If you are looking for an outdoor / garden wedding venue, I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion & Farm. It offers stunning scenery and affordable prices that will fit your budget. There is a charming, vintage bridal cottage and a mancave that brides and grooms can use and enjoy while getting ready separately for the day. I especially love the ceremony area; there are these gorgeous Egyptian doors the bride walks through to walk down the aisle. These types of doors are rare for an outdoor space. The tent for the reception is beautiful and has a unique brick patio area. But I think my favorite part about this venue is all the different little areas on the property, including the gaming area and a bird sanctuary that are so unique. There is a formal garden, a game area, a swing, and even a firepit for making smores. There are just so many places to take beautiful pictures, which I think is important to capture on such an important day. You can really get so much on your wedding day for such reasonable prices. Finally, Debbie the owner, really works with you in many ways. -

I was a guest at Garrett Bush and Layla Snyder's wedding on June 8th, 2023. This venue is amazing..Located in the farmland and beautifully set for that special day....Outdoor wedding, comfortable area for post ceremony drinks and pictures, plus delicious snacks...Then off to eat under a tent with another set of amazing views of the country...With all that said, I am 82 years old and do have some trouble getting around...Debbie noticed this and gave me rides to the different areas where guests were gathered...Even came to the opening in the tent during the meal to see if I needed anything...Her kindness was very much appreciated....It was a beautiful ceremony at a absolutely gorgeous location and I would highly recommend Prosperity Mansion and Farm. Debbie, thanks very much for taking care of me on that day... -

I own "The Grove". We offer bridal stylists, photographers, and day of coordinators. I did hair for a wedding this past September and it was one of the most beautiful properties/venues I've been to! I got to meet the owner, Debbie and she was so cheerful and happy and very attentive! I 100% recommend this venue as the PERFECT place to have your special day! -

I attended a wedding at Prosperity Mansion and Farm last weekend and had such a great experience! Not only were the grounds immaculate and beautifully maintained, but the owner was gracious and bent over backwards for the guests to insure they had a great experience! I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion! -

Prosperity Mansion is such a wonderful and beautiful place with no details left untouched. My fiancé has visited multiple other wedding venues and said that this was one of the best and none of them could compete with the price. This place can go toe to toe with venues charging twice the price. The owner was super professional, helpful and kind. Everyone of our guests enjoyed celebrating with us and loved the venue we chose. I highly recommend Prosperity Mansion! -

Friendly and welcoming owner! All questions have been answered in a timely manner, as well as booking for our special day. We were able to go over every inch of the property to ensure we are going to have all bases covered. Debbie communicates with all outside vendors in a timely manner as to assure everyone is on the same page! I have never met someone else who is so down to earth and happy to be apart of such incredible moments for people.. I’m really looking forward to Debbie and her crew being a part of and helping me to prepare for such a special day in my life. Everything has been smooth sailing so far! I cannot wait for my friends and family to see this special place that we’ve chosen to celebrate our love! -

I would like to highly recommend both Prosperity Mansion as well as the owner Debbie Donohue. I think the property is lovely with spectacular views. They say that they are described as elegant and whimsical with rustic touches and that is so true. Debbie goes out of her way to make everyone feel special. A great place for any event but especially a wedding. We looked at numerous venues and while many were terrific, this was the one for me. Debbie was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. She went out of her way to make my day special. I am grateful to her for the wedding of my dreams. The property was also fit with so many unique characteristics including doors from Egypt with a steeple bell announcing the bridge, an amazing chandelier and bar in the reception tent, all of which added to the unique ambiance of this property. Debbie has thought of everything. -

We looked at a variety of venues in Frederick and Baltimore before selecting Prosperity Mansion. I'm extremely happy with how the day turned out. The venue is gorgeous, and when you consider everything that they provide, it was also the best option for us as a budget-conscious couple. For five grand, you get: a (beautiful) ceremony space, reception tent, tables, chairs, access to their expansive property for photo ops, spaces for the bride & groom to get ready, freedom to chose our own caterers, and even some yard games. We paid in full on signing the contract, which gave us an extra hour (total of 13 hours) to set everything up and get ready.
Moreover, the owner, Debbie, graciously allowed us to visit her property several times leading up to our wedding, to take engagement photos, and to size up the space and make plans. We did all the decorations and drinks DIY, and it was incredible how much free range we were given to be creative with the planning. Then there was the pandemic, which meant we had to go back to the venue once more to adjust the plans (we needed an extra tent so that people could remain socially distanced during the dinner). Debbie was very responsive and cooperative throughout the entire process.
Some of the other reviews on here are trashing Debbie as being rude, which I don't think is fair. I speculate that the reason for these negative comments is that Debbie and her husband live at Prosperity Mansion, which makes them a bit protective of their space. This translated to some of our family members catching an accusatory tone from Debbie. Personally, I felt this was a very minor defect. It did not detract whatsoever from the beauty or happiness I experienced on my wedding day. And given how much Debbie provided for us, it was still an unbelievable value. If you have zero tolerance for difficult people, it's probably because you yourself are also a difficult person, and you should either pay more money somewhere else, or get married in your backyard. (In Debbie's words, "I don't deal with meanies." We knew what this meant when we signed the contract, we knew it didn't apply to us, so we felt comfortable booking.) As long as you can be respectful and abide by the minimal (and in my opinion, very reasonable) set of boundaries that Debbie has set, you can look forward to having a beautiful and memorable wedding at Prosperity Mansion, for an unbeatable price.

Prosperity Mansion is such a beautiful space to get married. The Bridal Suite and Man Cave were a great addition as well. We did not feel rushed on our day at all and the tent is a huge space to dance the night away with all your guests. The only complaints I received from our guests were the bathrooms and parking area were extremely dark after the sun set. I would recommend putting in additional bright lights to get to and from those areas, especially for our older folks benefit. Other than this, I received nothing but positive feedback! -

We had to reschedule our wedding less than three months in advance to a new venue, and we were relieved to find that Prosperity Mansion was available and affordable. This venue was beautiful and our guests had a great experience. However, as the bride, I can say that certain important amenities were lacking on the day of: we had to transport the trash ourselves (we knew this in advance, but it was very difficult to do), the handicap-accessible restroom did not have a sink, our photographer almost stepped in and set his camera down on dog poop in the cocktail garden area (this is where the venue owner apparently lets her dogs go without fully cleaning up after them), and the venue owner resisted raising most sides of the tent, despite the mid-90s degree heat that made a breeze helpful to prevent guests from passing out. The venue owner was less than professional to my father- and mother-in law, the caterers, and the bartender. She was also overly present at the wedding itself (and she was not dressed professionally). TLDR: Beautiful and affordable venue, guests loved it, we were able to make an Indian buffet work even without a catering kitchen, but the venue owner was difficult to work with for us and our vendors. -

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. However, the owner does not focus on customer service. She was quite rude to several members of my family at our rehearsal, was disorganized through our planning process, and extremely unprofessional. I had email confirmation that my rehearsal could be the Friday before our wedding, and a few hours later received an email asking when I would like to have my rehearsal. You do not get a lot of bang for your buck with this venue - when paying in full you get 12 hours, which seems like a lot of time but really isn’t when you think of all that goes into a wedding. You really only get the time, venue, and tables and chairs. It is a hard facility for caterers to work with as there is no refrigeration Or food prep area in the reception tent. I sent over all requested documents to the owner and was asked to resend everything in a way that worked better for them in one case. In another case, I was asked to send it because they said I had never sent it, although I had the original email where I had sent it. I think the owner caused me more stress than anything else with my wedding planning. Long story short: venue is gorgeous, owner is not the easiest to work with

Not satisfied, unable to keep date due to it not being handicap accessible for my son and father. Could not book a future date for the same reason. Did not want to refund a penny. -

Booked this venue before the pandemic. Wedding was scheduled 6/20. We booked this place for space and ability to accommodate our numbers. Well Covid prevented us from using the space as we intended. Debbie refused to even do a partial refund. Offered to let us choose a later date but here we are 2021 and large gatherings are still unsafe. Protect yourself at all cost with this vendor!
