We hired SC beauty to do hair & makeup for our professional ballroom dance showcase. Sam & her team were very upfront about having never done any ballroom events, but were up to the challenge! Let me tell you, these ladies did their homework! They did a lot of research and communicated with me many times before the event. Sam and her team were just amazing! Super professional, flexible, friendly and accommodating for allergies. We had over 20 girls getting hair/makeup done and they nailed the schedule. I am Celiac and severe to the point of air and touch - the whole team was able to use gluten free products so there was NO chance of me getting sick on my big day - cant thank Sam + team enough for making me shine and keeping me safe all at the same time!SC Beauty's reply:

Sam was WONDERFUL in every way - from initial contact to the final results on my wedding day. She was quick to respond to any messages, and I felt from the 1st conversation with her that she was the right person for me. She arrived promptly, and proceeded to make me feel at ease and comfortable. Her personality is so vibrant and positive! I wasn’t able to do a trial with her since I live in Dallas and wasn’t able to fit in an extra trip to Austin, but I wasn’t at all concerned. I booked Samantha last minute for my wedding, and I am so glad I did. From day 1 of communication she was reliable, responsive and flexible. We worked together to come up with the perfect bridal look, and she made my mother and MOH look absolutely beautiful all day. She was on time and just helped to make my day run so smoothly. Samantha was absolutely amazing!
I had no idea where to start when it came to hiring HAMU for my wedding, and most companies I chatted with were way too expensive. But then I found Samantha, and she was super responsive, affordable, and did such a great job!
She came to my house for the HAMU trial, listened and implemented all my makeup feedback, and was able to get me a few additional stylists at the last minute. I highly recommend her and her team!SC Beauty's reply:

SC beauty did a fantastic job with my girls and me! For the trial, I had my natural skin color (pale) & she was able to match me perfectly, & made my vision a reality. On my wedding day I had a spray tan & Samantha had no trouble matching my shade! Samantha is consistent in makeup and hair, as well as professionalism. Sam is hands-down the absolute best hair and makeup stylist you could hire for your wedding. She's a grounding presence and is honestly just a lovely person--exactly who you want to spend time with on your big day!
Communicating with her was easy even though WeddingWire sometimes makes it hard--we eventually switched to text message which was easier after a few glitches.
Paying the deposits and final payments was simple via an online portal and she coordinated timing of my bridesmaids with my planner so that part was a breeze!
We did a trial about a month before the wedding based on some pictures I shared. It was exactly what I asked for but ultimately was a bit more glam than I wanted in the end for my Texas fall vineyard wedding. Sam made adjusting things so easy, and my look was absolutely perfect on the final day! She did a gorgeous updo with a silver and gold hair vine I bought, but a number of my bridesmaids had their hair down for the wedding and looked stunning too.
Finally, just a word on Sam herself. I left my veil behind in another city accidentally which we realized a few hours before wedding go-time. Sam was such a beautiful, lovely presence when this could have been really disappointing and stressful. (And honestly, she did such a great job with the hairvine I didn't even need it in the end looking back at photos!)
If you want gorgeous hair and makeup but even moreso a beautiful person to spend your wedding morning with in addition to friends and family, you should hire Sam. We laughed our heads off together and I had the best start to a perfect wedding. :)SC Beauty's reply:

Samantha and her team absolutely made my wedding, honestly my hair was what I was most worried about for the big day and Samantha KILLED it. Samantha was incredible to work with from the moment I met her at my hair and makeup trial. She's personable, professional and extremely good at what she does. It also doesn't hurt that she's extremely sweet and easy to talk to, making time fly by when you're sitting in her chair getting beautified. Her assistants for the day, Justine & Marisa, were also wonderful and did a fantastic job with my bridesmaids. Sam is an amazing artist!
I can’t enough great things about Sam with SC Beauty! I was so lucky to have found her! I initially had a hard time finding someone for hair and makeup that was willing to do a smaller wedding with no bridal party. She was so gracious to work with me and did end up doing 2 more makeup applications for family (which was also fantastic).
I can’t stress enough how important it is to do a trial. I was on the fence about the trial but so glad I did. We changed quite a few things after the trial and on the day of the wedding it was perfect. I felt so beautiful thanks to her. Sam did a fantastic job but she’s also a lovely person. Samantha with SC Beauty was absolutely AMAZING! Some craziness happened and my original hair girl couldn’t do my hair and found Samantha to take over a week before my wedding. It was nerve wrecking since I hadn’t done a trial with her but she absolutely killed it! My hair turned out better than my trial and lasted the whole night. Flexibility and TALENT
Sam is the sweetest person. I met her when she was hired to do makeup for my best friend's wedding when I was a bridesmaid. I knew I needed to hire her for my own! I was scheduled to get married in late March 2020, and we had to reschedule (TWICE), and each time, Sam was so patient and understanding. I knew she would still be there to do my hair and makeup whether it was in 2030 or on the side of the highway.
When the time finally came to get married in March 2022, she was happy to be there. She did hair and makeup services for me and three other women in my party, all for very reasonable prices. She even traveled over an hour to my venue in the hill country.
She was great with communication the whole time, reached out to my party for their payments, and ensured everyone had reasonable expectations for results. She asked thorough questions about skin types, airbrush preferences, inspiration photos, and more. She even provided special guidance when I got my hair cut much shorter than I'd intended, and she assured me she could still make it work!
I will absolutely be hiring her for future HMU needs and would recommend her to anyone!SC Beauty's reply:

Wonderful!
Samantha was amazing to work with; cannot recommend her enough! We somehow only spent a total of 3-4 hours together but she feels like family.
Sam came to my home a few months before the wedding to do a hair trial, where she quickly learned how much hair she'd be working with! She was patient, had me send photos before, listened to me during the appointment, and was easy to talk to the entire time.
On the wedding day, I ended up deciding to go with a slightly different hairstyle than we trialed, but Sam rolled with it. Sam did hair for multiple of my bridesmaids, saving my hair for last, and we realized we only had about 45 minutes until the ceremony time - Sam moved FAST but meticulously, getting my thick hair styled and ready to go. (Sorry about all the sacrificed bobby pins, Sam!)
All the bridesmaids loved her as much as I did, and she got along so well with everyone. Cannot recommend her enough for your big day. -

Samantha was great! I chose her because her prices were very reasonable, and she had showcased actual diversity in her portfolio. I had a very diverse bridal party, so I knew she could handle various complexions and hair textures. She even asked for a selfie of one of the bridesmaids so she could make sure she had the right products with her.
She was also so flexible--one of my bridesmaids couldn't come due to health issues just before the wedding, so she refunded me the price of her services, and then we added another bridesmaid literally the day before, and she was able to come early and get us all done. She's such a pleasure to be with, and I'm so glad I booked her!SC Beauty's reply:

Great experience, beautiful finished product
I am so grateful I picked Samantha to do my wedding HMU! She listened well, was communicative before and during the experience, was fun to have around during the getting ready process, and made my mom and I look great. My makeup stayed all night, and my extensions stayed in for days, which I loved. I had a bit of a wedding crisis pop up right in the middle of my makeup application (my shuttles cancelled one me....nightmare) and she was so kind and helpful while I collected myself and made a Plan B. Samantha left me speechless! I wish I lived in Austin so we could be real life friends! From the first communication to checking in on married life...Samantha is the best! She perfectly captured what I wanted for hair and makeup without even knowing what I wanted myself. She was so flexible when I wanted to go a different direction with my hair the week of my wedding than we did for my trial. I received quotes from about 10 different hair/makeup vendors and Samantha stood out for her personality, love for people, ability to connect with a perfect stranger, and flexibility. She also had the best prices and travel fee by far!! Samantha has felt more like a friend throughout the entire process and still does as we texted today about the honeymoon phase of married life and babies! I wish I had a reason to have my hair and makeup done every month just to get to be around her. She’s the real deal and my day would not have been complete without her!!! Sam did such an amazing job for my wedding day hair and makeup! She was able to absolutely nail a look for every single one of my bridesmaids, myself, my mother, and my mother-in-law. We all had such a wide range of comfort levels with hair and makeup, so it was so great knowing that everyone felt comfortable and loved the way they looked.
I also want to compliment the way Sam works with a group! We spent the day getting ready in a hotel suite and Sam and her assistant fit right in with our group. It didn't feel strange to have someone else with us before the big moments which is something I worried about with getting ready in one room. Sam's style and personality made everyone feel at ease and like we were having a fun girls day; I couldn't have asked for a better fit! -

Sam was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She is super sweet, easy to work with, reliable, and responsive. She did my make-up and hair for our engagement photography session, wedding day trial, and of course day of wedding.
Both Sam and her day of assistant were receptive and really listened to what my girls and I wanted - extremely down to earth and accommodating. She made me look like a Disney princess (as requested), and worked so well with all parties involved.
Definitely recommend and will for sure hire Sam in the future for any other services where my hair and makeup need to be on point.

Oh my goodness where do I begin with how AMAZING Sam was?! First off, she is psychic and knew exactly what I was trying to describe in regards to my wedding up do. Second, she is the sweetest person you will ever meet! I was so happy to have her by my side on my wedding day. She not only made me look and feel beautiful, but she helped calm my nerves when I was scared that the rain wouldn’t stop in time (it did- Whoo hoo!). She not only was very responsive and listened to every little request I had she was extremely proactive she created a schedule for her self and my makeup artist so that they could work together to get us all ready on time. She even kept track of it the day of an made on the spot adjustments to give the makeup artists the extra time she ended up needing. She stayed until I was completely ready and made a couple of last minute touch ups before the ceremony began. She is an uncommonly kind and beautiful person. She is by far the best around on price and quality! *I dont have the pics back from my actual wedding yet so the ones below are from the trial but still look perfect to me. The day of was somehow even better. She is amazingly talented.

Samantha did my hair and makeup. I was so comfortable with her right away and she even gave me a bottle of champagne on my wedding day! She was also really flexible the day of the wedding when a couple of my girls decided they wanted to have their makeup done when they had previously said they weren't doing makeup.
She was also super affordable compared to a bunch of other companies I looked at. Samantha will go above and beyond for you...I highly recommend her! We don't have our professional wedding photos back yet, but I did include a few cell phone pictures from the wedding.SC Beauty's reply:
