I can’t recommend Scarlett Weddings enough! I have a very demanding job, and planning a destination wedding started to get overwhelming for me so I brought in Scarlett weddings part way through. Angie and Alejandra went above and beyond every step of the way - bridging the gap between what I already had done and what still needed to happen. My resort was not the easiest to coordinate with at times, but they handled all communication with professionalism and patience, always keeping things on track.
They suggested wonderful vendors, handled countless details I never would have thought of, and were absolute lifesavers when unexpected weather forced us to switch venues the morning of the wedding. I was at absolute peace knowing they had it handled and everything ran smoothly—thanks to their dedication, organization, and calm under pressure.
If you want planners who will have your back no matter what, Scarlett Weddings are the ones to trust. They turned a potentially stressful experience into a truly magical one. -

We had our daughters quinceañera at Dreams Jade in October 2024, Scarlett and her team helped us with all event planing and organization. (I did not stress about anything) Starting with deciding for the perfect hotel for us and our guest, booking hotel for all of our guest and all the organization and decorations for our event. We worked with Alejandra, Michelle and Laura all very professional, and helpful. Us being event coordinators and event decorators they exceeded our expectations. WE LOVED EVERYTHING

I found Scarlett Weddings and Events Design online since I live in US. There are no words to describe the attention we received throughout the process. From day one, we liked Laura, our planner, VERY much. She was very thorough in all she did for our wedding. She was so patient with us from the day we went to visit venues and meet with vendors to the very last day. She is very knowledgeable, experienced and down to earth with an exquisite taste for weddings and design. But above all, her communication style, honesty dedication and passion were outstanding. The night before our wedding my mom and my sister had an accident at the hotel and almost at midnight I contacted Laura (our planner) not knowing at that point if we needed to cancel the wedding. Laura listened and gave me words of encouragement and reassured me that they would make arrangements if needed to support my family needs but also celebrate our special day. Our wedding was magical and spectacular. Everything she promised, the delivered. I have no complaints. We had 98 guests and everyone was very complimentary of the event. Today, a week later, I feel something is missing…and is my conversations with Laura about the wedding. I enjoyed the process very much. Yes, it was a bit stressful at times but in a good way. I really appreciate Scarlett team as they were very thorough and on top of things during the seven hours event and during the presentation stage earlier in the day. Everyone was friendly and they worked really well as a team. I felt I knew them for a long time and they treated me as more than a client. I highly recommend this company!!! -

Had an amazing wedding!!
During the first 6 months of wedding planning, we were not working with Scarlett Design and we planned to have a resort wedding. After reviewing the resort contract, we didn’t feel comfortable having our wedding there. With 9 months left until our date, we reached out to our photographer Alex Rojas to see if he could help connect us with different coordinators and wedding venues. One of them was Scarlett Design. We reached out and had a call with Ale and been working with them up until our wedding in April 2024. Scarlett Design was so helpful with the wedding process when we decided to have our wedding off resort. They understood our priority was selecting a location with our already established date since we were 9 months out. Without Scarlett, I would have not been aware of many vendors including our wedding location. It made the planning process much easier since I live in the States. Ale and Yass were communicative and I felt like I could trust them. We were flexible throughout process and trusted their expertise to have a beautiful and fun wedding.. and it was indeed.

A magical day
This has been the most beautiful experience we have ever had. We had no clue on how to start this planning process, but the team at Scarlett Events really did walk us through every step. Our wedding planner Yassmin really has been one of the sweetest and most caring persons to work with, since the day we met her we knew we could trust her with everything. Yassmin always answered all of our questions and concerns at such a timely manner she always made sure we understood every detail of the planning process. Ok our journey started January 2023 we interviewed several companies and the day that I contacted Scarlet. I met Laura and right away. There was a connection working with her. She became a friend she became family. We had several issues throughout this year with four deaths in our family and she was very understanding, very compassionate, on the day of our event everything was above and beyond my expectations everything was perfect. My heart was filled with joy, and I thank you Laura for your care your understanding and I only pray that one day one of my kids would want to get married and we can once again contact her to use her service. Un sueño hecho realidad / a dream come true
All the team was incredible, their attention to detail, the way the wedding came to reality was extraordinary, but with no doubt, our wedding planner Yassmin Reina has stolen a piece of out hearts. There was no moment she didn’t know what we wanted. Everything was incredible. I can’t explain how happy we are with the outcome of our wedding. I would do everything all over again. Our expectations were surpassed, from the ceremony, to the cocktail, the banquet and the production. We had an amazing party.

Ale & Yas were wonderful to work with. Very knowledgeable and helpful. While our modest budget had to be reworked a few times, we were very happy with the end result. Yas & Ale very professionals and did not let the rain ruin my wedding! They came through when it counted. We had bumps in road with hotel resort reservations - this was by far the worst part of the experience. However, on the day of the wedding, These ladies set up to the challenge and helped us make memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you chicas! Scarlett is highly recommended (especially Yas!) These ladies are on top of their game & you are in good hands.

Even though I hired Alejandra less than a month from the date of my daughter’s wedding, she did an amazing job! Ale took charge immediately and looked over the contracts that we already had in place. She gave us suggestions and made a timeline/itinerary for the wedding day. Since the wedding was a destination wedding I was worried that our vision for the wedding would be lost in translation; but she made sure that everything was clear and what we wanted. Ale met with us at the venue a couple of days before the wedding along with the vendors to make sure that every last detail was worked out. The day of the wedding she was the first to arrive and the last to leave. She is warm and soft spoken literally a gem to work with.Scarlett Event Design's reply:

Ale and Laura were a tremendous help in planning our destination wedding at Saasil Kantenah in Quintana Roo. They helped with everything from vendor selection, hotel block recommendations, and even went out of their way to drive us hours to our food trial months before the wedding to ensure the menu was just right. The vendors they work with were incredible including the florist that blew our guests away. They also had an incredible amount of knowledge about the venue which made the planning process a lot more straightforward. The whole team is wonderful to work with, specifically David who also joined us for the food trial. They provide tremendous value for all of the support they provide both before and during the actual wedding. Thank you Ale and Laura! -

Awesome Connections & Got Things Done!
Scarlett Wedding was recommended through a family member. In times of doubt, Alejandra stepped up and helped me a lot when working with the resort’s Wedding Department, who was very challenging. The Scarlett Wedding team was very nice on the day of, although a little bit more guidance would have been helpful for my guests. A bit more advocacy would have also been helpful since my wedding was a destination wedding and the wedding department thought they could’ve pulled a fast one on me. So I had to take care of a few things things prior to the day of. Regardless, Scarlett worked really hard and I know it was because of them, I had a nice wedding event. The connections this agency has is AMAZING! Everyone was flexible and good to work with. The team was very organized and made sure I had everything I brought myself at the end of the night. Es importante saber comunicar como cliente lo que deseas en tu boda, así como también es importante como wedding planner escuchar lo que tu cliente quiere... Nosotros fuimos muy claros para que nuestra boda fuese funcional con respecto al lugar y también estuvimos abiertos a propuestas en la parte creativa de cada área de la organización del evento... solo recibimos comentarios positivos y muy emotivos de nuestros invitados. Buscar una boda diferente que no sea el mismo lugar, después de una situación de covid es complicado lo más agradable de todo esto es poder tener a una persona que te entienda en todos los aspectos y que claro trabaja en una empresa profesional que se enfoca en experiencias como esta. Una boda diferente en un cenote lo hizo posible Scarlett Wedding junto con Yas y entender realmente lo que buscabamos Cesar y yo fue lo mejor del mundo. The worst experience ever!
We contacted Alejandra by phone and through Wedding Wire, we asked for a quote and it was sent to us without exceeding our budget, so we decided to hire her services.
Unfortunately, we did not feel that we were receiving good service, I list below the things for which we do not recommend Scarlett Wedding & Event Design.
1. Alejandra said that she would send us the moonboard to start working on the wedding and she never sent it, giving excuse after excuse every time we asked for.
2. When we had the two video calls with Alejandra, she seemed like she was doing other things and she wasn't paying attention to us.
3. When receiving DJ options, we realize that the price is higher than the offered by the DJ by making the deal directly with him. Their explanation was that the DJ was offering us a discount because a friend of us knew him, and they asked the DJ to send an email explaining the situation to have "evidence" and not accept that they do charge couples a commission.
4. We asked Alejandra for the necessary documents to be able to get married in Mexico and she did not share them with us.
5. We asked her to contact the Mariachi of our choice, but she ignored it.
6. When we decided to hire the catering proposed by them, we requested the payment details to formalize the contract but Alejandra did not share it; at the end we decided to make the contract directly with this supplier, no third parties involved.
7. From the beginning we clarified the budget we had for the wedding, however with the DJ and Catering options that they sent us, the budget was already exceeded. Not to mention that the flowers, decoration, civil ceremony, photography, etc. were still missing.
8. Alejandra was not kind as we thought and expected, we expected a better advise in which suppliers to hire and a better accompaniment.
9. We expressed our disagreement with David, Alejandra's partner, who said he would work on a proposal and even said that they would introduce us to another Wedding Planner to take over our wedding, but unfortunately we never received that proposal and the other Wedding Planner was never introduced.
Finally we decided to request a refund of our advance payment, as mentioned in the contract: "In the event of non-compliance, the organizer will return the advance to the client", but they refused to refund even after having presented evidences of that.
Even Alejandra called us extortionists. Really??
It is worth mentioning that the only thing they helped us with was to get us in touch with the church and the catering, they sent 2 photographer options and 2 for catering. About the venue, we contacted them directly but made the contract thru Scarlet Event, apart from that that, nothing.
Scarlett Event will say that they have proof that they worked, and they don't have to refund our advance, but we also have proof of all mentioned above.
We don’t care about the money, we only hope that this bad experience will never happen again.Scarlett Event Design's reply:
Dear Xiomara,
When couples choose a wedding planner service, it is usually based on experience, service, attention, and price.
It was for this reason that you decided to sign a wedding planning contract with us on March 11, 2021 for your wedding on October 2 of that same year.
As experts, we have a process where we recommend our clients which vendors and services to choose first, so that the process is synchronous, sequential and practical for them.
Following these steps for the creation of the moon board it is required, from our couples, to send us inspirational photos, this is a creative process that takes between 2 to 3 months, after some selections have been made, as furniture rentals and color palette, which we did not yet have.
During the short period of time that you allowed us to work with you, this was achieved:
• Find the location you loved.
• Set aside and manage documentation in the church for your ceremony.
• Hiring the catering service that we work the most with.
• Choosing the DJ who kept your guests dancing all night.
At Scarlett Event Design we keep the conversation open between our couples and our team of vendors, therefore your contact with them was and still is totally clear and transparent.
At your request, all of the above was accomplished in less than a month. We were ahead of the speed that we normally work with, your wedding was at least 6 months away and despite working exhaustively for you, on April 7 we were informed by you in writing that you wished to cancel the contract.
There was NO breach on the contract on our side, since we provided you with something invaluable, our time, expertise, recommendations and our portfolio of vendors, which we guarantee are trustworthy, punctual and with the best quality / price relation.
We are pleased that even though we were NOT your wedding planners, these recommendations resulted in a service like ours, and together with our vendors made your wedding a success.
We can only apologize for your feelings and we would have loved to had the opportunity to work with you all the way for the organization of your wedding, because we are quite certain that your experience would have been as positive as the other couples we have worked with in almost 8 years.
Finally, thank you for showing us an area of opportunity that was the creation of a format establishing clear and precise times, to prevent this type of misunderstandings in the future. All best.
