    Pick Dawn as your wedding coordinator - she's incredible!!!

    Dawn went above and beyond to make our wedding day absolutely seamless and perfect. She was so organized, communicative, and patient throughout the entire process. I am a type A perfectionist who truly hates letting someone else take charge and ownership, but with Dawn, I knew I was in good hands from the very beginning. She cared about our wedding as if it was her own, and we know that the wedding wouldn't have gone as smoothly without her direction and organization. Everything was perfectly timed, and all our guests really felt at ease because of all the planning that Dawn did to ensure our timeline had the guest experience in mind. I'm not someone who rights reviews, but I had to share my experience with working with Dawn so other brides would feel encouraged to use her! She's a class act and will make your wedding a dream!!

    Best decision ever!

    I really can't express how much I appreciated having Dawn by my side through the planning and execution of my wedding. Dawn is incredibly calm, poised, professional, detail oriented and fun (which is very important ;))! I used to be a former event manager myself and was very concerned that I wouldn't be able to let-go of being "in the details" but almost immediately I felt so comfortable and confident in Dawn's abilities that I was really able to turn things over and let her do what she does best! 
    You cannot go wrong with choosing to work with Dawn to plan your special day. She is worth every penny and SO much more! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dawn!

    Organized, Kind, and the best to work with!

    Dawn is the best! She was there for us from the minute we started working together. It didn't matter if it was a Sunday afternoon when we couldn't figure out tables or 11pm the night before the wedding when we needed assurance that all was okay. Dawn was present and welcoming. Her services proved to be essential both in terms of helping us with things we could never know were important for the big day (who knew vendor wedding insurance was kind of critical to have) to all of the little things we inevitably forgot about like table numbers and bathroom baskets. The day of the wedding went very smoothly, and any issues were proactively handled by Dawn and her assistant Chris before the issues could reach us. We are so happy to have worked with Dawn and would recommend her to anyone.

    Best Decision for our Wedding

    Hiring Dawn as our wedding planner was the best decision we could have made. We knew that it was going to be difficult for us to plan on our own due to us living out of state. Throw in an unforeseeable pandemic forcing us to postpone and I'm not sure how we would have managed if we we didn't have help. Dawn was absolutely invaluable. She basically handled everything with all of our vendors from making sure they all had the proper paperwork/insurance to organizing where everyone was supposed to be day-of. When the pandemic changed all of our plans, she found us a new date and made sure all of our vendors were available. She stayed up to date with all of the NYC regulations and made sure we were aware of what needed to be done to have a successful wedding. And we did. It was everything we hoped it would be.

    Creative and organized the perfect package

    We hired Dawn and Co after a referral from a dear friend. She was the best investment for our wedding day. We opted in for her full service package since both of our careers are really demanding. She organized monthly touch bases, gave stellar vendor recommendations without being pushy and honestly became a friend to us. I hope to stay in touch with her because I miss her already! One of the things I found different about her was her creative edge. She has a background in design and fashion so we ended up adding on design and styling services the last few months leading up to our wedding date. She really turned it out and I was in tears by all of the well thought our personal touches. Thank you for being the perfect addition.

    Couldn’t have done it without her!

    I was hesitant to hire a planner at all. I love planning and I was up for the challenge. But after a month of doing everything on my own I was overwhelmed. My full time job left me zero time and I knew I needed real outside help. I came across Dawns website after searching for NY planners. Right off the bat she put me at ease. We ended up biting the bullet and investing in full planning. She allowed us to be as involved as possible but also took over as needed all while looping us in. Our wedding was beautiful and stress free. Thank you so much Dawn!

    Skylar Arden helped me have the wedding of my dreams!

    Dawn was a sweet and calming presence not just on my wedding day but in the weeks leading up to it. Four weeks out, she contacted all our vendors and put together the day’s timeline. It really eased my mind to know a such a professional was dealing with all the nitty gritty and I was going to be able to just enjoy my day.

    Throughout the day she helped with things like getting last minute decorations to our venue, handing out my tips to vendors, even getting the boutonnieres on the groomsmen before the church service. Her and Chris stayed out of the way, but I knew they were there in case we needed anything.

    At the end of the night I was especially happy she was there to deal with issues that arose with the shuttle bus company we hired to get our guests from the venue to the hotel. She was able to handle it on the phone while we enjoyed our dinner and mingling with our guests.

    Amazing Planner!

    Dawn was a dream to work with and handled all situations with grace. She wasn't just my wedding planner throughout this process. She was my therapist, confidante, project manager, the list goes on. We had a very large party and many different vendors to coordinate with and she managed everything with a smile and the patience of a saint which I wish I could emulate. I barely had to do anything the day of and got to enjoy as much of it that I can without needing to be involved with coordination which was my main reason for hiring Dawn. Also special shoutout to how well she helped us deal with an irate McDonalds manager who barged in during a photoshoot towards the end of the night caused by misunderstanding!

    Perfect touch for our dream wedding!

    I didn’t use Skylar Arden for my full wedding planning but I can only imagine if I did! We engaged SA to help with the design elements for our destination wedding and were so impressed with how well she was able to translate our vision into a beautiful mood board complete with details for how to achieve our dream wedding. We also tapped into Dawn’s craftiness for table numbers, escort and place cards and the cutest signature drink menu. Although abroad, we were so happy to have Skylar Arden’s touch sprinkled throughout our wedding.

    Top-Tier Wedding Planner

    Skylar Arden Events and Design did an incredible job managing every aspect of our wedding. The team was responsive, professional and flexible. My husband and I both have previous professional event planning experience, so our expectations were high. They exceeded our expectations and we were able to enjoy the time leading up to our wedding, instead of stressing over the little details. We can’t say enough about how good our experience was.

    Dawn is incredible

    We hired Dawn for full planning and she brought incredible value throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. As an added bonus, she is a wonderful person and an exceptional artist!

    Our wedding was at a DYI space so we knew we needed a day of coordinator. Before we met Dawn, we booked our caterer whose captain offered to be our DOC free of charge. For sometime we considered using the captain but decided to meet with Dawn whose information I received through a wedding event I went to.
    When we met with Dawn we knew we needed to hire her right away as a wedding gift to ourselves. Dawn delivered every step of the way and saved us a ton of money!

    What we loved most about Dawn, is that she took the time to understand our needs and our individual priorities. With this, she helped us focus our energy and budget on what really mattered to us. She always came through with fantastic recommendations even when we continued to change our minds. And she never once gave us a hard time when on several occasions we met and discussed what we wanted, she sent ideas or recommendations, and then we completely changed our minds. My husband and I can be difficult, type A, and incapable of handing things off and she handled it all with ease and professionalism.

    I could go on and on and on about how thrilled we are that we hired Dawn, but I think two examples sum it up best. First, is that Dawn has an incredible patience and ability to work with people. Our caterer, who is a family friend, can be incredibly difficult to work with. She handled this personality and countless issues with the utmost professionalism--I wish I could harness this power. We are so grateful for this. Second, is Dawn's value. Dawn went to our venue on the morning of our wedding very early to set up. While she was there a pipe burst and water started leaking on the floor. Because she was there so early she was able to contact the venue and have the pipe fixed and the water cleaned up before the ceremony. Had Dawn not been there, the first person to arrive would have been catering, which was 3 hours later...the pipe never would have been fixed on time.

    I wasn't totally sure I wanted to hire a planner because I had booked all the big stuff - DJ, Venue, Florist, Officiant, etc. and wasn't sure if I could afford or wanted to spend additional money on a planner for the month of. Now, after the fact, I honestly don't know what I would have done without Dawn, she was worth every penny. Dawn was amazing. She was so flexible and always came to me, was very easy to talk to and understood my vision for the day, and she took on all of the little nitty gritty tasks the month and weeks leading up to the big day that I didn't have time or energy to focus on. She was also SO helpful on the day of the wedding and helping to set up the venue and the flowers and arrange all of the other elements. When I walked in, I didn't really know what to expect but she made it look beyond what I could have imagined and it felt so warm, inviting, and intimate - exactly what I was hoping for. Chris her assistant is also the most cheerful guy and always has a smile on his face. They are a great team! If you are still deciding to hire a planner and aren't sure what to do, I definitely recommend it so you can focus on your big day and soak up every moment and you cannot go wrong with Dawn & Chris.

    We cannot recommend Dawn enough. If you're wondering if a month-of planner is an unnecessary splurge, I'm here to say, hello from the other sideeeee - HIRE DAWN.

    It is incredible how much of over a year of wedding planning actually comes together in the final days before your wedding, right when all of the guests arrive and excitement builds and everyone is getting stressed. For this time specifically Dawn is a lifesaver and worth every one of your pennies. She is also a wonderful florist and made the most beautiful DIY centerpieces for us that bring me joy every time I look at photos, one of a million little details she took care of perfectly.

    Finding Dawn took our wedding from overwhelming to fun and easy. We were both busy with work, I have a handicapped Mom who couldn't help with tasks, and as the wedding approached we realized we needed extra help for the homestretch. So we found Dawn as our month-of planner. Her easygoing attitude, attention to detail and genuine care for the people she partners with made it a no-brainer.

    Dawn is organized, gracious and calm. Every time we asked her anything she had all the answers, and replied almost instantaneously. Dawn's assistant, Chris, was also a pleasure to work with.

    However our venue posed many challenges in planning and also on our wedding day - but the best thing about Dawn was that she told us exactly as much as we needed to know to get what she needed to get done, done. We were not burdened with the whole truth of the situation and experienced a perfect wedding because she planned it that way (and dutifully kept the couple getting married away from the problems.)

    After the wedding Dawn did what she could to help us understand the depth of the situation with the venue and offered solutions, which was above and beyond her job requirements. But she's just the kind of person who cares about the work she does and can be depended on to do the right thing even after the event is over. Hire her!

    Skylar Arden was an absolutely critical addition to my wedding day and to the months leading up to it. Dawn, the owner, was down to earth, easy to talk to, and she is not afraid to get her hands dirty to ensure that you have the best wedding day. Dawn and her day-of assistants were the epitome of class and professionalism on our wedding day. Nothing that I (figuratively) threw at her seemed to be too much or too crazy or impossible. She kept me on schedule during the year leading up to our wedding (which is a HUGE TASK, as I tend to procrastinate) but was never pushy. She was always available to meet me in-person or via email, text, or a phone call, without hesitation. The vendors that she recommended were home-runs. Seriously BOOK HER NOW before it's too late.

    Not one glitch from event planning stages to completion. Dawn was a pleasure and ease to work with where sometimes in NYC you run up against your "challenging" Event Planners. Dawn was far from that! She commanded the lead and ensured everything was calm, cool and collected. It was a pleasure working with her and her Team.

    I knew Dawn through a mutual friend, and when I got engaged I thought of her to coordinate my wedding. We did a "month of" package with day of coordinating and floral design as well.

    Dawn scheduled calls with us at booking, a couple months out, and then during the month of she was completely ready to help me with anything I asked. She coordinated with our vendors to get their paperwork and other boring things we didn't want to do :)

    She gave us many recommendations such as our officiant (Once upon a vow) who was INCREDIBLE and my hair and makeup (Joli Beauty Bar) also amazing ladies.

    Dawn also did our floral design. She knew what I wanted to spend, and what vibe I was going for and she totally turned it out. I loved our bouquets that she got hand dyed ribbons for, and the glass bottles she used for our tables. She helped me to create my minimalist slightly boho chic look i was going for.

    Dawn is very down to earth and keeps a calm demeanor at all times. We also had a few laughs along the way - I honestly felt like we were planning a wedding with a friend.

    I couldn't recommend her more.

    From the time I contacted Dawn, got a response back the next day. Dawn was available for every meeting appointment, having her for the day off my wedding was very relaxing everything was very smooth. Thank You Very Much Dawn

    My wedding was the best day ever and I could not have enjoyed it without the help of Skylar Arden. As an interior designer, I am more than capable of planning and coordinating and creating a beautiful setup, however there is always the stress of becoming your own planner that makes the whole process unappealing. I was working 14hour days and my husband was studying for his CFA level 3 exam and Dawn was able to work with our crazy schedules. In the beginning, Dawn was someone I could bounce ideas off. When you plan your own wedding, a lot of the difficulties lay in what you think your guests want, what you have to order or buy or plan to impress them, make their day as special as they are making yours... Dawn was there to put sense into the planning. She was one part designer, one part planner and two parts therapist. She offered as much or as little help as I wanted/needed and was extremely tactful in how she approached issues. I had financial worries and was not the "wedding" type, I had a budget that I wanted to stick to and Dawn helped me with creating a realistic budget. She found great vendors for music and had great ideas for floral arrangements and overall space planning. I had both my ceremony and reception at the Coral House which was a difficult place to do anything even remotely close to a "dream wedding". But Dawn helped coordinate my string quartet, escort gifts, tabletop gifts, backdrop, music, arrangements and made sure the timing of everything was perfection. The talent that is Skylar Arden, is in Dawn's ability to vanish and reappear when needed, meaning she was always in the background planning the next step, never intruding but always watchful. At times I would forget she was there until I walked into a room of beautifully set arrangements, the cake came out, or people filed in or if I were called for a bouquet toss, Dawn was undetectable but her presence was always there. I did not have a single hiccup that day. She was the real star that day :)

    Me and my husband had great time to work with Dawn. She is wonderful. Always be there when you need her, and great arrangement for everything. Even we only have 2 months to prepare everything. She still done a great job. We are so glad to having her.

    We hired Dawn as event support for our nonprofit's annual gala this past Spring (standing cocktail reception, 300+ guests, celeb presence). During planning, she was meticulously organized, detail-oriented, and efficient. Onsite, even during high-stress moments, she remains calm, focused, and helps to keep the event flowing smoothly. Dawn has an exceptional eye for design (e.g. invite design, florals, decor), and helps incorporates your personal aesthetics/brand into the event design. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her for a wedding or other event!

    I was planning a small daytime wedding in NYC with five months lead time with about 50 guests. I initially thought it wouldn't be a problem bc it was supposed to be small budget wedding, but I realized I needed so much more help few weeks into the wedding, particularly because the venue we used came with no decorations and I wasn't so thrilled about spending a fortune on heaps of flowers to decorate the place. I wanted to have clean, minimal, modern aesthetic to the venue and I designed most of the themes and props for the wedding, but I was in need of someone to execute the vision I had on the day of as I'd be so busy all day on the wedding day. After contacting several event coordinators, who only did full-service event design until I was referred to Dawn! She was very responsive, very professional, understood my vision, flexible with meeting times and venue site visits in a very short span of time, and affordable! On the day of, she was on time, executed everything I asked and more flawlessly, helped break down everything and remembered to save all memorabilia that we wanted her to save. Everyone at the wedding was very impressed how I managed to plan a wedding in five months, and I couldn't have done it without Dawn and her assistant! I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone - she also does full-service planning, project-by-project work and she has excellent taste!

    We worked with Dawn, and let me just say that she saved us from countless headaches. After we had two planners quit on us, we reached out to her less than a month before the wedding. I can't express how much she helped us with her professionalism, thoughtfulness, and respect. She understood that our wedding was not going to be a conventional one and she was extremely flexible when it came to giving us advice. We don't think our wedding day could have gone any smoother - all of our guests said it was the best wedding they had been to - thanks, Dawn!

    Hire Dawn as your week of wedding planner and you won't regret it!!! Dawn was 100% on top of everything that needed to get done for my wedding, and was never more than an email or phone call away, always getting back to us ASAP and making sure that we had everything we needed, or reminding us of what needed to get done by when. Even though she is a "week of" planner, she was already working closely with us long before that, answering any little questions we had, attending our linens/rental selection with us, and collect/reviewed our vendor contracts. On the day of the wedding, she and her assistant Chris made sure everything went smoothly without a hitch! Even though there were many last minute issues that needed to be dealt with (dinner seating changes, a vendor missing insurance etc), Dawn took care of it behind-the-scenes and always handled situations with calm and ease, so the two of us could enjoy the wedding. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Dawn!

    Dawn was amazing. She kept me on track and made all the trains run on time the day of. I had planned the skeleton of the wedding, but Dawn came in and blew it out of the water. She found an amazing caterer in my budget and made the day run smoothly. Couldn't recommend her enough.

    Dawn was absolutely wonderful!! From the outset she was organized, conscientious, and such a pleasure to work with. As a full-time doctoral student I wouldn't have been able to have the amazing wedding that we had without her. She helped us find the best venues within our price range, revised all of the contracts, and maintained communication with all our vendors and with us throughout the entire process. Furthermore, she has a wonderful eye for detail and helped add the best finishing touches to our wedding! She is the best and I'm going to miss working with her! Our wedding was a huge success and we couldn't have done it without Dawn!

    Dawn is very patient, diligent, collaborative, creative, and a true pleasure to work with. We were open to her guidance and suggestions, but never felt forced to make a decision we were not comfortable with. Dawn makes it easy to have candid communication. I would encourage future couples to be direct and open minded about the process. Having her on board really helped us stay on track and get things done on time or ahead of schedule. From major decisions like picking venues, to the smallest details like picking linens, her experience and research saved us lots of time; which allowed us to make well informed decisions quickly. She provided tremendous value and I am not sure how we would have planned this special day with out her. Dawn is very passionate about her work, and it is exemplified through her professionalism and service. I am confident you will not be disappointed in working with her.

    I cannot speak highly enough of Dawn at Skylar Arden Events and Design! She planned and designed my baby shower and everything was absolutely beautiful! From the invitations, to the favors and the decor, no detail was left unnoticed. The hand drawn illustrations incorporated into everything really made the shower unique, and perfectly captured the spirit of the travel theme I had chosen for the baby room. The dessert table was curated with flowers, antique suitcases and a vintage globe. When the shower was over I saved all of the illustrations and details to put in the baby's scrap book because it was just too beautiful not to keep!

    Working with Dawn is an absoulte pleasure and you will find that her creative spin and vision will make your event beyond special!

    Dawn was so attentive to every detail of my baby shower. She designed the invites, the favors and a backdrop all loosely based on "Mommy to Bee." She created a beautiful backdrop. I kept it and hung it on my daughter's wall. She is now a year and a half and it looks like it was made yesterday. Every detail was on point and designed with impeccable care.

    There is not enough I can say about Dawn and how grateful we are to have found her! We rented a summer camp venue and had pretty much DIYed everything up until the month and a half before the wedding. From our first call I knew we were in good hands. Dawn was well organized, asked so many questions we hadn't thought of and very quickly put us at ease. She immediately got us on a plan of action and began communicating & coordinating all of our vendors and tie lots of details that were becoming overwhelming for us. Dawn got a "day of" timeline arranged within a week and ensured all our vendors were in agreement and all set for what they needed. Dawn was renamed "Dawn Divine" when she saved us from a near catastrophe when our furniture rental company failed to deliver ALL of our furniture the day before our 200 guest wedding (don't ever hire Boston Rustic Wedding Rentals!). Dawn calmly called me to tell me the horrible news and within hours had negotiated and confirmed to have another company fill in on ALL of our furniture. Just incredibly resourceful and quick. On the day of, Dawn and her assistant were on site timely and worked efficiently all day to make sure everything was running smoothly. Flawless day! From vendor & timeline management to decor arrangement every aspect of our day was perfect. She is amazingly sweet and easy to work with and is the utmost professional with her organization & planning skills. Can't say enough good things about Dawn. We will definitely hire her again for family functions and highly recommend her.
