Excellent DJ & MC
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and MC! Russell’s communication was excellent from start to finish. He arrived early to ensure all the sound equipment was set up and working perfectly, and he even helped our ceremony cellist get connected and ready through his system. His professionalism, collaboration and punctuality meant everything to ease our nerves on our big day! He was completely in tune with our likes and dislikes. He executed the perfect playlist. Our guests were engaged and on the dance floor. He truly made our wedding reception unforgettable! Highly recommend! -

Amazing DJ

A night to remember
Russell was such an amazing DJ for our wedding. We had a Halloween wedding and without skipping a beat he showed up in costume and joined in on the party! He followed our music choices very well and even played our more alternate “non-wedding” must plays. Would 100% recommend if you want your event to be a hit. Also he’s super willing to work with your budget and set up payment plans which helps so much during a time where money can be tight! -

Northern Lights DJ service was amazing! I really appreciated Russell our DJ and how much fun he made my night feel. He made sure everything went smoothly and I had fun the whole time. All the while Stacey the day of coordinator made my night amazing! She really made me feel like I didn't have a timeline at all and everything just flowed so well. DJ Services
We used Northern Lights DJ Services for our middle school dance! His set up is awesome- great music and awesome lighting! He kept the students hyped up, a fantastic mix of all genres and well known songs for our age range! Multiple students, parent chaperones and administration commented to our PTC how great he was and how their student had a wonderful time dancing and being with friends! -

Wedding anniversary celebration
We can not thank Russell with Northern Lights DJ Services enough! From the beginning of planning a surprise celebration for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, he went above and beyond- from accepting a personal list of music requests to incorporating so many of my parents' sentiments in a thoughtful way. Russell truly got it. Every song, every announcement and special moment was perfectly timed and filled with meaning. Russell kept us on schedule since the night flew by. Thank you, Russell, for bringing so much energy, warmth and sweetness to my parents 50th wedding celebration...it was magical!! -

Awesome DJ!
Cody was absolutely amazing!! We had the best time singing and dancing all night long. He played exactly what was talked about before hand and just killed it on the dance floor. Amazing DJ Service! Highly Recommended
I had the pleasure of booking this DJ service for my recent event, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From start to finish, the professionalism, energy, and dedication of the DJ were outstanding. He took the time to understand our preferences and curated the perfect playlist, keeping the crowd dancing all night long!
The sound quality was fantastic, and the lighting setup created an incredible atmosphere that perfectly matched the vibe of the event. The DJ was incredibly engaging, and the transitions between songs were seamless. He was also very flexible, adapting to last-minute requests and ensuring everything went smoothly.

Russell and Stacey were beyond incredible
Russell was an amazing DJ, and MC, for our wedding. He kept everything flowing, and has a great radio voice. We had several meetings with him leading up to the wedding, and he was prompt and very professional. His setup was tasteful, and his skills were excellent.
We went with his day of coordinator, Stacey, who kept everything In check, and was the biggest part of our day going smoothly. Stacey listened to our needs, and executed everything the way we asked. I would give this dynamic duo a 10/10- you won’t be disappointed booking them for your big event. -

Russell with Northern Lights was amazing to have out at our wedding. He was super easy to work with, very professional and organized, helping us navigate events of our ceremony we didn’t even consider. All of our guests came up to us throughout the night to compliment the music selection, and he did an awesome job at matching the vibe of the guests and event as the night progressed. Couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to make our night special, I know we loved having him out, and hearing our families continuously compliment him was constant reassurance that we made the right choice when booking Northern Lights! -

Stop Looking! Northern Lights is your DJ!!!
We booked Northern Lights DJ from a recommendation from a friend and could not have been happier! Super professional, and easy to work with. I have never met a DJ that really got to know his clients in order to prepare a set list! He kept the music going for a banquet of 300 guests, of all ages, and everyone was very happy with the music. He even provided music that kept over 120 high schoolers engaged (took song requests) and dancing for two hours!!! His music library was very extensive!

The Best DJ!
Russell did such an incredible job for our wedding, we very highly recommended him. He was extremely organized so that he knew exactly how we wanted the evening to go/sound. He gave us a call a month or so prior to the wedding to really get us on track and get everything finalized. He was very kind and had great energy the entire wedding. Our guests even would come up to us to compliment how excellent he is. He went above and beyond to make sure the flow of our timeline was going according to plan. He really paid attention to the guests to make sure they were enjoying the music and having a good time. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and we are so happy that we chose him! -

Russell was great, he was punctual, communicative, and made sure we had the right playlist for our wedding. He filled in any extra space with similar music to our tastes so it worked out wonderful. Northern Lights DJ came recommended by our venue and it was the best decision in hiring them for our wedding! The communication from the initial contact to the days leading up to was prompt and continuous. Russell, the owner had no issues at the last minute, making a couple changes. He was supportive, understanding, and more than accommodating! Our family and friends still talk about the great service and professionalism that Russell provided, especially during the shoe game that he emceed at short notice. During the reception, multiple requests were made and honored without any hesitation, for instance, my uncle requested to sing “Wonderful Tonight” and Russell set it up for him immediately! It was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better vendor! We highly recommend Northern Lights DJ and Live Music Entertainment for you will be guaranteed to get the best of the best in the business! Mr. Russell has the absolute best personality and we all felt like he was a part of the family by the end of the night. -

Very professional and not "silly". Very responsive to guest requests and played our entire playlist we had created. Also, mic'ed up the pastor and provided a wireless mic for the readers during the wedding. Highly recommend. -

Amazing DJ
We met Northern Lights at the Milestone open house and my dad fell in love with them right away because he knew how to play the saxophone. Needless to say we had the saxophone during our cocktail hour and everyone enjoyed it. The music list was perfect, very up to day, and they also knew how to keep the crowd going. Northern Lights is by far the best DJ around!! Fran is amazing to work with. Questions were answered immediately and he was always incredibly helpful. My husband and I hired Northern Lights for our wedding and could not have been happier!! The music they played was perfect. We’ve gotten tons of compliments that are music was awesome and our guests loved dancing all night! Northern Lights truly helped make our wedding so special! Pick Northern Lights DJ for your wedding! You will not be disappointed!! Music was the last thing my husband and I picked out for our wedding, and Fran was extremely quick to respond to our questions via email. We gave him our final list less than a week before we were married, and Fran was accommodating to any changes we decided to make. He also has a very classy/professional look that a lot of DJs lack. I had the BEST experience working with Fran! I was so worried about picking the right music for my wedding. When I originally sent my requests to Fran, he got back to me very quickly and made sure I had covered all song selections. Nothing was forgotten! And when the big day was upon us, Fran made sure to double check all songs with me - and he had made all the accommodations I had asked for! He played the music perfectly for the ceremony, and at the reception he made sure that the crowd was having a great time!
Long Story short, Fran is extremely professional and worth every penny (especially considering that he is very reasonably priced!). I cannot recommend him highly enough! -

Fran of Northern Lights is a very talented musician! He played a song that we had requested that originates from Peru (btw, my wife is from Peru). All we had prior to his performance was a version of the song played by someone on YouTube and some random sheet music for the song (we weren't even sure if this was the same version as the YouTube video version) and he made it happen! He also ran the music for our entire wedding and narrated some of the events during the reception. Fran was always open to meeting up and talking about our vision of the wedding which was very helpful. We would highly recommend Fran to DJ/Play live music for your event since he keeps it classy and is always on top of things!

Im very happy with Fran and Russel. Russel was my DJ during the wedding and he did a FANTASTIC job. He had my EXTENSIVE list of songs that I had requested prepared and ready for the wedding. I had a short song that I wanted for the walk down the aisle and they were able to loop it so that it was a continuous piece. I had a lot of specific requests that he followed through with exactly! I got a lot of compliments on the music choices. Even when my guest requested songs or styles I had not mentioned earlier, Russel was able to accommodate my guests and their requests. And they are priced very reasonably! Thank you so much for being AWESOME! -

As a professional in the wedding industry, I have worked with countless DJ services. Northern lights provided outdoor ceremony music, live saxophone and piano music during dinner, and DJ music during the reception and dancing. I would highly recommend this company. Fran was helpful through our entire process, from signing a contract, answering all our questions, and providing exactly the music our daughter and her husband requested to fulfill the vision for their wedding. I was extremely happy with the service we received from Fran! We had a fairly unique song list, but he was able to accommodate and found all our songs! I was so happy! Fran worked with our wedding coordinator and made announcements to keep our guests informed of the current events. He helped my fiance and me to guide us through the evening along with our coordinator. All the songs that were played kept people on the dance floor! There was never a moment that the floor was empty! I would highly recommend! -

He was very thorough and patient with us since we kept changing music types and songs, but he let us incorporate our own band for a few songs and got a good feel for the crowd and added in his own music too! Everyone loved it! He also discounted the price for us since we used his daughter, Mandie Badrak, as our Day-Of-Coordinator! Fran, of Northern Lights DJ and Live Music Entertainment, was extremely wonderful to work with. He was quite accommodating to our needs and requests, hence making it stress free. Fran was able to work with my client's budget, and went above and beyond to make their special day a memorable one.
Fran provided the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception, and for the dance portion of the wedding, I planned and coordinated.
For the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception, Fran did a live music segment during the reception, where he played the saxophone, along with the pianist. The live music was definitely a wonderful touch!
For the dance part of the ceremony, Fran had put together a fantastic playlist based on the client's needs and kept everyone entertained and dancing till the end!
Fran also provided LED Up Lighting for the event, which helped create a beautiful ambience and mood, and accentuated the decor.
Northern Lights DJ and Live Music Entertainment is always my first choice for entertainment for my events, and highly recommend. -

Fran did my daughter's wedding at the Heritage House in Dripping Springs. He worked with her ahead of time and was extremely helpful. The day of the wedding was perfect - both the wedding ceremony and the dinner and dance time. His group plays sax and piano, is well organized, and made for a seriously fun evening. I had comments over and over about what a great wedding it was, and a lot of that is due to Fran. I absolutely highly highly highly recommend him. -

Fran was WONDERFUL. I had only met him once prior to the event due to my wedding being out of state, and was a little apprehensive about that. However, it turned out perfectly. Fran was prompt and effective at e-mail and phone communication, played my requested songs, and did an excellent job keeping the evening moving without being 'in your face' or obtrusive.
His saxophone playing during dinner was excellent -- we got so many compliments on the whole evening! I cannot recommend Fran enough. If you are uncertain about booking a DJ without meeting him, don't be. This is the one you want! -

Northern Lights was everything we wanted at our wedding reception. Music to set the mood for dinner and then to keep the party going for the dancing. Great mix of music! Absolutely wonderful working with this group. Ceremony was perfect and i couldn't help but to notice that Frans live music was really making the ceremony come to life. My reception had a few bumps and downs because of the coordinator and Fran was so flexible and taking charge. Although i had a playlist i noticed my music wasn't getting everyone up on their feet, so Fran took over and he was able to get the dance floor crowded! He knows how to party!We also did the GOBO lighting and the red lighting that he provided which made the ballroom look GREAT! They made this event so much classier and special. Thank You Fran!!!! -

I could go on and on about how GREAT this DJ is! He is absolutely amazing. He did all the up lighting at the reception, put our monogram on the dance floor ANND played live music with his saxophone during dinner. It was amazing! We kept having people come up to us and tell us how awesome our DJ was. Fran makes it super easy to tell him which songs should be played, not played, etc! Fran was soooo amazing through our year of wedding planning. We found him at a venue open house, and he was playing the saxophone. I instantly fell in love and my husband and I hired him on the spot! He didn't just provide amazing music for our wedding; he also gave honest and reliable recommendations on other vendors, which was a HUGE stress relief. His recommendations helped us chose our venue, caterer, and photographer-all of which we were completely satisfied with. It is also nice that he has one daughter who is a Day of Coordinator, and another daughter (and son-in-law) that owns a bartending company (both of which we hired and also loved!).
I only wish I could go back to that night and hit the "slo-mo" button to relive it all again! -

I'm the type of person that doesn't believe in a perfect score, but I have to brag that Fran exceeded every expectation I had of a DJ for our wedding! From accommodating my tardiness in playlists to handling every hiccup with grace and class, he really made our wedding memorable. Everyone complimented our music choices at the reception, but the only songs we picked were those used in the ceremony, Fran did the rest. I thank him for being professional, friendly, and flexible, and ultimately playing a major role in the success of our wedding! -

We could not have found a more amazing DJ! Northern Lights exudes class and I never in a million years could have pictured all of the amazing things they did. I was completely taken by the beautiful music played on the saxophone by Fran himself during our sit down dinner. It was the perfect touch! Also, the glow stick necklaces were an amazing surprise and the kids loved it!! Every single detail was perfect and beyond our expectations! If you want class, sophistication and TONS of fun...Northern Lights is without a doubt the choice!! Thank you for making our special day the best day! -

We used Northern Lights for our wedding. Fran was easy to work with and put together a great song list. We had several compliments on the live music during the ceremony, cocktail hour. He kept the evening flowing very well. -

Fran of Northern Lights DJ and Live Music Entertainment was incredible.... We provided him with a short list of songs that we wanted for specific moments during our ceremony and reception, and based off of that list he was able to choose music that my husband or myself would have chosen. He was very aware of what did or did not have people on the dance floor and actively chose his songs based off of that as well. I was 100% satisfied! Thank you so much Fran! We are blessed to have had you help make our day so special!

DJ Fran did a beautiful job of serenading our daughter's wedding reception guests with his saxophone and then after dinner got us all up and dancing with the best playlist of tunes ever, specially suited for our crowd. We had guests from across the US that commented about enjoying the music and entertainment and loved watching the dancing. DJ Fran interspersed country, rock 'n roll, oldies, disco, and gradually easing into hip hop. We are a dancing family, and we loved his style! -

I contracted Northern Lights for the live music and DJ options. The sax and piano playing was PERFECT and sounded wonderful inside my venue (The Lodge @ Country Inn and Cottages) In addition, they had never played at the venue before but were able to adapt extremely well. I had numerous comments on the sax and piano and how nice it was during dinner. Also, Fran was VERY flexible as I requested him to DJ an extra hour. Moreover, he worked well with me to make sure he understood all the requirements for time of arrival and also how to work with the venue's unique system. They were EXTREMELY professional and a breeze to work with! -

I can not say enough great things about Fran. He helped us make our special night even better. He has a huge selection of music and is aware what people are dancing to during the event and what they like.
