question ever seemed stupid to ask (even though I often felt like it might be) and everything was addressed in the most timely manner possible. Sonal and her team thought through everything from A to Z - often we left out so much and they were thinking of things even I had not even thought of! Our wedding weekend was absolutely lovely from the vendors to the entire implementation of everything. We could have not done it without Sonal and her team and absolutely recommend SJS events. Sonal and Ruth are professional, honest, and most importantly- reliable!

SJS is the ultimate wedding planning team

Sonal and her team are the best wedding planners in the business, period. My husband and I thanked our stars multiple times during the wedding planning process that we were working with Sonal. She was a stalwart through multiple planning hiccups and was an incredible resource. Not to mention, Sonal and her team made the actual wedding weekend an absolute breeze! Best decision we made for our wedding.

Thank you so much for all your help and calmness. You made our week-long event more than a success! You were all extremely thorough and organized, and definitely put in your 110%. Something that we particularly liked that many of our guests said you all were very friendly - which isn't always the case with wedding planners! Many of our guests have asked about you and your services, and rest assured you will have plenty of referrals. And during the whole event, you all always had a smile on your face even if we got a little stressed at moments. We honestly could never have done this without you. Dear Sonal, Ruth, Ginny & the entire SJS Team, Words cannot describe how thankful we are to you guys for the flawless execution of our dynamic wedding. From the moment we met you until the end of my reception, you all have been an integral part (if not, the most integral part) of my wedding planning journey. I know for a fact that we could not have done half of what we wanted to or half of what we achieved without your help. I'm the only bride that wasn't the least bit stressed during her entire wedding planning process and trust me, that was not unnoticed. Everyone that asked me how got the same answer, it was because of you guys. I literally don't have words as to how organized you were at all times. Our bridesmaids & groomsmen were in awe of how efficient you were when it came to answering their questions, how exactly on time each event was, and most of all, how easy you made it look. Neeti was wonderful during the actual wedding weekend and was always attentive to Shravan and I. I'm sure she went well beyond her duties when she had to try to drag Shravan out of bed the morning of the wedding! Ginny and Ruth, you guys were my go to with anything wedding related in the months and days leading up. I could always count on you to reply to me within minutes and answer any questions I had. You both were amazing!! All of our vendors said they couldn't have done their jobs as well as they did without your guidance. My family was so incredibly pleased with everything, and you know how specific my dad can be, you made HIM happy. That's a huge deal! Overall, I may have had a dream wedding but it was so much because of my dream event planning team. You are an extremely talented woman Sonal, and you have an amazing team to back you up. You were my wedding lifeline and as happy as I am that we had the best wedding ever, I'm going to miss talking with you every day and your 100 emails!! Sonal and her team were a pleasure to work with. We truly appreciated their attention to detail, sincerity, and proactivity. Even though we hired Sonal for day of coordination, the moment she got on board, it felt like she was our full time planner! She quickly became involved in every aspect. Her team was fantastic! For the event, they were so kind and attentive to the timeline, but also (and most importantly) to the bride and groom. There was always a staff member at our sides, taking care of all the little things we may need...their sincerity and helpfulness was above and beyond what we expected! We had a great time working with Sonal and co. and were impressed with their service, thoroughness, and especially their organizational skills from day one.

The best wedding planner

What can we say about SJS - we are truly short of words for how thankful we are. Sonal and her team made our dream wedding a reality by taking care of everything. From the big details to the small - her team looked after everything with such care and focus. They were so kind to us and our families during the whole planning process. I remember everyone telling how relaxed we were during our wedding weekend and i think that was only possible because of the SJS team. The ultimate complement was everyone was telling our parents how well run, organized and beautiful everything was...and that is because of SJS...they took the stress out of wedding planning for our whole family and delivered in a BIG way! It really made both of us super happy to see our parents have an amazing time and not worry about anything. In short..SJS is the BEST personally and professionally and we could not be more thankful to have them plan our wedding. She was the first vendor we hired and i'm so thankful for it - we are forever grateful to Sonal and Ginny!! LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

Sonal and her team were extremely instrumental in making sure that our wedding went perfectly, and we really couldn't have made everything happen without them. They were involved from the initial planning stages (deciding where and when to have the event) all the way until our farewell brunch after the events were over, and they provided invaluable assistance in ensuring the success of the weekend. We really could not have had the wedding we were able to without them. Although our dream was to have our wedding on the beach, the weather didn't cooperate. However, Sonal and her team made sure that everything was set up properly indoors and made the place look beautiful - so much so that we ended up being incredibly happy with how everything turned out, despite the rain. Sonal, Laura, Ruthie, Katherine, Shital, and everyone else we were lucky enough to work with over the months of our wedding planning really went above and beyond, and we could not have done it without them. Thank you to all of you for everything - you made our wedding perfect and we could not be happier with how everything turned out!

We had an amazing wedding weekend and wanted to thank you (and staff) for a wonderful job!! Friday was fantastic - everyone continued to comment about how unbelievable the cocktail hour food was (along with the cute signage that design house had created).

Saturday at Cipriani was just an unbelievable day. The decor was absolutely breathtaking. Both Neeraj and I had kept on commenting how it felt like it was a dream. The entire day was perfection and I know it could have not been executed without your work and planning. Everything flowed so well and seemed like a magazine featured in some bridal magazine. So many of our guests (who do not offer compliments liberally) said that this was the best wedding they have ever been to and likely ever attend. I could not believe that the dance floor remained packed the entire night and many of our guests who usually leave right after dinner stayed all the up until the end.

Thank you again for your help, attention to detail, and amazing execution!

No need to call anyone else!

We signed with SJS Events in March 2021 and worked with Sonal and Ginny for a year and a half leading up to our wedding weekend over Labor Day 2022.

Reflecting on our wedding, the most valuable dollar spent was on SJS Events. They are extremely detail-oriented and make the planning process and managing of the entire weekend so seamless. Neither us nor our families had anything to worry about over the 2-3 days of events - everything was coordinated so well and taken care of by Sonal and her team.

Aside from managing the process, they have great vision when it comes to each of your events. From decor, lighting, how to set up food, etc. and making all of that work within your budget - SJS does a fantastic job.

Our family and guests kept saying this was the best wedding they had ever attended.

Would highly, highly recommend - no need to contact any other planning team.

Initially, I was skeptical of event planners; but after our wedding extravaganza, there is NO way we would have another party without you! Sonal and her team make magic happen. Thanks to the SJS events team, our guests (and we, as hosts) got to enjoy the party of our lives, without a hitch - and none of it would have been possible without Sonal's consulting, planning, and coordinating services.

It's hard to remember everything that the SJS team contributed to our special weekend. They were understanding and sensitive to our families' needs, they shared their wedding wisdom and advice freely, even if it wasn't always exactly what we wanted to hear - and thank goodness they were honest, because they were always right.

I wish I had been keeping notes on everything they did for us, but I was busy enjoying the party! It was completely stress-free. Every vendor they recommended was a superstar; and every other vendor, they brought up to their level.

I have never seen my entire family on-time, much less early, for anything, but the SJS team made it happen with solid planning and great communication. They were laser-focused - no detail was too small or too large for them to handle.

There are a hundred things more that I am forgetting and probably a hundred things more that we will never know they took care of. I have never heard of a wedding where literally nothing goes wrong, until I was part of this one. If you are considering Sonal and her team, reach out to them! They will be the best decision you ever make (and they'll make sure every decision after that is a good one too).
