Absolutely the Best!
Michelle was absolutely a dream to work with! As soon as I requested information for our wedding, Michelle got back to me ASAP. We had easy communication via email and phone and she made the services offered and price quotes very easy to understand. Let me tell you when I say, Michelle and her team are THE BEST in Southern California (honestly probably the entire planet)!. She is worth it to make the biggest day of your life AMAZING. She is extremely professional, provides the best wedding advice, and is willing to put you in contact with other wedding professionals in the area. I am so thankful I found Michelle – no one else compares! -

Cara is your wedding best friend!
I cannot imagine planning a wedding without Cara, she is a complete master! We booked Michelle Garibay over a year in advance of our wedding and Cara supported us throughout the entire planning process. She had honest and helpful advice and she is full of ideas and resources. Our wedding was at Temecula Creek Inn and Cara coordinates with them SEAMLESSLY!! I got so much reassurance knowing that Cara worked so well with them. She helped us replace a vendor when one of them went out of business, she suggested design elements that helped elevate our decor, and importantly she told me what was NOT worth it or not needed. She kept me very grounded.
In addition to being an experienced professional who is highly organized and responsive, she also has a very friendly and relaxed demeanor which was helpful to balance some of my nervousness. She provided reassurance that we were on track throughout our planning. She also got along with all of our family members and helped make them a part of the process as well.
One of the things that I found most touching is that she makes you *feel* like a bride and the most special person. She took a lot of work off our plate so that we could enjoy the days leading up the the wedding. She kept reminding us "You don't have to worry about that, I will take care of it." I may have a Type A personality but I had so much confidence handing everything over to Cara. She really allowed us to enjoy every moment :)
On the day of our wedding, I was completely speechless about how beautifully everything came together and I know that it took a lot of hard work from Cara to make it happen. We are deeply grateful for all her time and expertise and giving us so many sweet memories -

Outstanding
I could not have asked for a better planner for my wedding. From our very first conversation, i immediately felt so comfortable with her, like you would talk to a family member with. I felt like i had known her forever. I had met with other planners and they were so stiff and all about the event, Michelle took the time to ask about our engagement story, my son, our family. Everything i had imagined my wedding day would be like came true and more! I had the opportunity to work with the wedding queen herself, Michelle Garibay, and i have to say i am so blessed to have had her. I never had to ask her if things were being handled, she emailed me with details as needed to not overwhelm me and answered all my questions so fast. On the day of, she kept me so calm and i was so assured everything was going to go off without a hitch having her with me. If there was anything that went wrong i certainly did not hear about it and have not found out till this day. I was able to focus on myself that day and not have to worry about anything, which is how it should be for every bride. -

Tiana Loyd is amazing!
We worked with Tiana as our day-of coordinator for our wedding at Callaway in Temecula, and she was an invaluable resource from the first day we spoke with her. We didn't think we would need a day-of coordinator, but boy are we glad we got Tiana. She was very knowledgable and knew all of our vendors already, which made it that much easier for her to take that off our plates. She took care of everything behind the scenes on the big day to make sure everything went off without a hitch, and even sent us a cute wedding gift after. Highly recommend!! -

Hiring Michelle is a MUST
Michelle is the absolute BEST. If you are getting married in Temecula you are missing out if you have not hired Michelle yet. She knows EVERYONE and because of her amazing connections with vendors we not only saved money but we ended up with the most beautiful decor and the most talented vendor team all thanks to Michelle. She knows what will look amazing and makes sure you stay true to your theme or feel without getting overwhelmed by ideas from Pinterest. I could not be more grateful for her advice and hard work. She has AMAZING taste and knows exactly what goes and what can help make your wedding unique to the two of you. She had such fun and creative ideas. We were SO happy we booked her full service planning as we would have been lost without her. Our day went perfectly thanks to her and her team. She took care of everything so I didn't have to stress. She is like the Fairy Godmother to every bride's Cinderella, She makes dreams come true!! -

I had the most amazing experience working with Michelle Garibay. Cara was our planner and did a great a job helping with the planning of our day. They offer different packages and that worked best for me. I was able to find something that was gonna fit the needs for me and my husband and my family. I primarily wanted a planner to help coordinate the final details with vendors and to help with the set-up and breakdown of our event. Cara did such an amazing job that my husband and I and my family could completely enjoy our wedding day. I never once felt stressed. Thank you so much for everything! -

Well, what can I say......Destination Weddings For The Win. Thanks to Michelle for planning our dream day! My husband and I got married in Hawaii on the island of Oahu on 19th August 2018 and we used the services of Michelle Garibay Events (MGE). Let me tell you, this lady is worth her weight in gold! First of all, we read a lot of reviews across the internet regarding whether or not to have a wedding planner at all. Many thought it could easily be done without as I am a project planner by trade. I’m sure it could be done, but as we were venturing overseas we didn’t want to take any chances. Michelle had many many contacts with local vendors and if something was out of our price range she would either negotiate or look elsewhere. As Michelle owns MGE, it is an extremely personalised service and excellent value for money. She doesn’t like to sell a package deal, but rather tailors the wedding to the needs of the client. We had two skype calls leading up to the big day and every email I sent was answered in a timely manner. Even if she didn’t have the answer there and then, she would sent me a quick message to ensure me that she was working on it. I never felt as though I was bothering her and it was hard to believe that she was busy working on numerous other weddings.Michelle absolutely loves her job, you can tell she enjoys planning all those little details and loves every minute of the big day coming together. She never takes the easy option when creating a theme for the wedding, she took all my ideas and incorporated them into our day. Michelle knew exactly what I wanted the wedding to look like and my gosh, it was the most amazing wedding!! My husband, myself and all our guests said they’d never seen anything so amazing. We were married in a beautiful oceanside private estate in the soth west shore of the island. Our wedding celebration was truly like something out of a fairytale. It was exactly how I wanted it to be. Thank you so much!-

Michelle did an amazing job with our 500 person wedding at Sweet Oaks Ranch. She brought many amazing ideas and really helped to turn an outdoor equestrian venue into a glamourous and posh Hollywood-style space! -

Michelle Garibay came highly recommended however we just couldn't afford her services ( Totally worth it but we overspent ) with that being said we booked with her Jr. Coordinator Tiana and we were not disappointed. One of the best things we spent money on! Tiana took care of everything the day of our wedding, all I had to do was relax. She set everything up, had everyone where they needed to be and put everything away at the end of the night (I'm sure she did so much more than what I saw but it was my place to relax and thats exactly what I did) Anyways, she was awesome to work with, very sweet and handled it all. Our officiant couldn't make it to our rehearsal so she calmed me down when I was sure that the day of wouldn't run smooth because he didn't attend rehearsals with us. Anytime I asked about something she knew what was going on and when my makeup artist accidentally took my phone and I was searching for it she was on top of getting it back! Seriously, don't stress and enjoy your wedding day! Book with Michelle Garibay Events, you will not be disappointed!

I don't mean to offend anyone...but you're a FOOL if you don't hire Michelle Garibay for your wedding. She is absolutely AMAZING. From the moment I emailed her for the first time until after my wedding, she was super responsive and extremely helpful with all my questions. I hired her as my day of coordinator but she started 60 days before and was available even before that. I almost wish I would have hired her for my full wedding planner. Words can't describle how happy I am that we decided to use her services...worth every penny and then some. My wedding went without a hitch, even if there were any issues I had no idea because Michelle handled everything so professionally. My husband and I are both so happy with how smoothly our wedding went under Michelle's eye. Needless to say, I highly, HIGHLY recommend Michelle Garibay Events! You won't regret it from beginning to end. You'll be in great hands! Thanks, Michelle, for everything- we are beyond pleased with your services :) -

Having Michelle as my wedding coordinator was a lifesaver and a dream come true. She is so committed to her clients, is so organized and on top of things, and always has such AMAZING ideas. She truly understands that this is one of the most important days of your life, and from her heart she wants to help make your day absolutely perfect. She takes it very seriously and is so caring of your special occasion! It was easy to collaborate in person or even far away through e-mail or text message. She's also very honest if she doesn't think something will look good together, and will come up with an idea that will blow you away instead. When we described what look we wanted for our wedding and showed pictures, she knew EXACTLY what vendor to go to that would fit both my idea and budget. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Michelle Garibay and her team, you just have to have this wonderful experience yourself. She helped make the entire wedding process fun, exciting and stress free! In the end, seeing all her hard work put together on my wedding day, it absolutely took my breath away. If you are looking for an amazing wedding coordinator....look no further. Michelle planned the wedding of our son, Joseph and his beautiful bride Hilary. The wedding took place outdoor in the garden of the Darlington House in La Jolla, CA in late April. We knew there could be a chance of lite rain but really didn't expect it. Of course it rained, and it rained hard! Upon Michelle's suggestion the day before, a tent was ordered for the garden. Magically, Michelle coordinated the wedding around the rain to the point where guests commented on how the rain just seemed to be an added touch to the beauty of the day. The tent was beautifully decorated and none of the guests were inconvenienced and the day continued on as planned. The day was perfect and magical. I know that behind the scenes Michelle must have been crazy making adjustments to accommodate the rain but you honestly would have never known. To me that is a sign of a true professional and an amazing coordinator who works miracles in a moments notice! -

Let me preface this by saying that my mom and I are so beyond grateful for all that Michelle did to ensure my wedding was the perfect day. She went above and beyond!! We hired Michelle as a "day of" coordinator, since our venue had an events team in place. However, the venue (a Temecula winery) went through numerous staff changes up to just weeks before our wedding, which had me and my mom both very, very nervous. Michelle was with us the whole way, in constant communication, and even met my mom at the winery (again) the week before the wedding to ensure the new events team at the winery was up to speed. Michelle is a true professional, and she most definitely knows her way around the Temecula wineries. We had yet to receive a seating plan for the reception, and Michelle came to the rescue by sending us an old one she had used there. She answered many questions for us when the event team at the venue temporarily stopped responding to emails. Michelle will give you honest, much needed feedback which is extremely helpful to anyone planning a wedding for the first time. She calmed us down, took care of any and all issues, and thanks to her the wedding was an even bigger success than we could have imagined! -

She was always quick to respond, creative whenever we ran into some issue, and understanding of our budget. She was totally sweet and understood my vision of what I wanted my wedding to look like. Let me just preface by saying that my wedding venue (Callaway Vineyards in Temecula) prides itself in offering two venue coordinators as part of their wedding package. So, knowing that, my husband and I initially thought that it would be a waste of money to hire an event designer/wedding coordinator. As the planning progressed, we found that the term "venue coordinator" and "wedding coordinator" tends to be used interchangeably, when it's not the same thing. The Venue Coordinator will help assist you with all things venue-specific, but they're role doesn't include helping you with design thought leadership, ]timeline development, contacting all vendors, etc. Anyway, my point is that I realized TWO months before the wedding that I had to literally do everything myself....that is, until we hired Michelle and Samantha!! I’m so glad that we did!
Michelle worked with us for our event design & I am pleased with how everything turned out. Michelle provides thought leadership in her design recommendations & she will flat out tell you if something would look tacky or out of whack for your theme. So, just know that you are getting professional insights and the results definitely show. In the end, we had so many compliments from our guests as to how tasteful and beautiful our wedding looked! “Magazine-worthy”, as some said. She is also responsive and was great at working with our venue to ensure that details were ironed out.
Samantha was our day-of-coordinator and she was always there for us and our guests when anyone had any questions. She truly made everyone feel taken care of and comfortable. Also, Samantha ensured that I always had the wine I wanted at my table (with everything going on, a lot of brides don’t even get to eat or drink at their own wedding – so I really appreciated how she looked out for me so that I could enjoy my own wedding).
Long story short: I’m a fan and will highly recommend. Enough said!

Those are just a few words that describes our amazing wedding planner, Michelle Garibay.
Michelle is so incredibly organized, I honestly don't know how she does it! Our wedding was everything and more than we could have imagined. Michelle worked hard from the moment we had our initial consultation and was very prompt with communication which is what sealed the deal for us. I spent about a month researching wedding planners and I just wasn't getting timely responses from local wedding planners on Oahu. Being from the east coast, prompt communication was essential for us. Michelle is based out of CA but is very knowledgeable about and has great relationships with the vendors in Hawaii. Every vendor she recommended for our wedding did a remarkable job and I was so glad the night went on without any problems that we were aware of. We were able to enjoy the night without having to worry about anything. That in itself is worth it!
She was very realistic and upfront about what we could do with our budget. We appreciate that she respected our budget and still was able to create our vision
She has a keen eye for details and her ideas came to life and turned out beautifully. We were very impressed with her professionalism and her hard-working mentality. She really knows exactly what she is doing and words cannot express how grateful we are to have had the opportunity to work with her. I would absolutely recommend Michelle and her event planning services. She made the wedding planning process less stressful and actually enjoyable and fun! -

Michelle and her amazing team at Blue Sky Productions were a dream to work with every step of the planning process.
When we first thought of hiring a wedding planner we debated for a long time if it was really worth the cost. I am happy to say that her fee was well worth it and more!
Michelle's responsiveness was top notch and she made me feel as though I was her only client, as my constant emails had replies waiting for me within minutes.
I was also a bit hesitant at first when I found out that Michelle wasn't going to be the day of the wedding planner (she was so great I couldn’t imagine anyone else being there) but she put me in the best hands ever when she set us up with Alicia for our wedding day coordinator.
Alicia was so sweet and made the wedding day flow so smoothly. All of my wedding party raved about her professionalism and her warm and friendly demeanour.
Both Michelle and Alicia were extremely flexible as well, I had 3 unexpected guests surprise us for our wedding day and Michelle and Alicia were so helpful they had it all arranged without my knowledge.
I would recommend Michelle and her company to anyone who is looking for a wedding planner with the best vendor contacts Hawaii has to offer, responds immediately to even your silliest questions, offers great advice, and makes your wedding day flaw free and the greatest day of your life.
You will not regret your decision hiring this company!

To say that my husband and I were satisfied with the service that Blue Sky Productions provided us for our North Shore Hawaii wedding would be a tremendous understatement. We were absolutely blown away by how amazingly attentive our coordinator, Alicia, was and how smoothly our entire wedding day ran as a result. I feel like its so cliché for a bride to describe her wedding as perfect, but I can't help but feel that way; the way everything came together truly took my breath away.
In the months leading up to the wedding Michelle Garibay took us through the potentially stressful planning process in a way that made it fun and enjoyable. Doing all of the planning from our home in Canada seemed way too daunting a task to undertake ourselves and once we staring working with Michelle, all the anxiety and stress gave way to excitement and anticipation. All of the vendors that Michelle recommended were amazing and went above and beyond any expectations that we had. The catering was absolutely delicious and the servers and bartender were exceptional! I kept hearing over and over from all the guests how good the service was.
Another comment that I kept hearing was how incredible the ukulele player was! That was just one of many elements that we didn't consider until we saw starting working with Michelle and Blue Sky Productions and it was one of our favourite parts.
I could go on and on about all the times I was so impressed and thankful throughout the day and night, but then this review would be a novel! So I'll finish by saying that I wish Alicia and Michelle could spend every day with me, organizing my life and making me feel good the way that they did leading up to and during our wedding. One moment during dinner, I looked over and saw Alicia entertaining our friend's baby so that the parent could enjoy their dinner and I heard numerous stories all night long about how she was making everyone's evening enjoyable and stress-free. Words cannot fully express how grateful we are that she was there and how wonderfully she handled the whole event. There was not one moment of the entire day or evening where I was stressed or even concerned about the logistics, vendors, timeline or anything! And that is solely because of Alicia, Michelle and the entire Blue Sky Productions team.
Although it was never spoken out loud, I know that our decision to hire a wedding planner for our wedding came across as a bit extravagant to some members of our family....I can tell you now, that I bet we won't go to another wedding in our family that doesn't have a wedding planner!!! And if any of them happen to be in California or Hawaii, you can bet we’ll be calling Blue Sky Productions!

We got married this past December 11th, and Blue Sky Productions was our planner/coordinator/consultant.
Let me start by saying that if you’re looking for a wedding coordinator who is a pushover, you’re looking in the wrong place, because Michelle Garibay is not that. And I think that’s important in her line of work because her conviction in standing behind what she recommends demonstrates how much she believes in what she’s telling you. Anybody can make recommendations; Michelle stands by what she recommends! That’s not to say that Michelle is “pushy,” because she isn’t. She always defers to the client on the final decision. But when she makes recommendations, it’s usually for a good reason, and that reason is determined by her many years and many weddings of experience! That level of experience and expertise is what you get with Blue Sky Productions!
So if you’re looking for a coordinator who demonstrates the utmost professionalism, is willing to stick her neck out there and tell you how it is, and is also willing to stick her neck out there and tell the vendors how it is ON YOUR BEHALF, then you’ve come to the right place. Michelle has an impeccable reputation in the “wedding” community, and it is very well deserved. She ONLY works with quality vendors; she has a vast network of contacts; she works within the constraints of your budget; she is very responsive; she pays close attention to detail; and she has an amazing ability to visualize ideas and bring concepts into reality.
With all of that said, Michelle has also assembled a great team around her. Although Michelle did all of our planning and consultation beforehand, our day-of coordinator was Blue Sky Production’s Senior Coordinator, Jessica. Quite plainly speaking, Jessica was outstanding! That’s a credit to Michelle and her ability to mentor along and retain such quality talent on her team. That’s also a credit to the effort that both Michelle and Jessica put forth in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding! Jessica took charge of the entire day from beginning to end! If Jessica is your coordinator, you are in great hands! I really foresee Jessica as one of the young, up-and-coming talents, and I foresee her making a big splash in this community and this industry for years to come! She’s that good! And again – that’s a credit to Blue Sky Productions, as a whole, which from our experience with both Michelle and Jessica, is comprised only of TOP NOTCH TALENT!
As stated in a previous review, I encourage you to interview your potential wedding planners/coordinators to make sure that 1) they’re qualified, and 2) they’re a fit for your specific needs and workstyles. We did interview around, which ultimately led us to Blue Sky Productions. Needless to say, that was our last of those interviews. After meeting with Michelle and Jessica, we were convinced that there was no need to look further, and we couldn’t be happier with the decision!
We would recommend Blue Sky Productions to any potential bride and groom, with the utmost confidence in their ability to exceed expectations!

Michelle and her team are extremely organized and experienced. They know exactly how to make everything go smoothly. She also knows most of the vendors for weddings in the Temecula area and so was very useful with recommendations for all the vendors, and has great relationships with them. She knew our venue very well and let us all enjoy the day while she handled all the décor, sequencing of events and getting everyone where they needed to be on time. Wonderful experience to work with her. Her systems are first class . -

Creative, difficult
Michelle is an excellent designer for a wedding with no budget. She is creative and works with great vendors.
She is stubborn, often out of the office(even the week of the wedding), and was often mean. The lack of care on the day of the wedding led to stress, and her timetable

I hired Michelle for a "day of wedding planner" to ensure my wedding ran smoothly, and as a wedding professional, guide me through (since I have never planned a wedding) It's been a month since my wedding and sometimes I want to cry thinking that I spent $40k on a wedding and because I hired someone that did not care, I ended up in complete disappointment. She was rude to me at times about scheduling and rude to people in the bridal party. She never even said goodbye to me or my husband, or followed up with us. She simply couldn't have cared less.

If it’s not Michelle’s vision, don’t bother.
Let me start by saying we loved our wedding, let me finish by saying it was not because of Michelle and the parts that fell short were the parts we let Michelle take over. First and foremost, if you are Indian or Pakistani, do not expect your culture, your traditions, or what you want to be respected or researched by Michelle. Both my fiance and I work pretty trying jobs and I was not planning on taking any time off during the planning process specifically because we paid a hefty amount to have Michelle fully plan all of our 3-day wedding. Of our total vendor count, Michelle found us 2 vendors we decided to go with, she never gave us options at all for any vendors - there was always just the 1 she suggested and she wouldn't provide the information on that one vendor until it was absolutely too late to look anywhere else. She didn't bother to help us stay even remotely close to our budget, and was completely unreachable aside from forwarding us bills to pay because of the job she is truly passionate about, which is being a part of a Southern California group for wedding planners. One example of her awful planning was when I told her my number one priority was cake (because I'm a baker), she ended up suggesting a cake vendor that was horribly suited to us and whose cakes were dense, overly sweet, and not unique in any capacity. when we went out on our own to find another cake vendor to use, they turned out to be in the same city Michelle lives in with better pricing. Why hadn't she given us any choices except that one horrible vendor to begin with?
Why did I have to go searching in Michelle's own area to find another cake vendor 3 weeks before our wedding from across the country?
Let's move to "weekend of"planning. Michelle arrived at the hotel hours late because she hadn't appropriately budgeted for traffic, already upset that we weren't available to let her come get things from our room that she refused to let us ship to her directly.
Because she was late (I'm assuming this was the cause), our table assignment display (which we had discussed multiple times, I had drawn a diagram of, I had taken time to write explicit instructions for and literally only required her and her assistants to stick a record in a sleeve) was completely wrong and confused our guests to the point where they complained to us and family members who were most likely to be offended never received their record. One might think she'd make up for all this with her great attitude and friendliness? No. One of our vendors we were already close to told us about how rude she was and a "run-in" he experienced with her on our wedding weekend and she did nothing to helo the flow or flexibility of timing during our wedding. Despite an extensive call with our photographer about the time and locations he'd need to use, michelle did not help to coordinate that timeline which resulted in us not being able to get photos in the one signature area of our venue that we wanted and ultimately we got pushed out to the parking lot of the venue to take photos in 113 degree weather. She was snarky and dramatic with my mother and father in law at multiple points throughout the weekend. The desserts and cake we had to find? Shoved in a dark corner on wedding day, the fact that we asked to save our top tier of the cake --she ignored that request (we'll never get that one back so thank you Michelle!).
The napkins and matchbooks my mother in law had printed for us?
Never used, found in a box returned to our room from the planner's room after the weekend. to be honest I'm just thankful she stayed out of my way that weekend but I hope this helps other brides find a planner that will truly care about a day that holds a significant memory for them.
Update: Adding an unfortunate update to this review. Because we went on our mini moon after the wedding, we didn't get a chance to pull down from Michelle's system the guest address list. I asked Michelle for the list via email about a month ago since we had a few addresses for our guests that we added in last minute and couldn't dig up anywhere but her system and she offered if we changed our review she'd send us the data that belongs to us.
When I said to her this is how we saw what took place and at the end of the day, it was one of our biggest days and how we felt should matter most and others should be allowed to have that knowledge and make the decision of whether or not she's a good fit for them, instead of taking the feedback and recognizing there are areas for her to improve on (as is clear from previous reviews with similar sentiments), she sent a long email back refuting our feelings on the matter and refusing to send anything more than a paf list of the guest names who attended. We have since heard from 2 brides who experienced having their data ransom from michelle’s website after paying her and having a horrible experience or even being fired by her. We have been blocked by Michelle on social media so no idea what she has chosen to say about us. Truly hope Michelle can learn from the experience in the future and remember that the industry she's in has a big impact on someone's big day.

Look elsewhere
At our first meeting with Michelle we were very excited to work with her as she seemed great. But man did that change. She was extremely difficult to deal with throughout the entire process leading up to our big day. Which would have been fine if she had done a good job on the day of our wedding. But that was the farthest from what happened. Not only was she rude to the staff at the venue, but she was also very snappy with our entire family during the rehearsal and day of. After sending our bridal party details and table assignments multiple times through her site that we HAD to use, everything was still wrong the day of, it was like she never even checked her site that she made us input everything into. It was bad enough that she kept getting the bridal party names and order wrong, but the fact that our table assignments were so messed up that the parents were sitting in the very back of the room nowhere near anything was absolutely mind boggling.. We also had to pay for her to have a “helper” there the day of, although that didn’t help much. They still did not put the reserved signs out for our family for the ceremony or put the programs out for our guests to have. The whole day was filled with issues that could have easily been avoided had she done a better job preparing for the day of. Of course, we were not expecting it to be absolutely perfect and knew some things may come up, but the snappy attitude and rudeness to our family/guests/ and venue staff made the situation much worse. I would highly recommend looking into other options for wedding coordinator if your venue requires one and/or you want one. -
