Best. Day. Of. My. Life.
If I could give Alyssa at Miss Lyss Planning more than five stars, I would.
From the very beginning, Alyssa understood that I wasn’t looking for a “cookie cutter” wedding — I wanted something intentional, personal, beautifully designed, and deeply reflective of who we are as a couple. Somehow, she not only understood the vision… she protected it, elevated it, and helped bring it to life in a way that exceeded anything I imagined.
What makes Alyssa exceptional is her balance of professionalism and heart. She is incredibly organized, detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and genuinely invested in making sure every part of the day feels seamless — but beyond that, she truly cares. Throughout the process, she listened carefully, offered thoughtful guidance without ever making the wedding feel like anyone else’s, and made me feel supported every step of the way.
On the wedding day itself, she was absolutely instrumental. Because of Alyssa, I was able to actually be present — to enjoy the moments, soak everything in, and trust that every detail was being handled with care and precision behind the scenes. And they were.
Our wedding felt elegant, warm, intentional, and uniquely us — and Alyssa played a massive role in making that happen.
So many people have commented on how smooth, beautiful, and thoughtfully executed the entire weekend felt, and I know firsthand just how much work goes into creating that experience. Alyssa made the impossible feel effortless.
If you are looking for someone who will not only execute your wedding beautifully but truly understand your vision and advocate for it with professionalism, creativity, and kindness, I cannot recommend Miss Lyss Planning enough.

Highly recommend!
I booked the partial planning package with Alyssa for my wedding and she is so worth every penny and some! She goes above and beyond to help in any way possible! She was available whenever I had any questions and always answered in a timely fashion. She went out of her way to accept a wine shipment for the wedding and even offered to bring some into town before the wedding when my family arrived! She also was great with difficult groomsmen who needed extra attention throughout the night. I couldn’t recommend her enough!! -

When my husband Nick and I first got engaged, I thought to myself “I got this, I don’t think I will need a wedding planner.” Boy was I wrong! From the moment we met Jackie from Miss Lyss Planning who also works at Brick Gables, we knew she was the one to help us coordinate our dream wedding and since we live 2 hours away, we were going to need all the help we could get. She did not disappoint. She answered all our questions for months, recommend /suggest things we NEVER thought of and put our minds at ease throughout the entire process. As we all know, planning a wedding can be a very stressful time, but not with Jackie by our side. With her organizing, listening skills and getting to know our likes and dislikes, she put our vision together with communicating and going over every little detail with us. Jackie organized the timeline, the vendors, the bartender, the wait staff, and put together a great team for us to have a beautiful day. There was not one flaw with our wedding day. We had the Prosecco Package for our wedding in November 2024, and she proved her worth shortly into our bi-monthly meetings. She is exceptionally organized and knowledgeable, offering solutions in a positive light. She pays close attention to all the little details, even things you wouldn't have thought of. She also somehow finds time to coordinate with all the vendors, ensuring a seamless day. She simply puts her heart and soul into each client's wedding and it shows. We initially went with Miss Lyss Planning due to having a fantastic interaction with one of their coordinators, Jackie, on our venue tour. After we had decided to pursue them for coordinator services, we had a Zoom meeting with Alyssa that was easy to connect and discuss the look, aesthetics, and what we were looking for from a planning service for our special day. They were responsive, very organized, and took the stress off of us and our families for week of and day of coordinating. Multiple guests remarked to us how efficient and smoothly the wedding went, which was definitely in part to their assistance. Jackie was fantastic, and it was a relief to know we had someone in our corner for all the small aspects and clean up on day of. -

We are so happy to have connected with Miss Lyss Planning for our wedding planning needs. We decided to do the partial planning package because we had already selected a venue and had a concrete vision. And WOW, Alyssa was an absolute gem! The expertise, the creative solutions, the encouragement… She is everything you could want from a wedding planner.
Alyssa was by our side during the months of planning, as we worked to bring our vision to life. She was also our go-to resource for key vendors and connected us with the right photographer, videographer, DJ, and florist. Not having to independently search for vendors was a huge relief, and we knew we could rely on her recommendations.
Coordinating with Alyssa could not have been more smooth. Our regular check-ins kept us on track, along with more frequent conversations in the two months before the wedding. Leading up to our wedding day, Alyssa kept in touch with all of our vendors to confirm any last minute details.
The wedding day itself ran like clockwork. We put ourselves in Alyssa’s capable hands and had complete confidence in her team. She went above and beyond in so many ways: guiding us on how to make our cake design work, picking up the flowers and driving them to the venue, and assembling our centerpieces in the most beautiful and creative arrangements that literally took my breath away. There is a photo of me entering the decorated dinner space for the first time, and I’m on the verge of tears because of how beautiful everything looked. It was exactly as I’d hoped.
One note about location: We live in Washington, DC, Alyssa is in Pennsylvania, and our wedding was in Maryland—none of that posed a problem for Alyssa’s team.
We’re just so grateful to have had Alyssa’s support throughout the entire process, and to have the help of her entire team during the wedding itself. We had the very best day, and a large part of that is thanks to her expert work. Thank you!! -

If you want to feel loved, cared for, heard, and stress free on your wedding day (and throughout the planning process), Miss Lyss are your girls! Alyssa was the wedding coordinator for one of my best friend's weddings and I was amazed by her organization and how she was able to take care of EVERYTHING on the day of. So when my husband and I got engaged, they were a no brainer. Jackie was our lead coordinator and she was just as wonderful as Alyssa! She was there to answer every question I had, offer fun ideas, and she embraced my type A personality. They forms and spreadsheets we had to fill out were so detailed and I LOVED it. They made me consider all the finer details of the day and helped me to reassure myself that I had done everything I could to be ready for the big day. On the day of, she easily took care of everything from set up, coordinating with vendors, and all the clean up. Alyssa even stopped in to see me while I was getting my hair done at the end of the night--despite being scheduled somewhere else! Both Alyssa and Jackie went out of their way to make feel special and so cared for. There's no other planning team like them! -

Hire alyssa!
ALYSSA IS THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!! WE LOVED WORKING WITH HER AND HER TEAM. PLEASE HIRE HER! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT! IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE FOR US! Communication was great from the beginning. We went with the Sparkling Package which is like "day or Coordination" but SO MUCH MORE! At each check-in leading up to the wedding I felt so at ease. She really knows what she is doing. She was there every step of the way. The wedding weekend was a blur but walking into the rehearsal she came up and told me to take a deep breath and I was so much calmer. Everything went so well. We really felt like a priority with Alyssa. As the days lead up to the wedding I was so anxious about all the little details and she would always respond with "we've got this" or "it's all going to be okay" and she really meant it. It meant so much having someone there to work with all of our vendors on our behalf and took so much weight off our to-do lists. she has so much knowledge of the industry. She recommended our lighting and photo booth vendors and they knocked it out of the park too. On our wedding day she was there for everything we needed. At dinner, she came up to our table with our preferred drinks!!! ANYTHING WE NEEDED, SHE WAS THERE FOR US! Alyssa is the a super CHEERFUL and FUN WEDDING PLANNER. She is also SUPER PROFESSIONAL. There were a few instances with weather where the plan had to change and she softened the blow of the news (this actually created the two most memorable moments for my husband and me and we are so grateful). She also took some wonderful photos and videos of us; as we did not hire a videographer it was very special to have those candid moments.I was so happy working with Alyssa, I recommended our married friend to hire her. I told them they NEED her for their wedding. I could go on forever about how thankful we were to have her on our team. -

1000/10 worth it!
The absolute first piece of advice I would give someone planning a wedding would be to hire a wedding planner, more specifically, Alyssa. I know it is easy to say you can do it yourself, but let me tell you, without Alyssa I would not have kept my sanity while juggling all the other things because life keeps moving even when you are planning a wedding. Not only is Alyssa super organized, she helps keeps you organize and gives you the tools to do so. She is so kind but knows how to stay on task especially with the groomsman who is always a gamble. Our wedding went off without any delays or problems and if anything that did go "wrong" she handled without me even knowing. The other biggest thing I noticed was that EVERY vendor that we talked to that we told Miss Lyss was my wedding planner, they were over the moon happy and told us how much they LOVE working with her. Also she has the experience to help guide us to the good vendors, and everyone we worked with were some of the nicest people. I could go on and on....So if you are on the fence, I would say take the leap and hire Miss Lyss if you want a perfect wedding day and as stress free wedding planning as possible! -

If you have a wedding at STONE GABLES ESTATE, STAR BARN, MOONSTONE MANOR or really anywhere you REALLY NEED HER!
Lauren and I are SOOO excited! I am posting this right after our wedding! Our pre wedding day moments, our wedding day March 2023 of 170 guests which encompassed the whole Stone Gables Estate, which is massive, and was mainly at Star Barn was a dream of laughs and special moments because of Miss Lyss Planning. We also had Moonstone Manor fully booked as well for the week. Miss Lyss Planning is the best in expertise, communication, drive, tools, and energy to make the perfect wedding day.
Lauren and I thoroughly researched Planners and Day of Help for our Wedding 3/25/2023 at Star Barn Stone Gables Estate. Star Barn, and our vendors expressed Alyssa with Miss Lyss Planning was the best! I was against having any planner at first but now I tell everyone it is 100% critical if you are able to get the best. Alyssa is absolutely the best and Star Barn should default add her and her team to every wedding.
Some of so much that was provided to us: designed our floorplan, day of timeline, met with other vendors with us, assisted us with budget and cost effective strategies, designed our vision for the whole event based on our dreams and her expertise (elevated florals where amazing), kept us on time and organized prior and day of the wedding (even when I was an hour late to start because the suit tailor miss ordered my suit day of), handled our decorations while even provided her own for us to use, decorated the massive venue, blew up a bunch of complicated balloons and wrapped string lights around them, printed our marriage license (because Lauren and I forgot it the afternoon of the wedding day), found guests and family members needed for photos, collaborated with DJ on ad hoc music edits Lauren and I had for our first dance day of, fixed Lauren's wedding dress when it broke from dancing, helped manage my phone that was running a live stream of the wedding to my grandparents, cleaned everywhere past 11pm, made sure we had everything we needed to leave the venue, and even returned the umbrellas my family had ordered for the wedding after our wedding day!
I remember Lauren and I were stressed so stressed about wedding stuff and Alyssa was just perfect. Any concern, question, or opportunity Alyssa was our ACE! We would send her email and request random phone/group call request with other vendors. Alyssa and Jackie were always moving and the value they added is unmeasurable. Because of Miss Lyss Planning my wife, our parents, and I were able to enjoy our special day worry free.
Lauren and I got a ton of compliments during, and after the wedding about how amazing our wedding was. All of those compliments are because of our PERFECT wedding team which was conducted by Miss Lyss Planning which really cemented that picking Miss Lyss Planning as your lanner and day of coordinator is a sure win.

Everything we could have asked for and more!
We hired Alyssa with Miss Lyss Planning for our March 2023 wedding at the Star Barn. Initially my now husband Zach was reluctant to hire a day of coordinator – he thought they would get in the way. Part way through wedding planning I convinced him that we should at least consider a day of coordinator. We met Alyssa at Miss Lyss Planning and loved her. The next day we booked her middle package – day of coordinating and planning. Alyssa was so professional and organized and her planning portal was easy to use to keep track of everything. We had multiple meetings with her throughout our planning, she was so creative and had fantastic ideas. We also got to meet Jackie, one of the lead coordinators at Miss Lyss for our venue walk through. Just like Alyssa, Jackie was professional, knowledgeable, and fun to work with!
Alyssa designed our floorplan, day of timeline, and met with other vendors with us. We specifically chose vendors who had worked at our venue together before. Alyssa knew all of them and easily worked with every vendor. She helped with our design vision for the whole event and florals with Blossom Bliss Florals (awesome floral team!).
The day of our wedding Alyssa was there in the morning and hit the ground running. She kept us on time and organized. I brought all of our decorations and Alyssa and Jackie decorated the whole space! They even blew up these clear balloons and wrapped string lights around them for our dance floor – it was a great idea and looked so good! We threw Alyssa a few curve balls the day of, she handled them really perfectly. We forgot to print our marriage license and Alyssa somehow got it printed in time for the ceremony! I also forgot to ask the DJ (Nick from Klock Entertainment – also amazing!) to cut one of our reception songs. I told Alyssa and she passed it on to Nick who cut the song perfectly. During our first dance my bustle came undone (some of the stings broke) and was a mess. Zach and I still had so much fun but the dress was kind of everywhere. After the dance Alyssa and Jackie pulled me aside and somehow fixed the bustle in no time. Throughout the whole night Alyssa and Jackie made everything run smoothly and made sure our guests had a great time. Because of Miss Lyss Planning we and our families were able to just enjoy the day and not worry about anything. After the event Alyssa and Jackie stayed well past 11pm and cleaned up everywhere, making sure we had everything we needed, and the venue was clean and organized. Zach’s mom also bought clear umbrellas to prep for rain. We didn’t use them and since his family is from out-of-town Alyssa took the umbrellas and returned them for us after the wedding!
If you are having a wedding at the Star Barn or in the Elizabethtown area you NEED Alyssa and her team at Miss Lyss Planning. They were fantastic to work with and we are honestly sad that we don’t get to see them on a regular basis anymore!

From the first time, we met Alyssa we knew we wanted her to be part of our wedding day as a wedding coordinator. She made all our worries go out the window and gave us the tools we needed to plan a stress-free wedding. When Alyssa says, "don't worry about it I got you", she 1000% means it. Our wedding day flowed perfectly and was on schedule because of Miss Lyss Planning. If you want a carefree day and enjoy every moment of your wedding day hire Miss Lys Planning ASAP! Wedding Coordinator
We had such a fantastic experience with Miss Lyss Planning for our wedding! We meet with Alyssa for our first meeting. Jackie Sauder was our wedding coordinator and she made the entire planning process so much easier! During our meetings, we talked about the wedding planning process, how I was feeling and how she could support us. The planning portal and all the resources were a HUGE help in making sure we were getting everything done and ready for the day. I felt SO organized and ready for the wedding when it finally came, I was so happy whe the donut was almost complete or pie chart. Jackie was always there to answer any questions we had (which were a lot), getting back quickly and always being kind and supportive, fun and giving suggestions. During our meeting for our final walk-through of our venue she asked so many good questions and reassured us that we were on the right track. Jackie was there to facilitate our rehearsal and made the my entire family and wedding party ready for what they needed to do and get us all excited! On the big day I felt no stress or worry that the day was running smoothly. All the decor, centerpieces, signs, etc were exactly were I imagined them and the timeline of the day went so smoothly Jackie and her assistant did an amazing job setting up all the decorations for the ceremonyand reception. My husband and I were able to focus on each other and our friends and family. Jackie and Jackie made sure we were where we needed to be, made sure we had food and drinks and overall made the experience so joyful and stress-free. I enjoyed every minute of our wedding, I can't thank enough Jackie and Alyssa I highly recommend them for your wedding day and planning.

I could not recommend Alyssa enough as a wedding coordinator, she is truly gifted in what she does for couples. My husband and I had a long engagement, so we had a longer time to come up with questions about the wedding. Throughout the entire process, Alyssa responded promptly and gave recommendations as appropriate. She answered all questions to her best ability and always gave her best self when we needed her. The day-of, I was so fortunate to have a coordinator like Alyssa. She offered help in ways that I wouldn't have thought I needed, and she made sure that everything ran smoothly. She helped during our couple portraits, made sure we always had drinks, and checked in on us frequently. I HIGHLY recommend Alyssa and her services to anyone- she is amazing at what she does, and she does it flawlessly. -

For (an unintentional , thanks a lot , CoVid19! *whimper*) two years, our wedding seemed like it was the most vital event that Alyssa would be managing- her level of service was that outstanding. At first, we were paired with Jackie but even though Jackie is a real sweetheart and great part of The Miss Lyss team, as the bride, I felt like Alyssa understood our style and priorities differently so I requested a switch which Alyssa acknowledged and responded with kindness and professionalism. Ever since, she tackled this wedding and all problems, great or minor, personal or business related, sometimes with necessary austerity but always finding a solution to every problem with a smile. She was a counselor for us during arduous, debilitating, and downright messed up moments during the course of the Pandemic. Nonetheless, she was constantly optimistic, and it always felt like she was giving us a virtual hug at the end of each meeting. She was patient with our diverse needs and also designed an excellent portal that housed all planning documents which, in and of itself, would be an indelible resource for any future couple interested in working with her. Alyssa is extremely coordinated which put me to shame as I consider myself organized. Her technical knowledge and how to adjust things quickly was impressive, and the many details of her planning skillset made it even more worth hiring her for our day. I am so glad to have had Lauren Driscoll, our photographer, recommend her from the jump because Alyssa was irreplaceable.
It’s wild to think we didn’t even meet Alyssa in person until our rehearsal dinner the night before, but since we conducted countless Zoom calls and touched base via text and phone calls, we felt like she was family. I wish I could
nominate her for Coordinator of the year because she went above and beyond our expectations. Her support from 2019-2021, sharing in our melancholy and joys simultaneously, providing humor judiciously, was humbling. When the wedding itself arrived, she was as excited as we were! We could see her literally running about the space but never hesitating to make sure myself and my husband had everything we needed. We can neither recommend her enough nor fully express our gratitude for her tremendous service . We promise you won’t go wrong if you recruit her for your special day. -

I don't even know where to start. The best decision that I made for my wedding was to hire Alyssa. She was so upbeat and positive throughout the entire planning process. She checked in with me monthly to see how I was doing and how planning was coming along. We ended up having to move up the wedding due to COVID restrictions and decided to move the wedding to my house with a large outdoor tent. There was so much stress leading up to the big day, but Alyssa kept reassuring me that everything would be okay. The day of the wedding, she and her team took over and made the ceremony area and reception tent look even more amazing than I could even imagine. She was on top of everything and it went off without a hitch. The other vendors raved about Alyssa and noted that she was one of the best day-of-coordinators with whom they have worked. I had to plan my wedding day from 300 miles away with a postponement due to the pandemic. Miss Lyss Planning was there for me through the entire process. They helped me reach out to vendors, select linen colors, decide on decorations and executed to exactly what I had asked for. Alyssa was an absolute necessity on our wedding day. Our wedding was originally planned for April and needed to be rescheduled to July due to the pandemic. Alyssa was with us every step of the way, keeping us informed of the status in Lancaster county (we are not from the area!) , any updates or questions from the venue/vendors, ideas on how to best handle situations. And that was just leading up to our wedding. She handled everything and then some on our wedding day. I am anxious with hosting large events and constantly need to check in on how things are going. Alyssa took the reins and allowed my fiancé and I to enjoy our day and I was not even the slightest bit worried that anything wasn’t handled; I had complete confidence that Alyssa took care of everything exactly how we imagined it. All of my guests adored her and family members constantly came up to us thrilled at how fantastic she is. She even took the time to remember important person’s names, which is a personal touch that goes a long way. If you are considering anyone to handle weddings in the Lancaster area, Alyssa should be at the top of your list. We can’t say enough good things about her!! -

Alyssa did an absolutely amazing job helping me through out my wedding planning as well as the day before and day of the wedding. Not to mention that she even was there the day after the wedding for a phone call when I needed her. I could not have asked for anyone better. We hired her as a day of coordinator, however she went above and beyond that duty. She helped our wedding day go smoothly and decorated our venue to make it everything I wanted it to be and more. Alyssa and her team were the MVPs of our vendor team. She came on board three months before our wedding and we could not have made all our dreams and vision a reality without her.
She was able to help communicate with all our vendors, created the timeline with our photographer, and handled a thousand little things that we never would have thought of ourselves.

Best decision I made!
Miss Lyss Planning was hands down one of the best vendor decisions I made. I was on the fence about hiring a coordinator, but I am so, so glad I did. Alyssa was amazing! She kept in contact regularly up until the wedding day helping to navigate any questions, planning issues, and offering suggestions. When it came to our wedding day she took everything from there without my fiancé and I having to worry about anything. She always had a smile on her face and I swear she didn't stop moving the entire time! I got many compliments from my guests as well, saying how on point and wonderful Alyssa was. If you are on the fence, don't be, and hire Miss Lyss! The services are worth it and so much more! -
