Perfection
If you are looking for a rustic desert landscape for your wedding, look no further. My wedding was everything I imagined PLUS so much more. Now, I want to mention that getting married in the middle of the desert is not for the faint of heart. You will be dusty from start to finish, you will lose your voice from screaming and dancing and inhaling dirt all wknd, but that is all part of the experience I must say. Instead of a cliche wedding on the beach or in a church, how about having your guests remember the insane Dr. Suess-like Joshua trees, the orange to blue gradient sunsets, the desert sounds and dancing among endless bright stars. I can not say enough good things about Rimrock Ranch. I want to get married all over again here. :)
I also want to add that my husband and I never got the chance to physically meet Eric or Gwen, but they were extremely communicative and lovely nonetheless. Reno was SOOOO helpful, you rock, Reno!!!! Thank you to all of the staff there, my husband and friends and I cannot wait to come back again. -

A seriously perfect venue for a MAGICAL wedding weekend. Gwen is absolutely incredible but was unable to be there for our wedding weekend. Reno was there all weekend helping us with WHATEVER we needed. All the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, professional, cool, fun, enthusiastic... I could go on! They are really there to make it the best stay possible and do just that.
We have also stayed at Rimrock as guests and loved it. For a wedding weekend, it is wonderful to take over all of the cabins. The staff really make you feel at home. I will say, the cabins can feel a bit rustic! Design is A+ and super cool but if you are used to hotels, be prepared for some more dirt!!!!
The Ranch itself is stunning. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and RAVED about the venue! Because of the stunning scene - vivid stars, joshua trees sprinkled all over the mountains, etc, any additional decor is just extra!
I would truly recommend Rimrock Ranch to anyone considering having a wedding in the area.... it is truly extraordinary. -

Gwen + Eric + Reno and the whole Rimrock team made our wedding weekend everything we imagined and more! Gwen was helpful in making sure everything was good to go & helped us plan everything even though we live on the east coast. Gwen is the sweetest person to talk to and she really goes above and beyond. Rimrock is a beautiful venue that made for the perfect wedding, we wouldn't have changed a thing! -

We visited every venue in the region before finding Rimrock Ranch. It was love at first sight. The most gorgeous view with beautifully curated rooms and an incredible attention to details. Who wouldn’t want to get married under Two Joshua Tree leaning towards each other. Dreamy! The owners and staff are both incredibly accommodating and helpful. We couldn’t have wished for a better spot to get married. We will always cherish the ranch and our guests have said it was their favorite wedding of the year ! 🏜 -

Such an awesome venue!! Gwen and Eric are so cool! I knew I wanted to get married in the Joshua Tree area, and the first time I saw Rimrock Ranch, I knew that was the place for us! The grounds are so unique and the views are spectacular. Gwen and Eric are some of the nicest people I've ever met. Their staff took care of everything and all my stress lifted the second we arrived for our wedding weekend. People kept commenting on what a great venue we picked. If you want a unique, fun and authentic wedding, Rimrock is the place!!! -

Where do I even start? First of all, Rimrock Ranch is one of the most gorgeous properties in the desert. It makes you FEEL something, and much like the rest of the couples who have gotten married here, we feel forever changed by this place. Gwen and Eric stuck by our side during COVID and TWO postponed dates. Not to mention, when the day of our wedding finally arrived, the desert got hit by a 70 MPH wind storm which carried most of my wedding away with the wind. Gwen and Eric worked SO HARD to make sure we still had the best night...we shifted gears, moved the party, and ended up having one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. There's something so deeply moving about this place, you wont regret saying "I do" here -

Absolutely Dreamy Desert Destination
Let me start by saying…this review is WAY overdue! My husband & I got married at Rimrock Ranch in June of 2021! I can’t say enough positive things about this property & the owners, Gwen & Eric! Planning a wedding in the height of the pandemic was challenging but Gwen was by our side every step of the way! Even on the morning of our wedding day when I needed help printing my vows…Gwen hopped out of bed, printed them & walked them over to me! Now that’s what I call exceptional hospitality! I’m not exaggerating when I say that our wedding guests are still raving about Rimrock & Joshua Tree! We have also stayed on the property 2 additional times just because we love it that much! If the dessert brings you joy or excitement at all…Rimrock should be the first on your list! -

Rimrock is amazing and unforgettable
Rimrock Ranch was the perfect venue for our laid-back wedding last fall. The ranch is so beautiful, the desert scenery is magical, and all the little areas of the venue make it the perfect place to host an even that's fun for everyone. We had folks aged 5 months to 86 years and everyone was comfortable. I can't stress how pretty the scenery is; we are still hearing about how much our guests loved it! It feels rustic but it has all the comforts that you need. Gwen is great to work with. She's responsive, always answered our questions promptly and clearly, and all the expectations, costs, and venue information are up front and clear. Our wedding went off without a hitch and it couldn't have been more perfect. I'd recommend this venue to anyone! -

Rimrock Ranch was a dream place to get married - from the ceremony backdrop, to the wide open sky, to the many different spaces and places on the site to host a dinner, cocktail hour, dance floor, welcome party - it was absolutely stunning. Gwen and Eric have done a beautiful place with Rimrock Ranch, and provide great advice and insight on weather, design, recommended vendors, and how to make the most of the experience. The Most Amazing Wedding Experience
Rimrock Ranch is an amazing venue to get married at. My husband and I wanted a wedding venue that fit our style. We spend a lot of time out in Joshua Tree area and we wanted a venue that was laid-back, beautiful, and could house our family and closest friends on-site. We looked at 7 venues and Rimrock Ranch was a dream come true! We knew immediately that it was the venue for us. The owners, Gwen and Eric, are so helpful and really got the laid-back, outdoors vibe we were going for. Our wedding guests loved them. Having the whole weekend with our friends and family was really special to us. Our wedding list was mostly out of town guests and being able to spend the whole weekend with them, not just 12 hours was unbelievably special.
They have a great list of vendors that we booked for the event too and that helped me be way less stressed about planning to already have those resources. It was such a magical place! We love Gwen/Eric's dogs and we got to bring our dog, Pancake who was a part of the wedding ceremony.
When all was said and done, our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Mostly due to the venue location, beauty, and relaxed nature. It really exceeded our expectations. I could not have asked for a more perfect venue, more perfect hosts, or more perfect day. We look forward to coming back for many years to celebrate! -

We love Rimrock! My husband and I just got married at Rimrock Ranch a couple weeks ago. If you're looking for a weekend getaway or a wedding venue, Rimrock is your place. Rimrock is not only placed right in the middle of the most beautiful part of Pioneertown, but the owners, Gwen and Eric, have transformed it into a desert paradise. We stayed there for a weekend and were able to experience the venue as a guest - the cabins with the vintage decor, the pool, outdoor dining, the great service - the list goes on and on. Then when we hosted our wedding there, they not only provided a great list of vendors that we could use for food, etc., but they were communicative and helpful throughout the whole planning process - and affordable! No matter what you pay, it's worth every penny. We look forward to celebrating many anniversaries at Rimrock Ranch -- Kat & Marc -

I feel not only thankful, but also inspired by the hospitality and kindness we were shown at our time at Rimrock.

John Sent on 07/16/2018I realize giving Rimrock Ranch 5 stars in every category may come off as lazy and/or gushing, but they really did make our whole weekend so much less stressful than it could have been. The venue itself was already incredible before they became its current caretakers, but you can really see how the changes they've made have modernized it without sacrificing character. Despite our efforts to make our wedding weekend as low-key as possible, it was still a wedding and Gwen and Eric were both incredibly helpful and supportive, but also oddly and wonderful invisible. They simultaneously gave us 5-star service but also stayed just out of the way enough to make it feel like this whole slice of desert heaven was all ours to enjoy.

Rachel Sent on 04/17/2018I honestly can't say enough nice things about my wedding experience at Rimrock Ranch. The setting is out-of-this-world gorgeous so we didn't have to work hard at all on decorating. Gwen and Eric are fabulous hosts who seemed to really get our vibe and made our guests feel comfortable and welcome. They were always on hand for problem-solving but also gave us plenty of space and trust to host the wedding weekend we wanted. The venue is remote so we rented a truck and had plenty of help getting everything there and set up. So do plan on that being part of your experience. But this is really the kind of place that you can personalize and make special. We couldn't be happier with our Rimrock Ranch wedding!

Stella Sent on 10/26/2017Rimrock Ranch was a dream venue for our wedding. The Joshua Tree setting is idyllic. To get married right next to a Joshua Tree is actually quite surreal! Being able to stay on property with your ~20 people inner circle created a very relaxed vibe like being on vacation. What really solidified the experience was working with the owners Gwen and Eric. We happened upon the Ranch shortly after Gwen & Eric purchased the ranch from the previous owner. I gravitated toward them because they both left their SF advertising careers to follow a dream. Their passion is evident in the restoration efforts that they embarked on since acquiring the property. Their professionalism is exceptional. Gwen's response time quite impressive as is her patience with the minutia of wedding details.
Our guests are still raving about the wedding. "Best wedding ever" has been thrown around quite a few times. I was concerned that we might lose some people in the hour trip from Palm Springs but everyone embraced the journey and the beauty that awaited them upon arrival. I would not change a single thing about this experience. Thank you Gwen & Eric! -
