We could not be more thankful that we had our wedding at the Pavilion at the Angus Barn! The venue is lovely and offers so many options. We would have been happy with either option for an indoor or outdoor ceremony, which eased so much worry. The food was absolutely delicious and we heard so many comments from guests about the meal. (We got the plated duo so we could have plated appetizers; the appetizers were our favorite part and people raved about how delicious the chicken was!) We also found it very easy to communicate dietary restrictions and the venue ensured these needs were met. Our absolute favorite part of our experience with the Angus Barn, though, was our coordinator, Melissa. She was so organized, responsive, flexible, and detail-oriented. She had a knack for assuaging our worries and was so timely in her communication. Melissa helped us plan and implement the perfect day! While there is a cost associated with such an inclusive, well-rounded venue, it was really worth every penny. Thank you to the Pavilion and their team for such a wonderful day! -

The Angus Barn Pavilion is a superb one-stop shop wedding venue that I cannot recommend enough. My husband and I were married there in March 2024, and we are still receiving comments about how it was the "best" wedding many of our guests have ever attended. (Of course, we have to agree!) The Angus Barn staff have considered every detail to ensure a wonderful guest experience — from the timing of the ceremony and reception, to the pacing of courses for dinner, room layouts, weather contingency plans, etc. As a gay couple, the staff also went above and beyond to ensure the space itself was welcoming and inclusive. We were also impressed by how many services are included in-house, like day-of coordinator, table linens, glassware, and basic decor elements that other venues would have charged extra for or even required us to find an additional vendor. Now, an added bonus to having a wedding at the Angus Barn is that the venue then becomes an extra special place for anniversaries and other milestone celebrations. We look forward to visiting several times each year! -

I can't say enough wonderful things about our excellent wedding experience at The Pavillion at Angus Barn. Ali T, our event coordinator, was extremely professionalism, helpful, and kind. She guided us through the process and took care of the details so we could truly enjoy the wedding day.
The venue is beautiful. Our wedding took place outside with the lake as the backdrop but it was a relief to know we had a rain plan in place in case it was needed. We had ample seating outside for the wedding and inside for the reception, dinner, and dancing for our 240 guests. The ambience for the evening was perfect.
Our guests raved about the delicious appetizers and drinks during cocktail hour as well as the plated dinner of steak, chicken, green beans, au gratin potatoes, and chocolate chess pie. The food was served hot and came out at the perfect pace for the evening. The bartending staff and servers were friendly and professional.
If you want a "worry free" and top-notch wedding event, The Pavillion at Angus Barn is highly recommended. It was nice to find a venue that was straight forward with their pricing and didn't nickel and dime you for each glass, silverware, and tablecloth you used. You won't be disappointed with the excellent experience and service you will receive at the Pavillion at Angus Barn. -

Amazing!!!!
Our experience with Angus Barn was incredible for our wedding! All of our guests went on and on about the service, food, and overall experience for months after. Ali, our coordinator at the Pavilion, went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were taken care of while also looking out for our guests and making sure their needs were met as well. I can’t say enough good things about our experience and I have no regrets in choosing the Pavilion for our wedding! -

June Wedding at Angus Barn
We had our wedding at the Pavilion in June 2023 and have endless good things to say about our experience. The venue is beautiful and versatile. We lucked out with good weather, but the different options for ceremony spaces gave us a lot of peace of mind during planning. The food was also incredible and I am still getting compliments four months later that is was the best wedding food people had ever tasted. Above all else though the staff made for the best experience. We worked with Melissa as our venue coordinator and she was absolutely amazing, very organized, experienced, and made everyone feel comfortable and special throughout the day. If you are looking for a venue space, caterer, planner, or all the above around Raleigh, Angus Barn is the best! -

We had our wedding at the Angus Barn Pavilion on Memorial Day weekend, and I cannot say enough good things about the venue and the staff. From the first time we visited the spectacular setting down by the lake, we knew the venue was perfect for us, and the Pavilion with the beautiful lights already installed looked absolutely spellbinding. They were very accommodating when we had to move our wedding a year because of COVID, and our wedding planner Kelly was fantastic, coordinating with all the vendors and making sure the day went absolutely seamlessly. No request was too much for Kelly and her staff – and we wanted to say thank you for the part they played in our amazing day. -

We had such an incredible time celebrating our wedding at the angus barn Pavillion that we wish we can get married again to relive our celebration! From the moment we took a tour at the Pavillion, we had nothing but the best customer service. The Pavillion gives you a day of coordinator who is amazing and is an email or call away from answering any questions. There is also a bridal and groom suite available onsite (we didn’t know this until we toured).
My husband and I are foodies and chose this venue because of the food options and because the Pavillion is beautiful inside and out. The pictures don’t do it Justice, I recommend touring the facility to captivate its beauty! The food tasting was a great time for us too, we enjoyed trying the variety of appetizers and main courses. Their chocolate chess pie is also an Angus Barn staple and a must for your wedding day!
Our plan was to get married in front of the lake on the day of our wedding but it rained so we went to plan b and got married inside. The Angus Barn staff did an amazing job transforming the room to go from ceremony to reception. It was beyond beautiful.
Needless to say, our guest loved the venue and event staff. We are so happy we chose this venue and look forward to making a dinner reservation for our wedding anniversary every year! -

The Pavilion at the Angus Barn was the PERFECT wedding venue! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the location, staff, and food. The hospitality shown to us (bride/groom) and all of our guests was exceptional, and our guests are still raving about the food. Sarah, our event coordinator, was amazing! Her patience and very prompt responses to the million of emails that were needed to plan a wedding with 3 different dates during a pandemic was greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to Sarah and all of the staff at The Pavilion for making our wedding day so special! -

I called my dad that day and said I have found the place I want to get married...fast forward 4 years and my dream came true! I have worked with the staff at AB for work and now my wedding and each time they are amazing! They take care of every need, detail, etc. Kelly Joslin was my coordinator there and I can't say enough great things about her. She was a dream to work with and came to the rescue when my wedding planner (independent planner we had hired) was unable to fulfill her contract. The Pavilions beauty is breathtaking! The food that night was amazing, our guests kept raving about it. From the time I booked till we left that night after the reception, Kelly and the whole AB staff made our wedding day the best. Worth the money! -

Katie-Ann Sent on 12/06/2014The Angus Barn is near and dear to our hearts as we have celebrated here multiple times for various occasions such as birthdays and graduations. With all of these celebrations and occasions we have celebrated at The Barn, we have never experienced anything such as the Wine Cellar Experience. We celebrated in the Wine Cellar for our rehearsal dinner and the service was impeccable. We were so impressed with the staff and the service. The food was delicious as ever.
We had a groom's cake made and brought to The Angus Barn from our bakery and the staff did an excellent job setting it up with an extra small table as requested and our engagement pictures on either side of the cake. The Christmas decorations were up and the whole room and restaurant as a whole was more than impressive. The host of the night went into thorough detail about the history of the room and pieces in the room as well as why each wine was chosen for each course. The staff did a great job making sure drinks were full and the coordinated and synchronized serving was fantastic.
Our family is still talking about how excellent our Rehearsal dinner was and we highly recommend using the Angus Barn for any event or occasion that you may have! -

They do weddings everyday of every weekend and the servers and event planners know how to go out of their way to make sure you and your guests have everything they need.
The food was amazing, all my guests were very impressed! We did the surf and turf buffet which included 3 passed appetizers, cheese and cracker station, and 3 desserts in addition to the buffet choices for about one hundred per person. We also decide to add a raw bar with raw oysters and crab claws (HUGE crab claws) which were also very memorable for our guests.
We choose to do the ceremony inside near the fireplace (it was beautiful) because we were worried about the airport traffic but with everything going on that day we never even noticed a plane going over, we cant remember even one! that was my biggest worry when picking this venue and it never even mattered. The outside patio is beautiful and I would say don't be worried about the planes. go for it!
We choose a sunday in oct because there were no saturdays available a year ahead of time, book early if you need a saturday! It worked in our benefit because the minimum required by angus barn and rental fee for the space saved us a few thousand dollars on sunday.
we picked october because the pavilion does not have A/C, they do have fans to set up but I was worried about my guest becoming uncomfortable. It was a sunny day about 70 degrees getting down to 50 at night, if anyone got hot from all the dancing they could go outside and cool off.
If it had been colder they do have heaters. Also my guests really enjoyed the fire pit!
When looking at raleigh venues don't be discouraged by the angus barn minimums and service fee. After that they don't try to nickel and dime you for extras like other venues. And there is no better wedding venue food available in town (except maybe the Umstead but you'd pay three times more)
