The best people and the best food!

I adored all of my wedding vendors but I think PIGS was the best of them all. My husband is from North Carolina so we wanted a little Southern flair at our reception, and with PIGS we found such a perfect mix of Southern and MD crab, and relaxed yet elevated. Our guests are still talking about how much they loved the food. And Jimmy took such good care of me and my husband all night long -- setting apps and drinks out for us as soon as the ceremony was over, bringing full plates of what we wanted over to us so we didn't have to go to the buffet, and keeping our drinks full -- that we never had to worry about a thing! Lisa, Jimmy & the rest of the team --- we cannot thank you guys enough for making our wedding what it was!!

Above and Beyond Service

P.I.G.S. Catering was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. They arrived ready to work and got set up quickly and efficiently. The very first thing our coordinator said to us when we arrived was that the P.I.G.S. team was phenomenal. The food and bartending service were amazing, and the team was incredibly responsive to the flow of the evening. We had told our wedding party to make a plate of appetizers for us while we were taking family photos after the ceremony, but when we arrived at our sweetheart table, P.I.G.S. had already prepared plates for us. It was those thoughtful little details that truly made our night feel magical. Cleanup at the end of the night was just as smooth and efficient. We highly recommend P.I.G.S. Catering to anyone planning an event.

Amazing Catering Team!

We couldn’t have asked for a better catering team for our wedding day! From start to finish, they were incredibly professional, organized, and attentive to every detail. Lisa communicated very well and was incredibly helpful during the planning process. She was always willing to answer any of my questions! A very special shout-out to our event captain, Pedro, who was absolutely amazing. He was so kind, hardworking, and professional, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed!

The food was absolutely delicious — beautifully presented, full of flavor, and served in generous portions that left everyone more than satisfied. Many of our guests went out of their way to tell us how much they enjoyed the meal and how impressed they were with the service. The hors d'oeuvres also did not disappoint, there were MANY options that PIGs has to choose from and the ones we chose were absolutely delicious!

It was clear that the team truly loves what they do and takes great pride in making each event special. We’re so grateful for their hard work, warmth, and excellence — they helped make our day unforgettable. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch catering with a personal touch!

We loved PIGS

We absolutely loved having PIGS for our wedding! The food was delicious, and everyone had full plates and smiling faces. We heard many people complimenting the food choices. We also loved the service day of. Pedro was our point person day of, and he checked in with us multiple times throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, the staff was great and really knew what they were doing. They were able to get almost 100 people through a buffet line in a quick and organized way!

Great food and wonderful staff

We are so happy P.I.G.S. was our caterer for our daughter's wedding. Our guests are still talking about the delicious, moist and tasty food! There was plenty to satisfy everyone's tastes. Our leftovers are as delicious and fresh tasting as they were the day they served them. Having tasted the food at the restaurant before choosing P.I.G.S. we knew it was good, but somehow it tasted even better catered. The passed appetizers were plentiful, delicious and gracefully served. Our buffet line was fresh, clean and kept full of food at just the right temperature. We can't say enough about how good the food was! It was perfect!

Unbelievably, while the food exceeded our expectations in everyway, it was the staff that P.I.G.S. brought to our home that made all the difference to the event. The team was led by Escarlette who was quick to take in the whole event, see my vision and execute details that no one in the family thought about. Not only was she efficient with the work that needed done for all our guest, but she was so sweet and added unexpected and thoughtful details in caring for the newlyweds. If she or or team saw something that needed to be done, it got done. Her leadership and demeanor created a sense of calm that I needed. I wish I had captured the name of all the staff members as each deserves to be mentioned by name. They were willing to pitch in, never distracted and had their heads up looking for ways to help.

I found the price for the food and staffing to be fair. They were in the mid-point of the estimates we received. Based on the service level, I feel it was a great value.

Wonderful and unique catering for our May 2025 wedding.

We used PIGS for our wedding catering in May 2025 and were extremely pleased with our experience. We were given the opportunity to do a free tasting ahead of time to try out foods and determine which options to finalize as part of our contract and ensure we were happy with our menu selections (the smoked chicken was our absolute favorite!). Lisa was responsive and thorough in her communications with us throughout the booking process and in the weeks leading up to the event, and was flexible for changes in our menu and timing at the last minute. Service at the event was smooth and the food was excellent – we’ve been to plenty of weddings with unsatisfying portions and this was very much not the case with PIGS! We opted to go with family-style service, which the PIGS staff carried out seamlessly. We did both passed appetizers and the awesome charcuterie platter and recommend both options to couples. Would highly recommend PIGS for catering large events!

The best caterers!

I cannot recommend PIGS BBQ enough for catering your event, or even just having a meal at their restaurant! They catered our wedding at shadow creek and everybody raved about how incredible their food was. Their service was also top notch and they were so responsive throughout the entire process. I'm so happy we chose them for our wedding and can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their food soon!

Delicious!

P.I.G.S. exceeded our expectations for our wedding catering! The food was exceptional—I'm still raving about the brisket. Exceeded Our Expectations

This catering team was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure my husband & I were taken care of, and they allowed us to truly enjoy our day! From greeting us immediately after the ceremony with hors d'oeuvres & drinks, taking my bouquet up to the reception for me during cocktail hour, and delivering us our dinner immediately after our first dance - just wow! In addition, our guests raved about the food and had nothing but good things to say about the dinner service. I am beyond thankful to this group of amazing people! :)

Amazing food, incredible service!

We used P.I.G.S. as our caterer and bartender for our wedding and it was the best decision! We worked with Lisa and Pedro, who were both easy to work with and very helpful. We had so many compliments from our guests- especially on the smoked chicken, mini crabcake appetizers, and mac and cheese! We had a few vegetarian guests who also complimented their main course! Our guests were even more thrilled to find out there is a restaurant location- We also hope to visit soon!

At our wedding, everything went smoothly. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. Pedro was very attentive of us throughout the evening. He delivered an appetizer tray and drinks to us directly following the ceremony, and then made sure we had a plate ready at the reception. We cannot recommend P.I.G.S. enough! Thank you for making our wedding day so delicious!

Perfect experince!

So many things went wrong on my big day BUT my catering! PIGS saved the entire day!! Between the staff providing immaculate service, delicious food & everything between! The food was delicious! We received so many compliments & comments on how good the food was & how the portions were perfect! Staff jumped in & helped in so many ways & without being asked, helped clean up everything during & after the event & went above & beyond to make our day special. The head gentleman in charge was awesome & asked all questions to the best man so I didn't have to worry about a thing!! I highly recommend PIGS for any event!

Best Wedding Food Ever!

We were really impressed with PIGS when we met them at a wedding show. The hors d'oeuvres tasted better and had a more elevated presentation than any other caterer we considered (some of which were MUCH more expensive). The tasting experience with PIGS was also really wonderful and made it a real challenge to narrow down the menu! Lisa was a pleasure to work with during the planning process and it was a nice feature that they work directly with the event rental company so we were able to choose our dinnerware, napkins, glassware and the order was handled through PIGS. One less vendor - hallelujah! The team who worked our reception was incredibly attentive and were constantly making sure my husband and I had everything we needed. Our guests RAVED about the food. We are very happy with our decision to work with PIGS for our wedding day.

Pigs BBQ Catering: Kevin and his crew provided the most outstanding service for my daughter’s wedding this past weekend!! I truly cannot commend them enough! The alcohol delivery company shorted us on supplies and Kevin went to the store TWICE to get what was needed!!!! He truly made sure everything was perfect and took care of everything! I just love all of this crew. They truly made my daughter’s wedding extra special. Oh, and the food was FANTASTIC!!!! I have nothing but praise in all regards. Delicious food and amazing staff!

Not only was the staff at PIGS amazing to work with, but their food is AMAZING! Everyone raved about how good the food was. They have a large selection of food to choose from so my husband and I felt like we could add a little bit of everything. A few of my guests were vegetarian and I was easily able to select alternative options for them. Their hors d’oeuvres were so fun and creative. On the day of the wedding, the staff made sure that all guests were happy, including my husband and I and our wedding party. Jimmy was so responsive and attentive. He made sure that we were all happy and not hungry during our wedding day. He checked in on me several times throughout the day and made me feel so seen! The Best Service and Food

P.I.G.S was absolutely amazing. Not only was the food delicious but the service was absolutely impeccable. The lead that was assigned to our wedding went above and beyond. He immediately met my new husband and I and our bridal party at the end of the aisle after we said I Do with hors d'oeuvres and when we finally sat for dinner, he got my husband and I our plates and our drinks so that we could sit and relax. He made sure the tables of our families were called first and all night long even helped our grandparents, who have difficulty getting around, helping them to get down steps and to the car safely. We really couldn't have asked for a better team and better food. Absolutely exceptional. Highly recommend!

Great Wedding Caterer

PIGS is a fantastic option for a wedding caterer! At first my wife was skeptical of barbeque for our wedding however, PIGS brings both highly professional staff and options that are more refined than a backyard BBQ. PIGS handled all our table setting, glassware, equipment rentals, including chairs, simplifying our vendor management!

The hardest part about working with PIGS is selecting your menu! The meat, sides, and sauces are so good that its takes time to select your menu. All our food was delicious, we highly recommend the brisket and smoked chicken with the cold green beans, roasted potatoes, and seasonal salad. PIGS brings so much food that everyone is well fed and there were plenty of leftovers. At other weddings we’ve attended there isn’t enough food and folks are hungry, this will not be the case with PIGS. We had multiple guests complimenting our dinner and cocktail food.

The catering staff is dressed professionally and were on top of managing the food, glassware, and cocktail hour. One nice touch, the staff personally made sure my wife and I had plenty to eat (which we’ve heard is a common mistake). We did photos between the cocktail hour and dinner and he made sure we had full plates of food upon returning to the reception. Finally, PIGS didn’t charge us for the tasting which was another nice benefit compared to other vendors.

Overall, PIGS was exceptional value that simplified planning our wedding and made for a great day!

The best type of vendor is one you have to absolutely not worry about and be reassured they've got everything covered. PIGS was wonderful from the start. Lisa was easy to work with and communicate with, and our team on the big day was attentive and on top of it! Pedro made sure we had dinner and appetizers and offered to even grab our drinks for us when we were running low. I received nothing but compliments from my guests, and of course the food was delicious. We recommend PIGS to everyone.

We are so thankful that we chose P.I.G.S to cater our wedding! Lisa and Jimmy were so great to work with. We had a few last minute changes and Lisa was super accommodating and patient. Jimmy was a dream to work with on our big day. He made sure everything ran smoothly and took care of every detail. On top of such wonderful service, the food was so amazing! Great Wedding Caterer

PIGS was a great caterer for our wedding of almost 200 people! Lisa and her team did an awesome job of taking care of us and walking us through the process from start to finish. They're experts, very professional, and were flexible, allowing us to tweak things up to a week or two before the wedding. The food was also really great. The BBQ was excellent (even the biggest BBQ snobs commented how much they liked it), the passed apps were elevated and the oysters were a huge hit. The day of crew also did a great job of taking care of everyone, and made us feel especially special on our big day. We'd highly recommend them!

Great BBQ and Services

This is the second time we've used P.I.G.S. for a large event. The food is fantastic! We were able to go to their restaurant for a tasting and then customized our menu. Our guests really enjoyed the charcuterie board we had at the cocktail hour. If you're considering P.I.G.S., stop by their restaurant in Frederick and try their BBQ!

Fantastic!

Best service, best food, best team. Hire pigs!

PIGS catered our 85 person wedding in May of 2021. From the start (getting quote and planning with Lisa) the team blew our expectations out of the water. We used the team to rent linens, silverware, some of our furniture (bars + shelving), and of course to provide a buffet-style dinner to our wedding guests. Everything was spectacular, and extremely affordable compared to other vendors we considered.
The food was perfect, the staff was the most amazing of any vendor we worked with. They were a dream team, led by our FANTASTIC event captain, Jimmy. As the bride and groom, we were never without a drink in our hands (even when taking pictures during cocktail, or food options right in front of us). The team was polite, attentive, and just so fun to work with. Everyone loved the food as well. I would hire PIGS again in a heartbeat - they were just that good.

Trust the reviews!

My husband and I got married in Maryland but live out of state. We had to rely heavily on reviews when choosing our caterer for our wedding. Let me just say, TRUST THE FANTASTIC REVIEWS. We could not have picked a better caterer for our wedding day. Our guests are still complimenting us on the food and service two months later. (The Mac n' Cheese is to die for!) Lisa was great to work with and helped a ton with our rentals through Select Rentals as well. PIGS was so accommodating and easy to work with when planning a pandemic era wedding. The quality of food and service for the price is unbeatable. They have an expansive menu with tons of options that can fit any appetite, including substitutes for vegetarian guests that aren't just salad. Truly the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was fed and happy. If you are looking for BBQ for your wedding, you won't find anyone better than PIGS. Guests called it the best wedding food ever

My now-husband and I knew we wanted BBQ at our wedding, and PIGS was by far the best we tried. From the crispy skin on the grilled chicken to the juicy brisket, from the scrumptious appetizers to the service, we were blown away at the tasting and no other caterer could measure up.

Lisa, part of the husband-and-wife team who own the company, was super responsive and very helpful in answering all my questions. She and her team head Pedro came to our final walkthrough to ensure all the details were set. On my wedding day, which was rainy and cold, PIGS even set up outdoor ceremony chairs in addition to indoor chairs, just in case there was a chance we got lucky with the rain and could go outside (we didn’t get lucky, alas!).

Our sweetheart table was located off the end of the buffet, and as guests walked past us with their plates, we got so many comments on how great the food looked, and how it was the best wedding food ever. PIGS also made delicious pies for our dessert, since we preferred those to a cake. PIGS made a signature cocktail that we requested perfectly to our tastes (blackberry bourbon lemonade, not too sweet!).

My only regret: having to give the leftovers to family and friends as we departed for our honeymoon! I wanted to eat it all!

Excellent Service

Lisa and her team are wonderful to work with. We did BBQ and passed hors d'oeuvre for our wedding and we received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was. Their customer service and attentiveness were exceptional. They really took care of us and our guests. I cannot thank them enough. Pedro went above and beyond. He made sure my husband and I were fed and checked in on us throughout the day to see if we needed anything. PIGS BBQ played a huge part in making our wedding absolutely perfect.

We wanted anything but a “beef, chicken or fish” dinner and PIGS delivered!!!

Everything about PIGS is amazing! My husband and I wanted something “different” for our wedding and once we tasted PIGS BBQ we were sold! The sauces and rubs are so amazing and all of their slow smoked meats are to die for! They have such creative appetizers and everyone at our wedding loved the tomato soup/grilled cheese shooters and the crab cakes! Even our parents/older relatives who expected a more “traditional” wedding dinner loved the meal and couldn’t stop talking about how great the food was! We went buffet style, which I would definitely recommend because it is simplifies everything so much and everyone wanted a second round! Even with everyone getting second helpings, we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy after the wedding. The PIGS staff also made sure that my husband and I had a plate of our favorite meats & sides ready for us and they made sure that we had a chance to eat at our own wedding because they understood how busy the reception could be for the bride and groom! The food is phenomenal and the staff is so kind and easy to work with! We would recommend PIGS to anyone and we are thrilled that they are opening a restaurant soon too! We can’t wait to check it out and have some more incredible PIGS BBQ!

Absolutely the BEST experience!

What an amazing company/caterer!! We were supposed to get married in May 2020, but with COVID we rescheduled to July... then to October. PIGS was not only flexible, but they also took every precaution to ensure the safety of our guests and their employees when we were finally able to have our wedding. They also really worked with our budget, which was something we truly appreciated. The food was amazing! The brisket was out of this world and the sides and appetizers were also amazing!! As good as the food was, the service was even better. Jimmy was phenomenal and made sure that my husband and I were taken care of with drinks and food the entire night! Not only that, but he knew exactly what the immediate family was drinking and never let a cup stay empty! Everyone else on staff was amazing as well and truly were such a highlight on our special day. Working with Lisa leading up to the big day was such a joy, and I truly enjoyed her warmness over email! Thank you for the amazing experience and excellent food! I would 10/10 recommend this for anyone looking for top notch food and the BEST service!!

Highly Recommend!

We had the opportunity to work with PIGS for our special wedding day. Lisa and her team went above and beyond from the planning, the day of and clean up. We were effected by COVID and Lisa provided all options we had and walked us through what our new plan looked like. We were in constant communication from preparing the proposal until a week before for any last minute updates on her end. For the day of her team was very professional and friendly. Our guests loved the bartender and all of the servers. The staff had the proper PPE and everyone felt safe during the event. We are beyond thankful for our amazing Captain, Daniel. Daniel make sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. We are so thankful that we choose such a great caterer for our special day! We highly recommend PIGS to be trusted for your special day or any other events! Thank you Lisa and team!!!

Southern Chic Cuisine

Best wedding food ever! My husband and I knew we didn’t want to go the traditional, plated “chicken or fish” route, and we were so pleased when our wedding venue told us about PIGS BBQ. We wanted to have a casual yet elegant reception out in the rolling hills of VA, and this gourmet BBQ couldn’t have been a better fit. From our first conversation to Lisa, to the prompt food tasting, to our wedding night, we were continually impressed with this business. Not only is all of the food absolutely delicious, but Lisa and her staff were professional, attentive, and SO kind. Lisa helped us navigate several changes months leading up to our wedding- and she did it with so much grace. We had such peace of mind going into our big day that the PIGS staff would take care of us and our guests. They went above and beyond, especially making sure my husband and I had food and drinks immediately following the ceremony (during portraits) and then had a full, hot plate ready for us when we concluded our golden hour photoshoot. All of our guests are still raving about how good the food was- and how unique it was for a wedding. It is no surprise that we hardly had any leftovers! We are hoping to have another special event in the future so we can have PIGS BBQ cater again!

Best day of my life

Lisa and her team have the most amazing staff!! Pedro and the whole team took such good care of us. It was literally the best day of my life. They always made sure we had food or drinks, brought us some appetizers during pictures, even brought me a whole tray of oysters to have with my dinner. They packed everything up so neatly and nicely for us. I was blown away. Everyone loved the food, the brisket was so tasty, and the chicken was falling off the bone. So delicious. They even set aside all our decorations to clean up the next day so we didn’t have to do it that night.

Amazing BBQ and Service

PIGS food was fantastic on our wedding day. No one believed us that the appetizers were from a BBQ place, but we had bacon wrapped scallops, crab stuffed mushrooms, and a blackberry mozzarella skewer that were all amazing. The brisket, pulled pork, and mac n cheese were phenomenal too.

But, the best thing about PIGS was the service and attention to detail the whole day of the wedding. They were organized and on top of every moment of the wedding. We were greeted with ice water after our outdoor ceremony and the care continued from there.

Absolutely Fantastic

Look no further than PIGS for all your catering needs. Lisa was so responsive and flexible throughout our time working together. The food was all so delicious, our guests had nothing but great thing to say about everything they tasted. The food created a nice relaxed atmosphere that kept guests happy.
The icing on the cake was the service Jimmy provided, it was out of this world. He made sure we had plenty to eat and drink all night, even meeting us with a drink right after the ceremony.

The catering staff at PIGS was a pleasure to work with. And if you want guests to talk about how GOOD and AMAZING the food was at your wedding -look no further. Excellent Caterer

Lisa, Pedro and team outdid themselves from start to finish. Beginning with the first inquiry, Lisa was always one step ahead of us making sure we thought of everything! She was extremely responsive throughout the process and then with COVID she was the first to contact us and let us know how we could still have our wedding while practicing all safety measures. PIGS was so good to us and I could go on and on about everything they did to make our day perfect. They helped clean up the wedding decor at the end of the night, packed up all the leftover food for us to take home, even made sure to help load anything into my parents car at the end of the night. Pedro was constantly making sure my parents as well as us (the bride and groom) had what we needed. From food to drinks, he served us like royalty. They go above and beyond and not to mention the food is delicious. We had the brisket, chicken, and pulled pork on our menu- we received so many compliments on the food :) Every penny we spent was worth it and they did a phenomenal job. I plan to use PIGS for all my future catering needs. Dont think twice- PIGS will not disappoint

PIGS -wedding catering

Lisa and PIGS was incredibly helpful as we had to re-plan our wedding from a 300 person wedding to a small intimate ceremony due to COVID-19. They were wonderful and reassuring in the planning process. The day of, they made everything run very smoothly. Their day of wedding staff was very polite and the food was delicious.

Amazing Catering Service

We used P.I.G.S catering for our wedding and couldn't have been happier with our decision. Lisa and team were awesome to work with throughout the entire process. They were flexible, accommodating, and responsive as we had to make multiple changes due to COVID. Having a full-service catering team alleviated a lot of our stress since we were able to go through 1 team. 7/4/2020 - the best wedding food we've ever had

PIGS BBQ catered our 7/4/2020 wedding and we heard from countless guests that it was the BEST food at a wedding they had ever had - and we have to agree, it was AMAZING. We loved every single thing about working with Lisa, Pedro, and the rest of the team. I was unable to go for a tasting prior to our wedding, but Lisa was so helpful and very easy to work with. I can honestly say that every single thing from the passed appetizers to the baked beans, smoked chicken, and signature BBQ sauces, tasted absolutely amazing. We are from West Virginia and we have already planned on making a trip to Frederick so that we can visit their restaurant and have their food again. Do not hesitate to contact Lisa and to use them for your wedding and catering needs, you will absolutely not regret it!!

Great team, Fabulous Food, Excellent Service, and Overall Wonderful "Friendorship"

If you're looking for delicious BBQ food and all of the fixings, attentive customer service, and great pricing, than please look no further than to P.I.G.S BBQ Catering! My best friend had hired them to cater her wedding 5 years ago, and the food was remarkable! Once I launched my own wedding planning business in 2016, I knew who would be one of my recommended caterers in the Frederick, MD/surrounding areas! Lisa & her team do not only provide attentive & friendly customer service, but their team executes flawlessly from start-to-finish. A designated team member worked with me last year with a full-service planning client. We conducted a thorough walk through together, discussed a game plan for set-up, execution, and breakdown. They always exchanged timely emails and communication throughout the planning process. They are the epitome of team players, when working together on and offsite. The wedding went off without a hitch, the food was incredible, and the overall experience made it not only memorable for the clients, but for me as a partnered vendor. They always go above and beyond, recommend food within client budgets, and ensure your day is set for success. Wonderful experience

I looked at at least 12 different caterers for our wedding and we ended up choosing P.I.G.S. because we felt like they were affordable and we knew all of our guests would enjoy the food. I am so happy we went with them. They were so nice to work with the entire time, and the servers on our wedding day were amazing. They always made sure I had a drink in hand even though I never once asked for one. The food was outstanding and I felt like all of our guests enjoyed the evening with a full belly and were more than satisfied. I feel like when all is said and done we got a lot for our money and the money we did spend was well spent. I would use P.I.G.S. again in a heart beat! I would highly recommend!

Crème De La Crème

Lisa and Roddy did such an amazing job on our wedding and I am just so, so grateful for all that they did to make sure everything was perfect. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. We received our food hot, quickly and they made sure everyone’s drinks were full. They provided all of our linens, barware, glassware, china, flatware, etc. and made sure we had enough of everything, so we did not have to worry about any of that. We wanted to have a big head table (30 people!) with lush garland going down the middle and our venue did not have the right table size, but Lisa was able to get that for us, which was a huge help and it turned out beautifully. It was such a pleasure to work with them over the past year and I would highly recommend Lisa and Roddy to anyone! They are amazing.

Wonderful Food and Professional Staff!

My daughter was married June 2019 and P.I.G.S catering was top notch. Lisa was very flexible, as we had to make a few last minute changes. She even accommodated 2 of our guests who are vegan, letting them choose a meal separate from what was being offered. We had passed hors d'oeuvres and a beautiful, fresh fruit display for the cocktail hour and a plated salad prior to a bbq buffet, which was just phenomenal. The staff worked very smoothly throughout the evening, and you almost didn't even know they were there, but yet they were on top of everything. Additionally, their setting up and breaking everything down so quickly at the end (only had an hour) went flawlessly. We highly recommend P.I.G.S.!

Absolutely Incredible

Lisa and Jimmy with PIGS are incredible. Lisa helped us organize the big picture and Jimmy was there for the tasting, the walkthrough, and the day of. I can't say enough good things about the two of them. We were not stressed at all on on our wedding day because Jimmy was so on top of things, he brought us appetizers, drinks, and dinner without being asked, he made we had seconds if we wanted, he made sure our VIPs got enough food and drink. They were flexible with the rentals and incredible kind and patient throughout the entire planning process. 10/10 would hire again. Not to mention the food is absolutely incredible and basically our entire guest list of 185 people told me so.

Excellent Company to Work With

P.I.G.S. did a fabulous job with our wedding! We are 3 weeks from when we were married and people are STILL talking about how good the food was.

Not only did the food taste great, but the staff knows how to work a wedding. While taking pictures post-ceremony we were served many appraisers, which is great because you inevitably miss your own cocktail hour. We were brought drinks, and waters while we waited to enter the reception and were served without having to walk through the buffet line. They also catered to the children we had at the wedding, being sure to call the pork "chicken" while the kids were around so they would eat. It's the little things that you don't expect from them that made the day move so smoothly. We rented out linens from them as well so it was great to have that all taken care of in one contract. Overall a fabulous experience, excellent service, and right price point for the job. Highly recommend.

Delicious Food & Amazing Service!!

If you hire P.I.G.S to cater your event, you will not be disappointed! Their food is absolutely delicious, and their service during the event goes above and beyond! All of our guests raved about the food, and it is truly the best BBQ I have ever had! As soon as our ceremony was over, the P.I.G.S staff immediately attended to us to get us drinks or whatever else we wanted! This service continued throughout the entire event, and my husband and I were never without a drink in our hands! I worked with Lisa throughout the time before our wedding to get everything for the day organized, and she was wonderful!! For our walk-through and on the day of, Jimmy was our go-to guy, and he was awesome!! The P.I.G.S team had everything running perfectly, and I could not have asked for more! The BEST Food and Staff

We are SO happy we chose P.I.G.S. catering for our wedding. We knew we wanted barbecue and had had them once before! Lisa was our point of contact during the entire wedding planning process and she was AMAZING. We had passed hors d'oeuvres at our cocktail hour and a BBQ buffet at dinner. They also provided us with our bartenders for the night. Everything went better than we could've ever imagined. Guests were RAVING about the food (specifically the smoked chicken and the mac n cheese). The bartenders were so efficient, lines were never long. Pedro was the head of staff the day of the wedding and he made sure my husband and I got to try every appetizer amidst all the guests coming to talk to us and he also made us a plate for dinner before guests went through the buffet. He and everyone at PIGS truly made us feel so special. At the end of the night the staff even helped break down chairs and tables to make it easier on the rental company. I would recommend PIGS to everyone for both their delicious food AND their amazing hospitality. Thank you so much for making our day special!!

Stellar BBQ and service!

We were beyond lucky to have P.I.G.S. BBQ Catering for our wedding. My fiance and I live in Boston so we actually didn't get to sample the food before our big day, but based on reviews and our venue's recommendation, we felt that we were in good hands. P.I.G.S. far exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious and the quality was superior. We got endless compliments about the food and our guests were blown away. Wedding food can be meh or barely remembered...not P.I.G.S.! Everyone went up for seconds and kept talking about how delicious it all was. We were incredibly happy and felt so grateful to the P.I.G.S. team. Last, but certainly not least...BIG shout out to Jimmy. He was our main point of contact for the big day and he kept us fed and knew our drinks for the entire night. He even brought me a plate of just mac and cheese once I told him how much I loved it. This place!! I had such a perfect day and a lot of it had to do with PIGS... they are AMAZING!!! They helped with making sure the place was set up, they kept the entire bridal party fed all day and helped clean up at the end. Seamless from start to finish!

P.I.G.S. catered my daughter's wedding 3 weeks ago and we couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. They were highly responsive from start to finish. Dealing with Lisa, the owner, and Jimmy, the head caterer was so easy. We knew we were in great hands because we also heard great things about them from many of our wedding vendors. We had the pulled pork, smoked chicken, and beef brisket. All were excellent and many of our guests said it was the best wedding food they ever had. I can’t say enough about this caterer. Do a tasting with them and you’ll see how good they are.

BBQ, Booze, Bad Dance Moves

PIGS is easily the best caterer in the area - you can't go wrong with southern comfort and they do it the best! The food was fantastic, the service was amazing, leading up to and after the wedding. I felt they took care of everything we needed, and I had no concerns the day of the wedding. They set up and took down, were attentive to ensure my husband and I had food to eat, and cleaned up. Just sample PIGS food. Then decide.

We had a friend's barn as our venue, so we did something different from the get go. We simply didn't want the typical hotel banquet. Our casual ceremony (that included our Shelby's) was outside, with the reception inside with a very country feel. A BBQ buffet worked just perfect for us - and PIGS food is delicious. They have a great menu to choose from - and Lisa O'Connell was very responsive and helpful thru the entire process. Lisa also arranged for all the event rentals - tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, etc. Prices are very reasonable - and their service folks very attentive, helpful and friendly. Nothing but high marks all around from us and our guests. Just take a trip to Frederick MD and try their food. The rest is easy!

Best wedding caterers ever!

There are no words to express how great PIGS were at our wedding. Special thanks to Jimmy, who was an incredible coordinator, was very attentive to all of our needs and our guests. All my guests commented on how amazing the food was, they said it's the best wedding food they've ever had. PIGs are so easy to work and so helpful in making the day as smooth as possible!

What an amazing team

I can not say enough good things about the catering. From the very first time we met for the tasting it was easy going, we had all our questions answered and it was DELICIOUS. We received many compliments on the food but above that they went above and beyond to take care of me and my husband. We provided our own cocktail apps and they were set up outside, right before the wedding it started raining so they took the initiative to move everything inside (despite it not even being their food!) Luckily we caught a break in the rain for the ceremony! As soon as we walked up to the house after the ceremony they were there with water for my husband and I and ready to grab us anything we needed. They had plates made for us prior to serving guests to allow us a few minutes to eat before getting interrupted and stayed on top of us all night making sure all our needs were met. Even keeping our drinks from the bar filled (despite it not being their bartenders). They helped clean up and had all our leftovers packed up and ready for us at the end of the night as well. They went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Thank you PIGS :)

Amazing food and AMAZING service...

It was such a joy to work with this team, and the food was amazing! We are a BBQ family and this definitely didn't disappoint. As a side note, I was really impressed with the food service team they had working to serve us and our guests. They were so friendly and personable!

Super impressed!!

Lisa has been so awesome to work with! She's super responsive and has helped us as much as she could with our budget. She is super friendly and did as many revisions as we we needed. The food is delicious and we're so excited to have P.I.G.S cater our wedding in June! Im definitely recommending P.I.G.S. to anyone looking for reasonable, exceptional BBQ and quality service! Amazing Food and Service!

P.I.G.S was by far the best choice we could have made for catering at our wedding. The food was absolutely delicious (I still have friends talking about how good it was), the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and everyone made sure our guests were happy and everything went smoothly for the event. Excellent Service and Amazing Food

P.I.G.S. is a superb catering company. From start to finish, Lisa was quick to respond to questions and was kind enough to work with us to accommodate a few vegetarians for our wedding day. Their food is easily some of the best BBQ I've ever had, and their service was top-notch! We are still receiving compliments on the food and service from family and friends almost a month after the wedding. We really can't recommend these guys enough!

Great food truck vendor! The bacon on a stick was to die for and the sliders were very good. The staff were very friendly and kept the appetizers coming. Gave people the opportunity to order as much as they wanted. Enjoyed the whole experience!

Lisa worked with us on every detail for our wedding. My favorite things about PIGS were 1. They think of everything. For example, they bring you appetizers while you're taking pictures, and cups of water right after you walk back down the aisle after getting married. They create the menu sign. Such welcome touches.
2. They work closely with the liquor store next door (Lakefront Wines), so you can walk next door after your tasting and put in an order for your alcohol.
3. Everyone raved about the food. So much, and so good.

The food from PIGS was amazing! BBQ is one of the best ways to feed a large crowd and let me tell you, PIGS did not disappoint. We had so many options for passed appetizers that it was hard to choose which ones we wanted. We ended up going with mac and cheese balls, grilled pimento cheese and tomato soup, chicken and waffles and mini crab cakes. That was just the start to an amazing meal. The dinner was just as good, if not better. The food was hot and had tons of flavor. The staff was very professional and really helped keep the place clean. The person in charge at our event was Kyle and he was leaps and bounds better than what we could have imagined. He really helped the day go by smoothly and I can't recommend PIGS enough. If you want really tasty food and a professional staff, go with PIGS.

P.I.G.S is by far the BEST decision we made when choosing a caterer for our wedding. Words can not express how grateful we are that we chose them for our special day! From the very beginning, Lisa was very responsive and set up a tasting that worked with our busy work schedules and living about an hour away. Little did we know that when we would arrive at the tasting not only would we be greeted by Lisa who answered all of our questions and was extremely friendly, but we would have the BEST BBQ we have ever had!! We hadn't even left the parking lot before we decided that we wanted them to provide their incredible food for all of our friends and family at our wedding!
The months leading up to our wedding, Lisa was extremely helpful in picking our linens, plates, glasses, chairs, etc. and securing those rentals so we didn't have to deal with a seperate rental company, which was super helpful! A month before our wedding we met Jimmy (our Catering Captain from P.I.G.S) for our walkthrough at our venue and were extremely pleased with his knowledge, suggestions, and questions he had for us to ensure our day would be everything we were hoping for.
As if we thought our experience P.I.G.S couldn't get any better, they beyond impressed not only us, but our guests at our wedding. The food was absolutely phenomenal as we still have friends and family talking about it and wanting to go to their restaurant next time they are in town. We highly recommend having a late night snack at your wedding/event as it was a huge hit and super tasty (we chose the pimento grilled cheese). On top of the food being phenomenal, all of the staff was AMMAAZZIINNNGG!!! They were super professional, friendly, and went above and beyond for us, our vendors, and our guests. Jimmy had beverages and hors d'oeuvres waiting for us and our bridal party following the ceremony while we took pictures too! Bottom line, you would be crazy not to book P.I.G.S for your wedding or next event!!

I cannot say enough about this AMAZING catering company!!!! They were so patient with us while we kept going back and forth between different menu choices, and were always so responsive and kind. Their BBQ is seriously fantastic...get the crab lump mac & cheese!!! WOW!
They were on time to the venue, set up everything, and were so professional the entire night. There was always someone making sure my husband and I were eating throughout the night, and even packed two huge boxes with a little bit of everything in them for us to eat later! I cannot say enough about P.I.G.S!! They are truly wonderful.

The BEST caterer ever!! From the tasting to the actual wedding day, we were hooked! The food is amazing and the staff is the best of the best. Hiring PIGS as our caterer for our 6.30.18 wedding was hands-down the best decision we could have made! Lisa was incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout the planning process -- she worked with us to stay within our budget and to incorporate foods that my husband and I love throughout our menu, including adding on "late night snack" (grilled cheese!) at the end of our reception. Lisa also worked with Grand Rental Events to ensure that we had all of the rentals (linens, flatware, fans, etc) that we needed.

With all of that, we knew we'd be in good hands leading up to the wedding, but we were completely blown away on the actual day. Not only was the food incredible (we have gotten SO many compliments from guests!) -- but the service was absolutely top-notch. We had heard amazing things about Jimmy (our lead) from friends- but we were blown away by his professionalism and service. Jimmy greeted us immediately after the ceremony with a huge platter of drinks. At the reception, he brought me and my husband a plate of food right away, always made sure we had drinks, and made sure he knew who our parents and other VIPs were so that they would always be served first. He went above and beyond in EVERY way -- early into the night, we ran out of a few wines and Jimmy immediately got on the phone with the liquor store vendor to arrange for another deliver and, when our card box briefly went missing, Jimmy gladly ran off to look for it.

We also would not have had a sparkler exit if it weren't for Jimmy -- we hadn't thought through planning it, so I told our photographer that we may skip it...the next thing I knew, Jimmy came up to me and my husband to tell us that he was getting everyone lined up and explained to us how to walk out so that we'd get the best photos/video. Honestly, I don't know what we would have done without Jimmy and the PIGS team -- it was like having a 2nd venue coordinator! They were AMAZING! THANK YOU!

We had a fantastic experience with P.I.G.S. for our wedding in June. The food was excellent and a great deal - people are still talking about the fried green tomatoes and mac and cheese! They offered vegetarian and gluten-free options and Lisa was in communication with us every step of the way. I loved the option of having a seated salad and buffet dinner so that no one had to wait too long to eat, but we saved money by not having a plated dinner. I would recommend P.I.G.S. to all my friends for their next catered event!

PIGS not only provided amazing food for our wedding, but ensured every detail was perfect for our big day. We selected P.I.G.S. to cater our daughters wedding reception after sampling their food in their Frederick restaurant last year. We live in Georgia so we were working out the details with Lisa O'Connell remotely. She was wonderful to work with and made the planning process so easy - all was done via email with no issues. Lisa arranged for the rentals we needed for the barn wedding reception and everything arrived with plenty of time to get set up. The staff was very attentive and flexible (we had to move the serving station due to an imminent downpour), The wedding reception was last weekend and everyone raved about the food ("best brisket ever!"). Thanks to Lisa and the team for the wonderful food and service!

Almost every single one of my guests came up to tell me that we had the best wedding food they'd ever had. Everything was absolutely delicious. Not only that, I could not believe how wonderful the service was. I knew when I met Lisa at our tasting that we would be in good hands and that continued with Jimmy who made sure we had food all night, packed us a to-go box at the end of the night and just made us feel so relaxed. What an amazing meal we had at our wedding at Riverside on the Potomac on April 28, 2018. From the scrumptious passed hor d'oeuvres (scallops, chicken and waffle, and blackberry mozerella skewers) to the brisket, chicken, pulled pork and all the sides, everything was phenomenal. In addition, the service (especially Jimmy, the lead for our reception) was great. My husband and I were taken care of and the guests were smiling. We heard from many friends that this is some of the best wedding food they've ever had! Prior to the wedding, they were very responsive with questions and it was easy to make changes to everything even a couple weeks out. I highly recommend P.I.G.S--you will not be disappointed. We are already looking forward to a fall wedding that we are attending where they will be the caterers!

We made our initial decision to go with PIGS catering because at the initial tasting the food was absolutely amazing. If I had known then that they would also have made table/chair/linen rental, bartending services, and day-of coordinating as easy as they did, I would've locked them in years before we even got engaged! From top to bottom, P.I.G.S. blew expectation out of the water and helped create the best day of our lives. Lisa was very responsive through the process and our day of coordinator Jimmy was absolutely phenomenal. If you want amazing food at your wedding, even more amazing service, and a caterer that insists on providing the best experience possible, I HIGHLY recommend P.I.G.S. I can't wait until I'm back in Frederick to try their restaurant!

Choose P.I.G.S. for your wedding day! Lisa and her team are absolutely amazing. The food is AMAZING. The biggest compliment we received from our guests was how great the food was. They even helped coordinate our linens, the wait staff, dessert, and they worked closely with our alcohol vendor, which made things super easy for us. They basically took care of everything and made things so easy for us. We can't say enough about P.I.G.S. staff, either. As soon as our ceremony ended, we had someone coming up to us handing us drinks and appetizers. We felt like real VIPs. And oh man did I enjoy getting out of my wedding dress and stuffing my face with pulled pork when we got home that night! Best leftovers!! You cannot go wrong with P.I.G.S. :)

I was given P.I.G.S name by someone who attended another wedding. I could not have been more pleased. From the moment I met Lisa O'Connell, I knew that my worries were over. Ideas, referrals, delicious food, and great servers! Our tasting clinched the deal. This was not going to be little portions of fusion food. Everything was extraordinary and I got rave reviews from all my guests. Delicious, delectable, fabulous, real food. We also ordered the oyster bar for the cocktail hour and 6 months later people are still telling me how wonderful the food and our wedding was.
Lisa and her team met with us and we laid out a plan, they implemented it to a tee and did everything they said they would. We could not have been happier. If you are looking for a great caterer, you can end your search.
P.S. The smoked chicken is to die for!

The food was incredible and the service was beyond amazing. Lisa was so accommodating with the last minute changes leading up the wedding (total headcount, number of vegetarian meals, total linen count). Kenneth and his team who worked the event did such a fantastic job. They made sure me and my groom were taken care of and provided amazing service to all of my guests. From what I saw, everything ran incredibly smooth and I heard so many people say how great the food was. I couldn't be happier with choosing PIGS as the caterer!!

PIGS catered our wedding. We chose to go with their other division, A Southern Affair, which offers more traditional meal options rather than BBQ, since I am not a huge BBQ fan. However, I did attend a wedding where PIGS served BBQ and was turned into a BBQ believer.

Anyways, we chose to do passed hors d'eurves and plated meals for our wedding. PIGS did a phenomenal job. We are big foodies, just like all of our friends and families and everyone was praising all of the food. The service was even better than I could have ever imagined. Everything went extremely smoothly and I always felt like everything was taken care of throughout the whole process and through the night. We had a little hiccup where performers were late, so that changed the entire schedule. PIGS stepped up big time and took care of everything when the schedule had to be shifted to ensure everything still flowed seamlessly. I cannot compliment them enough. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to do any kind of catering. Their prices are unbeatable, the quality of the food is amazing, and the service is impeccable.

Oh my goodness, I don't know if I'll be able to say enough good things about P.I.G.S!! They were the first caterer we tasted with, and we never went back! The food was amazing, our family and friends still keep telling us how delicious the food was! Lisa and Jimmy are the bomb. They were amazingly helpful, and thorough, through the whole planning processes, even down to who was going to help light candles during set up! Lisa (such a sweetheart) organized our rentals, which was great that we only had to work with one vendor to get our food and rentals taken care of. Jimmy was there during the day of, and I don't think things would have run as smoothly as they did if he wasn't there. He made sure we got to try our hors devours, we always had a drink in hand, and we actually got to eat our food! He even packed us leftovers to take to the hotel! Truly an awesome team! Would recommend time and time again!

Roddy and Lisa are the best! They are like family to us having been our go to for 2 weddings. Very reasonable from cost perspective and the highest quality and professionalism. Jimmie is the BEST too. Thanks for everything!!!

We can not say enough great things about P.I.G.S.! Our daughter and now husband love BBQ and i admit i was a little skeptical when they said they wanted it at their wedding. From the tasting to the walk thru to the day of the wedding P.I.G.S. was awesome! We had so many guests tell us how great the food was and the tables looked amazing! The staff was friendly and everyone did a great job so all we had to do was enjoy the wedding! : )

There are no words to describe how wonderful PIGS was on our wedding day! Over a year later, we still have our friends and family mentioning how amazing the food was. Aside from it being the best BBQ I have ever eaten (which says a lot, because I LOVE BBQ) - the customer service experience was more than I could have ever asked for. As a fairly OCD person, I went into the planning process being very concerned with vendor management. From day 1, Lisa and her team were nothing but accommodating.
Not only did they provide us with a thorough overview of pricing, custom menus, etc, but they also helped with coordination. The team that was onsite for our wedding day helped with set up, served food/drinks, and made sure that my husband and I had absolutely anything we needed (champagne, apps, etc).
I can safely say that without choosing PIGS, my wedding day would not have been the same. If you have ANY catering needs, love BBQ and appreciate an old school customer service experience - please give PIGS a call!
