Shawna was incredible to work with and truly could not have imagined the wedding planning and day without her. From start to finish, she was by our side every step of the way, making the entire planning process feel smooth, exciting, and stress-free.
She is professional, creative, organized, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what stood out most was how genuinely she listened to our vision and brought it to life even better than all of imagined. Shawna was always accessible by phone, text, or in person whenever we had questions or needed guidance, and her calm, reassuring presence made such a difference throughout the entire experience.
Her vendor recommendations were outstanding, and she coordinated every detail seamlessly so that everything flowed perfectly on our wedding day. Because of Shawna, we were truly able to relax, be present, and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. She has an amazing ability to make you feel supported, cared for, and completely confident that everything is in the best hands.

Nothing but great things to say about Shawna and her business! She coordinated our son's wedding in Cancun. Shawna was in contact with the hotel from the beginning setting up appointments for hair, makeup and food tastings for the bride and groom.
She sent agendas daily while we were there keeping everyone updated on events.
Everything ran smoothly. Her attention to detail and professionalism left this mama worry free so I could stay in the moment for this special occasion. Shawna has a sweet smile and disposition, but can round up an unruly group of guys and make them toe the line. I am forever grateful to her for making this wedding one to remember! -

From start to finish, our wedding coordinator and her assistant were impressive beyond measure. Planning support? Seamless. Spray tan services? A literal lifesaver. Full access to her personal wedding décor warehouse at no additional cost? Unreal. She coordinated our rehearsal, handled full venue decorating and take-down, and even made last-minute purchases on the wedding day for items we overlooked or underestimated – all without missing a beat!
She somehow managed to capture sneak-peek photos and videos of our most meaningful moments while simultaneously promoting and supporting our other vendors, carrying and bustling my dress train and veil, and coordinating every moving part behind the scenes to ensure smooth transitions all day long.
At the end of the night, she helped collect all of our personal décor items and gifts and made sure everything was safely secured in our suite, something we didn’t even have to think twice about. The level of multitasking, professionalism, and genuine care she showed is something I still can’t wrap my head around.
Savvy Southern Events is nothing short of a dream come true for a bride. If you’re on the fence, don’t be. Hiring her was hands-down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day.

We absolutely loved working with Shawna from Savvy Southern Events! She was truly amazing from start to finish — attentive, organized, and so thoughtful with every little detail.
Our wedding day went perfectly smooth, and I can confidently say it was because of her. She made sure everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes so we could just enjoy the day stress-free.
Shawna went above and beyond in so many ways — she even ran to the store to grab the bride and groom energy drinks the morning of (lifesaver!) and personally helped bustle my dress after the ceremony. Her calm, can-do attitude and genuine care made all the difference. I can’t recommend her enough to any couple looking for someone who will make their day effortless and unforgettable! -

Lauren was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING. We would recommend them and were the best out of all our vendors! They helped along the way. We didn’t have to worry about any decor and she set everything up for us! We didn’t have to worry about checking in with all our vendors because she did it for us! This was money WELL spent and worth every penny!! -

Savvy Southern Event Planning and Design was such a joy to work with for our recent event! My now husband and I were planning to do a quick destination wedding and then a few short months ago decided to have an actual wedding after all. I was overwhelmed to say the least! Shawna and I met for coffee and within a few minutes she mentioned an event center I’ve never heard of. Within a week we looked and booked it! Meanwhile she gave me the steps and tools to take each step all while keeping me organized which says a lot. I work full time and also travel to race and train and she still made this so doable and we cannot thank her and her team enough. The reminders and quick responses were something I could rely on throughout this whole process- also a bonus was she even does spray tans and had me looking good and feeling good! She was basically
Holding my hand through this entire process. I don’t usually leave reviews unless I feel like I need to warn the world to not use someone but it was opposite for SSE. I want every future bride to do themselves a favor and use them. You end up saving time and money which is opposite of what you think with a planner. Just do it! My daughter & her husband “modern day”eloped last summer . This April we threw them a large “Happily Ever After “ reception.
It was a western chic theme with an eclectic flare . I can ASSURE you it would not have happened without Shawna & her team. LOOK NO FURTHER because I can’t imagine anyone being better . Don’t waste your time trying LOL . She is beyond organized and efficient & quick …& doesn’t cut corners . She took all the ideas we requested and worked to the highest level to make them happen. If we needed to go different directions she has the best resources and connections and creative ideas. Let me reiterate.. She can do ANYTHING. Traditional , modern , wild , intimate, eclectic , large ….. Her attention to detail was beyond my standards and that’s high. My daughter , her mother-in-law (& now my good friend! had so much FUN doing this all together. There was no stress ! If there was any issues , we would all say “ OH Shawna will fix it 😂LOL. We had a very lively group text going at all times . No lack of communication! Let me say she had to deal with my ADD . That can be a challenge . SO …. Friends , I literally could not have been any happier with the way the celebration went . There were minimal hiccups if any & everyone had a BLAST & are still talking about it !! ❤️❤️❤️

Amazing!
Shawna is an absolute legend. My husband and I eloped in August and we hired her to plan/coordinate our big celebration this past weekend. Throughout the months she kept constant contact (but not in an annoying way. Just perfect amount) giving us a break down of when we needed to pay for things, order things, etc. She is the most organized person I have ever met. A must have for an ADD/ADHD person. We could not have done it without her, our party was absolutely spectacular and ran so smooth all night. She has an amazing staff and extremely impressive recommendations on food, florals, and anything else you may need. She literally knows everyone. Even a shoe shiner lol. Her name was recommended to me by over a dozen people for a reason- If you are on the fence about getting a party planner and thinking you can manage it all yourself, DONT. Your life will be 100x easier if you hire Shawna. I got to sleep well knowing everything was going to get taken care of, and am so happy and thankful for her. She has become a great friend to me from this and I highly recommend her for any big or small party you may have. Thank you Shawna for all you did to make for the best party ever! -

Shawna was an INCREDIBLE help on our big day!!! We couldn’t have done it without her!! On our wedding day, Shawna and Lauren arrived early and helped set up everything, they even helped unload all our decor from our truck. We had given them a wedding plan document of how we wanted the decor to look, and they made everything look exactly how we imagined, and better!!! They were both very attentive to the timeline, and made sure everyone was where they needed to be according to our schedule.
She also made sure the vendors knew everything they needed to know beforehand so that everything would run smoothly. The only thing I did note that She also utilized some small “walkie-talkie” earpiece radios to communicate with all the vendors on a dime, which our photographer said was super handy! After the wedding, we took inventory of our items and everything was returned safe and sound.
Shawna was a great help throughout the whole day! The SSE team is very talented and made sure our day was as stress-free as possible. I am so grateful we hired Savvy Southern Events to help with our wedding!! I was on the fence on hiring a wedding coordinator initially, but honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made because it allowed us to truly enjoy our day. We are SO grateful for all of SSE’s help!! -

Working with Shawna and her team and SSE was worth every penny! Make sure to give her a call and inquire about her services. Shawna was the same person on our 1st call as she was through the entire planning and day of wedding process! She was very helpful during planning, always kept in communication with me and helped guide me through planning. Before the wedding she kept up with my vendors for me (you don’t realize how much help this was!!!) Day of the wedding, she decorated and took care of vendors and me a the wedding party and over 150 guests. You won’t even know if you forgot something (like I did) because Shawna just took care of everything and really made my day perfect and worry free! I highly recommend giving her a call! -

Book asap!
After doing some research and thoroughly looking through each of their packages, I decided on the full planning package through savvy southern events a little over a year before my wedding date. No regrets whatsoever!! I would highly recommend doing it that amount of time in advance, but even if it was closer, I know everything would’ve been taken care of. I got the pleasure of working with Shawna directly and I could not praise her and her business enough! Any question, concern, or recommendation.. I was able to ask her. She kept us on a perfectly planned timeline to where I was able to just show up to appts and decide what I wanted!
But now to the most important part.. the day of the wedding! There were some small complications with the venue, with my bridesmaids dresses, and with minor decor that she took care of without worrying me in the slightest. Any time I needed absolutely anything, I would ask for Shawna or her assistant because they would get it done in a heartbeat! My wedding was the best day of my life and I have Shawna and her team to thank for it! We also added the set up and take down and seeing as though she’s been in this business for quite some time, she had many of the decor items I wanted already which we were ecstatic to be able to use! I literally just had to show up and get ready. My advice would be to book the full package asap, you will not regret it!! I could not recommend them enough! I will absolutely miss working with you and your team, Shawna! -

She helped me turn my Mom’s ranch into a wedding wonderland with what I felt was little direction from us since we live all the way in Florida. One of the most impressive aspects of working with Shawna is her exceptional communication skills. Shawna worked with us for close to a year! On the day of the wedding, Shawna and their team were nothing short of spectacular. They seamlessly coordinated all the moving parts, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our special day without any worries. Every aspect of the wedding exceeded our expectations, leaving us and our guests in awe. She and her team had to deal with the heat, the wind, vendors, decorations, tables and addressed any potential issues before they arose.
Moreover, Shawna went above and beyond in personalizing our wedding. As part of the full package she offered us to use anything in her storage. Pinterest Wedding and she has it! This was incredible to me because in the final weeks the number of details you need to think about can be very overwhelming. Shawna has all those perfect little details ready for you to use and I cannot thank her enough for making that part of the process so seamless. She even spray tanned me and my mother in law to give us the perfect wedding glow!
We are eternally grateful to Shawna and team for their exceptional service, unparalleled expertise, and heartfelt commitment to making our wedding day perfect. Best investment for our day!
Shawna was so helpful! Our venue didn’t require a coordinator, but she was by far the best investment in out day! Everything was on schedule and ran so smoothly. We hired her for day of coordinator but she did so much more, and was available from the moment we decided to work with her. My Fiancés grandmother was unable to make it and Shawna made sure to get the entire ceremony recorded for her, and we didn’t even know until afterwards. Shawna also brought an enormous kit for emergencies, helped when my sisters dress broke before the ceremony, and decorated our cake for us! -
