From our engagement session to our wedding day, Sarah and Madeline captured the moments that truly mattered. Every photo tells a story with the smiles, laughter, and quiet in-between moments feel so alive that we get to relive the day every time we look at them.
Their talent, patience, and eye for detail made the entire experience feel effortless. Working with them as a sister duo was absolute perfection!! It truly felt like we were surrounded by friends, not just photographers. Their calm, joyful energy put us completely at ease, and the memories they captured are ones we’ll treasure forever. We got married in July in the OBX! It was hot..really hot, but Sarah and Madeline made sure we got all the pictures we needed in a timely manner. The photos were STUNNING and I am so happy we went with Sarah! She really did capture the most special moment of our life with our loved ones in the perfect way. I will cherish them for the rest of my life. We also got to do our engagement session with her which was really helpful since we could meet her ahead of time. I am so thankful. Thank you Sarah! -

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Sarah and Madeline for our wedding at The Black Stallion, and we cannot recommend them enough! From the very start, they were calm, cool, and collected, which was exactly the energy we needed on such an emotional day. Their attention to detail is unmatched. Each moment was captured so beautifully and vividly. Sarah was the first vendor we booked...before we were even engaged! We just knew there was no better match for us. When she shot our engagement photos, we knew we had made the right choice! Not only was she super chill, but the photos were absolutely STUNNING. We truly could not pick one for our save the date...so we ended up having two!
My husband and I were on our mini moon as we looked through our wedding album for the first time, and we were able to relive our perfect day all over again. We were SPEECHLESS. The way these sisters capture emotion is truly special and in a raw, natural kind of way. It has been so hard for us to pick "favorites" because there are just so many to choose from. As we slowly share the photos with friends and family, everyone is blown away by how "out of a magazine" they are. Not only are Sarah and Madeline unbelievably talented, but their presence was such a gift. They blended seamlessly into the day, made everyone feel comfortable, and put us at ease with humor when we needed it the most! I feel like throughout the wedding planning process they became friends of mine, and I will truly miss them now that it is all over.

Unmatched wedding photography!
It is hard to find the words to describe how special Sarah and Madeline are. As a sister photography team, their talent is unrivaled and we will cherish their photos forever. Sarah managed to capture every moment big and small. Both were truly in sync the entire day. Our guests are gushing over the photos as well! Beyond their talent, Sarah and Madeline put everyone at ease whether they were camera shy or loved the camera. You spend quite a bit of time on your wedding day with your photography team, so picking someone you connect with cannot be overlooked. Sarah and Madeline were the best choice! Their energy was perfect and upbeat and they kept the wedding day running smoothly. I can’t imagine anyone else to have captured our special day - Sarah and Madeline are truly invaluable. Both on our wedding day in the outer banks and at our church ceremony in DC, Sarah captured photos that will stand the test of time and that we can cherish forever. This is true whether she has shot in the location plenty of times or never been to the venue before. She can capture the moments, big and small, from anywhere! Words, especially in one review, can’t capture how much she did for our wedding, and we are so thankful to her and Madeline. -

Wow! Sarah and Madeline were amazing to work with. My husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera—but you wouldn’t know it in these shots! From the moment the ladies arrived in the bridal suite, they set my group at ease. They were extremely nice and professional while also being a blast to work with. I hired Sarah to photograph my June wedding in Fredericksburg VA and had a wonderful experience working with her! She spent so much time ahead of the wedding answering questions and helping me craft my timeline. She managed a large wedding party, complex family dynamics, and multiple locations with grace and was able to quickly get our photos done so we could get to our reception. She delivered a fabulous gallery to us so much faster than expected and we are so happy with our decision to work with her! -

The best day!!
Where to begin!!! Sarah and Madeline are absolutely INCREDIBLE humans and so ridiculously talented. Sarah was the very first vendor I jumped on booking when I got engaged 2 years ago, and thank God we had her and Madeline! I truly cannot say enough good things about how perfect they made our day a few weeks ago. The weather was not playing nice and Sarah gently recommended changing our schedule around.... and she was absolutely right and it made our entire day. You will never find a more fun, genuine, lovely pair of gals that are the best in their field. It was giving all the editorial, couture, Vogue vibes in the best, most relaxed way! All I can say is, book SDP and you won't be disappointed! -

Wonderful Post-Wedding Shoot
My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Sarah for our post-wedding photo shoot with our two dogs. Despite the fact that we arrived a bit late for the shoot, she graciously extended the shoot time and maintained a relaxed and flexible atmosphere throughout. Sarah went above and beyond by not only capturing stunning photos of us with our dogs, but also taking the initiative to wrangle our energetic pup so we could have some photos of just my wife and I. Her professionalism, patience, and dedication were truly commendable! The quality of the photos exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend Sarah for anyone seeking a talented and accommodating photographer. I feel like a wedding photographer is one of the most difficult and important decisions you’ll make in your wedding process. I agonized over it and took the leap. I’m SO glad I did. Don’t think twice - Sarah will make your dreams come true. I cried when I saw my wedding photos - I was in awe of every photo and my whole full family can’t stop talking about them. Sarah and Madeline were absolutely the best to work with, they captured all the details in my wedding and made an amazing reel the day after, which I appreciated so much since I didn’t have a videographer. Don’t think twice about who to book, the photos are so high end and editorial. Can’t recommend them enough!! -

My husband and I have been married for a little over a year and I find myself constantly looking at our wedding photos. I am OBSESSED with them. They are that good. They are all over our home, still set as screen savers, and yes from time to time I am still posting them. I can't get enough.
Sarah captured our day in the most beautiful, soft, romantic, and magical way. She was the first vendor I booked and was a WEALTH of information. Easy to talk to, to get along with, I felt like I had known her for years.

Sarah makes you feel like your wedding day is just another day with your partner. She makes the entire experience feel comfortable but with all the elements of glam. Sarah is an absolute rockstar. She works with you at your comfort level and finds the best shots. She has such a strong artistic eye. When we did our engagement shoot a year and a half before our wedding we hit it off. She knew how we looked best and how to capture that. When we got married there were people around but this didn't stop her from getting the best shot. She knew I didn't want many staged photos and mainly wanted candids and that's what we got! She was able to capture the true happiness and joy that was happening around us. All of the guests at our wedding felt comfortable getting their photo taken and nothing felt staged. I wish I could give Sarah more than 5 stars. I will definitely be booking with Sarah again down the road. Sarah's second shooter, Madeleine was also fantastic and highly suggest working with her. Overall, Sarah made our wedding experience one of a kind! -

Best Photographers Ever!
Sarah and her sister Maddie were absolutely amazing and we could have not asked for better photographers for our wedding day. Throughout the entire process Sarah was extremely responsive and super flexible. Like many other couples we ended up postponing our wedding for 1 year due to COVID and they worked with us effortlessly as we got a new date scheduled. They were also an amazing resource to be able to get advice on other vendors and all things OBX as we were planning from afar.
We did our engagement photos with Sarah before the wedding to meet her and so she could get a sense of what we were looking for on the day of. On the day, they were awesome as always and captured everything we were looking for. They were always so accommodating and got the literal best photos ever. I would book them over and over and recommend them to anyone! 100000000000000/10 stars -

Hiring Sarah and Madeline was one of the best and easiest decisions we made for our wedding! They made us feel so comfortable, for two people who typically don't feel comfortable being in front of the camera. It was extremely cold and windy the day of our wedding, but you can't even tell from the photos. It looked like a warm, fall evening on the water! From the minute I saw one of Sarah’s wedding photos with a dark gray sky, I knew I had to have her photograph my wedding! Her use of contrast and light was exactly what I loved about her photos. We didn’t meet until the wedding day, but I felt like we were friends from our first phone call. She told me what time the sun would set on our wedding day and talked me through timelines with and without doing a first look to help me decide. When I met Sarah and Madeline, they made me feel so comfortable! We had a huge wedding party, and they breezed through all of the shots quickly! I really wanted beach pictures and they took us out in 35mph wind gusts. I thought the pictures would be awful because of the wind but they are STUNNING!!! Sarah and Madeline are fun, laid back, and make you feel at ease on your big day. I cannot say enough good things about them! Not to mention, my photos are GORGEOUS! I’m obsessed, and can’t wait to have Sarah photograph my family down the road. -

So talented, so creative, so chill, so needed for your wedding
Sarah is absolutely the best in the industry. Words cannot describe how talented she is and how appreciative my husband and I are to have had her capture so many memories. Sarah photographed us for an engagement shoot, our rehearsal dinner and our entire wedding. She is the only photographer we will ever use for family or event photography. We had a lot of fun shooting with Sarah and Madeline prior to and on our wedding day! For us who are awkward in front of the camera, Sarah and Madeline made us and our wedding party feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. Excellent photos! There was a miscommunication regarding ending time on the wedding night, but Sarah returned within minutes and stayed longer than scheduled, taking photos the rest of the evening! -
Becca Sent on 09/30/2018We just finished relooking at all of our wedding photos together 2 months after the wedding and are so happy and grateful we had Sarah’s amazing photography skills to capture our day so perfect!! We loved getting to know her during our engagement session a year prior and then following her Instagram for all her cute pup pics!! She is very laid back but helps you become comfortable and relaxed when taking your ample photography pictures! She is great at getting large (19 person) wedding parties organized and making the pictures turn out perfectly even when all those people have been drinking and are not ready to focus! We were a little nervous about our pictures taking time keeping us from partying it up with guests but it went so quick and was so nice to just have some time as a couple while Sarah calmly does her thing! Overall we are so happy we have so many incredible shots from our special day! Thank you so much Sarah and Madeline for helping make our day great!

I had originally found Sarah through her instagram account which was all I needed to decide that she was the perfect photographer for us! She answered any questions I had regarding the wedding timeline and helped me tremendously the day of the wedding by staying on track with the timing of everything. They captured all of the great moments before, during, and all the way to the end of the night! She made my husband and I feel comfortable and relaxed while taking our wedding pictures which is something I was really hoping for! Our wedding was just a week ago but just from seeing a sneak peek of the pictures... they are STUNNING! I highly recommend Sarah to any couple looking for a wedding photographer. Kim Sent on 10/16/2012Sarah was completely professional throughout the entire wedding as well as the planning phase. She was very detail oriented when taking the photographs and very attentive to our wants/needs. Her prices were more than reasonable.
In addition to the wedding portraits, she also provided a photo booth (for a small fee) during the reception. The photo booth included a wide variety of props and all of the guests had a wonderful time posing for silly pictures. -

She's just so laid back and easy-going and was willing to do whatever I wanted. I would use her a million times more.
