Our dream wedding, beautiful, relaxed, and exactly our style. We chose to have the wedding at the Cenote Puerta Maya, Mexico, just west of Akumal. We can't say enough good things about our wedding with Blue Venado. From the start, our coordinator Christian Del Rio was phenomenal. He worked seamlessly with our outside vendors, answered every question we had, and made us feel completely supported. One of our favorite moments was when we decided to jump into the Cenote. Christian offered to get in with us and film on a GoPro as a gift, and that footage is priceless to us. We loved that Blue Venado let us shape the day around our own style. If you're a couple that wants to choose every charger plate and napkin fold, you absolutely can and they have more options than we wanted to get into. We were much more relaxed, and chose to pick a general style, sharing our vision and colors, then trusting Christian and his team to bring it to life. Saying that they delivered beautifully is an understatement. Trust that the professionals who do this as a living know what to do. Walking into that space and seeing it for the first time felt magical. The venue itself was stunning, especially after dark when the lighting reflected off the cenote walls. We added the fire show and drum water performance, as our group was a bit smaller than a dance floor would have made sense for, and both were incredible. Food was a highlight. The ceviche was a favorite, the ribeye was outstanding, the salmon got great feedback, and the tiramisu was a delicious dessert. Even the late night snack (pizza) hit the spot. It wasn't the best pizza, but it was exactly what everyone wanted after hours of celebrating. Throughout the night, drinks stayed full, food kept coming, and our guests were cared for. A few things future couples may find helpful: Blue Venado relies on the planning document as the master reference. We made some late updates while already in Mexico with spotty internet, so a couple of details didn't sync. We received a different cake than we had selected. It was still delicious and lovely, but if specifics matter, finalize all that well before travel. Similarly, if you're creating your own playlist, make it longer than you think, Chris and the DJ seamlessly filled in our playlist with more songs to keep the night festive. This particular venue is also a bit more rustic, so the restroom setup is more limited. And since it was an exceptionally hot week, we upgraded to what we understood would be large industrial fans. It wasn't quite what we pictured, but everyone stayed comfortable, especially with the shade of the palapa and the handheld fans we brought. None of these small things changed how we feel. Our wedding was beautiful, relaxed, and completely us. If we were planning again, we would choose Blue Venado and Christian all over again. Thank you for an unforgettable day.

My husband and I participated in an elopement experience here after deciding, we wanted to cancel a larger celebration. Communication throughout the year has been top-notch with the wedding coordinator Ilians. Any question I had whether big or small she was there. Prior to our wedding day, we went over all the details again to make sure it would be perfect and made adjustments accordingly. The whole staff was truly accommodating and they made you feel like you truly were home no matter where on the hotel you went. We did a symbolic ceremony and the officiant Was great He has a voice where you can listen to him tell stories for days. It was very soothing and overall not stressful at all. You can really tell that the staff care about your wedding experience and that you feel comfortable down to the last second Ilians and Sam helped me with my dress, making sure everything looked the way I wanted, and that I would feel my best even if my family and friends weren’t around. This was truly an excellent experience whether you are choosing to have a larger ceremony or a simple elopement. You will truly have the best experience with an amazing staff. I truly appreciate them all.

Petit Lafitte has a TOP NOTCH team! They took care of every desire for my wedding weekend- and went above and beyond! They were so helpful in planning the entire weekend and threw in surprises along the way. This was the best place to get married EVER, we had 100 guests and everyone had a blast. Really tremendously enjoyed this and would highly recommend to everyone planning a wedding weekend!!

Overall we had an amazing experience having our wedding at Mvngata. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and working with Monse as our coordinator made planning our wedding from California so easy. The food was to die for. The location is beyond gorgeous both the beach and the rooftop. The rooms (especially the honeymoon suite) are fantastic. The rooftop has an infinity pool that mimics the colors of the ocean and this is where our guests wanted to spend the entire weekend and we can't blame them. When we were there, we were treated so well. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, taking excellent care of both us and our guests. The only negative I have to say about the venue is that communicating with the hotel itself while planning was a bit difficult for both us and our guests. But I cannot say enough good things about Monse. She took care of EVERYTHING both before and during the wedding, including when we were having trouble talking directly to the hotel. She was so easy to work with, hooked us up with all of our outside vendors and made the planning process honestly so easy and stress-free. The venue was just the right size for our destination wedding with about 55 guests. It was our dream wedding and we will definitely be back.
