My husband and I absolutely loved having Power Sounds Dj our wedding - our story goes way back to Feb 2020 beginning to plan our wedding with Nicolette from Chic Concepts (amazing planner)... shortly after we met with and booked David Matt, and Evelyn (also the fact they are a family business) we ended up needing to postpone our wedding from May 2021 to May 2022 - The team was very helpful when it came to the decision and process, amazing customer service overall. From the start when we first met with Matt, David, and Evelyn they were so professional! Our final meeting prior to our big day was one big relief. They assured us that everything was going to be perfect, and gave us wonderful advice to make our day that much better. Our wedding day was a big success thanks to Matt. From ceremony to cocktail hour to our reception it was just perfect. Our guest absolutely loved how Matt played music for everyone. The way he transitioned every song was just smooth! Power sounds were great to work with and handled on the spot changes like the professionals they are! They made our wedding day extra special for us. Everybody said they are great and kept the partying going at our reception. I can’t say enough about them. I would use power sounds for other events!! I cannot begin to express how impressed I was with Matt and his team. They are family owned and operated which means so much to me and not only that, they SLAY!! I cannot tell you how many times I have heard since the wedding what a fun time it was and if the blisters on my feet tell you anything, its that I danced the night (and my skin) away because he played every hit and MORE! If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding, look no further! As well as many others, we had quite a few changes in plans due to Covid. Power Sounds was flexible with us for both our venue and dates changes. They were extremely responsive and professional and helped us through the entire process. The dinner music as well was reception music was perfect for our styles. My husband and I have very different tastes in music and they managed to play songs for both of us to ensure we were dancing and having fun the entire night! Dance floor was non-stop!
When we had to postpone our wedding due to COVID-19, David and Evelyn did everything in their power to ensure they would be able to service our new date. Evelyn is great at communicating and helped set up the final details call before our event. David was very thorough during our final call, ensuring that all of our requested songs will be played, and took note of which songs/bands we did not want played. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and even though it was outdoors his microphones for the pastor didn’t pick up the wind.
At the reception, David was able to play a speech sent in by the best man who was unable to attend the wedding due to coronavirus. The whole evening had a great flow to it due to his MC skills and when he really got the music going the dance floor was on fire! I had several guests the next morning tell me how sore they were for dancing, I consider that a win! Also the DJ stand looks so cool and professional and the lights really added to the ambience of the party!

The BEST Event Entertainment in the Business!
We had the privilege of having Power Sounds play an integral part of our special day. My husband and I just recently got married in San Antonio, Tx and from start to finish Power Sounds made us feel like family. We instantly knew they HAD to be a part of our wedding! In comparison to other event entertainment providers we met with, Power Sounds assured us that our wants and needs were priority.
Meeting in advance with David, Evelyn, and Matt to plan out exactly what we envisioned for our wedding gave us confidence in working with these industry professionals. The Wedding Planner Guide they provided allowed us to spell out our specific vision for our wedding ensuring certain songs were played at specific times, special requests were established, and loved one’s names were correct.
Power Sounds arrived early the day of the wedding to make sure everything was set up well in advance and were dressed to impress that night! The uplighting Power Sounds provided set the perfect mood and complimented the classic and elegant vibe of our wedding. The custom monogram they worked backed and forth with us on, allowing multiple revisions until it was JUST right, made a beautiful statement and was a true focal point of the night.
We stressed to the Power Sounds team that music was the most important thing to us for our wedding reception. My husband and I LOVE to dance and are VERY picky about music when attending other events. Let’s be honest, your event entertainment can either make or break your party. Power Sounds definitely came through with providing the BEST entertainment and overall atmosphere for us and our guests! We had to ask our venue to turn up the air conditioner because our guests were BURNING up the dancefloor! We NEVER sat down!
Power Sounds’ smooth and seamless transitions kept the party going as they provided entertainment from all the music genres we requested, appealing to guests of all ages. We simply cannot thank this team enough for all of their careful and precise attention to detail! Power Sounds are true professionals who are prepared for anything. They are the BEST in the business and we would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who is looking for exceptional entertainment! My husband and I still receive compliments to this day about how much fun our guests had at our wedding, all thanks to Power Sounds!

Working with these guys was great! They are a family oriented group and are very helpful and down to earth and will make your special day or event one to remember! They played the music I asked for and everyone loved the music. We had a train of 20+ people during an entire song going around the reception, which I got to lead. My last dance with my husband was perfect. It was just us in the spot light which made the overall moment beautiful. Overall, these guys will give you what you want and you will not be disappointed. We loved working with Power Sounds! They’re business is a family affair and they truly made us feel like we were a part of theirs. They were generous and kind with their time and responses to any needs and questions. David and Matt helped run our ceremony and reception flawlessly, even secretly working with my husband to surprise me by playing guitar and singing at our reception. Amazing!! If I had to describe our experience in one word. Very family oriented and welcoming. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. They knew how to keep everybody going and up beat. Music had everyone out on the dance floor!
Every vendor hired is essential to a dream wedding. When booking a photographer, if you book the wrong one, you are risking not having photos to remember your wedding. And so, when choosing a DJ you risk having a dull, or overly talkative disk jokey who could ruin the flow of your wedding. Well, David and team were just excellent! From the interview process to the day-of, they're so easy to work with. The music selection process is clear-cut. You tell them what to play or not, and they'll stick to the list. The process of moving the events along went so smooth that it almost felt natural. The music they played in between our own selection had the entire wedding guests out jumping and dancing on the dance floor. In addition, previous to hiring Powersounds, I had been worried about the DJ taking the spotlight or having wires and cables exposed. I wanted a clean look throughout the venue and David delivered. The DJ table was hidden with a pretty white facade. You could even choose a color to go with your theme. I opted for simple white. The dance floor had no exposed cables avoiding tripping hazards and was well lit with the lighting they provided. The spotlighting/ or overhead (not sure of the name) provided extra lighting for our photos (see attached). Overall, I have nothing bad to say. Not even a suggestion! That's how good they are!. They are way more than a DJ service. These men know how to walk a bride through her big day and take care of every detail. I didn’t have a wedding planner, but having these two wonderful men by my side made me feel confident and comfortable that I knew my wedding would be taken care of. David and Matt Depaz were amazing DJs at my wedding. I was able to give them ideas I had and they were able to make suggestions and add on as needed. They played a little bit of everything and could really feel the energy from the crowd (which can be hard to read). They kept the party going and there never was a dull moment. They made my hall look beautiful with the uplighting and the monogram of our names. Everyone enjoyed the experience and I highly recommend these guys to do any event. They were super flexible and I never had an issue or concern.

David and Matt Depaz are such amazing DJs. They took my ideas of music I wanted at my wedding and they gave me ideas and suggestions that went along with my ideas. At the actual wedding I know sometimes it can be hard to read people and play what everyone wants to play but I think they did such a great job of playing a little bit of everything and keeping everyone happy. Another thing was their uplighting! Amazing colors and it made my rooms atmosphere change completely! It went from an average church hall to a reception area that didn't look like had been there for 50+ years. They also have the name monograms which was a huge hit and everyone at my wedding was asking where I got it done. Wonderful ideas, wonderful people to work with, and they made my night one that I will never forget!

Power Sounds went above my expectations. I had been searching for a DJ for a month or so and came across Power Sounds. I called and spoke with David who was very quick to answer all of my questions. David and his wife even went out of their way to meet me and my husband and discuss what they offer along with answering any additional questions we had. I think building rapport with a client is a must have. Other DJ services were great too but having a sense of comfort up front is really important to me. In addition to that, Power Sounds was able to work with me on adding additional features such as up lighting which really set the mood. When my Wedding Day finally came I was able to see my venue before anyone walked in. I chose the Westin for my venue which is really nice but the color scheme of the carpet clashed with my wedding colors. When I walked in the ballroom, I saw how transformed the room looked after adding the up lighting. The up-lighting was beautiful and I could hear the music choices I chose playing for our guests during the cocktail hour in the pre-function location next door. We had a 1920’s themed wedding so a mix of modern swing and jazz set the tone that I wanted. Details detail details. If you’re looking for a great emcee, David does a great job at that as well. Someone has to run the party ;) Later as the evening progressed my guests danced the night away and had so much fun. No need to look anywhere else, this is your stop! Enjoy :)

David and his team are incredible! From the time we initially contacted him for our wedding, to the last song he played, he was outstanding. David is a true professional with great music expertise. He kept our guest on the dance floor the entire night. When it came to finding the right music for our event, not only was he exited, but made sure all of our requests were met. The DJ service packages he offers are worth more than what you pay for. Our package came with a monogram and when we did not find what we were looking for, customizing one for our event was a breeze. David responded quickly to our request and changes to the customization until it was exactly what we envisioned. Lastly, Power Sounds DJ is truly a DJ for all, since our event was a Gay Wedding. And for that we thank you a million times over!

I am so so thankful I hired David for my wedding. I didn't have a wedding planner and depended on him a great deal to make the announcements that would keep the flow and schedule on our wedding day. He did an excellent job. The music was on point, the lighting was beautiful, he read the crowd well and knew when to switch it up or what to play to get people on the dance floor. He also did my ceremony music and was on point with that as well. He was quick to respond to my emails and edited the first dance and mother/son dance as I wanted and even better! I would highly recommend him. For everything he does and the top notch service he provides- the money you spend with him will be worth every cent and EXTREMELY reasonable compared to many other DJ's.

Dave and his son were awesome, extremely professional and had all of the guest on the dance floor all night long. Even though it ended at 11pm, it still felt as if we went all night long having fun. They really do read audiences and play what they feel what will get guest on the dance floor. The only complaint my wife had was they didn't play the entire must play list but even she admits that the fact that the guest enjoyed the music so much it definitely made up for that. Overall we are extremely satisfied with choosing them as our DJ's for our very special day we had. Thanks Dav and your son! We definitely reccomend them for all types of events!!!

Power Sounds DJ did a great job at my nieces Quince....Everyone that attended has commented on the variety of music that was played and how professional the set up was. The way the guys dressed up for the event left a great impression. The job they did on the monogrammed lighting was fantastic. David was very patient even though I did not get him some music that he was asking for on time and never complained. Thank you so much for making my nieces Quince such a memorable one.

David and his Assistants are True Professionals--since making initial contact with Power Sounds DJ Service, David made the whole process very convenient and flexible only requiring a down payment and allowing us to make payments as we neared the event-date. Please note, Power Sounds accepts credit card payments in-person or over the telephone; also, as part of the service, we were provided a very detailed and handy wedding planner that allowed us to specify types of music that we preferred; when certain activities would take place throughout the night; and even designate specific songs for specific time-periods/ activities throughout the night! Even more, our DJ Service came with a personalized monogram that we chose and which David displayed all night during our Wedding. And the quality of music and actual DJ-ing was exceptional--all in all, David and his crew did a wonderful job and met all expectations for our wedding!

David impressed me from the moment I met him! He has 30 years of experience and is very knowledgeable. He was helpful, patient, and flexible with us. We actually live in Kansas and were married in San Antonio. He made every effort to meet with us when our schedule allowed us to be in town for planning. He also had custom lighting and a monogram for us. We could not have picked a better DJ. He was aware of the dynamics of the crowd and kept everyone dancing all night! Power Sounds DJ is definitely a top recommendation for a DJ for any event. I may have to celebrate a milestone birthday just to have him play again!

I met David and his son at La Orillo Del Rio Open House. The music was pumping so i went to talk with them and they were very through in telling me about my wedding reception on what they can provide. I met with them later after talking and meeting with 3 other DJ's so I called to make an appointment to meet him. We paid for the services in full that day because I felt that he was the right one to help my night come together with all his experience in music and weddings. He helped me get songs together for our night and always responded to my crazy text at all times.. LOL... The day of the wedding was beyond perfect. The Father & Son duo created a memorable night... They were very professionally dressed and their voice on the microphone was amazing.... Music was hopping and we danced till the very last song! I'm glad i went with them. You can never go wrong if you pick someone with Wedding Dj Experience which is completely different from people just playing music. Thanks for being my DJ Guys.

When I say everyone was on the dance floor, I mean EVERYONE! I've been to many wedding receptions, but this one was my favorite. David and his team tapped into 80s and 90s songs that everyone - young and old could relate to and had the party hopping right from the cocktail hour. Very professional David and his son were day ONE. There's a saying...you get what you pay for. There's some things you can skimp on but the entertainment...NO. Great job Power Sounds!! This father & son duo was the most professional DJ service that my husband and I have ever come into contact with. They showed up to our wedding wearing a suit & tie - and not just any old style of dress either, I mean - they SHOWED up to do their job, look as professional as possible & give great service. From the very first consultation - they were extremely knowledgeable of their equipment, sound quality & music selection. The night before our wedding I was listening to Pandora & heard a song that I HAD to have played at our reception. I sent them a Facebook message & they responded in time to add it to their list & assured me that it wasn't a problem at all. Their customer service & desire to provide the BEST dj service around is truly what makes this team stand out. They didn't drink on the job, they were polite & always had music playing at any given time throughout the reception. The uplighting was amazing as well. We loved how they accommodated our colors & made the theme really work. We'd definitely recommend this DJ to anyone looking to pay for a quality service DJ. You won't have to worry if they'll show up on time or have the right music - these guys will make it work & always have a plan B, C & D ready for whatever little situations may arise.

These guys were great. They made it very easy for my wife and I. Our guests were dancing all night long. We actually went over our time but they kept the party going at no extra charge! David did a great job at our wedding. He and his son were early to set up and made sure my wife and I were satisfied before, throughout, and after. I would definitely recommend his uplighting service as it gave our venue (Kendall Plantation) a completely different feel and looked awesome.

I employed PowerSounds DJ services for my wedding and they were courteous and professional. I was an out of town bride and referred to Power Sounds by a representative from the venue I picked; David was quick to respond to my phone calls and emails and promptly answered any questions I had. He even called me a few days before my wedding to verify the pronunciation of my husband's last name so that he could introduce us properly. Communication with Power Sounds was great, however I was not entirely happy with the service they provided. I had them play a specific set of songs for my ceremony and all went well until I was to walk down the aisle. As my walk down the aisle song started playing, there was a brief two second interjection of the song that had played while my bridesmaids were walking down (I had them walk to a different song). Power Sounds corrected it quickly, but the damage had been done. I picked a song that I knew would make my groom emotional and it did, until the mistake happened which he says disrupted the moment as I'm sure it did for our guests as well. I know mistakes happen, but during the bride's walk down the aisle is not a place you ever want a mistake to happen. During the reception, all went well except that I was surprised by what songs were played. I originally had a list of specific songs I wanted, but David convinced me that it was better to give him creative freedom since he would read my guests and the music they responded to. I did still provide a short list of songs that my groom and I wanted to hear throughout the night, but Power Sounds only played some of those. I do wish that I had stuck to my original idea of having a custom song list. Again, Power Sounds was very professional before and during our wedding, but we expected more from their performance.
