Kim and her team were PHENOMENAL! She worked with me as the bride to perfect my hair and makeup, and made me feel SO stunning. It rained on our wedding day, but Kim worked her magic and my hair and makeup lasted all night long. She was so responsive and easy to work with as well. -

Very talented!
As brides on our wedding day want to feel special and beautiful…Laura made me feel that way and more! She listened to my vision of my look and brought it to life! She fit right in with the bridal party and felt like she was part of our group all along! I would highly recommend her to anyone!! -

Natalie was our lead stylist and we had two other hair and makeup artists for the 10 members of the party. The hair and makeup trial was a great way to get to know Natalie ahead of time and have a good idea of what I wanted and get comfortable with the clip in extensions. On the day of everyone was on time and kept us on schedule! The bridesmaids and moms all looked gorgeous but still themselves. My hair and makeup lasted all night in the summer heat and I felt amazing! Highly recommend!! -

I am so very pleased with Kim and her stylist team (Emmy and Samia). My hair and makeup turned out exactly the way that I wanted and Kim made my dream come true! I Ioved the natural-glam look and finish of the makeup. It was the perfect balance. She was able to fine-tune and incorporate the handful of changes that we talked about at my trial. She was very experienced with working with hair extensions and the hair vine that I wanted to use. Kim was so patient and such a calming presence on my wedding day, which I am so thankful for! I literally combed through dozens of options to find Kim, and I am so glad that I chose her. I felt that her prices were extremely reasonable compared to other artists. I like that her team did hair AND makeup. My bridesmaids looked absolutely gorgeous!! I liked that I could interface directly with her and know which stylists would be working alongside her. I also appreciate that she has tons of experience and has done thousands of weddings! I am so glad that I chose Kim and I highly recommend her!! -

Update- we finally had our reception 4/1/23!
Kim was amazing throughout the process and made the hectic morning so much less stressful! Everyone looked beautiful and my hair and makeup lasted through a REALLY windy day, lots of happy tears, and several hours of dancing and photos. I could not have been happier with Poetically Brushed! Also, Kim was the only one of my vendors to allow me to have a refund minus the very reasonable deposit when my wedding was postponed the first time, so I was so happy to be able to rebook her when we finally had a new date.

We were supposed to get married on May 23. Just wanted to drop a recommendation here for Kim because you should definitely hire her. I had even already had my hair and makeup trial-- which I absolutely loved! I know basically nothing about hair and makeup and she was able to translate my idea of what I wanted (partially up so that it didn't droop but to look like it was down) into an actual style. She was so flexible and responsive we were able to rebook within a day of me reaching out. I am so glad we will have Kim on our vendor team even if we have to wait 6 more months! (LOL WE WAITED 3 YEARS) -

Great Natural Makeup Look
Kim and her team went above and beyond for me, my mom, my husband’s mom, and my 10 bridesmaids. I knew I wanted a more natural look and Kim was the perfect stylist for me. From the very beginning, Kim was responsive and extremely helpful. I had a great experience during my hair and makeup trial. There were a few changes we made for my day of style and it truly was everything I could want. Kim was so sweet and I would recommend her to anyone -

Kim did an incredible job!! For my trial, I was only able to find a couple vague pictures of what I was thinking I wanted for my hair and she did exactly what I had in my mind. She reproduced it perfectly again for the wedding. We had iffy weather the day of the wedding but I wanted to risk doing the first look outside. I literally got rained on and I thought my hair would be frizzy and ruined. But not a single hair was out of place, and it continued to look flawless throughout the entire evening! Cannot recommend Poetically Brushed enough!! -

Poetically Brushed provided both hair and makeup for my wedding in Chantilly, VA. Kim did a great job managing the contract and schedule beforehand- having a schedule was super helpful on the day! Natalie was my lead stylist, she and her team (Kayla and Kara) did an amazing job on myself, mom, and 7 bridesmaids. Everyone was on time and prepared, and we got so many compliments! -

Emmy was the lead stylist for my wedding. She was really flexible in finding a date to do my trial as well as shared information on extensions. Somehow she magically matched my hair to my extensions and worked with me during my trial to make sure she adjusted as she went to to what my vision was. There were some scheduling challenges during the wedding day and she helped to get all the bridesmaids and my hair done despite them. I honestly felt like a woodland princess after she finished my hair and never felt more beautiful after she was done! Could not recommend enough. -

Kim and her team were great! I have not the best skin and hair that wont hold a look for more than 10 minutes and somehow, on my wedding day my hair and make up looked good to the every end (even with a lot of dancing and jumping!) Most importantly, they were on time to the house to start services and got us out the door on time as well!

Ashley was incredible to work with from the very beginning! She was flexible in scheduling and trial and honest about what from inspiration pictures would look best with my hair style and coloring. Day of, her and her team worked with different hair textures and left all of my girls feeling beautiful and amazing! They helped make our morning fun and relaxing and even got us out the door early! -

We booked Poetically Brushed for our wedding, and specifically had Ashley as our Lead and Lynda as our make-up artist. Honestly, we could not be happier across the board. I gave all of my girls freedom do to their hair and make-up in a style they would be most comfortable in because we all have very different types of hair and all do our make-up differently as well.
Ashley and Lynda rose to the challenge and everyone walked out of their styling sessions looking absolutely breathtaking. Even my mother who is incredibly hard to please was the happiest.
Through the whole experience of a trial to the actual wedding day Ashley was a friend who wanted me to feel and look my prettiest. She even set me up with my wedding day lipstick so I would not have to worry about color matching later.
These ladies are amazing at what they do, and you will not regret going with them. -

Kim and her team are absolutely wonderful! Not only are they talented professionals but they are also fun, enthusiastic, kind and easy to talk to! Kim and her team are so very talented and helped myself and my bridal party look like we stepped out of a fairytale! The hair and makeup lasted all day and night still looking as perfect as it did from the start. I can't express how grateful I am, I have never looked or felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Do yourself a favor and book Kim and her team! -

Kim and her team are excellent. They are well-organized and great at creating and sticking to a timeline. I had ten bridesmaids and everything went so smoothly. I'm so impressed by their hair styling, and I got so many compliments. The style I chose was tussled, romantic, and loose, yet it held through an entire night of dancing in summer humidity. Poetically Brushed uses natural makeup so I didn't have to worry about breaking out. -

Does beautiful work!!
As a professional wedding coordinator, I've referred Kim at Poetically Brushed a few times and brides have loved her! So, when my daughter got married recently, Kim was the hair/makeup provider she chose! Kim and her two assistants took care of wedding-day hair and makeup for the bride, 5 maids, and 2 moms. They were delightful to work with, really listened as to what each of us wanted done, and got finished with us all with time to spare! Highly recommend her!!!Poetically Brushed LLC's reply:
