From start to finish, she was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we truly appreciated how she took care of every detail, big and small. From the first meeting to the big day, she made everything so easy for us. I didn't have to stress about anything during the planning process. Everything ran so smoothly. Many of our guests were blown away by how well everything came together. She really brought our vision to life, and we’re so thankful for her hard work and creativity. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who’s getting married! -

If I could give 6 stars I would. I was a Bride who didn't love the whole wedding planning process but Rachel truly made the process easy to follow and helped me feel calm and supported throughout the entire process. Not a single thing went wrong throughout the entire day thanks to Rachels amazing planning & coordination. My vendors RAVED about her in the months leading up to our wedding. They were so impressed with her level of organization and communication. Not once during the day did I have to worry about where to be and when, Rachel was always right there to support but she also gave me and my husband the space to be able to enjoy our day without having to worry about event coordination. I wouldn't work with anyone else but Rachel if I had to do it all over again. She is the best of the best! Thank you, Rachel!!! -

Dickson Wedding
Firstly, Rachel was amazing to work with throughout the entire process. We contracted for “day of” services but felt like she was there to help us and answer any questions through our entire journey. Rachel was great at communicating with all of our vendors. Even when our venue was slow to respond to our communication Rachel stayed on top of it and made sure they followed up with us. She met with us multiple times in person before the wedding, she helped with our timeline, she organized all of vendors, and over saw everything during our wedding. On our wedding day things were happening behind the scenes and I never had to worry about anything. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a wedding planner! -

Rachel is a must hire!!! Not only was she so organized and ensured our wedding weekend ran smoothly but her kindness and overall presence put everyone at ease and I didn't stress for one second on wedding day. She was in constant communication with us leading up to the wedding weekend and she made sure my husband and I felt prepared and had all details thought through. We hired Rachel as our wedding coordinator after our venue (Glen-Ella Springs Inn) recommended her to us. We are so happy with our decision because we quite literally could not have had as beautiful of a wedding day without her and her assistant Danielle. Through the entire process Rachel was wonderful to work with. She provided helpful guidance early on in the planning, and when we got closer to our wedding date she gladly adjusted timelines, answered many questions, and kindly worked with our other vendors prepping for the big day. All of the vendor recommendations that Rachel provided to us that we used were also wonderful! She is very knowledgeable about the GA/NC wedding industry. Rachel is patient and it is apparent she has the ability to work with many types of personalities.
The rehearsal and wedding day were executed to perfection. Rachel had such a calm presence and made sure everything went according to plan. Rachel set up the décor and inventory better than I could have imagined and made last minute decisions and changes to her best discretion without making me think about any of those little details the day of the wedding. Rachel is a professional and expert in her field. The list could go on for all the little details she helped us with. I would hire her again and again because I know that her high standard of work was one of the major reasons our wedding was such a success! Thank you Rachel & Slauer Events for everything! -

We worked with Rachel for our February 2023 wedding and it was hands down the best decision we made during the planning process. What could have been an extremely stressful time was made so enjoyable by Rachel and her team!
Rachel was so attentive and informative throughout the planning process and always helped to answer my millions of questions or calm me down when I started to panic over minute details.
She was so incredibly organized and detailed and that was so important to me as an extremely type A personality. She was always patient with us and supported all of our ideas. Not only is she incredibly kind, but incredibly professional as well. She handled the day of our wedding with such ease! It was truly one of the most magical and stress-free days and for that we could not be more grateful.

I have nothing but the highest praise for Rachel. She is the kindest, most considerate, communicative, organized wedding planner in the INDUSTRY. I don't even know where to begin. From the beginning of our planning period until even after the wedding, Rachel has been there every step of the way!!
Rachel is incredibly detail oriented and thoughtful - she knows her way around your wedding day and will make suggestions that are tailored to you and your vision. She will also send reminders so that you can stay on top of any tasks that you need and so you don't miss any deadlines.
We had certain budget limitations and Rachel always worked within those ranges, helping us cut cost where we can and also finding creative alternatives that would still keep our wedding classy and ~bougie~.
She is responsive and organized - once we started our vendor search, I gave her kind of a vague list of things I was looking for and my budget - within the week she sent us a list of venues with the open dates and their pricing and reached out to all of the venues we wanted to tour. Her timeline of our wedding day was detailed out to the minute, color coded, and she was very purposeful in the flow of events - taking into consideration our families and our guests.
We had to make rain plans the week of, and Rachel was really quick with providing us options, making a strong suggestion, but also not losing out on the hope that it might not rain (which it did not rain whoop whoop!).
She is the GREATEST team player. Our wedding had SO many planned surprises, we had 2 surprise dances, a surprise toast, AND a surprise ice cream truck - all of this which she coordinated with different family members, vendors and friends of ours - keeping everything successfully under wraps and she perfectly executed it the day of!!
Rachel is not pushy, makes thoughtful suggestions, but is also very direct which is exactly what we needed. She was so involved in our wedding process even as a partial planner and was always a phone call / text away. I am eternally grateful for her!

From initial timeline call to the execution of the wedding day Rachel was just really wonderful to work with. I cannot recommend her enough for her expert advice, her calming presence and her ability to fit many requests in. Her team executed in a way that honors the couple, their family and their vendor's team. What I appreciate is that she is so for the couple that she steps in and makes what needs to happen possible for the vendors to create their very best. This is all while offering a great attitude and extending kindness. Hiring Rachel was the best decision we made in our wedding planning process. From start to finish, she was responsive, kind, and extremely on top of it. She made the entire process so easy and seamless. She reached out to every vendor, but let me step in whenever I wanted to. She provided her expert advice, but never pushed back when I offered an alternative. We never once felt alone in the process. She followed up with vendors when they were slow to respond, was respectful of our budget, and was EXTREMELY organized. Having Rachel with us every step of the way really put our minds at ease. She took care of everything while we were busy with work/life and, on the day of the wedding, she was an absolute angel.
If anything went wrong on our wedding day, we didn't know about it. Rachel took care of everything and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything was going smoothly. She was there when we needed her and somehow kept everything on time while maintaining an incredibly calming presence.
Throughout the planning process, we could text or call Rachel any time, and I really feel like we made a good friend out of the whole process. I will actually miss working with her.
If you're on the fence, hire Rachel for her full services. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and Rachel had a lot to do with that! -

I got married on 11/13/2021 and would 1000% recommend Slauer Events & Design to anyone looking for a wedding planner! My husband found Rachel’s page and after we all talked for the first time, we knew she would be a great fit as our planner. Rachel helped us figure out a wedding vision and assisted with coordinating vendors and all the little details. She always had great ideas that I never would have thought of and was very easy to communicate with.
Rachel was always willing to meet with us and answer any questions we had, and I always felt relieved and less stressed after each planning session. Everything she sent out was organized and helped me stay on track for timelines.
Our wedding rehearsal was at our house since we were unable to rehearse at the venue, and it was hectic but Rachel was so calm and collected the entire time and made things run smoothly!
On our actual wedding day, Rachel was so helpful and went above and beyond for us. She kept everything on time and moving along and used the decor we brought to make a beautiful ceremony and reception space! Her assistant was also fantastic and took care of us the whole time. I did not have to worry about the little details and logistics because Rachel and her team took care of it all and made our wedding day so smooth! I could not recommend Slauer Events & Design more, Rachel was absolutely wonderful and we could not have done it without her! -

Rachel is not just a planner but a partner to help make your wedding day vision come true!
Rachel was so helpful in the vendor management, scheduling, and organizing the 100s of little details that you won’t even think about. This will be the biggest and most meaningful event you’ll likely ever throw. It’s going to be stressful and you are going to want help. We changed our floor plans multiple times, worked through Covid/weather plans, and customized the day’s agenda to reflect who we are as a couple. Rachel had such a calming presence through it all and I don’t think we saw her stop moving on our wedding day! We truly didn’t have to worry about a thing. She made sure everything was taken care of, we were where we needed to be at all times, and that we felt like guests and not hosts that got to enjoy the festivities. It was such a gift and allowed us to be present with all of our loved ones. -

Rachel is a precious gem! I worked with Rachel this past year to navigate wedding planning alongside COVID. She made us feel seen and quickly captured our vision and brought it to life. Rachel brings a sense of joy and grounding regardless of any circumstance. She was quick to offer solutions and was always one step ahead of any possible barrier. As a Type A planner, it was so comforting to know that Rachel was both detail oriented and organized. Rachel proactively checked in often as she was busy coordinating with all the vendors behind the scene. In addition, she was quick to respond to any question we had. She worked hard to ensure the month prior was smooth sailing and all the details were in place regardless of whether we were in Plan A or F. We could enjoy the final month countdown knowing our day would be a fairytale despite all the changes. Rachel was no different the day of the wedding! Her nurturing personality kept everyone calm and relaxed and the day went by without any hiccups (at least to our knowledge). She captured the attention of the wedding party with her kindness making it so easy to want to listen to next steps. We were so thankful to have Rachel by our side and we owe her all the credit for a flawless day! -

I cannot say enough great things about Rachel! From the first phone call we had I knew she was going to be great! From the first meeting til the end she never missed a beat. She would always take notes during our meetings so I didn’t have to worry about missing anything and she would send them to me afterwards to remind me of things I needed to still figure out what I wanted. We had a huge crazy change happen due to COVID where for two months we had no idea what would happen with our wedding. Rachel was always there to help guide me through everything. She made sure we knew our options and told us no matter what she would be there whether on the original day we had planned to get married or a different day. She was a huge blessing. We even ended up pushing back when we were going to decide what to do by to wait for phase two of reopening and from there found out we could have our wedding with less than 100 guests. It all worked out and Rachel made sure we were ready for any situation. The day of she made sure that I was always doing good with everything and I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing with her. She also insured we stayed on time throughout the whole day! Okay you probably aren’t reading this by now but if you are, message her and hire her right now! You won’t regret it! -

I cannot say enough about Rachel! I am so thankful that I hired her as our wedding planner. We had our first meeting in May 2018 for our April 2020 wedding and we all know what happened in April 2020. She has been amazing through the postponement process and she also helped us create our "elopement" for our original wedding date. She is so organized, very detailed in her work, responsive, patient and supportive. During our time together, she has had a child and moved from GA to NC and she did not miss a beat. I met Rachel before I got engaged, and when I found out she went into wedding planning, I knew that I needed her to be a part of mine! She has different packages available, but I went with the event coordination. Rachel made herself available for monthly check ins, but went beyond the listed services to help me find vendors and research options. I can't stress enough how professional and organized Rachel is, but what's so special about her is how kind and patient she is with all aspects of the process. He only knew this through her social media pages. I reached out to her, we met to discuss our vision and our wishes in a wedding planner and the rest was history. Rachel was there for ya from beginning to end. Every detail, if I had a question, I knew I could ask her for help or an opinion. She takes so much time on each of her weddings that you’d never even know she works on anybody else’s! We definitely recommend her for anybody needing help with decisions, a clearer vision or just assistance on the day of. She helped make our day the most special it could’ve been! <3

She helped me to be more organized and also helped with finalizing all the minor details. I was 100% a DIY bride and she really helped with the placement of everything and the set up. Her editing eye cannot be matched! I had a few mishaps on my end and Rachel was right there to help me out. Our beautiful day wouldn't have been anything without her and her team there!!! I was really getting overwhelmed with the tiny details and needed someone to understand my vision and help pull everything together so I did not have to worry about stressing the day of my wedding! Sarah Sent on 09/25/2018Rachel was the wedding gift I didn’t know I needed. My incredible mother-in-law knew I needed her, though. When my mother-in-law told me she had hired a wedding coordinator, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect because both my ceremony and reception venue both had mandatory day-of coordinators. I thought it may turn into a logistical mess from having too many people in charge, but boy was I wrong! Rachel is a logistical queen and was truly the glue that held the planning, ceremony, and reception together.
Rachel is incredibly kind and always has a smile on her face. She is so calm that it is impossible to become a bridezilla in her presence. When we first started, I was tickled by how she took the time to get to know us and figured out what we wanted. She also worked with our schedule, which was a feat considering we live on the west coast and only came out to Atlanta at inopportune times (aka the holidays) before the wedding. She was incredibly professional and had no issues adjusting to call and meeting changes; her flexibility is admirable.
The flexibility extends into the types of brides she works with! I was probably a different type of bride: I wanted to do a lot of the planning of the details and vendors myself, but I didn’t want to do anything a few weeks before or during the wedding day. Rachel took that all in stride and worked with me in a way that made me feel very comfortable and listened to.
What I was most thankful for was how she was able to seamlessly bring together the entire day. Not having to worry about all the transitions of the day made it infinitely less stressful.
Having a wedding coordinator to meld your event together is essential, and Rachel is more than qualified to help with your day. We loved her work and highly recommend her for your wedding!
