My Wedding Fairy God Mother!
I don't even know where to begin with Lindsey! I'm a classic over-thinker, worry over every single detail and am generally a hot mess. Even from a few hours away, Lindsey was able to calm my nerves, kept my eye on the prize, and took all of our thoughts and ideas and turned our wedding day into an absolute dream come true. Our wedding was perfection- We were able to just show up, get ready and had the absolute time of our lives without worrying about a single thing- Lindsey and Ashley just took care of every single thing so we were able to enjoy every last second. I swear they can read minds. Everything came together so seamlessly and we absolutely could not have done it without her and her team. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! -

Simply Perfect is an apt name
Simply perfect events were so incredibly essential in making our wedding everything we wanted and more. Before we hired Lindsey, we thought we could handle everything, and now that our wedding is done, I don't know how we would have done it without her. Every detail was taken care of and even though me and my wife had things we were stressed about, Lindsey always made sure it was taken care of and accounted for. She was a vital part of making our wedding simply perfect! -

As the mother of the bride, I can honestly say that we couldn't have had a more beautiful and smoothly run wedding without Lindsey's (and her team's) assistance. Lindsey was available during the whole planning process, offering fantastic suggestions and ideas for vendors and wedding day organization. Although I "bombarded" her with a million and one questions (!), she always responded graciously, and with responses that put my daughter, her fiancé and I at ease. Lindsey was patient while my daughter spent a couple of months "out of wedding planning mode" due to writing her doctoral thesis, and during this time Lindsey never forgot about us, keeping touch just to say she hoped the dissertation was going well. She is extremely sweet and considerate, always focused on the bride and putting her first above all else, making her feel important and special. Lindsey was receptive to the bride's ideas and vision and helped implement these ideas to the best of her ability. She is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects involved in wedding planning, and offered numerous, valuable advice and suggestions. Lindsey's husband who is a pastor, served as a very gentile and considerate officiant. In conclusion, we give Lindsey the highest possible rating, and would not hesitate to recommend her to others! She was invaluable to creating the most lovely wedding possible! -

I can honestly say without Lindsey at simply perfect events, I would not have had a wedding. Growing up, I was never the girl that dreamed of my wedding day. Before my wedding, I wanted to elope. But I’m so thankful that my pigheaded husband insisted on a wedding and that we went with Lindsey to help us make it perfect. It was our dream wedding that I never knew I wanted.
She had her hands full. I had no idea what I wanted. I told her I loved sunflowers and mason jars but didn’t want anything rustic. I had never seen or used Pinterest. And heaven forbid please don’t put blush anywhere in my wedding.
She took what little I was able to give her and turned our backyard wedding into a garden party affair fit for a bride and groom. The table settings were perfectly curated, I can’t believe I just said that. From the linens to the gold flatware I was originally against to the candles and the handmade runner she made my husband and me. (We kept it) everything was stunning. The clear top tent and the vendors she suggested all pulled through beautifully. While she was not able to attend our wedding because she had already been contracted for another (a fact she told us up front), she made sure to FaceTime us to congratulate us!
We weren’t without our fair share of difficulties. The wedding was outside, rain eminent, and remote. And I mean remote. Lindsey handled it all in stride and worked tirelessly to coordinate the vendors and transportation needs of our event. She let me text her at odd hours freaking out and had calls with us to quell our anxiety. Budget for my family was always an issue and I encourage brides to be up front and strict with your budget, because Lindsey is creative and will do her best to work within the budget you give her. She’ll also be honest when she just cannot do it and will have to cut from other places.
Lindsay’s exceed our expectations and planned us a tailored wedding specific to the two of us. We cannot say thank you enough!-

What to say about Lindsey? Lets start with the fact that she's amazing! Where other wedding planners seemed unexcited to work with my vision and tight budget, Lindsey was ecstatic from the start. She went above and beyond to let me have my perfect day and incorporated my many ideas into something cohesive and beautiful. I'm one of those girls that found wedding planning so stressful, but Lindsey made it as stress free as possible, and more importantly fun. Her and her team were never too busy for me no matter the day or time (and even with her newborn!) And always made me feel important and listened to. I can't thank her enough for everything she did, and I'm happy to be able to have turned what could have been a stressful working relationship into an awesome friendship! Picking Simply Perfect Events was simply the best choice for me and my vintage 40s travel themed wedding! -

Lindsey and her team from Simply Perfect Events did an excellent job as my month of Wedding coordinators. Everything went off without a hitch and the planning process was fun and enjoyable with their help. They were able to set up the reception decor quickly and beautifully in a limited amount of time. Lindsey and her team are a pleasure to work with. Lindsey helped me to navigate through some last minute unexpected bumps and kept me from freaking out. She ran our rehearsal for us and had her staff on site for day of coordination. They made sure all of the details that I had requested were taken care of so that I could just enjoy my day and not think of the details. Her staff stayed and made sure our venue was cleaned up and everything returned to the proper parties. This enabled my family and bridal party not to be burdened with the task of setting up or cleaning up at the end of the night. No matter how large or small your wedding is, Simply Perfect Events will make sure you wedding is exactly that. -

When my wife and Lindsey clicked almost immediately in our first conversation, I knew we had found our Planner. Lindsey is wonderful, personally and professionally! She was recommended to us by friends and it was a recommendation we're so happy we pursued. We spoke with several wedding planners when we started the process and were easily most impressed with her friendliness, knowledge, and willingness to be flexible with our needs. We chose a wedding venue about 4 hours away from her home base, but that didn't stop her from meeting us for a day of appointments and a walkthrough on-site. There were also some aspects of the wedding that I knew less about, like how to pick flowers and linens, and it was helpful to have her guidance and expertise. She quickly grasped our vision and helped us make decisions that were in line with what we wanted. In addition to being a great wedding planner, she is also a sweet, friendly, and very likable person. She was easy to get along with and became more of a friend throughout the process. As the wedding got closer, she was in more frequent touch, and she was always willing to respond to questions--big and small. The days leading up to the wedding were much less stressful because of her and her hard work. She worked flawlessly with the venue the day-of, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy our wedding day. If there were any snafus the day of the wedding, I still don't know about them 5 months later! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lindsey and Simply Perfect Events. You will not be disappointed! -

As the Mother of the Bride planning a daughters wedding is ominous at best. There is so much to know and so much to do. It can be a very stressful time, often taking the joy of seeing your baby get married. Mere words cannot describe how very appreciated the services of Simply Perfect Events was! Every little detail was planned and executed over and above what I could have expected. The wedding turned out just fabulous, absolutely perfect! Having Simply Perfect Events do all the hard work, using their expertise, over-the-top vendors, to coordinate and plan, allowed me to spend time with my little bride, enjoying this wedding instead of being concerned with the million details. To say that Simply Perfect Events made my wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens simply perfect would be an understatement. During our intitial meeting it was clear that Lindsay had so much experience. She offered her expert advice and made me feel like my wants and needs would be met and that my wedding would be unique! The day of the wedding ran smoothly thanks to Marcia and Kim! They kept us on schedule effortlessly and literally every time I would suddenly say "I need..." they would be walking towards me with exactly was I was about to say I needed! Simply Perfect Events did an outstanding job with my daughter’s wedding at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. Marcia and Kim were our day of coordinators and helped execute a beautiful stress free day. They took care of so many more things than I expected, they made sure the ceremony and reception spaces were flawless, they kept the event timeline moving, they handled some minor crises, and then made our exit easy, making sure everything was collected and transported to our vehicles. Their attention to detail paired with a calm and helpful demeanor made for an excellent experience. Lindsey’s advice in advance of our special day was invaluable, her insight and suggestions were so helpful, and made the day simply perfect. How do I even put into words and into one review how AMAZING this team is?! I have never in my life been a planner so Lindsey and the dream team made up for that. Lindsey went above and beyond with every single detail down to the hand made runners that never exsisted other than in our minds and made it work flawlessly from yards of fabric. The energy she brought to my big day was everything that I needed to keep me grounded and stress free. I can't even believe how seemless everything went with her expertise and imagination. She even rearranged 160 ceremony chairs 10 minutes before the wedding bc my venue dropped the ball! This dream team makes magic happen!!! Lindsey was on board from the moment my daughter called her through the day of the wedding, gave her all, met us several times, lent us her husband as the officiant, made many great recommendations, and kept us on track even when we weren't aware she was doing so! Lindsey did a fantastic job. Actual quote from the evening "This truly was a simply perfect evening" - Bride. SPE was prompt, efficient, valuable, and really made the process a breeze! I had a budget and SPE helped me stick to it and realize what was important and what we could pass on. SPE helped narrow the field of vendors (which is massive) and make a normally stressful process very laid back. The day of the wedding I didn't worry about a thing. SPE was on it, dealing with things that I did not even know needed to be dealt with. In all, Lindsey did such an amazing job that one of my co-workers who attended the wedding inquired about her services and has since hired her as well. Lindsey doesn't make you feel like just another customer. Lindsey makes you feel like you're her ONLY customer, regardless of budget size. I would 100% recommend Lindsey to others, as I already have. I don't recommend any products or services in which I don't fully believe, but Lindsey and Simply Perfect Events deserve all the praise I can offer. -

I can remember my first call to Lindsey, the amazing woman running the SPE operation, and I knew right away that we were a great match for the planning process for my husband and I’s wedding! My husband was gone for most of the planning period so I gravitated toward Lindsey to shoot ideas back and forth with and she was so kind and open to any discussion I brought to her! She is generous, professional, detail oriented, patient, and understanding. She is quick to assess a situation and know what needs to be done and will get things done promptly and with ease. Lindsey and her team did a fantastic job in coordinating our daughter's marriage. We find Lindsey enthusiastic, energetic,pleasant and friendly person. We felt very comfortable from the day we hired her and our stress level gone down with her active involvement in finding different vendors,negotiating and finalizing contracts. We find her very responsive to our needs and our budget. Always with a smile, her planning and coordinating skills are amazing. Lindsey and her team are the greatest!
My husband and I live in Colorado, but we were planning a Richmond wedding. I figured wedding planning is hard enough, so for a long distance event, we decided to hire Lindsey to help with the entire process. This was one of the best decisions that we made.
Since we were half a continent away, we did not have a lot of time to pick over tons of vendors. One of the best perks of getting Lindsey is that you get all of her great connections. Lindsey set us up with a few high quality vendors and let us choose from the best. We loved our venue, catering team, DJ, our photographers and everything she set up for us.
One of the more striking things about working with Lindsey, is that she really listens and tries to showcase the couple she is working with. She adapted easily to our personal styles, kept us on task and never seemed flustered.
The greatest testament to her work and creativity is all the comments we received from our guests. We cannot tell you how many times we heard, "this was exactly you." There was nothing generic or forced about that day. Lindsey really took all of our jumbled ideas of what we wanted for our wedding and created a truly special moment in our lives.
I HIGHLY recommend Lindsey Hocker and her team at Simply Perfect Events. Hard to put a price tag on the expertise she provides. -

Lindsey is simply the best. From the second we called her for an interview until the last "Is there anything else I can do for you", Lindsey was amazing. Her guidance with planning, design, vendor picks, contracts and management, and day of coordination made my daughter's wedding a dream come true. She successfully managed our out of town wedding in Charlottesville, with Lauren, and vendors ranging from Virginia Beach to New York City and always with a smile. Lindsey's team at Simply Perfect Events is pure gold! My wife and I connected very well with Lindsey from our first meeting. She immediately grabbed ahold of our vision and started working to ensure it came to life spectacularly. Here's an analogy: as the bride and groom, we were the architects with a very specific vision, while Simple Perfect Events provided the engineering and structural support to ensure a flawless execution on our wedding day. Our wedding reception was at the Chrysler Museum of Art, which with all of its beauty and glamour comes with understandable regulations to protect its assets. We also had a Filipino-American wedding with all of the fun and unique cultural traditions. We didn't have live music or dj - we had both! We had 9 groomsmen and 8 bridesmaids. All the other trimmings too. Sound like a tough wedding to pull off? Not for SPE. Lindsey and her team absolutely hit a home run. Anytime you're dealing with so many vendors, issues are gonna pop up... Lindsey minimalized them so we didn't even know they existed (I should also mention how well-connected she is - that's important). She is a doll to talk with backstage, but when the curtain goes up she is all business and knows how to produce.. and that is what every great production needs, wedding or otherwise. We cannot thank her enough for understanding our vision, understanding us, and bringing it all to life. -

Lindsey and her team did a great job with the wedding coordination and even handled behind the scenes negotiations with several of our vendors which took away a lot of the stress from me. I was impressed with their ability to take on a large scale Indian wedding and how knowledgeable they were about the little details that go into an Indian wedding. Highly recommend! -

Lindsey and her team were hands down the greatest asset to our wedding. I simply could not say enough about her exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, extreme responsiveness and flexibility, and the quality of her work. She is truly a master at all things wedding from decor and details to contract negotiation and people organization. I had a fairly large wedding in terms of vendors coming from all different locations in the state of Virginia and SPE coordinated everyone so perfectly that our wedding day (and everyday leading up to it) was smooth and easy. Any hiccup was handled quickly and I trusted Lindsey with any wedding decision she made. If you're debating on getting a wedding planner, it's the single best decision I ever made. The money we ended up saving through her knowledge of the industry and specific vendors was well worth every penny and she truly gave my husband and I the best day of our lives! -

From the Bride-
Simply Perfect Events was the right fit for us. Initially we didn't want a wedding coordinator, but as the wedding got closer we knew we needed help tying up the loose ends.
We met with a few vendors looking for a “day of” coordinator but didn't click with any until we met Lindsey. She explained that she and her team would be involved the whole month leading up to the wedding. She made us feel at ease and we ended up booking her. She and her team got right to work helping us tighten up our event. We felt more confident of our decision after hearing her praises from the vendors we had already booked.
We had a pre ceremony cocktail time for our guests, a ceremony, and a cocktail style reception (no assigned seating and plenty of mingling). I thought that we had such a simple event and it would go off without a hitch… Sure enough, things started to go off course and stress started to creep in. Lindsey and her staff kept calm and advised clearly on what needed to be done.
We seriously couldn’t imagine having to put out those small fires without Lindsey. It would've taken away from the time and experience we spent with friends and family.
She was a calm, bright, and friendly face, on what could’ve been a very stressful day.

In addition to all of the things my wife listed, Lindsey's help was greatly appreciated at the end of the event. She facilitated breaking down the venue and made sure our stuff (decorations, extra food, random purse, top layer of cake, etc…) was at our hotel waiting for us. Closing down our wedding and cleaning up after ourselves was the last thing we were thinking about, and we didn't want to burden our guests (the sober ones) with the task. Lindsey is a fabulous wedding planner and such a sweet person. The Simply Perfect Events team made my dream wedding a realty this past weekend. Lindsey is an incredibly hard worker who loves what she does. As soon as I met her I knew she totally understood the vision I had for my big day. She went above & beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Because of her, so much stress was taken off me during the whole planning process. She came to my house to pick up champagne flutes to take them to be engraved, she dealt with vendors for me, delivered a few checks to vendors for me, as well as several other tasks that she took on even though she probably didn't have to. Not only on the day of my wedding but the entire WEEK before she did not let me do a thing! She was extra careful that my family and I did not have to worry that week, made sure that we were just enjoying the moment and were not stressed about a thing. Weddings are incredibly expensive and without a doubt, THIS WAS THE BEST MONEY WE SPENT! She truly exceeded my expectations as well as all of my guests. I am still getting calls & texts about how amazing the evening was and how much everybody enjoyed themselves. I also had several bridesmaids say to me afterwards, "I found my wedding planner!" I could write a novel on why you should work with Lindsey and her team at Simply Perfect Events, but allow me to discuss three topics very near and dear to my heart. Our budget, our time and our ability to enjoy our wedding and the wedding process.
Budget. Simply Perfect Events not only kept us on budget, but consistently offered creative and brilliant alternatives to save money during the process!
Time. Let's be honest here, if you need a vendor, you will quickly find there are hundreds of options! After discussing our vision, Lindsey was able to provide us with 4-6 vendors (per item, photography, venue, etc.) that she recommended based on our wedding and budget.
Sanity. I am a very organize, type A personality. I have lists for my lists. It doesn't matter who you are or how you handle situations, nothing can prepare you for a wedding. . I didn't feel like I had to remember anything or be distracted because Lindsey was always two steps ahead of me. She has this flawless efficiency where she is there when you need her without overwhelming or smothering you.
I would also like to comment on Lindsey's professionalism. She is reliable, hard-working, smart, dynamic and has excellent taste in fashion! I would never want to plan another event without Lindsey by my side. Her creative eye took my ideas and made them more beautiful than I could ever imagine.
My favorite compliment about our wedding was "That was so you and Steve". Simply Perfect Events didn't give us a cookie cutter wedding, they really listened to us and helped us make our wedding our own.

I used Lindsey for my wedding this June and she was amazing! She went with me to vendor meetings, met with me in person, and answered my constant emails and texts. She was a great source of knowledge and ideas and very helpful when my budget didn't quite match the vision in my head. On my wedding day when my caterer left early without completing their cleaning, she called in back-up help and made sure everything went smoothly and I wasn't charged for anything by the rental people. On top of all this she is such a sweetheart and just hanging out with her is a joy, I definitely recommend her!!! -

I hired Lindsey as a "day of coordinator," but she ended up being so much more! She helped me throughout the year plan the wedding of my dreams. She responded to my emails and texts quickly and with great advice.
Lindsey helped me visualize my winter wedding. She's an incredible creative mind and she gave me amazing suggestions to add that extra special touch to my wedding.
My husband and I are eternally grateful for all of her hard work on our wedding day of December 15th, 2013. We had a Noon ceremony and Lindsey and Lauren started working early to make sure everything was and looked perfect. They allowed Neal and me to just enjoy the day with no stress at all. It was wonderful!

The best decision we made was to hire a wedding coordinator... we just happened to get incredibly lucky to meet and work with Lindsey throughout the process of planning our wedding! Simply Perfect Events and Lindsey were recommend to us by our photographer/friend and as soon as I contacted Lindsey we were on the phone chatting about my husband and I and what our vision was for our big day. I knew immediately (my husband said I was giddy on the phone talking to her) that Lindsey was the gal for us. She put up with my emails, texts, phone calls, facebook messages, etc. for 8 months while we were planning our wedding and did it with excitement and joy. Lauren’s calm demeanor and organizational skills were a big reason why I was at ease during the day. She coordinated the set-up at the church, the food at the salon, and general details during the rehearsal. Lauren with Simply Perfect Events in Charlottesville was my coordinator for my wedding at my husbands family farm in Disputanta, VA. Lauren and I worked closely for 6 months leading up to the wedding on the decor, timeline, day of planning. She and her husband even made my wooden box centerpieces! Her price was very fair and reasonable, and she went above and beyond the call of duty. She calmed all my anxieties and made me at ease on my wedding day. Our Pastor was over an hour late to arrive because of traffic but because she had the caterers bring the drinks and food down to the guests, noone even noticed! She even asked our DJ to stay later so the guests could enjoy more dancing. It was a "Simply Perfect" day!! -

Lindsey and her staff made our wedding truly stress free and absolutely beautiful. Leading up to our wedding, Lindsey definitely kept me on track and was on top of everything that needed to be taken care of. Many of the other vendors that I chose had also worked with Lindsey in the past and loved her, which made things extremely easy. I moved out of town about 5 months before my wedding took place, which without Lindsey, would have been nerve-racking. Since I knew Lindsey was there, I knew that even without be physically being there, everything would be just fine.
In the days leading up to the wedding, when most people would have been under a lot of stress, I was completely relaxed because I knew everything was done. Every delivery to the church and the reception venue was taken care of and coordinated before I even had to worry about it. Lindsey ensured me that on my wedding day, all I needed to do was enjoy myself- and that's exactly what I did- no stress! She had every detail covered, and both the ceremony at the church and the reception venue were more beautiful than I could have imagined. I cannot count all of the compliments that we received on our wedding and reception- friends and families from both sides were still talking about how gorgeous the rooms looked months after our wedding- and that was all due to Lindsey and her staff. The staff who managed our reception venue contacted me after the wedding to get permission to use the pictures taken at the venue- they said it was the best their venue had ever looked (which was a huge compliment because this staff member also had her reception there).
Everything that needed to be cleaned up or returned was taken care of. All of the items (decorations that belonged to us, extra alcohol, extra food and cake, gifts, etc.) were even returned to my parents’ house that night and were waiting for us when we arrived there the next day. (I give Lindsey extra points for navigating her way through my parent’s dark garage, probably still in her dress, at about 1am to make sure everything was delivered back to us before we got back the next morning- all while we were at the hotel).
To sum it all up, I would highly recommend Simply Perfect Events. Everytime I met with Lindsey it was more like meeting with a friend than a typical wedding planner. Anything that needed to be done was done before I ever had to worry about it, her packages are very reasonably priced, the wedding day ran extremely smooth, my venues were decorated beautifully, and the only thing I had to worry about was having fun, which was no problem at all!

When my mom and I left, we immediately knew she was the girl for us! Throughout the entire process of planning, she kept us on task and on budget. She recommended amazing vendors to us and graciously worked with some vendors we selected ourselves. As the wedding got close, she kept my stress-level to a minimum. She encountered some challenges with our reception venue, but took care of them before I ever even heard about it! On the day of my wedding, I was able to enjoy every moment because I knew everything was being handled so masterfully! When it all came together, it was more amazing than I ever could have dreamed! Where do I begin? I must say Lindsey and her staff are the very BEST! She is extremely creative, personable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. From the very beginning, Lindsey rolled her sleeves up and jumped right into action. She was available to help with every detail and answer all questions (and did I have questions)! I had lots of ideas but wasn't sure of how to bring everything together. Lindsey was able to streamline things for us while having a calming effect. Lindsey has so many contacts within the industry. She has a great reputation and everyone that I spoke with loved working with her. You need it and she knows someone...I mean it. She definitely knows how to take the stress out of a situation. I ended up using vendors she knew for my flowers, cake, linens, catering, and venue. My wedding was very unique. I had lots of small details and Lindsey did a super job making sure everyone did and knew what they were supposed to do. Lindsey had her job cut out for her when my wedding had to be rescheduled last minute. We were supposed to be married on the day that Irene took place. Lindsey worked with all my vendors and made our wedding happen. Within 24 hours we needed another venue, vocalist, setup, and DJ. Lindsey worked her magic and had a venue set up for us with a complimentary dance floor, great vocalist, and floor plan. She even went the extra mile to work out the payment arrangements with my old venue and the new venue. I was extremely nervous the day of the wedding and Lindsey checked on me all day. She kept me assured and up to speed on deliveries, time lines, and she even sent pictures. During the evening, our DJ was not doing exactly what he was supposed to do and Lindsey provided a back up. She was able to call in one of her contacts and they took over. Towards the end of the evening, we had lots of items to take to the car. Lindsey took our key and took care of everything. We were just as happy as we could be. When we got to our hotel room we realized that the caterers forgot our food. Lindsey volunteered to bring it to our hotel....now if that is not service I don't know what is. My entire experience with Simply Perfect was just that. I would recommend her and her staff to any and everyone. Any future events of mine, I will be working with Simply Perfect hands down!!! Thank you so very much :-) -

Words cannot adequately describe the job that Lindsey and her staff did for us!!! Lindsey Hocker knows her craft and was very approachable and extremely professional!! Since my husband and I were both stationed overseas at the time, she was instrumental in guiding us in what can be an overwhelming time. She was very PATIENT and gave us some really creative ideas that made our day special and unique. We ran into a few obstacles with vendors and Lindsey handled it with firmness and professionalism. The day of the wedding, I didnt have to worry about a thing!! She had it all under control and the wedding and reception was AMAZING, CLASSY and POLISHED!! Lindsey is absolutely amazing!! I knew the moment that I met her that I wanted to work with her. She made me feel very relaxed and excited at the same time. I told her my overall look for the event and she had so many ideas it was hard to choose! She has such a creative eye and is very talented at piecing together not only what I had in my head and filled in the gaps, but also showing me her vision and bringing it to life. I have never seen someone put so much thought into every detail and be able to still make me stare in awe at the final product because it was even better than I thought it would be.
I chose the full service package with Simply Perfect and am so glad I did. As every bride knows there are so many details that unless you work in the wedding world you can’t even imagine them all until someone asks you if you have considered them. Lindsey was there every step of the way so I was not caught off guard by any of them. She knows the area and the people and took such a weight off of my shoulders when it came to making final vendor decisions with the recommendations she provided. Even though I chose the full service package, I still had a budget that I wanted to maintain. She had great recommendations for each vendor, which was really important as the amount for individual portions within my budget changed, and I still received great quality and service. I am confident that I can go to Lindsey with any budget and walk away from my event satisfied.
Beyond her creativity and ease to work with I really enjoyed the communication. There were times that my brain was able to slow down and not concentrate solely on the wedding, and she consistently contacted me at least every two weeks when I wasn’t constantly asking her questions just to make sure everything was going smoothly and to keep me in the loop on the next project for the wedding to tackle. Even when I wasn’t thinking about my wedding Lindsey was.
The professionalism of the Simply Perfect team was outstanding. They were so polite and waited on me hand and foot. I appreciated how quickly the team worked on their feet for unexpected situations. Unfortunately, as every bride dreads, there is always something that doesn’t go exactly as planned on the day of because life happens to get in the way. The last thing a bride wants on her wedding is to be worried that every detail did not come out as planned, no matter how big or small, and to my knowledge my wedding went off without a hitch. I am sure my cake could’ve been dropped and I never would have known because of the capability of the team to run a smooth and enjoyable wedding.
I absolutely recommend Lindsey and the Simply Perfect team for any event. The service- before, during and after was above par and I couldn’t image anyone else putting on a more spectacular event. Thank you so much!!

I was planning my wedding from out of town. Lindsey and Megan were able to coordinate seamlessly with my vendors and me through email and telephone. They became my best friends for the planning period of my wedding. I had no idea they had so many clients because they made me feel like I was the only one.
Whenever we needed anything they were there. We had so many things pop up last minute from weather to chairs, that we weren't even aware of until after the wedding. Lindsey and Megan made the day perfect ensuring every vendor was where they needed to be when they needed to be there. They were original with there ideas, friendly with the guests, and completely organized. I couldn't have made it without them.
Their service was priceless and they have many packages that very for each brides need. They treated me as if I paid ten times the rate I did, Never skimping or cutting corners. -

Megan and Lindsey were a real pleasure to work with. The first day my husband, mother and I met with them, we knew it was a perfect team to work with. My mother instantly appreciated the respect and closeness we had developed just after our first meeting when Megan and Lindsey had concluded the initial meet and said goodbye with warm hugs! Megan and Lindsey's wedding planning services were very flexible and the customizable packages they offered was great for us! As a bride that had a very creative and involved mother, we already had most of the details already planned out and we were looking for professional, responsible and organized people to help us execute all the wonderful details that we had already envisioned for my wedding. Although along the way, when I found that I needed help or referrals, Lindsey and Megan pointed us to the right direction. Even though we had everything planned out for the wedding and only needed minimal help from Lindsey and Megan, they still kept in touch and made sure things were on its way and that sense of trust and consideration was greatly appreciated.
The rehearsal and wedding day were the most critical times we needed Megan and Lindsey. Although one was not available during the wedding, they quickly introduced me to another member of their team, Jaime. I was not one of those bride that panicked the moment I found out that one of my planners that I had been working with for all these months was not available the day of the wedding. I had trust in the company and knew that whoever was stepping in place would be all caught up with all the details and would be on track with everyone, and Jaime did exactly that. My parents were a bit hesitant at first will everything we had handed over to Lindsey and Jaime the day of the rehearsal (it was definitely a lot of stuff!) But the moment I walked into the ballrooms when my husband and I were called out for the very first time as husband and wife, my eyes instantly drew to all the details in the room that Simply Perfect Events was able to put together for us. It turned out even better than my husband and mother had expected! I would definately recommend simply perfect events to any bride to be. I called Megan and Lindsey with such short notice to plan my wedding. I was going to be getting married in 3 weeks and had nothing planned. They were so wonderful and helpful and planned my wedding in 3 weeks. The wedding turned out so beautiful. It was better than I imagined it to be due to the time frame in which we had. They relieved so much of my stress. I was in another state and they kept in great contact with me throughout the whole planning. I could never meet with them during the planning because I was from out of state but yet they still fully understood exactly what I wanted and fulfilled it all.They stayed within my budget but yet ensured to fulfill all my requests. It is with great pleasure I recommend Simply Perfect Events. I must say that I was one of those mothers that didnt think I needed wedding planners. My daughter had very specific ideas that didnt fit into any of the formats suggested by the wedding planners I contacted. We thought we could find and contract all the places and vendors ourselves, even though it was going to be a destination wedding. After a consultation, Lindsey and Megan agreed to help me with the things I thought would be needed. I can only say I was totally naïve about the time and coordination that was required to bring the wedding and reception together. It is an exhausting process.
Lindsey and Megan listened to what we wanted and made it happen.
They were always available and went above and beyond my expectations, anticipating problems and ready with solutions. They had good advice and great ideas. They were tireless and always brought positive energy and good humor to our meetings and events. They were masterful coordianting the rehearsal, they brought order out of chaos. They ensured the day of the wedding was relaxed and enjoyable for the wedding party and for me. Everything went off without any hiccups. It was a beautiful wedding on the beach and the reception was stunning. I know for a fact, that Lindsey and Megan were the primary reason my daughters wedding was such a memorable success.

Lindsey did an awesome job giving me ideas, vendor recommendations and day of coordination. The only reason I didn't rate her full five stars for responsiveness was because sometimes she wouldn't respond to emails. I was an out of town bride, and sometimes I would swamp her with questions via email. In hindsight I realize the questions I was asking about details of the wedding wasn't so important, but at the time I wanted to know how many decorative lanterns I should buy, or what she thought of linens, etc. These unanswered emails were months out from the wedding, and didn't ruin my day in any way.
Lindsey reccomended the place we chose as our ceremony and reception venue. It was perfect, and I wouldn't have found it otherwise because I was only looking on here and the knot.com. Lighthouse on the Cove in VA Beach. The restrictions were, well, restrictive, but I got my outdoor ceremony on the water with indoor backup and the indoor reception. She also recommended the best DJ ever, Luke Barton. I didn't hear him before the wedding day, but he was awesome.
The day of the wedding, Lindsey was invaluable. I'm so glad I had her. I didn't have to worry about anything, and my day was perfect. Thanks Lindsey!

Lindsey and and the ladies of Simply Perfect Events are on point. Punctual, reliable, and professional, these girls helped make my big day stress-free. I originally thought I could do everything myself, but Lindsey and Kelly showed me that it wouldn't have been possible without them. They are extremely accommodating as they drove out to my house for our first meeting since they were currently in between offices. Now that is dedication!
Lindsey and Kelly made sure all my vendors were in the know about when and were to arrive, helped orchestrate the flow of my ceremony, and made my reception run as smoothly as possible by keeping to the time line and reassuring me when I had concerns. Simply Perfect Events helped make a potentially bad situation FANTASTIC. When I orginally met with Meghan and Lindsey I was thinking about firing my original wedding planner. I was going to need several new vendors and someone who I felt comfortable and confident working with. These girls were definately the ones for the job. Couple planning a wedding with graduate school, moving to a new state, and firing a wedding planner all BEFORE the wedding and you get a TOTALLY STRESSED OUT BRIDE-TO-BE!! We really enjoyed working with Lindsey and her team! Due to COVID and us moving abroad, we had to change our wedding date twice. Lindsey was very flexible with us and helped us move our date with the vendors without any price increases. The vendors she recommended were also very flexible and willing to work with us and our wedding vision. Don’t let me forget about our day of coordinators! Adrianne and Ashley were incredible! Lindsey and her team made our wedding 'Simply Perfect'!!
Lindsey and Ashley with Simply Perfect Events are AMAZING. They truly made our day run smoothly and made sure everything was taken care of and in its place on the day-of. Our wedding was at a resort, so it was very spread out. They spent the day running around to 3 separate houses collecting all of the decorations and working with our venue coordinator to get everything squared away. They were always happy to come back to our house and help with anything we needed. Lindsey insisted that she would take care of everything so I could just stay at the house and enjoy getting ready with my wedding party. They allowed me to be in the moment for the entire day and not run around stressing about everything. I am pretty 'type A' so it was a different experience allowing someone to completely takeover and make a year of planning become reality. Whenever I asked about any of our wedding items, Lindsey told me exactly where it was, how it was setup, how we would get it, etc. They were always quick to troubleshoot any problems that came up, like my dress bustle tearing basically at the start of the reception. I can't thank Lindsey and her team enough for helping my husband and I actually relax and enjoy our wedding day! HIGHLY recommend them to anyone getting married! -

It was a great pleasure working with Lindsey Hocker and the Simply Perfect Events staff.
We used Simply Perfect Events to coordinate our wedding. From the very beginning, Lindsey was very good about ensuring our needs and concerns were being heard and that she was providing the appropriate resources and guidance during our wedding planning phase. She was also very accessible. I’m the type of person who gets caught up in the details and worries about every little thing, but Lindsey and her team handled my endless questions and concerns very carefully and thoroughly.
It was also great to have her by our side while meeting several of our vendors. I could sense that she is highly respected within the event coordination industry. She is very knowledgeable and has great vision of the bigger picture. I often found myself overwhelmed with several ideas and concepts and she was helpful in pulling it all together to help create the wedding of our dreams. I cannot say enough positive things about the experience I’ve had with Simply Perfect Events.
On our wedding day, Lindsey and Christine flawlessly executed our plan. It was amazing! Philip and I felt like we were guests at our own wedding. The guest enjoyed themselves and everything went on without any issues. I can't thank Lindsey and her team enough. I was an India bride looking for a coordinator to just help for the days of. Lindsey helped me with both my Garba and Wedding day. We had an expected guested count of 550 & 750 respectively. We needed the help! Creating a timeline before the event, calling vendors, helping with last minute changes in vendors, she was great. During the days of the events she was the help we needed to take care of the little things. She helped for vendor coordination, setup, helped us stick to our timeline (we are Indian, so somewhat), she even helped with the large photo session we had after the wedding. She was great! Lindsey Hocker made my wedding turn into everything I wanted and envisioned it would be! I never could have done it on my own... I'm not very good with planning every tiny detail of something, and I really had myself backed into a corner! Lindsey came in to bring EVERYTHING together with less than 6 months until the wedding, I'm talking no dress, no cake, flowers, etc. Lindsey put me in contact with wonderful vendors who had great service and fair prices, and I've got to believe that's an unusual combination. Lindsey can step in and assist no matter what level of help (minor to MAJOR) you need, she is custom-fit to you, and she knows what's she's doing! -

I was referred to Simply Perfect Events by my wedding photographer, and he nor they didn't let me down. Lindsey and her team are "simply" fantastic! They are personable and professional. Lindsey will ensure that all is in order and you and guests are well-attended to, on your Big Day! -

I met Lindsey a good 6 months before my wedding. I found her online, and decided to interview her to see what she could offer. Believe me, I interviewed at least 4 other wedding planners.
She was very nice, and offered some great insight, and seemed to get where I was coming from. I felt comfortable with her, and the price point, so I decided to use Simply Perfect Events' services. In the midst of wedding planning, we had to move from VA to CA. -Which added a bit of stress. But I felt confident knowing she has dealt with other out-of-town brides.
Lindsey and I seemed to hit a small area of lack of communication while I was in CA. At one point, I would call or email about something, and wouldn't hear back. A week or two would go by? I told her on a couple of occasions that it was imperative I get updates to see how things are going. After expressing my frustration, it seemed to get a little better.
We flew into town a few days before the wedding to meet with some vendors. She came to the meeting with our venue, and was about 15 minutes late. That didn't sit well with me. She stated she was in the general area, and was getting gas. I mean, getting gas is fine, but if you have a client-vendor meeting, it's important to be on time.
Other than that, everything else went well. I didn't worry about a thing the day of, and everything was executed without a hitch. I couldn't be more happy with how everything turned out. After we did our send off, Lindsey did tell me that one of our vendors for linens, didn't pull through when it came to my table napkins. It was the wrong color. When this happened, Lindsey quickly called our florist (Bella Flora) and asked if she had the napkins that were SUPPOSED to be there. And sure if enough, Claire (Bella Flora) & Lindsey pulled it off! FLAWLESSLY. *I am soooo glad!* Napkins are crucial when it comes to completing the look of a table.
Kudos to Lindsey and Megan for helping to tie everything together for our special day. Even though I made comments about our lack of communication early on, I will have to say that when it came down to crunch time, she was a great liasion and got it done and reached out to the other vendors just fine. I had absolutely no complaints--the day of. We were taken care of. Not a worry in the world.
To Lindsey & her Simply Perfect Events team: Thanks again for all of your hardwork, and dedication to make sure all went well. I had a great overall experience, and would recommend you to all of my friends and family members.
There are a lot of wedding planners out there. Do your research, and know what you want. Lindsey and her team did great. You don't have to spend a ridiculous amount... Trust me. There are other places where you can spend the $$. :)

I had a wonderful time planning Kim's wedding. There seems to be a little miscommunication about the day I was late for a meeting. I was stuck at the "gate" of the navel base where the reception was to take place, and had to wait for my car to be searched during rush hour traffic. That's what took extra time, (the waiting to be searched) and that was communicated as it was happening:) I certainly do my best to respond to clients requests as soon as possible, however when getting answers from my other vendors, I sometimes have to wait. I'm thrilled that Kim was happy with the overall outcome. She was a stunning bride who had a beautiful and unique wedding and it was an honor to work with her and Jeff. -
