Katy is the best!
KATY IS THE BEST! Words cannot describe how absolutely amazing Katy is! She was essential to making our special day out of this world. She not only worked with us and supported us throughout the entire planning process, but on the day of our wedding she was absolutely incredible and ensured everything went smoothly, allowing us to enjoy our day absolutely stress free. Everything about our wedding day far exceeded our expectations. She was a calming voice and handled everything for us so we could enjoy every moment of our wedding. She coordinated all of our vendors, ensured everything looked absolutely stunning, accommodated last minute guests who we were not anticipating, accommodated all of our little detailed requests, took care of us throughout the day and so much more. All we had to do was show up and get ready and everything was taken care of and absolutely perfect. She made our wedding vision come to life (in fact, far exceeded our wildest dreams for our special day) and is a pleasure to work with and a genuinely amazing person. Please do yourself a favor and book Katy as your wedding planner, I promise you will be beyond happy with the results!!-

AMAZING Coordinator!
Katy was the first vendor we booked after picking our venue because she was their #1 recommendation. And she was absolutely the best choice in our wedding planning process. She was super responsive throughout the 18 months leading up to our wedding, had awesome ideas for how to make things flow and work together, and she was an absolute godsend the wedding weekend. My husband and I were able to be fully present in our wedding weekend because we knew Katy was taking care of things. I remember distinctly how she was there keeping the timeline on track, bustling my dress, making sure we had food and drinks during our photo sessions. She just went above and beyond in all aspects. If you’re considering hiring Katy, don’t hesitate, just do it! -

Katy will ensure you have your dream wedding
I spent my entire wedding day floating in a peaceful cloud of love, and as much as I love my husband, Katy deserves the lion share of the credit for running everything so smoothly in the background. I'm normally an anxious, type A planner personality—but Katy is so phenomenally good at her job, and appears so unruffled while doing it, that I was able to completely let go of any worries on the big day and simply enjoy. She remembered every last tiny detail, and we received countless compliments from our guests on how well the event was run. I cannot recommend her enough! -

You NEED Katy on your wedding day!
Katy came highly recommended by our venue, Calipaso, where she has worked many times and we hired her as our month of coordinator. She was extremely helpful putting us in contact with other local vendors in the area. Throughout the planning process, any time I had a question (no matter how random) she would always have an answer for me. I was also very impressed with her quick email response time! The day of our wedding I had complete confidence and peace of mind that Katy would execute my vision and handle every small detail so that we could enjoy the day. I cannot recommend her enough- she is organized, kind, patient, helpful and understanding. Hire her immediately! -

Absolutely fantastic wedding!
I couldn’t have planned our destination wedding so perfectly without the help of Katy Smith! Her recommendations for all our vendors were excellent. Katy responded to my emails and texts promptly and her calm and professional demeanor helped get me through some stressful moments due to iffy weather. Our wedding day was perfectly executed and I had 100% confidence that Katy would handle any glitches that might possibly pop up. She didn’t skip a beat. Katy gets my highest recommendation! She's just THE BEST!

Katy is truly the best! She made our wedding day so perfect and way better than we could’ve possibly imagined.
We hired Katy just over a year before our wedding at Eberle. We decided to go with her full coordinating package since my husband and I did not have a lot of time outside of work to fully plan our wedding. From day one Katy was responsive and helpful. We did contact other coordinators but she outshined them in our honest opinion. She helped us get some of the best vendors and gave us her honest opinion of each one. She was a major help with timeline and keeping in touch with vendors. Katy was a major help with making sure each vendor on the wedding day knew the timeline and where to be. When it came to the wedding day, she was a rockstar! My husband and I are still in awe about how perfectly everything lined up from the timing of the sunset during our ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. I highly recommend going with Katy as your wedding planner. We are so glad she was a part of our special day.-

Detail-oriented, calm, and very helpful!
We hired Katy to help us plan our wedding in addition to coordinating the day of and I honestly don't know what we would have done without her! She made our wedding day so flawless, we didn't stress for a minute or need to think about any sort of coordination, instead we just relaxed and had the best day of our entire lives.
In addition to making the day of the wedding smooth, Katy answered my 1 million questions over the course of a year and helped us find the perfect vendors and make all sorts of decisions. Her network of vendors on the central coast is amazing and really helped us since we aren't local to the area.
On top of all of this, Katy is such a joy to work with and has a very calming presence. We never had to stress about anything and she made the entire wedding planning process fun and enjoyable.
I highly recommend hiring Katy for your day, she is the best and you won't regret it!!-

Here's to a stress-free wedding!
Katy and her assistant Heidi were both absolutely fantastic to work with! Planning a wedding in California while living in Chicago during a pandemic could have been extremely nerve-racking but having Katy with me every step of the way made it a breeze. She was able to help us figure everything out, suggesting ideas we hadn't even thought of and coordinating all the moving pieces with ease. And because she is so familiar with the Paso area and other vendors, I wasn't stressed one bit with any of her recommendations.
On the day of the wedding Heidi made everything run smooth and my husband and I were able to truly enjoy our day. People would always ask me if I was stressed out leading up to the wedding and I could honestly tell them no, because I knew everything was being handled - thanks to Katy!
I could not recommend hiring Katy as your coordinator enough. You owe it to yourself to truly enjoy a stress-free wedding day and Katy will help you achieve this! -

Katy Smith is absolutely amazing! She has this calming and positive attitude that helped me ease any of my nerves before the big day. I was in awe watching Katy work the day of my wedding because she was so efficient and created my vision just right. She is so professional and is the hardest worker. Such a pleasure to work with!
Katy was amazing at handling everything with our wedding! We originally had our wedding planned for 3/28/2020 and when we had to postpone 10 days before the wedding, Katy was fantastic! She contacted all of the vendors and helped us quickly find a new date and made sure all the vendors were available! Her response time is amazing and she is very organized! The week of the wedding, she was readily available and made sure all of our specifications from last year were still correct! The day of the wedding she was amazing and kept my husband and I on track and because of her our wedding went off without a hitch, at least that I knew about! Katy is extremely professional and a joy to work with! -

As crazy as planning a wedding in 2020 was, Katy made the whole thing possible and was attentive with the information that kept changing. Katy was calm, and incredibly understanding with all of the changes that had to be made. We were so lucky to have Katy help us with our wedding. -

Responsive and Stress Free
We hired Katy and her assistant Heidi for month of/day of coordination. I sent Katy so many questions before hand and she was always super responsive with wonderful advice. Good thing there isn't additional charges for random questions! We did a walk through of the venue a few months before hand and then at the rehearsal we went over our vision and what decorations were going where. They had thoughtful questions for me to ensure what we wanted is what happened. The day of the wedding was stress free with everything being set up and some modifications for wind implemented. There's no way our wedding day would have been so smooth without them! I also really enjoyed the timelines that were put together and being kept on task for what details I still needed to provide. Highly recommended! -

Wedding Coordinator
Katy was phenomenal!! We hired her for her month-of and day-of services 6 weeks before my wedding. I honestly hired Katy to help me re-plan our cancelled/rescheduled/replanned/changed (COVID changes) wedding at a new venue. She was professional, organized, and very very helpful. Her knowledge and connections helped us find a new caterer 4 weeks before the event as well as assisted us throughout the day with not only coordinator stuff but acted as our DJ who we decided not to re-hire. She also allowed my aunt who is very much into decorating and details assist her on the day of with decor and allowed her vision as well as mine come to life without any pushback. She was relaxed, responsive to my needs and changes, and made not only the day but the month before run so smoothly. I honestly don’t know how I thought I was going to do this day (or even month prior to) without her. I HIGHLY recommend Katy to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator in the Central Coast. She will make you comfortable and relaxed throughout the process and help you make your wedding dreams come true!! Thank you Katy!! -

Couldn’t have done this without her!!
We couldn’t have pulled off this wedding without her! Her knowledge, professionalism and her willingness to go over and beyond for our day was priceless to us! If you are wondering if it’s worth it to you to hire a planner.. SHE IS! She set us up with the perfect hairstylist, flowers, and the photographer was the best in business, just like Katie! We couldn’t have been happier and we didn’t have to worry or stress over anything! Our day was perfect! I don’t recall what she charged, but it was way under what we felt she was worth!-

Absolutely Perfect!
We got married three weeks ago and it was absolutely stunning because of Katy's attention to detail! All of our guests said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to and that could not have been possible without Katy's expertise!
Katy was extremely responsive from the very beginning and offered solutions immediately. Since this was a destination wedding, I was a bit nervous about coordinating everything. Katy took the stress out of planning and the day of execution. She also worked extremely well with the other vendors and communicated with them flawlessly to make it a perfect day! We had the dream team of vendors!!
Most importantly, Katy is a very nice and honest person. She was so fun to work with and has a positive attitude. She was calm and collected during the whole process. Not to mention it was about a 100 degrees on our wedding day!
If you are thinking of booking Katy, DO IT! She is a professional at a reasonable price. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better! Thank you Katy for making our big day flawless!! -

Made our wedding magical!!
Our venue made it a requirement for us to have a month of wedding planner. Little did I know it would be the best money I spent for the entire wedding. Katy took all the stress out of planning and the day of. She also is so fun to work with. There are so many things that make Katy stand out...here's just a few:
1) Attention to detail: She really listened to the vision we had for our wedding, picking up on little things we said we liked and then made it happen. For example, we had briefly mentioned that we like our red wine chilled...then she made sure the venue had all our red wine chilled.
2) Behind the scenes: There were so many times throughout the planning process that Katy would work her magic behind the scenes without me knowing it. Whether it was reaching out to our officiant to coach and prep him, to working with the vendors directly, and only pinging me when I absolutely needed to be involved. It really made the planning process stress-free
3) Cost Conscious: There were numerous times that Katy suggested ways to save us money, while enhancing our wedding. For example, the venue had gold chargers that a previous wedding had left behind...Katy worked with the venue to get them for us at an almost zero cost. Or secured an easel from the venue for not cost...saving me money and one less thing I had to worry about bringing to the wedding.
I can't say enough great things about Katy. She's THE BEST!! -

We were married on 4/20/19 and our experience with Katy was excellent. We met with several wedding planners but Katy was by far the best. She is easy to work with, professional, organized and has a great relationship with other vendors. Our wedding was flawless, planning was easy and stress free and everything came out beautiful. Stress Free Wedding Planning
My husband and I got married in Paso Robles, CA. Since we lived out of town we decided to hire a wedding planner. Katy was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding date. Katy was kind and patient and did not try to push certain vendors on us. She had many recommendations for all vendors with prices and contracts following each recommendation. She was quick to respond and was very easy to talk to. I had many of my vendors and friends compliment Katy on her attentive schedule, which she was able to produce multiple months in advance and tweaked it when added or getting rid of certain things. Katy was readily available when we traveled into Paso Robles as well. She assured that she communicated with all vendors. I never had to contact a vendor to book to get details. I reached out to Katy for all vendor inquiries and she was able to get accurate information from all vendors, including our officiant and cousin 3 towns away making our wedding cake. There is not one single detail that I had to worry about because Katy had it all under control. All we had to do was pick from the recommended vendors and say "that one" and she took care of the rest. So much ease its difficult to put into words because we hardly had to do anything besides show up with a smile! The day of the wedding things went very smooth. She assured my husband and I were stress free along with making my parents comfortable. She assured we knew exactly what was going on ahead of time and where we needed to be next without making us feel rushed. If you plan on getting married in her area I highly recommend giving her a chance in helping you reduce your stress for your big day! -

A calming organized ninja!
Katy was the best! She was so helpful and organized for our event we felt completely comfortable. Each time we came to something that felt overwhelming or unknown she was on it. She helped with numbers for ordering, suggestions for ceremony and reception she handled our entire timeline and was available via text, phone or email anytime we needed her. We live in Pasadena and had our wedding in Paso Robles and felt so confident with her as our planner! Her price was completely reasonable and more affordable than most in the area if not all. Also every vendor she suggested was spot on! If we had to do it all over again we would hire her again and again! Thank you, Katy for a day we will never forget! -

I hired Katy based on a recommendation by a venue site that I didn’t end up going with. I planned most of the details but Katy really helped as we got closer to our wedding date with details, order of the ceremony, and helping us with things we didn’t even think about! Skilled and experienced wedding planner
When we interviewed for a wedding planner, we found Katy to be the best fit for our wedding! She was calm, confident, friendly, and had great follow through. She helped bring our wedding together and made things flow smoothly on the wedding day! Her responsiveness to our many emails was very helpful leading up to the wedding and we depended on her for guidance. When we ran out of red wine, she knew to ask us for approval before notifying the venue. She's well known at Calipaso and quickly updated us when there was a change to the venue decoration which saved us a lot of $$. We gave her so many decorations to help set up but she remembered them all after just one run through of the items. I could not have asked for a better wedding and I know we owe that to Katy. Day of Wedding
We had Katy for the day of our wedding. We were from out of town and she was very helpful with recommendations for local vendors or if there was an issue with a vendor she took care of it. She was very organized and thought of all the things you don’t think of while planning a wedding. She was so sweet, easy to work with, and did an amazing job on our wedding. We had 6 months to plan our wedding so I knew a wedding planner was a must. After looking through many options on wedding wire, I saw Katy’s profile and liked her presentation & professionalism. During our initial meeting she listened intently & took notes on what we wanted to achieve for our special day. Moving forward, she gave good recommendations, understood our budget, & always answered our questions promptly. When wedding day arrived I was confident Katy had every detail dialed and that she had communicated with each vendor so they knew the plan. Katy handled everything beautifully and the day was perfect. As an event planner myself, it is normally difficult for me to attend events and not want to fix mistakes. With Katy at the helm, I was able to “let go” and enjoy every minute of the day, especially since there were no mistakes! If you are trying to decide if you actually need a wedding planner, do it. Katy was worth every cent. She brought a calmness to the planning & was fantastic from start to finish. -

This review is long overdue! If you are having a wedding in Paso Robles or anywhere near then you should definitely use Paso Wedding Smith. Katy is amazing! My husband and I picked out and and reached out to a majority of our vendors which was stressful, but once Katy got involved she made all the stress and worries go away. She is so kind and flexible and has an extreme amount of knowledge when it comes to weddings and vendors in the area. I told myself before the wedding to prepare for something to not go right and to remain calm, but everything turned out perfect and Katy was a big reason for that. I think the only thing that went wrong was we ran out of beer, but Katy even went to the store to pick more up for us! All of our family and friends also had wonderful things to say about her. She is truly amazing and I am so thankful that she was a part of our big day. Thank you Katy! -

Words cannot express how thankful we are that Katy was our planner. Katy went above and beyond and made our special day amazing. She is responsive, calm, cool, and knowledgeable. Everyone in the Paso area (our venue, other vendors, etc.) LOVES Katy and they were thrilled to be working with her. If you want your wedding day to run perfect and smoothly look no further than to Paso Wedding Smith. I admit, I was a bride that thought a wedding coordinator was a waste of money and had a very "how hard could it be" attitude. The venue I had booked required we hire a coordinator and highly recommended Katy and we both fell in LOVE. Katy has such this ease about her that makes you feel no stress at all. She is incredibly kind, professional and also thinks about things you literally would have never thought of. She handled everything so perfectly. Again, she has such a kind and quiet demeanor but she is that silent go-getter. I have heard wedding horror stories and there was literally not a single hiccup at my wedding (or if there was I never knew about it). The food came out when it was supposed to, the cake was there and beautiful, people sat at their table when they were supposed to and I didn't have to worry about a single thing. She was literally the greatest investment I spent for my wedding and truly made my day perfect. My husband and I cannot sing her praises enough as to how much she did and helped with things we didn't even know we needed help with. My husband and I really wanted help considering that our wedding was somewhat destination. We are from Orange County, CA and wanted to find a nice escape for our wedding in wine country. Our venue Calipaso Winery referred us to several wedding planners and Katy Smith was the best fit for us. To simply put it, she is amazing. We are an easy going couple that likes to participate in wedding planning but not every aspect of the event. Katy Smith was extremely flexible if we wanted to be more involved or if she had to take the reigns. She gave us great ideas throughout the whole process and provided cost savings options when appropriate as we were working on a budget.
She was extremely thorough and easy to get a hold of. She used many contacts to give us options as we were planning our wedding to fit the vision that we had. We had a minor glitch with the florist but she was able to provide us with other options quickly so we wouldn't lose the momentum of planning. Coincidentally she was the planner for another wedding the weekend prior at the same venue and was able to save us money on set up cost for lights. Great thinking leads to great planning.
Leading up to the wedding she would check in with us and our progress. She kept in contact with all our vendors to ensure delivery. The day of the wedding, she set up all our decor seamlessly. We were not worried at all during the day. I'm sure there were small issues but it was never brought it our attention as her goal was to make sure that we enjoyed our special moment.
Katy is a great planner but the best part is that she was personable, sympathetic, flexible, kind and warm-hearted. You can tell from your conversations that she loves what she does and only wants the best for her couples. We were extremely to find her and have her help us. Thank you so much Katy! -

You want Katy by your side on your wedding day - trust me. When starting to wedding plan, I wasn't sure I needed a coordinator because I love planning. From the start, in our initial conversation, she talked about us being a team and complimenting each other, which I loved. She keeps track of tons of details but has a very relaxed attitude. She perfectly executed my vision for the day-of from floor plan to table decor. Katy also was great at handling last-minute issues, like my dad wanting to swap table numbers or us missing a groomsman at rehearsal. She stays on top of things so you can focus on other things in the couple weeks leading up to the big day. For example, the stage I ordered 5 months in advance for the band had lost my reservation (despite my turning in the credit card authorization form). This was discovered the week before the wedding and Katy was able to find an available (more expensive) stage to rent AND got them to match the price of the old stage, after explaining what happened. By the time I even knew there was a problem, the solution was well underway. Katy is the best money I spent on the wedding for sure. -

I don't know where to begin. I was skeptical of using a wedding planner because my wife had already done so much on her own. But let me tell you Katy was amazing and I'm so glad we used her services. Don't wait call her at the start and you won't regret it. She is patient and kind, had lots of great ideas, did most of the set up and kept everything on track. If you're getting married in the Paso or SLO area and don't hire the WeddingSmith then you've made a mistake! Katy is amazing and our wedding was perfect with her as our coordinator. Katy went above and beyond, flawlessly executing everything and making the day go seamlessly. We hired her to be our Day of Coordinator, but she helped with recommendations prior to the day, met with us and coordinated constantly months prior to our wedding. I would highly recommend Katy to any bride or groom for their big day, and insist that you book her for her 'all inclusive' package. The extra cost of the 'all inclusive' package was worth having unlimited communication with her the entire wedding planning process. This ensured that if a dilemma came up, if big changes need to be made, or last minute details fine tuned, she would be there to make sure it got done. She made planning our wedding fun and stress free. Katy was not only organized and efficient, but she was prompt at responding to any questions or concerns we had, or information we were seeking. Katy had amazing and unique suggestions for anything from catering to florists to traveling dessert trucks. Her calm demeanor put us at ease during the entire wedding planning process, but most importantly, on our big day. Everything ran smoothly, she was attentive to every detail. I hadn't originally planned on hiring a wedding coordinator but the venue I picked required one and boy was I thankful to have Katy by my side through the entire planning process and for the big day. She is a true pro at what she does! She has an ease about her that is necessary in the wedding planning business but she also remains incredibly professional. She would respond to my emails and phone calls immediately, at times I would send her multiple emails a day. Anything I needed she took care of. My husband and I had a destination wedding; Katy would meet and coordinate with vendors in the area for us. Weeks before the wedding My Hubby and I were having no luck getting a hold of one of our vendors. After multiple texts, calls and emails I was beside myself. I reached out to Katy for help....she had the vendor on the phone and an email from him within an hour!! She is worth every penny and more. -

Katy at Paso WeddingSmith was an amazing help in planning and coordinating our wedding! She really went above and beyond to help us in the month before the wedding and in the days leading up to it. She was always extremely responsive and always had great ideas to help our planning and execution go smoothly. She was particularly helpful with negotiating between us and our venue, who had some particular rules they wanted followed. On the day of, Katy ensured everything was exactly the way I wanted it (and it was complicated!) and took care of any issues as they popped up with professionalism and tact. Wedding Nightmare
TO THIS DAY, MY HUSBAND AND I STILL CRINGE OUR TEETH WHEN WE THINK ABOUT OUR WEDDING DAY. OUR WEDDING VIDEO WAS SENT TO US 4 MONTHS AGO, AND WE HAVE YET TO WATCH IT BECAUSE OF THE WEDDING EXPERIENCE THAT WE HAD.
We hired Katy for a wedding, which we had postponed 3 times. Don't get me wrong, Katy has great communication skills over the phone, and is very responsive and communicative to vendors and is able to help alleviate in those areas, however when it comes to execution during wedding weekend EVERYTHING WENT WRONG.
We started seeing red flags at the wedding rehearsal as we had a large wedding party. Katy was not able to help us delegate the team, coordinate walk, etc, etc. My bridesmaids ended up taking the reign and coordinating on Katy and Heidi's behalf RED FLAG #1. During the second part of our rehearsal, Katy and Heidi were no where to be found, RED FLAG #2.
The day of the wedding, Katy comes to my suite and picks up the rest of the deposit of the check and is no where to be found the rest of the time! RED FLAG #3.
I am to walk down the aisle at this point, RED FLAG #4, there was no one there to cue me on when to walk down! Katy nor Heidi was anywhere to be found! We had the wedding staff including my bridesmaids run from area to area to speak to the DJ on when I should walk down the aisle!
The rest of the wedding KATY was no where! We had our DJ and photographers come up to us maybe 300x throughout the course of our wedding to ask us what to do next.
During dinner, the meal came out 1 hour after appetizers and all guests were hungry and confused! My husband and I had to delegate and work the entire wedding ourselves and were very unhappy and extremely stressed out the entire night.
THEY SAY YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET, Katy assured us that everything was going to go well, however she didn't show up and instead showed herself out during our wedding. She double booked us and left us with Heidi, her assistant and our wedding was the first time Katy's worked with her!
Granted Katy did not deposit our final installment, however we would much rather pay the insignificant installment amount to have the most amazing wedding where we don't have to "work" ourselves than to have to deal with the stress that we had to face the day of our wedding.
Highly do not recommend due to my own personal experiences. My in-laws, and wedding party were mortified. 3 years of planning and thousands and thousands of money invested to have a day of anxiety and memories that we still cringe from. -
