Wedding vision brought to life!

Jessica was very organized, professional and attentive to the details- big and small. All the vendors she recommended were wonderful. My daughter, the bride, said her wedding was exactly what she’d envisioned and hoped it would be! Jessica communicated well and kept us calm and on-track. She also was respectful and mindful of our budget. Her services were worth every penny and more- we highly recommend Serene Occasions!!

Absolutely Amazing!

Jessica and her team were truly essential to making my wedding day as amazing as it was. In addition to planning they also handled my flowers and rentals, each of these turned out beyond my expectations.

Jessica from day 1 of hiring her was beyond helpful in guiding me on the wedding planning process. She effectively communicated expectations and timelines, guided me with her professional expertise, and problem solved extremely effectively. As a bride with very little wedding planning experience I truly could not have done this without her.

I have nothing but complete praises for Jessica and her team! I had several guests and family members tell me how professional, but even more importantly, kind her staff was throughout the event. Many guests stated she’s the best planner they have ever seen which I must agree!

Ultimately, hiring Serene Occasions to plan my wedding was the best choice I could have made.

BEST all around Wedding Planner!

Jessica and her husband are on top of it! Our monthly calls and visits kept me sane in the wedding planning process. She is so knowledgable in so many areas - especially with the Eden Gardens Venue! With a background of design and florals she really helped bring all of my wedding visions together! I love her organization and really trusted her opinions and recommendations in the planning process. It truly felt as if she was a major stakeholder in our wedding and wanted everything to go as perfect as I wanted and not just trying to get a job done. I highly recommend a planner for more than just a day of planner, and Jessica was the perfect one!

An Experience of Friendship and Professionalism

Jessica and the team at Serene Occasions exceeded our expectations from our initial call all the way to the final minute of our perfect wedding day. Jessica's expertise for not only the wedding planning industry but also the 30A area was what set her apart initially. Without a doubt in my mind, we booked our wedding date with Serene Occasions and began the planning process!
Throughout every phone call, Jessica and I were able to accomplish our to do list and found ourselves mostly chatting about life or upcoming pre-wedding festivities. I always felt a thousand percent more confident in our progress as the call came to an end.
Jessica is a great advice giver, a confidant during the stressful parts of planning a wedding, and an amazing friend. When we met 6 months prior to the wedding day, Jessica was reassuring that we were on the right path and instilled a “slow down and enjoy it” mindset within Kyle and I.
The details were set and the wedding weekend quickly approached! At our rehearsal, Jessica was extremely well-versed in getting everyone on the same page! Wedding morning, I received updates from Jessica of the venue as vendors set up and she continued to let us enjoy our day. If something did not go perfectly on our special day, I have no idea about it - even to this day! Professionalism and friendship are the foundation of Serene Occasions. Jessica has an impeccable day-of timeline, preferred vendor list, and amazing online capabilities to help bring your vision to life. She also works extremely well with all vendors, we even brought some vendors in from out of town! Our experience with Serene Occasions was the most exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about Jessica. Sending a huge thank you to Jessica and her team for making our day nothing short of perfection.

Transparent, communicative, wonderful!

Jessica was great - we found her after we booked our venue as a recommendation from the venue's management. When we interviewed with her, we were up front with our situation with a lot of moving parts - we are a military family and although we started this process about a year in advance, we knew a TDY, a move out of state, job changes and other variables were going to be happening during that time and our ability to be physically present would be challenging. Jessica wasn't deterred at all and she was so adaptable and communicative with us through the entire process. On the day of our wedding, everything (I mean EVERYTHING) was taken care of. Because our wedding became a destination wedding last minute (none of our guests, including ourselves because we moved, were local) I voiced that all I wanted to do was show up and have an amazing party. She 10000% delivered.

Serene Occasions: The Best Wedding Planners!

Serene Occasions is fantastic all around! My wedding was in November and we had our initial meeting a little less than a year before. It seemed early but from the start, Jessica and Sean knew exactly what I wanted. They executed my wedding not only perfectly but effortlessly. I remember 6 months before my wedding I started to ask questions and get their opinions on certain things and they knew the answer every time. I wanted something simple, casual and fun and the planning process was SO easy for me— at the time, it felt a bit too easy. Would they remember what flowers I wanted? Do they have the food figured out? Is my wedding day ready? All questions I asked myself because I really did not have to do much! Jessica and Sean truly did it all from planning, picking vendors, showing up for meetings, ceremony details, reception details, etc. I was shocked the day of my wedding. It was BEYOND perfect. Jessica works our heart out. Before I even hired her, she spent two long phone calls with me explaining procedure and options and everything that she does.
She is always lovely to talk with an is the consummate professional. Her vendor list is spot on and proved to be vendors with an elevated level of performance. Honestly, her vendor list alone is a reason to hire her. The relationships that she maintains with these other professionals speaks volumes of what a hard worker and sharp individual she is. She handles every single aspect of the wedding day. And her husband is present as well as an assistant. So you are getting people in every corner to make sure that your day is flawless. Her day-of timeline is impeccable. Simply cannot say enough good things about Jessica and her team. If you are doing a wedding in Carillon or anywhere in 30A, do yourself a favor and book Jessica before anything else!

The Shelton Wedding

Due to the current Covid situation, my husband and I had to quickly change plans from our 250-person wedding in Ohio to an intimate beach ceremony with immediate families in FL. I was overwhelmed by replanning yet another wedding in an unfamiliar location and joined a local Facebook group for guidance. Jessica graciously contacted me after I asked for recommendations for florals and she instantly became my life savor! She took time to hear our story and our dreams for our new wedding. She provided us with rentals, florals, and advice on timeline, which made the day absolutely magical. She took my inspirations and made them a reality. My flower crown and florals were absolutely breathtaking and more than I could have ever imagined! She truly made our day perfect and we are so thankful for her and her family’s time and support throughout the whole weekend. Serene Occasions - a Godsend

Jessica and Sean,

Matt and I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Jessica, you were so much fun to work with. Your experience and knowledge of things to expect and account for; your overall joy for what you do and constant positivity really made it all worth it. We were stumped many times with COVID and potential hurricane, and I felt at ease because I knew (and you reminded me) that everything would turn out perfect. I have people still telling me it was the best wedding they had been to. Thank you for guiding me in the vendors, which you had full knowledge of. You ensured we received our deposit back and that Matt and I were taken of at all times.

From beginning to end, we felt catered to and cared for. Always made sure we had food and a drink, that we were getting enough pictures taken in a certain light, and with family. Our wedding day was one big timeline that really helped Matt and I stay on time as well as when we would have certain dances, cut the cake, and speeches. Everything moved fluidly and charmingly. We are also so grateful for the little surprises you kept from us for the wedding day to make the venue even more sweet. I was told to not acquire a wedding planner because I had time to do it all myself, but I could not have imagined it without you Jessica. I am truly going to miss talking to you and meeting with you from time to time. I began to see you as a friend and that means a lot.

Thank you, it was the best day of our life; and our guests cannot stop talking about it.

Serene Occasions is fantastic!

Planning a wedding from a distance is challenging, but Jessica from Serene Occasions made everything a breeze! I can't count the number of times that my husband and I said to each other during the planning process that hiring Jessica was the best decision that we made - aside from marrying each other! She helped us choose all of our vendors - photographer, cake baker, officiant, DJ, etc. and they were all fabulous. It was like planning a wedding with a friend. I felt like we clicked instantly and that she truly cared as much about our big day as we did. Huge bonus - she does incredibly beautiful floral and event design herself and made our vision come to life while being very sensitive to our budget concerns. On the day of the wedding we woke up to pouring rain and walked in to the venue to find a leaking ceiling - but I didn't even care because I knew Jessica was handling everything and would find a way to make it work - and she did! Everything turned out perfectly thanks to all of her hard work and we couldn't have been happier. Do yourself a favor and have Serene Occasions plan your wedding. Serene Occasions is an Emerald Coast GEM!!

You will not go wrong with Serene Occasions!! My day was perfect and above what I expected! Jessica and her team are absolutely wonderful! The wedding scene in 30A can be overwhelming and confusing. I spoke with several teams including Serene Occasions and knew from the minute I spoke with Jessica, her team was my choice. Immediately, it felt like a partnership and not a business transaction - everything was personalized and never automated or pushy. Her style was truly to give us the wedding we wanted and at the price we wanted. She really got to know us and that guided her recommendations for vendors. Jessica is so thoughtful in her work and really does make the day about the couple. I loved that she set aside time after the ceremony for me and my new husband to sit and enjoy the moment. Her team was amazing and has an incredible work ethic and they blended right in with our guests. We had so many compliments on our wedding and I give full credit to Jessica and her team. Best day of my life thanks to this amazing team!

Jessica and her staff are incredible. If you are getting married, stop right now and get ahold of Jessica with serene occasions!

Working with a wedding planner seemed out of my budget, well, my dream wedding seemed our of my budget really... but, I figured I’d meet with Jessica because what could I lose and maybe she could at least point me in the right direction? So, I met with her and from the moment she sat down I felt at ease. Jessica is so extremely knowledgeable and was so eager to help me plan my special day. From beginning to end, everything was so easy for me thanks to this amazing team. She worked within my budget and gave me every item on my wish list, even the venue I’ve wanted since I was a little girl! ( I couldn’t afford it but she worked her magic and got it within my budget). Jessica does all her own floral design and owns all of her own tables, chairs and benches. Shawn with serene occasions hand makes them and they are so beautiful. They also have all the table clothes, decorations and lighting you could need. When I walked up to my ceremony, it was more beautiful than I could of ever dreamed! I’m telling you, it was incredible!!! Not to mention, this amazing team will be with you every step of the way. Jessica has such a warm personality and such a big heart, when I felt overwhelmed by anything, she quickly stepped in to make sure I was okay.

If you want your dream wedding at a price you can afford, you will work with Jessica. You can’t afford not too! She and her team are the best in the industry!

Jessica is the best!!!! We were looking for our wedding coordinator around Jan. 2018....and she fell through. We found Jessica on a last minute phone call, and she immediately dropped everything to meet with us! ( at our nearest coffee shop) Her energy and commitment to what she does is unparalleled. Needless to say we fell in love with her. She guided us through our way until we got married on May 19th, 2018. Upon looking back at it.... she ALONG with her amazing husband made it flawless! Where do we even begin? To be honest, I can't remember exactly how we found Jessica... but the important part is that we found her! She was built for this industry in the best way possible- she brings so much joy, calm, and love to the planning/coordinating process and is humble and HONEST. She consistently looked for ways that we could save and is truly on your team. Our wedding day brought beautiful weather followed by a wild storm between the ceremony and the reception. At one point, our parents said, "Have you seen Jessica? She's on her hands and knees drying the dance floor off." Every time I turned around, she was helping to bustle my dress, drying off place settings, etc. all the while, smiling and keeping us moving along without worry. Jessica is worth her weight in gold and then some. We were so blessed to have such a wonderful spirit help us with our day- you would be doing yourself a disservice if you went with anyone else.

Jessica and her husband were great!! We used Jessica (Serene Occasions) as our day of coordinator! She did an excellent job with making sure our wedding day was perfect! All of her rental items were set up exactly as we had envisioned! They did a wonderful job making sure everything was ready, on time, and exactly the way we wanted it. They even kept a close eye on the weather and made last minute adjustments to ensure our wedding ceremony and photographs went off without any weather issues!! Jessica also was in charge of my flowers (we didn't use a florist) which was so convenient! She had each and every table at our reception decorated perfectly; she also did an OUTSTANDING job with my bouquet which took my breath away when I saw it!! We can not say enough good things about Serene Occasions. We would definitely recommend then to anyone planning a wedding in the area!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jessica Miller and her husband, Sean. From the very beginning, Jessica was prompt in her responses to ALL of my questions, trust me, there were a lot! I planned my wedding from Dallas, TX and trusted her judgement implicitly. She put me in contact with the BEST vendors, for which I am forever grateful, as I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day.

The day of the wedding was particularly stressful, as most wedding days go, ours was made a tad more considering that is the day that Hurricane Karen decided to rear her ugly head. That morning, Jessica called to say that our original location was flooded (worst news you could imagine on your wedding day!), but despite that, she did have a back up plan, and the back up location turned out to be more beautiful than I ever dreamed. It was picturesque, and beautifully intimate, despite the torrential downpour! Jessica & Sean pulled off nothing short of a miracle! I can't say that I didn't have my doubts (of the outcome of the location and new venue, not the pending wedding/marriage!) as we were on our way to the venue, but I was absolutely blown away by their ingenuity & the sheer elegance they created.

As if that wasn't enough, Jessica & Sean volunteered to recreate our original ceremony layout a few days later so that we could have pictures in the sunlight! It warmed my heart that they would take basically a whole day to create the original vision just for our benefit!

I can without a doubt promise you that whatever your vision might be, Jessica will completely exceed your expectations. Not only are her and Sean incredibly kind and caring, it is evident that they have an immense passion for their occupation and want nothing more than to create a lasting and unique memory for each bride and their families.

Planning a wedding from Pennsylvania was super stressful! However, working with Serene Occasions was the absolute BEST thing I did! I was planning a wedding from Indiana, talk about stressful! I am SO SO glad that I found Jessica at Serene Occasions. She was absolutley wonderful and took care of everything! Our wedding was beautiful ; from our flowers, to the arbor to the sand ceremony, everything was perfect! I could not have done anything without Jessica. She helped us find the perfect photographer, the perfect hair-dresser and make-up artist told us where to get our marriage license, and the perfect officiant! I had to plan a Florida wedding from Indianapolis, with my parents in Kentucky and my fiance in Wisconsin...no easy feat. Jessica with Serene Occasions is fabulous. She was perfect and I cannot say enough good things. Speaking from a very detail-oriented viewpoint- she was spot on. I didn't have to worry about anything, and then when something came up she took care of it or it just all came together anyways. Needed a steamer for the girls' dresses day of- done. Texted her that our musician had trouble with downloading a song and called the groom day of about it - took care of it. Mother of the groom wanted special desserts - Jessica communicated with her and made sure to connect her with our cake lady. There was so much more. She has a great personality, and she gets along with everyone. She knows her stuff, and is very professional. Looking back I probably sent her way too many emails along the way (easy to do), but she was really great about making sure to help me out. Letting me know a great dry cleaners, nail place, etc. Jessica is on point with everything. Our rehearsal went smooth and she made sure to point out to everyone certain things to do or not do. The ceremony was perfect and she hid behind me and carried my train so I wouldn't trip, she got her associate to copy our license during the reception so we could take it on our honeymoon (just in case something happened), she made sure everything was taken care of. You truly get a one of a kind experience with Jessica. You are able to relax and enjoy the day with your family and friends- which is how it should be! I would recommend Jessica to anyone and everyone. I am so glad I took the time to research the coordinators in the area and chose Jessica. She is amazing and I wish I lived in the area so I could meet up with her every once in awhile just to chat. She is that great!!!

Our daughter wanted to marry in Destin, Florida, but we live in Mississippi, so I spent hours on the internet and phone researching venues, caterers, musicians, florists, photographers, and hair and makeup artists. I couldn’t sleep due to worrying about all the wedding details, afraid I would forget something.

My husband finally told me to hire a wedding planner so we spoke to three different ones. One was over the top, too high energy, too overwhelming for us; one was very pleasant but the contract was complex and confusing; and the other was just too expensive.

Then we found Serene Occasions and Jessica Miller. Jessica was a breath of fresh air. She immediately calmed all my fears. She said, “Don’t worry. I’ll take care of everything”. And she did. She had contacts for every kind of vendor. She made arrangements for a cake tasting from Kim’s Cakes. She met with the owner of Bistro Bijoux, the reception site, to decide about wine choices, table arrangements, and every necessary detail. She made the bouquets and boutonnieres for the wedding party and all of the flower arrangements, even extras that we had not asked for. She arranged for the mahogany chairs, tables, and linens. No detail was neglected and it was all absolutely beautiful.

During the wedding and reception she was invisible, yet ever present, making sure every aspect of the evening was perfect. And best of all she was sweet and funny and full of energy and we all feel like we made a new friend.

Jessica was absolutely amazing to work with. She created the perfect evening for us and our guests. Her attention to detail was on point and we were just so taken away by the beautiful work she did. Jessica Miller is hands down the best planner that I could have ever dreamed of! She planned my reception and helped with the wedding, since I had purchased one of those awful wedding packages through another company... so she was not my wedding planner. But she made sure that my wedding went smoothly, although it was not her responsibility. She has the best personality and is so much fun to work with. Jessica (Serene Occasions) was AMAZING. I can not stress enough what a great job she did. It is stressful enough planning a wedding at a distance, but she put all my worries at ease. The decorations and flowers went way above my expectations especially on the budget that I gave her, she worked inside it, and made my wedding look like double of what it cost. She did everything for me with a smile on her face, even help take bobby pins out of my hair at the end of the night. She was on her game from the planning process to the day of, and after. My wedding would not have been amazing without her. If you are thinking about getting a wedding planner....DO! Then get Jessica because she will not let you down.

Jessica was absolutley fantastic to work with! Not only is she professional, courteous, and extremley accomodating, efficient, and thorough, she is a pleasure to be with. I could not have had my ceremony without her...she put it all together and it was seamless! she handled all of my floral requests, seating, and of coruse the set up, and take down of it all. I found her information and website on line and she helped coordinate all of it from out of state (I am in Georgia). I wish everyone was as great at helping as she was.

It was absolutely amazing! I couldn't have imagined how gorgeous it was and believe me, I imagined it many many times! We had custom farmhouse tables and wood signs from More Than Wood that were absolutely stunning. Jessica also took care of our flowers, which were breathtaking! She hooked me up with AMAZING vendors, from Michelle Castle Photography to Make Me Blush Destin to Bake My Day. Every single thing came together like a fairytale. I used Serene Occasions for my weeding on March 30th. And I LOVED every part of my wedding! We had the ceremony at the gulfview beach access the reception over at Draper Lake club house around the pool. I wasnt a bride that had an exact picture of what I wanted for my wedding. I talked with Jessica, told her the things I did want and loved and she created the wedding of my dreams! The colors, the decorations, the lighting, the flowers, the food, everything was perfect! Jessica typed up a schedule for us on the actual wedding days; which made everything go so smoothly.They set up everything and CLEANED after the wedding was over (which that alone made it worth it). I used other vendors that she recommend me. Michelle Castle Photography, Kims Cakes, Pascalli Foods, and Make me Blush makeup. I could not have more pleased with every vendor we used. Go and check out Theweddinghouse.net and check everyone out. They all work together so I knew I could rely on everyone to go through with their word.

You could say I had a "Wedding House Wedding" and I couldnt be happier.

Congratulations to Brides-to-Be!

I honestly loved working with Jessica! If you are having a wedding in the 30-A area, you could not do better than to hire her for your wedding. Not only did she provide exceptional service in everything she did to make our day run smoothly and beautifully, she recommended most of my vendors (as I don't live in the area, and didn't know who to go to for wedding vendors) and her recommendations were spot on. We had an excellent experience with every vendor and Jessica coordinated everything so smoothly that by the day of my wedding there was nothing left for my husband and I to do but relax and enjoy the special day with our family and friends - EXACTLY what a wedding is supposed to be like.

I will admit that there were times early in the planning process that I wished she'd been a little more responsive, but I would truly recommend to other brides to stick it out and take a breath. If your event is still several months away, you really don't need to have every detail nailed down yet (even though super-detail oriented people like me feel like you do!). Jessica was so on top of things and when it came down to that last month before the wedding, she was there for everything I needed - even when I just needed to be calmed down a little bit.

If you want to enjoy your wedding instead of worrying about putting together every detail yourself, a wedding planner is invaluable and Jessica is amazing. Honestly, of all the things we spent our wedding budget on, hiring Jessica was the most important (well, after the dress, of course!). I loved working with her.

Wonderful planning, floral, rental, and decor vendor in 30A!

I am extremely grateful for Jessica and her team at Serene Occasions. She worked with me on a custom planning package, florals, rentals, and decorations. We got together about a year and a 1/2 before my wedding (I think) and we worked together mostly while I was overseas which was quite the challenge. She was very graceful with me and my anxious-bride tendencies. I did want a little more communication throughout the process but in the end, I could not be happier with how my day turned out. She had it under control the whole time and is an expert in the wedding planning field. You have to trust her!

Jessica truly knows the industry, the area, and the vendors to book you with for your wedding in the 30A area. She has an eye for beautiful design regarding florals and decorations and she captured my vision very well. If anything went wrong during my wedding.. that is news to me, because she made everything seem seamless. She knows a TON of the vendors around the area and she has great relationships with them which benefits you as her client. She put together a wonderful timeline for our big day, she handled all of my vendors, and SO much more. I could go on and on!

Serene Occasions is dependable, knowledgable, professional, and creative. I would recommend them for your rentals, decor, floral, and planning needs!

Worth every penny!!

I had a small wedding and initially wasn't even sure I needed a planner. I came to Jessica hesitant and she had so much experience, support and confidence that I ended up hiring her as my day-of coordinator.

I have NO. IDEA. what I would've done without her and her team!! She knocked it out of the park the day of my wedding and was aware of every detail so that me and my family didn't have to be. It truly allowed us to all be present, which is what mattered to me most.

She took care of everything and went beyond with her florals. Highly recommend.

And her value is TOTALLY worth the price!

We used Serene Occasions for wedding planning, vendor selection, design, and rentals. Basically, Jessica did almost everything for us! We were planning a wedding from out of town and I decided right away that we needed help. We made the trip to Florida, met Jessica, and hired her right away. I only made two more trips to Florida to plan the entire wedding. I probably could have gotten away with only one trip to be honest.

The great thing about the process is Jessica will suggest a couple of vendors for you for each thing and then you can decide for yourself. I liked not feeling like I had to use a vendor and that we had options. All of vendors suggested were top notch and it's always good to use vendors that are used to working together...it just makes the whole process go smoother.

Jessica listened to what we wanted and made it happen within our budget. She made our wedding look exactly how we wanted. I honestly wouldn't have changed anything about it, it was classic, elegant, and exactly what we asked for. Our guests loved everything as well. Our entire wedding day went off without a single issue (at least that we knew about).

Jessica has a fantastic eye for design and is very organized but she's also the only person who responds to her emails. Jessica will reach out to you if she needs to but she's not going to call and email you constantly. At first, I had a hard time getting used to that...it was difficult to let go and trust that someone else was making it all happen. However, If you're able to give your ideas and wants to her and don't need constant reassurance that things are happening you'll have a great experience. She did a fantastic job for us.

Serene Occasions is the only wedding planning company you should look for on your special day! Jessica Miller and her husband Sean work tirelessly to provide you with a spectacular day that's thought out all the way down to the smallest detail. You won't find them lounging around on your day, snacking on a granola bar and staring at a clipboard, but rather scurrying about like elves in a workshop making sure all the vendors, djs, and drivers are exactly where they need to be to provide you with the best experience possible. If you're not partial to awesomeness then by all means go with another planner, but if you truly want the most for your money, then get serene occasions to plan for you. Our guests are all coming back to Rosemary beach, in large part due to the perfection they experienced on our wedding day. Thanks to Jessica and Sean, we had an event that couldn't be topped!

Jessica was occasionally difficulty to contact, but she always returned my calls within a few days and was right on point with every concern I voiced, plus she just gave birth to a little girl, so life was a little busy, but she handled the demands wonderfully and as expected! She took my vision and was able to translate it to the most beautiful, special day!! Jessica, her assistant and her husband took care of EVERY little detail and we were able to enjoy the day as it should be! Jessica did our flowers (amazing!- I loved the lace details around the bouquet and the choice of flowers), lighting, linens, decor, drinks- and much, much more, they seriously DO IT ALL!! And she pulled off a sweet surprise for me at the reception-so very giving and thoughtful!! We received so many compliments on how beautiful the wedding was and we are so grateful to have the love and coordination Jessica with Serene Occasions provided!

THE BEST wedding planner ever! She's very personable, flexible, and tasteful.....and really calm and pleasant under pressure.....I highly doubt you can find any better!

Jessica has been a Godsend to say the least because I don't know how I could have planned a destination wedding and have it turned out soooo beautiful! When I was shopping around for a wedding coordinator, I talked to several prospect but she def. made an impression on me (we talked for 1.5 hrs the first time and I didn't even hire her!). She listened very well and had a lot of experience/honest suggestions to share and you could just tell she had a passion for what she does.

I especially liked how she really customized our event based on our vision and budget and I loved her "simple but elegant" philosophy! Non of that cheesy beach wedding stuff! She had good vendor suggestions (even though some seemed a bit out of our budget)...but she worked really well with vendors we found on our own AND she got us a GREAT deal for our videography! She is GREAT at handling last minute issues! The only reason we didn't give this a 5 star is because we would've liked to get the invoice and exact wedding details earlier and get the billing sorted out few wks prior to the event....but, in retrospect, those were minor inconveniences for a wedding that turned out BEAUTIFUL!

EVERYBODY at my wedding LOVED Jessica and her crew....and several ppl told me this was the most beautiful, relaxing wedding they've ever attended. We've got several compliments about what a fun and calm/relaxed bride and groom we were (which Jessica made possible because once we got there, we were prohibited from worrying about ANYTHING:)

We took a big leap of faith with our destination wedding because we didn't see our venue or meet Jessica in person until our wedding weekend. I am a rather controlling bride/person but somehow, Jessica was able to make me feel sooooo comfortable with everything that we trusted her judgment and insight completely....and thankfully, everything turned out even better than we expected. The food was YUMMY!, the scenery and set up BEAUTIFUL, the atmosphere HAPPY...what more can a bride ask for?!

Jessica with Serene Occassions was so great. We gave her our budget and ideas and she created the most beautiful wedding! For the most part, everything was reasonable in pricing. Overall, she does great work and has a great crew working with her. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding :)

Serene Occasions did a fabulous job putting together a wonderful wedding for a bride and groom who lived abroad! I knew the area well but trying to find/pick vendors from overseas was not easy. Everyone Jessica recommended was fantastic. We literally flew in and showed up, she took care of the rest. She isn't the easiest to get on the phone but when you do talk to her you get 100% attention.

Hiring Jessica was the best decision we made. We were planning our wedding from 6 hours away, and it was wonderful to have someone who knew the area and would help the day go smoothly. Jessica was wonderful with answering questions and made the headache of rentals bearable. I mean, she is like a one woman show, she is everywhere you look, and always one step ahead of you. Everything went smoothly on our wedding day, and if it didn't, we sure couldn't tell.
After the whirlwind of our ceremony and back to back to back photos with our photographer, Jessica and her assistant found us a quiet place to be alone for a few moments and brought us a plate full of appetizers and drinks (which is about the only time we got to eat that day), and in the quiet of the moment, mouths full and completely content, we both just looked at each other and said, "Damn, she's good." And that's the best way to describe Jessica. She handles all the details so that you don't have to.

Let me start by saying that Jessica gave me a beautiful, dream wedding! I am very picky and she nailed the design, decor, put me in touch with fabulous vendors (I can't even stress how great my food and photography was), and kept me in budget. She was my saving grace when I had contacted multiple other highly rated wedding planners in the area that scoffed at my budget. They immediately told me I needed a minimum of $50K which was 2 times the budget that I had and refused to work with me. Jessica made it clear she works with brides with all sorts of budgets and wanted to work with me. Jessica, her husband and their team worked seamlessly setting up our venue and making the night beautiful and memorable.

I would love to continue writing a rave review, but my experience wasn't without issues. Jessica took on the challenge of planning my wedding in 3 months- they do this all the time and don't feel the stress of it. First time brides, like myself, DO NOT. I was incredibly stressed out and overwhelmed with all the planning that was my responsibility. Jessica only added to my stress by being late/unresponsive with communications. When booking, she informed us she was going on vacation where she had trouble getting service. What she was not clear on is that her vacation would be a month long and she would not be responding at all to emails or phone calls and rarely answered a direct text. To a bride that is planning a wedding in 3 months, a wedding planner being MIA and non-responsive for a month caused extreme anxiety. Additionally, we experienced logistical problems with the shuttle Jessica said we needed for our reception venue- it was my understanding she would be in constant communication with the shuttle and it would be readily available when needed. It was not. Both sets of families almost missed the introduction at the reception because of the shuttle problems. Overall, I had a beautiful wedding but the road getting there was not easy.

This wedding planner knows the area and some amazing vendors to connect you with. Overall her presentation and decor are above average. She pays attention to detail and aesthetics of the setting for your venue. However, the stress level and attitude as services were rendered...was less than desirable on one of my most memorable days. The only negative comments I heard from my guests concerned this planner's snotty attitude and demeanor...everything else was spot on. This planner appeared stressed and under pressure on my big day- which was a huge let down. There was nothing "Serene" about this Kate Goslin type personality. If you want your guests to feel welcomed and cheerful during your celebration seek another professional. Otherwise, this planner delivered everything promised. She was difficult to get in touch with months prior to my wedding, occasionally she would not respond to my emails/ voice messages. After calling a second time, she was always apologetic and later available to answer questions. She knows her stuff -but who knows what kind of mood you will catch her in!

Worst wedding planner. I had nightmares about her on the day of my wedding weeks after it was over, she was rude to me and to my family/wedding party. We were the most laid back wedding party there could have been, we showed up to the venue 2 hours before she decided to come, to start getting ready, when she finally showed up she was so stressed out and running around trying to get everything down last minute it stressed me out (the bride), so we offered our assistance to help her with anything she needed and she went off on us to stay out of her way. After locking ourselves in the bridal suite so not to get in her way, we passed around the Champagne and waited for the moment to come. Needless to say she should have taken our help when offered, my programs where Never passed out, none of the guests knew where to go, she was still setting up 10 mins. before the ceremony when she should have been done (we didn't have a ton of decorations and the caterer took care of all the dinning area), she also didn't give me a schedule - she didn't know when we should have our first dance, cut the cake, and so forth. You would think having a schedule wouldn't be a big deal but it is when you and your groom are standing around saying what is next? I wish we never hired Serene Occasions, completely unprofessional!
