  single best decision for the wedding; lgbtq photo/video

  As an LGBTQ couple, we needed to make sure that we hired vendors who were not just “OK” with our love, but were 100% accepting and affirming. I found Rachel and hired her to do our engagement photos after extensive research on photographers and videographers on WeddingWire, various directories and on Instagram. Rachel has an amazing way of capturing your emotions and not interfering with the natural reaction you have. We don’t like having our pictures taken, but we hardly even knew Rachel was with us when she took our photos at 5 AM on the beach. I also hired her for her beautiful videography edits and I do not regret it at all. It was probably the best decision of the entire wedding to have Rachel and her partner, Annie do photo and videography. I will probably update this review, when I have better words, but if you are looking for photos that capture the essence of your day, the feelings you have, the vibes, intimate, romantic, cozy, emotional… You need to hire her right now. We cried, watching our videos, and even some of the pictures. We consider Rachel and Annie to be friends now and they blended in with our friends and family so well. Could not recommend Rachel enough!! Hire her and you will be so happy!! Especially as an LGBTQ couple, she is safe and creates a comfortable environment for you to be yourself in. Definitely my favorite LGBTQ friendly photographer. Thank you so much Rachel, you made a difficult day worth it. so many of my pictures are such beautiful moments captured in time, and I can’t thank you enough for your hospitality, and your kindness and support throughout.

  Truly caring and talented videographer

  My husband and I reviewed over 30 videographer portfolios before being referred to Rachel by our photographer. We knew we wanted video of our wedding but everything we saw just was hitting what we had envisioned. We wanted someone who had an eye for design details and appreciated the beautiful surrounding as much as the intimate moments between us. We also wanted to make sure we caught special moments with our guests as well. Rachel from the start was so thoughtful and caring. We didn't have much to prep her with before our wedding because we trusted her vision completely! Her and her partner were so great throughout the entire day, their supportive energy kept my husband and I focused on our love and each other rather than any wedding stress. Rachel and our photographer Avonne have worked together before so they were so in sync. We truly had the A-team of wedding photography and videography!! We can't recommend Rachel enough.

She allowed us to postpone due to covid, created a payment plan for us, and even agreed to snap photos for us since she has a different style than the photographer we hired. She took amazing photos we will cherish forever and we can’t wait to see the wedding video which will surely blow our minds. 12/10

  Amazing experience with Rachel!

  While searching for a videographer, we stumbled across Rachel's website and immediately fell in love. We were looking for someone who would be the perfect fit for us to capture our day in a way that nobody else could. We reached out and set up a video call with Rachel and knew that she was perfect for us. Through the planning process, she was readily available to answer any questions or address any concerns but made sure we knew that she wanted to stay out of the way and not add any stress to the planning process, which was amazing! She was so eager to help and ensured that we got exactly what we were looking for. On the day of the wedding, she showed up early and was able to capture every moment while completely blending in and not sticking out in the crowd. She was extremely professional and her passion really stood out to us. Although she was just one person capturing our day, it really felt like she was able to be in multiple places at once, never missing any moments. What was most impressive was waking up the morning after our wedding to an absolutely beautiful and perfect "sneak peek" video of our day. Rachel was amazing and we could not have asked for a better experience!

  Great having Rachel with us for our wedding

  Our wedding was at the Belfast boathouse. It was a decent venue, but everything was DIY pretty much. Rachel was very accommodating of our schedule. She coordinated with us in advance about what we wanted, and had good ideas for how to pose and what to do. The pictures were beautiful and the videos were well made. I would recommend.

  I'm a wedding planner and I really loved working with Rachel!

  I was the wedding planner for a wedding that Rachel filmed and recorded in February 2022. What a star! I already knew of Rachel's work to help make the wedding industry a more inclusive, accessible, diverse, and equitable place so I was really looking forward to working with her in-person. Golly, did she deliver. She was easy to work with before and on the wedding day, and took extra care to support the couple throughout their wedding. Thanks for your work, Rachel.
