Working with Carla was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
From the very beginning, she brought such a calm, steady presence to the entire planning process. Weddings come with so many moving pieces, but Carla has this incredible ability to make everything feel organized, manageable, and thoughtfully handled. Her attention to detail is truly remarkable! She thinks of everything before you even realize you might need it and makes sure you know what to expect.
By the time our wedding day arrived, I felt completely at peace knowing Carla was there. She handled everything behind the scenes with such care and precision, allowing Ed and me to be fully present with our family, friends, and each other. The entire day flowed so beautifully, and that is entirely because of the work Carla put in.
But beyond her professionalism and talent, Carla is simply a wonderful human being. She is warm, kind, thoughtful, and deeply invested in the couples she works with. You can truly feel how much she cares. Throughout the process she was not only incredibly organized and dependable, but also reassuring and supportive in moments throughout the wedding day when things can start to feel overwhelming.
Our wedding day would not have been as seamless, joyful, and special without her. We are endlessly grateful for everything she did for us and feel so lucky that she was part of such an important day in our lives.

Carla truly sought to meet our needs even when that meant getting creative or taking a less practical route. She has great knowledge within the industry, making her a great fit with other vendors. Carla was a very professional and thorough wedding planner and was great to work with. My daughter had a quick timeline for her wedding, about seven months from the time she got engaged to her wedding date, and it was a huge help to have Carla guide us through the process.
She recommended vendors and helped us with some tricky situations with some vendors, saving us money in the process. Overall, she kept us sane and made sure we had everything under control. My daughter is very organized, but there was so much we didn't know since she is the first in the family to get married. Carla made sure we knew about everything for the entire weekend, what was required along the way, and constantly updated us as necessary.
She and her assistant were there the entire day of the wedding, overseeing every detail, which made the wedding so enjoyable for all of us. I don't know how anyone does it without a planner - it would be so difficult, considering all the details that are involved. We did the full service package considering the short timeline and it was so helpful. Carla did a fantastic job as our wedding planner! We opted for the “partial planning” package. She provided us list of any and every vendor specific to our wants, attended final meetings and ran the show day of.
On the day of, she set up all the decor and made the day run smoothly! We had a sudden rain storm pop-up for the start time of our outdoor ceremony - she rearranged the timeline and made our dreams come true! She also helped us managed some wedding crashers with grace and professionalism!

When we became overwhelmed or anything went wrong in our planning process, carla was there to solve the problem promptly and give us an even better solution than we had previously thought of. I cannot truly say enough good things about Carla and Perfect Peony Events!! Nothing I mentioned to her that I wanted for the wedding day was too small or insignificant, or overlooked. Carla is super attentive to detail, very responsive, and genuinely just so sweet. It was a pleasure having her help out with my day. Everything went so smoothly, no hitches or hiccups whatsoever. Carla even worked some of her own creativity into the day, and just made it all the more magical! Even my family members were telling me how impressed they were by her and that she is a little powerhouse, haha! I honestly saw her smiling the entire night, and you can tell she really loves what she does and she's found her calling! Whatever awards she can be nominated for, I'm voting for her! She has an incredible work ethic, and anyone would be lucky and blessed to have her on their team to help their wedding dreams come true!! She did so many small things that meant so much to me, like ensuring we got to try some of the food at our cocktail hour, helping ease my nerves before walking down the aisle, putting our cake Topper out, and even helping to bustle my dress! She also just said the nicest things after our ceremony. I made a "Highlights from the Day" list that I can look back on later to remember everything from the wedding day, and her asking me if I was blown away by my husnands vows, and her telling me how genuine they seemed, is on my "Highlights" list. This is your sign to book Carla as your wedding planner. We had a few unique elements to our wedding - cakes as centerpieces (rather than flowers), Chinese tea ceremony, lion dancers, bubble tea hour (instead of cocktail hour), t-shirt toss, 2nd dance with a yoga ball (think contact ballet with a yoga ball), and so much more. Carla gave us great feedback on our ideas and helped expand it even more to make it even better. If you want a unique wedding with a wow factor - book Carla! She encouraged us to incorporate things to elevate the guest experience, and our guests had the best time!
The decor is something that I struggle with, but she did such an incredible job instructing what we should get and our decor looked absolutely fabulous! Leading up to the event, she did a thorough run through of our schedule to make sure we felt comfortable with everything and how the timeline went!
Day-of she and her team did an incredible job setting everything up, cleaning up, and even got the keys to our hotel room that night. She made the wedding of our dreams come true, and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

Carla was tremendous help throughout planning our wedding. We started planning our NC wedding whilst in Chicago and she helped to find us vendors we could trust and took much stress off our plates. Carla was recommended to me by a friend, and I am beyond happy that I chose her to be my wedding planner. When sharing details about my plans for our wedding, Carla reacted in a way that made me feel more like she was a close friend rather than a stranger. Where do I begin? I cannot put into words just how grateful I am for Carla’s wedding planning services for my wedding. At the beginning of wedding planning my head started spinning not knowing where to start. My husband and I would try to research what we wanted after work but we were too exhausted to get anything done. Within 2 weeks we decided we needed professional help. I was fortunate that Perfect Peony Events was one of the first wedding planners that came up! Carla responded within a few hours of my inquiry and made time for a phone call 15 minutes of her response! I could automatically sense her organizational skills, wedding experience, and professionalism from our phone call. She was personable and was interested in getting to know us and what we wanted for our wedding. For the first time I didn’t feel stressed about wedding planning just from our first conversation. When my husband and I called her back to hire her she had already inquired with a venue for us! We were shocked how helpful she was willing to be before we even hired her! We went with Carla’s full package services and I’m so glad we did! We didn’t have to inquire vender services or follow up with them, worry about asking venders the right questions, or keep everything organized. Between us both working full time and having busy life’s Carla was a HUGE relief. She would present to us the best 3-5 options for our wedding vision which made decisions so easy! Carla has a wide variety of connections with venders in the industry. She connected us with the perfect fit of businesses to work with. You could tell her reputation proceeded her with how highly my venders spoke of her. When we interviewed venders she’d join the call to advocate our wishes. She didn’t speak over us. She would only add additional questions when we were done. She has a way of balancing taking initiative herself and letting us. We never felt pressured towards any decision and knew she’d weed out what wasn’t our vision. She was so efficient that we were able to book all our main venders within 4 months! We were able to relax and enjoy our engagement! Without the ongoing stress wedding planning we were able to stay excited about our dream wedding!! During the month of our wedding I kept worrying if we were accommodating our guests enough, or if it was ok to be nontraditional about certain things. Carla would reassure me simply with, “This is your wedding! If this is what you want we’re doing it!” Having her in our corner kept me from letting the opinions of others come in between my dream wedding. Our wedding day was a blur of so many things happening. What helped me be present and take it all in was not having to worry about venders arriving on time or directing people where to go. I was able to only worry about taking care of myself since Carla had everything under control. This helped me enjoy every moment, eat enough, and focus on what mattered most, marrying my best friend. Carla even set up our decorations and tables! I will never forget how I felt like a princess just before walking down the aisle when I saw the finished florals, China plates, lit candles and decorations. All our hard work came to life and it was even more perfect than what I imagined! With each step down the aisle I kept screaming on the inside “Is this even real?” “How am I living this fairy tale?” Well a lot of the reason was Carla! Our reception was incredible! We had the time of our life celebrating with our loved ones! So many of our guests said “This was the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to!” and “This was the most fun I’ve ever had!”. When we decided to get married in Charleston, SC a wedding planner was a must-have, especially since we're both from out-of-state and don't have any friends or family based in the area. We met with a few different highly rated options, and decided to choose Perfect Peony and Carla to plan our wedding with us. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Carla was there for us with a Zoom, text, or call, whenever we needed her - recommended incredible vendors, made suggestions to help us stay within our planned budget when necessary, and always had great advice, feedback, and suggestions. Let me preface this by saying, my fiancée and I are die-hard spreadsheet people. Like we had everything planned out to the square inch on a dozen different spreadsheets. Our venue (All Saints Chapel in Raleigh, NC) requires a Day of Coordinator and thank goodness they do. This led us to meeting Carla at Perfect Peony Events. Her six month coordination package comes with impeccable communication, vendor visits, a DoC, and her own personal treasure trove of wedding paraphernalia. All of which we took advantage of by the end of the wedding weekend.
As the Day approached, Carla must have said "I'll handle it" more than a dozen times. I suspect she did even more work for us than I even realize. And let me tell you, in the two weeks leading up to a 120 person wedding weekend extravaganza, those are the most beautiful words you can possibly hear from a vendor.
On the Big Day, Carla was by our side from literally morning to well after 10pm. She held hands, wiped tears, encouraged, managed, and just generally made the day infinitely less stressful for us. She made executive decisions during the ceremony that saved us time and energy. She brought her own wedding décor that we had selected ahead of time and set up the bundles we had brought (family photos, bathroom baskets, etc). She was just somehow everywhere all at once and simultaneously always there when we needed her. In addition, she helped organized the load out of all of our personal items, so that we could run off to the after party with our family and friends.
We can't thank her enough for her services, time, effort, and most importantly pure talent and genuine camaraderie in what turned out to be, as cliché as it sounds, the best, busiest, and most beautiful day of our lives.Perfect Peony Events's reply:

Worth the money!
You will not find a more affordable wedding planner who offers as much value as Carla does. she truly is amazing.
I originally planned to only hire a day of coordinator due to how expensive most wedding planners are. I almost gave up on hiring anyone after receiving numerous, expensive, quotes from other event planners. I was also on a time crunch (planning my wedding in 8 months) which meant a lot of wedding vendors were already booked. I started to feel helpless - I needed the help, but couldn’t afford to pay for it.
I’m not sure how I stumbled upon Perfect Peony Events, but Carla was a life saver. Our wedding date was the last Saturday Carla had available and I knew it was meant to be. I hired her as our wedding planner. Not only did she help me book the remaining vendors quickly, but she found very affordable vendor options!
Trusting someone with your wedding is a big deal. It is one of the most special days of your life and you don’t want to put someone in charge who is not reliable. Let me tell you, Carla is very reliable.
She was professional, kind, supportive, and kept everyone in line/on time in the best way. Her team even decorated and clean up at the end of the night! Carla and her assistant truly made our wedding day special.

We chose Perfect Peony Events from several states away after talking to several coordinators. After talking to her on the phone I knew Carla was the one to coordinate my wedding day. She is extremely detail oriented and thorough at her job. A lot that was out of all of our control went wrong on my wedding day and she handled it ALL and fixed everything. Half of my food order wasn’t delivered and she dealt with that. She made sure everyone got food, made sure they brought the rest speedily, and negotiated compensation for us. She was even serving food at one point. She kept our extremely large family and wedding party straight for rehearsal, the procession, and the grand entrance. My timeline became extremely out of wack due to the catering issue and she rolled with it and made every last minute change look like it was planned all along. She helped clean up decorations and really was doing way more than just coordinating throughout the entire day. It’s evident by her work that she has a ton of experience and knowledge about weddings. My other venders that have done a ton of weddings were very impressed with her. I had no idea what I was doing and she filled in all the gaps and eased my MANY anxieties. I seriously can not recommend Perfect Peony Events enough. We would have crashed and burned without Carla there. We weren’t sure if getting a coordinator was necessary at first but we are extremely glad we made the investment because it definitely was necessary. I originally wasn't planning on booking a month-of coordinator for my wedding but as it got closer to the day I'm extremely grateful that I did! Carla was extremely professional, responsive, and detail-oriented. I think my wedding was a little more complicated than most because we had the ceremony and reception in different locations that were far apart from each other but Carla helped to come up with the best plan to use our time and resources on the day of. Where do I even begin?! Carla is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine what our wedding would have been like without her... and I'm glad I don't have to! I wasn't going to have a coordinator at all, but about a month out from the wedding, I decided to go with Carla, and it was the best decision I could have made. She went above and beyond to help make the wedding planning and day-of smooth and easy. She was SO on top of things and remembered everything we planned and then executed it seamlessly. Everyone in my family, including my super shy niece, adored Carla and commented on how hard she worked to make our day a huge success. Oh and did I mention that she has a ton of decor you can choose from to rent for free? She really has an eye for style and her attention to detail is on point. Ladies, if you're on the fence about whether or not to hire a coordinator, let me just tell you YES - do it! And hire Carla. You will not be disappointed!Perfect Peony Events's reply:

Carla was helpful from the beginning! She offered to be my wedding planner, she paid close attention to each detail of my wedding! It was PERFECT! her inventory is beautiful and she has a great understanding of the bride!Perfect Peony Events's reply:
