  Wonderful Catered Private 90th Birthday Party

  Not a wedding but a 90th Birthday Party for my father as a plated dinner for 19 people in our apartment. Olivia and her team exceeded all of our expectations (which were very high to begin with) in every way. The food was fabulous, the service gracious and timely, the planning and coordination flawless and flexible and their ability to come into your home and run an event as if it were their own kitchen (allowing us as hosts to feel like guests and enjoy our own party) was exceptional. They helped create a memorable evening for all of us. They made everything seem so easy which, as we know, only happens with a lot of hard work! Kudos and thanks to the whole organization from the initial contact through the final cleanup. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Would give them more stars of the app allowed.

  Everyone is still RAVING about our wedding food!!

  Olivia just understood us! From the very beginning, her creativity and professionalism helped my fiance and I sculpt the wedding of our dreams!
  
  We called Olivia after speaking with many caterers about approach, cuisine and budget, and we were honestly getting a bit defeated. My first conversation with Olivia was so incredibly refreshing in that I told her we are trying to decide between tacos or barbeque and she responded with a very effortless, "why choose?". This immediately put me at ease as we started to brainstorm together. All other caterers were now subpar.
  
  She crafted a beautiful menu for us that included mini (single-bite) sized tacos as part of the hors d'oeuvres and an upscale barbeque with hometown roots for the entree. Our guests have not stopped RAVING about our food (strong accolades for the BBQ still rolling in from our Texas and Tennessee-native guests, so you know it was great!).
  
  At the start, my fiance and I were trying to work within a budget of $10,000 for catering for our wedding at 501 Union, which is why so many vendors either laughed and told us to consider food trucks or opened with all of the ways we would have to cut in order to meet the budget, including not serving the cuisine we envisioned. Although our initial quote started around there, we added some things along the way that landed us around a total of ~$11,500, including an additional server to pour wine at the tables.
  
  We received a truly personalized experience with Olivia. She even stepped in to work with us directly when we had questions and get saleswoman was unavailable! From the first conversation through the tasting and our wedding, Olivia was one of our top vendors. Her saleswoman, Christina, was excellent at offering advice and ideas as well as suggestions from other events they'd catered (either at 501 or otherwise). Christina handled all rentals through Broadway Rentals (a requirement of our venue) which was VERY helpful! On staff, Olivia also has a food design team member who created the most instagram-worthy displays! Definitely an added bonus.

  **Additional note for catering a wedding at a venue that doesn't provide anything but glasdware: One thing I'd like to add for consideration for anyone trying to budget accurately for a wedding, is the rentals. There's no way to get an accurate number early, so we were kind of thrown off when that estimate came back just under $4k a week before our wedding. We improvised and provided the linens, plates and some cutlery ourselves to bring costs down, but just want to share that for those concerned about unknowns in their budget (FYI, our wedding was 125 people and Olivia provided a buffet service).

  Amazing Experience

  Olivia and her team brought our BBQ wedding vision to life in the most perfect way.
  Our wedding food was incredible and so beautifully put together! We were told many times by guests that it was the best food they ever had at a wedding. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind as well. Shout out to you Christina for putting up with our million questions and meeting our type-A scrutiny always with understanding and patience. We always felt that we were in good hands.
  We are so thankful to have found Olivia Cooks For You as a catering partner for our big day, and we hoped that our leftovers never ran out!

  Olivia and Team For the Win

  Our guest loved the food, we loved the food what else matters? They were very helpful in putting a menu that reflected our desires and taste. Made adjustments to cut cost. Obviously Olivia is the Genius behind it all but Christina is priceless and Rob was perfect on the day.

  A perfectly wonderful wedding day!

  Olivia Cooks for You catered our Brooklyn brownstone wedding this past weekend and everything was absolutely perfect. The food was “out-of-this-world” delicious and so beautifully displayed that our guests could not stop talking about it. I received so many compliments on the food (my dream taco bar, spicy margaritas and amazing hors d'oeuvres!) and on the lovely folks who staffed the event. Christina and Olivia were a delight to work with on planning the wedding and were so encouraging about any ideas we had for our day. It was truly a dream wedding and the catering and lovely staff helped to make the day perfect for us.

  Amazing food, phenomenal service, accommodated all our requests

  We loved working with Olivia and her team, especially Christina who helped us plan and orchestrate all the details of the day. We had a number of requests to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences and, with every weird request, they just said, "sure, we can do that!" Olivia and Christina were easy to communicate with and whenever we had trouble making decisions about the menu or event flow, they offered their guidance and expertise. We had at least 4 guests say it was the best food they ever had at an event! Many more complemented us on the delicious meal. Above all, the service was incredible. Things ran flawlessly and everyone was very well fed! You know you found an amazing caterer when the Argentines love the steak, the Italians love the burrata and the French love the cheese table all while keeping the vegans happy with an incredible roasted cauliflower dish. I highly recommend Olivia and her team! They nailed it! Thank you guys

  Wedding Catering

  We hired Olivia Cooks for You for our September 2019 wedding. The company handles everything, from ordering the rentals, to walk through, to catering waitstaff. The food was amazing! No cold sad entrees here! The entire setup- from the market table to the entrees and passed appetizers was great. The communication from Christina, who handles the business/logistics was responsive. She walked me through all the details and was on top of delivery of the event.

  We could not have been happier about our experience with Olivia Cooks. We worked with Olivia and team to host a reception for close family the day before our wedding. From settling proposal/budget/rental details with Christina, to working with Olivia and Matt on the day of the party, we were pleased with every interaction and so delighted with the party that they helped us throw. Everyone we worked with was extremely professional. Christina was incredibly helpful in advising us on quantities, rentals, and menu. Olivia created the most beautiful and delicious spread (which got rave reviews from all the guests). Matt was so friendly, putting us at ease about everything, and extending his stay so we could continue the party for a bit longer. We cannot wait until we have the opportunity to work with Olivia and her team again!

  Delicious!

  The food that Olivia cooked for my wedding was SO AMAZING. I really can't say enough good things. The food was good enough to please everyone from the super picky all the way up to the super food snobs. People RAVED about the food after the party. Christina, our catering coordinator, was my rock for helping me sort everything out and was a total pro when dealing with my overly-anxious brain. Even the catering servers they brought in were very professional and on top of everything.

  Tasteful In Every Way

  Working with Olivia Cooks For You was easily one of the best parts of our entire Love Party experience. Professionalism was top notch, we were never worried or stressed along the way, and the food was hands-down a major highlight for our guests. Olivia worked with us to create a menu that reflected who we were, while bringing some her own creativity and expertise along the way. Honestly, after our initial tasting, the thing we looked forward to (dare I say even more than the ceremony?!?) was eating the food. Thanks for an incredible menu and overall experience, Olivia. We were utterly satisfied.

The food was the highest quality and mouth-watering, the presentation exquisite, the servers were 5-star-restaurant quality, and Olivia and her team were absolute pleasures to work with. Together we chose a stand-out menu that WOWed my guests. They literally couldn't stop talking about how DELICIOUS it was - they were naming each appetizer and dish in tremendous detail. So many of my guests told me they wished they had the same meal the next day! Most of my guests said it was the best wedding they ever attended, and food is one of the most critical parts! We had STUNNING, hand-passed appetizers including Salmon Tartar with Lemon and Fresh Chervil in Black Sesame Cone, Wild Mushroom and Rosemary Mini Arancini with Black Truffle Cream, Lamb Meatball in Spiced Tomato Sauce with Creamy Feta and Herb Dip, and many others, including crowd-pleasing, hand-shucked Oyster Bar. Dinner consisted of a MELT-IN-YOUR-MOUTH garlic and herb roasted Beef Tenderloin, Fresh Herb and Lemon Crusted Salmon with Chervil Cream, Wild Rice, Leek and Wild Mushroom Pilaf, and a bounty of in-season vegetable sides including Olivia's famous Creamy Yukon Gold Potato Purée.
  All served family style which delighted my guests and facilitated an extra layer of bonding and love at each table.
  When you start your wedding planning process, it can be overwhelming as you assess many possible vendors. BUT as soon as we met Olivia during the initial tasting, the food blew me away and we knew we had to work with her because she had the best energy & vibe, and incredible attention to detail and personal touch that really stood out among everyone else.
  
  And that great care and attention came through in so many ways. Her execution partner, Christina, was a delight to work with during the entire planning process (which, for my venue, included managing the rentals). The entire process was effortless and the final product FAR EXCEEDED my expectations. Thank you, Olivia and Christina!!!

Olivia was able to curate a menu that worked for us. We wanted a buffet style dinner with an hour of cocktail service (passed appetizers) and dessert. Our guests were complimenting us on how great the food and service was the entire night. We had some minor changes to the menu before the wedding and Olivia was able to accommodate them. Her team really did a fantastic job. Our particular space, which was a rented out restaurant beer garden with a big backyard was challenging in terms of seating. We had to work with the venue. The Olivia Cooks For You team (especially Christina, her sales and planning manager) went above and beyond to help us work out space needs that were related to catering. Fantastic food and great service! We would highly recommend hiring The Olivia Cooks For You team for your wedding or event!

  I would highly recommend using Olivia Cooks for You to cater you wedding or event. From the moment we met Olivia, which was our first tasting, we felt very relaxed and confident. And the food was great, which always helps! She listened to our needs, tailored the service to our budget and was very easy to work and not at all pushy.
  
  In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Olivia and her team really stepped up. Olivia gave us a second tasting so we could sample some more options before making final decisions on the menu. Then, when we went to our venue for our final walkthrough, we met her day-of coordinator, Carol. Carol was an absolute godsend and went above and beyond both on the day and leading up to it to make sure everything ran smooth and we had what we wanted. Carol took it upon herself to research and organize an ice cream stand for us last minute. It was a completely separate vendor from them so Olivia and her team didn't gain anything from it. Carol just did it to help us and reduce the last minute stress.
  
  More importantly, the food on the day was delicious. We held a cocktail-style wedding so it was purely hors d'ouevres. The highlights for us included the rare beef tenderloin crostini with arugula aioli, the fish and chips, and the Asian flavors shrimp and chicken meatballs. My wife and I were running around during the food service (as anyone will on their wedding day) so we didn't get the chance to eat much. Carol therefore made sure there was a plate of food for us waiting in our suite so we could get the chance to enjoy it whenever we were ready.
  
  All in all, having dealt with a number of vendors of varying quality, Olivia and her team stood out as a group who not only delivered quality food, but made our life easier and were a genuine partner in the planning of our wedding.

  I would highly recommend using Olivia Cooks for You to cater you wedding or event. From the moment we met Olivia, which was our first tasting, we felt very relaxed and confident. And the food was great, which always helps! She listened to our needs, tailored the service to our budget and was very easy to work and not at all pushy.
  
  In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Olivia and her team really stepped up. Olivia gave us a second tasting so we could sample some more options before making final decisions on the menu. Then, when we went to our venue for our final walkthrough, we met her day-of coordinator, Carol. Carol was an absolute godsend and went above and beyond both on the day and leading up to it to make sure everything ran smooth and we had what we wanted. Carol took it upon herself to research and organize an ice cream stand for us last minute. It was a completely separate vendor from them so Olivia and her team didn't gain anything from it. Carol just did it to help us and reduce the last minute stress.

  We loved working with Olivia and coordinator Carol. The only thing my husband and I were sure of was that we wanted to incorporate our Cuban culture into the appetizers, the rest we wanted seasonal (Fall) and not your typical reception food. Olivia came up with the menu as we spoke on the phone, and followed up with a great tasting. We are still hearing rave reviews about the food. And being an architect, presentation is very important to me. Olivia plates and presents everything beautifully, from the charcuterie table, to the passed horderves and our buffet table. Thank you Olivia for the best food, we could not be happier with how everything turned out. I’d recommend Olivia Cooks for You over and over again.

  We booked Olivia and her team for our cocktail wedding reception/party this past October and could not have been more pleased with the incredible level of quality and service that her team provided!! First of all, Olivia's prices are really competitive. We chose to do a cocktail style event in order to cut down on costs and Olivia's catering services included four staff members to help set-up, bartend, and serve the passed hors d'oeuvres during our four-hour event. I now realize that I hadn't even appreciated just how much of a screamin' deal we had landed until the night of the event when we were served/presented with the MOST GORGEOUS spread of the MOST DELICIOUS, gourmet-caliber food of my life. Olivia is incredibly responsive and professional and the quality (and quantity!) of food she and her team provided was above and beyond our expectations! The food....THE FOOD!!! We didn't have a chance to do a tasting prior to the event and instead trusted the amazing photos and testimonials from her many satisfied clients but let me tell you, we absolutely lucked out in every way. We had about 60 guests and were given our choice of 10 passed hors d'oeuvres from her full menu and a GIGANTIC stationary crudite board with the MOST DELICIOUS assortment of meats and cheeses and veggies!! Did I mention everything was gorgeous? Really, it's tough to convey just how amazing everything was but trust me, if you are able to hire Olivia for your event, consider yourself lucky.
