I received numerous amounts of compliments on my wedding invitations! I ordered destination invitations for my wedding in Cancun. They made my wedding invitations with all the information needed for my guests. They even drew a map of cancun! They were able to make matching luggage tags for the guests that rsvp "yes", and they made my placecards, CD favors and thank you cards...all matching the original design of the invitation. I didn't have any problem finding my colors in a tropical theme and they accommodated the "rushed" schedule that I created. They were easy to work with, VERY CREATIVE and innovative. Like most brides I wanted something different and not so cookie-cutter. And the invitations were more than I expected. I will plan on going back to them for baby and Christmas and birthdays to come.Sent on 10/01/2008

I LOVED, LOVED ALL THE STATIONARY FOR MY WEDDING! As my coordinator would say, I was a very unique bride and wanted various things about my wedding to be different! My wedding invitations were definitely unique and GORGEOUS!! We have received, and continue receiving numerous compliments on our invitations. It really means a lot when people tell us that they normally throw away wedding invitations, but with ours, they had to keep it! The designer and I worked closely in designing every aspect of the invitation and overall design. The most unique aspect of our invitations was the pocket design. I looked on-line at prices for the pocket style invitation and My Creative Wedding had the most reasonable prices. The design we created was followed through in our place cards, table numbers, and candy buffet candy bags! I appreciated the fact that when I came up with a unique idea for the menu cards and having them to be different for every table (24 tables total), the designer was very welcoming to the idea and didn't complain that she would have to make 24 different versions! And those "menu" cards were a big hit! The designer was very easy to work with that during the week of the wedding when we were finalizing all the details for the place cards, "menu" cards, etc., and I was completely busy and running around, I was confident enough to tell the designer to use her own discretion on how everything should look, and that was very hard to do since I was so picky about every aspect of my wedding. Fortunately, everything came out beautifully and perfect! If you're looking for uniqueness for your wedding stationary, this is the company to do it for you!Sent on 10/22/2008

Quality of Service: I ordered invites, table numbers, escort cards, menus and thank you cards---all very high quality with beautifully unique design work. They generated lots of excitement for the day to come and many complimented us on our tablescape. We can't wait to hear the buzz from the thank you cards.Sent on 11/29/2009
Responsiveness: This is a West Coast company, keep that in mind if you are an East Coast bride, like me. They will not be able to answer your questions instantaneously....as we've grown to expect in a virtual world. Despite the time difference, My Creative Wedding was reasonably responsive in the beginning stages but extremely responsive towards the end. It took me a while to finalize my menu and escort cards, but My Creative Wedding got them to me with a VERY short lead time.
Professionalism: The proofing process is easy, everything is documented. The only negative was the response time in the initial stages of the design---but the operation is small, just the owner and her husband. Again we had east/west coast time difference....all things to keep in mind.
Value for Cost: For the quality of the products and materials --this is a great value. Of course they don't beat the cost of doing them with those at home kits....but if you are looking are going to have someone else do them---consider this company.
Flexibility: all design work is custom--which means there is absolute flexibility. They were even able to turn around the many changes I had to the address labels, escort cards and menus. Again, I gave them a very short lead time and they were able to turn things around very quickly.

We sat down with them, discussed pricing, options, and designed our own invitations all in one meeting! They will take all the time you need to make the invitation unique and all within your budget. Highly recommended for couples with a small budget, but from seeing her other examples I'm sure she is great for couples with budgets large or small.Sent on 10/16/2008

I LOVED how all my collateral went together! I received compliment after compliment about how everything went together, and everything was of an original design. I was impressed that I could give the designer an idea and she ran with it. I will agree, that like other comments, I too had trouble sometimes with communication between the designer and myself. However, knowing that they were a new company, I felt like this came with the territory. Overall, the final outcome outweighed any frustration felt by delayed communication. I would recommend this company to any couple who has patience, and a flexible budget. You will be proud of everything that goes out to your invitees; and it is all well worth the money! Even my husband couldn't deny that!Sent on 11/02/2008

Ordered all of our wedding stationary from them and although the products were top notch, it was hard to contact them some of the time, due to their being very small. Other than that no major complaints, they were able to give us everything we wanted fast and beautifully.Sent on 04/29/2009

Let's start with the positive. My invitations, programs, table numbers, and place cards were so beautiful. I received so many compliments on everything and it really tied my whole damask theme together.Sent on 06/21/2010
However like others have said, the responsiveness could have been better. I received everything on time so in the end it all worked out. I will say that unless you live in California and can actually meet Chanda in person (I live in the Washington DC area), you need to be extremely relaxed, trusting and laid back as I did find myself feeling a little nervous about receiving everything from My Creative Wedding on time.

Pros- They are able to work with budgets and ideas, provide personal customer service, and is a local mom-and-pop business. Feels great to support them and get to know their family.
Cons- Because they are a 2 (sometimes 1!) person show, it is difficult to get a quick response from them. Persistence, patience and understanding are needed if you want to get the worthwhile end results.
I would recommend them to any bride who wants a personal touch to their invitations.

This was a newer vendor when I used them. They are extremely flexible with design and truly taking your input and applying it to make your invitations unique. They provide every paper element you can think of. We did our invites, programs, placecards, rehearsal dinner invites and thank you cards. Everything matched and we received nothing but compliments on our invites. The only problem was the process to get them. My Creative Wedding did not provide due dates and worked at their own pace. I received my invites the day before I had planned to send them out and the remaining elements arrived the day before the wedding. A bit stressful when planning such an important event.Sent on 08/04/2008

Beautiful work! The final product was amazing, however the designer needs much more staff support in order to return a clients phone call or emails throughout the entire process. It was very difficult getting in touch with the designer and much more challenging in getting a response back. I think at the time of my wedding the designer was so overwhelmed with new clients that my own project was pushed back to where at certain points, when the designer did actually start on it (3 months after we had already signed an agreement), it seemed like it was being rushed and not at all like the designer had described when we first sat down going over all the details. The major flaw with this vendor is not the product by any means, but the communication between client and designer. The designer lacked in responding to clients in a timely manner. I even recommended a very good friend and I never received a thank you from the vendor for referring her. My friend also had the same problem with the designer not returning emails or phone calls with regards to her wedding invitations. Bottom line: if you're willing to be put off for some time and not have your phone calls or emails returned in a timely fashion, then I would say go for it, you will have a beautiful product in the end, but if you need a vendor who will give you quick professional responses that are conducted in a timely fashion then I would recommend shopping around. I hope this helps.Sent on 10/03/2008

I kinda wish i had read the previous reviews prior to booking this company for our wedding invites so i would know what to expect. The invitations turned out pretty nice and different from what i've seen, but the colors of the print and cardstock ended up being darker than i anticipated. It also did not print one of our logos on it, that there was some akwardness in spacing. We did not have enough time to fix it since we had to send them out. Also, you do get to see a FINAL proof that must be approved, but its an online proof, not an actual hard copy. Chanda is nice, but I must agree that she does not respond back in a timely manner to emails or phone calls. At one point i thought we were gonna have major issues getting our invites at all. If you do book this company, do so way in advance, even if you do live locally. It really does take a lot of patience and persistence.Sent on 07/09/2010

I must say that I had to laugh when I read some of the other reviews written, because my story is almost identical to many of them. And considering how much negative feedback is written, it is a shame that this company cannot make some changes to save themselves from ultimately going under because their work is truly phenomenal.Sent on 12/15/2010
I will take a moment to commend Chanda and say that after I sent out my wedding invitations, there was hardly one person that did not call me to tell me how beautiful the invitations were and that they had never seen anything like them. So I know, that her work is beautiful, but her service is absolutely terrible.
My husband and I (my fiance at the time) were frantically looking for someone to fix a huge mess-up that another invitation company had created for us for our engagement party invitations (the company was Papyrus). We made several phone calls and no one could do what we asked in such short notice, but Chanda said she would. And she did. She did exactly what we asked her to do and she saved my engagement party invitations.
Chanda, after seeing how pleased we were with her service, requested that we give her a good rating on weddingwire.com because "I'm getting killed on there," she said. Mind you, I had never even heard of weddingwire.com so I decided to go online and see for myself what people were saying about her. And I saw from years ago that people said her work was great, but timeliness was awful. I decided not to write a review right away because I wanted to see how her service was going to be from here on out considering she informed me herself that she gets bad reviews.
We then decided to ask her to also do our wedding invitations, because we had seen her previous work and no other invitation company compared. But this is when we began noticing her lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and consideration for a stressed out bride, and that all the things said about her company were true. Emails were sent, phone calls were made and we would waits days and weeks at a time for a response. It was early enough before my wedding for me not to freak out but I started noticing a pattern. I immediately began to regret going with this company for my wedding invitations considering the stress I could foresaw.
Chanda informed us that she was opening up a new shop (she had been working out of a home office previously). We were then pleased to know that we could visit her shop instead of her home for one thing and that we could finally get some responses to our questions and requests. I know that opening up a new business is difficult, but if she could not handle opening the shop and make invitations/take orders simultaneously, she should not have taken on the load. The customers should not be paying the price for her stress or disorganization.
My husband, (who is much less patient than I) couldn't take it anymore and decided to write her a not-so-friendly email about his frustration with her lack of responsiveness... especially considering SHE was the one that told us about her bad ratings! She immediately got defensive and reminded us how she saved our engagement party invitations, which we had already acknowledged, but this was a different contract entirely. And one good behavior does not cancel out several bad ones.
More interaction occurred that I can hardly remember now. My husband and I got so frustrated with her that we began to send my mom to deal with her instead.
But yes, our invitations were the prettiest I have ever seen and have yet to see. She did exactly what I wanted her to do. When she DID respond she was very patient with us, and she IS a very nice person but she really needs to hire someone to do the answering of emails and phone calls because she clearly cannot handle it all. It is just bad business in general, and like I said before it is a shame that she is going to lose business over something so petty.
Most recently I ran out of Thank You cards, so I sent her an email requesting an estimate for a few more cards. This was on November 12th, just over one month ago!, and I have yet to receive a reply. I clearly gave up because I just didn't care anymore, but regardless of her quality of work, I CANNOT recommend her to anyone, because I would not want another couple to go through the undue stress we encountered, especially considering wedding planning is stressful enough.
P.S. Her new shop is called Paper Crew... different name, same service.

I would not recommend My Creative Wedding to anyone that was getting married. I was extremely disappointed in the service that I recieved. This was due mostly to Chanda's (the owner) lack of professionalism. I would have to send multiple emails to her before she ever sent one back to me. I called her multiple times without ever recieving a call back. I was extremely stressed out in the month prior to my wedding because I didn't think I was going to recieve my place cards or favor boxes. I finally recieved them just days before my event. I wasn't even satisfied with the product I recieved either. I ended up throwing out the place cards and making my own because the names were printed so small. The favor boxes weren't what I expected either. This is the only vendor that I had problems with while planning my wedding, and I think the lack of service is unacceptable.Sent on 10/14/2009
My Creative Wedding's reply:All customers are given proofs for their approval with specific specifications for EACH item ordered. Every item is approved by the customer. If the type was too small, this customer approved it.

This review is not about their product but it is about their customer service.
We live in PA and did most of the work through email (because Chanda *the owner* does not answer the phone or return phone calls). When we were looking at which company to use to make our invitations my fiance (now my wife) emailed Chanda and she was very prompt (even with the time difference of 4 hours) to get back to us and reply to our questions and emails.
Once we put our deposit down to have her make our invitations...the emails stopped. We waited and waited to hear from here and there were many times where we thought that were being dooped and lost a lot of money. Chanda is nice, but I must agree with everyone else that she does not respond back in a timely manner to emails or phone calls at all.
Eventually she responded to us and eventually everything got done. Things were done on time because we were very persistent with making sure we had things when we needed them. I even had to threaten to go to the BBB to get things resolved. Once I mentioned that, she made sure we had our invitations when we wanted to.
I have all the dates and emails saved if there is any doubt to my story but like I said this is not a review of the product. The final product was BEAUTIFUL. It was AMAZING work. This review is of her customer service skills which are TERRIBLE. They need to be more responsive to the customer and realize the stress and planning of the wedding and should be on time with their emails and responses, not making people wait days and weeks for a response.
If you want a stress free wedding and do not live in California close enough to go into their office to meet with them I would recommend not using this company. However, they did join forces with another paper company -- so they might have gotten better with customer service.
Their product is BEAUTIFUL but Customer Service is TERRIBLE.
So shop at your own risk. Like I said they might have learned something from the interaction with us and might have learned to be more responsive to customers, but maybe not.
I wish I would have found this site with reviews before I paid my deposit but we didn't stumble upon it until after they had our money.

I would not recommend this company for your invitations and or favors. The big reason why I don't recommend this company is because the owner Shanda never returns your calls or emails. It might take days or weeks. I received the last of the items I had ordered the day before the wedding. Bad customer service. If you don't want stress from a vendor then you do not want to go with this company.Sent on 09/04/2008

I would not recommend this company for your invitations and or favors. The big reason why I don't recommend this company is because the owner Chanda NEVER returns your calls or emails. It might take days or weeks. I still HAVE NOT received my Thank You Cards I ordered back in May of 2008, when I ordered my wedding invitations. I received bad customer service about everything since my order was placed. I was supposed to have my wedding invitations done and in my possesion by mid Aug. 2008, and didn't get them for over a month after! I called and emailed and Chanda IGNORED me. When she did finally respond she came up with some lame excuse (not the truth) and said sorry - sorry is not an excuse and doesn't help. I wanted to send out my invitations 2 whole months before my wedding date and Chanda didn't GIVE THEM TO ME UNTIL 5 weeks BEFORE, BEFORE, my wedding. Totally threw my caterer final count off and that was another added cost! EXTREMELY stressed can't truly explain how I felt!! If you don't want stress from a vendor then you do not want to go with this company! I am still WAITING on a response from an email on December 19, 2008!Sent on 01/15/2009

Please check with the BBB before meeting with this vendor. After several attempts to work with the owner, Chanda Alicante, we received only the Save the Date cards we requested after paying a 50% deposit (over $500). I cannot agree more with the other responses that say Chanda is unreliable, and does not answer phone calls or e-mails. While the product looks beautiful, is is absolutely not worth the stress of dealing with this extremely unprofessional company.Sent on 08/22/2009
My Creative Wedding's reply:Customer was given a certain deadline to meet. When she could not meet that deadline she cancelled, after clearly understanding that the deposit is non-refundable and after design work was already submitted.
