Katie was an incredible photographer to work with on both our Western wedding day and Indian Fusion wedding day. She captured both vibes perfectly and knew the best locations to get a shot at our venues at the Spring House Restaurant in Winston-Salem, NC (western wedding) and Historic Brookstown Inn in Winston-Salem, NC (fusion wedding). She was really fast getting us sneak peeks that we could enjoy right after each event. I literally could not be more excited for all of our pictures. Katie and her team completely knocked it out of the park and far exceeded my expectations. I am so grateful for all 3 of them and the way our day was captured perfectly. The day could not have gone better! Katherine and Loren fit right in the moment they got there. They did a fantastic job, especially rallying our crowd of families! And cherry on top, Katherine being photographer of the year and getting the giant mud stain out of my dress :)
I will forever cherish these pictures and be grateful for the whole Red Boat Photography team. Could not recommend them enough if you're looking for a wedding photographer! -

Awesome photos and customer service!
We had a fantastic experience with Red Boat Photography back in November of 2020. We arranged a surprise photo shoot to capture the proposal in photos without my fiance noticing. Katie was super helpful and responsive the whole time before, during, and after. I was lagging behind on getting all of the gallery photos downloaded so, she even extended my gallery expiration date to give me some extra time! I highly recommend Red Boat Photography :) -

Dream photographer – When you look at the photos you quickly realize each one is literally an individual work of art. Extreme attention to detail enabled Katie to flawlessly capture my wedding day. Somehow Red Boat Photography was able to get into my mind if I were to list every special moment I dreamed to capture of all the people I love most. Many of the shots were genuine action shots of family surrounding us with support. I could not have been happier with the emotions captured and the way the setting was portrayed (even when she never saw it before the big day). Photographers were punctual, professional, and extremely helpful. I did not realize how busy the wedding day would be but the stress of making it memorable was taken care of for me and I am eternally grateful for Red Boat photography. I can assure you the stress of a wedding photographer will be an afterthought with Red Boat. -

Red Boat Photography was so helpful in making my big day so perfect! Katie helped me in the beginning stages by outlining a schedule of pictures which helped me plan and keep the day on track! She is so professional and sweet to work with! She knew how to get people in line for a picture but kept it fun! Last but not least, she is SOOO TALENTED!! The pictures turned out beautifully! I cried looking through them when they came back because they had captured the day so well! From moments with my bridesmaids, my ring bearer constantly holding my flower girl's hand, to my first look with my husband. She captured it all! I highly recommend! -

All I have to say is just WOW!!! I mean Katie did a stunning job. We had a last minute cancellation from our photographer and when we thought we would never find one, Katie came in and saved the day. I’m so thankful our original photographer canceled!!

Katie and Alex with Red Boat Photography were such a joy to work with! They were so flexible and took into consideration everything we were wanting in our pictures. Working with Katie, the girls felt happy and at ease. And having Alex there to capture the groom details was such a great touch! Both worked so well together to get our bridal party and family pictures portrayed perfectly. Each time we look at the pictures, we are in awe of the love and beauty that Katie and Alex captured that day! -

Working with Katie was easily one of the best decisions I made while planning my wedding. Not only are Katie and her husband fantastic photographers, but Katie is also a wonderful help in general and great at giving advice for wedding planning. I met with Katie only twice in person before my wedding (we kept missing each other when Katie was in Greensboro), but we kept in contact through email. Katie is always prompt in responding to emails, and is very thoughtful and straight forward in her responses. She is totally willing to help out if you have questions about wedding specifics, like timelines and smaller details. The wedding party and I followed her timeline, and that was the basis for the timeline I gave our other vendors. If her emails got lost in my inbox and she didn't hear from me, she would send me a reminder email about a week later (I'm really bad about responding to emails). Red Boat Photography has a variety of packages to suit every type of wedding, and Katie is willing to sit down with you and hash out what will be best for the day you are envisioning.
I'm not very good at taking pictures, mostly because I end up making really weird faces or they are at a weird angle, but Katie really made me look my best (as well as the rest of the wedding party) and I cannot thank her enough. Six months later, I still look at our wedding pictures and am in awe. Honestly, my husband and I haven't been able to pick out our favorite ones, so we have yet to print any! She gives you so many pictures to choose from, and every single one of them is beyond perfect, it's so hard to choose. She made me and my bridesmaids feel at ease during pre-ceremony pictures. She and her husband both took pictures of my husband and me after the ceremony (before the reception), and they did a really good job of just stepping back and letting us have a moment, while still taking wonderful pictures. Once the excitement of the ceremony and everything is over, it was really nice to have a moment with my new husband before joining the party.
Katie and her husband also worked well with our friend who filmed our wedding. There seemed to be no run ins or anyone getting in the other's shot, which is great. They have experience working with videographers (ours just wasn't an experienced wedding videographer).
I could go on for days about how wonderful Katie (and Red Boat Photography) is, honestly. There are not enough words to thank Katie for everything she did to help with my wedding. She was a great asset, putting my mind at ease and truly invested in making our wedding the best it could possibly be. If you are looking for a wonderful photographer for your wedding, Red Boat Photography is just the right match. I hope to call on Red Boat Photography again in the future for family portraits as my husband and I live only a few hours away! -

Katie is extremely kind and professional and delivered the most beautiful and thoughtful images. Communication was great and we both felt very comfortable sharing this experience with her. We received gorgeous high quality images, while not feeling posed and stagey! She really does create a wonderful experience for couples instead of just giving you photos! We highly recommend Redboat Photography!!!!
