Saybrook Point Resort & Marina truly became the wedding venue of our dreams. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how special and full of charm this place is. The views are stunning, the team is attentive, and every single detail felt effortless from start to finish. Abby and Meredith were incredible — they worked flawlessly with our planner, Nicole from Pretty Peony Planning, and together they made everything look seamless.
We booked the guest houses for our wedding parties to get ready, and it was one of the best choices we made. The private, cozy, and beautiful spaces made the morning feel joyful, calm, and personal. It felt like home — but with more space and more luxury. It felt like we were getting ready in a real life dollhouse! Being just steps away from the venue while still having our own space was the perfect way to start the day.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the setting and how flawlessly everything ran. The service was amazing (no one had to wait long for a drink!) and every detail was handled with care. If you’re looking for a picturesque location, exceptional service, delicious food and a team who truly knows how to create a magical wedding experience, Saybrook Point is it. My husband and I married and had our cocktail hour and reception at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina. I couldn’t speak highly enough about how much we enjoyed our experience and loved our wedding here. Meredith and Abbey were incredibly helpful and easy to work with, answering every question and guiding us every step of the way in planning a wedding perfect for us. It is a beautiful space, indoor and out, which made selecting this venue easier not knowing how the weather could be on event day. We lucked out and the weather was gorgeous, so we were able to make use of inside and outside areas. The food is excellent, which was another priority in venue selection. A cherry on top was the inclusion of two nights at the inn for me and my husband the nights before and after our wedding. It was a lovely suite with ample space to prep for the Big Day and relax afterwards. Every member of the staff from events and catering to front desk and restaurant was friendly and attentive. We felt comfortable and confident having such an important occasion at this wonderful venue. I am forever grateful that we chose Saybrook Point for a day we won’t forget!

Although, I didn't end up picking this venue for my wedding due to elderly guests, I absolutely loved the touring experience and the ideas Meredith came up with to accommodate the wedding planning. The professionalism, warmth, flexibility and beautiful property were on point!

Maybe I'll have an anniversary party there in the future.

Abbey and her staff were amazing to work with. There was so much flexibility to be able to make it our own. Food, service, accommodations, cocktail hour options ... everything was perfect. We are so happy we were able to celebrate our day at Saybrook Point!! 10/10!

I will forever be grateful for Saybrook and the staff that was a part of my wedding day in August of 2024. I anticipated the wedding planning to be stressful but Abbey at Saybrook made everything so easy, she was always a step ahead and thought of every single detail to ensure my day was perfect. Abbey was constantly in contact and available for the endless questions I had for her! Day of my wedding she stuck by my side all day and made sure everything went smoothly, going above and beyond in every situation and handled it all gracefully. The staff at Saybrook were top notch and my guests were blown away by their attentiveness to ensure everyone's experience throughout the night was perfect. My wedding day would not have been so perfect if it weren't for Abbey and her amazing team!

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding reception than Saybrook Point. From the beautiful views to exceptional service and outstanding meals, everything was absolutely incredible.

It's not an exaggeration to say that everything about our wedding experience with Saybrook Point was perfect. The venue is gorgeous, the food is phenomenal, and everyone we had the pleasure of working with there was delightful. Our onsite coordinator, Abbey, was incredibly supportive, responsive, and organized throughout the entire planning process. From every interaction I had with her, I knew I could trust her to handle and execute every detail of our vision for the big day, and she did a stellar job. Her assistant, Rebecca, was also a huge help on our wedding day and I'm especially grateful for how she directed my detailed music timing during the ceremony. We adored all of the staff we worked with at Saybrook Point. They made sure that my dad had accessible transportation for all wedding events, handled all of our guests' questions, and ensured that our bridal party was well taken care of throughout the weekend. In particular, we appreciated Chris for being our rock in reception, Vincent for his beautiful warmth and enthusiasm as he cared for our guests, and Jen for going above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I were comfortable throughout our wedding day. I looked at several coastal New England venues in my search for the perfect location, and none of them came close to providing the level of service and attention to detail that Saybrook Point Resort did. I wish I could give Saybrook a thousand stars, and I recommend them as an event venue without reservation. We loved it there so much, in fact, that we plan to return annually for an anniversary weekend getaway. We are so grateful for everything and can't wait to return!

I was a wedding planner for a client who had already booked this venue prior to me coming on. I WAS THRILLED TO WORK WITH THEM! Danielle and JoAnne were respectful, ready to help, and professional the entire time. Jenn the Bridal attendant was on top of the day making sure the couple had what they needed and also communicated about expectations and timeline with me! The Chef and Aaron was so accommodating to the photographers needs and feeding the vendors which was much appreciated. Andrea was a delight at the ice cream bar and is true my so talented!

The transportation vendor booked by the client directly never showed up and the manager of the hotel got their shuttle and did the job on the spot. Talk about saving the day and flexibility! The guest got here safe and efficiently!

At the end of the night we had a few vendors stranded due to no u era and the staff took care of every last one to get them safely to their hotels.

My husband and I got married at Saybrook Point Inn last weekend and the venue was a BIG part of why our special day was so perfect. Danielle Bailey (the wedding coordinator at Saybrook Point) and the rest of the team there was so helpful and attentive to us from the moment we decided to make that our venue. Everything was so organized and our wedding day was flawless at Saybrook Point. It ended up raining and even hailing on our wedding night, and Saybrook Point provided not just one, but TWO backup options for us so I wasn’t even upset in the slightest about the weather. The food was incredible and Saybrook Point set up the most beautiful ceremony and reception for us and our guests. If you love being by the water like my husband and I do, Saybrook Point Inn is the perfect place to get married!! I HIGHLY recommend this venue and you must go look at it if you are engaged!!!! 💙💙

This venue will definitely wow your guests! We had the most beautiful wedding here last week! The facilities and scenery themselves are stunning, but the staff absolutely made it!! Everyone was so extremely kind and accommodating and genuinely made the day even better with their excitement and enthusiasm! Our personal server for the night Jenn was absolutely amazing and sweet, she made sure we ate and always had a fresh drink in hand! Krystal our coordinator was wonderful to work with, very helpful and easy going! We are so happy that we chose the Saybrook point resort for our wedding and I could not imagine a more perfect day! Our entire wedding experience with Saybrook Point Inn was exceptional. We knew that SPI was our venue from the moment we arrived to tour - it is classic, elegant, coastal New England at its finest. Krystal is a true expert, and was very responsive, transparent, and accommodating with my many questions related to rescheduling our date from 08/2020 to 08/2021. She made the entire process as smooth as could be despite the COVID-19 uncertainties, and we appreciate the venue's flexibility in this regard.

Our church ceremony was offsite, but our day was seamless. As our rescheduled date followed Krystal's own wedding, we worked with Danielle the day-of. She was wonderful and communicated with my wedding planner and myself constantly during the day. I would highly recommend booking both the Lighthouse Suite and the Saybrook Room. The guys absolutely loved having the room for the morning getting ready, and I'm so glad I booked the Lighthouse for both Friday and Saturday nights. It was such a unique experience, a dream for bridal party prep, and the pictures are incredible. We also loved the addition of the new pergola and bar space, as did our guests. The Inn and the grounds are meticulously kept, the Lighthouse Gallery is so dreamy and romantic, and the venue does a great job of separating the wedding from the hotel guests.

The food is delicious - it was challenging to pick the menu because all of the options were delicious. We also highly recommend the after party at Fresh Salt and the post-wedding breakfast. The staff and the servers were amazing, and treated us and our parents like royalty. So many of our guests told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever attended. SPI is luxurious and unparalleled - you need to have your wedding here. We had the absolute best day of our lives, and we cannot thank Saybrook Point Inn enough!

Saybrook is the perfect size venue, not too big, but big enough to feel like you are on vacation. Several of our guests stayed overnight. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Everyone at the resort is friendly and accommodating. The wedding coordinator Krystal is wonderful. Responsive and put my mind at ease several times while planning. The food for the wedding (we did stations) was incredible. All of my guests were raving. This place is top notch.

You should absolutely have your wedding at SPI! We were married on May 25, 2019 and we cannot express enough appreciation for SPI making our wedding day perfect. Krystal made the process seamless. Everything was amazing and there was not a single detail overlooked. We had the best time and wish we could do it all over- and we would choose SPI every time! We felt so well taken care of from the minute we arrived. Bonus is the reception ballroom was recently renovated and is gorgeous. Our guests raved about the venue, staff, food, reception hall and beautiful seaside location. You will be SO THRILLED you chose SPI!!

I really can’t say enough good things about Saybrook Point Inn. Krystal is an absolute superstar and the whole staff is absolutely wonderful! I can’t imagine having gotten married anywhere else! From the start of the day to the very end the Saybrook Point Inn and its staff really made the day perfect! There are so many little things they do to make the day special that it would be impossible to list them all in a review, but I do want to highlight a few things.
First, it should be noted that I, the Groom, am writing this review, and I need to shout-out the Saybrook Room. Not a lot of venues have a special place for the groom to prepare and hangout with his groomsmen the day of the wedding before the ceremony. It was great to have a place to shoot some billiards, play some cards, drink and eat before the wedding while the bride/bridesmaids all prepared upstairs.
The outdoor ceremony location is beautiful (The whole place is beautiful tbh), and was everything we were looking for; overlooking the Marina and the perfect size for our wedding (~160 (though we saw it set up for more the day before and it still looked great)). The Reception hall was gorgeous! Plenty of room for a dance floor without any of the table feeling crowded. The Food was out of this world! From the Beef to the Scallops to the Vegan option, we got so many compliments on the food from our guests!
The whole place drips of the casual elegance that has me so in love with the Northern Connecticut coast! The Inn coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors and provided us with a night we’ll never forget! But beyond everything else, the Staff! Every single person we dealt with was polite and excited and willing to bend over backwards to make our day the best it could be. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful to Krystal, her team, and everyone at the Saybrook Point Inn for making our dream wedding into a reality!

Having our reception at Saybrook Point Inn was one of the best decisions we made in the planning process! Krystal made the entire planning process from start to finish so easy, she is extremely organized, responded almost immediately to every email and phone call and countless question we had along the way. She never tried to persuade us with decisions but was extremely helpful when we needed advice or suggestions. We couldn’t have been happier with the Inn and staff the weekend of our wedding! From the moment we arrived to drop off the wedding decor a few days before until they were handing us the top of our cake the next morning, the staff was phenomenal. They treated us and our guests like absolute royalty. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly, polite and professional. The grounds were immaculate and made the weekend so fun! The bridal party loved spending the weekend there, enjoying the pool, Saybrook Room, restaurant and bar and walking around the marina. Our guests raved about how good the food was and mentioned that they felt like the appetizers kept coming and coming during cocktail hour! Matt and I especially loved that our personal servers were at our side with our own whole tray of hot appetizers from the moment we came in from taking pictures. They were attentive throughout the entire reception, we never had to wait for a drink or anything we needed. They also made sure the end of the night was a breeze! Matt and I nor the bridal party had to lift a finger to get everything packed back up. They even went as far as decorating our bed as a surprise when we got back to the bridal suite! If we could give SPI and the staff more than 5 stars we absolutely would, highly recommend!

Saybrook Point Inn was the perfect choice for our wedding! We were able to have a boat entrance for our cocktail hour and I have never felt more cared for in my life! The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Our guests said the food was spectacular and everyone had such an amazing time at our wedding! Thank you!!

Saybrook Point Inn was a perfect venue for the wedding of my dreams! The service was beyond exceptional and exceeded my every hope. They never once told me or my family no to any crazy demand we threw at them. Whatever we asked for they would accommodate, even things we didn’t think to ask! All the staff from bobby and Lito to Jeff and his son and fran and Krystal and Shelby and late night staff were absolutely amazing in helping with anything we could possibly need from cleaning my dress to letting us chance the rain to the last second so we could get married outside!! They were so professional making sure my fience and I did not run into each other on our wedding Morning and always by our side for any comforting we needed during any panic moments of the wedding and willing to just fix it no questions asked like family would. The receptionist when we arrived early had brown hair and she was also right there to make us as comfortable as possible. Our wedding at Saybrook was a dream come true and we have already booked for our anniversary and it has only been 3 days!! We can’t wait to go back!!!

Our wedding at Saybrook Point was beyond all of our expectations! Everything was absolutely perfect- from the staff, venue, food/drinks/etc. The entire day flowed so smoothly, and my husband and I didn't worry about a thing. We were able to drop off all of our decor with her days before the wedding as well - and on our wedding day everything was setup perfectly- it was such a relief to not have to worry about that! Joe was also incredible on the day of- he helped with anything and everything we needed, and was the most attentive

My husband and I fell in love with this venue as soon as we saw it in person. We had the perfect wedding day in July! Krystal, our wedding manager, did an amazing job helping us prepare and plan our details for our wedding. The timing with getting back to us on any questions or concerns we had was impeccable, and that truly showed their commitment. Donna was amazing to work with at the reception and she helped make everything run smoothly. The wait staff was more than helpful and we appreciate all of their hard work on that day! The food (hors d'oeuvres and dinner) was absolutely delicious and enjoyed by all of our guests. Saybrook Point Inn was an amazing venue to have our wedding this past June. Even though it rained (good luck, right?!), the Inn has a great indoor back-up in place and everything flowed seamlessly. Krystal and Donna were amazing on the day of and their expertise was definitely noticed. The Inn is a great venue for the views, the beauty of the Inn itself, the value of the additional vendors they have (definitely check out their raw bar and gelato bar) and the relationships they have with outside vendors like Floral Affair and Creative Cakes by Donna. I love to eat and was thrilled about how many compliments we received about the food; everything prepared by the Inn is delicious. Our day was really special and I think the fact that we had it at the Inn was a big part of that.

Saybrook Point Inn was the most perfect setting for our wedding this past June! Once we stepped foot onto the property, we knew this was the place for us. You are surrounded by beautiful water views and the inn itself has classic New England charm. We spent several afternoons enjoying a cocktail at one of many tables overlooking their marina during the planning process. We chose to have our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant, Fresh Salt, and a farewell brunch the morning after the wedding. We were able to have our "wedding weekend" all on site and in one place, which felt like a mini vacation for us and our guests who chose to stay with us at the Inn. We never once had to leave the Inn which was convenient for us and our families/friends. All of the staff were always so king and welcoming. We initially met with Sara and then went on to work with a few different coordinators through our engagement. Everyone we worked with were all so professional, accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Response times were always so quick which made the planning process so much smoother. Sara absolutely knows her stuff and helped us so much through all of our decision making to help us create our perfect wedding. The weather the day of the wedding was questionable. An afternoon of rain caused us to consider moving the ceremony inside. Everyone was willing to wait until the last possible minute, hours before the start time, to make the call. Luckily they did because sure enough the sun came out and we were able to have our wedding outside at their beautiful Compass Rose ceremony site. Our guests raved about how beautiful the ceremony & cocktail hour were, the delicious food, and ambiance through the entire day. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure the Bride and Groom are well taken care of the entire night so you can just enjoy every second of the day. We have already planned a trip back for our anniversary and we are so excited to return to this beautiful place!

The Inn was amazing. Everything moved forward smoothly and without any issue. We were so pleased and are very appreciative of the professionalism of everyone there.

The venue itself is gorgeous- staff professional, understanding, creative and very dedicated to making you have the best wedding experience. Only one wedding is scheduled per evening- which makes the experience very personalized.
Recommend couple upgrading to stay in the lighthouse for their honeymoon night. It is away by itself at the far end of a dock.
The experience itself was amazing - staff was accommodating to the bride and groom as well as every single guest, whether they stayed overnight or not. The consults we had for the wedding day were very professional - even cleaned my daughter's train on hands and knees before the ceremony (train had gotten a little dirty from the First look photos on a dock).
Guests were totally impressed that everything ran on time; the food was delicious; service for all guests was very prompt during dinner.
Two cautions: First, Although gorgeous and comfortable, the hotel rooms are for guests are very expensive during summer months (>$300.00/night) but the location is well worth it!
Second, you cannot not bring any of your own liquor or food to use - such as for luncheons. However, their wraps for the getting ready day were delicious; as was the food selected for the after party in the bar.

What a perfect day we had, and everyone was so accommodating. If you choose Saybrook for your special day ...you won't be disappointed ! Friends and family are still telling us that "it was the best wedding they've ever been to!" Food, all the waiters and waitresses , along with Sarah, Valerie and Ellen were all great.

My husband and I just got back from our "mini-moon" at Saybrook Point Inn-we went away for a long weekend after the wedding since we're not going on our official honeymoon for a few months. We were so happy with everything about the Inn-our room was very comfortable and had its own fireplace and view of the marina, the staff was wonderful, the restaurant on-site is delicious (definitely go for the brunch buffet!) and we had great massages at the spa. The Inn is located on a beautiful spot on the waterfront and we had a great time just walking around the marina and the surrounding area. While we were there there were 3 weddings and it looks like they do a beautiful job with those. We will definitely be coming back for another long weekend.

I knew when we booked this venue it was beautiful but never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how much more amazing it would get. From day one Sara Sheiffele, wedding coordinator and her team were extremely helpful. Their recommendations and advice over the course of the planning process were very helpful. From the minute I stepped out of my car during my wedding weekend I was treated as if I were the only person there. The best part was that my family and guests felt the same way. All you need to know is that the Saybrook Point Inn is amazing! From the moment I visiting and met Sara everything was perfect. The venue is gorgeous, people at my wedding could not stop telling me how much they loved it and how New England it was. I arrived the day before my wedding and got a massage, manicure, and pedicure - the spa was awesome. Everyone is so polite and it really is the most relaxed I could have been starting the wedding weekend. The bellhops are so accommodating, they unloaded many cars worth of wedding stuff and grandparents with a smile on their faces. My bridal suite was beautiful and big enough for my hair stylist and make up artist to get 5 women ready with other visiting and relaxing throughout the day. Thank goodness for Sara and Donna - these women made my wedding day truly perfect. They came to see my in the am to make sure all details were confirmed and checked again with weather updates. They really handled everything you would ever need. They took care of talking with the florist, bakery, band, officiant, and photographers without me asking and knew exactly what I wanted to happen. I live in Washington, DC so dealing with the planning from afar could have been difficult, but not with Sara. She responds to emails and phone calls promptly and allowed me to have the menu and special vegan alterations I wanted without any difficulty. The service at the wedding was also just great, wine was full and many many hors d'oeuvres were passed. We had 2 serves just for my husband and I which was really special. I really could go on and on about how amazing this venue is but I think you will see it if you visit. I will definitely plan to go back to visit often.

Our families were blown away at how attentive and professional the entire SPI staff was, and it truly made our day special. During the entire day of the wedding we did not have to think about one thing when it came to the logistics, the entire staff took care of us and made it so we could actually enjoy ourselves and our guests. Sara was amazing from the first time we met her. She was very patient with all of our questions and was very responsive, especially in the coming weeks/days before the wedding. I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help plan our wedding! The day of, Donna really took care of us with all the details and was so friendly! She was even there the following day at our breakfast and took care of everything there. The location is great, the food is wonderful and the staff is amazing - I couldn't have asked for anything more from our venue! I highly, highly recommend them!

From the moment we stepped onto the Saybrook Point Inn's property we knew this was the wedding venue for us. Beyond it's New England charm & incredible views of the water & marina, the venue had so much to offer. We arranged a tour of the site one morning on a whim. Boy, were we thankful for that "whim"! We were warmly welcomed & accommodated by every staff member on site from the moment we walked through the door even before we made it official. The venue is family-owned so we experienced outstanding, personal service throughout our planning process. We never felt like "just another client". We specifically worked with Ken, Ellen, & Donna on the sales/banquet team who were all absolutely marvelous. Ken was accommodating with our needs & made sure everything in our contract was clear, understood, & to our liking. Ellen took it from there & was with us every step of the planning process. Always prompt to respond, she answered every question & constantly offered solutions & enthusiasm for every detail. Donna made sure the day-of went along without a hitch. As a former corporate event planner, I have worked with many planners but this team is top-notch, seasoned, & dedicated! They make you feel like you're planning your wedding with your friends, not hired professionals.The day of the wedding could not have run any smoother. Everything from the complimentary shuttle to Donna making sure we were able to enjoy our meals at the reception amidst greeting all our guests. They even surprised us with champagne in our room and complimentary SPI glasses for us to take home at the end of the evening. And we must mention the food. Oh the food! It was INCREDIBLE - not your typical banquet food. We truly cannot imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. The entire process was stress-free and fun! We cannot wait to go back to the SPI to celebrate our future anniversaries. It will always have a dear place in our heart.

My review is based on Donna, our wedding coordinator the day of my aunts wedding. Donna was AMAZING!!!! She assured me everything would be set up according to my layout I had giving her for the table center pcs, cake table, and candy buffet. She did a PERFECT JOB! Donna was friendly, outgoing, attentive, and most of all professional. Donna you Rock! She noticed the moment my aunts dress strap broke!! Took her right into the other room and fixed it the best she could. It was such a pleasure meeting and working with you.

This was the most beautiful spot for a wedding! The food was fabulous and my friends are picky. No one had a bad thing to say. The service could not have been better. I was pampered the whole time we were there. My guests were treated wonderfully. The hotel rooms were beautiful with fireplaces and elegant looking bathrooms. Donna and Ellen were the ones working with me. Wonderful women to work with. Whatever I wanted was done with smiles and warmth. I loved them both. One of my guests was late to book a room and didn't get the discount. Ellen was sweet enough to fit it so they could. You can not find better staff, food or location!

I can't say enough good things about the Saybrook Point Inn and Spa. The venue is completely gorgeous, and the location is a complete dream. Sara, the coordinator there, makes the entire experience effortless. I didn't worry about a single thing leading up to our wedding, because I knew everything was in good hands with her. Our wedding day was beautiful, because of Sara, and the rest of the staff. They made my husband and I feel like royalty and family all at the same time. All of our guests are still raving about how beautiful our wedding was, how delicious the food was, and how great the drinks were. It truly was a dream wedding, and we are so very happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Saybrook Point Inn and Spa. I just can't recommend this venue enough. You won't regret having your wedding here!

The Saybrook Point Inn is a wonderful venue for your celebration: an elegant ballroom that can accommodate 200, sophisticated rooms for cocktail hours and of course stunning views of the marina and water. This is the perfect location for a costal CT wedding! Additionally, they offer support for all vendors you might need, making the actual wedding planning a breeze. Sara, especially, goes out of her way to help you make the day as special as possible. I would absolutely recommend Saybrook Point Inn to all!

From the moment my husband and I walked into the Saybrook Point Inn to tour it as a potential venue for our wedding, we knew it was the one for us. The look and feel of the Saybrook Point Inn has that quintessential New England vibe we were looking for. It's set on a beautiful marina and the entire grounds--from the docks, to the restaurant, to the outside patio, the ballroom, etc are classy and stunning. It has a casual elegance that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in the area. Furthermore, the team at Saybrook Point Inn are the absolute best. My husband and I worked with Sara as our wedding manager and I cannot say enough good things about our experience with her. She worked with us for many months and helped us plan every detail. She was patient with all of the questions and left no stone unturned to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. The tasting for couples is such a great experience and gives couples an opportunity to not only taste the food and get a feel for the venue, but you also get to meet florists, cake bakers, lighting specialists, etc. When it came time for our actual wedding, we knew we were in such good hands that we didn't worry about a thing and were able to completely enjoy ourselves. We chose Dean from SPI to be with us throughout the day and provide us with 1 on 1 attention for anything we needed and he was amazing! In addition to Dean, there was a team of individuals who helped make sure everything went seamlessly. There wasn't a single moment where I was checking on anything, looking for a drink, etc. The food was incredible. We had a ton of guests approach us saying it was the absolute best food they had ever had a wedding and I couldn't agree more. Overall, the entire experience with SPI was better than my husband and I could have imagined and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding or event!

The Saybrook Point Inn was an amazing venue. They are professional, responsive and accommodating. The venue is beautiful, the food was amazing and the service was superb! We had an amazing experience at the Saybrook Point Inn. During the wedding, they ensured they day went smoothly. They handled the vendors and took care of our guests. I highly recommend the Saybrook Point Inn. For what you receive, the value is amazing!

I wouldn't be able to say enough about Saybrook Point Inn. From start to finish, Sara was there for every question I had. Even the ones I thought were silly and ridiculous, she answered them fully and promptly.
She was flexible in meeting times, and even accomodating an extra meeting when I got nervous about the set up of the room and linens, and all the unnecessary things brides worry about.
The day of our wedding was with no exaggeration perfect. Donna and Joe made sure myself, my husband or any of our guests didn't have to even ask for anything, because it was already there!! Joe certianly made sure I was able to breathe easy for the first time since my engagment!
The food was amazing, and many of our guests commented that it was some of the best food they ever had at a wedding!

Saybrook Point Inn was incredible! They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best wedding ever! From the delicious food to the amazing wait staff, everything was perfect!

We LOVED the Sayborok Point inn. Sara was our coordinator and she was amazing. we are thrilled for the quality and professionalism and VALUE we received. The location is amazing and the staff made this a dream day. I am so very impressed by the staff. the hotel (rooms, etc.) is five star all the way. SO happy!

In our opinion Saybrook Point Inn and Spa is THE place to get married or have youre reception or both on the CT shoreline. We toured a few venues before chosing this one based on its intimate and beautiful setting. Not to be outdone by the beauty of the place the staff continually wow'd us with their responsivness, attention to detail and ability to help us through all the chaos that wedding planning can be. They were truely all about making our wedding day the most special day that anyone has ever had and we submit that they have succeeded!!! We can not thank them enough for everything they did to accomodate us and they definately provided us with services that were worth much more than what we paid for.

We had our wedding reception at SPI a few weeks ago. We could not have asked or dreamed of a better experience. The place itself is quaint-New England, elegant, yet warm and inviting. The food was incredible! Our guests raved about the amazing and beautiful spread of hors d'oeuvres and the meal and desserts of chocolate covered strawberries and cookies. The staff is second to none. They are gracious, attentive, thorough, and are experts in creating a reception that met all our needs and that went beyond our expectations. On the day, we did not have to think of a thing. The banquet managers were nearby the entire evening and saw our needs before we did. During the father-daughter dance, I wept. When I exited the dance floor, Donna, one of our banquet managers, slipped me a tissue. This type of attention to detail, even with the seemingly smallest of things like a tissue, made our entire evening so special. We felt so well taken care of. Sara, our wedding coordinator, from the moment we met her through the next morning, was there for us. She helped us work within our budget and gave us many options of what we could include in our package. She was always responsive to our emails addressing every question thoroughly. All of the other coordinators we worked with in Sara's absence were super attentive and helpful as well. Everyone on staff was gracious and kind. Our room was gorgeous overlooking the docks and lighthouse. We could not have asked for a better experience and we will never forget it.

A true standout. Sara and her staff were spot on from my first tour to the night of the wedding- punctual, kind, friendly, and gave my family and my guests an experience never to forget. They are true professionals and make you feel like your wedding is the only thing on their minds (although they had a morning wedding and several events the following day!)

We fell in love with Saybrook Point Inn from the minute we arrived for our initial tour and knew this was where we had to have our wedding reception! The staff is extremely attentive and will go above and beyond to make everything perfect... and in fact, our wedding was just that... PERFECT! The setting is picturesque, the food is superb, and the staff is amazing. Family members have already returned to Saybrook Point Inn due to the phenomenal time they had at our wedding! We look forward to visiting Saybrook Point Inn for years to come and will always cherish the memories of our time there.

I can't say enough about my wedding day at the Saybrook Point Inn. People are still raving about how it was the best wedding that they have EVER been too. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny.

Sara Scheiffle and Liz Sullivan, are not just "wedding coordinators" who happen to be employed by the SPI. From the day that I met them, it was obvious that they are true wedding planners, and are obviously passionate about what they do. It was so easy to plan the wedding with them. They made me feel so special...like I was the only one getting married there this year. They were super responsive to my emails and requests. They were really flexible too. I went way under the minimum number of guests required by our contract, and they were very helpful advising me on ways to upgrade the food and beverages, so that I would meet the minimum and get my moneys worth. I wanted to have a family breakfast the next morning, and they allowed me to use that toward my minimum, even though it was a separate event. This was really nice of them. They didn't have to say yes.
The guest rooms were amazing! The front desk staff was very helpful.
The food was UNBELIEVABLE!!! I highly recommend the sea bass.
Perhaps, what I was most impressed with was how well everything came together the day of the wedding. I didn't have to worry about anything. The men who ran the show at the reception were amazing. I am embarrassed that I forgot their names. One of them even helped to bustle my dress! They made sure that things were taken care of so my husband and I could enjoy ourselves and mingle with our guests. When the first course came out, the guy said that after we are done with that course, then to get up and visit with a few tables, particularly people who we don't see all of the time, then when the next course was ready, he would coral us back to our sweetheart table to eat. Yes we actually ate at our wedding...thanks to the English dude who coordinated everything. I had one concern during the wedding about something unimportant but when i mentioned it they were ON IT like I've never seen. The service and food exceeded my expectations, and I already knew it would be very nice. I didn't think that this was possible.
When we went up to our room after hanging at the Fresh Salt bar until 2AM with all of our guests. All of our gifts were placed neatly around the fireplace with champagne, and leftover chocolate covered strawberries from our reception, as well as a cheese and cracker plate, also cocktail hour leftovers. I'm glad they were able to use some of the leftovers. Our cake top was in a box in the fridge too

I highly recommend the Saybrook Point Inn as a wedding venue. I think it is a hidden gem, and WAY better than the other seaside resort/wedding venue down the street in Westbrook. It is NOT a wedding factory, and they will make you feel like a princess

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect from beginning to end!!!! We had a three-day event at the Saybrook Point Inn for our wedding on 7/30/2011. It was so wonderful that we really cannot go into every detail, but we were extremely pleased with our wedding and Liz was great! The food was amazing and the service wonderful. The venue itself was classy yet laid back and that was what we were looking for because we have a lot of kids and young adults in our family and they all had the best time and are still talking about it. We had our wedding reception at Saybrook Point Inn. From the moment we met with Liz Sullivan, we knew that this was the place for us. Liz was amazing from the very first meeting until the day of the wedding. She is accomodating and is very quick to answer any questions. She is extremely organized, and made us feel so at ease and comfortable with the entire process. On the day of the wedding, I truly felt as if I had absolutely nothing to worry about because I knew all of our needs would be taken care of. The service was superb, the food was great, and the facility is beautiful. All of our guests have commented on how great Saybrook Point Inn was and they all noticed how smoothly everything went. I would recommend it to anyone...we had a great wedding and we were able to enjoy every minute of it because of how wonderful the staff is!

From the first time I met with the wedding coordinator Liz Sullivan I knew I was in good hands. She was amazing to work with throughout the whole planning process. She truly made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. She was always quick to respond to my questions and concerns and always had solutions if any problems arose. Along with making the planning process fun and enjoyable; she assisted in making the wedding day go off without a hitch. She made a visit to my room the day of the wedding to let me know the last minute details were taken care of and not to worry. I truly was stress free the day of my wedding thanks to Liz. Donna and all of the other staff the night of the wedding were beyond accommodating. My husband and I could not even ask for anything, it was there waiting for us. All of the guests raved about the food and service as well. I would definitely recommend Saybrook Point Inn to any bride. Not only is the venue breathtaking, the staff is amazing to work with!

Saybrook Point Inn and Spa made our wedding day perfect! Liz and Ellen were so helpful throughout the process, they were so prompt in answering our questions and even gave us some good ideas along the way. The day of everything went so smoothly and Donna and her staff took such care of us! Our every need was attended to to make sure we were happy, we felt so spoiled! Our August 6th, 2010 Wedding was amazing! It is the quintessential, charming, classic "connecticut coastline" wedding you've been looking for!

The staff is out of this world, food is delicious, views are spectacular, the venue is warm, comfortable, inviting, and RELAXING...perfect for the stress of the whole situation. If you're still feeling stressed, the spa there is wonderful!!

Some pluses to consider about this venue:
- Liz Sullivan!!!! You basically have a wedding planner and wedding day coordinator who comes with the place, that is her job, and she is AMAZING at it!! She is one of the main reasons we chose the place, her kindness, help, and understanding makes wedding planning at Old Saybrook a piece of cake! It was the most thorough venue tour we went on after seeing 6 or 7 other places and we were hooked the minute she walked us through the place and really cared about what type of event we wanted.

- It's not a wedding factory! You are treated like royalty the entire time and have someone looking out for you, your groom, and bridal party the entire day!
Many places will say that you can't hear the other music through the walls...but that's usually not the case. At Old Saybrook, YOU are the center of the attention.

- Staff, staff, staff! they helpful from the moment your car pulls up to the minute you leave. Many of my guests stayed, but even the ones who didn't commented on and complimented the staff and how kind and amazing they were. Every time we turned around, someone was there to give us food or a drink!

-The food is Excellent- the appetizers were bountiful, the stations that come with the package were huge, elegant, and delicious. A cake option comes with the venue and you get to select from two wonderful bakers!

I can't say enough about Old Saybrook, they do an amazing job and Liz Sullivan, as well as her right hand man Paul will truly see to it that your day is amazing!!!

Liz and everyone at Old Saybrook helped to keep me stress free and relaxed on the big day. They made sure that I was happy and everything that they did to help me and everyone at the wedding was perfect. I will be using them again in the future for other events.

Our wedding reception at Saybrook Point Inn was outstanding. Everyone (Liz, Ellen, Donna, Katie who waited on us) was so professional. They were there when we needed them but almost invisible when you didn't. Everything ran so smoothly. The food and service was excellent, the room looked gorgeous. Our bridal suite was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better wedding!

I have nothing but good things to share about the Sayrbook Point Inn and Spa. Liz Sullivan is amazing to work with. From picking out my dress to asking for advice on wedding bands, Liz was there to answer my questions and help me make important decisions. When the big day arrived, the hotel promptly gave us a bigger and better room when asked. Nearly everything was perfect except for the weather. Preparing to have the ceremony outdoors until the last minute when it threatened to pour down on us and freeze our guests. We decided it would be best to have the ceremony inside. I didn't even recognize the room after they changed it over for the reception. The food was fantastic, the music thumped and had everyone up on their feet. It was deemed the best wedding ever. I can not thank Saybrook and Liz enough, thanks for a wonderful, fantastic, absolutely perfect wedding day!

My husband and I cannot say enough good things about the Saybrook Point Inn! They were amazing from start to finish, and the level of service was first class- from our wedding coordinator Ellen to the bellman and the servers at the reception- every staff member we interacted with helped to make our special day go off without a single hitch. Saybrook Point Inn was an absolutely stunning location for my outdoor wedding. Although a bit hot in early-August, I would never change the backdrop of boats in a marina for my ceremony location. The indoor reception went off without a hitch and my guests were thrilled with the quality of food and service. Kim, our coordinator, took care of every detail and left me feeling calm, relaxed, and ready for a good time. I highly recommend Saybrook Point Inn for special events.

SPI has an amazing team of consultants and staff to help ensure your day is everything you imagined. They think of everything before you even ask it. They were quick to respond to me during the year prior to my wedding as questions came up and the day of I could not have asked for more top notch service than what was provided to us and our guests. Everyone was floored by the beautiful venue and how amazing the staff was.

Wow. When we were searching for wedding venues, we prioritized good service to be one of our most important criteria. We wanted our guests to be well taken care of and didn't want to leave that up to chance. When we say that Saybrook Point Inn delivered, that is an understatement. There are simply too many exceptional people and examples of going above and beyond to name in a review - they have achieved the rarity of developing a staff-wide culture of doing everything and anything to have everyone have the best, safest, and most pleasant experience possible. ALL of our guests were commenting on it, from small details like remembering individual guests' names to acts of kindness like rushing a late bridesmaid to the ceremony site on a golf cart and bringing dinners up to hotel rooms for adult babysitters, to seamless management of a full day of wedding ceremony coordination, photos, and reception traditions. At the end of the evening, I found all the gifts, centerpieces, and flowers cleanly organised and boxed up in our room, and the cake in our fridge. Simple amazing.

The venue of course was beautiful and very comfortable, and we really enjoyed upgrading to a "bridal" suite and the boys' Saybrook Room. The adjacent bar and restaurant were perfect for post-reception drinks and a beautiful relaxed breakfast in the morning.

High praise also for the food. The best example of critical feedback probably comes from one of our guests who ran a higher-end restaurant for 15 years, stating that it was the best Filet Mignon he had ever had at a wedding reception.

Krystal, Shelby, Donna, and everyone else on the SPI team helped make my wedding day run smoothly. Everyone was extremely attentive. Plus the venue is absolutely beautiful. Communicating with SPI leading up to my wedding day was easy and they always responded to all of my questions very quickly. Overall I would absolutely recommend this venue for a wedding. It is amazing.

Saybrook Point Inn did such a wonderful job for our wedding. They are so on top of everything, that by the time the day of the wedding came and I was lost they were able to direct me at every turn so I didn't need to stress about the order of things, etc. The food was incredible, and the location was beautiful. Sara, the woman I dealt with leading up to the wedding would sometimes answer multiple emails a day with random questions from me. I was so happy we chose this venue :)

We had our wedding at Saybrook Point Inn and it was perfect! It went off without a hitch. Sara our wedding coordinator was extremely helpful and supportive throughout our wedding planning. She made it easy for us to have a fantastic day. The reception hall is beautiful, the guest rooms are beautiful and the food is amazing. We knew we wanted to get married at Saybrook Point Inn the first time we stepped foot in there. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. We cant wait to go back for a weekend stay.

Liz Sullivan is a gem! The service for the wedding ceremony, reception and following morning brunch was perfect. The food was great and the venue was beautiful. The only negative for the entire wedding weekend was the Inn's front desk manager. She was extremely unresponsive to an error they made with our group's hotel reservations. Luckily my guest was flexible because this woman was not. Thank goodness the catering staff and the rest of the Inn's staff was so wonderful, they truly made up for front desk manager's lack of service.

Beautiful venue! The staff were great both before and after our wedding. During the reception, they made sure my husband & I were well taken care of and always had a drink and food in hand. As an out-of-state couple, they were very flexible in working with our schedule. It is a bit pricey, especially if you want a Saturday night, but the food was delicious and you can't beat the location. If you are able, we recommend reserving one of the guesthouses at Saybrook - they are both amazing and fun houses with great added touches!

Also, their preferred vendors are amazing!!! We primarily used vendors from their preferred list and it made the process so easy as the vendors all knew Saybrook's staff and the venue inside and out.

Definitely try to have your service at the Compass Rose. All of our photos came out beautifully and the wall of men that hid me while I walked out created a surprise reveal moment.

The Saybrook Point Inn was a wonderful place to host my wedding. We loved the scenic value it provided to us for our outdoor ceremony, and the day itself was absolutely wonderful. They are professionals and highly responsive to our needs. We stayed there for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier with our accomodations.

We booked the Saybrook Point Inn and Spa for our reception. Meg and Ellen are fabulous to work with and will help you make your wedding vision a reality every step of the way. SPI is all about customer service - they make everyone, from the bride and groom to their family and friends feel welcome and special. The facility and grounds are beautiful and the staff really goes above and beyond to make sure your day is special. While planning the wedding, I never felt that I was being ripped off. Meg and Ellen were very honest about pricing and whether or not certain added on expenses were necessary. For example, the package includes a 4 hour open bar, but the reception is 5 hours. I was ready to pay for the additional hour, but Ellen told us it wouldn't be necessary because wine would be served during the sit-down dinner. I appreciated her insight and honesty.

Saybrook Point Inn is a beautiful location. The staff were super helpful the whole weekend. I can't complain about a thing! It was a great weekend and they went above and beyond to make sure me and my husband were happy and having fun. I can't say enough about how great Liz was to work with from start to finish. Donna the day of was great making sure everything flowed well and that the reception remained on time. Also our two servers were great, we were out on the docks taking pics and they brought us a tray of passed hors d'oeuvres and champagne. It was truly exceptional service all around.

The venue was great, the food was great. The best part was the service. The staff at the Inn is amazing- especially Joe (our waiter). I rated the flexibility a little low only because the reception couldn't go past 11 pm which was a little early for our taste.

Saybrook Point Inn is a fantastic venue for a wedding. No matter what the weather is, the backdrop is spectacular and you are well taken care of by all of their staff.

A beautiful beach-side setting. We loved having the entire venue to ourselves and our guests. The ballroom has a stunning view and we loved using the outdoor patio for our cocktail hour as well as a bar during the reception. I would choose them for my wedding all over again!

Despite the fact that part of our menu was changed (without our consent) or that the alcohol we asked for wasn't made available (Amstel Light... not too outrageous), the staff was really hard working, and did everything they could to help make our wedding day a great one.

Plus, it's such a great location!

This place was great. The staff helped to make the day run smooth, despite the rain. Knowing that we couldn't have the ceremony outside, they moved everything inside. I didn't have to worry about anything. They were one step ahead of my concerns.

Don't get me wrong-I absolutely love the venue and it was the perfect match for my husband and I. I was just a bit disappointed on the details component of my wedding. There was multiple personnel changes which was difficult to deal with throughout the planning process. Also, some of the execution on the day of caused me to get involved, when as a bride that is the last thing you want to deal with. Food and venue are great-things just fell a bit flat with me on the execution level.

Overall I would not change my wedding weekend for anything. The venue is stunning, food is great, and most of the staff is wonderful. Getting ready was a little stressful as we told the coordinator months before that we planned on doing a first look. I wished she had told us that was our job to plan out the details of that. As the coordinator I figured that was her responsibility to make sure people were in place at correct times, therefore we lost 30 minutes of picture taking. The groomsmen and fathers were a bit confused as what to do because there was little guidance on where to be for lining up etc. And as the bride I can't be on the phone coordinating that. If I had been forewarned early I would have appointed someone in my party. Donna, jenn, and fatih were all amazing and cleared up miscommunications. The reception was beautiful.

I did not particularly like that random hotel guests were signing my guest book, jumping in the photo booth, walking across our dance floor, and stealing our cigars and smoking them on the patio. I felt as though after seeing all that that I needed to watch everything.

Venue was beautiful, employees there insulted and degraded my florist I was mortified. Unfortunately wedding planner was switched in the middle of planning wedding and guests at the hotel had better rooms than the bridal suite. 8 girls plus make up 2 artists 4 hairdressers and a lunch were crammed in a room to get ready. The groomsman were not offered a place to get ready other than a bathroom. For the money they charge I was disappointed. Was told someone would call me after wat a surprise NO CALL.
