Vanessa did a wonderful job, setting up and well as taking everything down at the end of the night. communication was attentive an on point. not only was she affordable she was just a treat to have. i really could relax,take a breather and enjoy my day. everything was indeed perfect -

I worked with Vanessa Grant who is just absolutely the best! I can’t say enough great things about her. She made my wedding go so smoothly and beautiful. I mainly hired her to set up my wedding decor. She decorated my venue so beautifully and exceeded my expectations. She directed my bridal party and everyone enjoyed working with her. She is timely and treats you with the upmost respect. I so enjoyed my time with her and You would be lucky to work with her. Can not thank Vanessa enough for her hard work and making my wedding day so fantastic. Thank you! -

Vanessa was a perfect asset to have on our wedding day. I didn't have to stress about things like making sure I was sticking to the timeline, knowing where my toss bouquet was, she even made sure my husband and I had appetizers from the cocktail hour by our seats since we weren't there for them! She really thought of all the details and helped make our day perfect. -

Vanessa is newer to the industry on the wedding planning side she is a great side kick for planning and getting all the details together. As long as you have a reasonable budget for your wedding she can make it perfect! -

She and her assistant did an amazing job at my wedding with less then a months notice. She did an awesome job meeting with us before, helping us with our timeline and doing everything possible on the day to make it as stress free and easy as possible -

Vanessa was very helpful making sure everything was taken care of and we didn't forget the small details. If there was a problem that day I wasn't aware of it Vanessa make sure she took care of any issues. He handled everything from hiring servers booking hotel rooms and hiring a photographer who was awesome! See photos attached! -

If I had to do it all again I would still hire Vanessa. She was such an amazing wedding planner. From our first consultation and even ‘til this day she has been professional, punctual, educational, and overall just a sweet person. I recommended her to a friend already and I will continue to recommend her to any new brides/grooms. Her prices are reasonable and she worked around OUR budget to help us plan my dream wedding. She handled all the ‘behind the scenes’ work and I was able to just enjoy my engagement and wedding day! -

I hired Perfect Weddings and Events to provide day of wedding coordinator services. I met Vanessa and her assistant Liz a few weeks before my ceremony to discuss details and my vision. They were very professional and responsive. They brought my vision to life. Liz provided my day of coordinator services and assisted with the rehearsal. Liz did a great job!! She was very responsive, professional and worked well with the vendors, bridal party, and guests. Liz made sure the ceremony ran smoothly and the timeline was followed. The reception hall looked amazing. Liz did a good job with making sure the hall was cleaned and all the decorations were packed. Liz even stayed the night before at the hotel where my ceremony was held to ensure my needs were met and all aspects of the ceremony and reception was in place. She even decorated our honeymoon suite 😃. I am very satisfied with the service I received. I highly recommend Perfect Weddings and Events!!! -

We hired Vanessa as our day of coordinator, but she did not fulfill the terms of our agreement. It's the only wedding decision we regret. She was clearly unprepared for our wedding, checking her phone, no printed timeline, no checklist. Our wedding ran late because of her and there was very little time for cake and dancing (only 30 minutes). I even asked the venue for an extra hour because I was so bummed and unfortunately they couldn't extend the time. After I left my initial review that she disconnected her phone and email after I expressed my concerns to her, that prompted a response. Vanessa convinced herself and tried to convince me that she did more than she actually did. But I'm not convinced. We watched Vanessa as she stood around confused, asking us questions she should know because they were outlined in the timeline document we sent to her and reviewed together. We had to give her direction, ok Vanessa it's time for food, can you call up the tables? Time for speeches, we're behind, first dance (she started the song with no announcement and when the photographers weren't paying attention). She claims she helped with our drinks, but my mom gave the bartender all the ingredients we would need, which she later confirmed. She seemed to ask a lot from my family but was nowhere to be found as we were getting ready. Even the venue manager fortunately onsite that day was the one who signaled me to walk in, ensuring that my fiancé didn't see me through this glass window. My photographer served two roles as my coordinator, bringing water to me and my mom to calm us down. Even fluffing out my dress while balancing her camera. I later learned the groom helped organize his groomsmen and my bridesmaids confirmed that they arranged themselves to walk in. Vanessa misrepresented herself and did the absolute minimal but not many of the things outlined in her agreement. The flowers my mom made for three groomsmen were never pinned to them. Announcements weren't made. We awkwardly marched out to our exit song and in to our grand entrance because she either didn't start the song on time or didn't announce us as outlined in our agreement. At times we felt we were coordinating our own wedding or couldn't relax because things weren't being done. The things we hired her to do, we ended up doing ourselves or having family and friends do them. She explained she likes to be in the background, and that no one should know who the coordinator is. A coordinator needs to take command, keep people organized and on time, check in on the bride and groom. We were right downstairs waiting for her signal and her appearance to check in. She didn't do any of that, showed little initiative and it was our amazing vendors - photographer, bar staff and venue who stepped in. This person took advantage, claiming her experience is greater than it is, running late to planning calls claiming she was in another conference. We are grateful for our amazing family and friends who stepped in. But I felt Vanessa misrepresented herself. I've never been so upset with someone and hate leaving negative reviews. But the truth is Vanessa took advantage of a couple on what should have been a sweet day. I heard a ton of complaints from family later, "she was kind of just there, standing around, but I don't know what she did." I don't understand the value she brought to our wedding. She was essentially an uninvited guest who took cake and alcohol without requesting permission from the bride and groom. And at the end of the night, she was thrilled, "relax...it's perfect," while I was trying my hardest to bite my tongue, be courteous, and not let anything upset me. My day would have been perfect if we did not hire this company. It's so disappointing and I learned just how dishonest Vanessa is. But I was raised to be fair and honest, and to fight for what is right, which I fully intend to. I hope the next couples will rethink hiring this company.Perfect Weddings and Events's reply:
I am sorry to hear of your interpretation of what occurred at your wedding. I went above and beyond for your wedding just like all the other couples who have reviewed my work. I actually added on duties for you at no extra costs and am saddened that you would discredit my work to nothing. I am, however, relieved that your complaint to the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection showed that you have no validity of recovery.
